Zoo
Zoomarine Algarve in Portugal is a marine park that offers an array of attractions for the whole family. Visitors can enjoy seal and dolphin shows, explore an aquarium, and relax on a sandy beach with slides and a wave pool. The park is renowned for its diverse collection of marine animals, including dolphins, sea lions, and birds of prey. One of the highlights is the opportunity to interact with dolphins through the Dolphin Emotions experience, where guests can swim with these incredible creatures.
You cannot imagine better education, fun or water park than this! I really admire the people that organize it ❤️❤️ We spend 2 full days with our 7 year old daughter and it passed by like a second! We visited all the shows and they are all so funny, educational and nice to watch! Our favorite and most funny one are the Pirates one 💕 There are a lot of options where to eat, we choose “all you can eat one”. There is decent food choice and a lot of fresh salad and fruits. Can really recommend it! We tried also all fun attractions and really liked them all! Bonus are butterfly house and the oceanic house ❣️ Overall experience really 10!
Vanja P — Google review
Zoomarine was absolutely amazing, it is one of the best theme parks i have ever been to. It was so clean and organized. I love the option to bring in our own food, I only wish there were more vegan options in keeping with the educational theme of protecting our oceans, being more mindful of species diversity and being champions for conservation. The shows and exhibits were wonderful and educational. The rides were so much fun and since we went after the summer rush, it was perfect in terms of the weather, ability to get onto rides multiple times with little to no wait times. Our four year old had her first introduction to both roller coasters and water slides and it was perfect for that as well. She will have to be 6 before we can swim with the dolphins and we will definitely go back for that experience. I have worked at Disneyworld, Orlando and I didn't think another park could touch that experience but Zoomarine has in many ways and I am moved by their mission, vision and executing both. It is also just a stunningly landscaped park.
Roshini S — Google review
We had an awesome day here today, great family fun. The day was absolutely packed. We were off season (October), when part of the park is closed; and still didn’t get close to seeing everything. It’s a really good mix of animal shows, animals and rides. If you’re from the UK I really can’t think of anything quite like it. If you’re on a longer holiday, and staying closer than we are I can see the benefit of the two day ticket, that would be great value. I must recommend the animal shows, especially the dolphins they were amazing! I didn’t get to them all but they were my favourite part. Day passed in a flash, I totally recommend.
Chris B — Google review
The most freeing, fun and entertaining theme park I've ever been too. The staff and show hosts make sure you have a smile on your face, the animals are diverse and ADORABLE!! The mix of wet and dry rides is perfect, the mini beach is perfect to relax in between rides as well
Kim E — Google review
Had a fantastic day out at ZooMarine! The staff were extremely helpful, and everyone goes out of their way to make the experience enjoyable. We loved the shows – you could easily spend half a day watching them. Around 20–25% of the time is perfect for exploring the aquariums and rides. There’s also a lovely swimming pool with a wave pool and other water activities, which made for a great balance of fun. Just after finishing at ZooMarine, there are plenty of lovely restaurants nearby where we enjoyed a nice meal. A brilliant day out – highly recommended!
Moaz S — Google review
This has to be handsdown one of the best complexes I have ever been to especially for kids. The stuff and the shows are amazing along with the rides and other bits to do for the kids. I would definitely recommend to anyone on holiday in Portugal and I will definitely be coming back.
DHM L — Google review
Great place for kids and adults alike. The dolphin show was amazing and really good that it was included. Just check that all the attractions are open at the time of year you go. We went end of October and half the water slides were closed. That means the only water slides my 3yr old niece could go on was the splash pad one!
Hannah M — Google review
Highly recommended for family with small children. There are amazing shows, fun rides, and small aquarium - all included in the ticket. Rides are quite basic, so big kids might not be entertained much, but our 8, 5, and 3 years old enjoyed a lot. Our favorite was pirate show - so funny. Too funny to hold crying. Dolphin show was amazing too. We will love to come back next year, especially Halloween time!😊🎃👻

I love this place. Full of beautiful objects for house and garden. It is a treat just to go there and get inspired. The collection is enormous and you can't walk away empty-handed! Mr. Abdul is a nice guy and he keeps his word. I already bought several items and I will come back for more! Recommended.

We had a great experience, Abdul and the other salesman speak English very well. Prices are moderately high, but the quality is most excellent. The mosaic tables and lamps are superb. I highly recommend giving this place a look if you are in the market for anything Moroccan, indoor or outdoor.

well …. first of all beautiful stuff !!! i was stunned!! but …… super overpriced!!!!! the quality is questionable….. we spend there a lot of money… than i checked that curtains firm the set ware just dirty… like used …. pergola is dropping with rust already …. ( as a gift we got a broken ashtray and carpet which was probably few years outside ) after my complaint about the curtains…. just got no answer…… during the installation they broke multiple flowers in the garden …. they left garbage ( can spray ) for me is like a typical you are my friend … im treating you as my family scam …. very annoying during making a deal well i checked different websites and u can organize the same beautiful stuff but without spending fortune!! my advice…. do a research first before going there im personally very disappointed about the whole process….. but to the honest my garden looks beautiful!

Alfredo dos Frangos is a charming restaurant known for its friendly service and delicious food. The owner, Fatima, warmly welcomes guests and engages in friendly conversations. The menu offers a variety of tasty dishes, with the chicken piri piri being a preferred choice among visitors. The Algarvian salad and fresh-cut French fries are also highly recommended. Guests can choose to dine inside or on the spacious terrace while enjoying local wines.
We had a warm welcome, even if we were a little bit late in the evening. Traditionnal cooking in a very typical restaurant. Worth tasting!

Tiny portions. Poor price-performance ratio. The service was ok and the food was good, but not for the price. The bread for our starter was hard.

After 5 minutes of seating insidie the restaurant with a friend of mine , had 3 people that came in with a dog . From the first minute the dog started to bark non stop, and all the restaurant was looking non stop to the situation . Had to rush my food and asked spoke to restaurant owner that was not shoot about the situation . He did not do anything not even apologize and we asked for the bill asap to leave . No discount and even a bottle of water was tried to charge in excess . Definitely no no . Bad attitude and no care for customer .

Very nice restaurant, we tasted several dishes during the course of our stay and they were all good. Nice choice of local wines. The lady of the house is extremely friendly, she chatted with us like a friend would. We were there in June, there was always place for us and time to have a little conversation with her. My preferred dish was the chicken piri piri. You can eat or inside, or on the big terrace.

Restaurant
O Ribeirinho is a family-run Portuguese chicken restaurant known for its delicious Chicken Piri Piri. The restaurant has received rave reviews and is often packed with customers, especially during the summer months. The menu offers a variety of options, including spicy and non-spicy chicken, tomato salad, and an assortment of delectable desserts such as Algarve pastries with fig, carob, and almond.
This is the best per peri chicken on earth. I’ve been coming here for 7 years and it’s amazing. There are only a few dishes on the menu but basically it’s grilled chicken, fries and salad. The incredible. You won’t want to eat this dish again in your own country after tasting this. It gets busy at lunchtime but you can’t book so do consider you may need to queue but they’re fast so you generally won’t wait longer than half an hour for a table depending on your group size. Use your fingers to eat. It’s the best way. Will go back a million %. It’s the best. Possibly one of my favourite ever restaurants due fo the value.
Tom — Google review
Genuin Portugese restaurant serving chicken piri-piri. Im not a big chicken fan but must admit the food was great. We had the chicken and a tomato salad, both tasted great. We also had complimentary fries and rice. Price level is very modest so this is a true "value for money" option. A large beer (caneca) is 3:20 which is in the lower end compared with all the expensive beer you now see in the Algarve. I recommend this place.
J. A — Google review
We visites this place on our first day at Albufeira as it was recomended by our airbnb host. Even tho we had to drive 15minutes by car out of town let me tell you! You have to try it. This is a must. Service was excelent. Staff super feiendly. We walked in, sat down. Didnt event give us menu just told us to get chicken. So we did! And OMG was it good. Services was super quick. Place is super clean. 2 beers, 2 coces, whole chicken, fries, bread on side and huge salad. Fed 4 people. €45! You can't get kebab those days for this price in UK! Highly reccomended. We are here for 3 days and we will go back there tomorrow!
Marcin W — Google review
Food is fresh and delicious. However, chicken has more bones than meat, so if you're really hungry you might have to order two orders of chickens. Also, though the sauce is delicious on the chicken, it is very oily. Their tomatoe salad is delicious and fresh.
Katerina A — Google review
What can I say There is a gentlemen working here for at least 22years since the last time I had the pleasure of the Chicken Piri Piri. Prices are affordable, the atmosphere is quite casual and almost a community table setting. Tables are separated but basically it looks like rows of long tables. Enjoy uncomplicated local food, fresh salad nice drinks. Lots of fun Obrigado
Timothy L — Google review
The food was excellent, but unfortunately the service was very disappointing. We had to ask several times for both food and drinks, and the bread we ordered never arrived. One staff member, who seemed to be related to the owner, had a particularly poor attitude and was in such a bad mood that while clearing a table he even broke three glasses. It’s a real shame because the dishes were delicious and the restaurant has a lovely view by the beach. However, the service spoiled the experience. To give an example: when we asked for desserts and the bill at the same time, the bill arrived almost immediately, but the desserts took more than five minutes to come. Great food and setting, but the service needs serious improvement.
Flávio A — Google review
We ordered and paid 3 halves of chicken and got one plate with bits of great tasting chicken. It was supposed to be 900g but was. Clearly less. Either they forgot to bring the other plate, scammed us or I don't know what 900g of chicken looks like. We had also large tomato salad and fries which were soggy. The desserts are very good especially the banana cheese cake. The waiter did not speak a word of English or pretented not sure. We did not get anywhere and gave up. Given the quantities we got it was way overpriced!
Guillaume A — Google review
"whole chicken" is 1/2 the size of a regular chicken. And it's ultra salty almost can't eat it. The service is so so. The chairs are very hard to sit on and too many people sitting right next to you. The parking lot is extremely tight and with a bad slope, so be careful.

unfortunately, an experience like I've never seen before. since we arrived, there were 10 of us, we were greeted with faces full of customers, after 10 minutes after we sat down, someone brought the menus at our insistence, because we were hungry. after another 30-40 minutes the food came and from here the real surprises began. my wife and I took the baby squid which was unclean and was biting the sand in it, other people chose the pork cutlet which was raw, the famous codfish looks like a pot of vegetables placed with a circle on the plate. all the food was extremely salty to cover the old taste. we tried to explain the various problems to them, but they pretended not to understand and that this is how they are served. on the bill another big surprise, in addition to what we ordered, they put 3 mixed salads at €8.5/piece, salads that they told us at the beginning were included in the price of the food, salt and pepper 2,4€, bread €3.5 per person and many other inflated bills. when we brought these issues to his attention, he explained that he spends money on them and they are on the table. unfortunately an unpleasant experience at a restaurant with many good opinions. avoid this restaurant believe me.

Quite a nice shopping centre, typical popular shopping chains though, not much you wouldn't see in every other mainstream shipping centre across the world. The layout can be a bit confusing, however there is a good number of stores, and the centre is kept in good condition and is clean/without litter. Nice for shopping trips, and there is an excellent cafeteria. - not to mention there is a nice park outside for those with children.

Brilliant shopping centre so many great shops, food court is massive and tried a few places that were all lovely. A lot of the shops have plenty of sales and good prices. Spent a good few hours there and there’s plenty of places for coffee and refreshments. Small arcade on site as well which was fun something for everyone.

Huge shopping centre ( in Guia,) we walked here from the Cliff Richard vineyard wine tour next door ( Adega Do Cantor) . downstairs a massive Continente ( like Tesco) shop with vegan food, options, Heura, hummus, vegan burger , fridge and frozen sections, bread, veg, wine , beer, and even clothes too. Then, upstairs in the huge Food court delicious vegan soup( spinach soup ) and beer and wine. Only ten euro for two lunch for two people . Delicious and cheap thank you. Nice perfume shops and I got vegan gummies ( jellies) and vegan salted caramel chocolate in Hussel. Staff so nice . I noticed shopping centres in Portugal are extremely clean and tidy which is very different to back home, thanks, Love from Ireland.

Tucked away in a quiet alley near the main square of Albufeira's old town, this high-end eatery boasts modern and classy decor with an array of art features. A fabulous meal, very reasonably priced for what we had. €108.30 for two starters (scallops and spring rolls), rib-eye steak, sea bass, one dessert, one specialty coffee, some water, and a bottle of blush wine. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. A really nice meal!
Jane — Google review
In general food here was delicious. Creamy garlic prawns with monkfish was very delicate, full of taste and perfectly made. Duck was soft and medium rare. Only garlic cream soup was little bit too ‘fishy’ for me. It’s hidden in a small cosy street away for the party, but still in centre :)
Aleksandra M — Google review
The Staar is a hidden gem. The food is out of this world. I had the tomahawk and it was by far the best I’ve ever had. We ate here twice during our 10 night stay and I honestly wanted to visit more to try the rest of the menu. We were a party of six and everyone felt the same as me. This was the best restaurant we visited. Thank you to all your staff who made our visit’s so special.
John S — Google review
Expensive, but worth every penny. Upscale gastronomy and you still get your fill. No frills. Probably the best tuna tartare of my life and great local cuisine with bacalhau à bras and tender steak. An insider tip in a small alleyway without the tourist crowds one street over.
Claudia F — Google review
A hidden gem! We had a fantastic meal here, nicely tucked away, great atmosphere, the staff were brilliant. We didn’t book but were lucky to get the last table so would recommend booking in advance as it was very popular
Oliver C — Google review
This was my favorite restaurant in all Albufeira. The food was amazing, all my friends enjoyed their main dish very much and we all agreed that the Chocolate Martini desert is a must-try. We made a reservation online and didn’t have to wait.
Mihaela M — Google review
This is the Staar of albufeira restaurants. Tasty modern interpretations of local food, perfect prepared and arranged. Service is nice and personal. Good value for money judging on quality and price. Perfect for me

Restaurant
Ramires is a renowned Portuguese chicken restaurant located in Guia, near Albufeira, known for its deliciously seasoned and charcoal-grilled chicken with hot pepper sauce. Established by Jose Carlos Ramires in 1964 as a small cafe, the restaurant has expanded over the years to occupy three floors due to its popularity.
Probably the best chicken we had during our visit to the Algarve. We were lucky to get served as we arrived after 2:30 and they close at 3:00. Food came out quickly and was hot. Huge portions. Service was so so…. Which is on par for Portugal.
Christine P — Google review
Best chicken in the Algarve. Been twice in three days. Arrived both times around 8 and provided with a lovely table. It may be out of town but well worth the drive out. Had a mix of the normal and spicy chicken accompanied by a mixed salad and fries. The house red was smooth and dry. The waiters are pleasant and pragmatic; the focus is the fabulous chicken.
Ian T — Google review
We were in the neighborhood, so of course we had to try Ramires, the restaurant known as the founder of the Piri Piri chicken tradition. The chicken was well prepared and full of flavor. While it’s not exactly the style of Piri Piri chicken I usually prefer, I’m glad we got to try this iconic spot!
Jurian R — Google review
Came here for the food, and it was worth it! Ramirez specialises in chicken Piri piri and maybe the reason they have a small menu. Everything we ordered was very tasty. Chicken piri Piri was amazing and we reordered it. Highly recommended
Amish R — Google review
I went there with the anticipation of eating some really great chicken. It was a bit of disappointment. The chicken was juicy and nice, but the flavors were a bit lacking. There was enough oil/grease remaining on the place. The atmosphere of the place was very touristy. I would not go there again.
Sri S — Google review
The chicken is quite small, expected a bigger one. To my taste it is clearly over grilled, not to mention it’s too salty. Because it’s overgrilled and the chicken is small, there’s almost no meat to enjoy. I’ve had so much nicer piri piri chicken in Lisbon so it can’t be even compared to this one. The service and atmosphere are great.
AK A — Google review
A beautiful and traditional Portuguese Peri-Peri chicken restaurant. The food was incredibly delicious and full of flavor. The staff were amazing friendly, welcoming, and made the experience even better. Highly recommended!
Abdulmohsen B — Google review
We had dinner here tonight (family of 4 with a 4 & 8 year old). It was our tastiest meal all holiday! The chicken was super tasty (we went for spicy Ofcourse). The tomato and onion salad went perfectly with the chicken and the fries / chips so tasty. Our son had an omelette which was really tasty too! We got some rice which accompanied the meal perfectly. The glass of Porto and some home made cookies at end of meal free was a lovely surprise - thank you! And their coffee was the best we’ve had too! The restaurant is traditional and the staff very polite. We are going back for sure. All in all top place for Piri Piri and super value for money!

Day 3

Northwest side of town
For day 3, we recommend exploring the northwest side side of town. Start the day off with Krazy World, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Aqualand Algarve. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

Krazy World is a must-visit destination in the Algarve, offering an interactive zoo experience with a petting farm and animal presentations featuring 62 different species. Visitors can enjoy activities like crazy golf, swimming pools with slides, fun fair rides, and live animal shows. Children have the opportunity to feed animals, interact with lemurs, and even go on pony rides.
Amazing place to visit and get up close and personal with wildlife from animal presentations to feeding the birds and more. It is not the biggest of zoos however there mission and what they do is amazing here. They have plenty of things to do for children and on hot days there is always the pool area to cool down and go for a swim or water slide. Food prices are reasonable but expect a few add on charges if you want to hire a sun lounger next to the pool area. There is plenty of parking on site if you are arriving in car. The staff is very knowledgeable about the animals they are caring for and the park is very clean and tidy. Arrive on time according to their schedule to get involved with one to one feeding and viewing of the animals, they are on time and prompt. I did have doubts after reading some recent bad reviews but I really Believe some people feel entitled and have a sour attitude and you have to see and experience this place for yourself and disregard any bad reviews. If you look at any of my previous reviews of places you will see I have been to many places all over the world and I highly recommend Krazy world. They are doing a great job for the animals and there should be more places in the world doing what they do on a day to day basis. I had a fantastic time here and from what I could see all family’s and children did also. Thank you Krazy world 🌍 Until next time
Jay — Google review
Amazing place. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. The animals all looked very well cared for and decent sized enclosures. We toom part in the lemur feeding which was a great experience and something we will all remember for a long time. All the staff and keepers we interacted with were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The pools felt cold, but this was great on a hot day. The free mini golf was a great bonus that we weren't expecting. Also the regular talks and presentations throughout the day were superb. Great value for money. Even the food and drink was fairly priced. I really can't recommend Krazy World enough.
Gareth J — Google review
A really lovely place, our children loved their time here. There is quite a bit to do e.g. 3 pools including one perfect to toddlers, mini golf, riding ponies & donkeys. We really enjoyed our time here and can highly recommend.
Ashleigh O — Google review
It was a good day out. Wasn't as big as I thought it would be but was still a good day. Wasn't expensive. Think the boys could have spent all day feeding the goats. The mini golf was free. Food/drinks/ice lollies weren't badly price.
Steph G — Google review
This is a great little experience for the family, lots of encounters and talks to attend and a variety of animals to see and learn about. The pools and splash zone are great for having a swim and taking children, although the fun colourful flooring has been taken up which is a shame as it makes the area a little bland now. Food and drinks are good and staff are helpful. The lockers provided are not ideal and look like they can be broken into easily so should really be replaced.
Jim — Google review
⚠️ A warning for parents who, like us, were excited to spend a day with animals. There’s practically no real interaction with the animals, and the entrance fee barely includes anything. 😩 Our visit to this so-called zoo was a huge disappointment. The whole place seems designed to make you spend as much money as possible on “extra” paid activities, rather than offering a genuine experience. What upset us most was the so-called “petting zoo”, which is supposedly included in the ticket price. The photos online and even on-site are misleading – they make it look like you can actually go inside and pet the goats. In reality, you can only feed them through tiny holes in the fence. That’s not a petting zoo. Because my daughter was sad that she couldn’t pet the animals like she usually can in other zoos around the world, I paid for a short pony ride – €3 for literally 2 minutes. Honestly, an outrageous price. We visited in October, so we didn’t try the swimming area, but when it comes to animal interaction, there’s absolutely none included in the ticket. I’d really recommend spending your money somewhere else – this place feels like a tourist trap with misleading advertising.
Aki V — Google review
All rescued animals, which is nice.... Weather ruined allot of the visit, but that's not the Krazy worlds fault. Performance was nice and seeing some random animals was good (the racoon)
Robert S — Google review
Exceptional value for money, family of four cost us 33 euro. Not the biggest zoo but the zoo combined with the 18 hole mini golf and pool facilities enough to keep the family entertained for the day. People moaning about the zoos size and lack of animals, upkeep etc need to take in to consideration the cost. If we would of paid 100 euros then fair enough you could have a whinge about this and that, but for the price at krazy world its great value. Anyone complaining expects so much for so little 💰

Aqualand Algarve is a large outdoor waterpark located in the parish of Alcantarilha, offering a variety of pools, slides, and a wave pool for surfing. It features thrilling attractions such as the Kamikaze, Portugal's highest water slide at 36 meters, and the Banzai Boggan where visitors can slide down on bodyboards from a height of 23 meters. The park is recommended for families with children and offers fast entry even during peak times.
Amazing watermark! Spent the day here and had so much fun! Plenty for kids to do and we had a 4 and 11 year old, though would be handy if parents could do some of the kids slides with them. The park is super clean and looked after, we went during the week and didn't have to wait for any slides. I would recommend taking food as their prices are crazy expensive, that was our only issue. Would definitely visit again though!
Kirsten B — Google review
We visited Aqualand Algarve on a weekday and it turned out to be a great choice — the park was not crowded at all, with almost no queues for the slides. The territory is spacious, and for those who want to skip the lines, there’s an option to buy a fast track pass (€10). Sunbeds are paid, while umbrellas for shade are free. Food on site is a little expensive, but surprisingly good in quality. I especially enjoyed the tuna salad — the vegetables were fresh, crisp, and exceeded expectations, which was a nice surprise for a water park café. On the downside, the sunbeds are quite old and uncomfortable, and what really spoiled the impression was that people are allowed to spread their blankets anywhere on the grass, even right next to the rented sunbeds. This completely takes away personal space and the possibility to adjust or move your chair, which feels unfair when you’ve paid for extra comfort. Another big inconvenience is the lack of proper changing rooms with showers — before leaving, we had to change in the restroom, which was far from ideal. Overall, Aqualand Algarve is fun and worth visiting, especially on weekdays when it’s less busy, but the comfort facilities could use serious improvement.
Snejana F — Google review
It's a nice waterpark to spend the day. Not very crowded, a few great rides and not much lines. The prices inside are a bit too much (food and drinks) and the pictures they take are a waste of resources, since they print them all and most people won't buy it. The fast track is not needed and the water in the pools is a bit too cold.
Leonardo T — Google review
Good day out some really good slides queues not too bad on a Monday, food is a bit expensive and you have to pay for a bed and a locker as well, my advice wear surf shoes the ground gets very warm and when you go down that Banzai slide hold on for your life.
Baz — Google review
Bring your own food to save time and money (the food isn't anything special). Great variety of slides for all ages and interests and lots of seating (for a small fee). I was able to set up with the smaller kids section in view and felt safe letting the bigger kids explore on their own. A great day!
Katie C — Google review
Very nice and perfect place for family. Safe and prices are alright. Many toilets and changing rooms.
Ewelina M — Google review
Had a great day here. Don't know if we dropped lucky but didn't have to queue for more than about 5 minutes for any ride (15/7). Staff were friendly and helpful. Slides are great fun - not as many as other parks but that wasn't an issue for us. Will definitely be going back as could buy another ticket for 9 euros before we left the park 👍.
Dave R — Google review
We had a fabulous day at Aqualand. We debated whether to book here or Slide n Splash but after reading reviews about the queues at the other park we opted for Aqualand and were so pleased that we did. The park was clean and well kept. Our teens had lots of fun, as did our young daughter who loved the young kids zone. There was hardly any waits for the slides. Highly recommend.

Restaurante Ti Teresa is a charming restaurant located in the heart of Porches, Algarve. With a history dating back to the 1960s, it is now under the ownership of Bianca Salden from Belgium. The restaurant offers a delightful blend of Belgian and Mediterranean cuisine and boasts an extensive list of over 80 Portuguese wines. Its rustic and cozy ambiance, featuring exposed brick and wooden accents, adds to its appeal. One of its popular dishes is the black pork meat.
Probably one of the best chicken curry I've ever had in my life. Very delicious and affordable. Definitely will return.

food is very good. price, quality and quantity are really good. we come back on same day for lunch and dinner, all dishes we ordered are delicious. The service could improve, but hey it is summer time, waiting time is also long.

Our family discovery Ti Teresa by accident. But it were nice, tastefull suprice. If you come around lunch time, be ready to wait. Place pretty crowded. 80 % locals. Prawns and lamb chops very delisious. Also try home made veg. soup

Great place, with lovely food. Loved the steak. On the second visit we were 5 minutes late and they refused to serve and told us that they were closed, but the cook was still in the kitchen and they were serving food to others. It was a bit sad for us that they not made an effort to accommodate us. If you are coming for decent and tasty meal you won't be disappointed, just don't be late.

Unexpected surprise. Grilled whole sole was delicious. Cozy, comfortable and friendly service. Would rather eat here than at our 5 star hotel. Large portions, unpretentious, quality food. Our daughters also loved the food. We are from the new york/ new jersey area but we know how to wait for good food. We are used to paying three times this bill for the same amount and quality.

Restaurante Nunes is a family-owned gem located outside Guia, offering authentic Portuguese peri-peri chicken and delightful Vinho Verde. The place can get crowded during lunchtime on weekdays, but the friendly staff and fantastic service make up for it. While some may find the pricing fluctuation a bit off-putting, the delicious food and warm hospitality more than compensate for any minor inconveniences.
Delightful staff. The Frango a Guia (piri-piri) was perfectly spiced and wonderful. Service was friendly, quick, and accurate. I don’t recall the name of the desert we had but it was incredible- a meringue with almond!

A lunch that was supposed to be cozy and simple, turned into a disapontment. After looking at the 5 items menu, we chose.chicken and pork. Without even having the drinks yet, we were informed that there was no other meat them chiclen in the restaurant. It was a sunday as 12h30! We informed that i dont eat chicken and there was not another option then leave. In ANY circunstances as an appologie (as they are at 1km of Makro) the bread and the butter would not be charged. But they did! 5 euros for 3 slices of bread and butter. The waitress was nice and apologetic, but the owners,.arrogant and clearlly not worried with the return of an unsatidfilyed guest. 1st and last!....

Frango ao estilo da Guia, very tasty. Although service was not good. They messed up the order, and have apologysed, but that was all. We order some extra dose and it come without French fries which was included in the price. Once we ask for it they made us wait, but never deliver it. At end they apologize for it again but we had to pay the non received Fries... 🤔 we even had to pay some 50 cents extra for some slices of salad in the Tomatoes salads... It is a bit strange the service... There are better choices on the sorroundings... I Will not come back to this restaurant

The chicken is spectacular as is the service, the waiters/waitresses are fantastic, our only complaint is: We are normally approx 15/16euro for our meal but on a Sunday, the same meal is 12euros more. Not impressed.
Claire G — Google review
Good place for chicken piri-piri. The chicken is very good and very cheap. The service is simple and at times disorganized as the place gets crowded but the staff is friendly. If you like a quiet meal its best to avoid lunch time during week days as a lot of workers stop here. It's a good alternative to the overly priced chicken piri-piri restaurants locatedx in Guia.
