Located in Veracruz City, the Acuario de Veracruz is a sprawling aquarium that offers an immersive journey into the wonders of the undersea world. It features various marine life exhibits, including sharks, dolphins, penguins, and tropical fish. With over 7 million liters of saltwater and more than 250 species on display, it is considered the most important and largest aquarium in Mexico and Latin America.
One the best aquariums around the world I visited. The shark diving was excellent and loved it all the way . The picture you take with the dolphin 🐬 kissing on your cheek is just ossum. We missed to get the tickets for penguin 🐧 play time where you can play with penguin 🐧 in personal time of around 30 minutes. Would love to do that on my next visit to it .

A lovely experience at the Aquarium today!
It’s bigger than I expected with a lot of rooms and spaces for different species. I went on a weekday around 3pm and it was pretty empty. Lovely to walk around and learn about marine life.
There’s bathrooms available and a foodcourt right outside the exit once you are done with some little stores.
The aquarium is medium-sized. All is display only. They have plenty of souvenir stores inside. They DO NOT have a dolphin show or penguin show. Some of the locals that work around the area claim that they do. So, do not be fooled.
I was visited before but now is more beautiful. Than before we love it
Acuario de Veracruz is an amazing experience! The variety of marine life is incredible, and the exhibits are both educational and visually stunning. It’s a perfect spot for families and anyone who loves sea creatures. Highly recommend visiting!

Went in to get out of the heat. It was bigger than what we expected. They have a lot of interesting fish and aquatic animals. There are doing some construction so some exhibits were closed.

Plaza Acuario Veracruz is a popular tourist destination offering entertainment for the whole family. The main attraction is a large aquarium showcasing the marine life of Veracruz, including manatees, dolphins, sharks, exotic fish, and micro marine life. Visitors can also explore a section featuring birds and exotic fauna from the Los Tuxtlas jungle.
Love it here. On the first or second Tuesday of the month, entrance is free you have to buy tickets beforehand online otherwise you will be paying the painful full price.

The aquarium was amazing. We also went to the wax museum and Ripley's museum. It was well worth it.
Perfect place to buy some gifts and souvenirs
Arguably one of the best aquarium in Mexico, huge variety of sea creatures, beautiful parrots, and top of all living penguin in an Aquarium, astonishingly surprised to see penguins once in a life time experience. Really worth a visit.

They have shops, restaurants, the aquarium is here, Ripley's believe it or not, the wax museum and others. The issue is that they need to lower the AC. It is HOT!

Playa Villa Del Mar is a coastal strip with an abundance of vendors, restaurants, bars and water sports activities such as jet skiing. It is located at a convenient walking distance from the Veracruz Aquarium and El Malecon. The area offers an array of local seafood dishes for main meals while many vendors provide tourists with souvenirs to take back home. The atmosphere is friendly, enjoyable and safe for families to take late night strolls as people skate or ride bikes.
Perfect beach if you want to relax or do activities. Umbrellas are well priced for a day. Food is really close by. Its kid friendly water was clear and clean!

No place to just put your towel, whole beach is occupied with chairs of the nearby restaurants. And they scam you promising the table is free if you buy a drink from them, which is not true, they will force you to pay for it later anyway.
Also the sellers bother you literally every minute by offering something.

It's pretty calm but there are garbage on the beach. It needs to be cleaned. The view is amazing you can see the aquarium and Sacrificio's Island but the trash around the coast is disgusting

Walking distance from the veracruz Aquarium and El Malecon. LOTS of local restaurants to choose from main meals are usually sea food. Many local vendors to purchase souvenirs from. Friendly service.

We came to visit with my husband to go leave off my father in law at the bus route, and it was a beauty to see this area. I would definitely come back to visit.

Great place to walk around, a lot of history. Take the tour in the busses. Make sure you pay your parking or they will put a boot in your car and you will have to pay a ticket

Our very first time here .El Malecon del Puerto de Veracruz. Was so full of life lots of little stands , people selling all kids of things... you can walk, shop drink and see all the things the sell. I bought a couple of things , clothes, coffee mug.. I collect coffee mugs from the places I go. When you take a picture at the sign that says Veracruz, people will take your picture and make a key chain and a portrait to see if you want to buy it, you don't have too. We got to see a the ships sailing and the ones ones coming into the port. It was pretty hot and humid 😫 , I guess because we were by the sea.🌊

Hotel Emporio Veracruz is an elegant and modern hotel offering bright rooms, three restaurants, and two bars. The hotel features three pools, a gym, and a playground for children. While some noise from the street was noticeable in the rooms, they were soundproof enough to ensure a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel's proximity to tourist attractions such as San Juan de Ulua Castle and the Naval Museum of Mexico makes it an ideal choice for exploring the area on foot.
Excellent hotel, in a well maintained state, at a superb location by the Malecon, at a walking distance from nice restaurants , the Zócalo, the aquarium, the beach, etc.
Rooms are very nice and clean, all with A/C and large enough. The three pools are very clean and warm (there is one that's under a roof for windy/rainy days) and it is a big enough to host all guests. They are very safe for kids. You can eat and drink by the pools.
Personnel is very kind and professional.

The experience with reservations staff eliminates the appeal of coming here. When calling via phone, someone does answer right away, but after getting transferred to reservations, I am either hung up on, or no one answers. This is with calling several times on Wednesday and Thursday, during normal business hours. Additionally, the staff on the Whatsapp channel does not respond, either.
With regards to the rooms, my experience has been they are clean, with above average appeal for the area. The main restaurant is definitely the high point of this establishment. However, even with these high marks, the reservations staff experience is enough to deter me from another stay AND provide me the motivation to warn anyone else before deciding to come here. Think about that carefully if you are considering staying here.
Horrible customer service. Their staff is friendly but highly inefficient. The location is good if you want to stay Downtown, but I think Boca del Rio is better if you are a tourist.
Right above and directly connected to the malecon boardwalk, this hotel has secure parking across the street, beautiful views of the port, great food options (highly recommend the club rooms with sky lounge breakfast).

Location was great but front desk people not so great at night. Especially with no security. Some one tried to open my room door while I was there with my daughter's. Notify the night people but they never said anything back the next day !
We were happy with the rooms which were clean and comfortable.They hava a good harbour view and very quiet ACs.
While the food in the restaurant was ok the.service was poor. Dishes were missed and drinks delivered haphazardly, sometimes after we finished eating. You are better off dining out.
Stayed for 3 nights, rooms were clean nice view to the ocean, lots of things going around it, walking distance to all the local stores,restaurants etc.
Unfortunately, this is really a 3 star hotel that pretends to be a 5 star hotel. The room’s toilet made a very loud noise every minute which required the water to be turned off when not in use. The refrigerator did not work at all. While the three pools are nice, it would be better if they provided dedicated pool towels instead of requiring the use of the room towels.
The restaurant was mediocre for lunch. The overall location is nice with a good view on the balcony of the city and the port/ships. Service is very friendly throughout the hotel.
The price in dollars per night is quite good and I’m sure the hotel is one of the best in the area, but it is not 5 stars.

Restaurante Che Tango is a lively and rustic place that serves empanadas, salads, and Argentinian-style steaks. While some customers were disappointed with the lack of sides and small portions, others had an excellent experience with private dining and a variety of delicious dishes. The restaurant is praised for its upscale service, fantastic meals prepared right next to the table, and one of the best flans ever tasted. Overall, it offers excellent food and great service for an enjoyable dining experience.
When I say this place is everything...I mean... EVERYTHING! The main course was a stuffed fish filet (robalo or sargent fish) with mushrooms, shrimp, oysters, cheese and topped with a hollandaise sauce.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
If you're ever in this area, you will not be disappointed! The menu item is called Filete Relleno Tango (stuffed fish).

This is the first nice restaurant I took my wife to when I met her in mexico. I was so lucky it is really good food really good menu very nice stuff. Some of the staff speak English there is an English menu. Enough English to take care of the bill to order and to enjoy the evening it is a wonderful place I highly recommended. Every time we're in Veracruz my wife wants to eat there. We are from Xalapa. We spent about 500 pesos but bear in mind this is drinks starters soup or salad and a main course meal such as steak.
An authentic Argentinian steak house. Twenty six years of tradition and uninterrupted service and consistency cannot be disregarded at Che Tango. Mollejas are a must as well as the tango salad.
We ordered a vacio and it was perfectly cooked served on an iron cast heated perfectly only to keep the warmth of the beef cut without interfering on the cooking point requested. Don’t miss the soufflé chips and don’t forget to congratulate the captain on his 19th year of service!
To be honest I was pretty disappointed with my experience here. I asked what the steaks come with and was told onions etc but when it came it was just a steak with nothing else. Thankfully I ordered a side of fries but even that was really small so I literally just had a plain steak with a few chips. Also at no point did anyone come to check how I was getting on with everything, even though the restaurant was basically empty and they had plenty of staff. Overall it was ok but considering the price I paid by myself (over mxn $1,000) the service wasn't that great and the food really wasn't particularly special. Unfortunately the staff seemed much more interested in the football that was all over the TVs than attending to their customers.

This place is not as good as you think, portions seem very limited and they seem very stingy when you ask them to serve you more water or bring you more bread, they are not attentive. This was my first time coming here I was extremely disappointed coming from far away.
Stylish ambient to enjoy a perfectly grilled delicious meat
Wonderful little restaurant. Excellent service. We were there for a small family gathering and were sat in a private room.
The food: starter was a choice of empanada- delicious! Followed by tortilla soup or cream of celery. Then our table was served three platters of different cuts of steak and sausage. Each platter had the meat cooked to a different temperature so as to please all tastes.
Overall we really enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend!
A hidden gem...happened to come across this restaurant with upscale service. Loved the way they prepared our food right next to us! Our meals were fantastic and their flan is one of the best I've ever had. Met the owner, very well mannered and personable. Best restaurant experience on this trip!! So glad we parked further away from the beach :)

Mardel is a spacious restaurant located on the beach, offering a charming dining experience with wraparound windows and a section built on stilts over the sea. This is a place to visit, we came for breakfast, as you come in, you see that the view to the sea is unique, the staff is very kind from the moment they welcome you. The waiters are quite helpful in answering any questions about the menu, we tried the “ Gorda Dulce with chicharron souce and the Gorda Negra with chicken and chorizo “ , both dishes were delicious. The ingredients are fresh and natural organic , The atmosphere is friendly and families are welcome. The restaurant has AC and windows all over to see the sea. Definitely a place to visit.

I celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday here last year while on vacation, and we were absolutely satisfied. The service was excellent, the food was incredibly fresh and delicious, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate. The pictures speak for themselves, and I would come back anytime!
If you only go to one restaurant in Veracruz, make it Mardel. The restaurant specializes in a Farm-to-Table and Port-to-Table experience, resulting in a wonderful fusion cuisine with charming Mexican roots and international flairs. During my 4 weeks of travels in Mexico, my girlfriend and I often dreamed that exactly this is what Mexican cuisine could be. Abraham is a cook of whom we will hear more in the future.
The atmosphere is wonderful, the service is great, and just being greeted with warm, rich sourdough bread is a treat. Simple, honest, satisfying.
There are few restaurants that I can recommend as much as I recommend this one.

El Llagar is a delightful culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Nestled within a hotel right on the beach, this restaurant offers a fantastic selection of Spanish cuisine that has garnered rave reviews from visitors. While some dishes like the chorizo con huevos omelet may be decent, others such as the 'costilla de res horneada' and 'la paella' are simply outstanding.
Excellent Spanish restaurant in Veracruz. The squid and the ribs were sensational and there was excellent all round service. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We had two dishes there. The sepia en la plancha was good but quite expensive, for 350 pesos and the paella marinera, that shows the price for 1 person but they'll charge you the double because they only make for two (225,00 x 2) which makes a sort of misunderstanding. Anyway the paella looked nice but it didn't have much flavor nor taste. The shrimps' heads were a bit dark, that was because of too much preservative. The mussels were tiny and no taste whatsoever. Very few small pieces of fish, and no taste. Service was ok.

We came here through recommendations. But it’s quite disappointing. We ordered a soup, ceviche and paella.
Ceviche is a bit different from what we have had before but maybe it’s a new thing we didn’t know. So we will say it’s okay.
The clams and mussels in the paella are disappointing, which made the whole dish taste bad.
What made it worse is that the meal was not cheap either. Almost NYC price I’d say but I had much better paella with the prices.
I ordered the braised beef ribs ,the plate came with two pieces one of them was tasty but the other taste old and dry. I also order a side of rice and I paid a 750 which I think was overpriced.
Although the Cepia a la plancha was well prepared and delicious, we were very disappointed with the tasteless parrilla marinera. The price was exorbitant, the shrimps were over treated with preservatives, clams tasteless. Oh... By the way, they present the parrilla price per person, but only make it for two at least, we felt cheated....
Best food I've ever had in a long time, a bit expensive but so worth it. If you're planning on going make sure you call for a reservation hours before because it gets packed especially on the weekends. The "costilla de res horneada" It's amazing "la paella" it's so good, for desserts "helado de leche de cabra" best I've ever had. Overall one of the best I've ever attended. It's a major go!

For day 2, we recommend exploring the west side side of town. Start the day off with Zócalo de Veracruz, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to San Juan de Ulúa. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

We visited Zócalo de Veracruz a couple of times when we stayed in Veracruz. The architecture is really lovely and there is a nice local vibe. One night there was a band and people dancing in the square. Great spot to enjoy the historical centre.

Beautiful and relaxing little plaza in the heart of historic Veracruz. The church is quite and sobering. There are 3 hotels within sight of the central fountain, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and street vendors to chose from when the appetite hits.
Walking distance from the Malecón, a couple of 200 year old restaurants, and the port itself.
Recommended to wind down and recover some energies!

Mexico Naval Museum, located in a former naval academy, is a high-tech museum that provides an immersive experience into Mexico's maritime history. Really well done exhibits that tell much of the important history of Mexico through its many naval battles. Unfortunately only in Spanish with no English audio guide, so had to make a lot of use of google translate.

We went here on a Wednesday when the entrance is free. Overall it was an interesting couple of hours. Lots of exhibits, some are interactive like the ship bridge simulator - which my husband enjoyed playing.
The bathrooms lacked soap. There is a cafe.
First time coming out here, loved the museum has a lot of historical relics and artifacts. Highly recommend it.
A must-visit museum while in Veracruz. The entrance fee was 30 pesos with the Inapam discount. The audio guide is very helpful in your tour of the museum. The price to rent the guide is 40 pesos or 25 pesos with the Inapam discount.
This is well worth a visit if you are in Veracruz even if you are not a military/history buff. A very well presented museum, with lots to see.
Most helpful young man gave me
infomation in English. This is a well run aquarium where the birds and the sea creatures and dolphins are cared for so well. Loved my visit there today. The dolphin show was great and the instructors showed so much passion for their dolphins. An awesome experience.
Very big, beautiful museum of the port history, wars to defend Mexico, and the major characters of history. There are interactive technology displays and a childrens area. Everything is in Spanish. I was told by my local travel partner we would have to hire our own local tour guide for English explanation, so I am not sure if English audio, brochures, or assistance is available. You could easily spend 2 hours.
The Museum is worth the visit, the buiding and items that are in exposition are awesome and full of history. I would definitely recommend it.

This place is a “must visit” place if you are a tourist. It is typical of many Mexican indoor markets but this one has an amazing variety. This place seems to buzz with energy and commerce. A very fun place to visit.

Mercado Hidalgo is a must stop while visiting El Puerto de Veracruz, plenty of places to eat, from tacos, tortas, seafood cocktails plus a great variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, pets etc.The place need a new remodeling it's almost exactly the same as over 30 years ago withe the exception of the meat department.
If you're not used to the smell of blood stay away form the meat/fish/poultry section.
Massive market where you can find literally anything. A must for any visitors to veracruz. Give yourself at least two hours because you will get lost jajaja

San Juan de Ulúa is a 16th-century fortress complex located on an island in Veracruz State. It has been transformed into a museum offering guided tours. The fortress was originally built to defend Veracruz from pirates and later served as a national defense bastion and a prison for prominent figures. The region is also known for its rich cultural heritage, including the Olmec civilization.
Quite interesting fort! Very well preserved and with lots of history. It may require an hour and half to visit it. You’ll be under the sun most time, so be prepared. Totally worth to visit!

Place used to have an amazing scenic view to get there. Unfortunately the place is now surrounded by walls, factories and just to get there is 20 min more to your tour. No signs to know more about the place and very reduced parking. Is not worth doing more than once
It is good place to visit if you go to Malecon de Veracruz, you can buy a hat ($100mx), an umbrella ($100) and glasses ($100mx) in the entrance; also you can contract a visitor guide to get a best experience(which cost is around $400MX per 6 persons).
Access cost for San Juan de Ulua is $100MX.
We were not told ahead of time, but you must leave all food and drinks (other than water) in the ferry. Any candy. And the snacks and drinks purchased on the ferry as well. Unfortunately, my friend left her bag with candies just purchased and it went missing. Lots of walking involved. I suggest paying for the guided tour, very informative.
This is a great historical place to visit. It's a drive from the city so take a taxi or other transportation vehicle. Restrooms are available. Only water is allowed inside the fort not any flavored waters. Recommended to go early as it gets hot later in the day. There are guides available outside of the fort.
At least 450 years old, the existence of this fort predates the founding of Boston.
The architecture corresponds to the military models of the time. It might not be as well preserved as other castle/forts in the Caribbean, but it certainly is worth your visit. I have 2 small children, and we found plenty to enjoy as a family in our 2 hour-long visit.
You can hire private tour guides at the entrance, but there is also plenty of information online to inform you as you search its many nooks and crannies.
It's well worth the 60 pesos entry fee.
Very interesting place. Tickets are around $85 pesos per adult. I recommend getting a tour guide (our charged $50 additional per person) to tell you the story. It is incredible how much has happened here. We took a trolley from the artisan market and paid $100 round trip per person. Everything is outside so consider sunblock, a hat and water.
Great historic fort with a lot to see. A pity that it's been allowed to degrade so much. Still, there seems to be a lot of work going into renovations of at least the core structures. Hopefully when I come back I can view this historic treasure in it's full glory. Definitely worth a visit. I would recommend the guided tour as well, there are a few English speaking guides.

Right in the heart of town, at the Zocalo.. the whole plaza at the zocalo becomes live when the sun goes down. Live music with different bands and marimbas playing your songs.

The restaurant was dirty (all tables with food remnants on and under them), the service incredibly rude (constantly walking away, ignoring orders or interruptions), and the food simply dreadful and disgusting. In the end, I had it packed to go and gave it to a homeless person, but even then, I felt bad. I genuinely can't express it in nicer words.
First stop in Veracruz, México for us (have been in Mexico for 6 weeks)... Ordered a beer, a wine and a guacamole while we perused the menu ...
* Guac delivered, piled deep on plate with 8-10 chips max.

* Taste was not there... Didn't seem like guacamole even in the worst state side restaurant
We both assumed that a Costco sized can was opened in the morning and we were there at 7:00 pm.
We paid what we owed, got out of there and not a prayer of going back...
If you are a restaurant in Mexico who can't serve a good guacamole, there's not a prayer anything else on the menu will be any better...

There are many great results with fantastic food and service in Veracruze City But some are just as wonderful at everything Regis resturante & bar is of course one of them

Mariscos Tano, a rehearsal space for a trio of jarocho musicians that has been operating since 1967, is adorned with old photographs from the 1970s featuring the owner alongside Las Vegas women. Although casuela de mariscos was randomly selected by one reviewer in Veracruz City, it proved to be a delightful choice. The cuisine was exceptional, prepared on the spot and bursting with tantalizing flavors.
We picked this place randomly and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent. Cooked in the moment and had good flavor.

First time I go there by recomendation. The food is good but the wait... is horrible. The bigger groups of people are served first, so don't go alone. Chilaquiles and enchiladas are good, don't know about anything else because the rest of my food didn't arrived haha. Make the waitress write your order, or you going to have to repeat it several times, like me. After a bad service, the waitresses still expect a good tip, really. I hope your experience would be different, but for me it's not worth it.

The Estadio Luis "El Pirata" de la Fuente creates a fantastic ambiance, thanks to the Jarochos. The stadium offers excellent vantage points from almost everywhere, with unreserved seating and affordable beer. It is unfortunate that the team lost their professional status, but there is hope for their return. While it may be an older stadium, it still provides great viewpoints and there isn't a bad seat in the house. The crowd is enthusiastic, and no conflicts were observed.

La Palapa Perra is just one of the places where I've had Ceviche de Pescado and liked me the most! I mean it, it tasted so fresh and delicious 🤤. Other people in my party had Shrimp Cocktail and they also mentioned that you can really tell the difference in the freshness of the shrimpy (they also loved it)
The crew was super attentive and kind. As this places is not located in a Main street you can easily find free parking and a table for you.
Amazing food is served here and the service is excellent. This restaurant has been my favorite place during my stay in Veracruz. It is in walking distance to the Aquarium and the beaches.

Solid classic ceviche. It's wahoo rather than the more common snapper or snipe/bass (robalo) which is a finer fish for the job. The molcajeta is also tasty.

It is said that no visit to Veracruz is complete if you don't have a cup of coffee in "La parroquia", I visited this location on a really hot day and decided to eat "al fresco" the ocean breeze was nice, and the atmosphere was great while sipping down a freshly pressed orange juice I deceided on a "milanesa a la veracruzana" which was a terrible mistake. Ambiance and service were great though.
This is a branch of the famous gran café de parroquia, located at the center of Veracruz. While the original one may be busy with long waiting lines, this place offers the same but less crowded. The iconic lechera coffee is a must to order. The food is good too. Also the coffee beans to buy is a very good choice, if you are a coffee fan. The ambiance is also very specific. An experience you must have hanging around in this region.

WORST AIRPORT EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I feel cheated and robbed. On my way home from Mexico, airport security confiscated two small, apple-shaped mosaic lamps from my carry-on because they were “too heavy.” Each couldn't have weighed more than 5 pounds. This was my third trip to Mexico, and I have never heard of nor experienced this absurd rule before. My friend had a smaller dolphin-shaped mosaic decoration that was also confiscated, while another mosaic lamp that was identical to mine was let through. (I'm glad hers wasn't confiscated, but this obviously shows blatant inconsistency.) There wasn't any weight limit for the carry-ons, and my carry-on suitcase was still overall very light because, other than these two souvenirs, it only held clothes. We were given the option to check-in the suitcase for $30. One friend rushed back to do this, only to find the airline had already closed check-in more than half an hour before boarding. We also tried to call the friend who had dropped us off at the airport to see if we could give her the souvenirs that would otherwise be confiscated, but the internet was down and we were unable to contact her. We realized that this process was taking way too much time, and we were risking being late for our flight. We had to take the loss and literally run to get on the plane. What we expected to be a smooth and routine pass through airport security resulted in the loss of over $50 worth of souvenirs pieces that we had picked out carefully and carried safely throughout our trip. Talking to friends later, we're speculating that we were straight-up robbed under the guise of “security.” These are not items that would normally be confiscated, and there was nothing dangerous about them. I have never left an airport feeling so violated, frustrated, powerless, and angry.

This is a small airport with direct flights to Monterrey, CDMX, Merida, Reynosa and other cities. The transportation options to/from the city are not very competitive and as a general rule very expensive. After exiting the secured area to the left, there are 2 booths were authorized taxis sell their tickets. I used the ADO taxi service and paid 200 pesos to get me to the bus station in the city. At the ADO station, there is a taxi service that charges 40 pesos to get you to the city center. There you can also buy bus tickets to go to Orizaba, Cordoba, Xalapa and other destinations in Veracruz.

We took a yearly pass and came back 2 more times in the next 10 days considering how much the kids loved it. One downside is that they don't let you enter with food but they are also not super careful so just put it below your towels!

I don't know how people can afford this. There should atleadt be a family ticket available. Our children are 1, 4 , 6 years old. The owners are not being smart or considerate. We would not return because of this. Again it's a very average park with nice staff but MASSIVELY OVERPRICED.

This water park surpassed my expectations. We came on a cloudy day and at first there were very few visitors. It got busier afterwards but it never felt crowded. The amenities are safe and well looked after and there are plenty of things to do. I'm not a person who is easily convinced to go to slides but I had a lot of fun and so did my kids. Also, the stuff is exceptionally friendly and well trained to deal with different situations (my kid got very nervous on one of the big slides). I would recommend considering getting an anual membership if you are in the area as the price is just marginally different from the day pass, I personally regretted not having bought one.
Great place to spend the day; whether you are going alone, in couple or with family & friends, a lot of fun in any case. I went with friends & family; there are attractions to all ages. We went two days in a row. A lot of fun. Don't miss the boomerango slide with your group, where you can share your experience with another 4 people face to face, and will be watching expressions and fun screams you might have not heard or seen in a while. Don't forget to bring aqua-socks/shoes, which are allowed in most attractions.

We came from the United States with our two year old. It is very nice/clean /spacious but they played American music with disgusting lyrics and cuss words. I finally had to ask them to change the music to family friendly music. If you want your kids to listen to cursing the entire day then it’s comfortable. Otherwise expect to hear crude “shaking a** fu** “ nasty cardi b rap music the whole time.
Also, you cannot assist your children down slides. Even if they cannot swim they have to go alone. Doesn’t make sense to me. They said it’s a “liability” for us to assist our child.

I could see the potential; it's certainly a very lively and interestingly historic place, but... my personal experience was that there was just too much focus on "making a quick buck" (as your cousins north of the border would say) rather than maintaining a pleasant area to enjoy. The incessant bother of "los vendedores ambulantes" is an unpleasant distraction from what could be an enjoyable evening experience, drinking, dining, listening to the music. As it is, every sentence of conversation has to be punctuated with many repetitions of "no" to someone offering fake watches, palm readings, dodgy pictures, etc.
Inevitably it seems that even the historic centre of the city is open to motor vehicle traffic, and that's a real shame; it ought to be a space for people rather than either stationary or fast moving metal.

Somewhat difficult to find (inside of the mall). The food was very good - rack of lamb! Very limited wine list (big disappointment for the steakhouse!). We were served by 4 waiters without any reasonable coordination. This space could be so much more.
Great food. The seafood soup was awsome.
Ribeye was truly excellent with a charcoal hint but the octopus tentacle starter I regret not having this time. Had it in 2010 and it was just as amazing as i remembered it according to my colleagues.
We ordered seafood and even thoug the it was delicious; the portions do not match the high prices.
Be prepared for a small serving and a rather "Very Expensive" cost.
The quality of food is excellent as well as the service.
I would not come back.
Grilled provoleta cheese was a disaster. Beef empanada with blue cheese has its fillings drop like puke. Steak was very salty, flan for dessert is a food poisoning recipe. Wine recommend by the waiter (local) was the worst I've ever had.
Ingredients are clearly not fresh. Restaurant should try to find an identity ( Argentinian but meat comes from USA? Huh)
Service however was absolutely great, very nice and attentive waiters.

Great place. A guide will take a group of people around the exhibit where you can see hundreds of crocodiles. Big and small, you can also buy the crocodile hide and meat and other items.

Quite the scam actually. The free entrance for one with toll booth ticket does not apply to the long tour. The long tour also DOES NOT always feed the crocodiles, so ask beforehand. If they don't feed the crocodiles it is NOT worth the money. The guides are quite knowledgeable, but the office staff are cranky. Also there is 4% charge for using a credit card so bring cash. They say it is a 50 minute tour but it took 2 hrs, most of it waiting on people to take pictures. It's a tourist trap.

Cute crocodile friends ! Learn about the Mexican crocodile and help conserve these wonderful creatures :) the tour takes a little over and hour and the guides are happy to answer your questions !
Make sure you ask about the prices for food. Menu says one thing and was charged almost double.
The tour is not bad.. but the office staff are lacking in basic social skills... Very rude... Type of people who seem bothered to do their job and take your money... Would it kill her to smile? We went on the longer tour... Had to pay per car... But were charged extra for a 5 year old... Advertised we would see them feed the crocodiles... But no... Overall, a big disappointment. Several Crocs with neurological problems and other deformities...
Roadside attraction, interesting and good for kids. Actual working croc farm selling meat and hide (and croc tacos weekends). Most of the farm is out of sight, small demonstration area, $50MXN tours. Learn a bit of bio-science along the way.

Beautiful structure, but when I visited the museum inside was closed to the public. I'll update Google maps accordingly. There was no sign regarding when it would reopen. The museum portion looks pretty small like it might fit inside one room

The friendly waitstaff serves generous portions of homemade flavors, including delicious seafood and typical Mexican fare. Guests can savor fresh fruit drinks and carrot juice while enjoying the cozy setting.
Very close to the beach you will get the full experience, it's a very powerful place, with the traditional roof and an open kitchen, founded in the early 80's, here you can taste the home made flavours and presentations, their waitresses are super friendly and the amount of food that you will get will exceed your expectations.
Start with their traditional "Empanada de queso" (Corn dough mixed with cheese or quesillo, comes with lettuce, cheese, sour cream and sauce with comino that tastes like heaven), I asked for a "Jugo Verde" (Nopal, celery, pineapple and orange juice).
A must that you need to taste are their popular "Huevos Tirados" (Mixture of egg and black beans), you can also add "Picaditas" and share it with your family or companion.
They also serve kid friendly dishes like pancakes, which are fluffy and tasty.
Pricing goes from $$-$$$.

The food was gross and over priced. The masa the picadas were made from was hard and wet from the salsa that was just water with green tomato and no taste. The gorditas with potato and chorizo was just horrible. I almost threw up. They need better ingredients and better cooks. At least the Jamaica juice was delicious. Do not recommend.
The location is convenient to the hotels.The customer service was bad! The food was not good. I had a pibill torta i took one bite and couldn't finish. My kids had the tostatas, they had no flavor . My brother had the Gorditas, the meat was a bit cold and not what we were hoping for. We had to call 2 waitresses to attend us. I will go a different time and maybe i will have a different experience.
