Badajoz

Badajoz is a city in southwest Spain. It’s known for its Moorish historic quarter with the fortresslike Cathedral of San Juan Bautista. Overlooking the city, the Alcazaba of Badajoz is a Moorish citadel with fortified walls and verdant gardens. It also encompasses the Provincial Archaeological Museum and the 12th-century Espantaperros Tower. Castelar Park features palm trees and statues of local cultural figures.

It’s an Arabic style tea house with beautiful decoration and all variety of teas. It has milkshakes and cocktails too. Very pleasant place to sit and spend the afternoon with friends. The patio is quite beautiful too.
Lovely decorated and interesting place. Waiters were very inattentive though. Shame as cocktails were great. Location is lovely.
A very lovely and nicely decorated place in a quiet corner of Badajoz. The service is good and there's a wide selection of spirits and teas. The price is certainly on the higher side, considering that we paid € 6 for a regular glass of Martini Vermouth.
It's a very nice place and friendly staff. My pictures don't make justice of the bar.
I really liked the decor and setup of the place. The cocktails were great....tasty and big glasses. One draw back is that they don't offer any wine.
Fabulous place. Well worth a visit, and not especially expensive.
Vau what a place! You have to visit there!!!
I went this place. It is a great restaurant.Out of the place, you can encounter some Arabic figures. And there is a lovely fountain. Its decoration is indeed well-prepared You must go and live it!

Symbol of the city, this gate from 1551 is a main entrance to the old city after crossing from new city via old stone bridge and was a part of the walls surrounded old Badajoz. Must visit indeed.
Nice place to go for a walk. I totally recommend it
You cannot miss it if you walk the famous bridge.
Students and potential tenants STAY AWAY FROM.THIS PLACE. They don't allow you to use the club room. They don't allow pool guests. They don't allow use of the sitting area near the pergola. It's all for show only. They don't even allow one to sit in the lobby!!! Adriana the manager is rude and condescending. The unit owners would be appalled at how tenants are treated so unkind. Avoid this place. Not a good living experience.
Magnificient city gate.
Super friendly security asked us where we came from and welcomed us in a rainy day
beautiful, could be a bit more preserved

Small but interesting museum, entrance is free. The section on the Visigoth period was especially good, with good artefacts and explanation of symbols.
Very interesting museum. Well worth a visit. Free entry was an added bonus. A café inside would have been ideal.
Spain quite possibly has the best Roman Archaeological remains in Europe. The Roman Theatre and others in Merida are spectacular and the Archaeological Museum of Badajoz is superb , give yourself lots of time. The Alcazaba of Badajoz is an ancient Moorish citadel in Badajoz, Extremadura, western Spain. The alcazaba as it now appears was built by the Almohads in the 12th century, although it probably existed from the 9th century, when Badajoz was founded. In the 11th and 12th centuries it was the residence of the rulers of the taifa of Badajoz. It was declared a national monument of Spain in 1931. The Archaeological Museum of Badajoz The museum is located in the city's Moorish Alcazaba (fortress). Inside there are more than 15,000 items on display from archaeological sites around the province. You can see a range of exhibits, from Visigoth architectural items to Moorish ceramics and tombstones, and Roman mosaics. The collection of Bronze Age steles is especially relevant. It is one of the most complete in the Iberian Peninsula. Both the Alcazaba and Archaeological Museum are great places to visit but give yourself a lot of time.
Lovely building and good exhibits esp. pre history. Can leave luggage in free lockers and walk around outside too.
Museum of Badajoz Type: Archaeological Museum Time spent: 20 min Entrance: free Parking: available WC: available
A well managed museum and archeological site. Staff are welcoming. Thank to people of Badajoz who offer free entrance to these treasures.
Museum is quite small, but what surprised me is a good pre-Roman collection.
Don't miss this!

Water park

Fun for kids and grown ups.
This is a perfectly adequate water park. About 8 water slides. 2 take dingies. Big swimming pool. Wave pool. Sun loungers can be hired.
Never go to this water park. The life guards blow there whistle at EVERYTHING!!! The park is a mess with limited slides and hidden fees ( i.e. if you want to use the slides that require a rubber ring you need to rent the rubber ring ((about 10 euros for one)) and leave a 20 Euro deposit)!! To sit in the shade theres also a fee!!
It is not one of the most extraordinary water park, but is good enough to spend a good afternoon. Have a list price for all day and another from 4pm. Have a family price to.
Run Down / Dirty / Limited Slides / Life guards whistle at everything.... AVOID
The pools where closed. No water at all. No attractions. Just a terrace for drinks
Not best maintained park, but very cheap.
Good for the discount price! Should open more slides or other atractions for the normal price.
