On arrival, we were very pleased with the hotel’s location and the check-in experience. Special thanks to the porters and reception staff, who were extremely helpful and made the process smooth—especially as we were travelling with a young infant.
Unfortunately, the rest of our stay was quite disappointing.
At breakfast, we discovered that there were no safe highchairs available for our toddler. The staff reassured us that the existing ones—despite lacking straps or buckles—were safe to use. Trusting their word, we tried one and quickly found that this was not the case. I raised the issue with the manager, who assured me that a proper highchair would be available the next day. Sadly, this promise was not fulfilled, and we later learned that the hotel did not have a single functioning highchair.
There were also several issues with basic amenities and service. On the second day, I requested an iron in the morning, which never arrived. After asking again in the evening, it finally reached our room around 11 p.m. We also tried to use the QR code for room service, but it directed us to a non-existent webpage. When I called reception to order food, my call was repeatedly transferred between departments until I eventually gave up and ordered food from outside the hotel.
Housekeeping was another major concern. During our three-day stay, our room was never cleaned. On the second day, I requested fresh towels, which we received, but the cups were not replaced or washed. I found it surprising that such basic standards were not met in a four-star hotel.
Additionally, our bins were not emptied for two days. Despite calling reception to request collection, no one came, so we ended up leaving the bins outside the room. Travelling with an infant meant dealing with used nappies, which made the situation particularly unpleasant.
On a slightly positive note, as mentioned earlier, the welcome and initial support from the staff were excellent, and the breakfast selection was very good. However, it was disappointing that despite raising our concerns with the management throughout our stay, none of the issues were properly addressed.
