The parking signs for the disabled parking are ambiguous and incorrect,so it's not very clear. Friendly staff and great afternoon spent looking round Penndennis Castle and grounds. Whilst looking around the fun room within the main part of the castle we were approached by Don,one of the English Heritage staff who could see that our disabled daughter was enjoying reading the information in each room. He approached me and asked if we wanted an explanation and tour of the castle, which we agreed. He was fabulous taking time to explain what each room was for and pitching it at a level that our daughter could understand and relate to. He checked in after each room to ensure she had understood the information.He was interesting and very informative and especially kind and compassionate with our daughter as he took time and effort to ensure she took something from the experience. I asked if he had any experience with Additional needs as he was so good with our daughter, he hadn't I'm particular but had experience of working with young people. Don was definitely an asset to English Heritage and made our trip informative and memorable. The grounds and views were amazing and we felt very much connected to that part of history from his storytelling. The station the teashop were also good and cakes delicious.. All staff were friendly and great,I'd it hadn't of been for the confusion over the signage for disabled parking I would have given this a 5 star review. Definitely worth a visit.

Chose a sunny day and you'll be rewarded with stunning views over to St Mawes and Falmouth. The Military history spans the moments of crisis in British history; 16th century, the Nepoleonic wars and WW1/ 2. Superb info boards and exemplary English Hetitage staff dealing with an unexpected group of cruise ship visitors. Coffee in cafe to finish was just as good!

Absolutely loved our trip to Pendennis Castle. History with beautiful view's. A must for families & History buffs. Great cafe with friendly service and an amazing gift shop within something for everyone.

We went for the jousting tournament, which was brilliant, but there was a huge range of entertainment which was suitable for all ages and it was all included in the price. We also visited the castle and museum. There’s a lovely cafe, but the food and drink is expensive. There was plenty of car parking.

Lots of history around this castle and World War Two! It’s dog friendly and they are also allowed in the castle. We went in for free as we had an English Heritage membership - definitely worth doing.

Great place to It's truly a wonderful destination, offering a unique experience. The atmosphere is pleasant, making it easy to relax and enjoy your time. With its beautiful scenery, it provides a perfect backdrop for creating lasting memories. You will find yourself wanting to come back for another visit.

Taskmaster activities were well pitched and entertaining. 10 year old had fabulous day enjoying the history. 7 year old like exploring the castle grounds. Scones were good, but watch out for the wasps who would very much like to get the jam!! Dogs very welcome.

A great place to stop for a rest. Free parking and a great place to watch sunsets, dolphins and regattas. Also makes for a great place to walk and fish for mackerel etc.

Free car park with fantastic views out to sea in every direction, plus the castle just behind. You can also walk down to the rocks from the car park. This really is a hidden gem in Falmouth.

This is one of those places where it becomes a family tradition that you have go to enjoy if you are in Falmouth to enjoy the 270 degree views, fresh air (or even rain!), watch the boats and ships passing or mooring in the bay, a gentle walk to the fort and fishing rocks beyond the car park - and of course the ice cream from which ever van happens to be there serving freshly made ice cream in '99's'. May I be able to do for many years to come!

Pendennis Point is a beautiful scenic headland. Great for either walking or just spending time watching the world go by. Direct views over the Fal River, St Mawes, Black Rock (often seals at low water), St Anthony Lighthouse (The real Fraggle Rock!, Falmouth Bay & anchorages & the Lizard Peninsula.

We parked at Pendennis Point this afternoon to look out across the river for dolphins, as we've seen them from here before. Alas, there were none today.

Lovely area to spend a few hours watching the yachts and birds. Bonus we had a delicious ice cream!

Tickets quite expensive but they do last for a whole year which makes up for the price :) an option for a cheap day ticket would be LOVELY. Best section of the area was seeing all the surf boards and learning about some of the locals and their cool, interesting history. The remote control boats were super unique with it only being controlled by using the sails and ‘wind’. Gets properly crowded on a rainy day.

Modern museum in a lovely marina setting. It was a bit pricey at £18.50 for an adult. There was a great surfing exhibition on. Lots of interesting facts associated with the famous exhibits there. It looked a popular place for mothers with young children as there is a play area. There is also an inside pond for playing with radio controlled boats. Also they have a decent cafe and shop. There is a car park nearby with shops and cafes.

Really enjoyed looking around at all the boats, surf boards and the history of the surf competitions. Unfortunatly the tide was out so we didnt see the fish in the lower levels. This didnt detract feom the experience. Also some amazing view.

Great place, tidal pool and the look out tower particularly interesting. Friendly, helpful staff. A years membership is great value giving free entry for a year plus free entry to many other attractions in Cornwall.

Lovely day out with the children, ages 5 -14 , all of them enjoyed it. Went during the pirate exhibition in the summer holidays, very thorough and interesting, they also had a pantomime on hourly for the children which was well thought out and engaging, children loved it. Went down to tide 2 in the tower and enjoyed looking out to underwater and seeing the tide in the harbour.

Decent, But Nothing Special Whenever I visit a seaside town, my first stop is always fish and chips. It’s usually a generous portion at a reasonable price, and this time was no different. After researching online, this spot seemed to be one of the most well-known, so I decided to give it a try. The atmosphere and location are nice, and the staff are friendly. As you can see in the photo, the lemon was almost bigger than the fish! The portion was filling, with chips and mushy peas on the side. However, the mushy peas tasted like they had just been reheated from a pre-made batch, and overall, the meal wasn’t anything extraordinary. The fish was decent, the chips were standard—nothing that made them stand out. One downside was that my coffee arrived before the food, so I had to eat quickly before it got cold, which took away from the enjoyment. I didn’t want to send it back and waste it, but it wasn’t an ideal experience. If you’re in the area, it might be worth trying something else on the menu, but for me, it was just an average fish and chips experience.

Did not Disappoint, Easily The Best Fish & Chips I've ever had. We had The Famous 5, line caught Haddock, Chips Mushy, Peas Bread and unlimited Tea £21. The batter was light and crispy almost Tempora like. Come here and you won't be disappointed

Fab freshly cooked fish and chips in a lovely setting on Custom House Quay. Perfect with a cold cider from The Front pub under the fish and chip shop where you can sit outside to eat your takeout. Would recommend.

We chose this restaurant as it was so busy inside and was not disappointed. The staff were really fast and came with drinks and popadoms more or less as soon as we arrived. The mango lassi was a great choice with the spicy dishes. The onion Bahji was a great size but felt like was missing something. However the main dishes were next level. Succulent huge chunks of chicken in the biriyani and peshwari naan was so sweet but seasoned to perfection. Then the chana massala was probably the best i ever tried with multi layers of flavour and spice, which i accompanied with a potatoe and bamboo shoot dish that the owner recommended - the portions packed flavour and were large. Couldn’t believe the bill was £41 and I was given a rose and some chocolates too. Great night and another nice meal in Falmouth

We visited Balti Curries in Falmouth while on holiday with my family, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Our waiter, Mr. Sarma, was warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. We ordered a wonderful selection of dishes – Lamb Biryani, Garlic Chilli Lamb, Achari Lamb, Lamb Bhuna, Papadoms, Mango Lassi, and Tarka Dall – all bursting with authentic flavour and perfectly cooked. As a lovely surprise, they even offered us some delicious pakoras on the house, which was such a nice touch. Every dish was rich, aromatic, and beautifully spiced, and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was cosy and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal together. We truly enjoyed our evening here and would highly recommend Balti Curries to anyone visiting Falmouth. Thank you to Mr. Sarma and the team for making our night so special!

Had a great experience at Balti Curries! The food was full of flavour — rich but still light, so you leave satisfied without feeling heavy. An absolutely brilliant experience! My partner and I had the oyster, dressed crab with salad and aioli sauce, and the haddock and chips which were absolutely delicious. You could tell the ingredients were freshly prepared and the dishes were full of flavour. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Good value for money. Would come back again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We just went to the Shack last night for our 10th wedding anniversary. We were overwhelmed by the exceptional service the gentleman provided. They made our 10th anniversary especially memorable. We tried to say thanks again before we left but the gentleman was too busy back by the kitchen and we were rushing for a movie. My husband's steak was cooked to perfection. The amount of my seafood starter and main were so generous! I was so full. I loved their homemade seafood dip which was so tasty. I personally would love more flavour with the mussels and the whole crab. But they were still very nice. I'll definitely try the seafood platter for 2/3 to share when we bring our girls next time because my husband doesn't eat seafood! Anyway, thanks so much for being a highlight of our 10th anniversary! 💕

Super glad we went as the food was stunning. My friends had the crab sandwich and I had the dressed Cornish crab - freshly caught that morning. I had no idea dressed crab could taste that good. It was perfect! Being a little hungover we asked if they served Bloody Mary's and thankfully Max our waiter had a winning recipe at hand. It was definitely one of the best, perfectly spiced Bloody Mary's I've ever had - and I've had a lot. So that was a brilliant cherry at the top of an already excellent cake for our experience at The Shack. Our first meal in Cornwall and certainly one of the most memorable, service was amazing and the staff were so accommodating, we sat outside since it was a full house inside but asked to move tables closer to the entrance of the restaurant where it was a bit warmer and they gave us blankets too. We ordered the seafood platter for 3 and an extra side of calamari and was concerned it wasn’t going to be enough but we were oh so wrong - this magnificent spread of seafood could feed 4 easily as we couldn’t even finish it and had to take some home. Everything was just so delicious, especially the scallops and mussels in white wine sauce and the huge crab which was briny and meaty. You definitely get your moneys worth coming here, and will leave happily stuffed! We will visit again when we come back to Cornwall!

We stumbled on this beautiful little diner and we're so glad we did. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and great with our 2 year old daughter. The food was genuinely amazing. When you're on holiday it's easy to feel like you're being ripped off when everything costs three times as much as it would normally but we also found this place to be very reasonably priced.

Great taste. Not so great after effects. Had a chilli burger with cheesy chips on the side. Bit of a cheese overload but the burger and chips beneath were all very good - best in a long while. But that’s where all the praise ends. Don’t know what got me, whether it was the oil or something wrong with the meat, but 2 hours later I was stuck fast to the loo …for an eon. Two visits again since, and that’s all within 10 hours! Not great.

Very good burgers and also breakfast dogs. Especially suitable if just want a simple delicious meal. Another big plus is the super clean environment, very good decoration inside as well. Definitely worth trying!

Serving staff were really friendly. I had to resort to a knife and fork to eat the burger because the bun wasn't great and was falling apart. Loads of fries but not very crispy. Ketchup and vinegar were served in sachets. Chef wasn't very friendly when I thanked him even though I was the only person in the place. Maybe because I didn't tip?

Been a while lovely to return. Loving the blues of the hydrangea. Free use of a tramper is a good addition for those who need assistance. Great day to chill on the beach before the hike back up. The new to us walled garden was worth a visit.

Random visit for us as we had planned other places, very glad we went. It poured with rain the whole time but this made it feel even more special. The plants and walks around are amazing and a kid park for the kids to enjoy. Would 100% recommend to all.

Wow what an amazing garden! It's got so many fascinating plants and all grown with so much vigor! The garden is in a valley so you walk down one side and walk back up the other. The paths are well maintained but there's a lot of walking up slopes. Lovely icecream shop by the beach.

A beautiful garden, with a rich variety of plants set in a very special location. The cafe food was excellent quality too, it was fairly priced for what you receive and I would definitely visit to enjoy it again. Entry cost for your ticket is quite pricey which is my only reservation which will stop me returning too regularly- but I'd highly recommend and it's certainly worthwhile.

We went with a coach party and parking wasn't a problem. The garden reminded me of the Gardens of Heligan but on a smaller scale and with less diversity of plants. The planting includes lots of bamboo, hydrangeas and tree ferns. The paths wind their way down to the beach where there is a cafe with outside tables. You can do a circular walk to return to the car park. There is a shop, cafe, toilets and small plant centre before the exit.

My wife and I loved this ravine garden... Excellent parking, very modern visitor centre with toilets, cafe and customer seating..helpful staff for regular and first time visitors...shop for gifts and plants. Very clear map of paths leading down to the beach with hard standing area, picnic benches and (on our visit) the option of tea coffee ice cream and snacks... wonderful views across the Helford estuary.

Had an amazing spa day here. The staff were super accommodating and was so relaxing (which is what you would expect!). My personal highlight was actually the spa lunch. I was expecting tiny portions of food, but they were excellent! Totally recommend the duck starter!

Excellent location. Based in the heart of Cornwall and very close to Falmouth. Additionally, reasonable distance and quick access by road towards Cornwall's tourist spots including Lands End and St Michaels mount. The service received was excellent throughout. The pool and sauna are clean and well kept. The staff are all very friendly. There is plenty of parking and the set menu breakfast (+buffet) is great. Unfortunately some parts of the hotel are dated, especially some of the cheaper standard rooms but I believe they have recently been acquired by new owners who are slowly renovating.

What an absolute hidden gem!The only regret is that we only stayed one night! Loved everything about it., breakfast &coffee is great as well as the drinks they serve at the bar, the staff are doing their best to help you with everything u require. Also booked a full body massage here and Poppy was beyond acommodating and attentive, hope to be back soon!

Swim, sauna and outdoor jacuzzi - lovely setting. Nice staff, lunch was ok, crab sandwich had too much mayo mixed with crab (should be just crab imo). Enjoyed pool and sauna, changing room is ridiculous. couldn't swing a cat, very cramped but I was just a day guest, not staying. Am sure it's fine if you've got a room to change in. Golf course looked fun.

Stunning suite. Decorated beautifully. Grounds are stunning. Walks were lovley. Room number 6. If you're looking to upgrade. Bed comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe space. Great hotel of you love golf. And want to relax. We are not into golf. And only stayed here for 2 nights. As we were doing a little tour round Cornwall. Food was superb. If your wanted a more relaxed atmosphere have a little walk to the ferry boat.

Booked afternoon tea after having a river boat cruise. Marvellous location and setting. Service very good. Food was excellent especially the fruit scones. Limitless tea and coffee and more cream and jam. Very good experience.

Lovely walk through an exotic woodland downhill to a tiny fishing village (some of which is now holiday cottages) and stony beach with beautiful views over river estuary. Energetic walk back uphill via the maze halfway which was great fun . There were some flowers but I went at wrong time of year for them but thoroughly enjoyed the gardens nevertheless. Refreshments and toilets at top and bottom of path.

Wow, what an a great garden, there's a lot to see. If you have limited mobility then be warned that most of the garden is on a slope so there's a lot of walking up and down hill. There's some fabulous and different plants here, all of which are well cared for. You can walk down to the beach which is a lovely place to chill. The maze is fantastic fun and challenging being on a slope. Don't miss the massive tulip tree as you walk in which is incredible! There's a lovely cafe selling tasty cakes and drinks, some of which are traditional to Cornwall.

Lovely relaxing atmosphere, dogs allowed on lead except the maze, orchard and schoolhouse which is fine. Great cafe but dogs are outside - website says inside on the left but it doesn’t have any walls so really it’s outside with a canopy. Pebbly beach but still relaxing with an ice-cream hut. Dogs are allowed here too but on a lead. My mum who is 80 managed this walk with a few stops at the benches dotted around the site.

A lovely garden to leisurely wonder around. The plants and trees are very well displayed, with info on some of them.The little village at the bottom of the garden is very quaint with the little beach where you can sit and have a ice cream before you start back up the hill. The grandchildren really enjoyed the maze.The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a very good day out.

Fun activity for 3-4 hours with the kids. Maze, apple shed and the games nearby (connect4, big jenga blocks etc.) were really fun for the kids. Great walk down to the village near the beach and really tasty local ice cream from there. Finally some jacket potatoes back at the cafe near entrance to top the day.

We returned on Sunday, many years after our last visit. Still as beautiful as we remembered it. We had to take the easier route, as this time we had our grandson in his pushchair with us! Walked down to the village and beach, stopping for an ice-cream. Such a lovely spot. The flowers and trees in the gardens are stunning. We didn't attempt the maze this time, as previously, I remember it took us a long time to find our way out! Had some sandwiches and cake at the top café before our journey home - all delicious. Well worth a visit if you're in the Falmouth area.

Beautifully calm open sandy beach . Calm waves takes a while to get to the deep water but this is absolutely perfect for family’s with children and or dogs . Dog friendly at certain times . Lovely little sea caves you can explore !

Out for a drive and came across this place. Lovely beach sand.good for kids as well. Very flat beach. Car park small. Only problem was no signal on ur phone. Got to pay to park. Cash or card on manchine. But u can download the WiFi by the ticket machine and do it like that but when u walk away no WiFi. There is a cafe and toilets as well. Will come back again some time.

Stopped off here for some lunch and to walk the dogs. Lovely little cove, calm atmosphere with friendly staff and good food. Dogs loved it too although not dog friendly year round. Giving 4 stars as public toilets were awful 🤢 there is a clean disabled toilet at the cafe..

Lovely beach, not as crowded as some other Cornish beaches. The beach cafe is decent, and you can hire kayaks and paddle boards from a guy on the beach, it's £15 per hour for a single kayak or £25 for a twin kayak which we felt was very reasonable. Overall it's a pretty beach with a nice vibe.

Beautiful beach, clean and sea is shallow for many meters which is great for children. Parking right on the beach, toilets and a cafe on the beach. Highly recommend

Came across this restaurant by chance as it is dog 🐕 friendly, lovely place, great view out to sea, staff friendly and attentive but not too much. The food was delicious and well presented a lovely end to our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Will certainly go there again the next time we’re in Cornwall.

What a super Sunday lunch lovely veg, great roasty potatoes, excellent yorkie and plenty of thick juicy beef covered in lovely shiny thick gravy. We started with tempura prawns with a great sauce. Well worth a visit and also worth the price for us. Staff were amazing and very nice. Give them some custom they more than deserve it.

Fabulous pub located on the Helford River. Small menu but there is a specials board offering good food with generous portions. There is a car park if you prefer not to walk there along the southwest coastal path.

Tucked away right on the riverbank, The Ferry Boat Inn is a hidden gem you can’t reach by car – and that’s part of the charm. Arriving feels like stepping into a slower pace of life, with boats moored nearby and plenty of outdoor seating to soak up the view. Inside, there’s a spacious dining area plus a separate room with a pool table for a more casual vibe. We ordered fish and chips and a cheeseburger – both generous in portion and spot-on in flavour. At around £19 per main, it’s not the cheapest, but the quality makes it worth it. They also offer a selection of specials if you fancy something different. A relaxed riverside pub with hearty food, great views, and a setting that feels like an escape.

A lovely pub in a breathtaking setting. The beer was excellent, food too, and I could have sat and looked over the estuary all day. Parking is closed by. Be aware there are steps and slopes to the pub and back. Well worth a visit.

This pub is always extremely busy, which says a lot about it. If the weather is good get a table outside for beautiful views of Helford Passage, you might have to wait a while, but people are always coming and going. Fish and Chips are really good as are the burgers and the Mackerel pate is very tasty. Range of beers are excellent and service really quick. Definitely a favourite pub for us! A little bit pricey, but everything goes up in price and if your sailing into Helford it's not going to be a problem, though I'm a land lubber and can't afford to eat here every night, which is a shame😂
