This place is underestimated the staff are super friendly and if you know what to get on the menu being the fresh seafood you won't be disappointed. I had the tuna and it was one of the best tuna steaks I've ever had surpassing anything I've had on the Mediterranean. My wife had the crab legs and raved about them. This is not a pretentious Michelien star restaurant but just great views and very good food if you know what to order.

This food was amazing! I loved the chilean sea bass. Wife loved her salmon poke bowl. Son loved his raw oysters. Something here for everybody. Not sure why the average rating isn't higher. Definitely want to come back and try other dishes.

Oh my goodness, the sunset views are amazing. The food was excellent and the souvenir drinks are top notch. I had the broiled seafood special with the broccolini and truffle mashed potatoes. Superb. Definitely a do not miss place to eat.

Excellent service. All employees we encountered were very welcoming and pleasant. We had She Crab Soup, Shrimp, Oysters, Calamari Fries, and Lobster Garlic Parm Fries. All of our food was delicious. I like that when you order a drink, you get to keep the cup.

First time here and I'm impressed. The today's special dinner, pan seared scallops, was amazing. The water view is stunning and I could eat here all day. The key lime pie for dessert was also delicious. Highly recommended for everyone.

First and foremost, the food was amazing. The server however, never told us about the special of the night, as we would have gotten the special. Plus our waiter never asked if we wanted refills on any of our drinks or if we wanted desserts. We spent $300 for 5 of us which was fine, but service could have been much better. Also, our appetizer (shrimp rolls) came after our meal! So I only gave 4 ⭐️’s. We are here for the first time on vacation!

If you are looking for the best views at sunset this is the place. Durng my visit, restrooms were in need of serious service otherwise review could have been a 5 for atmosphere. As we only enjoyed drinks during the visit review is abbreviated.

Another terrific dinner in Duck, NC! Blue Point offers an upscale dining experience in a cozy, welcoming space with a stunning view of the Currituck Sound—especially magical at sunset. We started with the Caesar salad, then enjoyed the catfish and duck confit, both beautifully prepared. For dessert, the crème brûlée and berry cobbler with buttermilk ice cream were outstanding. Our server, Reese, was attentive, knowledgeable, and added to the overall excellent experience. A truly lovely meal from start to finish.

The sheep head sliders were excellent, and my snapper was outstanding! Lots of locals come here and some of the service have been here for decades. Also beautiful views because they’re located right on the water! The first worst games I’ve experienced just sucks.

Partner and I went for a birthday dinner. Ate outside on deck. Weather was beautiful as was the meal. I had the recommended entree and it was fabulous. After dinner we had dessert as the dun set on the water.

The Blue Point is hands down THE PLACE TO BE for an Outer Bank's sunset! To go along with dreamy sunsets, they have an awesome outdoor bar and venue space where live music plays as the sun goes down. Their food is delicious, with excellent service! A must visit when visiting the Outer Banks.

Not many places genuinely feel like a home cooked meal. From the entree to the desert, everything felt like it was hand crafted and tasted like it too. My new favorite place in obx for dinner and date night.

The Blue Point provides an outstanding dining experience. While ownership has passed in 2021 from the original owners to the new owners, siblings Ryan, Leigh, and Jamie Raskin. The trio has continued the tradition of culinary excellence in Duck, NC. I've traveled the country and have dined in New York, LA, Chicago, etc. etc. and The Blue Point rivals any place I've been for location, ambience, service and quality of apps, small and large plates, and drinks. As anyone who has dined at The Blue Point knows, the location offers a view of spectacular sunsets. Once inside the restaurant, you note the cool and unique design that the original owners John Power and Sam McGann brought to their space 30+ years ago. Vintage tables, booths, lighting, bar area with comfy seating. It's like comfort for the soul sitting down and nestled into your space. Our server, Mark, was outstanding. Attentive, not overbearing, providing space in time to ponder the drink and food menus. A server elevates the experience or deflates it- Mark's interaction with our 6-person party was perfectly calibrated. Our drink orders were prepared to perfection. Key to the beginning of our anticaped fun. Beverages ignite the party or drown it. Our drinks lit the fuse and the party was on. We began with the Blue Point Carolina she crab bisque. It was delicious and served at just the right temperature to bring out all of the flavor. That was joined by the soft crab on cole slaw- well plated, and prepared. The mixed green salad was prepared with pickled strawberries toasted sunflower seeds and strawberry vincotto vinaigrette. A cacophony of flavors working so well. The hit were the fried green tomatoes. Lightly battered,fried, and with tasty pimento cheese. Our group raved over them. Just when we thought things could not get any better, the entrees were served. Scalloped cooked to perfection on quinoa, with roasted apples, aleppo spiced pork lordons, raisins and apple brown butter vinaigrette. The southern shrimp and mill grits with scallops, smoked tasso ham. Exquisite texture, taste. The Virginia catfish did not taste like chicken- lol. Because it was served lightly breaded, with red beans and rice with alligator sausage, house pickles (yum), topped with Cajun ramoulade. Last, the special flounder was outstanding. Our dessert was shared creme broule and topped off an overall 5 star dining experience. Kudos to the chef, sous chef and the entire service staff. I cannot say enough good things about The Blue Point. Do not miss this place while in Duck, NC!!

Duck’s Cottage is a gem in OBX that is a perfect place to patron if you’re looking for a great way to start your day or get an afternoon boost. It’s a cute and cozy shop with a really appealing atmosphere. As an avid coffee drinker, the coffee isn’t “the best I’ve ever had”, but it’s still good! Even as someone who’s not much of a reader, I appreciate the selection of books! Duck’s Cottage is worth a visit for sure and could become a staple of your trips to the Banks.

I hosted my family to coffee and a pastry. I blurted out to the young lady taking orders if they made hearts on their lattes. When I picked up my latte, one of the baristas announced that she made me a heart! Frankly, by doing such a sweet thing they stole my heart! What a wonderful moment and morning! - Adam (Virginia)

A perfect treasure nestled along the Duck boardwalk. Coffee is perfect (try their custom brews) and they have many interesting books and gifts. I went here three times over two days.

Great little shop, love the books but unfortunately the coffee is terrible. I had just a plain drip coffee and it tastes very under extracted, bitter water if you will. Seems and tastes like they never truly clean their coffee pots. The top of my coffee looks like a mineral mosaic….yuck! Also seemed like we were inconveniencing the concierges in their conversation. The waterfront is gorgeous though!

4/27/25 - went for brunch and wasn't too impressed. I ordered the crab cake breakfast sandwich. It was good but felt the price was a little expensive. You just get the sandwich and that's it, no sides or anything. You could obviously add sides for extra costs. My husband got the marks, which was okay. They didn't even melt the cheese on his eggs, just placed it right on top of it. His dish must have been first done because his eggs were also cold. He did like his pancakes. I also got an espresso martini but something about it was off, my friend loves them and she thinks it was the coffee they used. We also got there about 10:30 and we were in that in between time for either breakfast or lunch but they wouldn't let us order lunch until exactly 11am, so we just did the brunch. Our server was nice though but wasn't too impressed with the food.

Breakfast was great. Probably the best pancakes I've ever eaten, and I've tried a lot of pancakes! Service was impeccable, the outdoor seating is nice but could use a little more airflow to help move the flies along when the breeze is stalled. We sat outside for brunch; it was beautifully adorned with window boxes and fresh flowers. I'd come back anytime I'm around. Not sure about the ratings, but based on our brunch experience, it seems a bit underrated.

We stopped here for lunch and had an okay experience. I’m not sure if they were understaffed, but it felt like the service team was stretched thin. We stood at the front waiting to be seated and were mistaken for a large group that was waiting for a table. Once that group was seated, another waitress approached and asked if we had been helped. I told her we hadn’t yet and she quickly got us seated. It took a while for our assigned waiter to help us so we sat for a few minutes. The food was good, but the service was slow and inattentive.

Food was horrible. I got fish and chips. My food tasted like it was overcooked and from the freezer section of a grocery store. They give you a dipping sauce that tastes like horseradish- probably so you don’t taste how bad the food is. I 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Incredible fried green tomato sandwich! Great lunch spot for vegetarians wanting something other than a veggie burger or salad in the outer banks. Also the potato salad is vegetarian and so good! Plus 10/10 service from Ella, she’s the sweetest and a great server!

My family and I recently made a last-minute decision to grab breakfast at Coastal Cravings, and it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was inviting, and as dog owners, we were thrilled to find they allow pups on their patio. It's so nice to find a spot where the whole family can enjoy a meal together. The food was good. I was particularly impressed with the service—the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Coastal Cravings is a fantastic little spot for a quick bite, and I highly recommend it if you're in the Duck, NC, area.

We loved everything about our dining experience!!! Tashawna was an amazing waitress! Friendly, kind, patient and knowledgeable. The food…..off the charts!!! The fish and ships was the best we have ever had, we wanted the lobster roll which she told us was out of stock , so we took a chance on the fish and chips and was pleased ! My husband had the crab cake sandwich and he’s still talking about it !!! I can't wait to return and send my friends here!! Awesome food and excellent service!!

We come once a year to Duck, NC. We always get Duck Donuts one morning. It is a highlight to my year. These donuts are delicious! The options for toppings are amazing! Warm, Delicious, and made to order! Get there early as they can sell out. This location has outdoor picnic tables. If you are near a Duck Donuts I would say you almost HAVE TO stop and get at least half a dozen:)

Ordering is a little confusing until you figure out you order across the boardwalk and it’s so busy and crowded! We’ve heard the hype about the viral Duck Donuts and wanted to try for ourselves on the original Duck location. This was a cool experience and donuts are best ever! I wish they had a gluten free one! My husband ordered a half dozen mixed so he could try some different flavors. The Bacon in the Sun was the first one he ate and it was AMAZING. He has a sweet tooth’s and these made him so happy! They were an awesome treat while in Duck and we are now Duck Donut believers! If you don’t know the legend behind Duck Donuts- they make them fresh on the spot customized to whatever glaze, icing and toppings you want or you can order one of their signature flavors, also made fresh to order. They come out warm and delicious! They’re a MUST TRY!

First time going will not be my last, got the dozen fan favorite assorted and it did not disappoint. On a busy day parking is tight and you will have to walk if you are not lucky enough to score a parking place but you will not be sad. We'll worth the trip going ❤️

Very friendly staff and the best doughnuts around! The picnic tables on the dock offer a relaxing spot to enjoy your treats while taking in the surrounding nature—saw plenty of birds and beautiful views. A peaceful and tasty experience all around!

10/10 best donut shop ever. Top left donut was blueberry pancake, top right was peaches and cream, middle left was strawberry shortcake, middle right was bacon in the sun, bottom left was the boardwalk, bottom right was sunrise. Chocolate milk wasn't quite chocolatey enough, but still good. Would recommend!

This place was amazing! Luckily we found a spot in the little lot out front. We were able to order quickly from the knowledgeable cashier and grab a seat on the patio. Beautiful views of the sound! We had the pretzel and pimento board + the chicken salad sandwich. Both were delicious and we would order again. Highly recommend this little gem!

What a terrific concept. Don't worry, if you aren't into boards they have a good selection of sandwiches as well. Order at the counter and they'll bring it out. The water is free and they have a water dispenser with ready access, so drink to your heart's delight. Nice beer and wine selections as well. We had a picky eater with us and she found something. Give it a try. you'll probably like it. If you don't, that's too bad. It's good stuff. And the pretzel board is the bomb. Oh and there is a cool Cypress tree off the sound walk to the south.

Been coming to Duck for years but this was our first visit to Even Tide. It won’t be our last. We got the Bavarian pretzel with pimento cheese, and it was amazing. We also each really enjoyed grilled cheese sandwiches. We sat outside on the deck. Several tables available when we arrived but was full when we left.

Really enjoyed the ambiance and wonderful staff. The live music made the experience even better. Great drink selection and menu. The Bavarian pretzel was fantastic. Will definitely be back!

Good place for appetizers and a quick drink . The hummus board was great and the food was fresh. Even Tide is more quaint since it’s tucked away from neighboring NC coast and other restaurants. Good view on the water.. the only reason I gave it four and not five stars because the outside patio could be cuter with plants and pops of color. It’s a drab brown and the cobwebs/dirt in corners negatively affected the aesthetics .. the inside is bright, white, clean and a cute cottage feel.

The Blue LT sandwich and goat cheese salad made me feel things. They awakened an otherwise dormant joy I haven’t felt since...a long time ago. Thank you Even Tide. You made my day.

My sister-in-law got her coffee here and noticed a chalkboard sign for a "Turtle Talk" at 9:30. My daughter and I went and listened to a member of N.E.S.T. tell us about the area's sea turtles and the efforts of local volunteers to help out. Very friendly and attentive service in a bright, clean space. Big selection of quality beer and wine. Nice location a bit back from the road. You can't go wrong here!

Stopped in for a cold drink on a hot day. Adorable place, very dog friendly. Let my huge dog sit inside while we waited for our smoothies. Mango smoothie was good but a little too sweet for me. If you like sweet, you'll love it. But it was cold and refreshing. The lady who helped us was very kind and offered great tips on the area and local beaches. Lots of wine and beer selections. Coffee, fraps, and lemonade were options. I'd say stop in if you're around and check them out.

What is this little gem!? How did I not know this place existed until the second to last day in Duck? Cute little patio with umbrellas to watch the busy world of Duck pass by. Got myself some champagne but could have selected any of the unique and off the wall drinks. Serves coffee and all kinds of stuff. You MUST make a quick stop!

The view while waiting was amazing. I’m giving 3 stars though because their choice of flavors was a bit limited, and oddly, my my caramel cheesecake cone tasted like mint towards the bottom, like they didn’t rinse the scooper well enough. Otherwise, it was good your standard ice cream cone.

went to this for a late evening, ice cream craving. staff was efficient but not friendly. selections were limited but the basics were covered. great view from the boardwalk while we enjoyed our dessert. I am glad we waited until the sun went down, as the shop and boardwalk faces west and so afternoons through dinner-time is pretty hot with no shade and would melt the ice cream fast.

Delicious ice cream with a fair amount of flavors. Seem be busy all the time. Wish they let you miss and match flavors of ice cream on cones for small size since they are so generous with their helpings. M&m one delicious (kids had that one) I did not like pretzel cone it to salty. I would try place again.

the ice cream here is great! would love to see more vegan or nondairy ice cream options in the future, besides just the sorbets. when i went last week they were no longer requiring masks. but i don't blame them for requiring masks before. they interact with so many people every day, so they're much more at risk from their customers than vice versa. they deserve safety and respect!

Best espresso milkshake. Very impressed by this place. While waiting for our order, a young man placed his order. When he went to pay with a credit card, he was informed that they were cash only. He had no cash and went to cancel order. Worker told him to take the order and just stop back later with the cash. They said anytime, no hurry. What a great gesture that you don't see often.

Excellent lunch experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. Bryan was our server, and he was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be coming back!

If you’re looking for a European dinning experience this is a close competitor. As a European this was the first restaurant I tried in the outer banks that had a proper portion size(Not to big) and was seem to be high quality food not basked in cooking oil and butter. The food was fresh and didn’t leave that feeling of fat in ur stomach. The prices were high and we paid around 300$ for 4 people, but each dish was cooked excellently and you could tell a lot of thought went into it. Definitely would recommend

We had a great experience at Aqua. There were 6 of us and two dogs. Service was amazing! Drinks were great, and so were the apps and main course meals. Views were beautiful. One of the best restaurants in Duck.

Very nice place. The food was good and generous portions. The service was great. It was a little loud inside and they could not accommodate combining 2 reservations into one table so we sat separately.

We had a delicious meal at Aqua. If you are vacationing in the Outer Banks then this place is a must. I got the roast chicken which was delicious. The vegetarian entree was excellent as well. I loved the crab soup as well.

We were lucky enough to enjoy dining at the gazebo a few weeks ago. We had friends from out of town come in and they loved it!! Beautiful sunset, private dining and delicious food. We got the board of course and every bit of it was gone. Jen our waitress was lovely and so accommodating especially when one couple was arriving later than anticipated. Sandra was great to work with in setting it all up. Definitely will do again and of course will go anytime to sit inside as well!

In Duck, NC for a wedding and were lucky to have our rehearsal dinner at NC Coast Bar and Grill with a majority of the wedding party. We were seated right away. Our server, Travis, was outstanding accommodating, punctual, and made sure the kids’ meals came out first, which we really appreciated. We ordered nearly all appetizers and loved every one of them, and the entrées were just as delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, the outdoor patio was great for the kids, and everyone left happy. Highly recommend NC Coast Bar and Grill for great food and excellent service!

Favorite spot in duck. They have excellent food and specials. I also love that it’s got a clean, modern and open design. They have good, basic drink options. The seafood is good and fresh. We got king crab legs that were fantastic and a special tuna bowl. I like the variety of options they have on the menu too

My group enjoyed our time here. Definitely an excellent view. Some of our group was surprised one of the sauces tasted exactly like something they regularly buy from the store. The portion prices seemed small on some of the more expensive items. We were surprised to find there was already an auto gratuity applied for our group. So we tipped double the intended amount. Definitely be aware of this in case you have a group over 7! Absolutely understandable, but we wish it would've been verbally communicated since the people who covered the bill weren't wearing reading glasses. Our waitress was lovely and very helpful The sweet potato fries and poutine were excellent. Highly recommend for taste and price!

This has by far been the best on the water dining experience in Corolla/Duck. After coming to the area for 5 years, we’ve had a variety of dining experiences and always try something new. I was worried due to small menu and being on the sound, as sometimes there are odors. We were seated quickly at about 5/530 on a Saturday evening and had the BEST view of the sound from our outdoor table! It was so beautiful!! The crap dip appetizer was incredible, and my salmon was cooked perfectly! I’ll note this salmon was supposed to be pistachio crusted, but due to allergies, they graciously left that out. My table also had a chicken Caesar salad and the crab cakes - nothing less than rave reviews from all! We’re marking it a total success and will be back in the future to enjoy maybe a sunset dinner. They were setting up live music too! Just an awesome vibe and scenery. Thank you for such a great dinner to end our vacation!! ❤️

A pilgrimage to the Outer Banks is not about food for me but about rest and enjoying my favorite relationships. We stopped in here to grab a bite while waiting for our beach house to be ready. It was too humid to sit outside but the view was very serene and enjoyable. The menu at the time we went in was very limited. My husband and son shared the Mexican appetizer which was a creative and delicious combination. The restaurant was crowded and very loud, felt like hustle and bustle. I thought the prices were extremely high but that piece of real estate is pricey to rent I’m sure and they have to pay for it with their summer customers. The staff were friendly but kind of looked us up and down as if we maybe we weren’t dressed well enough. We had just driven 8 hours and didn’t look our best.

Probably our best meal during our week long family vacation! All 16 of us (teens/20s, parents and grandparents) were able to sit on the patio in two tables of 8. The food was to die for! Clam chowder was delicious! We had the shrimp & pine nuts (soo good), pork chops (huge portion and amazing), lobster ravioli special (yum!) and the yellow fin special (literally the best thing we ate all week!) Kids also had the burger and duck dynasty. All plates were cleaned and bellies were full! Loved it ALL.

This place was awesome, food was delicious. Ingredients were fresh. Outside seating was perfect and wait wasn’t too long either. Service was nice and attentive and made us feel cared for throughout the meal. Overall, great experience.

The front entrance to this location was hard to find. The food portions were skimpy, but it did taste good. Took a while for it to be delivered to the table. There was no printed kids menu, and the waitress said there were only 2 items for kids (grilled cheese or butter noodles.)

Cool spot for lunch but I’ve never seen a smash burger that was not smashed and the size of a slider. Service was a little slow and the soda was flat. One of my least favorite meals this week.

The new owners have done an outstanding job. Brought my houseguests here and seated right away. We had an amazing experience from start to finish. Service, drinks, and food were spot on. The new owners clearly care about people first—it’s not just about making money. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare, and it’s exactly why this place deserves a 5-star review.

Our dinner came and my wife's dinner side was wrong. We told our server and she said they substituted broccoli with squash because they were out of broccoli. My wife told her she specifically asked for broccoli because she didn't like squash, and asked if there was another option. Our server chuckled saying "I don't like squash either" and walked away. When the bill is two hundred dollars for four people, you'd think making the order correctly and accommodating the customer when it isnt, wouldn't be optional. We won't be back. And no, we aren't tourists from Pennsylvania. We will be more than happy to spend our money elsewhere, especially during the off season.

Solid spot. Food was good, especially the burgers. Service was a little slow but it was a lazy Sunday afternoon so that may have been the problem. Everyone was very nice and hospitable which isn’t always the case in the area.

Ate here after eating at NC Coast (their sister restaurant) the night before, and the food was just as good as NC Coast. We split three appetizers, and all were delicious. Our entrees were great as well. We will be back! Update: we came back. We ordered another round of appetizers which were great! We ordered our entrees. Shortly after starting to eat my entree, I found a bug in the arugula in my Southern Parm dish. Our server was so kind and immediately refunded us and apologized. Unfortunately, things happen, but the way the staff handled it was professional and appreciated.

Small but nicely appointed restaurant. We had a reservation for 10 and our waitress was sweet and efficient. Speciality cocktails were amazing. All of our meals were delicious. My dish could have been hotter but serving 10 at one time is likely difficult to keep hot at the same time so understandable.

Amazing experience. This chef is amazing and absolutely love his two restaurants in Duck. Best places here honestly. No other place compares. Our server tonight was amazing and super friendly. Haven’t been here before but will definitely be back every other night next year between NC Coastal and Red Sky. Food was phenomenal.

This was our first time eating here and if we had time we would’ve come back for dinner. The service was great! Everyone welcomed us when we came in and our waitress was very pleasant. We got the crab bisque which was outstanding, and had chunks of real crab meat. My husband got the shrimp po boy. The shrimp were delicious. The batter was well seasoned and a light fry. The roll was soft and chewy with fresh veggies. I got the steak bites with roasted red pepper sauce and blue cheese which was very tasty and finished my meal with a slice of blueberry cheesecake.

Arrived around 4pm. If it weren’t for gps, I don’t know if we would have noticed where Red Sky was located, as it’s in a shared building with a realty office. We were the only customers when we went in. The very friendly hostess seated us right away and the waitress greeted us quickly. We started off with the Creamy Crab Soup. It was delectable. For our main meals I ordered the Shrimp po Boy and a side crab cake, Hubby ordered their Shrimp and Grits & Daughter ordered pasta with butter. My po Boy was really delicious and quite filling I couldn’t even eat much of the fries, which were cooked perfectly (crispy and flavorful on the outside, soft on the inside!). I shared 1/2 my side Crab Cake with my hubby. It was really good. Loved the sauce they had on the side. He enjoyed his Shrimp and Grits and said it was flavorful. The Cellentani Pasta with butter wasn’t Al dente, but my daughter ate it all. Quite a darling place, but a bit overpriced. Though they have a small kids menu, it strikes me as more of an adult eatery with adult drinks available. High quality food, casual wear, a bit overpriced.

Went for burgers and ended up with a Southern chicken parm dish, and scallops with pasta. Had crab dip as an appetizer. Everything was fantastic! The waitress was very enthusiastic about explaining their dishes. I highly recommend!

Hard to find parking spot. We ended up park kinda far away for our dinner and walked here through the broadwalk afterward. The place was kind of empty, maybe because it was about to rain. Staffs were very friendly. We ordered donuts on a stick and donuts sandwich. They came out in a few short minutes. My donuts were warm and a perfectly crispy at the outside. The sandwich was also good. We enjoyed them so much. Would love to try more stuff here.

I recently had to go gluten-free and have been missing good sweets, especially on vacation. And WOW these donuts outdid themselves, so amazing! Plus the staff in the shop are wonderful and super helpful when ordering! 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend.

Absolutely incredible. I had the cinnamon sugar donuts with vanilla bean ice cream—an unforgettable combo that will seriously blow your mind. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the whole place has a warm, nostalgic vibe.

We are in town visiting and came to the boardwalk. We stopped here and bought donuts to fuel the walk. We had the Cinnamon roll and vanilla coconut. The donuts were absolutely perfect. They are cake style deep fried to a perfect crisp and topped with your choice.

Wow is really all you can say about the donut sundaes. The donuts couldn't have been any fresher. They were warm fresh and delicious. Mate that with your favorite ice cream and you can't go wrong. The small donut sundae is 2 donuts and 2 scoops. No need to get the large imo.

Such a wonderful find while in the OBX! They took great care of our gluten free person and the dairy free (vegan). They took care to stamp the ticket with the allergy and had the container stickered as such when they served the hot donuts to us!

This place was good! When you walk in, it smells amazing, like fresh donuts. I would definitely recommend trying the Milk and cookies donut as well as the cinnamon roll one.

Been to Dockside n Duck for years : The prepared clam bake was easy and perfection ! Do not pass up the corn bread - it is like dessert! Locally owned and personal service - a Duck original that year in and year out is the BEST ! Secret :Tomato Pie is the best in NC The entire meal in the pic was prepared in less that 40 min ! butter and 🔥cocktail sauce included ! Yum

We shopped here twice during our stay in Duck. We purchased Tile, Red Snapper, peal and eat shrimp, 2 different crab dips, bread and tomato pie. Everything was delicious and very fresh. Very helpful staff! I would love that tomato pie recipe!

Had to call early a few days in a row, buy was finally able to get some steamed blue crab. It was well worth it. So delicious! Their seasoning was so good too!

This place is the best! We got crab legs and shrimp twice last year during our beach trip and twice again this year. We had a little blip with one of orders and they handled it perfectly! Highly recommend!

NOT ALLERGEN SAFE OR FRIENDLY. Employee, inc Manager/Supervisor refused to accommodate any precautions for a member of our group with Celiac (Gluten). There are better and more inclusive options within walking distance in Duck. Avoid as necessary. Edit to reply to owner. While I understand flavors can contain allergens, the employees and manager said "No" when we asked for cross contamination precautions. We requested a clean scoop and fresh gloves, and were refused. Perhaps this is an opportunity to train the employees to act as you describe.

Great homemade ice cream store! Plenty of space, lots of flavors. It does get busy at night, but moves fast. I tried coffee toffee chocolate chip, single scoop on waffle cone was a decent size. The ice cream tasted fantastic and lots of mixed in toppings. Only downside is the waffle cone wasn’t as good compared to other ice cream stores that I’ve been to. They also sell candies and chocolates. Visit them if you’re here!

Delicious ice cream! We got a pint of their butter toffee and chocolate chip ice cream.l and classic vanilla to go. Very creamy and rich. They also have some great chocolates as well. Had to get their dark chocolate covered pretzels. Can't wait to go back and get a waffle cone.

DUBAI CHOCOLATE SCAM My partner and I were searching for a sweet treat, as she had a fever the entire day. I typed in “Icecream near me” into the search engine, little did I know I would be humiliated and SCAMMED. I requested a Dubai Chocolate Sundae, and my partner requested the Dubai Chocolate Icecream bar. I was not made aware of the ABSURD pricing until after my sundae had been prepared. At this point my partner was feeling under the weather, and too weak to speak up for herself. We paid $35 in all; the bar was minuscule, low quality and both treats were extremely underwhelming. Once my partner had purchased both items, a crew member smugly said, with a smirk on her face, “It’s not worth the money.” Later on we went to get napkins and the crew members kept asking “was it worth it?” And laughed in our faces after my partner had built up the courage in her weakened state to confront them for the SCAM. We were shamed and ridiculed, when all we had wanted and hoped for was a sweet treat.

Newer entry to the Soundside shops in Duck replacing Plum Crazy (second location in Timbuck II). Standard ice cream flavors and a number of exotic and creative mixes. The advertised Seasalt Caramel Pretzel is absolutely delicious. Somehow the pretzels (plenty) are not mushy, but firm. Waffle cones a must. A number of flavors sold in pints in the dairy case. Store is stocked with all types of chewing gum, candy, candy bars, small toys, medium to large stuffed animals, and multiple sodas by the bottle. On the end of the boardwalk overlooking the Sound with great views.

Ice cream was pretty good, but the price is too much for what you get. $6 for a single, small scoop is expected for the beach of course, but the amount we got was beyond small. I work at an ice cream shop and know that we go off of 4 oz sizes per scoop, and this wasn’t close. Besides, the shop is also all homemade, and a single scoop is $2.79. Save your money and go elsewhere if you’re looking for something affordable for a family. But I would recommend the banana and biscotti flavors if it’s up your alley

After a long day at the hot beach, waiting in line for dinner (so loud we couldn't hear ourselves think) I took my family to Big Bucks ice cream. Big Bucks you saved the day! Not only was everyone friendly they were very patient with my indecisive family! They offered tasting and answered questions about ingredients as I am lactose intolerant. The rest of the family got there homemade ice cream, my daughter got the Dubai Sunday, all were over the top fantastic. I was directed to the pints because they can't guarantee cross contamination, which I get. They had a few choices for me and I was thrilled and very satisfied! Of course my kids needed plushies and they had those... So win! We walked onto the boardwalk and enjoyed ourselves having conversations that were not able to be had in the previous restaurant. At the end we even went back for espresso! A family memory that will not be forgotten anytime soon! Thank you Big Bucks. It might be a bit pricier than other places but so worth it... After all everything, even the chocolate, is homemade! You get what you pay for and we certainly got ours🤣

Probably one of the worst experiences we have ever had at the Outer Banks. I would give negative stars if i could. Hair was in food, when we sent it back the reused the food that was in the original dish and overcooked the scallops. asked if they would compensate and said they would just comp the scallops. It took over 2.5 hours to get seated….. sucks because there are limited dining options in Duck, NC on Saturday night. hostess when asked again about the table being ready she said, “I’m too busy”. Save your money………stay away. too much money for bad food. Service was great. hate it for the server…had to put one star for that’s what this place deserves.

A casual place located on the second level of a shopping area. We stopped in for a quick lunch upon arriving in Duck for our week getaway. The service was fine - as was the food. The grilled shrimp on Caesar and blackened Mahi sandwich with pasta salad. My daughter and son in law really liked this place - they went back 4 times!

We were seated quickly and our server was very sweet and attentive—that’s the only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1. Unfortunately, the food was extremely disappointing. Everything was bland, lacking flavor, and definitely overpriced for what we got. Honestly, it felt like a waste of money and I left wishing we had chosen another place. Trust me when I say skip this place!

This has to be the most underrated restaurant in the whole area! The food from appetizer to dessert was all FABULOUS. There were 6 of us and one is a picky eater who had NO trouble here. We got cheesesteak egg rolls (make sure to say yes to the queso), macho nachos (large portion!), and steamed shrimp for appetizers and each one was delicious. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the cocktail sauce had a nice flavor and kick. For dinner we had the shrimp and grits (excellent flavor), seafood Mac (seafood forward they did not skimp!), the chicken and “ducklings” (does not contain duck or ducklings, was FABULOUS like a chicken dumplings dish) and the fish of the day (nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection). Dessert was the chocolate peanut butter pie that was so good we got a second slice. 10/10 would recommend and the wait was significantly less than all surrounding area restaurants.

The STAFF makes this place amazing. The food was top notch but the wait was longg. They don't take reservations, so it's first come first serve. A few of us went first, put our name on the list and the second half of our party came a little later. Just make sure your entire party is there when you're about to be seated. The wings were delicious and the flounder scallops and shrimp were cooked perfect.

Great food and the atmosphere was very nice. Customer service was great, Olga was so wonderful. Perfect little place for some good fish, shrimp and the mash potatoes were on point ❤️❤️

The clam chowder was acceptable but have had much better. Fish and chips was all chips and there was no way the mahi was fresh. It had either been frozen or reheated 😝

It was a cozy family friendly place. At the time of our visit there was only one person doing all the waiting, bussing tables and taking orders, made the service slow. Menu is very small with little options for kids.. but the burgers were worth the wait.

A very basic hamburger place menu with a veggie burger that was really great. See my close up photo that shows the texture. My wife ordered the regular burger and it was thick and cooked to order. All burgers come with fries plus there are ice cream and milkshake choices for something sweet to complete your meal. We will eat here again.

Great place with great people. Busy busy but they make it work, keeping a smile and are extremely helpful. The food is good and the portion sizes are generous. Wonderful restaurant! Try it.

You don’t come for the ambiance. You come for the burger. And in that department, it delivers quite nicely. Big and juicy, with a nice charbroiled taste. French fries were also really nice. Completely satisfied.

This was our first time visiting The Village Table and Tavern, and I didn't hate it. I didn't love it either, but i definitely did not hate it. First off, our waiter, Ryan, is what made the entire experience great. He was attentive, and he seemed to genuinely enjoy his job. Hats off to Ryan. Second, the view that you can see from almost anywhere in the restaurant is just gorgeous. It's such a pretty atmosphere. We got the goat cheese hush puppies, delicious! The tavern burger was just okay, but the fries were great! And I got nothing but smiles from the kids when it came to the chicken tenders. All in all, we would probably give this restaurant another try next time we visit the OBX.

The Village Table & Tavern was an absolute delight! The ocean view is stunning, and the whole place has a relaxed, welcoming feel. We had the fish sandwich and the BLT both were fantastic. The fries were way better than the chips. The staff was cheerful, helpful, and fast, and everything including the restrooms was spotless. Highly recommend for a laid-back meal with a view!

The food here was delicious! The service was good. The view of the Currituck sound was absolutely beautiful from anywhere in the restaurant. Definitely would recommend if you want good quality food and a nice view.

Date night during the week of July 4th and it was a great spot. The views were stunning and the overall ambiance was fun but nice enough for a date. Loved the goat cheese hushpuppies but the real winner was the crab cake. Absolutely delicious with the creamy succotash. Topped it off with the key lime pie which was perfect for 2 people to share. Definitely would return if back in the OBX

Not much to say other than everything here is great from the informal downstairs outdoor seating with incredible sunset views to the upstairs casual and fine dining options. Everything is delicious and all of the staff are wonderful! Came three times and the one week that we were here😘

We went there for my brother & sister-in-law's anniversary. We had an enjoyable experience there before so decided to return. We called the day of to get a reservation and they were pretty booked, but the very kind reservationist got us a table on the porch. The view is beautiful! Food was good as well, although I remember our last visit with it being 5-star. Service could have been better. Our waiter kept forgetting things, but he was very nice. Overall, a pleasurable experience.

Very good. Huge variety to choose from. Apps and meals were very tasty. Deserts were great and the service was nice.

Awesome experience. Great crew! Registering was easy. Getting the waiver signed was easy as well. Site is very nice, clean, and amazing gift shop. The boat was clean, neat, and organized. Instructions were very easy to follow. We called 3 different places in Duck; these were the only guys still running a parasailing boat. Ironically, we called them first, and then ended up registering through their website. It meant we had to head home later than we originally intended, but that all worked out, and this made it very much worth it!!

First time parasailing and it was absolutely amazing. Charlotte, Sean, and Rodney made sure we were comfortable, safe and took a large interest in our experience making sure it was great from start to finish. We will def make this an annual tradition.

We had the best time parasailing! I highly recommend this adventure with this company. Rodney was fun and friendly as he shuttled us out to meet Sean and Josh on the parasailing boat. They were informative and thorough so we knew we were in great hands, but they were also a lot of fun and made the experience so enjoyable!

Easy booking online. Friendly and helpful staff. Our session got delayed by about an hour due to traffic, but we still were given our full ride time! Vehicles operated smoothly--no issues. A staff member goes out with you just in case you need anything. Life jackets, and a cubbies for shoes were provided. They will even store your keys/phone behind the desk while you're out riding! The ride area is basically just a big square space in the bay. Would have been nice if we could "travel" and explore a bit more, but I get why they probably can't do that. Still, plenty of room to zip around, and go fast. Our family had three watercraft out there at once and it never felt crowded. Kids had a lot of fun.

Had a great time sailing with my son. His first time. Fun staff made the orientation informative and easy and we were off enjoying our time on the water. Good equipment and overall fun experience that we will do again hopefully.

Had the most amazing time. Rented a pontoon encoded and the front desk really helped us maximize our time and find an appropriate boat size for our party. Lena gave us the most thorough instructions and was so genuine and warm. Had a blast prices were reasonable and the boat was was kept and clean. The staff is the best part all super helpful and genuine. Cya next summer

What an incredible experience!! We did a 2-hour catamaran trip with Captain Rob and first mate Erin, who gave us such an incredible experience. We were in town for a bachelorette & Erin made great recommendations for some night life activities. They were both super attentive & engaging with our crew. Erin even helped pose our bride for some cute photos on the boat. 10/10 would recommend and will be taking another catamaran when I’m back in Corolla!

Yummy drinks and beautiful location! Wasn’t a big fan of the mahi taco (it had too much slaw for me and I’m also not the biggest seafood eater but I gotta try it when I’m at the beach) but I enjoyed the chips and salsa! Definitely will visit again

The family of four was hangry and we wanted tacos. When we arrived at the boardwalk and saw that the atmosphere was more bar than restaurant (small children were in tow) we almost changed our minds. MAN, were we glad that we did not. We all ponied up on the cool wooden stools (kids loved them, and the couple of tables were taken by others eating and non-customer). We ordered WAY too much food and it was AWESOME. The chicken taco was simple, but the flavor was killer. The queso dip just had something different that made it so good. The crab pizza may have been one of the best things I ate on our entire trip. Not to forget the view is 10stars. Props to you CoastalCantina. I hope lots of people try the food. This is a SPOT.

Great food here and pretty views! My kids love the chicken tacos and salsa with chips. My hubby and I shared a pork burrito bowl, which was good. I loved the red sangria and frozen margarita with pina colada mix. Great music playing and not too pricey for our family of 6. We’ve been twice and liked both times!

Went to Coastal Cantina last year and it was so good we just came back this week! Food is good, especially the queso and salsa. They have outdoor seating so we bring our dog with us. It’s seat yourself and order at the bar but they bring the food out to you. Blackberry Cider is SO good please tell me what brand it is!!!!

Solid option for families and anyone looking for a low key meal with reasonable prices. Would come again

Pretty basic beach pizza nothing special. Super basic makes the kids happy and the adults will survive. Ordered 3 large. Cheese, peperoni, and Hawaiian. Was over 60 bucks which is steep but maybe normal for June in Duck. But all in all belly's are full and kids are happy and went to sleep. See pics and videos. Let me know what you think?

Stopped on the way home from Corolla and it was perfect! We had a toddler with us and the buffet was perfect for getting in and eating and then back on the road! We ate on the patio and it was so cute! No waiting around with a restless toddler while food cooked was worth so much to us! Great pizza and fries, and very reasonable! Will make it a tradition to stop!

Tried to order delivery to the Hampton Inn at 5 pm. They were out 1.5 hours for delivery so we drove to them and got our salad & 2 pizzas in 20 minutes. Clean store front but the prep area didn't look to clean. Sign up says no subs.?? They are on the menu and I was considering one. Just one person in the store making pizza and one delivery driver. Pizza was just ok. Thick soft crust (preference is thin) that was a bit soggy. $45.00 is very expensive for what we got. *Note this review was completed without using ridiculous undiscriptive terms like out-of-bounds, OMG, on point, awesome, the bomb, yummy, delish, to die for, do your self a favor, trust me, or kids emojis etc.. Yum! Pizza was delicious, the delivery time also was pretty quick. I would recommend the garlic cheese bread and the pepperoni with bacon, as well as the pepperoni with ground beef

Very very delicious! Family Greek salad, Chicken "duck" Tenders, and The Works pizza were fantastic. I'm not a big pizza person, but it was so good , I ate beyond my capacity.

Stopped in to check out Duck pizza for a quick lunch. A margarita pizza is typically our go-to and we were not disappointed. The crust was ‘different’ and we could not place exactly how it differed from typical pizzas. I will say-it was NOT bad at all! It was flaky and crispy! Very thin pizza and excellent customer service. As someone who has had pizza in many different places (states and countries), I wouldn’t say Duck pizza is an all time favorite, however, it is a solid option and we would return. They offered a lunch special and had both create your own options as well as tradition pizzas on their menu.

First visit was at 11:45 this morning, my husband and I split a small pizza and french fries. They were so good, we brought the rest of the family back at 5:30pm. Amazing food. Outstanding service.

We just arrived in Duck and needed some grub. Called Duck Pizza and ordered 3 XL Pizzas and some wings. It was delivered hot and flavorful. It did take time but we knew it would since it was a Sunday and many others arrived in town too. We loved it. Good pizza and wings. We would order from here again.

Came from out of town, stumbled upon this little gem of a pizza place… the pizza was maybe the best I’ve ever had. The crust is crispy but still a little chewy. Delicious!

The food here is excellent — the pizza is fresh, flavorful, and one of the best I’ve had locally. Service was also good; the staff was friendly and attentive. The only downside was the number of flies outside, which made the dining experience a little less comfortable. Hopefully, that’s something they can address because everything else about this place is great.

We love eating at Duck Pizza every time we visit Duck for vacation!! Our two families includes 9 people and they have something yummy for all of us, including our one vegan kiddo!! Love the artwork hanging on the walls and the fact that you can eat indoors or right outside on picnic tables. Fast & friendly and quite yummy! You can’t go wrong with choosing them as your pizza place while in Duck! We’ve been eating here for 7 summers and plan to keep that tradition alive for many summers to come!

I saw a promotion for Island Smoothie Cafe in Our State Magazine, so I found the eatery at my first opportunity in the area. I came specifically to try the Smoothie, BUT the options are too great to make a confident one-time selection. I tried the Caribbean Dreams since its ingredients were familiar and provided a base for comparison. The smoothie was refreshing, but the orange juice dominates too much. I will return to find a variety that makes my palette sing. I did not sample any of the food, but the cafe seemed to be a charming place to relax and enjoy nutritious food. They offer a cash pay discount, and the staff members are friendly and patient.

It was not only acai bowls that were amazing but also breakfast sandwiches, burritos or whatever we ordered. Such a clean, neat and welcoming place. We also loved the shopping mall where it is located. This place be our first choice for the breakfast whenever we come back to OBX!

Excellent all around. Great healthy food - we had 4 meals, and 2 smoothies. All were excellent, with friendly service, served fast. My daughter's acai bowl was excellent. Next time we're in the outer banks, we will be back!

I am so glad I stopped here! I so enjoyed my power bowl. All 9 of us ordered smoothies, bowls and a chicken wrap! It was fantastic. I will definitely remember this in August when we come back.

If I could give this place 100 more stars, I would. I’ve never had an Acai bowl before so on our week long vacation in Duck when my daughter and niece got one, I tried it. It was so good I had one everyday for the rest of the vacation! I am hooked!! It was fresh and delicious! Visually amazing as well. I also had their breakfast burrito and that was very good as well. Now I am back home in Chesapeake Virginia looking for a Acai bowl place that compares and I have to be honest, I have been nothing but disappointed! Do I have to open a Coastal Island Smoothies here?? I will returning to duck this weekend just for another Acai bowl! Can’t wait!!

We stayed in Duck NC for spring break of 2022 and went to Island Smoothie Cafe every day we were there. Everything we tried was delicious, and their ingredients were so fresh and of the best quality. Their açaí bowls were definitely the best I have ever had. The cafe itself was very cute and the staff was super friendly and helpful. My family was very pleased by the experience and recommend Island Smoothie Cafe to anyone in town!

This was our first time in Duck. My daughter is a smoothie enthusiast! I’m so glad we found this gem of a place, her favorite was Macho Mango smoothie and the Island bowl. 🥝🥥🍍This place puts Tropical Smoothie to shame. Highly recommend! Until next time my friend!

This place was good! The food was very delicious and they give you pretty big portions. There was no wait for a table and the service was good! You should definitely try this place if you like barbecue or sandwiches.

It's a hometown classic and one that makes out of towners feel like home. A friend recommended this place and I knew I couldn't go wrong after looking at their selection of seafood, sandwiches, and burgers — prime beach cuisine. I ordered the Duck Buster burger with sweet tea. The burger size is enormous and so good with a burger, pulled pork BBQ, onion ring and toppings to satisfy your craving. The staff was so nice and friendly making sure I got great service while waiting and browsing the mini shop inside of local craft goods. There is an outdoor seating area that's great to relax and for the summer season. I greatly appreciated the food and service, and can't wait for another Duck Buster.

The wings were really good. I would target eating inside because of the flies. Every place has flies outside during the summer so it’s not really their fault.

Stopped by for a quick lunch, it came out quick too. American cheeseburger and pulled pork sandwich with onion rings, onions rings were great fries were pretty good, pulled work was real good and the burger was well done. I’d recommend for a quick bite to eat

Used to be good, this year is not good. Brisket flavorless, pulled chicken with tendons/bones, smoked wings without crispy skin, salad with chicken with probably smallest portion of chicken I’ve ever seen (see photo). Good people and great location otherwise.

Food was great and we did take out I got the Ruben and my friend got a burger we both liked it their fries are beer battered fries and they were delicious and they give you good portion sizes. The folks working there were fast and the food came out quick though we were there off season my other friend got a salad and it was perfectly fresh. This is our second time going and we still like it and will be agoing again when we come back up. Overall it was tasty filling and good service

Service was the best part about this place. The waitress was super nice. The brisket on the other hand was tough and a bit dry. The beans were good but the Mac& cheese was at best from some frozen chunk that was thawed out with little flavor. Atmosphere was not suited for many people..... More like a lunch deli place rather than a barbecue place. Deli is not the right word for this type of restaurant.

We came for appetizers and couldn’t be happier. Brussels, calamari, ahi standing nacho, poke grilled avocado, and the bourbon shrimp.

We dined at Heart with our kids while on vacation in Duck and it was fantastic! The service was excellent and the food just as good. The ambiance was just what we were looking for - nice and relaxing, but not beach casual. The kids meals were on point - both of my kids had chicken poppers (can I get an amen for not cutting up chicken fingers?!). Main dishes were very good and a decent drink/wine menu. We will definitely return in the future.

We are regular Duck vacationers and wanted to try a new restaurant. We loved it! I ordered the local tuna entree and it was delicious. The tuna was cooked to perfection and it came with grilled asparagus and fingerling potatoes. The sauce was a perfect complement. My hubby got the scallops/ loved it, my daughter got the burger, loved it. Nice vibe if you want a more upscale dining experience for a reasonable price and great service as well. 👍😀

Took the family for our first excursion to Heart. Our party consisted of both teens and adults. We ordered an array of dishes family style since there were many items that we wanted to try. We loved every dish and left nothing on any plate! They had great beers on tap and delicious drinks-one per adult was enough as they definitely had enough alcohol in them! We will look forward to dining with them again on our next trip to the OBX.

Visited in August for a date night. We tried the Heart Tots and Blue Crab Beignets as appetizers, and the Fish & Chips and Salmon Donburi as entrees. The food was pretty good with nice portion sizes. But it seemed like the restaurant had very limited staff as they were only taking reservations and there weren't many servers. It seems like it has a family vibe, as there were many big families with young children running around, which was okay for us, but maybe not if you just want a peaceful night.

My family of 6 adults and 2 little kiddos had the best time at HEART last evening. The food was delicious all around-fresh and made from scratch to order entrees and apps, and good specialty cocktails. Service was friendly and accommodating. We would definitely go back!

Amazing place. My wife and I went there tonight on our honeymoon and even though they were busy they made us feel as if we were the most important people in the place. The food was fantastic as was the staff! The chef and pastery chef both came to our table to greet us and be sure we were enjoying ourselves. I had the coffee rubbed strip steak and my wife had ribs both were cooked to perfection. For desert we had a chocolate cake with a whipped exspesso butter cream icing that they call indulgence I believe but they should call heaven on a plate. I would give this place 10 stars out of 5 if I could I really cannot say enough good things about this restaurant!!

Great place. Very accommodating, we had 2 separate reservations for 10 people and they were able to pull two tables together so we could all sit together. All the meals were great. Most got the wellington which was amazing. The steak and chicken was great as well. The ravioli was good, but nothing amazing. Stick to the steaks, fish, and chicken. The service was also very good. I would recommend and go back.

We had my son’s wedding rehearsal dinner there in September. Jean Marc and Kara went out of their way to make everything perfect. The food was delicious and cocktails were excellent. Everyone has complimented my choice of restaurant and atmosphere. And the sunset!!! This was the perfect place! I can’t say enough about the staff that night, they were wonderful! Be sure and go to the Paper Canoe if you get a chance!

A magical dining experience on the waterfront of the Currituck Sound. We arrived in time to watch the sunset with mocktails on the flower-adorned deck—absolutely stunning. The only reservation available was a 9 PM spot at the bar, which worked out perfectly. The service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. We started with the duck confit egg rolls and grilled romaine with burrata—both delicious. For entrées, we chose the seafood pithivier and beef Wellington, each encased in a perfectly flaky pastry and bursting with flavor. We finished with their unique take on key lime pie—light, tangy, and delightful. A truly enjoyable late-night dinner

This was the coziest restaurant with a fancy feel!! I ordered the kids fillet it was charred to perfection and the veggies with fries were supreme! We had a very sweet server! Very good restaurant for any family visiting corolla/Duck! 💗

All of our food was superbly stunning in appearance and taste. Ate at the bar and enjoyed the bartender's banter and dry sense of humor! Crab dip, fried oysters, mocktails, scallops, prime filet wellington-best of all worlds!! An unforgettable culinary experience for sure!

Food was fantastic! We sat at the bar, service was great. Shrimp and grits, incredible, husband had the fish Oscar (sea bass) amazing. And get the crème brûlée and the piggy piggy! We’ll be back next time we are in town.

WONDERFUL! My husband and I came to the Paper Canoe for a last minute date night and we both loved this restaurant. We stopped by without a reservation but they were able to get us a table. ALL of the staff were incredibly kind and friendly. While we waited for our table to get ready they served us cocktails on the patio while we watched the sunset. The food came out quickly, piping hot, and cooked perfectly. We loved the French inspiration and unique specials. We highly recommend the Here Piggy, Piggy cocktail, crème brûlée, the Wild Catch, and Seafood Pithivier. We will definitely be back and will recommend the Paper Canoe to our friends visiting Duck!

Great options for food and shops. Lovely in the off season although some shops are closed. Still a great place to walk and take in some sights. Also has 4 Tesla Destination Chargers if you need some juice.

4/27/25 - Cute little shopping center. Lots of little boutique stores. The art gallery, dazzles, and dog store, outer barks was my favorite.

Fun place to shop and walk. I went before Christmas and got some great gifts and the decorations were pretty.

Charming, just absolutely charming. It's fun just to travel the boardwalk and just to take in the wonderful view of the sound, though you'll want to be ready for the good breeze that comes off the water. If you peek into any of the shops or restaurants you'll find people ready to welcome you in and chat your ear off about both the area and what's for sale. It's easy to spend and hour or more just browsing -- and I can't recommend it enough for Tesla drivers since that's more than enough time to give your ride a little snack at the destination chargers here (4 charging spots available). We'll definitely swing by this way again next time we're in Duck, and maybe we'll catch one of those beautiful sunsets over the water. P.S. There are some wonderfully clean bathrooms here that evoke a sort of "Harry Potter" toilet under the stairs feel! I

Nestled along the tranquil Currituck Sound, the waterfront shops in Duck, NC offer a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle. "Quaint" and "quiet" are truly the operative words here, creating an atmosphere that encourages leisurely Browse and genuine relaxation. I loved the coffee and books shop located in a historic spot.

Each shop is filled with grossly overpriced knick-knacks, tired decor, and a distinct absence of anything remotely worth buying. Like a bizarre social experiment. How many overdressed, self important shoppers can flock to subpar shops with nothing to offer? Seagulls with a dress code. The only redeeming quality is the boardwalk itself.

Neat little shop but very expensive. Tried some of the candy and wasn’t overly impressed as it was just alright.

Go to place when I'm craving some sweets. Good selection and the gummies are always fresh with a wide variety! If your in duck craving some candy would recommend this place!

Nice spot. Many flavors of taffy. Was looking for more homemade chocolates but they only had what looked like mass produced truffles. The other items in the store were a bit pricy for candy you can buy at the grocery store (nerds rope, etc). Staff was kind but not very attentive. They spent a good deal of time chatting/gossiping behind the counter.

Candy and Corks is a great candy store with all of your old favorites, a great selection of salt water taffy and gourmet chocolates. There are wines and nut mixes. Everything is arranged attractively. The owner is super nice and helpful!

Darling little shop, but unfortunately, quite rude. My son and his three friends (and one adult sister) made purchases and when one of the boys began to open his purchase- already paid for- he was sharply reprimanded by the woman working there. The boys were then told to leave immediately or she was going to call the police. The boys had no idea what the problem was. One of them even asked what the problem was, to which she kept replying to leave and or she would call the police. The boys left and will not return, a shame given how much time we spend in Duck, but this was a lesson learned in “you can vote with your dollars.” For my husband and I, there are enough other places in town with a nice wine selection; Tommy’s, Winks, etc. One of the boys recorded the interaction, and it was clear they were not instigating a problem. Edited now that I see the owner’s lovely response. Clearly this owner’s poor attitude is an ongoing issue, as other reviews have noted. We continue to patronize other options in Duck. Oh, and the boys you mentioned? They’re doing fantastic, thank you. All successful young men, off to college with merit and service scholarships.

Super cute store but the woman working (I believe the owner based on my husband’s convo) was so short with him. He was trying to make light convo. I nearly asked my husband to put down the bag of jelly beans we were about to purchase, but he kept chatting to be nice. Maybe a bad day? Maybe because my 4 year old was with us and he’s learning “no touching”? but sheesh it certainly would help business to have better customer service. I see I’m not alone in my experience based on other reviews. So unfortunate for this beautiful and family-oriented community. Avoiding this place in future visits. Adding an edit to make note of the owner's response to this review. No apology, lack of accountability for the encounter and condescending tone. This is not how you acknowledge a negative review. From other reviews on similar encounters as mine, maybe the owner should not be in a customer service role. Very unfortunate.

It was a little hard to find at first but we just needed to walk further on the boardwalk. Glad we stopped in. The woman who helped us was knowledgeable and pleasant. We enjoyed the selection of wine and candy. We picked up some local wines for us and some unique candy for our kids.

I really loved stopping by this shop as they have great quality t-shirts and hats for souvenirs. I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name that was working here but he gave me a guide with a map showing all of the towns in OBX as this was my first time visiting the area, which was super kind. Do yourselves a favor and skip Wings, come here instead for your souvenirs.

We came in for a kite and were pleasantly surprised by how helpful and knowledgeable the man working was. He walked us through several options for kites and we are very happy with the one we ended up with. Lots of fun stuff in this shop but mostly impressed with the man working (sorry we didn’t get his name!).

Great kites, great info, great attitude... I had lots of questions, all were answered honestly and knowledgeably. I didn't buy a kite today - I did buy three last year - but even after it was obvious I wasn't a serious buyer today I was still treated like I had bought their best kite. Definitely check them out when you are serious about getting a really good kite. Every trip to Duck we make, generally one or two a year, I check out this store and have not been disappointed, yet. There are lots of toys -- from relatively sophisticated radio controlled toys to simple rubber band launchers. Everyone continues to treat me very woll here, even when I visit daily for a few days.

Purchased a Prism Kite .. packs up easily into the most compact, portable, excellent kite!

Logan was so helpful and answered all our questions about picking out kites for my nieces and nephews. We bought 3 kites. Logan also gave us tips & tricks to fly them. He made it so easy for us to be successful kite fliers.

Overpriced toys and kites. Had a few simple questions as I was looking for some items for my grandson and my eyes are not the best, but the staff was super rude and seemed as though the did not want to be bothered. Would not return.

Customer service excellence still exists!!! We are making a last minute trip to the OBX trying to squeeze the last fun out of Summer with our 3 kids. The 12 and 10 yr old boys have done camps and private lessons skimboarding but the little guy needs his own board. I've been scrambling and decided to call and ask about availability. These guys are great! I've rented boards from them in the past and it's always been a great experience. Last night, I asked if they had a different size of a particular shirt. The manager tracked it down at a different store, and is having it shipped to Duck so I can pick it up - all while calling/texting me to keep me updated. Amazing customer service!

Such a fun store with a lot of great merch! The customer service here was seriously the best I’ve ever had at ANY store across the country. Macey went above and beyond to get a hat I had wanted, but was out of stock and at another one of their stores. She did the most and got the hat for me and delivered it to me herself at my hotel. This says everything you need to know about this store and their employees! The best store in the Outer Banks!

The manager, Macey, was so pleasant & helpful. There were a few other shoppers in the store and she took time for each person, even giving my niece advice about bathing suits. We were there around closing time but she didn’t rush us at all. We definitely enjoyed shopping at Kitty Hawk Kites. The store had so much great merchandise & a great manager.

Incredible! This is the perfect place for an evening walk to watch the sunset. There are lots of restaurants and shops as well. We even saw an otter swimming in the water below!

My family is here From out of town and we came to get take out with it pouring outside. The store is a small window where the guy was working solo. Even being noticeably busy, he was extremely nice and helpful with the menu (I wasn't sure how much food I should get for 10 people). Our large food order took about 25 minutes and it was fantastic. The chicken portions are great. the tenders are juicy and not all breading like some places. It's also well seasoned and packed with flavor. The fries and Mac were awesome as well and he hooked us up with plenty of dipping sauces. Will definitely make this our takeout spot when we come back for vacation.

This place is simply a walk up window (there's no atmosphere) where you place an order for 2 or more pieces of chicken, fries or Mac n cheese and coleslaw combo. Only one thing to rate at this place and that's the fried chicken. Best I ever had. Crunchy well seasoned coating, tender juicy meat. So good. If you like fried chicken, go there. Special mention Mac n cheese, also delicious.

We purchased 4 8piece chickens,coleslaw, mac & cheese & fries. I ordered ahead of time for pickup later that day. Guy working the front was super helpful and friendly! Chicken was delicious! Huge pieces! Had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. Coleslaw and fries were yummy. The mac & cheese was cold & too creamy. We all agreed it would be better if baked.

From up north and on vacation in OBX — one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. Store is run by one young gentleman as cook/owner and the quality shows. I wish I could have eaten it in more bites but it was so good. Batter was sensational, chicken was cooked perfectly, pickles on side and added and the Cookshak sauce was the topper. All around 10/10 for a full belly for under $10. Well done, Sir. Keep doing what you’re doing!

Simply the best fried chicken I have ever had (sorry, Memaw). The tenders are cooked perfectly so they are juicy and flavorful. The coating has just the perfect amount of spice. Also, their house made ranch is zippy and creamy, not gloppy. It's perfect for dipping tenders. You need to eat here. Wow.

Overall, the experience here was alright. The chicken and coating were both a bit over cooked and chewy (I appreciate it not being under cooked). The sides were disappointing: mac & cheese with not much flavor and the fries were soggy. It's possible this could have just been an off day.

The Crab Rangoons? I’ll think about them for the rest of my life. Absolutely heavenly, beautifully presented and INSANELY delicious! I am not someone who typically enjoys sashimi, but I was so pleasantly surprised and loved every option the chef had chosen. Amazing service, absolutely stunning & cozy interior!

First time to OBX—I love visiting local restaurants anywhere I go, and this one did not disappoint. Flavors were on point, and the service was wonderful. My favorite part? The squid actually included TENTACLES (not just rings). Side note: We couldn’t see the restaurant from the main drag. We had to park and then take a little walk through the cute village there, but it was totally worth it!

The food was absolutely amazing. Our servers gave us amazing menu recommendations and were patient with our questions. The flavors were unbelievable and the spice was perfect. I had the pad thai, but I also sampled the tamago yaki, and Khao soi. I tried the Thai Tea and it is one of the best drinks I've ever had (better than Starbucks). I would absolutely recommend going here, but be warned you will be ruined for any other Thai food.

Excellent sushi in OBX (and really anywhere). The quality was great and so was the service. We tried hamachi carpaccio, two rolls, and the local tuna nigiri special. If local tuna is available, get this! It was outstanding. Hamachi carpaccio is a must as well. The rolls were tasty too, and one came with local crab meat. We didn’t explore too much of the Thai side of the menu, but did have a zippy papaya salad that brought the heat in the best of ways. Make sure you stop here on your next trip; I know we will! (Wear bug spray if sitting on the patio)

went in last night as a walk in party of 5 and they were able to accommodate us within ten minutes with a peaceful table outside! amazing sushi and we will definitely be back again for some more thai food. and from the looks of it, they have a pretty good take out business which we will keep in mind for a big family night!

I give this place a solid 4.5 stars. Our waitress was sweet. The only downside was the wait for our rolls, but to be fair, there were only two people making them, so I completely understand why it took a little longer. That said, the food was 100% worth the wait. I eat sushi every week, and I’ll admit I didn’t have super high expectations—how good could sushi be on the Outer Banks? Well, I was wrong. The rolls were absolutely delicious. The calamari appetizer was tasty with a great sauce, and every roll our table ordered was great. My favorites were the Sumo A5, Hotty Hotty, and Heart Attack rolls. Not sure when I’ll be back to OBX, but when I am, this restaurant will be a must stop.

We used to love Bangkok Thai when we lived in the area, and it’s such a treat to come back after all these years. Yall never let us down♥️ everything is just as great as we remember+ Shaw , our server was really friendly. Hands down, Bangkok Thai is still one of the best!👍

This is a wonderful shopping center with a vast array of shops and restaurants. There are shops inside and outside, so you don't really glean the size and number of places you can visit. You can easily spend all day here.

Stopped into the Cotton Gin for some "Jeep" items for my sister. Then walked through the rest of the shops and checked out the Duck Dive Bar in the back. Pretty cool!

We love that shopping plaza. There are a lot of different shops. Our favorites are island bookstore, treehouse coffeeshop (they have a great breakfast too), and Hearts restaurant (we really enjoyed bubble and fry combo that they have sometimes)
