Shopping
Ventura Mall is a contemporary retail center located in the Equipetrol neighborhood of Santa Cruz. It offers a wide range of brand-name stores, a food court, movie theater, and bowling alley. The mall is known for its vibrant evening entertainment scene with numerous bars, upscale restaurants, grills, pastry shops, and ice cream parlors including popular chains like Hard Rock Cafe, Fridays, Starbucks, Cinnabon, and KFC.
Its a very nice and lively place, many good restaurants for all ages and tastes!
Johnny A — Google review
Everything is overpriced🤨, a typical westerns styled mall with brands costing more than in Europe. The environment is nice though.
S.R. W — Google review
I would love to give the mall 5 stars however there is a store called H2O that schemes people out of their money. I should have called the police. They give you one price when you enter then a different price when it's done. They target people who they feel have a lot of money. I will never use this location again. Very disappointed in management and the translator. This makes me not want to visit Bolivia again, authorities should investigate this operation.
Herman S — Google review
Nice mall , always clean and organized. You can catch a great movie here at Cinemark. It also has a food court that offers multiple options
Carolina P — Google review
Seemed very nice, with a lot of light, a lot of stores, and many options. The food court was very nice as well and with multiple interesting alternatives. I'd say the part I didn't like from it is the street side that isn't so clean and has a lot of beggars and kids sleeping around...
Luis L — Google review
Nice mall, very clean and excellent prices. Nice food court with a view if you sit by the window.
Dee J — Google review
Must visit! Loads of shop options, great food court as well as gaming floor
Suzy D — Google review
Great place to take your kids and do shopping. You'll find many stores (clothes, house furniture, electronics, shoes, groceries, etc), the only thing that it is missing is a hair and nail studio. There is even a tattoo studio here. The prices are fair you'll find many sales and food options.

Outdoor Activities
Santa Cruz Municipal Zoo is a considerable wildlife park showcasing a variety of animals, accompanied by an informative museum and a weekly display of orchids. The zoo boasts extensive grounds abundant with vegetation, providing pleasant surroundings complete with ample seating and shaded areas. However, one drawback worth noting is the cramped enclosures for certain roaming creatures like jaguars, small oncas, and foxes that seemed restless within their confined spaces.
One of the better zoos I have visited. There is an aquarium and a herpetarium. All the species are native to Bolivia. The gardeners do a magnificent job.
Chris D — Google review
Beautiful place, mostly clean with lots of flora but still a long way to become a good zoo. Animals need more space and a better environment according to their natural place of origin. Also more signaling needed, signs are too old or non existent.
Veronica A — Google review
Clearly the communist regime and the mediocracy of the native people have taken their toll. Lack of maintenance and almost half the variety of animals aren’t there anymore. Many farms could give you the same animals to see in better conditions
George R — Google review
Cleanliness could be better. Average waiting times when I visited. Animals look stressed (perhaps because of the large crowd). Overall a good educational experience for everyone but you can tell animals are not having a great time surrounded by hundreds of people
Marcelo A — Google review
Diverse little city center zoo that has much to offer, especially if you wish to see different things than in Europe. Good for kids with a couple of playgrounds. You can even get diapers at the toilets. A great afternoon stroll with a hand ful of highlights such as sloths, jaguars, tocans... Recommended!
Jan-H. M — Google review
Every major city has a zoo. This one isn't that large but they did have a significantly large exotic bird exhibit. My kids are crazy about birds so I thought I'd take a look and share the pics with them. It's nothing to write home about but if you are in need of an activity while there it's an excellent option.
Galileo L — Google review
Best tourist attraction in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. It has more than 100 different species that can be found only here in Bolivia. Great guides throughout the zoo, and an overall amazing experience.
Sergio B — Google review
Don't go there!! Worst zoo I've ever seen. Animals are mistreated, they have no place to move in their cages!! Horrible

Patio Design Lifestyle Center is a contemporary shopping mall that exudes a spacious atmosphere and offers an upscale assortment of boutiques, eateries, and services. It stands out as an exceptional example among gourmet shopping malls in the country, with its impeccable design, cleanliness, and open spaces. The shops, cafes, and restaurants boast high-end offerings while maintaining a cohesive architectural style. The overall ambiance of the mall is calm and secure, making it an ideal destination for anyone seeking a unique experience.
If there’s a range of gourmet shopping mall list. This one would be great example and definitely it would be the best in the country. Everything well designed, fresh, clean and all open places. Shops, cafes or restaurants also high end and keeps the same architectural design. It’s very calm and safe. If you never gone definitely you have to go and try something. Well done 👍🏻

Restaurant
Restaurante Michelangelo is a cozy Italian restaurant known for its exceptional hospitality and innovative dishes. The interior decoration creates a nice atmosphere, making it perfect for work-based lunches or casual dining. While some patrons found the main courses to be good but not remarkable, others raved about the amazing mushroom entree and the delicious dessert options.
Everything was really fresh and delicious. I think it was honestly some good Italian food for being in South America.
Ryan N — Google review
Good service and cute restaurant but my spaghetti Bolognese was more like a soup. The sauce lacked flavours (herbs) and body. The tomato bruschetta was nice though. Overall overpriced, would've better if I cooked this at home.
Thanh P — Google review
Tiramisu was frozen and in the wine were black spots. To expensive for the quality
Erwin ( — Google review
Food is good. The carte is slightly unpractical as you find pasta on both sides and it is harder to choose due to the layout. Have has better experiencies witu simpler dishes than with the most inovative ones.
Manuel U — Google review
Very nice food, the interior decoration nice and cozy, the dessert was the best and innovative you should try , 100% recommended

The food was good but not remarkable. The mushroom entrée was amazing, but the main courses we had were nothing to brag about. Other than that, the service was spot on.

🤤 a rare steak 🥩 with a white sauce pasta and mixed vegetables sides, we had an exceptional appetizer (I'm sorry i don't recall the name, i think it was their Queso logs w/a reddish sauce), great atmosphere, first class hospitality... Perfect for work-based lunches.

Pan-Asian restaurant
Kao by Sach'a offers a delightful dining experience with delicious Japanese fusion cuisine and impeccable service. The warm welcome sets the tone for a great evening, and the high ceilings create an airy ambiance. The menu features a variety of delectable dishes, including favorites like gyozas, Japchewa, sushi, and wonton/lasagna. The presentation and taste of the food are commendable, with perfectly portioned servings that leave room for dessert.
Beautifully prepared delicious sushi with high-quality ingredients. We enjoyed every bite!

Great place for Asian Cuisine. The SeaFood is Fresh and not Fishy at all. The Japanese Rice is Delicious. You can see the Photo I made with Egg Yolk on Top. It is made using Bone Marrow also , that's why it is so Umami. One thing This Resto should do better is the Air Conditioner. A little bit Hot and make some Smelly Smell of Armpit of some Customers or Workers there. HaHaHa..
Dr.Onassis ( — Google review
Gyozas and Japchewa were our favorites! This is a new restaurant with a great atmosphere and concept, we loved it and will definitely be coming back. Recommend it!

Very tasty food, well prepared and of high quality. The ceviche was fantastic - so I would say that this is a very good place to eat ceviche in Santa Cruz. Service was very friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was casual and relaxed.

Very good food, great service. The sevice between plates too fast.
Marius B — Google review
I’m Asian and I’ve been to this restaurant 4 times. In Santa Cruz there aren’t too many options for Asian food and since this restaurant is next to the hotel we staying so we came here more often. Quality of food got worse and worse each time. The last time we came here we ordered sushi and two noodles. The noodles came way too soft and when I told the waiter to pass my message to the chef who’s name is Mercedes and asked if he can change the noodles his response was “the noodles are made like this “ No Mercedes it was not like this not the last 2 times I had this anyway. As for the sushi I never had much expectation but this particular time we came the sushi were falling apart once you pick it up. As an Asian person I can tell you this restaurant will fail miserably if it’s opened anywhere in Asia.
Andrew W — Google review
The Restaurant was genuinely an outstanding experience! We came without expectations and first of all is the place sooo well designed! The atmosphere is exhilarating. Then the food was sooo good. We were really amazed! It’s one of the best pan Asian cuisines I have tried in my life so far! We had veggie maki rolls and the pork belly Bao Buns. Go and eat there 😂 so recommendable

Nature & Parks
Parque Urbano Central, situated in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, is a popular destination for both locals and visitors. Spanning approximately 24 hectares, it serves as a serene escape within the lively city center. The park features tree-lined pathways, illuminated fountains at night, and sports courts. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls along the paved walkways or take advantage of the jogging paths that encircle the park.
It was quite nice, we had a good time with our nephews and nieces. They jumped on the trampolines, and rode one of the many carts. There are paved roads for pedestrians and several kiosks for refreshment. The many trees give shadow on hot days, and you can enjoy a picnic under them.
Johan B — Google review
This park is huge. From one end to the other end, walking along the paved walkway in the center of the park, is about 0.5 Miles / 0.8 KM. I found this park a nice place for my morning walk. The walkway in the center of the park is covered by trees, which means that you do not need a cap / hat if you are walking on a sunny day. There is a jogging / walking path around the park, which many people were using. People do bring in their dogs also for walks / training in this park. Outside the paved walkway, you need to be careful as not everyone picks up after their pets. I saw most of the dog owners cleaning up after their pets but did find some waste in the grass, out side the paved areas. Although Google says that the parks opens at 0800 Hrs, I found the place left open at 0700 Hrs. Looks like it is left open 24 hours, but I cannot say for sure. But I have been walking in this park from 0700 Hrs. There is a BBQ area within the park. Not sure about the rules of using these BBQ areas. This park also has basket ball courts.

Parque Urbano is a modern, spacious urban park in Santa Cruz, offering a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. With expansive green areas, well-maintained walking paths, and recreational facilities, it’s ideal for outdoor activities such as jogging, cycling, and picnicking. The park also features playgrounds for children, sports courts, and tranquil spots for relaxation. A large artificial lake adds to the park's appeal, attracting visitors for boat rides or peaceful strolls along its shores. With its diverse amenities and lush surroundings, Parque Urbano serves as a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike.

Catedral Metropolitana Basílica Menor de San Lorenzo de Santa Cruz, also known as Catedral de Santa Cruz, is a 19th-century Catholic place of worship with a brick exterior and vibrant interior. The cathedral houses the Museo de Arte Sacro, which displays ancient gold and silver relics along with one of the world's smallest books containing the Lord's Prayer in multiple languages.
It's very difficult to describe the feeling when you walk into this cathedral. You can definitely feel the spiritual weight. I highly recommend checking out this cathedral and being at peace.

A stunning cathedral, positioned in the centre of the city centre. Standing in front of the main pity plaza. It's definitely worth visiting.
Eldar — Google review
Beautiful cathedral filled with history, I was there at night and the plaza its very safe to walk around. There were some people asking for money but they were very polite and would walk away.
Christian L — Google review
It’s very original architecture example of the country and Santa Cruz dela Sierra and located in the 24 de septiembre square. It’s huge and sophisticated. You can make a return around at the right side of the building at the night to many small hand crafted sellers around and in the small square some street art or dance that you can see.
I ( — Google review
You can climb the bell tower too. This beautiful church added to the magic that was sitting in that plaza almost every night.
Tim J — Google review
Beautiful old brick church. To go up in the clock tower it's 3 Bolivianos, well worth it, and hundreds of steps in a spiral staircase. The views are wonderful. Be careful if going to the top where the bells ring on the hour, very loud! There are two other floors to stop and take pictures from. The church itself doesn't have gold inside and has cobwebs on the wooden vaulted ceiling, but nice anyway.

Restaurant
Lorca Café, Bar y Teatro in Santa Cruz, Bolivia has undergone a remarkable transformation under new ownership. The upstairs bar offers an impressive selection of drinks made from Bolivian native fruits, creating a unique and delightful experience. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a New York bar, with excellent service to match. While the WiFi may be unreliable, the location is ideal for business meetings or casual visits for daily coffee and cunape.
One of the best bars ive been to in South America. Went for a business meeting and was really suprised, i had been to Lorca in the past and it was just an average bar, but now with the new owners its been entirely transformed. What impressed me the most was the upstairs bar and their drinks using entirely Bolivan native fruits, AMAZING !!! The service was amazing and i felt honestly like i was in a New York bar rather than Santa Cruz Bolivia. Super suprised and 100 percent i will be back and highly recommend any one who comes to Santa Cruz Bolivia to do the same.

Good food, nothing new but no desapointments. Decent wine and jazz music and really nice atmosphere, just a bit expansive...

Good food, I went there often to get my daily coffee and cuñape. The WiFi doesn’t work well but it’s a great location, definitely recommend it.

Really nice coffee shop in the middle of downtown. It is place right above of cafe 24. Cafe lorca is typically where actors and media people gather together at night. They also typically have bands and singers singing. It is also a nice place if you wanna meet with your friends or family.
Erich H — Google review
Well. I ordered a hamburguesa and a glass of Red wine but they didn't have either one so I had beef with roquefort sauce and white wine. The meal was very good actually but more expensive than the hamburguesa. I won't mention that the cloth seat of my chair ripped all the way across and I kind of almost fell through. Stuff happens. I have been to Lorca before and I'm sure I will return because its a nice place. But they get a mixed review this time around.
Wudang M — Google review
Crazy expensive for what you get, beside the fact that they have half of the items displayed on the menu. On top of that, they charge you 30 extra bolivianos for "service" without even advising you beforehand. 👎🏽

Restaurant
ACAI BAR Superfood - Suc. Centro is a popular restaurant in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, known for its delicious brunch and famous acai bowl. It offers a variety of options including sandwiches, appetizers, bowls, and waffles. The ambiance is described as relaxed and cozy, making it a great spot to enjoy quality food at reasonable prices. Some visitors appreciate the pet-friendly policy while others suggest using eco-friendly cutlery.
Amazing experience, absolutely delicious!! I just didn’t understand why we got plastic cutlery, which is not only bad for the environment, but also not easy to eat the panini with
Caroline H — Google review
I had the classic acai bowl. The acai itself was just ok, and the powdered milk did not taste good at all.
Heather S — Google review
I can not recommend this place. It's a big health risk. They don't use clean utensils, they touch everything else like money with gloves and they wipe the cutting board with a dirty smelly rag, which makes it even dirtier. I also doubt that the fruit and vegetables are disinfected and the papaya was moldy. In the US they would have closed the store after an hour. They should take a course in food hygiene because the store looks nice from the outside but it's very unhygienic inside. Basically, they do exactly everything the FDA would prohibit.
M. W — Google review
My açaí bowl was delicious very then I’ve had In the states . Yum
Liz G — Google review
They didn't have the Mango bowl they said and the Greek yogurt bowl had only a spoon of yoghurt on top of an incredible amount of very sweet ice cream. Oh, and some fruits were also there
Philip K — Google review
3* for the food, which is more of an ice cream than a healthy Açai bowl. Still most of the fruits are fresh and it tasted very good. (-) They serve a plastic spoon with every bowl, although they have others. (-) No toilet available for guests
Sarah — Google review
Terrible terrible terrible. One guy at the counter. The line did not move for 20 minutes. And six employees sitting around doing absolutely nothing. We left. Not coming back. Superwait they should call this place

Brought the wrong food and discussed about the order - could be more friendly. But it’s a good place to get good açaí! It would be nice to get a smaller portion because the smallest one is already quite big.

Great food. Great relaxed atmosphere. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare as asked. High quality. And the mashed potatoes and seasonings they put on were excellent and flavorful. I look forward to eating here again.

(Translated by Google) The atmosphere is small and what I didn't like was that the chairs are a little high like stools and for people who are small it is a little uncomfortable either to get up or down, the tables are also small The food is expensive for the size of the portions, whether individual dishes or to share among several like snacks. The cocktails and drinks are lacking because in some cases they were very strong where there is no balance and in others they were very sweet The attention was very good from the waiters. When paying, they will charge you 10% of the total to be paid for the service.

Santa Cruz de la Sierra Botanical Garden, located 12km east of the city center, offers a peaceful retreat from urban life. Spanning over 200 hectares, it features woodland trails, a lake, and a cactarium showcasing exotic plants. Visitors can climb a wooden viewing platform for panoramic views of the treetop canopy and city skyline. The garden is home to diverse wildlife including tortoises and sloths.
It is a priceless experience where you can enjoy nature with your beloved ones. Children love to see and enjoy the beauty of wild and protected animals in wide and clean areas.

What is this? That's the worst botanical garden I have ever seen - and I have been to several ones... Even 1 star is too much. And for this 30 bs? Really?
Pe T — Google review
Beautiful Place with a vide variety of plants and wildlife in general. It is really worth it to take a long stroll in there since there is just so much wildlife to discover once you just start looking around you. I hope that they will be able to better their upkeep but taking the huge space in mind they are doing ok.

It's a nice place to walk around. The from off the park is quite pretty. The mosquitoes are very hungry. They get really bad the further back into the park you walk. The large open roads have fewer mosquitoes. The paths that are further back can get very muddy as they are not paved. Several items/ areas are off-limits for repair. The whole place could be gorgeous if more attention/ work was given. Overall we saw a cayman, a Tegu lizard, and a few birds.
Marta H — Google review
I went on a Monday when they were supposed to be closed but they were open and there were other people there also, but not many. This is a great place to explore the local flora and fauna. I saw monkeys, turtles, even alligators! I also saw some big lizards but they like to hide from people and are difficult to see. I enjoyed a few hours here exploring the trails. It was hot and sunny and so I didn't need bug repellant, but I did need a LOT of sunblock, so if you go on a hot sunny day, ditch the repellent and slather on the sunblock. Unfortunately, a huge part of the park is closed due to "maintenance" and you're not permitted to enter, though there's also nothing to stop you. I erred on the side of caution however and didn't venture past the posted sign (see photos). There's a tall lookout tower you can climb that offers some views of the surrounding area. There are also some activities for kids. Overall, it was a nice place to pass a few hours. It's quite far from the center of Santa Cruz - $6 - $7 by Uber each way. Entry was $10Bs. I wish the rest of the park was open, but I'm happy I went. I think it's worth checking out if you have some time to spend in Santa Cruz.
Robert B — Google review
A botanical garden of a different kind. A bit wild but original. Make sure to bring insect repellent even in dry season. Entrance is 10 BOB, kids are for free. Uber is a good choice to get there. No wifi for the way back... Recommended.

5 star because -price is only 10 bs -many buses that bring you directly front door 2 bs each eay -mini zoo( lovely birds, turtles, crocodiles, etc...) -Garden is so so but you can get a private guide from personal for free or tip) -map of the place disadvantage: those damn musquitos destroyed me & no food but you can pay 20 bs and use their bbq facilities
Antoine A — Google review
El Jardín Botánico de Santa Cruz, is a big lovely and very cheap place to go for a whole day with your family and friends. Specially if you like plants. Entry was only £1 pp. you can also take your food and drinks there as they don’t have a restaurant working at the moment. There was a bendy machine thou. You can ask for the bbq area and take tents ⛺️ and do camping. Be aware of the mosquitos 🦟 🌱

Manzana Uno Espacio de Arte is a hidden gem near Plaza 24 de Septiembre in Santa Cruz. The outdoor plaza features intriguing exhibits, while inside, various rooms showcase different artists' works. One exhibit vividly portrays the salt flats of Uyuni and its surrounding industry.
The museum is located right off the September 24 plaza. It's free and there are art pieces both inside and outside. Although it isn't large it's a great way to see local Bolivian art.

Manzana Uno Espacio de Arte is a vibrant cultural hub in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, dedicated to contemporary art and creativity. Its dynamic programming focuses on promoting visual arts, theater, and multimedia works, creating an inclusive atmosphere for artistic expression. Visitors can enjoy the thought-provoking exhibits and explore the innovative work of emerging talents. Manzana Uno is a must-visit for art enthusiasts and those seeking to experience Santa Cruz’s thriving cultural scene.
Pramod D — Google review
This was a great little find near the Plaza 24 de Septiembre. An outdoor plaza with exhibits welcomes you as you approach. If you go inside there are other exhibit rooms available showcasing different artists works. Most exhibits we're closed when I went but one remained open in what looked like the main hall. The works of art and sculpture were amazing. I had just been to the salt flats of Uyuni and in the plaza was a full exhibit portraying the salt flats and the industry surrounding it. Sadly the lithium supply is one of the largest in the world and it seems mining it may take over the preservation of the salt flats. Get to it if it's on your bucket list before it's too late...

The outside park is lovely with trees, sculptures and murals, with places to sit. Be Coffee across the street is a lovely place as well. The Manzana Uno art gallery has odd hours, some like 8am to noon and 4pm to 8pm but it's free and enjoyable, a few rooms of paintings on the walls.

With exceptional service, delectable cuisine, and reasonable prices, it's the perfect spot for a romantic date or simply satisfying your cravings while strolling by.
Wow, we had a lunch special here today. 3 course meals for 38 bs, great food with great price. The manager, she can also speak English. Clean, air conditioning dinner room. Well come back. Muchas gracias

Nice ambiance. Good drinks and prices are fair. It's right in the center of the city next to a nice park. Can sit on the balcony and have a nice view. Enjoyed the music as well. I didn't try any food but it looked good. However the service is a bit slow though. It took a while before we could place our order.
Bami N — Google review
A hideout built of wood and smoke, where meat sizzles and '90s rock sets the pace. Right in the heart of Santa Cruz, this rustic bar keeps it real: honest grill, no-nonsense snacks, and drinks that speak for themselves. Climb to the second floor and time slows down. Old books, relics, and a silent colonial armor keep watch. From the balcony, the square pulses below as you raise your glass above. It’s a spot for men who know what they want: perfectly grilled meat, cold beer, solid conversation, and a soundtrack that doesn’t need an introduction.
Rodrigo R — Google review
This is a really nice pub located on the main plaza in Santa Cruz. Highly recommended. Great service. Delicious food. Good value. Super clean. Friendly and generous owner. Thanks for the experience!
Noel M — Google review
This so-called Irish pub didn’t even have Guinness — not a single draft beer in sight. What kind of “Irish” bar runs dry on the basics? The bottled beer they did serve tasted nothing like it should — flat, flavorless, and a total joke. If you’re expecting any kind of authentic pub experience, save yourself the time and go literally anywhere else.
Hartmann S — Google review
Food is good. Large portions for a relative good price. On the downside the service was bad, the waiter wasn't attentive to our table and the non-smoking area smells like a smoking one because the sliding door to the balcony (smoking area) is always open.

Jardín de Asia is a unique and trendy restaurant located in Equipetrol. The atmosphere is luxurious and the interior is very cool, making it a great place to see and be seen. The menu offers a delicious fusion of food with options like ceviche and sushi. The staff provides attentive and friendly service, creating a first-class dining experience. While the pricing may be considered slightly high, the quality of the food justifies it.

Heinrich F — Google review
Certainly one of the most beautiful restaurants in Santa Cruz, however the food is a bit disappointing - especially for the price you pay. For two people you spend almost 100 dollars and you get regular sushi with a lot of seasonings and sauces that do not go well together. The dessert was overcooked.

Definitely on the boundary of creative and just weird, and few eaters are as adventurous or experienced as I (lived in China for 10 years and have eaten boiled whole pigs eyeballs as well as the worms that live in pigs intestines, certainly not kosher). The menu was difficult to read but that did not matter because our server brought us random items we did not order. They offered to take them back but we were hungry and also it didn’t seem like it mattered because all of the dishes are so weird/creative and we are not picky eaters. Was the food good? Honestly, it is a difficult question to answer. I ate it and feel fine. Would I go back? Probably not but do not regret going. Was it good value? No. The highlight was the peach juice. Bad cocktails. I had the aji sour. The salmon was a nice piece of fish well cooked but then smothered in some strange cheesy mushroom concoction (yes, sauce would not be the word). The Amazonico maki was like eating balls of cream cheese. The Rocoto maki was neither ordered nor enjoyed with its sweet and sour sauce overwhelming any flavor of fish that might have been there. The best was definitely the crab meat maki, which I did enjoy. The servers were very kind. I recommend you save your money and visit the wonderful Nikkei places in Lima.

Restaurant
Los Hierros is a popular churrasqueria known for its special occasion ambiance and peaceful new location. The restaurant offers a nice atmosphere with a cool entryway of charcoal, and guests can watch the grill master at work through the glass. While some find it pricey, many praise the quality of the meat and consider it one of the best in town. The steak portions are generous, making it suitable for sharing or even feeding an entire family.
Great place. Quality one of the best. Price vs. Quality is excellent.
Alex T — Google review
The grill could be improved, a lot! Anyway, I was there for lunch time and, as mentioned before, the grill can be a lot better. The service was good, the salad was a little short, not a great variety of salads. The ambiance was really nice. I think that this is not one of my choices to have meat. But might be good to get together with your friends, maybe have a little table (picaditos)to share and have a beer. I’ll live that to you. Maybe you’ll let me know.
Davor M — Google review
Great meat. Little pricey. The service some times not so good for the price.

Good steakhouse restaurant! We order a steak for 2 and we could have fed the entire family with it, was way bigger than expected !

Great place to eat meat, steaks particularly. Good service too.

Our "go to" churrasqueria for special occasions. Love the new, PEACEFUL location. Very nice atmosphere overall and a cool entryway of charcoal. We always ask to have David as our waiter. You can watch the grill master at work through the glass.
Jenny S — Google review
Comfortable. Good menu option of beef. Service is average and should improve to be at the level of the many upscale restaurants in Santa Cruz.
Ken S — Google review
If I need to describe it in one word it would definately be .... LAME!!!! Very elementary cuisine/style/taste. Comparing to similar restaurant it seems more edgy, but I'm totally disappointed

Food court
Con Tenedores Norte is a fantastic dining destination that offers a diverse range of culinary options. With numerous food stands and an extensive selection of dishes and beverages, it promises a delightful experience for groups. The seating arrangements are spacious, with an open-air atmosphere and a high ceiling that ensures excellent air circulation. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy their favorite games on the large television screen while indulging in delicious food.
Food is typical fried fast greasy foods but with good flavors. Drinks are abundant. Live music was excellent (some salsa band called Achere or something was phenomenal).

This place was awesome. It had a wide variety of food stands and a decent live band.

A fun experience for the group, a large place with a lot of variety in foods and drinks. All seats are in the open with a high roof where air circulation is as good as being outside. A large TV entertains those sports lovers and when the live music starts, is when the fun becomes unique.

Day 4

Off the beaten path
For day 4, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like La Rinconada Ecoparque y Restaurante. Not quite as popular as Lomas de Arena Regional Park, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Ecological park
Biocentro Guembe Mariposario is a popular attraction in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, offering a paradise for nature enthusiasts. The main draw is its breathtaking butterfly sanctuary, where visitors can witness various species up close. Additionally, the park features opportunities to observe parrots without barriers and offers encounters with butterflies, turtles, monkeys, and orchids within a relatively compact area.
I read other reviews that it was dirty, slow service in the restaurant, and complaints no one spoke English. BUT I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived- it was Awesome! We paid less than 170bo for adults and kids were less. Senior discount too. Any aviary I have been to elsewhere has been more expensive for such a HUGE enclosed bird cage. Really, quite impressive. There was an English speaking guide we met within 3 minutes of entering and they offer tours every other hour (in English). You can climb high up in the aviary and it’s the closest I’ve been to Toucans despite visiting many Zoos elsewhere including Brazil. The birds are beautiful and don’t get too scared when you’re nearby. I didn’t go swimming, but the pools also looked pretty clean - not cloudy like in some other pictures I saw online. The restaurant was about $12 USd for a full buffet with churrasco grilled meats, salad bar and soup bar. A jug of juice was less than USD$3. Beers 22bo. The service was great and I felt like it was cheaper than other places I’ve eaten outside of a tourist spot. Honestly, reading some other reviews - I wonder if these people have any idea what other countries are like and how to travel decently without speaking a local language - there were signs in English/Spanish all over.
Aaron R — Google review
A fun stop for the day. The aviary has quite a few macaws and a pair of toucans. The mariposa was teeming with butterflies. Quite a few different pools that the kids had a blast in. Food available, not great but reasonably priced. The pacu schools in the pond were mesmerizing to watch.
Josh R — Google review
Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and it was relaxing! The staff was very friendly and accommodating! 5 stars!
Andre W — Google review
Beautiful! I wish it was warm enough to swim but I loved the kitties and the Macaws.

Definitly not worth the 200BOB per person. The adventure park scores literaly below zero. We saw that the entrance price was 180BOB per person. However, for 20BOB extra you could also do the adventure park (what a steal!). We bought it and asked what it entailed, no one spoke English so we just went with it. They pointed us to the reception where also no one spoke English. After walking for a bit we found the adventure park and were excited to join. I think they shouldn't let foreigners join who don't speak Spanish (US!). Because they weren't able to do the safety instructions in English. The adventure park (for as far as we could figure out) was one of those tree climbing things. I've done those all over Europe. And let me be clear: this one was made for skinny Peruvian kids. Not big and tall European adults like us. We got the safety instructions and my partner's things where you clip your safety cable with didn't close properly. They said it wasn't a problem (it was). And only because we were adamant about him having a different harnas they let him exchange it and put on a new one. The start is a 'rock climbing wall' where the wall clips almost fall off of. The rest of the way is just not secured properly. Not for tall (173 cm and 184 cm) people nor for people in weight categories ( 78+ kg ). Half way I saw a ladder and told them I wanted to get off. I couldn't tell them why because again, no Spanish (more my problem than theirs) but we ended safely back on the ground. The rest of the park is... A bit dirty. Maybe we came in low season (there were like 20 visitors). But it looked like it needed a lot of maintenance. The butterfly enclosure, bird enclosure and monkey enclosure were nice. When we left after 2 hours I saw on the sign that there was a half day (later part of the day) option for 80BOB if I read it correctly. I think that might be somewhat worth it if you'd like to do something for about 2 hours.
Simone — Google review
The park has the opportunity to see amazing types of parrots up close and not on the other side of a cage. It also had a nice area to see butterflies, turtles, monkeys and orchids. It is not a large area and you only need about 2 hours to see the animals here. (Of course there are several pools and a buffet if you pay extra for it.) The animals are beautiful but the park is showing signs of age.
Ian A — Google review
Was here with a group for a special assembly and was really amazed by the wildlife here. The people who work here provide excellent service , and the food prepared was delicious. The activities that are offered are really good as well, everyone can enjoy from older to the youngest guests .. Would definitely recommend coming here.
Alvaro C — Google review
Quiet expensive place but worthwhile especially when they run promos like 2 for 1. The place deteriorated a little but that is excusable since they had a rough financial year. Otherwise the nature and animals you are able to see on eye level is just stunning. And a visit is recommended for all ages.

Ecological park
La Rinconada Ecoparque y Restaurante is a beautifully landscaped outdoor area that offers a unique combination of eco-awareness and family fun. The park features lagoons, cascades, and giant water lilies, creating a picturesque setting for visitors to explore. With interactive elements such as a low-impact zipline, swimming pool, and "rainforest" area, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
One of the best parks I have ever visited. The park is divided into two parts, on the left side, we can find a beautiful pool along with the waterfall. 90% of the park is full of lush green trees around the centrally located lake. There is a big restaurant inside the park to eat. You can take a walk and play some games (free) inside, or just sit near the lake to relax
Rajendra K — Google review
Just beautiful! There are amazing water lilies as well as water features and a small rainforest. The restaurant has ample seating. You're definitely gonna want bug repellant and sunscreen. It's a reasonable Uber ride from the city and I highly recommend checking it out.

A wonderful artificial park! With incredible tropical plants and a pond of gorgeous water lilies, including the queen of all water lilies, Victoria Boliviana. You can enjoy a walk in the teny alleys, and swim in the pool, and have lunch at the local restaurant.

Nice place to spend an afternoon. I commited 2 mistakes which you shouldn't. -I went on a Sunday(initially I wanted Monday but it is closed then). Why? You might ask. Well, first it is utterly crowded and secons that's the last day before draining the water. So imagine the rest. - I ordered food from their restaurant After spending 120 bolivars on a soup and a tasteless paiche fillet with some boiled vegetables the only thing I wanted is to get to a **** hypermarket and get 2 6 bolivar HotDogs..... 😂 But let's not be that negative and say some positive things too. -nice plants, you can see some birds and insects too.

Casa del Camba Urubó is a fantastic destination for families looking to enjoy a day filled with fun and delicious food. Kids can explore the expansive play area, complete with climbers, slides, and engaging activities like sack races and ice cream treats. Meanwhile, adults can savor an impressive salad buffet alongside mouthwatering grilled meats.
It is a beautiful restaurant! The waiters are wearing a typical costume from the region: white clothes and a hat made of a palm tree called "Palmera de Sao". The surroundings are beautiful and full of vegetation. Besides, the food is delicious!

Fun location for big hungry families! The kids played in the extensive climbers and slides, chased the clown and tried sack races and icecream while the adults took their time enjoying the extensive salad buffet and grilled meats. One of the best days in a long time!

The restaurant is located in a hill area where you can enjoy a good view of the Urubó. Food was okay but not really tasty. Before leaving the restaurant, it started to rain and we noticed leaks on the roof. The staff helped us not to get wet.

Restaurant
Sach'a Huaska in Santa Cruz offers a delightful dining experience with delicious food and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The attentive staff provides impeccable service, ensuring that every need is met. The restaurant features beautiful decor and nice music, although it can be a bit loud at times. Guests can enjoy unique dishes like paiche and Bolivian Cacao from Baures, as well as delectable ceviches and lomo saltado.
This peruvian restaurant is one the best restaurants in Santacruz. My wife ordered planchita de mar and it was great. Can’t go qrong with this place!
ENRIQUE U — Google review
Good and tasty food, nice selection and high quality of ingredients. In my opinion, however, not overly good compared to some other restaurants - so the current 4.5 google rating and no higher is appropriate in my eyes. Service was a bit diffuse and could be better.
Helen — Google review
The most delicious food we ate in Santa Cruz! It was truly good and worth the special moment we were celebrating. It was memorable! The service was good, but not excellent. The birthday girl, who loves wine, asked to try a zip before ordering a glass and the request was denied. However, there was one waiter girl who was kind and showed my impatient toddler and I the zingani preparations they do and showcase on a cool wall. It has beautiful decor and nice music, though a little loud. Overall, I really recommend this place! ⭐
Christel S — Google review
Great option for food and drink but a bit over price. More like for local with a thick pocket or for special event. Service is very attentive. Delicious pisco sour.
Ea M — Google review
We had a party of seven. We all tried something different. The food was amazing. The service was amazing. We were visiting from the USA and this was a delightful experience. The wine tasting was free but we decided to buy a bottle. We are here on vacation and will go again. It is very hard finding good food in Santa Cruz.

The 50 best award is well deserved.. The sushi has been the best I tried in Santa Cruz, the appetizers are generous and delicious, and the place has a beautiful decoration and ambience. Patio Design is always a great choice
Esteban B — Google review
The restaurant deco and location are great as it is modern rustic and near the lush area of the city of Santa Cruz. I came to try the famous Peruvian pisco but left disappointed. The drink barely had any pisco and all I tasted was the passion fruit juice. The waiter’s service is Santa Cruz is not all that great but I was hoping this place was a little different. The service was slow, it took a while to get my order and also to get the food, I had questions about the ingredients -the names of the fish and other items in the menu were foreign to me-the waiter did not know the answer so another one had to come. There were no recommendations given so we had to pick and choose whatever was in the menu. The dinning experience was two stars for the evening. I will come back during the day and hopefully get a more positive experience with the food and service.

Not bad, overall. The fish was overcooked. The Sushi rolls (maki) were very good. And the chocolate mousse was amazing.
