Faunistic Park Le Cornelle, located in Valbrembo, is a modern wildlife sanctuary that goes beyond the traditional concept of a zoo. Established in 1981 by Angelo Ferruccio Benedetti, this park focuses on the conservation of endangered species like the majestic white Bengal tiger within naturalistic habitats. Spanning an impressive 100,000 square meters, it houses a diverse array of mammals, birds, and reptiles from around the globe.
Lovely place and the animals were pretty It was calm and very good experience Highly recommend to both kids and adults

One if the best experiences we had as a family visiting Bergamo, its a must if you like animal parks. The animals was in great condition very clean in great areas and well taken care of.
Christos V — Google review
We came on a rainy day but the place is so nice we didn't even notice. I saw some animals for the first time in my life that live in tropical areas. We had only one hour to visit but it was not enough to see everything. We will come back for sure.
Razvan A — Google review
Luckly found this zoo when trying to find things to do in the area while on holiday. What a surprise. Very cheap at €24 to get in and was huge. All animals were in good condition and the enclosure were top notch. So much to see and do while there. Definitely worth a visit. To get there we got a 2 buses and then walked about 20 mins. So not really easy accessible if dont have a car but is do able.
Tanya S — Google review
This is an amazing zoo! Good selection of animals. Lot of trees and plants. Clean spaces for animals. Great idea regarding safari train for kids and giraffe feeding. You will see more animals in state owned zoos but it is hard to beat the experience you can have here.
Rafał Ż — Google review
This is a really cool place! It’s a bit hard to reach from Bergamo if you don’t have a car, but not impossible. There’s quite a large variety of animals, some of them in really nice habitats (like the exotic birds). There are many restaurants and places where you can eat your own food, even some playgrounds for kids. There’s a train that takes you around the place and it costs €2. It was not very crowded when we arrived, but we visited on a Saturday at 5PM. By the way, the ticked is €18 if you arrive 3 hours before closing (and 3 hours is more than enough if you don’t have young children). Indeed, some spaces are small for the animals (like the elephants, rhinos, or the big cats) and they looked quite sad. Not necessarily not cared for, but a bit depressy. In my opinion, it’s a really cool place, with lots of animals and if you visit Bergamo, it’s definitely not to be missed!
Roxana V — Google review
Very nice zoo park with a lot of animals. Places to eat in the park and picnic areas.
Mariu S — Google review
Fantastic place for the family many animals to see reptiles, serpents, aquatics, Safari Animals, massive park many trees with chairs and tables for picnics —yes you can bring your own food or you can eat in their restaurants book online for your convenience parking is not free though you have to pay €5.00 fix rate. All in all its an amazing place a must see for kids

La Marianna is a renowned bar and pastry shop known for its delicious fiordilatte gelato enriched with large pieces of dark chocolate. The idea for this delectable treat originated from the recipe for stracciatella alla romana and has been a specialty at La Marianna since 1961. The cafe, currently managed by Niccolo Panattoni, offers seating in a charming shaded courtyard, making it an ideal spot for breakfast or a snack before or after an afternoon concert.
I'm cheating to write this review, because my wife has a special bond with this place. She first sat here writing in her journal in 1998. Even if you don't have a long-term tie to this cafe, you'll really enjoy sitting here. Such a calming vibe.

Very nice place, especially in the evening, great taste of atraciatella and other cakes ❤️ Thanks fot the experience 🙏🏼
Silvia P — Google review
Day trip to Bergamo, I stopped by to try Stracciatella (chocolate chip gelato). It is a birthday place of stracciatella. I am not big chocolate chip ice cream person. It was creamy and it was good. I wanted wafer cone, it is only come in 3 scoops, 4.50 euro. The wafer cone was okay. The other two favors were pistachios and strawberry. Stracciatella was the best of the three. Is it better than other gelato, not really.
Jay S — Google review
The original stracciatella ice cream. Yes,this is much more delicious than anything sold as stracciatella. I became a fan. 🤩 Also tried polenta e osei which is a local specialty and very tasty. Crispy sweet polenta outside and some kind of cream with almond and apricot jam inside. Don't forget to try coffee with zabaglione as well, I loved it!!
Kimberly C — Google review
At La Marianna, the birthplace of Stracciatella, simplicity turns into perfection. A scoop of history, a taste of tradition, and the delicate balance of cream and chocolate that has enchanted the world since 1961. Pure Italian elegance in a cone.

Good Gelato, cozy place, and options of dessert. Even it is chill, the outside terrace is a good place to relax. Gelato recomended: Stratiachella Pistachio
Daniel P — Google review
A Perfect Afternoon at La Marianna – Gelato, Aperol, and Sunshine after a walk from the castello di san vigillio. During my recent visit to Bergamo’s charming Città Alta, I had the pleasure of stopping by La Marianna at Largo Colle Aperto, 4. Seated on their spacious outdoor terrace, I indulged in their specialty affogato a delightful combination of rich espresso poured over their signature La Marianna’s original 1961 creation, stracciatella creamy gelato. Complementing this was a refreshing Aperol Spritz, perfectly balanced and served with a smile. The gelato was creamy and rich, with generous chocolate shavings that melted perfectly on the tongue. It was evident that high-quality ingredients were used, making it one of the best I’ve tasted. The ambiance was serene, with the sun casting a gentle glow and the world leisurely passing by. It’s no wonder La Marianna is renowned not only for inventing the iconic stracciatella gelato in 1961 but also for providing such memorable experiences. If you find yourself in Bergamo, I highly recommend taking a moment to relax at La Marianna. Whether you’re a gelato enthusiast or simply seeking a tranquil spot to unwind, this establishment offers both history and hospitality in equal measure.

Gelato is good however 3 scopes in the cup is similar size of 1 scoop with cone.

The Civic Museum of Natural Sciences in Bergamo, established in 1861, is a great destination for those fascinated by zoology, entomology, geology, and paleontology. Situated near the Archaeological Museum in Piazza della Cittadella, it features an array of intriguing exhibits including a mammoth skeleton, arthropod collection, whale skeleton and precious stones. The museum offers interactive experiences for children to touch stuffed animals and various fossils.
It's a really nice and interesting place, make sure you have at least 2+ hours even though the vast majority of the plaques are only in Italian. An additional bonus is that the ticket is also to the Civic Archaeological Museum right next door.

Totally worth to see. Kids were happy that there were interactive pieces of exhibition. Amount of spieces shown is huge, it was a pleasure to see them so close in detail. I couldn't believe it costs only 3 euros. We spent two hours there, without reading a lot, so I can imagine that more time will be needed if you really want to lok deeper

Amazing collection, very tactile-kids will have a good time there. Not everything has an english desciption but it didn't bother us at all. Price is really low it's just 3€ per person, really worth a visit.

Cool museum with all kinds of interactive stuff! The price is 3€. The woman at the ticket office is really cool! Ce verimm! 😄

Superb displays, excellent descriptions (in English as well as Italian), very child-friendly (my 5 year old boy loved it!) and incredible value - only €3 for 3 museums!?
Alan S — Google review
What a great place! The ticket is €3 and it includes the archeological museum as well. It has a very large variety of species, from bugs and minerals to large mammals and dinosaurs. It can be visited and enjoyed by people of all ages, not only children, yet it has some interactive games for kids. They even have some live ants and stick bugs which were really cool. There are 2 things that could be improved. First, the window displays are quite old and could be updated. Second, the explanations and descriptions are in Italian only. They should really translate them to English as well. All in all, great value for money! (We would have paid more if it was a bit more foreiner friendly)

Spacious restaurant with a nice atmosphere overall. Plenty of options for pizza although the one with grilled vegetables were definitely not grilled. Unfortunately, poor service as we waited more than an hour for 4 pizzas and the last pizza arrived almost 20 minutes after the first. No apologies from the staff for the lengthy delay. Quite disorganized. Too bad.

Very atmospheric restaurant, great food from local ingredients and exceptional service.

I enjoyed the ambience, beautiful garden and my first lunch here, just few weeks after lockdown. However evening experience was not good. Right after we were seated and ordered our meal they started to serve the party we hadn’t been informed about. The service was terribly slow, my steak tartare didn’t seem to be very fresh and even if it looked very good it wasn’t served properly, they didn’t have any Tabasco in house. In the end they made us wait 30 minutes for coffee. When I asked for discount for scarce service the lady offered us a free coffee we didn’t want anymore...
