(Translated by Google) Beautiful and unique, with its tall, distinctive rock formations that give the impression of a castle, it's easily accessible from the town of Malargüe—about 20 km of gravel road, passing a few small water crossings. It offers a spectacular setting with the mountain's snow-capped peaks. Highly recommended, it has a picnic and camping area, and a restaurant in winter. Vairoletto cafe & resto offers generous portions of delicious food and provides good service, although the building may require some refurbishment. While there were instances of forgotten orders and longer wait times, the quality of the food remained consistently excellent. Overall, it's a great place to enjoy some awesome meals.
The food is excellent, the size of the meal is huge, the service is good, but the building needs a renovation. The second time, the food kept great, but they did forget my order, and I needed to wait about 50 minutes.

I was travelling from San Martin de los Andes to Bariloche and was in Malargue for 1 day. Wanted to have something good to eat and something healthy so I had the goat lasagna and Cesar salad. Restaurant was nearly empty and I still had to wait considerable time before my food was served. Cedar salad was perfect and the goat lasagna with pesto was good but I think I will order it next time with some sauce (ie bolognese)
Jeroen B — Google review
Horrible experience. To be avoided. I was overcharged (3000 (!) pesos for a bottle of wine which they had quoted 1250 verbally), and when I pointed it out they were very unfriendly, and never apologized, nor corrected. (The owner even said that if I didn't pay, the - new - waitress would have to pay)?!?¡

(Translated by Google) I ordered a churrasco, and they gave me a Milanese steak without breadcrumbs... The only good thing about it were the fries; the rest, honestly, is not recommended. We had salad and provoleta (not recommended), and the burger was minimal, not enough for a child. The price/quality ratio of the food is terrible... A shame. There aren't many places to eat on the go in the area, at least at lunchtime. The guide at the Planetario Malargüe provided an excellent explanation, delivering intriguing and easily understandable information. The projection was captivating, and the installation where they showcased the film was beautiful. However, a drawback was that all seats were occupied without any social distancing measures in place. To address this issue, it would be beneficial to offer more time slots with fewer people in attendance.

One is at 3 p.m. and the other at 5 p.m. What you can access at other times is the 360 experience in the dome, which I recommend but (in our opinion) not for small children. They can understand the images but not the technical vocabulary. My children of 7 and 10 were bored. The place is extremely clean, well organized, the staff is very friendly. Bonafide Express Malargüe in Malargüe offers a diverse menu with four available dishes and drinks. The fast service, pleasant environment, and fantastic coffee make it a great choice for visitors.
we have been there several times and what I like most is that they are open and available whenever you arrive in need of a good coffee, the quality of coffee is good, prices are fine and the pastries I tried were fresh from the day, what is a bit annoying is the fact that in Arg often drinks come with the rest, so you wait quite a while for your drinks

The Pierre Auger Observatory is a remarkable facility that sets itself apart from other observatories. It offers a unique and immersive experience, characterized by excellent organization and educational value throughout. The diligent and passionate tourist guides deserve commendation for their dedication. However, it is worth noting that the absence of a UK flag outside the building may be an oversight, considering the observatory's international contributors. Additionally, there seems to be a lack of responsiveness to reviews over the past three years.

The lack of a UK flag is extremely disappointing, considering the contribution from Alan Watson, and the team from the University of Leeds, who designed and installed the communications system that gathers the data from the surface detectors and sends it back to the campus.

Nestled in the charming town of Malargue, Argentina, El Nido del Jabalí is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Renowned for its mouthwatering parrillada and a vibrant buffet of fresh salads, this restaurant has garnered praise for its exceptional food quality and attentive service. Guests are welcomed into a warm atmosphere where they can savor an impressive selection of wines to complement their meals.
(Translated by Google) I loved. The attention of the waiters is excellent. Super delicious food. They serve you barbecue: first chorizo, blood sausage and ribs. Then empty and finally goat. It costs 1200 per person. They have an island with fresh and varied salads that you can serve yourself as many times as you want. Apart from that are the dessert and the drink. It's not cheap but the quality of the meat, the attention and the place are well worth it. I suggest booking because it fills up quickly, especially during the holiday season. Those who do not want a grill can also order other elaborate dishes (loin, pasta, trout). I recommend it 100 percent. (Original) Me encantó.

Chori, morci, chinchu, asado, cima, vacio, homemade bread, and chivito, and you can also order anything you want. Drinks and dessert are not included. The negative reviews I saw were from more than three years ago. Today's price is 30,000 pesos for adults, 20,000 pesos for children. My 4-year-old daughter didn't pay. Bebida y postre a parte.

Day 3

South side of town
For day 3, we recommend exploring the south side side of town. Start the day off with Volcán Malacara, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Provincial Reserve La Payunia. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

What a treasure. It’s a perfect place for families, even little children, if they can be carried an a pouch. Nothing too demanding but views are spectacular plus a unique opportunity to walk inside a volcano crater. Be prepared for a drive on a gravel road for about an hour before you reach the volcano. It’s all worth it.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW IN ADVANCE: 1. You need to book with a guide in advance. You can do this in the center of town in Malargüe. 2. Tours are only a few times a day. (We arrived at 12:00 and the next tour was not until 15:00). 3. Pants are required. They will not let you in without them. Overall, nice experience. Our guide was great. Our tour was in Spanish so I do not know if they also have guides who spoke English. Tour was about 2.5/3 hours. Minimum fitness required. (There was old and young children in our group and everyone was fine!)

(Translated by Google) I highly recommend this excursion. It's accompanied by a guide, whom you'll meet at the food stand near the start of the excursion. To get there, you can take a gravel road in your own vehicle. We were fortunate that the machine had just passed, so the road wasn't as pockmarked as we'd read in some reviews. There was also another road off the main road that was in better condition. Exploring the volcano's gullies was a beautiful experience. You can do it with children; we did it with a 6-year-old. The hike lasts approximately two hours or more, with brief stops while the guide tells you about the volcano. You reserve your tickets via WhatsApp, pick them up at the center's office, and pay the rest in cash when you arrive at the meeting point with the guide.

This place might be nice with good tour company, but this is the warning: If you don't speak Spanish, DON'T go with Choique Travel Alternativo!!! They might offer you some English information papers, but the quality is so bad, that please, save your money or choose another company. Me and my boyfriend were totally misleaded when booking the tour, as it sounded like the papers would have pretty much the same information that the guide is talking, and that it's not the problem we don't speak Spanish. We spent four hours without any information, then got some papers that did not have information (at all!) of all the places where we stopped, and the rest of the stops were in wrong order. It was just very carelessly copied scientific text that was impossible to understand. The guide did nothing to help. He did not even give the papers before I had asked them twice! Basically we were sitting in a bus for over 12 hours and didn't have a clue what we should be looking at and why. After two weeks of e-mails, visits to the office, etc, we finally got the answer from the owner: no refund of the money, not even partly. They think we have got what we paid for and that they made us a favor by giving those papers. Clearly they don't care about the quality of the tour they offer. I have travelled a lot in a low budget. This was a very expensive tour, and this is the first time I have ever had to complain! Unbelievably poor customer service.
