Dunks Bay is a stunning sand beach with a picturesque rocky shoreline on either side, making it one of the most scenic beaches in Canada. Accessible from Dunks Bay Road off Highway 6, this beautiful bay offers clear waters and a great atmosphere for visitors. While the tourist-designated area is relatively small compared to the private beach, the entire stretch remains largely empty.

Found this by doing a wrong turn and it was actually a gem. Water is so clear and the area is very clean. Portable washrooms are available but the area is private so there's only a small portion where you can swim
Amazing view, crystal clear water great for kids with shallow sandy gradual entry. Very clean. Downsides are very small beach and limited parking. Parking is $5/hr
A trip to Tobermory for family vacation - hidden treasures. While I am reluctant to share this hidden gem, it is a great place to go swimming and build a sandcastle. It is sheltered from much of the wind, so it is paddle board and kayak friendly. Paid parking - limited - strictly enforced in Tobermory. It can get busy quickly as more people become familiar with it. Come early and get your spot. Enjoy!

Reviews
Dunks Bay is a hidden gem with crystal clear water and a clean, sandy beach. Reviewers mention the area's beauty, great for kids with its shallow entry, but note limited parking and a small public beach area. Despite some drawbacks like cold water temperatures in July and small accessible space, visitors appreciate the stunning views and serene atmosphere of this private bay.

Wonderful bay, clear water and great scenario. Too bad the beach reserved to tourists is 1/10th or less of the available beach. And guess what? The rest of the “private beach” is totally empty. But still worth a visit and a swim.
Pros:
-the sand is nice, white, and soft
-clear beautiful water
Cons:
-The public part of the beach is so small, can only fit a few groups of people
-At the time of writing this (July 5th) the water is extremely cold compared to Sauble beach an hour away
-parking is 5$/hr, 30$ for the day
