Playa Blanca is a small town on the Southern coast of the island of Lanzarote. Pristine coastline and white sandy beaches stretch for miles along this peaceful seaside location, and tourists have the opportunity to swim, diving and kayak amongst schools of marine life. Public beach
Playa de Papagayo is a renowned beach in Lanzarote, known for its stunning turquoise waters and golden sands. It's located within the Los Ajaches Natural Park, offering unspoiled natural beauty away from the touristy resort vibe. While there are no shops inside the park, visitors can enjoy a restaurant overlooking the beach. For those seeking convenience, Playa Blanca nearby offers a more traditional tourist experience with various amenities and activities.
Arrived at 7pm to see the sunset. There was plenty of parking and lots of space on the beach. We swam and played in the sea for an hour and then watched a glorious sunset. The water was clean, the currents were strong (so be careful) and there were some 2ft waves so if you have smaller children, keep them close and check the tide times. The beach also has rocks either side so again be aware of the current. I can imagine during the day the beach would get crowded but there are other options close by if this is the case. Mujeres has lots of space and is less rocky. The drive to the beach is fine, the dirt track is pretty flat. As we arrived at 7pm we also didn't have to pay the €3 entrance fee. It is a lovely place to watch the sunset but be ready to leave as climbing up the path from the beach to parking area, in the dark, wouldn't be fun.

Visited here solely for the purpose of checking out the views which are highly rated. Access road just off the roundabout is several km long and is VERY bumpy at times so you need to be careful with your driving speed. Large car parking area so no problem getting parked (we arrived at approx. 11.00am on a Tuesday). There was a €3 charge for our car entrance fee. From the car park it's a short walk to the view point which does provide excellent views of the coastline plus you can see Fuerteventura in the distance and (presumably) a volcano or two in the opposite direction. For the best views you can walk towards the cliff edges but be aware that there are no safety barriers and the wind can be quite strong as well. The beaches here (which we didn't use) looked very nice with good access to the sea but getting down to them seemed a steepish walk from the car park area. There are a couple of eating place options but strangely I didn't notice any public toilets? Maybe I just missed them but definitely not obvious from around the viewing area and outside the eateries. Overall a nice place to visit for the views with the added bonus of good beaches. When we were leaving it was starting to get busy so obviously a popular area.
Fraser B — Google review
I visited this beach because it’s said to be the most popular on the island. The access road is several kilometers long and quite bumpy, so you need to drive carefully. Parking is no problem—there’s a large lot (€3 car entrance fee), and even when we arrived around 13:00 on a Monday, spaces were available. From the parking area, it’s just a short walk to a viewpoint with fabulous views of the coastline, and on clear days you can even see Fuerteventura in the distance. For the best photos you can walk closer to the cliff edges, but be careful—there are no safety barriers and the wind can get strong. The beach itself, however, wasn’t what we expected. The water looked dirty, it was crowded (as you can see in the photos), and getting down from the parking area involved a fairly steep walk. There are a couple of small buffets, but I couldn’t find any public toilets. Overall, I wouldn’t say this is the best beach on the island. The cliff views are beautiful, and the sea is calmer here, but if you want to swim, I’d recommend coming early in the morning before it gets busy. Personally, I prefer Playa de Janubio.

Great place for a big open water swim, managed 1300 metres at this beach which is 600m long. This is the first of three beaches at this location, you can only access it by foot by walking across a mountain path behind hotel sandos. There are no life guards, go in a strong pair of walking shoes and use a tow float when swimming. Keep away from rocks as people fish from them. Water is very clean and sandy beach easy to get in and out.
Mayo M — Google review
Beautiful small beach with shallow waters. Parking available on site free of charge and you'll have to go down some stairs to reach the beach but nothing to worry about. Two restaurants available there as well together with a small shop where you can get drinks.
Andrei G — Google review
Stunning natural beach with surrounding cliffs! It takes a bit going down and up by man made steps but it's totally worth it. If you're in Lanzarote, this is a must see area. Entrance is 3e only so not a big deal. There's a restaurant if you want to eat or drink at the top of the cliff, but it is expensive. Considering there's no mains power or water, everything is supplied through the generator so no wonder it's expensive.

✅️Pros: •Gorgeous golden sand and crystal-clear water •Protected cove with relatively calm swimming •Excellent spot for snorkeling and enjoying marine life •Stunning natural scenery, perfect for photos ⚠️Cons: •Access road is unpaved; drive carefully ~3-5 kilometers •National Park entrance fee: €3 per vehicle (I think the evening hours are free..) •Very limited shade; bring umbrella, water, and snacks (There is a small restaurant btw.) •Can get crowded during peak hours •Not ideal for small children or people with mobility issues, as you have to descend a long staircase to reach the beach. (50-60 meters long stair) 😉Tips: •Visit during sunset for breathtaking views •Bring sun protection, water, and snacks •Wear comfortable shoes for walking on rocky paths to the beach
Péter Á — Google review
20min drive on the bumpy potholed gravel road to get to the mediocre beach...just go somewhere else, there are more beaches on the Lanzarote and Fuertaventura that dont wreck your car while getting to them. There is no shower or toilet on the beach and no shade, only two bars and a ice cream shop overlooking the beach...we came in the afternoon so we did not have to pay anything to get in to the beach.

Playa Mujeres is a beautiful beach located in the Papagayo Beach area, accessible by a dirt track. It is the first of the series of Playas de Papagayo and offers stunning golden sandy beaches that gently slope into crystal clear waters, perfect for swimming. History enthusiasts can explore ruins of a limestone quarry and bunkers used in World War II. The beach is also popular among naturists.
Beautiful beach with clean sand and water! You can park at nearby parking place. Be aware that this is almost wild beach with no facilities (at least in March). But the view, the sea and the whole experience is amazing! Access by the rocky road is nit very pleasant but if you drive slowly you will do within 15-20 minutes from the main road.
Martin Š — Google review
Going into the natural park costs 3 euros per car. The way is quite challenging so I do not recommend to go with a low car but a higher one. The beach is beautiful but nothing so impressive, if you ask me. There are far more special beaches to see on the island. Quite busy beach so if you need some disconnection might not be the best option.
F P — Google review
Beautiful beach, the water is clear, clean and, when we went, a very pleasant temperature. It was busy but there is plenty of space. There is no shade here so if you plan on staying for a while, take a robust parasol. It was quite busy in the parking area, with not much room to maneuver so be careful. The dirt track starts straight off the roundabout and yesterday the was a pot hole right where the road ended that was difficult to see so I would suggest dropping your speed exiting the roundabout. However the rest of the dirt track was flat and in good order. Be ready with your card to pay €3 entrance fee, although when we left at 6pm cars seemed to be entering freely. It is a great place to see the sunset so we are going back this evening.

Beautiful beach, I walked here from Playa Blanca and it was so worth it. The beach is full of locals, is great for swimming and is so relaxing. I didn't see any facilities here, so make sure you take plenty of food and water with you.

Staying in Sandos Papagayos hotel and took around 10 minutes to walk here. Need some good shoes due to the terrain but simple to get to. Lovely views and a nice beach. No facilities are here, so bring your own drinks and snacks and hopefully you have a good bladder to hold it in😂

Gorgeous beach, very large. We arrived at 10 am and there were like 3 other people at that time. it he afternoon still pretty much empty (easter holidays). Very windy when we visited with lots of waves. Naturalists friendly. It took us about 8 min on the bumpy dirt road from the normal road to get here, driving very slowly

Lovely beach a bit crowded, waves are bit rough but not all the time so I recommend going there

Centro Comercial Rubicón Shop & Fun, also known as the Burger King Complex, is a shopping center located near Dorada beach. The mall offers various bars, restaurants, and shops including swimwear stores, art galleries, and supermarkets. Visitors have praised the cleanliness and orderliness of the mall which enhances the overall shopping experience. Additionally, there are positive remarks about the lovely atmosphere at Rubicon harbor with its great shops and restaurants.
A good place for shopping and for those looking for various products one of the better places in this part of the island.

Loved it. They are setting up for Christmas. Very weird being so hot and seeing Christmas Decorations🤣🤣 can you tell we are visitors. The rubicorn cafe cart was lovely.

Wandered down the promenade soon after we arrived in the resort and came across the small shopping centre next to the Rubicon Marina. The area, leading, to and around the Marina is lovely. Plenty to see and do. We stopped at Lani's Snack Bar for something to eat. Service and food were excellent. Plan to revisit the area on Wednesday or Saturday to see the Market.

A bit run down needs a face-lift but on the whole ok. Bars and eateries very good, sit at the biker bar and watch the world go by on the sea front.

Stunning little marina and boutique shopping area. A short 20min walk from.our hotel along the coastal path (Castillo Tagoro) just before sunset, you get an amazing view of the harbour and town (see photo). Some lovely places to eat out or drink or just walk around admiring the view and design of this lovely town. There are a few boutique stores for clothing and souvenirs.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Centro Commercial Rubicon, and I must say, it left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a sense of cleanliness and order that truly enhanced my shopping experience. First and foremost, I was impressed by the impeccable cleanliness throughout the entire mall. The floors were spotless, the restrooms were well-maintained, and the overall ambiance was inviting. It was evident that the management takes great pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, which made me feel comfortable and at ease during my visit. Another aspect that stood out to me was the wide range of options available when it came to food and clothing. The food court offered an array of choices, catering to various tastes and preferences. From local cuisine to international delicacies, there was something to satisfy every craving. Likewise, the clothing stores featured an impressive selection of fashionable clothing brands, ensuring that shoppers had plenty of options to choose from. However, it is worth mentioning that some items in the mall were on the expensive side. While the quality and variety were commendable, it's important to be mindful of your budget when shopping at Centro Commercial Rubicon. Nevertheless, I found that the overall experience justified the prices to some extent, as the mall provided a comfortable and enjoyable environment for shopping and dining. In addition to the cleanliness and variety, the mall's layout was well-designed, making navigation a breeze. Signage was clear and informative, making it easy to find the stores and amenities I was looking for. The staff members I encountered were friendly and helpful, ready to assist with any inquiries or directions needed. Overall, my experience at Centro Commercial Rubicon was a positive one. The cleanliness, extensive choice of food and clothing, and the overall pleasant ambiance left me impressed. While the prices may be a tad high, the quality and convenience offered made it worthwhile. Whether you're looking for a place to shop, dine, or simply enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, I highly recommend paying a visit to Centro Commercial Rubicon.

More like not shop and run. I don't like making negative reviews but in this case I have too. OK we visited this place about 4pm on Monday so not the best time. I would say about half the shops are not occupied. There was only a supermarket, perfume shop, somewhere for your nails and a few clothes shops. The small bowling alley was shut. We hoped to stay an hour or more but 10 minutes were enough. Disappointing 😞.

Massage spa
Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort is a luxurious oceanfront retreat with multiple dining options, bars, and outdoor pools. The resort also boasts a spa and gym for guests to unwind and stay active during their stay. While the hotel has received praise for its amenities, some returning guests have noted a few areas of concern. These include the lack of bathroom accessories provided in the rooms, such as tissues, shower caps, nail files, and ear buds.
We were seriously impressed with our stay. There is a huge amount to love about this hotel, but I need to start with the staff because they are what truly make the experience. A huge shout-out to Santos, who was seriously wonderful to us and Sonny. He was so friendly, kind, full of energy, and genuinely welcoming, we actually felt quite sad when it was time to leave! Elaina was also really wonderful, always greeting us with a beaming smile and being so attentive. And the energy from Attie and Pablo was incredible. The whole team's friendliness and spirit are exceptional. The Kids Club and soft play are a fantastic feature. It gave us a few hours to have our own headspace, and every time we picked up our child, they were having a wonderful time, even on the day they arrived a little out of sorts. The entire place is immaculate, really beautifully presented, with a huge selection of pools. The rooms are clean, roomy, and have all the amenities you would need. If I had to offer one small piece of constructive feedback, the food in the pool restaurant is a little lacking. Also, there might be an opportunity for the on-site ice cream place to offer a few more savory snacks. Overall, a truly wonderful and five star stay, thank you for making this such a memorable holiday for us.
James — Google review
Rooms are a little dated but spacious in good repair with good quality fittings and furnishings, pillow menu, ample hot water and good air-conditioning. There is free parking and no plate charge for room sevice. Spa a little dated but better than average with sea and garden view from steam and pool. Al a carte Restaurants and gelaterie very good. Breakfast outstanding whether buffet or al a carte. Location excellent. However, there were some room servicing issues possibly due to language barriers and things like bathmat and face cloth disappearing and not replaced. Pool waiting service was absent at first but improved after raising query. We probably wouldn't stay again as unlike many other hotels in Playa Blanca it doesn't cater well for couples. For example, most nearby hotels in Playa Blanca seat families and couples or adult only groups apart where possible at breakfast or have an adult only pool area. This is puzzling when it has more pools and dining areas than most! Our last few days were ruined by a noisy family next door after occupants changed having been assured it was a quiet wing away from families. The hotel has a vast child and family activity and entertainment programme and kids. It also has a separate day and night programme for adults. Unfortunately, we didn't do anything on the the adults programme as small children were welcome to scream and screech and disrupt these activities too even as late as nearly 10pm on the karaoke. A real shame but what should have been a relaxing wasn't. Other Playa Blanca hotels even at 4 star level manage to get the balance right for all guests at about half the cost of this one...

Another lovely stay at this hotel, beautiful rooms and friendly helpful staff. We find the location midway between the harbour and the marina is excellent. The hotel is kept very clean with well maintained gardens. We enjoy the buffet meals with their enormous choice and freshly cooked fish and meats so haven’t tried the other restaurants on site. We will certainly be returning in the future and would recommend it to others.

Our 7th or 8th visit to the Yaiza. This hotel just ticks all the boxes for us. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble, their aim is to give everyone the best holiday experience. The food this year was better than ever with themed meals on many evenings. We had a junior suite which is so spacious with a high level of cleanliness which was obvious throughout the hotel. We look forward to future visits to the Yaiza.
Sandra E — Google review
The Spanish guitarist was recommended to us for a relaxing evening of chat and drinks. He didn't disappoint, beautiful versions of recognisable classics that were easy on the ear but not overbearing. The gin and tonic was generous and the surroundings were lavish and not too overstated. It's a beautiful hotel both inside and outside.
Gary F — Google review
This is an amazing hotel, its staff are so friendly and helpful and work really hard to keep the customers happy. 7 days was not enough time to explore and use all the facilities on offer. The suite was large and roomy and very clean, and the pools fantastic. I only have 1 criticism and that is the issue of sun bed hogging. Every day, early in the morning, towels are placed on the sun beds and left unoccupied for the whole day or large part of a day. As a party of 6, it made it extremely difficult to stay together round the pool as we had children in our party that we needed to keep an eye on in the water, we had to keep splitting up. The signs around the pool say not to do this but it is ignored.
Naomi D — Google review
Just returned from Princess Yaiza after a lovely 5 day break. This is the 3rd time we have stayed here, cannot fault the hotel, it's staff, the location. The room this time came with a la carte breakfast included. The food was lovely and we ate twice in Don Giovani's on site italian. Highly recommend this hotel. Will be going back next year.
Sam T — Google review
Just back from a 10 day trip as a family of 4 with 2 children aged 4 and 2. The food and comfort of the room and sundowners were excellent. Minor issues were our phone and Hairdryer weren't working in the room but the app made it easy to report these issues. Occasionally our bottled water and coffee wasn't replaced but I'm sure if we had reported this it would have been fixed. The main issue was the lack of free drinking water and some of the waiting and pool staff didn't hold up to the customer service I would expect from a 5 star such has not coming for coffee orders or explaining what was on offer, not helping with a high chair. The entertainment staff were the highlight really, they weren't in your face but made the children feel included. Particular mentions to Pablo, Santos and Elena (apologies if spelling wrong), they were some of the few people who got high fives from my children because of how comfortable they made them feel.

Nestled at the southern tip of Lanzarote, the Faro de Punta Pechiguera stands tall and proud, a striking white lighthouse that offers stunning views over the Strait of La Bocaina. This scenic spot not only provides a glimpse of the nearby islands of Fuerteventura and Los Lobos but also serves as an ideal location for sunset watching. The area around the lighthouse is often quiet, making it perfect for those seeking solitude while enjoying nature's beauty.
Lovely views around the lighthouse area. well worth a walk from Playa Blanca for those able to do so Bus 30 takes you back for a few euro

I was staying at Sandos Atlantic Gardens site, and walked nearly up to the lighthouse one afternoon where the promenade path finished but did not walk the final few hundred metres due to the uneven ground. I took some photos of the sunset on a previous evening which was spectacular

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the stunning island of Lanzarote, and my journey took me to the southernmost point of the island, the Faro de Punta Pechiguera. This extraordinary destination left an indelible impression on me, as it combines breathtaking natural beauty with a rich history that transports visitors to another time. Upon arriving at Faro de Punta Pechiguera, I was immediately captivated by the picturesque landscape. Nestled on a rocky cliff, the lighthouse stands tall and proud, offering panoramic views of the sparkling azure waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The sight of waves crashing against the rugged coastline created a mesmerizing spectacle that will forever be etched in my memory. As I explored the surroundings, I discovered that Faro de Punta Pechiguera is more than just a lighthouse; it is a gateway to the island's past. The lighthouse, built in the 19th century, serves as a testament to the maritime heritage of Lanzarote. Its charming architecture and pristine white exterior are a stark contrast to the volcanic landscape, adding a touch of elegance to the rugged terrain. The extensive pathways surrounding the lighthouse allow visitors to take leisurely strolls while marveling at the raw beauty of Lanzarote's southern coast. The unspoiled views stretch as far as the eye can see, with dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and golden sandy beaches inviting exploration. I found myself immersed in the tranquility of the location, basking in the warm sunshine and breathing in the crisp, salty air. One of the highlights of my visit was witnessing the mesmerizing sunset from Faro de Punta Pechiguera. As the sun descended into the horizon, painting the sky with a breathtaking palette of hues, the entire landscape transformed into a dreamscape. It was a moment of sheer serenity and awe, leaving me grateful to be a part of such a magnificent spectacle. In conclusion, Faro de Punta Pechiguera is an enchanting destination that embodies the essence of Lanzarote's southern charm. From the rugged coastline and panoramic views to the rich maritime history and unforgettable sunsets, this place offers an unforgettable experience for all travelers. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a history buff, or simply seeking a moment of tranquility, a visit to Faro de Punta Pechiguera is an absolute must.

Casa El Barba Restaurant is a great spot located at the top of a cove, offering stunning views and an ideal location for visitors to enjoy refreshments after a day at the beach. The restaurant provides a welcome respite with friendly staff and delicious dishes such as fresh fish of the day, sea bass, octopus salad, and garlic prawns. While some reviewers noted that the portion sizes were on the smaller side, others found it to be reasonably priced considering its fantastic setting.
I don't really understand the bad reviews! This place is simply fantastic! I am from Sardinia and I am used to super fresh fish. We ordered grilled octopus and squid and it was simply fantastic! We thought we would eat average food, given the location, but they really cook food to perfection and the fish is fresh. 100% recommended!

access to the place by gravel road. nice views along the way. very atmospheric place with a beautiful view of the ocean and the bay. we drank coffee and ate desserts so I can't comment on the dishes. prices a bit high.

The view is just wow. We had the mixed salad and octopus croquettes and the food was good. We were afraid it was gonna be horrible as they really do not have to try hard in this location. Also good sangria de cava. Higher prices, as you would expect in such a touristy place. Quite fast service during busy lunch time. Plenty of shadow. Decent bathroom. You have to wait at the entrance to be seated.

The view from this restaurant is amazing. There was a lot of people, so we needed to wait 10 minutes to get there. We had coffee and coctails - it was delicious after sunny day. The road here is bit adrenalin. But everything was great , we loved it here, siiting and enjoying the views. Thank you.

Food was bland and mediocre at best. Low cut of meat, large piece of fat on the meat and flavour was below average. Do not recommend, rather eat raw fish from the sea.
Zak H — Google review
Slow service and you will get moved if they think they can get more people on your table if they sit a different party. Annoying as we did have a good view at the beginning, but were then moved. Disappointing. Besides this the beers are cold and food fresh, would return.

We went like most people at Papagayo beach to this restaurant because it is the only one closeby. We had to wait outside before the waiter rudely invited us in. Then we were seated at a decent spot where we were pushed 6 times within 5 minutes to pick something to eat. As we were choosing, we were then asked, are you going to eat or not? We ordered a water, papas arrugadas and gambas con ajillo with some bread. For this we were charged nearly 30(!!!) euros, but since we were hungry we chose to eat anyways. We then observed the staff being extremely rude to non-spanish customers by making fun of them and not even trying to respond in english. Obviously the location is gorgeous, but I would recommend eating and drinking elsewhere before you go to this beautiful beach.

Not so bad at all as overall rating was suggesting. Fish of the day was fine, our daughter had 2 starters and she was happy with them. Service is something to improve, a bit rushy and not very sophisticated, but nothing terrible. And the outstanding view and location brings it to a firm 4 stars.

Afrodite Little Italy restaurant, located just 100 meters from Marina Rubicon, is a charming spot for a romantic date night. The beautiful outdoor courtyard offers a blend of romance and liveliness. Guests can enjoy live music from a saxophonist while waiting for their hot and freshly prepared delicious food. The friendly staff creates a welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal place to celebrate special occasions.
My first 5 star review. Beautiful location on the Marina. The staff were excellent, sold the specials very well (I think everyone was having chef specials). The food was amazing. Pizza just like Amalfi. I asked for medium cooked steak, it was a little under and I now eat steak that way, so good. The fresh bread they put out was the best bread I've had. We're going home soon but will definitely return when we come back next year. Thanks a lot, muy bien, grazie mille.

We came here after passing by a few times shopping and decided to come for dinner on a whim one night. We managed to get a table even though it was very much fully booked, so if you go, please book a table! It was lovely, the staff were kind and were joking with you and trying to make you feel welcome and the food was also lovely to match. If you’re looking for a great Italian and a lovely evening out near playa blanca, definitely come here! The also have live music on Wednesday and Saturday I believe, so make sure if you want to come on either of those days to definitely book ahead.

What a marvelous find, complete with friendly staff. This was a takeaway order. Thank you Chef ' Simone' for creating a tasty tailored vegetarian Pizza for me. Thank you also to Miguel for being a very competent translator for the Chef, so I ended up with precisely what I wanted. This was made in front me, Photographs attached. Once cooked, it was cut in the precise number of slices I requested and presented in a secure takeaway box which I carried back to our temporary residence. This was a great surprise for my family as as they consumed it, they agreed, this was the tastiest pizza we have had to date on this particular trip. . I added my customary chilli flakes to my pieces, to make it tastier for me. Very well done Chef Simone and thank you Miguel. Bravo.

Fabulous food! Starters house special smoked salmon carpaccio is gorgeous. Maincourse was fish lasagna (best lasagna we ever tasted!) and fish fillets from the BBQ (also magnificent!). Service is very friendly and able. Absolute top recommendation

Last night we had a unique experience listening to Scott Page backed by The Floydians (the Italian Pink Floyd Experience) along with a wonderful 3 course dinner. The menu was limted but that can be understood for such an occasion, and the selection catered to both meat eaters and vegaterians. The food was excellent, my wife and I both really enjoyed the meat lasagne. It is a wonderfully run organization. Our waiter Ernesto who seemed to run the other waiters was very efficient and made sure that every one was taken cared of, both before and during the concert. It was 6 years since Scott Page last performed, there hopefully it will not be another 6 years before we will be able to experience it again. On the whole, it is something that other venues should strive to emmulate. Well done Afrodite and all your staff.

Loved this place so much that we ended up here twice in one week! A lovely setting in Marina Rubicon with very friendly staff. We both enjoyed the atmosphere here and particularly enjoyed Mr Brown the saxophone player (he plays Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays!) Food was delicious both times we were here and would highly suggest you book in advance as its a very popular place - once you’ve been you can see why!

Amazing place to eat or have a coffee right by the water at Marina Rubicon, Playa Blanca. The food is divine, all freshly cooked and the prices are great. The staff are so friendly and really helpful when you need to know something. It's all on one level with no steps so completely wheelchair friendly. Fabulous walks around the waterfront to either build up an appetite or walk it off! We tipped, generously, because it was so worth it and they seemed genuinely surprised and grateful, so I'm not sure if tipping is a thing in Lanzarote . Just amazing and would go back anytime we are there again. 😀

Absolutely love this fabulous restaurant visited when the children were younger and visited twice whilst away on our 3rd holiday to the beautiful island of Lanzarote 2 weeks ago. Food is delicious, the service is second to none from the staff and even though on one occasion we hadn't booked, we were welcomed in and given a fabulous table overlooking the marina. I am at a loss reading any negative reviews about this gem of a restaurant as its probably our favourite in the stunning Rubicon Marina. Thank you again for making us feel so welcome, as ever excellent x

Café Berrugo is a popular spot known for its fantastic tapas and lively atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of delicious options such as prawns, octopus, wild boar, and meatballs with an especially tasty sauce. The staff are quick and attentive, providing a warm welcome to visitors. Situated by the marina, this family-run café has reasonable prices and friendly service. Guests have enjoyed complimentary shots of honey rum after their meals.
Perfect tapas. A place where locals come, so you know it's good. We came around 2 pm, it was very busy, so you need a little patience but the staff is very fast and we didn't wait long to order and be served. After the meal, we got a digestiv for free. We would like to come back if we manage it.

This is our absolute favourite tapas bar in Playa Blanca and one that we visit many many times on our holiday. The team are great the food is amazing and the owner Sven is such a lovely person and always looks after you. We can’t wait to go back next year.

The Bar has plenty of space for people, and is protected from the wind. The marina is clearly visible from the tables and makes for a great scenery. For the food and drinks, the Bar features a wide array of normal drinks to specialties, and has a good selection of special meats, salads, pizza, and tapas. A selection from a children's menu is available for the little ones. The tapas is great quality, and flavourful. The mojo sauce seems to be homemade. The filet meats are prepared at the table with a small grill. The foods range from 5€ to 30€. Around 7:30pm it's getting really crowded, but it's still possible to understand the people around the table. Yet a reservation might be good for a larger group. The personnel is really attentive, creative when it comes to special needs and makes sure that everyone is fully happy. Allergies are taken into account, special wishes are listened to. Thank you for the great evening to the team.

Didn’t have a great experience here. Staff were nice enough but missed the opportunity to get a higher bill as they ignored a couple of drinks orders. I’d be surprised if they actually have a chef as the tapas dishes we had were all blatantly procured from a supermarket ready made and then warmed up. The meatballs were the finest(?) example of this - anyone from the UK that’s ever been (un)lucky enough to have a tin of Campbells meatballs will recognise the anti-albondigas here. Seriously would not recommend this place.

Fusion restaurant
Spice Fusion is a popular restaurant in Playa Blanca, known for its flavorful tandoori dishes and attentive service. Visitors have praised the deep flavors of the food, with generous portions of chicken and a variety of accompaniments like lemon rice and roti. The staff has been described as charming and helpful, adding to the overall dining experience. While some guests found certain dishes too sweet for their liking, others enjoyed the divine flavors of Punjabi curry.
Ate here tonight no complaints at all. Food was amazing lots of flavour ordered a madras (my normal go to) the waiters warned of how hot it might be they asked how hot would i like it cooking medium, medium hot or hot etc they was more then willing to meet out needs I ordered it hot and it sat on my pallet perfectly and the flavour wow I can still taste it great texture great taste I'm day 5 of my holiday tempted to go again but only 2 more sleeps left would recommend anyone else to at least try it the flavour of all our curry's was amazing we was a party of 5

Food was very average, 3 of us found hair in our meals. Meals didn't come as described and all the courses came out at the same time. (popadoms / starter and main) Once they had us seated they simply wanted our money and didn't care. Even stating; “if you came earlier we would have provided better service” Asked the staff, they reacted poorly. Won't be returning. Same kitchen as the kebab shop next door. Try one of the other great curry houses and swerve this one.

We have eaten here twice and have been amazed by the quality of the food, the service and incredible value for money. It’s a little tucked away but worth a visit for anyone who likes Indian food. Stopped in for an evening meal, found staff to be attentive though lacking a smile( did get one in the end though so), for starters onion bhaji and paneer pakora which incidentally was nice tasting, for mains had butter chicken and Punjabi curry the butter chicken was too sweet for our liking, the Punjabi curry was divine, both naan breads ordered were a little to burnt on one side, poppadum was melt in the mouth, had a complimentary shot of are choice at the end, nice touch, overall came away thoroughly stuffed.

Honestly everything here from start to finish was gorgeous, chicken cooked to perfection, we had popadums, garlic naan, chicken jalfrezi, korma and traditional Indian curry and it was all so perfectly cooked, if your considering this place don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed, absolutely delicious.

Situated on the main beach of the area, it offers stunning views of the sea and Lobo's island on the horizon.
Stopped by this beachside bar and wasn’t expecting much — but I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the Caesar salad and it turned out to be absolutely delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. The service was also a lovely surprise — friendly, fast, and genuinely welcoming. For a casual spot by the beach, the quality really stood out. Great views, great food, and great vibes. I’ll definitely be back!

Very nice beach restaurant with affordable lunch prices. We were able to find a table every day even though it gets really busy during lunch time. Service can be a bit confused at the times and slow (again busy periods of the day). Also, pay attention at your bill as they charged us 7e for spaghetti Bolognese that we didn't order (refunded promptly). Rustic ciabatta with pulled beef and cheese was our favourite!! Takeaway Mojitos are so so,much better when you get them in a glass. Draft beer is nice, cold and refreshing :)

As I walked the promenade looking for the spoon in concrete, eyes fixed down on the ground a couple were smiling at me frantically looking and said have you seen the spoon, I said no and he lifted his foot off it, it was amazing I took photos and we carried on with our day but every time we went back past the spoon we went and looked again and said hi.
Andrea F — Google review
I have always been fascinated by spoons. They are such versatile utensils, perfect for stirring, scooping, and slurping. So when I heard about the legendary spoon in concrete in Playa Blanca, I knew I had to see it for myself. I booked a flight to Lanzarote, packed my bags, and set off on a quest to find the holy grail of cutlery. It was not easy. I spent hours walking along the promenade, scanning every tile for a glimpse of the elusive spoon. I asked locals for directions, but they either laughed at me or gave me vague answers. I was about to give up, when I saw it. There it was, half-buried in a slab of pebbled concrete, shining in the sun like a beacon of hope. I felt a surge of emotion, a mix of joy, awe, and relief. I had found it. I had found the spoon in concrete. I knelt down and touched it gently, feeling its smooth metal surface. It was warm, as if it had absorbed the heat of the island. I wondered how it got there, who put it there, and why. Was it a prank, a mistake, or a message? I didn’t know, and I didn’t care. All I knew was that it was beautiful, and it was mine. I took out my phone and snapped a selfie with the spoon, smiling like a fool. I felt a connection with the spoon, a bond that transcended time and space. I felt like I had found my purpose in life. I stayed with the spoon for a while, talking to it, listening to it, and learning from it. It taught me many things, such as the importance of being humble, resilient, and adaptable. It also taught me some jokes, such as “What do you call a spoon that can’t stir? A spork.” and “Why did the spoon cross the road? To get to the fork.” The spoon had a great sense of humor, and I laughed along with it. I left the spoon with a heavy heart, but also with a sense of gratitude. I thanked the spoon for everything it had done for me, and promised to visit it again soon. I walked away, feeling a new sense of direction and fulfillment. I had seen the spoon in concrete, and it had changed my life. If you are looking for a unique and unforgettable experience in Lanzarote, I highly recommend you to visit the spoon in concrete. It is more than just a spoon, it is a symbol of hope, inspiration, and mystery. It is the best thing that ever happened to me, and it might be the best thing that ever happens to you. Trust me, you won’t regret it. The spoon in concrete is the ultimate attraction in Lanzarote, and possibly the world. Don’t miss it.

I wasn't expecting to go spoon hunting on holiday, however, when "The spoon in concrete" showed up on Google maps the challenge to find it was instantly accepted! It was actually reasonably hard to spot, but just as we were about to give up, we found it! If you want to spend 5-10mins with the kids (or big kids like me) then it's a fab little activity to do whilst walking along the sea front.
Hannah's N — Google review
Only heard about this after joining a FB group of Playa Blanca, yet we'd been there over thirty times! Of course, it was then a mission to find it. We didn't cheat (well, except for narrowing it down on Google Maps) and we found it after twenty minutes. Now, we see it easily on each time we pass. It isn't this absolutely incredible feature of the town, but what it is, is a bit of fun, a 'must do' mission on a walk along the most beautiful coastal path. Who knew? Everyone wants a bit of harmless fun and relaxation on holiday - add it to your list of 'things to do' when you're next there. And, don't cheat!

A lovely little find. We have dined here twice so far, on our holiday. You need to book, as tables fill up quickly. Sign of good dining. Food was excellent local fayre. Service very good. It has a lovely atmosphere about it and is competitively priced. Will return. June 25. Been back again this year. It is just as good. Booked again for next week. Sangria here is best I have had.

A lovely spot right in the center — slightly hidden but easy to find. The food was incredibly fresh and full of flavour, truly some of the best we’ve had! The hosts were so kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We loved it so much we went back twice during our stay, and we’d definitely return again. It’s a small restaurant with only a few tables, so make sure to book in advance. If you can’t reach them by phone, just message them on Instagram — it works perfectly. Highly recommended!

My wife and I booked this restaurant for an evening meal, using the website. Booking was straightforward and easy. We enjoyed a delicious and freshly cooked meal. I had the onion and gratin soup, my wife seasonal vegetable soup. For mains I had the stone bass and my wife had the sole. Both courses were really tasty and generous in size. So good in fact, we booked a table for two at the same venue for the following night! I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant, a traditional Canarian/Spanish eaterie.

A lovely restaurant that we always visit when in Playa Blanca. Really friendly and great quality food at very reasonable prices. Never been disappointed once since we started visiting Lanzarote in 2016. Some say a restaurant is only as good as its last meal, well this one has been excellent for the last 10 in a row! Hight Recommended if you enjoy local cuisine cooked to perfection.

Los Hervideros Restaurant is always a highlight of our trips to Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. The food is consistently fresh, full of flavour, and served in generous portions. We’ve been here several times, and it never disappoints — it’s become a must-visit spot every stay! The waitress is wonderful — she still remembers us each time we come, which makes it feel like a true home away from home. The restaurant might be tucked away a little, but it’s absolutely worth finding. Prices are fantastic (better than many others around), and you can’t leave without trying their ½ jug of sangria — it’s a must! 🍷 Trust me when I say, once you go, you’ll already be planning your next visit. If you’re after a later dinner, it’s best to book ahead — it does get busy with reservations! The updated menu just makes us even more excited to return. Highly recommend this hidden gem! 👏☺️

We had a prawn cocktail, fish soup and garlic prawns to start which were cooked perfectly. Mains consisted of 2 fish dishes and 2 steaks. All perfect. Left feeling rather full altho the portions didn't look huge. Had sangria and white wine which was recommended by the server and was tasty and not expensive. Would highly recommend.

Such a lovely beach with a lot of shops near (coffee shop, or food and beach things like swimsuits). Had really great time here. No waves and shallow water on the start so good for kids and bad swimmers. You can also enjoy diving or learn to ride a kayak.

Lovely little sandy beach. A great spot for snorkelling and swimming. We went on the weekend, arriving late morning. There was still plenty of space and it never got super busy. It is also empty at sunset and is a lovely spot to chill. A good selection of bars/restaurants on the promenade, plus a handy little supermarket.

Cozy beautiful beach with clear water and sandy bottom. Sand is white (artificial), very pleasant compared to the black one on the whole island. 😀 Perfect for swimming. Vibe like at Calais in Cala d‘or in Mallorca. One point less since it’s small and full of kids.

A really lovely little, manmade sandy beach. Protected by the walls the water is super calm. Whilst the western edge is a bit rocky the eastern part of the beach is 100% sandy with zero issues walking in and our of the water. Lovely soft sand. I stayed at TUI Blue Flamingo Beach which is the hotel right on this beach. It can and does get busy but not too busy. There are a couple shops, restaurants, bars, a cafe and an ice cream parlour overlooking the beach. It is served by a 13km promenade. There are no services on this beach such as toilets, changing rooms or rentable sun loungers. The mini marts have lockers you can rent.

Where do I even begin? We made a terrible mistake by booking our holiday at Merry Hill Store. My husband, daughter, and I were all excited to go, especially after our agent highly recommended it. We arrived late at night and were sent to a room the furthest away from anything, across a road. To make matters worse, the key cards didn’t work. I went back to reception and asked for a room closer to the front of the hotel, away from any open road. They gave me room A37, but the toilet was making noises like a T-Rex, and the shower didn’t work properly. These issues were reported on the first day. The TUI team on site, on the chat, and the hotel staff advised us multiple times that maintenance would fix it, but they never did. They didn’t even go to our room at any point. On the morning of day 5, they offered to move rooms, but it was day 5 of a 7-day stay! I was given a key for another unsafe and isolated room, just as bad as the first. The ceiling had been replaced multiple times and looked like it had been lifted and shifted out of Baghdad. There were cracked tiles everywhere that people could get hurt, and multiple chunks of concrete steps were missing from areas, leaving raised metal drains that could cut open people’s feet. The entire hotel was dirty. From the eatery to the stairs leading to the rooms, there was rubbish and hair everywhere. It was clear that the hotel needed money spent on it rather than TUI sending that money elsewhere. The food was also a major issue. There was fish in the cheesey pasta, undercooked food, and basic hygiene was missing from the dirty plates. Hair was even found in the food as it was placed on the surface. It was just disgraceful. On another day, a child was sick in the food area, and the family was not seen for a few days after. I requested a downgrade of our food option, as evidenced by the photo I have (it’s £934). Multiple placards around the hotel advertised the costs of upgrading. The place is a health and safety hazard. We’ve spent over £1000 eating out of the hotel because of its poor quality and dangerous conditions. Why can’t you downgrade if you can upgrade? It’s the same process in reverse! After speaking to other people, I discovered that the entire hotel is in the same state, and the staff are fully aware of it. The TUI rep, Dylan, offered to sort my late check-out, but it was only until 2 pm because they had others coming into our room. I asked how he could possibly put people in the room knowing its condition, but he said that was his problem to sort out if they complained. He’s sent me a link to refund me the 20 euros to the wrong mobile number, which seems like it’s been done on purpose, I’ve asked the TUI team on the app a number of times to correct this and they still haven’t. An hour until we leave, and the receptionist recommended using the ‘spa’ shower, advising us to book it quickly as they get booked up. We went down to use them, and my 9-year-old daughter and I went to the ladies’ room. Next thing, there was a crash, and the shower door came off, hitting my daughter. She slipped and fell onto the raised basin, where there was a rusty latch or screw that had broken off. She has severe bruising and is screaming. I ran to the receptionist, who said she had told the hotel and TUI staff that they were not safe repeatedly, but her advice had been ignored. This clearly indicates that despite being told that there’s clearly no care from either TUI or hotel management. The TUI manager and the deputy hotel manager came down to speak to us. I asked the hotel manager to fetch a doctor, and he got the doctor to check Scarlett’s ribs to make sure they weren’t broken. This hotel is dangerously unsafe. I’m horrified that there’s no accountability or ownership of the issues we raised. Multiple laws are being broken, and it ended with my child sustaining a serious injury. I have photos of every point I’ve made above, including the injury she sustained.

Beautiful beach. Crystal clear waters. Small fish swimming around you and near to no rocks on the left hand side of the beach. One of the best beaches in Lanzarote.

We really enjoyed this beach - there were shops near and the beach was nice also! Perfect with kids but even without!

Very nice beach with calm water. Only thing is there's no sun loungers or umbrellas for rent. We spend there several hours on one day as it was cloudy but other days, Playa Dorada was our favourite.

Seafood restaurant
Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurante Brisa Marina is a lively tavern located in Playa Blanca, offering a variety of delectable dishes such as mussels, seafood platters, paellas, and grilled fish. The restaurant is renowned for its broth of carabineros and traditional Canarian cuisine. They take pride in preparing fresh dishes using Spanish native products from both land and sea. While the service can be fast-paced due to the bustling nature of the place, the food quality is exceptional.
Stopped here for lunch after being recommended by our taxi driver and didn’t disappoint. For seafood lovers the menu is a dream but has a wide selection of other types of food. Service was fast but not rushed and we arrived around 1.00pm and by 2.00pm the place was packed. We went for the cod with Canarian potatoes and Blue fin Tuna 3 ways, which were fantastic accompanied by soft warm rolls, water and 2 cold beers which came to around 70 Euros. Highly recommended, but would probably need to book for dinner as imagine it would be busy.

Come from Canada and first Time we went to this place for snack only. Foods are good and staffs are nice. But it’s a little over price for other place, specially they charge for 2.50 each for a mini Bread, if you’re 4 it’s already 10€ ☺️. When you know that 1 baguette is 0.56€ hihihi in mercadona

We were recommend this resteraunt by our host, and we are so glad we visited! We got a takeaway, mixed meat paella for 2 so we could take back to our balcony (which we left a €20 deposit for the pan and since got it back when we returned) and it was both super tasty and huge!! Did us both a meal for 2 nights!! Lots of meat and very delicious. Also the waiters were all so friendly (especially Alberto who mainly served us) which also made it all the better. Would defiantly recommed for service and Paella. Thanks again :)

Nice restaurant looking out over the sea. Friendly staff. We got the paella for 2, you could have feed a 3rd person really. The paella was nice. The salmon was also nice. There was even fireworks at the end

The quality of food here is incredible from fillet steak to tuna tartare - it is one of my favourite restaurants in Playa Blanca 🙏🤩 The fireworks 🎇 at around 9 is always a welcome spark for my youngest child too 👌 Highly recommend ✅

AVOID! We visited this restaurant tonight and would advise others to go pretty much anywhere else on the main seafront! Service was poor- the manager (we think) was rude from the off. Menu put in front of us and asked at the same time what we would like to drink; didn’t get a second to even open it. Couldn’t locate what beers were on offer so had to ask. Starter was fine. Bread was nice. We had the mixed Paella, 4 king prawns were on top. Two were soft and I knew straight away they were inedible and more than likely undercooked/off. We ate what we could of the meal. I informed the waiter of the prawn issue and over came the manager shortly after asking what was the issue again. He left and came back (presumably to ask the chef?) and informed us the prawns are mushy/soft because of the way they are cooked and this is ‘normal’. I know this isn’t true. There was no apology, just a rude response. After this we were ignored by all waiters and got the bill and left; reluctantly paying for a meal that could potentially make us both ill. Not good. Avoid at all costs.

Nice location overlooking the sea and great service. Octopus starter was very good but the suckling pig was more like slow cooked pork, nothing like other suckling pig I have tried. It was ok but not what was ordered plus the prices are on the higher side for what you get, especially compared to other restaurants locally.

Típico Canario is a restaurant in Playa Blanca that stands out for its ocean view on the promenade. While many other restaurants also enjoy this benefit, Típico Canario sets itself apart by offering simple and authentic Canarian specialities. Although the service may become strained during busy times and it may not meet the standards of Michelin inspectors, it still delivers when it comes to providing honest Canarian food.
The staff were very persuasive whilst we were looking the menu and pointed out the portion sizes were large and the prices were cheap. A bit sceptical we took a table anyway but the service was fast, the portions were large and the prices reasonable. Ended having a great meal and would go back again if passing. Pictured is the tuna steaks.

Went to Tipico Canario for lunch, there was no issue with getting a table for a large party. I ordered the Paellla con carne (Meat Paella), the menu said it was an order for 2 people, but there was no issue getting it for one person. There was lots of chicken and beef in it, it was delicious and very satisfying. Another person in our party ordered the sirloin and I ordered a mojito. All were delicious and devoured. I practised my Spanish and spoke a bit with the waiter which was fun. We will visit again.
Cara W — Google review
Tipico Canario stole my heart! The food is absolutely delicious, the wine is perfect, and the atmosphere is just magical. But what truly made the night unforgettable? The charming staff—warm, attentive, and effortlessly making me feel like the most special guest. Add in the breathtaking ocean view, and it felt like a scene from a romantic movie. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this little slice of paradise!
Kristína M — Google review
The food is of very low quality — the fish was clearly not fresh. The rest of the dishes were edible, but both the quality and presentation are at the level of a basic cafeteria. Service is a complete failure: the waiters forget about you, and if you politely remind them, they respond rudely. They keep arguing with each other in front of guests. A fake place aimed at drunk tourists. Wine from a carton for €4.50 per glass was the final disappointment

Very pleasant restaurant with great food and very nice staff. Just walked up and was given a table for 2 straight away even though it was quite busy. Food served in good time and tasty. Waiters were pleasant and a good experience.

Food not tasty. Dates with bacon. Bacon was very greedy, not a crispy one, plus extra layer of breadcrumbs… usually this dish is not deep-fried. Pimientos de pardon - not enough salt. Same for canary potatoes. 30€ for everything on the and extra for beer. Service very chaotic since it’s a lot of people coming and going, so it’s like a conveyor.

Visited twice whilst on holiday for a week. First visit, I had a Sirloin steak. The steak was sizeable, well cooked to medium rare on the BBQ, served with roasted local veg and choice of spuds. I had chips. Second visit I had a leg of lamb. The meat dropped off the bone, it had a very nice tasty coating, not sure what it was but it was lovely. It was served with a sauce which went better with my chips. The waiting staff were busy scurrying about, my wife's Pinocolada arrived within minutes but I had to remind them that I'd ordered a beer. Also had to wait a while to pay. We were served with a complimentary orange liqueur which is probably not to everyones taste. I think overall the service was fair to middling but the food was excellent.

Visted during our trip to Playa Blanca. Lovely food and a great choice. We had Chicken with a mushroom sauce and Lamb chops. Both dishes were cooked on the BBQ and came with a vegetable selection and chips. The plates were massive and quality was fantastic. Good service although some waiters were friendlier than others! Would definitely return

Fast food restaurant
Burger King is a well-known fast-food chain that offers grilled burgers, fries, and shakes. While some locations may have ranked lower in terms of healthy children's meals, the restaurant is praised for its friendly staff and efficient service. With an ideal location near the beach and a view of the marina, it provides a great setting for dining in or taking away. Customers appreciate the understanding of dietary needs, such as offering gluten-free options on their menu.
Great little Burger King with both inside air conditioned seating or outside seating over looking the ocean. Very clean and friendly staff. Food was made very quickly and was piping hot. Highly recommend.

Came here excited to have a gluten free take away on holiday only to be charged for a meal that was advertised as having gf chips which ended up being replaced with a salad as I was told the chips were not infact gf. Queried it and was told there was nothing that could be done. :(

Used the self order screens, got my receipt and waited, and waited, and waited. The place wasn’t even that busy. Eventually went up to the counter to be told “orders have not been working from self order screens”. There were multiple people waiting. I eventually got my food albeit the order wasn’t right. Food itself was hot and not bad.

I like the view and the fact, that they have glutenfree options here!!! BUT: 1) the burgers were dry like the sand at the beach and one was without cheese! 2) the frites were not burger King crispy! 3) the hygienic level-> Tables dirty, floor dirty, nice view but windows dirty, kitchen...? I've never been in such a unhygienic Burger King! Hygiene-> 0! I hope you will improve that!!! I'm not sure who has to clean all this...so I cannot give the service more Stars! Next time I am going to have a look at the toilettes...and for me it doesn't matter if you are sharing them with other restaurants! Food is produced here! Hygiene is a key position! So hopefully it will be better next time and the food is worth the money I pay for it...otherwise, I will take some good photos! You can do it!

Absolutely diabolical. We placed 2 seperate orders and opted for table service and after 20 mins of waiting my husband went in to see what was going on. I followed after 5 mins and the whole place was upside down. There was food on trays and drinks and ice cream everywhere and only 3 workers in the whole place. No one was giving food out to customers so food was sitting out getting cold. After waiting well over 40 mins we started requesting for refunds to which we were told we had to wait for a manager who was on freetime. Eventually after an hour of being in this establishment we got our refund. I would avoid this place as it seems like this is a common occurrence.

4 of us. ALL food was cold, cheese wasnt even melted. We ordered large burgers and small were given. No straws, no spoons , no ketchup and no napkins. Had to keep popping back to counter to ask for these basics- staff looked like I'd asked for a kidney. Place was dirty, unloved and unkempt. Staff clearly dont want to work here. Unhelpful and rude. Toilets are disgusting. No handsoap. No dryer. No lights even!!! I'd have given 0 stars if I could.

Fine dining restaurant
Restaurante La Cocina de Colacho is a chic and modern dining spot located just outside Playa Blanca in the Marina Rubicon area. Run by a husband-and-wife team, this restaurant offers an open kitchen where diners can witness the culinary magic happening. The menu features expertly prepared dishes created by Lanzarote-born chef Nicolas Machin, also known as Colacho.
The food was AMAZING. Everything was so good and fresh. Several ingredients come from their family garden. The presentation was beautiful. True works of art. On top of that, we received a very warm welcome. I could really feel the pride and passion for what they do. Highly highly recommend.

This is an overdue review but much needed. I had such an amazing experience from beginning to end with La Cocina de Colacho. Before we even arrived, I reached out because I had some questions about food allergies and concerns prior to making reservations, and the customer service and immediate detailed response from Mrs Anabel Távara were so helpful and reassuring. After her responsiveness, I was excited to set up our reservations, which she was also able to assist with. We were staying about 45 mins away, and I was hoping the ride was worth it, and it definitely was. Each item had something special about it and it was like just when you thought you've tasted something that couldn't be beat, you would receive your next serving which fired up your taste buds all over again. IF we had any complaints, it was the fact that the menu is a tasting menu, and we wanted MORE!! Lol The family were all involved and welcoming, and it was so nice to meet them all. Each dish was made with warmth and heart. The food was fresh, and several of the ingredients were from their family garden. The presentation of each dish was beautiful. Even the aesthetic of the restaurant, along with the food, were all creative works of art They are open Monday through Thursday, 18.00 (6 pm) to 22.00 hrs (10 pm).

We were lucky to get into this restaurant, they were only serving the tasting menu but it was worth the 105 euros each. It’s family run and we were served by the lovely Nico who helped us decide on wines which were very good. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners and hearing their passion. The place feels very personal, with everything thought of even the glasses and crockery . The attention to detail goes for the food too. Each course is carefully thought out, and regional produce used . Toilets are quirky and took me a minute to understand where they were down stairs . We will be back next time but will not chance it, will book it before we fly there .
Nikki M — Google review
The quality of each course on the tasting menu was outstanding. Not cheap (115€ per person) but when you understand how much work must have gone into it, it’s justified. The matching wines went so well with each course and each one was top quality. Fabulous meal, we’d love to go back.

We had an incredible dining experience here. The food was simply amazing, each dish bursting with flavor and showcasing surprising combinations of ingredients that delighted our palates. What made our visit even more special was the evident passion of the owner's family, infusing warmth and authenticity into the establishment. The service was exceptional – attentive and super friendly, making us feel incredibly welcomed. This restaurant is a perfect choice for a great evening out, especially for special occasions. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable evening. We'll definitely come again!

My husband and I have been to some incredible Michelin Star restaurants and this is up there at top of my list! This beautiful family run restaurant not only serves absolutely mouthwatering food, they serve their food with a passion and beauty I’ve never seen before. Greeted with the biggest of smiles by one of the Son’s (Colacho Junior) we were made to feel part of their extended family immediately. Annabelle (a fabulous artist and mother & wife) then shared the front of house experience to ensure our every need was met. In the kitchen Colacho Senior works his magic accompanied by his eldest son and daughter. A passion of his that clearly shows in the presentation and taste sensation of his immaculate dishes. I have fallen in love with the spirit and energy of this incredible family as they share their hearts and talents with us for a few hours. I honestly think one of the most delightful places I have ever had the privilege of dining at. Thank you - your family is inspirational!

Park
Aqualava Water Park is a popular attraction in Fuerteventura, covering nearly 270,000 square miles and offering over a dozen aquatic rides and activities for visitors of all ages. The park features 5 water slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, kids' play structures, and concessions. It's an ideal spot to escape the hot summer sun near the town of Corralejo.
It is a part of hotel group but entrance is separate. I recommend buying pass for 1 -2 weeks. It’s way cheaper. Staffs are friendly. My children loved wave pool. Outside food is not allowed so you may end up buying all fried food they have on offer. I loved ice creams though. They have beach essentials in the shop in case you didn’t have time to buy. Definitely worth visiting 🙌

Nice compact waterpark with a lazy river, kids pool with slides and activity zone, a bigger wave pool and 5 water slides. Plenty of staff around to help. Lots of inflatables for the rides when we went. It also has lockers, toilets, shower areas and a nice food area with burgers, chips, pizzas, kebabs, fruit, ice cream and drinks.. We went wen it opened at 10am and stayed till 430pm and they also have on site photographers that take pictures that you can view during you stay and purchase. My smallest girl and middle boy loved it as it was just a nice size park and wasn't mental busy.

Splashes of Fun, Waves of Disappointment: A Honest Dive into Aqua Lava Short Review: Aqua Lava Water Park in Lanzarote offers a handful of fun features, including a wave pool, kiddies' splash zone, lazy river, and slides, but ultimately feels outdated and uninspiring. While younger children might enjoy the splash zone and the slides provide some thrills, the park suffers from visible wear and tear, a lack of imaginative theming, and overpriced food with no outside options allowed. If your hotel has a pool, you’re not missing much, though it could be worth a short visit if entry is included in your stay. With some much-needed investment, Aqua Lava could live up to its potential, but as it stands, it’s a fairly underwhelming experience. Longer - detailed review: Nestled along a dusty main road just a five-minute walk north of Playa Flamingo Beach lies Aqua Lava, a water park that feels as though it has seen better days. With its rusted metal fixtures, bleached paint, and an overall sense of wear and tear, the park presents an outdated and tired aesthetic. That said, we visited in December—far from peak season—which undoubtedly contributed to the quiet, almost empty feel of the place. For us, entry was included with our hotel package, so we felt it was worth at least one visit. While the park’s overall appearance left much to be desired, my son did have a lot of fun, which ultimately made the trip worthwhile. However, Aqua Lava offers a limited range of activities, so here’s a breakdown of what you can expect: 1. Beach Pool The medium-sized beach pool was equipped with an hourly wave machine that added some fun to the experience, albeit briefly. The pool used saltwater and was icy cold, which limited how much time we wanted to spend in it. It was adequate for a short swim but not particularly memorable. 2. Kiddies' Splash Zone This was one of the highlights of the park and is clearly designed with younger children in mind. With smaller slides and a climbing area topped off by a 10-minute bucket-dump feature, it’s a lively spot that younger kids would undoubtedly enjoy. While our children are a bit older now, it was clear that this section of the park is its most appealing feature. 3. Lazy River (Magma River) The Lazy River was unfortunately a letdown. Its short circuit felt uninspired, and the lack of decorative touches such as plants or themed elements left it feeling bare and uninviting. The water tubes sat deflated and unused, further adding to the overall sense of neglect. A little imagination and investment could make this a much more engaging feature. 4. Slides The park has five slides, four of which require a tube to ride. My son enjoyed these and, to be fair, the speed and thrill of the slides provided some genuine fun. The space bowl slide was a nice addition, but the slides overall felt like standard fare rather than an exciting experience. Like much of the park, they suffered from the same tired, uneventful aesthetic. 5. Restaurant Area As is often the case with water parks, the restaurant area was overpriced, and the park’s strict policy against bringing outside food meant we were left with no choice but to purchase from there. This could be an inconvenience for families planning a longer stay. Final Thoughts We only stayed at Aqua Lava for a couple of hours, which felt sufficient given the limited attractions and overall atmosphere. For visitors already staying in Lanzarote with access to a hotel pool, Aqua Lava doesn’t offer much you’d be missing. Families with younger children might enjoy the splash zone, but for most, this water park is unlikely to be a standout feature of their holiday. That said, the park has potential, and with some much-needed investment in branding, decor, and upkeep, it could become a more engaging and memorable destination. As it stands, Aqua Lava feels like a relic of a bygone era that’s in desperate need of some fresh life.

Great day out. Lots to do and reasonably priced. Flumes great fun, no long queues. Toilets really clean. Beach with waves on the hour every hour, good fun. Plenty of seating and the lazy river was always there for when you’d ran out of energy. I even enjoyed a well priced beer as we took a little breather. Excellent 👍🏼

Fun few hours - totally recommend the half day pass (after 2pm arrival for discounted entry). There is a lazy river that you don’t need a ring for (but that’s the point isn’t it?) a few tube slides, a wave pool and a great kids pool with a MASSIVE bucket that dumps loads of cold water every 5 mins or so. Lockers are by the entrance so you can lock away your valuables and have fun without the worry.

Great little water park just minutes from Playa Blanca. Probably best for families up to early teens. It's compact - but in a good way for families. You can't bring in your own food - so be prepared for food bags being held in reception 😁. You can easily pop out to eat and go back in though! Amenities: - Shower rooms (not used by us) - Showers throughout the resort, weak water pressure but just to rinse off salt water - Canteen, a bit confusing as partially self service and 'to order', but quality is fine. Includes chips, nuggets, hotdogs, pasta, pizza slices, fruit, beer, fizzy and fruit drinks. All reasonable prices - Lazy river, decent size and good 'current'. Shallow water, so good for paddling too - 'Water House', with giant bucket splashing every 20mins (ish), 3/4 baby slides, various places to hide - Slides for small kids, by the Water House, one bendy and one quite wide for races - Wave pool, for dipping or wave surfing every hour. Exciting for kids 6+, but not too hectic! - 5 'adult' slides, for 120cm+, two for inflatables and 3 for bodies. Decent blend of 'open', 'closed' tubes, both fast and slow. Fine for kids aged 6yrs and beyond - Various chairs throughout the venue (no real sun loungers) General observations (good and bad): - Decent value even for a half day, if not full day - Compact so easy to stay close to family - Difficult to find shade by chairs, if arriving late - Limited reception staff, so queues possible when busy - Limited life guards, so parents must remain watchful - Sometimes difficult to get an inflatable as people would hold onto them after each ride. Lifeguards can help, but otherwise up to parents to get aggressive and snatch from people as required 😆. In fairness, this improved throughout the day - as people realised how to share (!!)

Review – Aqualava Waterpark Lanzarote – April 2025 We visited Aqualava Waterpark from Fuerteventura with our family of four. We paid €49 per adult and €33 per child (under 12), totaling €180. This price included the boat trip to Lanzarote. Our hotel told us we would be picked up at the harbor upon arrival, but that didn’t happen. We had to walk (1.4 km, which is manageable) or take a taxi (€3.15). The park itself was smaller than expected. There are five slides, a children’s pool (only for kids under 1.50 meters), a wave pool that operates occasionally, and a lazy river. The water on the slides is freezing cold – despite the claim that the water is geothermally heated. Only the wave pool and lazy river felt slightly warmed. You can’t swim laps anywhere. Sunbeds and parasols are available if you’re lucky enough to find one. There is a buffet, but it’s only accessible to all-inclusive guests of the adjacent resort. Other visitors must pay separately – and prices are steep. We paid €56 for four hamburgers with fries and four drinks. The staff simply picked them from the same buffet, which felt unfair. Lockers cost €5. A Magnum ice cream was €4.90 and a Calippo €3.30. These prices just don’t match the limited offering. The park closes at 5:00 PM, but our return boat was at 7:00 PM, so we had to wait two hours. We made the best of the day, but the value for money simply isn’t there. A sign at the entrance says the park has a capacity of 750 people – if that number is reached, I honestly don’t know how anyone could enjoy swimming. In short: fun for a few hours with small kids, but we wouldn’t spend over €200 here again.

Small but beautiful beach. Negotiate the rocks carefully & it’s an ideal spot for snorkelling & swimming. There were so many fish on view, I felt like I was in an aquarium!!
John D — Google review
A pleasant little beach. Made more exciting by the ferries coming and going creating quite a surf. The nearby shops and cafes are all very popular.
Paul M — Google review
Not much of a 'playa' at all. Almost impossible to access the water as the beach is made up of sharp rocks. The man-made, walled, sandy areas with deckchairs on the west side of the beach (still no sea access) are owned by the hotel behind and not accessible to the public. The only restaurant / bar doesn't open in the day. Stay on the promenade and keep walking to Playa Flamingo if you want a lovely beach with soft sand, a couple of open bars and restaurants and direct sea access.

S'alright. Though it was midnight and I was just passing through. Access to sea, and a bar I think, but not a lot more

Nice mostly rock beach, not many places to get into the s as without walking over slippery rocks.

Set beneath the striking red volcanic cone, Playa de Montaña Roja is one of Tenerife’s most unique and scenic beaches. The vast stretch of golden sand and the dramatic backdrop of the mountain create a truly spectacular setting. It’s perfect for a peaceful walk, swimming, or simply relaxing while taking in the natural beauty of the landscape. The nearby dunes and coastal views make it a photographer’s dream and a must-visit for anyone seeking a quiet escape with unforgettable scenery.

Mirador en Playa Flamingo is a must-visit scenic viewpoint located in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. Perched above the stunning Playa Flamingo, this spot offers visitors breathtaking panoramic views of the coastline and the vast Atlantic Ocean. It's an ideal place for photography enthusiasts and those seeking relaxation amidst nature's beauty. The area features a semi-circular sandy beach nestled in a small bay, providing excellent protection from wind and waves—perfect for families with children or non-swimmers.
In the western part of the town offers a semi-circular sandy beach and, thanks to its lower location, good protection from wind and waves. It is located in a small bay, only separated from numerous terrace restaurants, bars and shopping opportunities as well as hotels by the beautiful beach promenade. Here there is no car traffic.
Alex S — Google review
Small very sandy beach with a wall protector from large waves so great for young children.
Darren S — Google review
As miradors go, this one is unimpressive and fairly pointless other than to hang a lock apparently. The position does offer you a good view however across the ocean to Fuerteventura, down onto the lovely Flamingo Beach and behind across Tui Blue Flamingo Hotel.

This view point is stunning!! Most beautiful thing i had seen in the whole of playa blanca. So wholesome. Its a must visit if you are around the area.

Must see a beautiful place to watch sunset and take a walk or even go to the beach
Lates P — Google review
A really nice viewpoint that overlooks the beach and out to sea. It is worth a visit to just sit down and take in the view and peacefulness of the area. The viewpoint was very clean and well maintained and it was nice to read some of the padlocks on the railings.
Wayne H — Google review
A beautiful viewpoint has been ruined by the senseless activity of simple souls who have hung love locks all over the place. The fact that you're copying thousands of others before you already shows that you're simple.

We thought this was the most beautiful beach in the local area and also one of the quietest which was a lovely bonus. We had a few lovely trips here during our stay and recommended to others whilst there and since returning.

Playa Dorada is a beautiful sandy beach with crystal clear water, making it perfect for families with small children or those looking to relax. The atmosphere is generally quiet and friendly, providing a great place to unwind. Despite being busy at times, the clean water and pleasant surroundings make it highly recommended for a peaceful beach day. Additionally, the area offers accessible facilities and friendly locals who go out of their way to provide extra support, ensuring a comfortable experience for all visitors.
Around 10 mins walk from Playa Blanca, one of the best beaches in the area, good for families with small children or for anyone to relax. Nice golden sand and the water is clean and calm. There is a restaurant with a nice view over the beach where you can enjoy a drink or food. There are other restaurants and bars in the area, and a nice promenade along the beach, lovely for a walk.
Andy — Google review
A typical resort beach located right in the heart of the resort area. It’s crowded with tourists, offering plenty of loungers and a few spots for those who prefer laying down their own towels. While convenient for resort guests—especially with a large parking area nearby—there are quieter, more scenic beaches elsewhere on the island for those seeking a more peaceful experience..
Marek D — Google review
Beautiful beach with sunbeds available if you get there early enough. Sea is quite calm and good for swimming and snorkeling. You can park near the road and walk down easily. There are a few snack bars and shops near by. There is a single shower which can have long queues (why did they only install 1???).
Stephen L — Google review
Amazing beach! Spectacular sunset views, turquoise water, affordable sun loungers (4 euro per item!), beautiful sand, showers, toilets, beach bars. What else you could ask for?? Only downside is when you have to leave home..
Dudo47ZG — Google review
Stayed for 5 days, visited the beach 4 days out of the 5. Lovely sandy beach, sea was calm whilst we were there but one of the days there was a strong undercurrent. Gets very deep very quickly depending on the tide state, 3 steps and i was out of my depth at one point.
Chris R — Google review
Whilst the schools were not out and so all holiday makers from various locations have yet to descend this was the busiest beach by far that we visited in early July. We arrived around midday and didn't find a lounger - i wasn't actually sure if we could rent one as there no signs so they may have been for hotel user only. But the sea was lovely after going in, considerable drop after about 8 foot in, so people with young kids be wary.
John B — Google review
Nice beach, clean sand and water. Great location. One can rent sun beds with or without umbrella, 4 euro each as of now, pay by cash or card, and even get an official receipt. The only drawback is absence of changing rooms, which is strange for such a popular place.
Leonid A — Google review
Really beautiful free sandy beach. It's protected with rocks, so waves wouldn't get too high. The water gets deep quite fast. High tide must go quite high because the sand is wet almost all the way up to the edge. I could find one shower, in the middle, but it had almost no pressure. Could not find a toilet. There are restaurants nearby. There are plenty of free parking spots on the roadsides.

Italian restaurant
Restaurante Casale Franco is positioned advantageously on top of a shopping center, offering a contemporary terrace that overlooks Playa Blanca's beach. This well-liked Italian establishment serves all the traditional dishes one would expect, including notably delicious pizzas prepared in an authentic wood-fired oven fueled exclusively by olive wood. The pizzas are made with handcrafted fermented dough and topped with fresh ingredients. Additionally, Casale Franco excels in baking various other breads on-site and preparing handmade pastas.
Great Italian: amazingly tasting pizzas (wood furnace) with a crispy bottom and fresh produce on top. Great pastas and affordable cocktails. Be aware; they are not easily visible from the boulevard and you need to walk up a couple of stairs but this place really stands out qualitatively from most other restaurants near Playa Blanca!
Raymond C — Google review
Food here Is just top notch. We ordered (family of 4) the pizza and the spaghetti bolegnese didn't left a bite it was that fresh. Deserts tased like it was all home made and fresh. In my eye's best place to dine out in playa blanca
Billy S — Google review
Have not been here for years. Food is still as good as what I remember. However, I feel the restaurant lacks atmosphere. My husband loved his Pizza and I enjoyed my Pasta. Portions are very large.
Mandy C — Google review
Went here with my friends and the view was spectacular and I enjoyed that part but the waiting time for the food was about an hour. Only one person got their meal 30 mins in while the rest had to wait an additional 20 minutes. The bolognese was spectacular but that was the only good thing. The pizzas were too doughy and had way too much cheese. The cheese used wasn’t good quality either. I also got a pumpkin ravioli that was terrible. I was only able to eat one ravioli because i couldn’t stomach any more. I would only recommend the bolognese and the focaccia, everything else that I got was bad.
Drea S — Google review
You would not look twice from the seafront path, but this place is fab. The food is great, always reliably delicious, and the staff are super friendly. We have been numerous times and have had great food and experiences; this year is no exception. This year's absolute fave from the menu is the pork with crispy roast potatoes.
Carolyn M — Google review
A must visit whilst in Playa Blanca , one of the nicest pizzas I've ever had (and I've travelled 🇮🇹) , you will not be disappointed. The perfect garlic dip for all those Aioli fanatics. By far the nicest meal we had on our trip Staff are friendly and attentive , they even brought out our pizzas cut in half as they heard two of us were sharing. Decent size portions we had 4 starters and 3 mains between 3 and had to one of us took half a pizza home. The pasta fungi is sensational and would highly recommend. The restaurant itself is a lovely little set up, and the bill was reasonably priced and worth every single penny. You must go here 🤣
Stephanie ' — Google review
A lovely setting with a gorgeous view and very friendly service. However, wait time was far too long - not the server's fault as they were working very hard, but we waited nearly an hour for our pizza! The pizzas themselves were ok but could have been great - far too thick to be a neapolitan pizza and had dried herbs rather that fresh basil!
Louisamarie7 — Google review
PROPER Pizza. Excellent wood fired pizza. Loaded with top quality toppings. I had the "crudo". Parma ham, rocket and Parmesan shavings. The dough is so light and has an excellent crisp crust. The flavour from the oven shines through. Proper mozzarella and lovely tangy base sauce makes for a really superior pizza. The restaurant is located in a bit of a snidy looking "Shopping centre" full of kebab shops and a Burger King randomly but please don't let that put you off going in. The dough needs to be experienced and at only 15 euros for the pizza I had it was extremely good value.

Mediterranean restaurant
Sebastyans is a charming Greek restaurant located in Playa Blanca, offering authentic and delicious Greek cuisine. The restaurant provides a stunning sea view with sliding glass panels, creating a spectacular dining experience. Guests can enjoy a variety of delectable starters such as shared platters and salmon carpaccio served with cheese shavings, capers, olive oil, and toasted bread.
We decided to try Sebastyans and change from the regular restaurants in Playa Blanca, and what a great decision it was. It's a lovely restaurant with ocean views and white linen table cloths. The service was too class and definitely the best food we've had on this holiday. We shared a Greek 5 hummus dips which came with small hot pita breads. I chose the pork belly for my main, crispy crackling with mash and veg, absolutely delicious. My wife chose the chicken in skewers with various cabbage and salads well presented with their own dressing. The food here is gorgeous and the staff are so nice.
Paul D — Google review
We reserved our table the day before because we had visited on previous holidays and it was always very busy. Certainly worth booking ahead. Excellent meal, fast and attentive service and a beautiful view at our window table. We had tzatziki to share as a starter with some extra bread, I had dolmades for my main and my husband had chicken souvlaki. We also shared a Greek salad. Loved the olives - not many places have proper Kalamata olives but they do here and they are very nice. Food was presented very well. Portions are generous and we took our leftovers away to eat for lunch the following day. We will be back again soon!

Outstanding restaurant, came here twice during my holiday duration, was impressed both times, the food is outstanding, the grilled octopus is a must try starter, the charcoal grilled steak is also another main dish that is a must try for anyone coming to this restaurant, the outdoor dining area looking over the sea and beach is a nice addition to the brilliant hospitality, the service was exemplary and the staff are very polite and friendly from start to finish.

I dined in Sebastyan's Greek restaurant in Playa Blanca last night. The restaurant had one of the finest sea views in Playa Blanca and the sliding glass panels the full length of the restaurant gives all the diners a spectacular vista. I had the salmon carpaccio to start which was served with thin cheese shavings, capers, olive oil and toasted bread pieces on the side. It was substantial and delicious. For the main I had the Roast Belly Pork, served with mashed potato, vegetables and a serious jus which I had to request a little bit more of as it was so tasty. A very extensive dining menu with so many delicious dishes on offer it is hard to decide but which caters for most tastes. Lovely wine list. I had an italian Valpolicella Ripasso which was very fruity and well priced at €35. The only negative for me was the volume of the music played just before closing time. A little too loud for me. The waitress I had serving me was very efficient and friendly and did an excellent job in a very busy restaurant.

A lovely Greek restaurant on the outskirts of Playa Blanca. This is our second visit and although the food isn't cheap it's certainly worth at least one visit while on holiday.

We have been in Playa Blanca for 12 nights and we have ate at Sebastyan's twice and both times we have had a fantastic time, food was excellent, the staff were both friendly and helpful. Also with great views from restaurant while eating your meal. I would also advise that you book a table, so you aren't disappointed it was easy on WhatsApp

We were planning to go to Italian rest but we saw greek and jump in. First of añl decoration is not related with Greek style, its like it was a luxury restaurant before and turn to greek. Second ; i think not the owner nor the chef has no relation with greece. Saganaki they made grill hellimi , its not saganaki at all. Saganaki is a different cheese and different method … But anyway ; the main dish i chose dolmades , the leaves were tough but at the end i catch some taste from greece. That made me happy… We order also santorini ( chicken ) don’t try , you can cook at home better - sorry :( The waiters are well prepared for tourists ;)

Indian restaurant
The Curry House, situated adjacent to Playa Blanca harbor, is an ideal choice for lunch or dinner. Despite its unpolished exterior, the exceptional cuisine compensates for it. Managed by Rubel, a native of India, this restaurant provides a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the delectable dishes. Their menu offers genuinely spicy curries with a heat scale to guide your selection. I opted for level 7 and was pleasantly surprised by the satisfying warmth.
Visit playa blanca 2 or 3 times per year This is an absolute gem of a restaurant with a consistantly high standard. Really friendly , with top quality food . Do not miss the meat samosas, chicken tikka and garlic chicken which are delicious for curry experts and beginners . The range is great and the heat levels authentic . Medium is medium and hot is hot !! The take away option is top class too and you can wait on the terrace with a great pint or two . 100% recommend.

Wonderful! As I write this we have eaten here twice in our two week holiday & might make it a third time before we leave. The food is perfectly cooked and plentiful, the quality of the meat in all the dishes we tried has been top quality. The staff are great. Friendly and attentive enough but not overbearing. They don't rush your food out after each course, you're given time to digest and enjoy. The view isn't too bad either. There is a large selection of curry houses in playa blanca but this is our new favourite.

As residents of PB, we normally go to another Indian establishment. I hadn't been here for around 3 years. Six of us had poppadoms then mains. I think I was unlucky as everyone enjoyed the food, especially the lamb biryani. For me the issues were; The garlic naan was dried out. The lemon rice had bits of lemon, skin and all, which I had to pick out. The chicken was not tender (overcooked) although the curry itself was very tasty. I'd be willing to give it another go but sadly wasn't very impressed by my food.

We ordered food for collection and takeaway…my husband went into the restaurant and ordered our food for which he waited approximately 15minutes. He said the atmosphere whilst he was waiting was very friendly. The food was still piping hot when we got back to our villa. Our experiences with Indian takeaways have been varied, however we can definitely say this was one of the nicest we have had. Thankyou.

We had such a great experience at Curry House in Lanzarote. The food was amazing !!! everything tasted super fresh and full of authentic Indian flavours. You can tell it’s all made with care and proper ingredients. But honestly, what really stood out to us was the customer service. We were greeted by a really friendly guy who made us feel so welcome right from the start. The whole team was attentive and kind without being over the top. If you’re in Lanzarote and craving Indian food, definitely check this place out. Great food and even better service. We’ll 100 percent be back!

Playa de las Coloradas is a beach with a mix of sand and stones, featuring a promenade overlooked by an 18th-century castle on the clifftop. A coastal path from the east end of the Promenade leads to Playa de Las Mujeres in about 15 to 20 minutes, offering opportunities for swimming and snorkeling. The beach has been improved and is now pleasant for families, with clear waters suitable for late afternoon and early evening swims.
This was our local beach staying in Sandos Papagayo hotel next to it. Great for late afternoon and early evening swims. Some decent snorkeling up the eastern arm of the bay but be careful of the swell/rocks. We also swam and snorkelled the beaches east of here including Mujeres and Papagayo and these are prettier but Colorades is still a lovely beach and good for swimming

An historical Monument on the outskirts of Playa Blanca, well worth the short walk from the bustling town. You can't go inside but can climb the stairs. Stunning views all around

It's definitely worth a visit. You can't go inside, but you can go up the steps. Some beautiful veiws. The walk is quite easy from the shops.

One of the must see of Playa Blanca, I love to go kayaking underneath it... stunning landscape and views of Fuerteventura in clear sky days.

The Castillo de San Marcial de Rubicón, also known as the Castle of Femés, was a fortress located in the municipality of Yaiza on the island of Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands. It was built in the 15th century, specifically in 1404, during the early stages of the European conquest of the Canary Islands. This castle was constructed to protect the first European settlement in the archipelago, the Bishopric of San Marcial del Rubicón, established by the Norman conquerors Jean de Béthencourt and Gadifer de La Salle. It was strategically located near the Rubicón area to defend against potential attacks, particularly from pirates or indigenous resistance. Unfortunately, the castle was destroyed over time, and today no significant remains of the structure are visible. However, its historical importance is remembered as a key part of the early colonization of Lanzarote.

A nice viewpoint that is worth the visit. A small fort that is placed here overlooking the coastline. Unfortunately you're not able to enter it. but nevertheless a good place for a walk and sightseeing. Its also easily accessible from the nearby boulevard. If you can bear the heat during daytime you might want to walk a bit further South to Papagayo beach.

Old fortress to keep a watch for pirates, sign near by with information regarding the fort, easily accessible with stunning views in all directions, worth a stop if in the vicinity of the building.

We found this spot by accident and were amazed by the view and the area around it. Definitely a must-see when you are in the neighborhood.

"Man in the Water" is a unique sculpture located in the Marina, standing in the middle of the water. It's fascinating to observe this curious artwork while fish swim around it.
Lovely to just stand there watching the fish swimming around.

Restaurant
Liken Restaurante, located in the heart of Marina Rubicon, is a vibrant modern restaurant with an open kitchen and impressive wine cellar. The food standard is excellent, especially the fish and steak dishes. The oysters and blue lobster special are highly recommended. While not a tapas bar, it offers incredible starters that make it worth a visit before moving on to other places.
Beautiful place to eat, atmosphere and decor lovely. Waiter told us all about the specials, to which I tried the local fish, my partner had the suckling pig, delicious. Would definitely recommend, especially the liken cocktail

Undoubtedly the best food in the port. Creative and very ably cooked. Very good wine menu too. New surroundings and excellent port view if eating at lunch time. We booked after asking a customer who was coming out last night would they go back. They said they went 3 times last year and would do the same this year. An excellent reco so we booked for tonight and their reco was sound.

I took my husband here for our anniversary lunch. The setting was beautiful, the servers were amazing. We shared some tapas dishes as a starter which were the highlight of our trip. Truely exceptional. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone for a truely wonderful meal and dining experience.

The tomate de Lanzarote and the Gambas ajillo were excellent. The main dish was not remarkable but the chocolate mousse and the recuerdo abuela were unforgettable. We tried for the first time, and loved the El Grifo Ancestral. The service was rushed and a bit cold. Sadly, the very loud music did not invite a second visit.

Nice location and good service. The food is Ok but nothing memorabile to be honest. The dessert was a big no no..

Fabulous. Went with good friends for an absolutely lovely meal. The food was superb and the location and ambience is amazing. The presentation of the dishes was so professional. All in all highly recommend and we will be back in November.

Lovely restaurant. Food great and friendly staff. It gets really busy so I would recommend making a reservation. The restaurant is beautiful. We really enjoyed eating here

Overall: The fancy feel and decor of the restaurant pushed our expectations high, the food didn't live up to it. The service was okay but the atmosphere and architecture of the Liken was amazing. Food: The food was good but not impressive enough to live up to the impression of the restaurant so it was a bit underwhelming. One of us ordered a chicken thigh. It was supposed to come with a portion of veg but came with a single carrot. Service: They were nice but lacked some of the charm that makes other restaurants stand out. However, to be fair, our server (for most of the time) was new to the business, being his 2nd day but the other ones were still lacking. After our main, some of our plates were cleared away (as not all could be carried in one trip) but no one came back to clear the rest until over 5 minutes later. A dessert menu was offered but didn't come after another 5 minutes and we were only given 2 (we were a party of 4). Asked for the bill but didn't come for more than 5 minutes. Atmosphere: Astonishing decor and theme with phenomenal paintings and lights that set the scene and come alive at night. Open plan with a beautiful view of the sea and port.

Restaurant
Restaurante La Cubierta is a fantastic dining spot with amazing food and service. The restaurant offers stunning views of the harbor from its terrace, making it a perfect place for a leisurely meal. Guests have raved about the delicious dishes, such as stuffed peppers with prawns, perfectly cooked squid and octopus, and a hot pot featuring octopus, prawns, and mushrooms. Additionally, the restaurant is accommodating to dietary restrictions like gluten intolerance and provides options for gluten-free meals.
Excellent views and excellent service . staff very friendly. We were served by a lady called Lola who was so friendly. We ordered chicken cordon bleu and a cod fillet both were excellent. And cooked perfectly. First time visiting this restaurant would definitely recommend. Views of the marina were lovely.

Food was amazing and portion sizes were very generous. We ordered garlic prawns, Iberian pork and a fillet steak and all dishes were excellent. Staff were very friendly and polite, would definitely return :)
Amy D — Google review
Nice tapas on the marina and was very quiet when we visited around 5.30pm. Service was very quick (a bit too quick) and all tapas was brought at once (we normally like a bit at a time). Had to get up to order more drinks and pay for bill, the place was completely empty so no excuse there. Paid 90 euros for 5 tapas, 2x g and t and 2x glasses of wine. Not cheap but reasonable value. Finally, we came with a baby and was told the indoor area was fully reserved so we sat outside. Between sitting down and leaving no one took a reserved table so can only think they don't like babies in the restaurant.

Friendly, delicious and a beautiful view! We didn’t plan to eat here but when we saw the upper level, chilled restaurant… we quickly changed plans! Firstly the staff are all friendly, speak very good English and are good at their jobs ⭐️ Secondly the food was amazing! The simple but beautiful flavours of the cazuela pulpo/mixed seafood and mushrooms were unforgettable! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fabulous food and service. I had the Iberian Pork and it was the best meal I ate whilst in Lanzarote. Fabulous, attentive and kind (our party included a very sleepy 3 year old) service. Would highly recommend La Cubierta in its idyllic setting on the quiet side of the marina.

In all our visits to Playa Blanca we hadn’t made it in here yet for some reason. Well I wish we had gone years ago, the lunch was really good. I liked it as there were some different options available to the usual menu you see, little different twists on the theme. Staff will advise you on portion sizes, note that starters are not uk starters they are meal sizes.
JWG U — Google review
We had an average meal here. Starters were tasty and plentiful but mains (hake and octopus) were disappointing. Staff seemed generally disinterested. On a more positive note, the restaurant has a nice view of the Rubicon Marina.

Amazing place, amazing food, amazing service. We went for late lunch early dinner and there was no one except of our table so we were lucky as we got the waiter just for us. The food was amazing, the stuffed peppers with prawns were just wow. The squid and octopus were perfectly cooked and the octopus, prawns and mushrooms in a hot pot should I say was smth I've never tried but I could eat it again and again now. The view was just wow. This place was recommended to us and I could say that it is one of the best places we've eaten while in Lanzarote.

Beautifully cooked authentic food. The best fried squid and garlic prawns we've had this fortnight. Large delicious mussels. Used by the locals.

A lovely place to eat with crisp white table cloths and attentive and friendly staff. Good menu selection and food cooked to perfection. The seafood soup was delicious! They have various specials each day and the halibut on the day we were there was lovely, soft and flaky.

Very good restaurant in the marina, been to dine there on numerous occasions over the last 3 years. Our last holiday in October we dinned there on 3 occasion. The fish is excellent and very fresh. The staff and management are very intentive. Prices are not cheap but the quality is well worth paying for.

What a fantastic place. Good food fresh from the sea. With excellent service. I went in late evening with my children after a long day out and as you can imagine the children were approaching he end of thier patients, however a few small jokes from the staff and the kids were enjoying the experience too much to complain about tiredness. Thank you for looking after me and my family!!
