Shopping
Midway Mall is the largest and most central shopping complex in Natal, Brazil. Situated at the intersection of two major avenues, it offers easy access for both public transport and private vehicles with free parking available. Boasting over 200 stores including popular brands like Riachuelo, GameStation, Arezzo, and Brooksfield, this enormous mall also features a movie theater and a variety of dining options.
Big shopping mall, spacious, clean with nice shops from Vivara (jewellery) to C&A. Shops are also big with a variety of items, like the bookshop Leitura, that also has a big stationery area. We ate at the pizzeria next to the cinema and it was also nice. Would come back to see more.

Large variety of things to see and purchase. Great food arenas and a relaxed atmosphere. Recently they decided to add payment for parking which is disappointing but rhe mall is still great.

I wish they sold 70 feet models of the USS Midway other than that, its great
Rek S — Google review
This is the biggest and best mall of Natal. It has plenty of stores and you'll find pretty much anything you need in here. The food court is huge and has a big variety of food. The movie theater is also good, just make sure to buy your tickets in advance or you might have to wait in line, especially on the weekends. Oh, best of all, parking is free. Great experience overall.
Ivan M — Google review
The largest Mall in Natal, Midway is certainly the best in the area. It has a huge 6-story parking garage, where you can park FOR FREE. That’s the only mall where you can do that. The others are smaller and with high parking fees. Midway is far from perfect, but it is the place to go if you want to find anything to buy, grab a snack or even watch a movie in movie theater.
Mr. S — Google review
It has very easy access and as the name says, it is in the middle of the way to and from anywhere in the city. It has good shopping, services and dinning options. Parking is free which makes it even more handy.

Bosque dos Namorados do Parque das Dunas is a must-visit ecological park in Natal, offering stunning natural views, dunes, and Atlantic forest. It's a favorite among nature enthusiasts and families for its well-maintained facilities including playgrounds, walking paths, picnic areas, and even guided trails through the Dunas Reserve. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks or engage in activities like picnicking and sports while learning about native wildlife and plants.
excellent park to walk around and enjoy the nature. interesting small stuffed animal museum that displays some (but not all) local flaura and fauna as well as some very interesting live specimens. First attraction in natal that has adequate english signage.

Amazing park with tracking courses, playground, music, pic nic area, nature etc ... really big in the middle of parque das dunas. Need to be done.
Nicolas B — Google review
Great place for family walking, sports and celebrating. Tables for picnic, meetings and an open theater.
Thompson S — Google review
Organized, clean, well equipped: this is a great option for those who wish to spend quality time with family and friends. There are many playgrounds for the kids, different pathways for running/walking. You can invite your friends and have a picnic. There are bathrooms and drinking fountains. If you schedule previously a guide will take you through trails in the Dunas Reserve.
Marília S — Google review
Hiking trails are only open on certain days and you must prebook, which was not clear. We also were told to turn back on another walking trail by a security guard. Overall very disappointing experience (although I'm sure its lovely if you prebook). Finally, after realising that we could not do any of the hikes, we discovered that there is no beer at the cafe - that was the nail in the coffin and this place gets a poor score from me.
Tom C — Google review
Great place to relax and do some exercises.
Evânio G — Google review
It is an amazing park. You can either go for a walk or you could spend time reading a book among the trees. There are trails too, but you need reservations for that.

Churches & Cathedrals
The Metropolitan Cathedral in Natal is a modern, minimalist church that contrasts sharply with its Gothic counterparts in the city. The only visible circular feature is the large altarpiece at the front, while all other elements are straight and plain. The cathedral's interiors are also full of clean lines and there is little ornamentation to be seen. This stark modernity is perhaps most evident in the liturgical ceremonies which take place here every week.
Very beautiful church and a must see while you’re in the area. This church reminds of other great cathedrals in Brazil. It is magnificent inside and has lots of beautiful art inside including at all its chapels. I especially enjoyed the stations of the cross. Walk around the back of the main altar to find a staircase that goes down below the church to find the gift shop and a chapel that was consecrated by Pope John Paul II with beautiful artwork.
Miguel S — Google review
Beautiful new cathedral in modernist style. Free drinking water and bargains. The chapel in the basement was opened by Pope John Paul II. The image of Nossa Senhora da Apresentação found in the 1700, now the patroness of the city, is on display inside.
Josiah W — Google review
Why, I wonder, when they build a new church these days, do they make it so plain and ugly? I realize that labor and materials were less expensive in the old days, but the parishioners were not affluent. They still managed to put up beautiful churches for the glory of God. These new churches, instead of lifting the mind and heart to God, oppress the spirit.

Nice and well-maintained, but sadly very narrow city beach. You can admire the ocean, and if you really want to, you can swim. The area is full of souvenir shops and restaurants.

(Translated by Google) Terrible, I ate it dry because the strawberry Smoot juice was not prepared due to the lack of attention of the employees on 10/02/25 at 3:30 pm, and they even had the audacity to check the receipts at the counter, implying to my face that I was drinking twice. If they talked less and treated customers with due attention, perhaps this incident would not have become a repeat offense. Regrettable!!!!

(Translated by Google) My experience was very negative, I often eat at the Norte Shopping through iFood and Natal Shopping too! The Midway one doesn't follow the standard! I found the filling weak, the dough rubbery and the counter service terrible! It feels like we're bothering them when ordering, they're inattentive and disorganized, my order was ready in the oven for more than 15 minutes and they didn't deliver it to me and I was standing there waiting for them to notice, another thing: they scratched the packaging with my Kalzone inside, I found it unhygienic. I don't recommend the Midway store to anyone! And I'll never go back.

Camarões is a top-notch restaurant in Natal, known for its excellent food and service. The staff is attentive and accommodating, especially when it comes to dietary restrictions like gluten-free options. The restaurant offers a low-carb menu curated by Lillian Lins, making it an ideal choice for those looking for healthier options. With comfortable ambiance, well-trained waitstaff, and delicious food at fair prices, Camarões stands out as the best choice for seafood in the city.
It's always a pleasure to go there. The food is excellent and the service is top-notch. If there was something I wanted to mention it's the air conditioning was a bit too high, so I was cold during the meal. But other than that it's a great place to eat. Casa do Matuto is a fantastic place in Natal that truly celebrates the northeastern culture. The restaurant not only offers delicious food but also provides a great space for families with kids. They have created a special area integrated into the restaurant where children can play on trampolines and other fun activities, giving parents peace of mind while enjoying their meal. Additionally, Casa do Matuto is located right by the beach, offering a wide variety of tasty dishes from starters to meals for two or more people.
Great music, atmosphere and food. The restaurant offers multiple typical food from the northeast and all staff is dressed up and in character. We had a really nice time.

Great Food. Very well prepared and very tasty. The environment is very cool. Very traditional. The bathrooms were very clean, as the restaurant. They have a parking lot right next to the restaurant. Very helpful. Service was great. Servers are friendly. Giving 4 stars due to the price (a bit steep in my opinion) and the time it took to prepare our beverages.
Marcos G — Google review
A great restaurant located right on the beach front, twenty steps from the sand. They have many options to choose from, from starters to meals for two or more people. A meal for two has more than enough food to fill two hungry people. We loved the fried fish, rice, green beans, farofa, and vinigrette. There are also a large selection of desserts to choose from, all of them are delicious. The servers are friendly and happy to chat about the dishes on offer and recommend different types of food if you can't make a decision. They have live music and comedy shows on different nights of the week. All the servers are dressed in cool theme costumes and they really look the part. As for the price, we thought the price was good. We paid R$49 for a meal for two, with drinks extra. All in all, it's a great place to eat while enjoying the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Natal Shopping is a contemporary retail center in Natal, known for its mix of local boutiques and international chains. With about 120 stores, it's one of the most modern shopping centers in the area. Some notable stores include Rio Center, Americanas, and C&A. Located in the Zona Sul, it offers a great shopping experience with various clothing and shoe stores to explore.
We were sent here being told that it was the nicest mall in the area, and it didn't let us down, it has a very good food court with many options of food by weight, and a few stores with sales and low prices, for the rest it's just another mall.

Natal Shopping is a very good Mall. There are very good stores selling clothes and all kind of things you need for kitchen, tv and phone supply. There is a great food "market" for every taste. And much more. A very good shopping mall. The only minus is to stores, Claro and Vivo selling chips and internet for cell phones. I could not get any help from Claro , but I bought a chip at Vivo and asked for help setting up a new iPhone. First the answer was yes, but when I showed up later, no help unless I bought something new. I went to Vivo once more to renew my agreement, but no help. That is not good , but Natal Shopping is still a very nice place to shop and dine.

Seafood restaurant
Restaurant
Camarões Restaurante is a renowned establishment in Natal, known for its top-notch seafood and exceptional customer service. Since its opening in 1989, it has become a staple in the city, offering classic dishes like Camarao Internacional and File a Parmegiana that showcase authentic Potiguar cuisine. The restaurant's menu revolves around shrimp-based delicacies such as camarao no jerimum and grilled shrimp with gratin cheese and cashews.
Food is amazing here. Literally every dish we had was good and we went multiple times. The drinks are also very good including their in-house beer. Service at this particular location was a bit slow, but the servers were always quick to fulfill requested when they found us. Will return next time we are in Natal for sure.
Miguel S — Google review
A Must-Visit in Natal! If you’re in Natal, Camarões is an absolute must. We ordered the Camarão Imperial, and it was incredible — not only was it delicious, but the portion was so generous it could easily serve three people, even though it’s meant for two. The service was truly exceptional — the waitstaff treated us like royalty. Words can’t fully capture how welcoming and attentive they were. The shrimp was massive and perfectly cooked, making it one of the best meals we’ve had. We enjoyed it so much, we came back a second time and tried one of their meat dishes. Just a tip: if you have a big appetite like we do, consider ordering an entrée as well! Outstanding food, incredible service, and an unforgettable experience. Don’t miss it!
Bryan B — Google review
Wonderful dinner is a beautiful location of Ponta Negra. The restaurant offers a great culinary selection mainly based on fish. We had a bottle of sparkling wine with very tasty frutti do mare. The location of the restaurant is great on the main boulevard. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. I would recommend this restaurant anyway despite of the fact that it is a bit noisy and there is no entertainment.
Alex L — Google review
Great place, awesome service! There is a little wait to get your table, but as soon as you order they bring you the food so its good! The food is awesome, delicious in taste and abundant.
Nicolás M — Google review
The quality of the seafood served here is like no other. The standard dish by far is the Camaroe sharing dish at BR $72. The best shrimp dish I have ever eaten. If serving it in a large ceramic dish drowning in butter and parsley wasn't enough, the garlic crostinis take it to another level. The true dining highlight of Natal. What's amazing Is the fact they can create a unique dish, tasting completely different from the next. The size of the sharing dishes are huge and excellent value for money.
Wasim I — Google review
As vegan my verdict is that is possible to eat well in this famous seafood restaurant. Being able to share a meal with friends from Natal in this special place for them was fun. The caju ceviche is amazing! Everything else as good as it should.

Visiting this resto is always a good experience. Do not matter what you will ask on menu be positive that’s no way it goes wrong. I’ve tried basically all the dishes and I’m thrilled how they get it right. One thing o like de most at this resto is if you are celebrated anything that matters to you, go over here, cuz you and your guests won’t be disappointed. To his is 10/10.

Páprika Pizzaria & Restaurante is a bustling venue offering steaks, grilled seafood, and wood-fired pizza with stunning sea views from its terrace. The restaurant was inspired to combine good food and music in a casual setting. Since its opening, it has incorporated Italian tradition through Chef Alessandro Pasotto while integrating Brazilian cuisine. The use of carefully selected ingredients ensures high-quality standards.

The food is awesome, big dishes, super yummy. Drinks are also awesome and, super large. We ordered a pink gin and it came with lots of fruits. To eat I ordered a ponta negra rissotto and it was a super fulfilling dish for 1 person with great flavor. The only downside in my opinion is the live music, its all night, not optional and part of the ambiance so if its not your type its not recommended to dine here.

Good cost benefit ratio, has very good food and the waiters are very polite, if you want to check out a place with nice music and a very cosy atmosphere this is your place. From pasta, to sea food and local cosine you can find it all here. Now I can’t give it a five star because of the reservation system for the transfer: I had to make the reservation for the transfer back to the hotel twice, a pay in a hurry to be able to get back at the time I wanted.

(Translated by Google) Chiquita has always had one of the best açaí bowls in the city, especially the granola there. However, more recently, I have had some negative experiences with the service. The first time I ordered a 1L açaí bowl to go, thinking I would leave it in my freezer and eat it little by little. So, I asked for the granola and fruit (which are included in the purchase) to be separated, since they don't keep well in the freezer. I was promptly informed that they couldn't separate the two sides to go and that I would have to separate one of them manually when I got home. When I asked why, the attendant said that it was the owners' order, due to the cost of the take-out container (a small disposable plastic container). Luckily, the owner was there that day, saw what had happened and let her separate it. The second time I went to do the same thing, taking 1 liter to go with separate fruit and granola, I was once again informed that I couldn't and that I would have to take everything together and separate it manually. Unfortunately, the owner wasn't there this time and I couldn't argue with the attendant who was simply following orders from her superiors. Today, on a third occasion, I went to Chiquita with two nephews and ordered 3 açaí bowls to be consumed ON THE SITE and asked that the fruits and granola included in the product be separated, since my nephews don't eat them and I would eat them for them. Once again, I was informed that they couldn't separate the two items and that I would have to choose one to go with the açaí bowl. Since on one of the occasions they didn't let me take the side dishes separately, the justification was that they couldn't use two disposable containers, I asked that the granola from all the orders be placed in my order, on top of my açaí bowl, that way they wouldn't use their containers. Once again, now easily angered (and even mockingly), the attendant said that it wouldn't be possible to do that either. After that, I realized that there is no point in dealing with people and services that have a closed mindset and that they would rather lose customers than make exceptions (even if they are extremely simple and don’t affect their costs). So, I informed them that I no longer wanted the product, turned my back and left. So, if you go to Chiquita looking for a good açaí and an excellent granola, enjoy it. However, don’t expect much from their service. It’s a shame, because I was a loyal customer for many years…

(Translated by Google) Back when açaí wasn't in fashion, this place was already a reference, which is why its granola is still the best of all the açaí shops in the city. The Chiquita granola, which bears the name of the place, is undoubtedly the best. The atmosphere is open and offers a quick snack. The service is friendly. The price is affordable. Other than that, it's worth checking out and drawing your own conclusions.

(Translated by Google) The açaí is delicious. The price is reasonable. I think the house granola is more interesting than the granola at Tua Sônia (the crunchy ones). The prices for the extra portions are a bit steep and the products are of inferior quality. The hazelnut cream (which immediately makes us think of Nutella) is from the ARO brand, so it should be ordered before the side dishes. Other than that, the place is pleasant. It's well ventilated, open, and accepts credit/debit cards.

People go there mostly because of the movies theater or the food court, which is below average, with some classic fast-food restaurants like McDonald's and Burger King. Located in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Fortaleza dos Reis Magos is a 16th-century military fortification shaped like a star and perched on a cliff overlooking the sea. This historical landmark played a crucial role in defending the city and offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. The fort's limestone embankment, cannons, and chapel add to its historical significance. It has been instrumental in repelling invaders and stands as an important symbol of Natal's history.
Bring water and sunscreen! It is a little walk and no shade at all. Tickets to get in are 5 reais full price or 2.5 reais for half price (students, seniors, etc.). You can buy these at the door with debit or Pix. The fort is beautiful and has a fantastic view of Natal and the bridge. It has a little bit of history inside of it but not much about the fort, so I would recommend reading on your own or maybe come with a tour guide if you’re really interested in history. A note for the foundation/museum of the fort: Please get the historical information rewritten. It is outdated and written very poorly and in a racist way against indigenous peoples and the colonial history of Natal.

There's a small entrance fee and as soon as you get inside, a guide will explain about the specimens and their habits and backstory - some are rescued animals, many are getting prepared to be reintroduced to their natural habitat. There are several species represented, including terrestrial mamals, birds and reptiles. After the initial tour you are free to roam and revisit any animals you wish. There's the "touch tank" and a "mermaid" show every weekend. There's a gift kiosk and a picture booth on the tour path, and outside there's a gift shop and a snack bar. There's also a big parking lot structure.

This is the saddest zoo i’ve been to in my life. I don’t leave reviews often, but i feel like i had to share my experience. So many of the animals showed signs of distress. Little to no effort put in to their cages and some fish and reptiles were to be found dead in their cages or aquarium
Steijn Z — Google review
Kind of a Aquarium/zoo combo The exhibits are decent. Didn't care for all the tourist trapping. Make sure to pay with reis to skip the line.

Was surprised to see land animals too. Overall a great experience for the price. Staff were really friendly and informative too.
Dell H — Google review
The aquarium is very nice. The presence of a tour guide aggregates a lot as he gives interesting information about the animals present in the aquarium (which is not restricted to ocean life, FYI). All money spent buying souvenirs is reverted to the aquarium/animals care. The only negative point is that is very, very hot inside it. There are no air-conditioned or ventilators.

Beach
Outdoor Activities
Genipabu Beach is a must-visit destination in Natal, offering a unique experience with its sandy dunes and freshwater lagoons. Visitors can explore the area by hiring buggies to ride through the picturesque landscape. The beach provides an ideal setting for swimming and indulging in various water sports and games. Additionally, there are plenty of restaurants to enjoy local cuisine.
Amazing beach. Clear waters. Calm water. Hard to park in here. Be prepared to deal with an infinity of street salesman, and people chasing you to find parking and bring you to their beach club. It is difficult to avoid them. Sometimes you will need to be stern for them to leave you alone. The beach clubs are great to relax at the beach. They have a little bit of everything. Drink lots of coconut water. In the sand, there are many people people selling many things and lots of them are great options.

No visit to Natal is complete without a visit to the Dunes of Genipabu. Beach good for swimming with many nice restaurants. Highlight of a visit to Genipabu is driving with a buggy driver through the dunes of Genipabu.& a visit to its lake if not in dry season is to be recommended. Ferry to Jacumá is especially fun as your car or buggy is put onto a boat rowed across the narrow river with the route providing a coastal route to Pitangui and Muriú.

Nice beach to visit and surf. Close to the dunes, it offers a beautiful visual. It can get pretty dirty, though, cause people often drop waste on the sand... There could be more trash bins to try to encourage people to discard their waste properly (although this is no excuse).

Fantastic incredibly beautiful seaside village about half an hour north by road from Natal's bridges across Rio Potengi from Natal, Rn. Beautiful safe to bathe beach lined with lots of beachside restaurants good for fish or meat dishes. Dunes above beach are awesome and maybe climbed by athletic & sure footed or tours led by buggy drivers available from US $60 through dunes from Genipabu village or from around US $ 100 from Natal. Tours may continue on to Pitangui & Cape Riangha eastern most point of Rio Grande do Norte state. In rainy season April to early August ;Genipabu near & after sunset is especially famous for it's mosquitos which seem to be a particular curse for fair skinned visitors. Hotel Genipabu high in hills with its own swimming pool tends to avoid the problems with mosquitos. Visitors should also try by car or buggy try the raft ferry at nearby Gracendu & see the seaside mansions of Natal's political elite. At weekends & in January & February village maybe at times crowded but midweek visits are usually quieter & much more rewarding.

Lots of sand, salt, and sun. If you're looking for beach, this one is very nice.

(Translated by Google) This is an excellent place to have a snack, especially in the early hours of the morning for those who are in the city center. The service is good. They offer a variety of juices and food options. The Jumbo sandwiches are the most appealing here, they easily feed two people and are very tasty. They accept credit cards and are open until late at night. Is there anything better?

(Translated by Google) This nearly "centuries-old" place has recently benefited from a renovation of the square where it's located, meaning there's no cost to the ambiance. Unfortunately, NOTHING compensates for the price of the food. Not even the lack of comfort (the discomfort in a street trailer is acceptable) nor the lack of security. The owner of this place (and not only this one, but also the competitors across the street) has completely lost sight of the value of the product they offer. For these and other reasons, our city (NATAL-RN) is disappearing from the tourist trails. This trailer is thinking it's a McDonald's, a Burger King, or whatever... The prices are absurdly high (at McDonald's, you can eat comfortably, with a certain degree of security—the stores are closed and refrigerated—and the sandwiches are good). It has the right name... You really need a passport to, after seeing the absurd prices, grab your passport and travel far away. To eat there, you'd have to be a fool or live next door to offset the fuel cost of going to a real burger joint. Even so, I'm still looking for another one just because of the absurd prices. The sandwiches taste good, but they're not worth the price. Never. If you want to make a lot of money, become a franchisee or create a gourmet restaurant (at least a physical store). That way, it's easy to make money.

The restaurant is really good, the food is excellent, and for the first time in two months in Natal, I had a good white wine. I can definitely say that I couldn't find better places in Natal. However, on my last visit, they gave me a bill that was twice as expensive, listing many things I didn't order. I think this is unacceptable, and that's why the rating is lower. Just so you understand, they didn't even apologize

(Translated by Google) I went at lunchtime (July 2024) and ordered the daily menu. The food was subpar and quite simple. The service was mediocre. The overall atmosphere was pleasant. There are much better lunch options in the capital of Rio Grande do Norte. For this time of day, I don't recommend Marechal. (Original) Fui no horário do almoço (julho de 2024) e pedi o menu executivo do dia. Comida aquém do esperado e bastante simples. O serviço foi medíocre. O ambiente, no geral, estava agradável.

(Translated by Google) The place is super nice and beautiful. The outside area is lovely. Excellent service from everyone, especially Jefferson. Everything we tried was delicious. We opted for the special menu, with appetizer, main course, and dessert. The atmosphere was very cold, so they offer blankets so that customers can stay comfortable. I found that very interesting. It's an expensive restaurant, but the prices are consistent with the standard. I recommend it. Recomendo.
