Loved it currently covered in snow and path to icy to walk but being in the woods was amazing
Very poor signage made finding the bike trailhead difficult, so I got lost several times and missed all the fun blue tracks. Logging down at the bottom made for a pretty rough track at the start - I wouldn't recommend novice riders try that part of the Perimeter Loop unless they are confident on rough/unstable ground.
We are parked up at this NZMCA park was just going to be 1 night but the veiw of the lake the cycle track is fantastic . A clean toilet with a flush system in place. Dog friendly must be on a leash, got a area to let the dog off the leash but must be under control at all times and pick up after him.

A perfect spot for a wee little proposal by the lake. Such a lovely area and worth visiting. We stayed two nights. Sunset was beautiful.

This is a beautiful lovely n quite place. Everytime i visited, i felt the sense of calmness while sitting at river shore. Views are hypnotic 😍
