Once at the top, the 360-degree views are simply spectacular. On one side, you have the calm waters of Pittwater, and on the other, the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. It’s the kind of view that makes you pause and appreciate the moment. We visited on a clear day and could see for miles in every direction. The lighthouse itself is beautifully preserved and adds a historic charm to the entire experience. We were lucky enough to catch a guided tour and learned a lot about its history and the keepers who once lived there. Wildlife was abundant — we spotted several native birds and even a whale breaching in the distance! It felt like a true escape from the city, despite being only about an hour’s drive from Sydney. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Barrenjoey Lighthouse offers the perfect mix of nature, history, and incredible photo opportunities. Bring water, wear good walking shoes, and don’t forget your camera. We’ll definitely be back!

Barrenjoey Lighthouse at Palm Beach is one of the most beautiful coastal lookouts in New South Wales. The walk to the lighthouse takes about 30–40 minutes and there are two paths: a steep track and a gentler slope. The climb is totally worth it because the view from the top is incredible—you can see both sides of the ocean and the famous Palm Beach peninsula stretching out below. The lighthouse itself has a classic sandstone design and gives a peaceful, historic atmosphere. Around the lookout, there are information boards about whales, and during migration season you might spot humpback or southern right whales. However, whale-watching can take a long time, so I highly recommend bringing some snacks, water and even a picnic mat to relax while waiting. What I love most about this place is the sense of space and nature. The sea breeze, the open horizon and the dramatic coastline make it feel like a perfect escape from the city. I have visited many lookouts in Sydney, but this is definitely one of the best. If you enjoy scenic walks, photography, picnics or whale watching, Barrenjoey Lighthouse is a must-visit. Just take your time, enjoy the view and don’t forget sunscreen!

Visited Palm Beach in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, and it felt like a mini getaway without leaving the city. The view from Barrenjoey Lighthouse was breathtaking — sweeping ocean on one side and calm Pittwater on the other. The beach itself was clean and peaceful, with clear blue water and golden sand. There are nice cafés nearby for brunch or coffee after a walk. It’s the perfect place to escape the city rush, recharge, and take in some of the most stunning coastal scenery in New South Wales. Definitely one of my favorite spots around Sydney.

It is a steep walk up and on the way up I took the easier path, on the way down the steeper one - this worked well as the views are better over Palm Beach on the way down on the steeper path. However! Both paths are grade 3 so do your research people, its a bit steep. Truly worth it, maybe avoid the heat of the day. You will feel filled with dopamine good vibes that you achieved this simple walk 🤣 its glorious.

It was a marvellous experience. Brisk walk so don’t go if you’re injured or frail. Wonderful views, we saw dolphins in the bay from up there. Be sure to walk down slowly to listen to the ocean echo against the rock while walking down.

Legendary view of beaches side by side, 2 ways to the lighthouse taking around 25mins from beach entrance. Be aware all parking are ticketed at $8/hour 7am-7pm.

It's a beautiful view from the top of the hill. However the lighthouse is closed for major restoration. You can find two paths to get to the top of the hill: One is a stairway path and the other one is a plain path. I did the stairs when I walked to the top and the other one to go back. The first one is very demanding and tricky so be prepared and careful when you decide to go. The sunsets are stunning!!

The Dunes was a truly wonderful discovery. We were just wandering by and thought we’d check it out (somewhat reassured by the high rating on Google.. something we were delighted to find was well deserved). The food is outstanding.. and the service is even better! (With a special shout out to Mason). I can highly recommend the Kingfish Sashimi, which was as good as any I have ever had.. and the Fish and Chips was also a show stopper! I cannot recommend the Dunes highly enough if you are looking for a place to eat in Palm Beach/the Northern Beaches

Absolutely phenomenal. Flawless. Food was incredible, service was just as good too. Not cheap but worth every cent. Even the fries were all hand cut and without a doubt the best fries I'd ever had. Oyster tasting plate is a must as well. Kids meals were just as good too. Will definitely be back again!

We had lunch here for my birthday and everything from the food to the service was excellent and made the day really special! The oysters were a knock out but we loved everything. Make sure you get yourself a margarita while you're there. They were great too! We're already looking forward to the next occasion and coming back here!

Dunes completely exceeded my expectations! The food was absolutely amazing , every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The service was immaculate, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or attentive. The whole experience was just perfect from start to finish. I’ll definitely be going back again… and again… and again! 👏✨

We recently had our wedding reception at Dunes Palm Beach, it is was honestly everything we had hoped for. Steffi, Tilly and the service team were all so helpful, thorough and super efficient with communicating and planning (including my many last minute changes). They made the process so seamless for us and the vendors. There food + drinks were 10/10 and very filling. They have also made the atmosphere so romantic, warm yet fun. I recently had the pleasure of photographing Mia & Riley’s wedding at Dunes and honestly, what a place!! If you’re looking for laid back, coastal vibes that are elevated, this is the venue for you. The team were so attentive and it was so fun to be able to get portraits around the venue but also down on the beach. Decided to go for a drive to Palm Beach and originally wanted to have brunch at Dunes. Unfortunately it was packed so we decided to have a light lunch at Dunes kiosk. Service was great and attentive and kiosk was nice and clean. Got the fish and chips and the grilled chicken burger. The fish was nice and flakey and the batter on the fish was nice and crispy, however it had a weird aftertaste to it (like an old oil kinda taste), however I know that it wasnt… just a weird taste. The chicken burger was nice enough and did the job. Chips were fantasic, scenery was nice and outdoor seating was plentiful. Heaps of paid parking right infront, and yes, I saw parking inspectors so you definitely have to pay. Was down the road from Barrenjoey lighthouse.

We had a great time at Governor Philip Park in Palm Beach, Sydney. We arrived in the morning and explored the local market set up until 3 PM, which was a fun experience with some amazing finds, especially the donuts – the best we've had in a long time! Afterward, we made our way to the lighthouse to enjoy stunning views of both sides of the beach. The walk up to the lighthouse was quite steep and challenging, taking about 1.5 hours round trip, but the views at the top made it all worth it. Later, we did a BBQ in the picnic area. Although some of the hot plates were dirty and half of them weren't working initially, after cleaning, they worked well. We enjoyed cooking with a lovely view of the beach and even spotted some bunnies hopping around, which added a cute touch to the day. We finished by relaxing on the beach. Unfortunately, we couldn't catch the sunset due to cloudy weather, but with its west-facing beach, I imagine this place has some stunning sunset views on a clear day. Overall, we had a fantastic day, but parking was a bit expensive at $40 for 6 hours. Still, it’s a beautiful spot, and we’ll definitely be back!

Very spacious and lovely beach. There are 2 sides, the small and calm left side is good for children. However the water is not as clean as the right side. The right side is bigger and has more waves. Went there and had picnic. We tried all electric public barbecue but only 1 was working.

It's a beautiful picnic point. There are restroom for both Males and females and for disabled persons too. It's a good place for children to play. There are a lot of swings for children. There is special place for doing BBQ. Huge sitting place. This place has parking place too. You can do Fishing nearby this place. It's a hug entertainment place for Families, couples and gathering with friends too.

Highly recommend Palm Beach for a little getaway from Sydney! Unlike other crowded beaches, it’s so peaceful and beautiful here. The walk up to the lighthouse was tougher than I expected, but 100% worth it — the views at the top are absolutely stunning and you won’t regret it!

Lots of parking, found spots even in the afternoon of a very busy Easter Sunday. There's a food kiosk and a nice restaurant (tho' bar service was EXTREMELY slow) and there's access to the windier end of the beach where they film most of the 'Summer Bay' beach scenes of TV's Home and Away. N.B. Dogs have to be on a lead at all times and are not allowed on the beach.

Well...this place. $10 an hr for parking, well that will do me. Geezus. It ain't worth anywhere near that. Ridiculous. And the sand on the beach ?? Brown. Not white, not smooth. Nah, I don't rate the place.

Setting is nice, and you can stroll up the hill and get to the lighthouse for better view, the park also has two beach, one side has shallow and claim water which is better for kids and the side facing South Pacific Ocean has waves and it's definitely better for adults. Tho the parking is ludicrously expensive, it's $10/hr or $35/day and it's everyday between 6am-9pm. There are some amenities like BBQ areas, picnic area with shades but no change room just a rundown dirty toilet with outdoor showers.

Today was a special day as my wife and I went to Palm Beach Golf Club for her 60th birthday 🎂 🎁 celebration. We had champagne 🥂 on arrival and had the most amazing light lunch. The view from this venue is excellent and very relaxing for the start of our day. We came across on the ferry from Ettalong to Palm beach which was great jumped on bus from wharf and stopped outside the club. After brunch we head out for walk along golf course to the headland.

Terrible. Was great in the beginning but ended up being horrible due to management not offering good will. Customer service team were nice and friendly but not management. Asked if I want to renew and I said if they can’t sort out my other issue with my ticket then why would I go ahead and pay for more and myself into that situation again ?! Just absurd. They said they can extend it for 2 months but I told them my mom had surgery and had 2 emergency falls. I also paid 2 payments for 2 lots of membership annually and got as part of the deal 2 vouchers to use but just this year had alot of personal challenges was then told because they expired that they cannot be used. But I’ve never used them. Just horrible. No good will. Don’t want to go forward and renew for anymore memberships and I told them they’re legally scamming my money and I will put it on google review as feedback to warn others also also if it happened to them then they would definitely be unhappy so why would it be different? I am a Northen beaches local too and just not happy with the way the manage Nikki has run the place Renee , Jacob from customer service are amazing ! No issues there

Great lookout point with plenty of history as well. Overlooks the Hawkesbury river and Pacific and Palm Beach (the setting for Home & Away). You can venture down the army path if you fancy a bit of a challenge or look for soaring sea eagles or a Wompoo Fruit Dove in the trees. Some great plants in the gardens as well. So, something for everyone then.....

Absolutely spectacular views from West Head Lookout! A must-see spot in Sydney. The panoramic vista over Pittwater, Broken Bay, Barrenjoey Headland and Lion Island is simply breathtaking. The lookout area itself is well-maintained with clear signage and benches to sit and just soak in the serenity. It truly feels like an escape from the city hustle. Make sure you allow time to explore the nearby walks, like the short path to the lookout from the car park, or the longer trails like the Resolute Loop, which leads to secluded beaches. Remember to bring $12 cash or card for the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park entry fee. Go on a clear day for the best photos, and if you can manage sunset, the colours are truly magical! Highly recommend this for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone looking for a stunning day trip.

Beautiful place, so understandably everyone knows about it! National Parks and Wildlife do an incredible job maintaining this beautiful place.

We Lunched at The Joey, it was very busy due to the great location with awesome views across the bay, and we were greeted by a very friendly young lady. It was very noisy due to people all shouting louder than one another. The food we ordered came in a reasonable time considering the outdoor area was packed. I ordered the scallops which tasted great but appeared to be halved scallops or the most flattened I've ever eaten. And only 1 & 1/2 scallops for $36 was poor value. The sea trout on the other hand was pleasant enough but sides had to be ordered on top of the fish. Wouldn't return..

Great location right on the water with plenty of parking (ticket paid) out front. Can get busy here in the warmer months & particularly on weekends. We stopped here for lunch and managed to get a table immediately (no booking) on the deck area outside. Menu options are good and some interesting choices on the drinks menu (Japanese sodas). Rump Steak & Beef Burger were ordered and food was good with generous serving size. Food prices reflect the unique location. Service was efficient and friendly and meals didn’t take too long to come out after ordering. We were happy with our lunch and this venue is recommended for a relaxed waterside meal for couples or small groups.

Great location and really good service by the staff. *Food is terrible* Mushroom pizza was bland with no flavour/ seasoning.Caramelized onions were bad topping tbh. Passionfruit curl and southside were badly made. Pumpkin salad was okay at its best. Best item was plain chips as it cant go wrong -_-

Sunday lunch couldn’t have been better. The road trip was worth it. Friendly staff, summer vibes, delicious food - what else you need. Pumpkin salad and Benny’s Avo salad - clean, digestible and fresh. This won’t be the last time I’ll be here. AMAZING! Big tick of approval!

Didn’t have a reservation so had a short wait, staff were very apologetic and kept checking on us. Seated us at a nice corner table on the outside deck and were prompt with service. Food came out quickly, and our lovely server didn’t forget us afterwards. Food was top-notch but that Eton Mess was the star! Gave me a new appreciation of pavlova. Definitely recommend a visit here if you are out Palm Beach way…just make a reservation! Excellent service and excellent food with a fantastic view.

Best tasting fish and chips!! We ordered the seafood basket with an extra barramundi! The batter was super light and everything was crispy and super delicious! Well worth the drive from Sydney! Perfect lunch spot if you're just there for the day. There's free parking up the hill with no time restrictions, but just be prepared to walk 10 mins.

Fabulous spot for lunch or a snack the Barramundi battered is one of the tastiest I’ve had. The salads are nice and they make a great coffee. About 500metres from the water and wonderful views of Pittwater and not crowded. It’s a scenic bus ride from Manly and will take you away from the weekend crowd.

Stopped here only because of available parking en route to Barrenjoey Lighthouse and pleasantly surprised with superb quality of the food. From Brisbane (near the Bay so lots of fish & chip shops near us), this was as good as the best of our locals. Quick, friendly service - lots of staff on hand; near perfect calamari, tasty chips with emphasis on salting your own food - great idea!

Enjoyed a grilled salmon and chip pack today by Pitwater Park. We had a view of the waters from the shop which was pristine. Location - 5 stars. Beautiful water views, easily accessible with plenty of nearby parking. Customer service - 5 stars. Friendly staff. Our assistant was helpful and happily chatted about the different meals and ingredients. She also explained cooking processes. Certain fryers for beer batter and certain grill for Bacon. Chips fried seperate. Thank you Food - 4 stars. Price reasonable for location. Meal was served promptly. Salmon was cooked well and chips where hot on pick up. Would have appreciated a more generous serving, some extra chips. A Grilled Pack would be a nice introduction and so would an option for crummed fish packs.

Prices are reasonable for the area. The Fisherman’s Basket was $22 and had an ok selection of food. One of the staff was quite rude, however the rest were lovely. Great location with a beach and parking across the road.

Got a lovely window seat with a beautiful view. We had the crab linguini, fish & chips, oysters and sourdough – the sourdough was super crispy and tasty! Food was fresh and well presented, though a bit on the salty side, and prices are a little high. Service was friendly and it’s still a great spot for a relaxing meal by the water.

Lovely place. Stayed 2 nights. Excellent service. Great restaurant. Nice DIY breakfast and beautiful shared space upstairs for overnight guests. We had a room at the front which was gorgeous although a little noisy overnight due to passing traffic. The is an Ev charger in the car park across the road which was handy to charge our EV. Lovely region to visit.

While the restaurant is set in a beautiful location and the staff are friendly, the service was nothing short of terrible. After our entrees, we waited over 40 minutes for our mains, which then arrived separately and cold. To be fair, the food itself was tasty — but that was the only redeeming feature. The rest of the evening was marred by a complete lack of attentiveness. We had to ask three times just to place our order, and when the bill finally arrived, we were overcharged by $65 on one item. For a venue that presents itself as a quality dining experience, this level of service is simply unacceptable. We won’t be rushing back

The food at Barrenjoey was great, and the staff seemed generally nice, but the service was really poor. There was a noticeable level of bias that left us feeling overlooked. Another group was given colouring books for their kids, had their table fully prepared with cutlery, and were checked on several times while we had to ask for basic things like cutlery and never received a single check-in. It felt disorganised and dismissive, which really took away from what could have been an enjoyable meal.

This is a nice place, but we didn’t have the best experience here. There was a very loud water feature outside our room running until 4am and another guest started banging on doors about 3am. The food was very good, but the table service wasn’t great. Great location. I hope others have a better experience.

Food was quite good, service was terrible. We had to get up and find someone to come and order our food because they didn’t get someone to come to us. We had to get up again to ask to order more drinks. Glasses and plates weren’t cleared the entire time we were there. Food took a long time to order, portion sizes were small for the price. There isn’t any baby change facilities which isn’t ideal for a family friendly restaurant.

Had the most fantastic overnight stay at the Barrenjoey House hotel rooms and wonderful dinner at the restaurant. Room was extremely clean, amenities were nice, and light breakfast was lovely. Room was very cute and comfortable and nicely decorated. Dinner was excellent - drinks were fantastic, service was very friendly, and all of the dishes were delicious. Would love to stay again and dine here!

I love this gallery! The art is really diverse and high quality. Would definitely recommend. There's a nice coffee shop next door too so you can make a morning of it!

Can I give minus stars!? WORSE PLACE EVERY!! I walked in staff were rude and told me they only had two things left on the menu! When it wasn’t even closing hours!!! I paid $53 for 3 small boxes of chips, and a so called (salad). Chips, that were slapped in a box, wasn’t even cooked, all soggy and wet, no flavour, and no sauce available. Salad with no dressing, was just leaves in a box with some carrots that were DISGUSTING!! Would NEVER recommend!!! I’ll bring my own food next time I’m out….! Thanks I’ll let you know if I get food poisoning!!

We really don’t like leaving negative reviews for local businesses we love. We’re locals and regulars and have seen this place get a wonderful renovation but at the same time an unusual reduction in food offerings. The staff are lovely but we don’t understand how you’re keeping the doors open. In winter it’s one of the only places you can chase the sun with an outdoor seat and a brunch in Palm Beach. But we’ve turned up with breakfast limited to 11.30 several times, and there’s nowhere else to have brunch like meals. And we’ve also turned up to be told the kitchen is closed today — for no particular reason. Not the staffs fault but maybe the way it’s run. Very strange considering they do make good food and coffee, just not all day and sometimes, not at all. Such a shame. The owners may think there is no one around in winter but there are people in school holidays, locals who now go to Avalon, Newport and Mona Vale because this lovely place doesn’t offer a diverse brunch offering and isn’t consistently serviced. If you’re coming here for a day trip , call them to check first, otherwise it’s very disappointing to drive a long way. It’s a shame to see a beautiful place not well serviced with all day food. The pastries are hard as rock, not at all a good substitute for a closed kitchen.

This is a lovely place to have lunch- although the ordering process isn't very personable. The dishes are all gorgeous in presentation and are very unique and delicious.

Place is nicely decked out. There is a variety of seating , ranging from couches, tables and outdoor dining. There is not much service. Staff mostly ignore you, no smiles or greetings. There is room temperature water sitting in jugs on all the tables already. Find your own table and order off the QR code. The house bread and taramasalata were delicious. The pizza is not the best out there. The porchetta pizza was a bit rich and unbalanced flavour wise. It becomes a bit sickening after a few bites. Beer was nice and cold, perfect for a hot day. There is only air con over 1 table, so try to get a table under a fan or near a breeze on a hot day. This place has potential. I think improving the service would go a long way. Most restaurants would greet customers as they walk in and offer some fresh cold water as a minimum. Especially at this price point.

Went to buy chips to take away. In waiting a Elderly lady blanked out and fell and hurt her back on the shelf the staff were attentive getting her a drink and we sat her on a chair. A beautiful serene peaceful place in the middle of all the hustle and bussel . Amazing view from the high vantage point. Small but nice tiered garden . Quiet seating . Pond. Plants well signposted with bible reference to chapter and verse. Beautiful stone work steps and tiers. Free parking for 3 vehicles. I made lunch and rested a few hours there. Not wanting to leave. Wonderful cool breeze on a very hot day. Felt totally refreshed . Felt like a soothing and healing place for the mind.

Such a wonderful place to go. The different levels give you beautiful views of the beach, and the plants with the verses are so fun to research. Very limited parking in a no through road, and with parked cars along the road - it's super tight getting up the hill. Such a serene garden and a slice of peace.

This an incredible public space. It might but small but it is a piece of paradise you certainly don’t expect to find in this location. The garden is well maintained by volunteers and open to the public at no cost but encourages a donation. This beautiful garden a mixture of shrubs fruits trees and has uninterrupted views of Palm Beach . There is 3 parking spots hear just for these gardens and located on a No Through street . There is a book hear for visitors and some history to read about also enjoy your visit and keep it as clean an tidy as you left it .

This garden is very quiet and secluded, right in the middle of a hilltop residential area. Street is narrow and limited parking place available. This is the only bible garden I have come across, kind of interesting and excellent idea. Lovely!

Its a small, but beautifully manicured & maintained garden with chairs provided for time of contemplation with amazing views spanning across the Pacific Ocean. What a generous gesture of the original owner to give this beautiful space for the public’s enjoyment!

Lovely little garden with a gorgeous view. A great place for prayer and reflection. Could be lovely for a small wedding. I have conducted a thanksgiving and blessing service there for a young child. There are benches to sit on, a pond with gold fish, and many of the varieties of plants have a label with a related Bible verse.

I stopped here for lunch today. A great range of sandwiches (freshly made) on the menu. Coffee was great and sandwich was served in generous portions (thick fresh bread & plenty of filling). I had the meatloaf sandwich today. This cafe closes around 2pm which is a shame if you’re after a fairly late lunch. Good spot to sit on the outside tables and watch the Northern Beaches world go by. Good options for close curbside parking for motorcycles too.

Good portion size on everything ordered. Berry Muffin was huge. Best OJ $13 for a full milkshake size drink. Smashed avocado, breakfast wrap and corn fritters were yum. Closest Cafe to Palm Beach Ferry.

Overcharged on my bill by an older woman, who appeared to be in charge. (Luckily I asked for a receipt as proof of payment, although she found it an inconvenience). No reason given and no apology! My overcharge money was dropped on the counter as she walked away. Not good service! Long wait for takeaway burgers. Other people after us were receiving their orders before us. I asked if our order would come soon as we didn't want to miss the ferry. I was then told they would begin cooking it. Other staff were very helpful. Fortunately our food was very tasty.

I had a great coffee at Pronto, just a little pricey at $5.50 for a small coppa!

Beautiful home made banana bread and baked goods. Phenomenal coffee too. Such a nice spot to stop before getting the ferry, if you’ve got some time to spare! The service is also really lovely

Stacie makes great food and excellent coffee and has been here for over 30 years looking after locals and travellers to Palm Beach so if you are heading up the northern beaches put Pronto on your must stop list and you will feel part of the local Palmy scene

Wonderful home cooked lunch at this lovely little Cafe. Friendly prompt service & just a few minutes walk from the ferry. Afterwards we walked up the stepped pathway that leads to Ocean Beach almost opposite this little cafe. Will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful breakfast at Coast Palm Beach Café and absolutely loved it! It’s a cozy little café with a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to start the day. The interior design is stylish yet relaxed, adding to the charm of the place. The food quality was great—fresh ingredients, well-prepared dishes, and delicious flavors. The coffee was also spot-on! The staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. If you’re looking for a peaceful spot with good food and a great vibe, this café is definitely worth a visit. Here I am again! One of my favourites in the area. I come here every time I visit the Palm Beach. Very chilled and cosy atmosphere, friendly staff with great service. Food is simple, delicious and understated. I've tried almost everything on the menu. Lamb Gyro is a personal favourite - so juicy and tender. Their Deluxe Bacon and Eggs roll is also the best - simple things done just right and the result is amazing. And you pretty much can't go wrong with any of their burgers. I only wish I live in Sydney so I can visit them every weekend.

Coast Palm Beach is a fantastic coffee spot! It has such a cozy ambiance that makes you want to settle in and stay a while. What really stood out was the excellent customer experience the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Definitely a great spot for your coffee fix!

Absolutely loved my visit to Coast Palm Beach! This charming café offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, perfect for a morning out. The staff were lovely and made us feel right at home. A standout for me was their seafood platter served with crunchy tasty chips and salad. It’s a must-try, bursting with fresh, flavourful seafood that truly enhances the morning dining experience. If you’re in the mood for a delightful breakfast or brunch, Coast Palm Beach is definitely the place to go!

We had the Fish and Chips, BLT and Baramundi with Turkish Bread and it was so yummmmmms~~ Highly recomend their fish and chips, and I would says it is one of the bests I have eaten by far! Crispy, fresh, juicy and fluffy chips!!! Their mocha is really delicious too. For dessert, the chocolate ice cream was really good too! Service was good and the people was super friendly and nice. There will be a bit of a wait during peak hour but that is understandable. 10/10 will be going back there soon.

We were out on a drive to get some fresh air and a break from the summer rains after a very wet week. Stopped here for lunch and ordered Mango smoothie, cleanser juice, grilled salmon, potato chips, Greek salad and a Superbowl of quinoa, lettuce, poached eggs and peas. The most expensive item on the order was the salmon and it tasted like it was fried rather than grilled. Not sure if we would have it again! The Greek salad and quinoa salad was so fresh. The drinks were okay.

Coast in Palm Beach you are refreshing, relaxing beach feel. Staff very friendly, food is tasty and fresh delicious seafood. Great cocktail!! Recommend as your new local or just to try something new. Look forward to coming back, to try something different.

We babysit our grandkids there. The playground is enjoyable for the kids. Then the library is on the edge of the park and coffee shops are just over the road.

Hunter Valley Wine show at Dunbar Park - absolutely fantastic - if you didn't get there this year bad luck - try to get there next year or maybe just go to the Hunter

Potala Kitchen is hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited! I come here often with my family and friends, and every time, the experience is fantastic. The food is authentic, flavorful, and always fresh. From momos to thukpa, every dish feels like a comforting home-cooked meal. What makes this place even more special is the owner – a truly humble and respected Tibetan gentleman who treats every guest with kindness and warmth. His hospitality adds to the welcoming atmosphere, making Potala Kitchen feel like a home away from home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food and a wonderful dining experience! Will definitely keep coming back.

Bloody 10/10!! My wife and I got a takeaway here on a Thursday night. We had : Pork dumplings with chilli oil Butter chicken curry Sizzling garlic beef Prawn crackers 2x roti Crabs rolls Far out! Everything was so flavourful. The dumplings had a nice spice to them but not too much that it took over the dish, all whilst tasting great and cooked perfectly. I could've eaten 47 of the crab rolls, they were super tasty. The butter chicken curry wasn't a classic tasting butter chicken that I'm used to, but very tasty nonetheless. The sizzling garlic beef was an absolute winner of a dish. Prawn crackers and roti were the prefect match for what we chose and went with each dish. The girls on the front desk were nice and helpful, and the chef was one of the nicest and most humble men I have met, I believe he is the new owner. Congrats on making some great food!

It was my first time trying Thai food and everything was DELICIOUS!! Good portions too. The beef curry puff was to die for!! Soo good!!

Great restaurant run by a lovely man! Do not miss: Prawn crackers Crab rolls Sizzling garlic beef My husband ordered the pork dumplings with chilli oil, which were great. We also ordered the butter chicken which is a nice curry but not the classic “butter chicken” we’re familiar with. Great little neighbourhood spot. The food is so fresh and delicious and made from quality ingredients; we ate heaps and didn’t feel bloated or heavy afterwards!

This place is a total gem! We got takeaway for the first time and the food was seriously amazing! Definitely keen to order again or even dine in next time!

I had the crispy pork belly with Chinese broccoli and it was delicious. There were a couple of other people in the restaurant and phone orders kept coming in, but the food came out quickly. The lady who served me was very enthusiastic and happy too. Only reason it's 4/5 (I'd do 4.5 but it's not possible) is because I had to pop my head into the kitchen to ask for a table and also to pay, as that's where all the staff were.

Had my Birthday lunch here with a bunch of friends. Food was great, staff were awesome and the place had a great vibe. Would highly recommend for an event or just lunch or dinner. Will definitely be back again. They were able to cater for a variety of different dietary needs without any issue and were able to deal with our booking changing multiple times throughout the week. Nothing was too hard for Andy and his team.

I hosted my 21st birthday at Bar Elvina in their upstairs courtyard and private function room for myself and 45 guests. The service from Claudia and Lucy was incredible, they were attentive, warm, friendly and very knowledgeable. They made sure the night ran smoothly, the canapés arrived quickly (and tasted amazing) and the drinks were flowing. I had such a fun evening thanks to the team at Bar Elvina and recommend them for anyone wanting to do an intimate but fun birthday celebration!

I’ve been here several times and the vibes are always immaculate! The fit out is chic but comfortable, and the attention to detail makes you feel a world away. The food is super fresh and beautifully plated, without being too fancy, and there is always a great range of natural and unusual wines on the pour that I don’t see anywhere else. Props to the team for making hospitality seem so effortless, when I know how much hard work goes in behind the scenes. Elvina deserves to be an Avalon institution!

It saddens me to write a review like this for a business, however we have had a shocking experience with Bar Elvina. Whilst our dining experience was nice, we were accidentally over charged $500 (for a large group). We understand mistakes happen and this is okay. However, it has now been almost 3 weeks since the booking and the refund hasn't even been processed. We were assured on the spot that the refund would be back in our account 2-3 business days. We have called the restaurant twice to follow up, both times with very vague responses and no urgency to process the refund. I have also sent 2 emails to the owner, however still no refund. Super disappointing and unprofessional as we are talking about a significant amount being overcharged here and no real care to re-imburse customers. Check your bill thoroughly when dining here guys.

The absolute cutest vibe and atmosphere. The staff are all very pleasant and friendly. The interior is gorgeous, coastal and light and the outside balcony is so open and lovely. The food is all delicious, especially the carrots, sashimi, prawns and lamb shoulder. At one point there was a cockatoo swinging around a sign and all the guests stopped to watch and laugh. It was such a warm atmosphere and a gorgeous place to eat. It also had an extensive wine list with descriptions of the wines.

We had the steak and the shoulder of lamb. Both were exceptional. Good to see they had local Avalon beer. The highlight was the Tirimisu. This was part of the First Table membership, (50% off for meals, no other conditions ) so the whole dinner was great value.

Amazing decor, vibe and delicious food. Could not fault everything that we ordered that night. The staff are really friendly and happy to have a chat or make recommendations about the menu. Loved the balcony section of the restaurant.

So this restaurant like like a typical premium westernised Mexican restaurant. The staffs looks professional, one of them was so welcoming and friendly. He also told me that the tacos are $5 not $8 like in the menu, idk why. I ordered scallops, fish taco, birria taco, and pork belly taco. scallops was alright from the presentation, nicely seared, but one of them was slightly undercooked but it’s fine for me, I also love their purée. Birria taco was ok but a bit warm (maybe because it’s sitting there to wait for another tacos. This birria taco doesn’t have a dip sauce. Fish taco was also good, not too dry. And the last one the pork taco. This is my favourite, but the chunks were too big and it’s a bit hard to eat, I know cutting thinly is very difficult after roasting, maybe they can pre slice it before roast or deep fry like Chicharrón. Place also looks beautiful and classy, they also provide a clean toilet. Also the kitchen located at end of the hallway through the toilet, so it’s semi open kitchen, customers can see the kitchen and it was really clean as well

Beautiful little Mexican restaurant! Not traditional Mexican but beautiful modern menu! Prawn tostadas are super yummy and the burritos are tasty and huge!

Whilst the food is delicious, the service lets this restaurant down. My partner and I have dined here twice and received poor service on both occasions. First time, staff eating behind the bar took their time to take our order and had to ask for water twice. Second time, three employees standing behind the bar having a chat had to request for our order to be taken to be dismissed and then served a filthy glass. Will never return nor recommend which is a shame as the food is lovely.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Alma Restaurant and I must say, it was an absolutely incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the inviting atmosphere and the aromas wafting from the kitchen. The menu at Alma Restaurant is a food lover's dream come true. With a wide range of delectable options, it was difficult to choose just one dish. However, I highly recommend trying the grilled corn, short rib dish, honey halloumi and coconut margaritas - they were all simply divine. What truly set Alma Restaurant apart was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my dining experience was perfect. Their attention to detail and their genuine desire to make each guest feel special is out of this world. I am already counting down the days until I can return to Alma Restaurant and explore more of their menu. It truly is a hidden gem that deserves to be discovered. Treat yourself to a visit and prepare to be amazed. Buen provecho!

We went to this place with a group of 7 as a friend of mine recommended ALMA and it was absolutely fantastic! The variation of the dishes, the super helpful staff and the great drinks - it has been a great experience. The Avocado-Taco and the Ceviche were my absolute highlights! Would definitely recommend, also for veggies.

It was my first time at this Mexican Restaurant. It was for my wedding anniversary and I must say that I got very impressed with the quality and tasty food. It was beyond my expectations. We had a 5 course meal tasting and the dishes were so well presented and tasty that it completed change my mind about Mexican Food in a good way. All the flavours mixed in such way that made a perfect balance. You can't miss this amazing Alma Restaurant at Avalon Beach. I don't have enough words to describe it. And what about the staff??? Simply unsurpassed!! Really friendly staff. The atmosphere and decoration invites to enjoy this great experience. Very well located at the heart of Avalon Beach. Opens till late. I will definitely come back again soon.
