Loved it. They are setting up for Christmas. Very weird being so hot and seeing Christmas Decorations🤣🤣 can you tell we are visitors. The rubicorn cafe cart was lovely.
Wandered down the promenade soon after we arrived in the resort and came across the small shopping centre next to the Rubicon Marina. The area, leading, to and around the Marina is lovely. Plenty to see and do. We stopped at Lani's Snack Bar for something to eat. Service and food were excellent. Plan to revisit the area on Wednesday or Saturday to see the Market.
Lovely place with good shops and beautiful restaurants
Stunning little marina and boutique shopping area. A short 20min walk from.our hotel along the coastal path (Castillo Tagoro) just before sunset, you get an amazing view of the harbour and town (see photo). Some lovely places to eat out or drink or just walk around admiring the view and design of this lovely town. There are a few boutique stores for clothing and souvenirs.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Centro Commercial Rubicon, and I must say, it left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a sense of cleanliness and order that truly enhanced my shopping experience. First and foremost, I was impressed by the impeccable cleanliness throughout the entire mall. The floors were spotless, the restrooms were well-maintained, and the overall ambiance was inviting. It was evident that the management takes great pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, which made me feel comfortable and at ease during my visit. Another aspect that stood out to me was the wide range of options available when it came to food and clothing. The food court offered an array of choices, catering to various tastes and preferences. From local cuisine to international delicacies, there was something to satisfy every craving. Likewise, the clothing stores featured an impressive selection of fashionable clothing brands, ensuring that shoppers had plenty of options to choose from. However, it is worth mentioning that some items in the mall were on the expensive side. While the quality and variety were commendable, it's important to be mindful of your budget when shopping at Centro Commercial Rubicon. Nevertheless, I found that the overall experience justified the prices to some extent, as the mall provided a comfortable and enjoyable environment for shopping and dining. In addition to the cleanliness and variety, the mall's layout was well-designed, making navigation a breeze. Signage was clear and informative, making it easy to find the stores and amenities I was looking for. The staff members I encountered were friendly and helpful, ready to assist with any inquiries or directions needed. Overall, my experience at Centro Commercial Rubicon was a positive one. The cleanliness, extensive choice of food and clothing, and the overall pleasant ambiance left me impressed. While the prices may be a tad high, the quality and convenience offered made it worthwhile. Whether you're looking for a place to shop, dine, or simply enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, I highly recommend paying a visit to Centro Commercial Rubicon.
More like not shop and run. I don't like making negative reviews but in this case I have too. OK we visited this place about 4pm on Monday so not the best time. I would say about half the shops are not occupied. There was only a supermarket, perfume shop, somewhere for your nails and a few clothes shops. The small bowling alley was shut. We hoped to stay an hour or more but 10 minutes were enough. Disappointing 😞.
What a lovely Marina, great shops and lovely restaurants. Went end of April/May 2022 and there was a swimming pool there but due to covid / early in the season the pool area was still closed. Such a lovely atmosphere at the Marina and we went on market day which gave it even more charm. Well worth a visit. You won't be disappointed. Can't wait to go back again, loved it there.
Ok for a visit out of hotel few good shops, supermarket and chemist, right by the harbour with great views and nice places to grab a bite to eat. Also great little pools of fish to watch as you cross over the wooden bridges.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly welcoming and always ready to assist with anything I needed. A special mention goes to Magdalena, the animator, who was an absolute gem. She is such a kind and helpful person, always making sure everyone had a great time. Whether it was organizing activities or just offering a friendly smile, she made my stay even more enjoyable. I truly appreciated her warmth and dedication. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and unforgettable experience!
We stayed for 5 nights for my birthday trip in the dreams hotel and it had everything we needed it was perfect for us. From champagne/water on arrival to help with our bags to the room, We was very impressed already, we wish we booked a longer trip by the end holiday. The hotel is very nice, big and clean - lots to explore. The preferred club option was great and I would recommend to book a preferred club room that entitles you to a few extras on the holiday (separate optional pools, different breakfast area option, snack suites, mini bar in room restocked daily) The room was clean and spacious with our bed made daily and fresh towels&flannels. Great size balcony. The air con worked fine no problems, the bed was very comfy and the gown and slippers was good for the spa. We had a hour free for the spa and I had booked myself birthday massage which I must say was AMAZING and very relaxing. When we got back to the room I had a little birthday chocolate treat which was also a lovely touch thank you! We ate breakfast in the preferred club every morning and it was great with so much option. The QR code app that you scan upon check in is also great with everything you need to know about the hotel from spa reservations to dinner reservations/opening times, pool opening times, maps, entertainment times. Overall favourites from the hotel : Mini bar Preferred club breakfast Good few different restaurants Swim up pool bar Cleanliness of the hotel Activities to offer great location to walk out on the front each way 2 mins from the beach Fresh towels/flannels Spa
We've been coming to the same hotel for years, and this is the third Halloween we've had the pleasure of meet the animator Saray. She's always kind and has a smile for our children. We don't know what it is, but her way of connecting with kids is truly special. We hope to see her again on our next visit. This year we also met Pablo and Valentina, who were very kind to us. Thanks to the rest of the entertainment team Tim, Laszlo and Nora for their kindness and willingness to make our vacation unforgettable. Once again, we want to express our gratitude to the hotel and all the staff. We will definitely be back.
A deeply disappointing experience that does not live up to 5-star standards Our stay at this hotel was unfortunately full of disappointments ( August ) . The cleanliness issues alone were far beyond acceptable. On the very first night, we saw a cockroach in our room—which was already disturbing enough—but things got even worse. One time, we found a fake nail inside the bed ( which my wife doesn't use fake nails ) , and on another occasion, there were long strands of women’s hair left on the towels in the bathroom. This level of carelessness with basic hygiene is simply unacceptable. The food was repetitive, with almost the same dishes being served every two days. For a 5-star hotel, the lack of variety and quality was extremely disappointing. As for the staff, apart from a few exceptions, most were neither attentive nor friendly. Many behaved as if they were forced to be there. On top of that, they seemed to treat their own citizens more warmly while being noticeably colder and less helpful to other guests, which was very uncomfortable to witness. Another major issue happened by the poolside. We left briefly to have lunch (50 minutes ) , and when we returned, our towels had been removed from our sunbeds and given to another couple. This shows a complete lack of respect and extremely poor management. After all these experiences, I would neither return to this hotel nor recommend it to anyone.
We just spent 4 nights at this hotel. We had a nice time & it’s in an excellent location. The room has been nicely done, however there are parts of the hotel that definitely need an update (most doors & most public toilets). We had great service from all staff apart from the older man (on Wednesday 5th Nov) at the main pool who was dealing with the towels, he was just rude & unhelpful.
Cleanest hotel ever. Staff are outstanding! (in every department) Food is plentiful and delicious. (plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. Would recommend going as a preferred member! Perfect location. All my requests prior to arriving, were catered for. Questions, requests or issues are dealt with immediately. No bed wars here... Plenty around!
We really enjoyed our trip to Dreams. Highlights were proximity to the beach, local bars & restaurants. We enjoyed breakfast in both the main buffet and Portofino, exactly the selection of food you would expect. We ate once in the main buffet for an evening meal and once in the Portofino which was excellent. Other nights we would eat out at local restaurants and then visit the buffet back at the hotel for a selection of their deserts. Staff were all very friendly from the point of check-in to check-out. Room service was fine, we found it to be very clean and in excellent condition, no issues. Plenty to do in and around the hotel, an ideal location.
We had a wonderful time during our stay. The staff was incredible, knowledgeable, helpful, cheerful, they were all great. The room was spacious, immaculate and well appointed. The pools were very nice and they held some terrific games and activities where everyone had fun and a laugh. Food was wonderful as well. I would highly recommend this place and I do hope we can go back someday soon.

Here’s an expanded version: Playa Blanca is a wonderful beach and an ideal destination for families and visitors of all ages. The access is straightforward and well-designed, making it particularly convenient for children and elderly visitors, who can reach the sand and water without any obstacles. The beach itself is clean, well-maintained, and has beautiful, calm waters that are perfect for swimming or just relaxing at the shore. The atmosphere is peaceful yet lively, with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the sunshine. Beyond the beach, the area around Playa Blanca offers a good selection of restaurants, cafes, and shops, so you can easily spend the entire day here without needing to travel far for refreshments or entertainment. It’s the perfect blend of natural beauty and accessible amenities, making it a standout spot in Lanzarote for anyone looking to unwind. A great place to enjoy the island’s charm and a truly relaxing beach experience!
Nice sized beach right near to the promenade which has lots of shops, bars & restaurants. We were lucky to come here when it was less busy and got a nice view of the sun which was huge and low.
This was the beach we enjoyed the most during our holiday. It is not busy, there is a lots of place. Snorkelling is also possible we even spot an octopus, along with several types of fish. With the ferrys coming to the port, they bring some real big waves which is a lot of fun. There are 2 lifeguard present, and they really care for the people.
Small charming beach , plenty of shops and restaurants directly behind , which means you could do some shopping and after ,you could jump straight on to the sand and in to the water 💦. Usually not busy as most people go for bigger beaches in area. Looks especially beautiful if you wait until sundown.
Nice small beach, it was not crowded at all (in January). The lifeguard warns you if a ferry will make big waves, take it serious, the 2nd would have taken our bags and towels if we don't move. Water is clear.
very nice walk at the seafront, wild nature. The day we went there the sea was a bit rough and it was windy, but all beautiful. If you like shopping, this is also a good place. Plenty of restaurant and bars as well.
Nice area with plenty to do and as well as eat and drink we visited Playa Blanca for the market and again just to walk around and get some food and have a few drinks
Overall this resort has seen better days. There is a really nice harbour/promenade along the seafront with the former undergoing major building work. Once you venture up the steps (or ramp) to The tourist area of the town centre, your greeted by many boarded up stores and few which are left, mainly selling the same tat. This resort has much room for improvement but until then it’s nice but not brilliant. The highlight is definitely the promenade with it little shops and restaurants, access to a little sandy beach and amazing views across to Fuerteventura.

It is a part of hotel group but entrance is separate. I recommend buying pass for 1 -2 weeks. It’s way cheaper. Staffs are friendly. My children loved wave pool. Outside food is not allowed so you may end up buying all fried food they have on offer. I loved ice creams though. They have beach essentials in the shop in case you didn’t have time to buy. Definitely worth visiting 🙌
Nice compact waterpark with a lazy river, kids pool with slides and activity zone, a bigger wave pool and 5 water slides. Plenty of staff around to help. Lots of inflatables for the rides when we went. It also has lockers, toilets, shower areas and a nice food area with burgers, chips, pizzas, kebabs, fruit, ice cream and drinks.. We went wen it opened at 10am and stayed till 430pm and they also have on site photographers that take pictures that you can view during you stay and purchase. My smallest girl and middle boy loved it as it was just a nice size park and wasn't mental busy.
Splashes of Fun, Waves of Disappointment: A Honest Dive into Aqua Lava Short Review: Aqua Lava Water Park in Lanzarote offers a handful of fun features, including a wave pool, kiddies' splash zone, lazy river, and slides, but ultimately feels outdated and uninspiring. While younger children might enjoy the splash zone and the slides provide some thrills, the park suffers from visible wear and tear, a lack of imaginative theming, and overpriced food with no outside options allowed. If your hotel has a pool, you’re not missing much, though it could be worth a short visit if entry is included in your stay. With some much-needed investment, Aqua Lava could live up to its potential, but as it stands, it’s a fairly underwhelming experience. Longer - detailed review: Nestled along a dusty main road just a five-minute walk north of Playa Flamingo Beach lies Aqua Lava, a water park that feels as though it has seen better days. With its rusted metal fixtures, bleached paint, and an overall sense of wear and tear, the park presents an outdated and tired aesthetic. That said, we visited in December—far from peak season—which undoubtedly contributed to the quiet, almost empty feel of the place. For us, entry was included with our hotel package, so we felt it was worth at least one visit. While the park’s overall appearance left much to be desired, my son did have a lot of fun, which ultimately made the trip worthwhile. However, Aqua Lava offers a limited range of activities, so here’s a breakdown of what you can expect: 1. Beach Pool The medium-sized beach pool was equipped with an hourly wave machine that added some fun to the experience, albeit briefly. The pool used saltwater and was icy cold, which limited how much time we wanted to spend in it. It was adequate for a short swim but not particularly memorable. 2. Kiddies' Splash Zone This was one of the highlights of the park and is clearly designed with younger children in mind. With smaller slides and a climbing area topped off by a 10-minute bucket-dump feature, it’s a lively spot that younger kids would undoubtedly enjoy. While our children are a bit older now, it was clear that this section of the park is its most appealing feature. 3. Lazy River (Magma River) The Lazy River was unfortunately a letdown. Its short circuit felt uninspired, and the lack of decorative touches such as plants or themed elements left it feeling bare and uninviting. The water tubes sat deflated and unused, further adding to the overall sense of neglect. A little imagination and investment could make this a much more engaging feature. 4. Slides The park has five slides, four of which require a tube to ride. My son enjoyed these and, to be fair, the speed and thrill of the slides provided some genuine fun. The space bowl slide was a nice addition, but the slides overall felt like standard fare rather than an exciting experience. Like much of the park, they suffered from the same tired, uneventful aesthetic. 5. Restaurant Area As is often the case with water parks, the restaurant area was overpriced, and the park’s strict policy against bringing outside food meant we were left with no choice but to purchase from there. This could be an inconvenience for families planning a longer stay. Final Thoughts We only stayed at Aqua Lava for a couple of hours, which felt sufficient given the limited attractions and overall atmosphere. For visitors already staying in Lanzarote with access to a hotel pool, Aqua Lava doesn’t offer much you’d be missing. Families with younger children might enjoy the splash zone, but for most, this water park is unlikely to be a standout feature of their holiday. That said, the park has potential, and with some much-needed investment in branding, decor, and upkeep, it could become a more engaging and memorable destination. As it stands, Aqua Lava feels like a relic of a bygone era that’s in desperate need of some fresh life.
Visited with my 3 and 7 year olds and we were all slightly disappointed. As other reviews have noted the park is a bit shabby and could do with an upgrade. The food was fine (basic and fairly pricey - exactly as you’d expect) but the ordering system was clunky - only one electronic kiosk to order for everyone. We were dropped off at 10.30am by bus and were all very ready to go home at 3pm. We visited Rancho Texas the day after and had a much better all round experience/better value for money.
Fun few hours - totally recommend the half day pass (after 2pm arrival for discounted entry). There is a lazy river that you don’t need a ring for (but that’s the point isn’t it?) a few tube slides, a wave pool and a great kids pool with a MASSIVE bucket that dumps loads of cold water every 5 mins or so. Lockers are by the entrance so you can lock away your valuables and have fun without the worry.
Staying in the hotel connected ...seperate company . Clean & life guards are plenty The little cafe we get included as all inclusive .. Food great ...displayed to a high standard especially the salad . Good choices of food & drink . Cannot praise this water park enough. granchildren loved it especially the wave pool x Would reccommend .
Nice park, very clean and well kept. Not a full day for older children, but the food is good and the rides are entertaining. Certainly worth a visit.
Great little water park just minutes from Playa Blanca. Probably best for families up to early teens. It's compact - but in a good way for families. You can't bring in your own food - so be prepared for food bags being held in reception 😁. You can easily pop out to eat and go back in though! Amenities: - Shower rooms (not used by us) - Showers throughout the resort, weak water pressure but just to rinse off salt water - Canteen, a bit confusing as partially self service and 'to order', but quality is fine. Includes chips, nuggets, hotdogs, pasta, pizza slices, fruit, beer, fizzy and fruit drinks. All reasonable prices - Lazy river, decent size and good 'current'. Shallow water, so good for paddling too - 'Water House', with giant bucket splashing every 20mins (ish), 3/4 baby slides, various places to hide - Slides for small kids, by the Water House, one bendy and one quite wide for races - Wave pool, for dipping or wave surfing every hour. Exciting for kids 6+, but not too hectic! - 5 'adult' slides, for 120cm+, two for inflatables and 3 for bodies. Decent blend of 'open', 'closed' tubes, both fast and slow. Fine for kids aged 6yrs and beyond - Various chairs throughout the venue (no real sun loungers) General observations (good and bad): - Decent value even for a half day, if not full day - Compact so easy to stay close to family - Difficult to find shade by chairs, if arriving late - Limited reception staff, so queues possible when busy - Limited life guards, so parents must remain watchful - Sometimes difficult to get an inflatable as people would hold onto them after each ride. Lifeguards can help, but otherwise up to parents to get aggressive and snatch from people as required 😆. In fairness, this improved throughout the day - as people realised how to share (!!)

Lovely little sandy beach. A great spot for snorkelling and swimming. We went on the weekend, arriving late morning. There was still plenty of space and it never got super busy. It is also empty at sunset and is a lovely spot to chill. A good selection of bars/restaurants on the promenade, plus a handy little supermarket.
Cozy beautiful beach with clear water and sandy bottom. Sand is white (artificial), very pleasant compared to the black one on the whole island. 😀 Perfect for swimming. Vibe like at Calais in Cala d‘or in Mallorca. One point less since it’s small and full of kids.
A really lovely little, manmade sandy beach. Protected by the walls the water is super calm. Whilst the western edge is a bit rocky the eastern part of the beach is 100% sandy with zero issues walking in and our of the water. Lovely soft sand. I stayed at TUI Blue Flamingo Beach which is the hotel right on this beach. It can and does get busy but not too busy. There are a couple shops, restaurants, bars, a cafe and an ice cream parlour overlooking the beach. It is served by a 13km promenade. There are no services on this beach such as toilets, changing rooms or rentable sun loungers. The mini marts have lockers you can rent.
Where do I even begin? We made a terrible mistake by booking our holiday at Merry Hill Store. My husband, daughter, and I were all excited to go, especially after our agent highly recommended it. We arrived late at night and were sent to a room the furthest away from anything, across a road. To make matters worse, the key cards didn’t work. I went back to reception and asked for a room closer to the front of the hotel, away from any open road. They gave me room A37, but the toilet was making noises like a T-Rex, and the shower didn’t work properly. These issues were reported on the first day. The TUI team on site, on the chat, and the hotel staff advised us multiple times that maintenance would fix it, but they never did. They didn’t even go to our room at any point. On the morning of day 5, they offered to move rooms, but it was day 5 of a 7-day stay! I was given a key for another unsafe and isolated room, just as bad as the first. The ceiling had been replaced multiple times and looked like it had been lifted and shifted out of Baghdad. There were cracked tiles everywhere that people could get hurt, and multiple chunks of concrete steps were missing from areas, leaving raised metal drains that could cut open people’s feet. The entire hotel was dirty. From the eatery to the stairs leading to the rooms, there was rubbish and hair everywhere. It was clear that the hotel needed money spent on it rather than TUI sending that money elsewhere. The food was also a major issue. There was fish in the cheesey pasta, undercooked food, and basic hygiene was missing from the dirty plates. Hair was even found in the food as it was placed on the surface. It was just disgraceful. On another day, a child was sick in the food area, and the family was not seen for a few days after. I requested a downgrade of our food option, as evidenced by the photo I have (it’s £934). Multiple placards around the hotel advertised the costs of upgrading. The place is a health and safety hazard. We’ve spent over £1000 eating out of the hotel because of its poor quality and dangerous conditions. Why can’t you downgrade if you can upgrade? It’s the same process in reverse! After speaking to other people, I discovered that the entire hotel is in the same state, and the staff are fully aware of it. The TUI rep, Dylan, offered to sort my late check-out, but it was only until 2 pm because they had others coming into our room. I asked how he could possibly put people in the room knowing its condition, but he said that was his problem to sort out if they complained. He’s sent me a link to refund me the 20 euros to the wrong mobile number, which seems like it’s been done on purpose, I’ve asked the TUI team on the app a number of times to correct this and they still haven’t. An hour until we leave, and the receptionist recommended using the ‘spa’ shower, advising us to book it quickly as they get booked up. We went down to use them, and my 9-year-old daughter and I went to the ladies’ room. Next thing, there was a crash, and the shower door came off, hitting my daughter. She slipped and fell onto the raised basin, where there was a rusty latch or screw that had broken off. She has severe bruising and is screaming. I ran to the receptionist, who said she had told the hotel and TUI staff that they were not safe repeatedly, but her advice had been ignored. This clearly indicates that despite being told that there’s clearly no care from either TUI or hotel management. The TUI manager and the deputy hotel manager came down to speak to us. I asked the hotel manager to fetch a doctor, and he got the doctor to check Scarlett’s ribs to make sure they weren’t broken. This hotel is dangerously unsafe. I’m horrified that there’s no accountability or ownership of the issues we raised. Multiple laws are being broken, and it ended with my child sustaining a serious injury. I have photos of every point I’ve made above, including the injury she sustained.
Beautiful beach. Crystal clear waters. Small fish swimming around you and near to no rocks on the left hand side of the beach. One of the best beaches in Lanzarote.
We really enjoyed this beach - there were shops near and the beach was nice also! Perfect with kids but even without!
Very nice beach with calm water. Only thing is there's no sun loungers or umbrellas for rent. We spend there several hours on one day as it was cloudy but other days, Playa Dorada was our favourite.
Lovely beach and a nice promenade full of shops and restaurants. I really recommend you give this place a visit it staying in playa blanca

Lovely views around the lighthouse area. well worth a walk from Playa Blanca for those able to do so Bus 30 takes you back for a few euro
I was staying at Sandos Atlantic Gardens site, and walked nearly up to the lighthouse one afternoon where the promenade path finished but did not walk the final few hundred metres due to the uneven ground. I took some photos of the sunset on a previous evening which was spectacular
Love this place, on the end of the island, you can walk to via a well built block paved path, all the way from playa blanca.
Was close by to where we were staying and was a lovely spot to watch the sunset!
The best lighthouse we have visited all year…. Also a great excuse for a beer on the way back.
Great viewing point, a must visit for sunset photography. You can easily drive here, no problem parking, but if you feel energetic a decent hour walk from Playa Blanca.
Very run down area. Old light house build is interesting but the new tower is difficult to see close up.
nice quiet place, black rocks and furteventura in the distance. easily to be reached by car, enought place to park several cars or campervans. looks to be a good fishing spot as well.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the stunning island of Lanzarote, and my journey took me to the southernmost point of the island, the Faro de Punta Pechiguera. This extraordinary destination left an indelible impression on me, as it combines breathtaking natural beauty with a rich history that transports visitors to another time. Upon arriving at Faro de Punta Pechiguera, I was immediately captivated by the picturesque landscape. Nestled on a rocky cliff, the lighthouse stands tall and proud, offering panoramic views of the sparkling azure waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The sight of waves crashing against the rugged coastline created a mesmerizing spectacle that will forever be etched in my memory. As I explored the surroundings, I discovered that Faro de Punta Pechiguera is more than just a lighthouse; it is a gateway to the island's past. The lighthouse, built in the 19th century, serves as a testament to the maritime heritage of Lanzarote. Its charming architecture and pristine white exterior are a stark contrast to the volcanic landscape, adding a touch of elegance to the rugged terrain. The extensive pathways surrounding the lighthouse allow visitors to take leisurely strolls while marveling at the raw beauty of Lanzarote's southern coast. The unspoiled views stretch as far as the eye can see, with dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and golden sandy beaches inviting exploration. I found myself immersed in the tranquility of the location, basking in the warm sunshine and breathing in the crisp, salty air. One of the highlights of my visit was witnessing the mesmerizing sunset from Faro de Punta Pechiguera. As the sun descended into the horizon, painting the sky with a breathtaking palette of hues, the entire landscape transformed into a dreamscape. It was a moment of sheer serenity and awe, leaving me grateful to be a part of such a magnificent spectacle. In conclusion, Faro de Punta Pechiguera is an enchanting destination that embodies the essence of Lanzarote's southern charm. From the rugged coastline and panoramic views to the rich maritime history and unforgettable sunsets, this place offers an unforgettable experience for all travelers. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a history buff, or simply seeking a moment of tranquility, a visit to Faro de Punta Pechiguera is an absolute must.
Nice views and a pleasant walk along the coast. Easy enough to cycle to from Playa Blanca. Not much else there.

It was amazing to walk along the waterfront and manage to get to Castillo de San Marcial and be able to see picturesque views around. Highly recommend for a chilled day walk.
An historical Monument on the outskirts of Playa Blanca, well worth the short walk from the bustling town. You can't go inside but can climb the stairs. Stunning views all around
It's definitely worth a visit. You can't go inside, but you can go up the steps. Some beautiful veiws. The walk is quite easy from the shops.
One of the must see of Playa Blanca, I love to go kayaking underneath it... stunning landscape and views of Fuerteventura in clear sky days.
The Castillo de San Marcial de Rubicón, also known as the Castle of Femés, was a fortress located in the municipality of Yaiza on the island of Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands. It was built in the 15th century, specifically in 1404, during the early stages of the European conquest of the Canary Islands. This castle was constructed to protect the first European settlement in the archipelago, the Bishopric of San Marcial del Rubicón, established by the Norman conquerors Jean de Béthencourt and Gadifer de La Salle. It was strategically located near the Rubicón area to defend against potential attacks, particularly from pirates or indigenous resistance. Unfortunately, the castle was destroyed over time, and today no significant remains of the structure are visible. However, its historical importance is remembered as a key part of the early colonization of Lanzarote.
A nice viewpoint that is worth the visit. A small fort that is placed here overlooking the coastline. Unfortunately you're not able to enter it. but nevertheless a good place for a walk and sightseeing. Its also easily accessible from the nearby boulevard. If you can bear the heat during daytime you might want to walk a bit further South to Papagayo beach.
Old fortress to keep a watch for pirates, sign near by with information regarding the fort, easily accessible with stunning views in all directions, worth a stop if in the vicinity of the building.
We found this spot by accident and were amazed by the view and the area around it. Definitely a must-see when you are in the neighborhood.

DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!! The instructors are super friendly and helpful. Doesn’t matter whether you’re a beginner diver or more experienced, it’s fun for everyone. They will take their time to explain everything really well and they respect the ocean and its life! If you want some quality pictures underwater, you can always ask Bob, he’s a legend!!
Diving with this team was an unforgettable experience! Everything was perfectly safe from start to finish, and I would 100% recommend it to anyone. All the instructions were explained in detail, so I felt confident the whole time. The people who guided us were absolutely amazing – friendly, professional, and patient. Thanks to them, we could really enjoy the beauty of the underwater world without any stress. Truly an experience I will never forget!
Amazing experience! From start to finish, the team was incredibly professional and welcoming. The introduction with fascinating facts helped me understand the meaning, history of the museum, and the island itself. I learned so many new skills while feeling completely comfortable and safe throughout the experience. The staff went above and beyond with their support – I was genuinely impressed and positively surprised. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and educational adventure!
12 points on a 10-point scale for the Diving College’s friendly and professional approach to newbie divers! Loved everything, especially their sense of humour! :) The instructors helped me overcome an ear problem, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the wonderful underwater experience! I highly recommend that team to anyone hesitating where to do their first dive!
Absolutely amazing experience! Very patient and professional team, great tutors. Can't recommend it highly enough. We felt safe and taken care of all the time. The museum itself was otherworldly, and I would love to come back one day.
We had the most excellent experience at the dive college, all instructor where very helpful and knowledgeable. We not dive for some time and did a refresher course and museo Atlántico dive in the afternoon. Morning dive after some skills in the water of the shore seen loads of fish with instructor pointing out octopus and many fish to been seen, the afternoon session start with a very detailed brief. We joined up with other groups who where novice and the group work really well and made it experience better the boat trip was great as you get to do a backwards roll off the boat. There is loads to see at the site It a long day 5+ hours but worth every minute one of the best dive experience I have ever had and would recommend it all day long, thanks to the time for making it a great experience 😀
Great experience, Bart and the rest of the team were great and explained everything to us! Unfortunately I didn’t last too long at the museum, and I had to go to the surface, but what I did do, was amazing!
Loved everything about this experience. Core memory. Wished it was longer during the museum, I wanted to explore more, it felt rushed. But I still enjoyed it.

Great trip. Cheap prices can go with any company all the same just look at timings. Make sure you're on time as it will leave you behind if you're late. We got there around 20 minutes before departure so we didn't miss it! Booked online via website as all the companies local offer some good prices some bad. didn't really know who to trust. Paid on a credit card also so if it was a scam it wasn't my money 💰🤣 but all good bought tickets have to enter passport numbers online. And take your passport with you. No-one checked but you never know. Sent me QR codes via email 2 out and 2 return for the both of us. A lot of the same stuff is in both places. But nice to see Two islands.
Took the express to Fueteventura on day trip. Not the quickest at 12mph, but the views made time pass quickly!. Staff friendly and purchased coffee and snacks from small on board cafe.
I will explain this because there is insufficient information provided by Fred Olsen both when you book and at the port. There are two catamarans, one big one which takes cars and a small one which doesn't. The big one is 10 minutes quicker. It leaves from a bigger quay which is straight ahead as you enter the port the other side of the large white building. The smaller one leaves from the end of a smaller quay to the left next to all the little pleasure boats. If you are a foot passenger you can travel on both but the bigger quicker ferry is twice the price so not worth it. If you travel with the competitor Lineas Romero it's the same price as the cheap FO ferry but as quick as the big ferry. Therefore I recommend them rather than Fred Olsen. You need a compatible ID to travel. They scan it with a handheld device as you board. Check the website for what they accept. As a British citizen only passports work I think.
Cool ferry, I like the way the staff handled on-boarding. The crossing was also ok, you could walk on deck if you wanted.
Ferry crossing from porto blanco to furteventura. Time for crossing half an hour. Price €38 return trip per person. If you book in advance it will be 3euros cheaper. Also remember to bring your passport with you ..no travel allowed without photo identification.
Booked crossing from Lanz to Fueteventura with a return and was told when booking at the terminal in Lanz it would be fine to change times on return. Sadly when we wanted to go back on an earlier ferry was asked for nearly as much as the tickets cost originally! Disappointed.....
Off on a day trip to fuerteventura. More information needs to be on the web site. Tried to book a day trip over 2 days. We just turned up in the end and brought a ticket from the ticket booth for 29.00 euros return. Last boat back 6.30pm takes around 40 minuits to get across. Make sure u have passports. And if you do book on line you will need to get bording passes from the ticket booth. So many people queued up and was told to go and get bording pass. The boat will not wait.
Recently used the new Fred Olsen passenger only fast ferry. Beautiful clean boat, well spaced out seats. Fast and on time both directions. The staff on board where 5 star. Highly recommend.

Naturally formed pools for swimming & relaxing, with views of the coast & an abandoned hotel.
Slide 1 of 8
Gorgeous natural pools with crystal clear water - definitely one of the highlights of the island! The place is easy to find. I would recommend to leave your car at the parking and walk about 25 minutes to the cliff. Then you will need good sneakers and relative dexterity to walk the rocky cliff for about 10 minutes. Definitely worth it it though! I would not recommend with children.
We followed directions to the abandoned hotel on Google maps. The road is very bumpy so we had to leave our rental car and walk. We then discovered some cliffs with some pools at the bottom, near the sea. However it wasn’t safe to go anywhere near the pools due to the waves. We think it was high tide because i can’t imagine how anyone can go down to the pools and not get swept away. Overall was quite interesting to see the choppy sea and massive waves but wasn’t safe. One of the pictures is of the pools when we discovered them and the next is the waves which appeared just 10 seconds after the first pictures, quite scary really!
The worst decision of our trip. The place is hidden, and it’s almost impossible to get close by car without damaging it. After parking, you have to cross dangerous, wet volcanic rock. My girlfriend slipped and ended up covered in cuts from the sharp rocks. The tide can completely cover the path, making it truly dangerous. Other than that, nothing special: the “pool,” if you can even call it that, lives up to its name — it’s little more than a puddle, which is why the locals gave it that name "charcones". The pictures are heavily Photoshopped.
It’s a beautiful place, but please watch out for the waves. I was there with low tide, but the ocean is still dangerous because of the waves. So, make sure if you are gonna swim in side of the pools, let watch someone else the waves and never swim there alone!
Well it is a walk and a trek down but it is a fantastic tidal pool with lovely warm crystal clear water. Do not come if you are not able to clamber over boulders
It was a real struggle to find these pools because it’s not accurately marked on Google or clearly sign-posted from the road. When you turn off the main road and drive down the dirt road to the Water management plant on the right, here you must leave your car (unless you have a Land Rover that can handle the rocky path!) and walk left on the rocky road along the coast. We followed the road for several KMs, stopping every now and then to look over the cliff to check for pools. After about 30 mins we found some stunning pools but they were almost impossible to reach by climbing down. We finally found one that we could access by climbing down the rocks but it’s not easy and not very safe. The pools themselves are gorgeous and a pleasure to swim in but it takes a whole lot of effort to get there so I wouldn’t recommend going unless you’re up for a real adventure!
Great looking natural pools by the sea. 4x4 recommend if you want to get there by car, otherwise it's better to park further north and walk for 30 minutes.
Beautiful spot but really quite busy when we visited which was a little unexpected. Lots of sea urchins so beware. The abandoned hotel was really cool as well. Great if you're into urbex. Access is fine, the first bit of track is the worst but no need at all for 4WD,. Risk of punctures if anything. We opted to walk in over the desert just for the experience. Full on Canarian sun but very strong breeze so you don't feel yourself burning. Sunscreen recommended.

I went out with my 18 year old, on a Catamaran cruise, on board we had Jack and Angel who were both friendly, professional, helpful and brilliant hosts. We were given drinks to welcome us on board and then taken to an area of beautiful clear waters to do kayaking and paddle boarding. Had a break with a lovely and delicious selection of tapas and more fun in the water. It was a splendid afternoon. Thank you so much Jack and Angel! Greetings from sunny Scotland!
My partner and I had a lovely afternoon cruise on the Popcat Catamaran. The crew were so friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. Swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking was good fun. Thanks for a memorable afternoon.
Highlight of our holiday. Easy to book and communicate with. Boat was spotlessly clean and super comfortable with a choice of shade or sunbathing on the net or front of boat. Food absolutely delicious. Relaxed time to swim and use snorkels, canoes & paddle boards. Used sound sync to play our music. Well looked after by Matthew. Great morning. Highly recommended.
Amazing trip on the PapagayoCat with Luke and Pedro. We had a 4 hour private trip with food and drinks. We were enjoying it so much we were able to add on 2 more hours at the end! We felt well looked after and had some swimming time as well as a long hunt for dolphins. Would definitely recommend and go again
From start to the end the team were amazing massive shout out to Jack from picking us up how many can say the captain picked you up from your hotel he was polite and throughout the experience made sure everyone had a great time. The food was a good choice and even asked before if anyone had any dietary requirements good flow of drinks .I fully recommend this for all ages.well done all .
It was great. They were so helpful helping my 82 year old Mum. Above and beyond. The Tapas were lovely. Much appreciated and much love Robert and Fay.
This was a great trip today. Morning trip from 9-30am until 1-30pm. Really pleasant. Great food and plenty of drink available. Jack and Luke our crew were great hosts. Will definitely be doing it again.
Best day of our holiday. We private chartered the cat and it was amazing. A huge thank you to Jack and Luke, who looked after us from the moment we set off. Glasses were never empty, the food was brilliant. We were lucky enough to come across a massive pod of dolphins which was another highlight. Between us we had 5 children with us and they all said it was their highlight. Cannot recommend highly enough and we will 100% be booking again when we come back.

A good place for shopping and for those looking for various products one of the better places in this part of the island.
A bit run down needs a face-lift but on the whole ok. Bars and eateries very good, sit at the biker bar and watch the world go by on the sea front.
Ok for a visit out of hotel few good shops, supermarket and chemist, right by the harbour with great views and nice places to grab a bite to eat. Also great little pools of fish to watch as you cross over the wooden bridges.

Lots off good food and drinks. Quick and friendly service
There are some lovely bars and cafés here, a hypo Dino supermarket Segway and bike hire and a gift shop It's used by locals. A lot of outlets available for rent or sale.
A few shops, bars & restaurants. If I’m honest looks like it might be a better place for an evening drink then the rubicon marina. Still a few shops unoccupied, but when they are filled will definitely beat the marina. Has a supermarket too for snacks and cheaper booze.
Lovely little shopping centre with some lovely little cofes
Situated in the Coloradas area of Playa Blanca the centre has a nice combination of businesses bars and shops. The centre is not yet fully occupied but still worth a visit. The only downside is that there are not much parking.
There are an assortment of businesses here, ranging from souvenir shops, bike rental, supermarket, ice cream vendors and bars. We explored for an hour or so.
Great small shopping centre with a small supermarket a drug store or parapharmacia , local craft shops and tour guide bookings. Stop for a coffee on the small plaza while the kids go running and playing in the sample sand park. There is even a hair dresser and car rental shop.
Staff are excellent. Got what I needed from there
