I stayed there with my brothers. We had the loft to ourselves. The oner is very nice, the place is set in a beautiful location and the zipline starts from this place, we had a discount as we stayed here. It is only 5 minutes ride to the restaurants in Tara bridge.
Rooms are not so good, but for 1 maybe 2 nights it’s just fine. Amazing view from balcony! Open kitchen.
Amazing place just up the Tara bridge. Very kind hosts, great hospitality. They also have a zip line 1km long above the Tara Kanyon. I highly recommend the place!
Great Place, but the walls are too thin, the water pressure is not good and you are not able to look the doors, even the fridge is a bit open. Great for everyone who loves open houses.
Great hospitality, excellent breakfast, good location. Very thin walls between rooms so can be a little noise.
Paper thin walls. You can not take a rest if you not alone in the house. No key for the door lock.
Great location close to the Saint Michael Archangel Orthodox Monastry near Tara. Close to ziplining and the Tara river.
beautiful natural ambient, lovely traditional type of accommodation and more then friendly staff

Beautiful place in the Montenegro mountains. Not much water compared to 2 years ago. Still look gorgeous. Take an easy hike around the lake or you can go to the peak Bobotov kuk 👍
The lake is 10min on foot from the parking and entrance. Paved path, playground on the way. On the lake there are bars and food but we didn’t try any. You can walk around the lake and swim, it is beautiful.
The lake is beautiful, we were there after snow - it looks stunning! The lake is surrounded by a forest and you can walk around. 5 minutes walking from parking (1.5 e/h), very recommended.
Great experience, awesome view and a must visit attraction of Durmitor park. There are two parking spaces when you enter the lake area, I parked in the second one in the left road which is narrower and parking was free as of 26th of October 2025. During autumn and winter the lake is separated in two because of a shallow narrow pass between them and the locals recommend to visit the lake in late spring when the weather is more stable and the the lake is at its max level due to snow melt.
Black Lake in Montenegro is one of the most breathtaking natural wonders I’ve ever visited. Nestled in the heart of Durmitor National Park, the lake feels like a scene from a fairytale – surrounded by dense pine forests and framed by majestic mountain peaks. The water is crystal clear, with a magical shift in colors depending on the light and time of day, ranging from deep emerald to shimmering turquoise. The walking trail around the lake is well-maintained and offers plenty of peaceful spots to sit and take in the view. It’s an easy hike that lets you appreciate the changing perspectives of the lake and the surrounding mountains. In the summer, the air is fresh and cool, making it a perfect escape from the heat, while in the winter, the snowy landscape makes the area look absolutely enchanting.
Very beautiful! Water with unique color (in pictures) Parking is 9 euro for 3 hours. Enterance is another 5 euro.
The lake views are breathtaking. Notice that the direction signs are in local language and not in English. From the parking on the street there is about a 3 min walk or take the little train. When you see the lake turn left ( otherwise you’ll walk in opposite direction and you won’t be able to see the signs that warn from the dangerous routes). I the route to your left is the shortest way to the path between the big and the small lake in which you can decide if you want the short route or the longer one. Around the lake there are three kinds of routes- the easiest one is to the benches of the lake. If you further 30-40 minutes there is the mid difficulty route that goes slightly into the forest ( has short parts which are challenging) and fit deeper in the forest there is the most challenging route. For some reason they don’t provide maps. Also start dogs alone, so if you are a dog lover bring in advance food for them. Montenegrians are lovely but their attitude towards dogs is incomparable: stray neglected dogs all over the Zabeljk village.
Beautiful place, few tourists in September, so it's worth it! Nice place to relax, I recommend.

Very nice and helpful owner, feeling friendly and cozy, would recommend and go there again!
The location is lovely, but unfortunately the restaurant was disappointing. The food quality was poor, our fries and sausage were cold, and the cappuccino was both overpriced and tasted like intranet coffee. It felt like a typical tourist trap with inflated prices
The zipline photographer was not polite at all But the rest where supper kind specially the driver who drived us back to the starting point I think if they put price list for the activities it’s better for people to choose whatever activity they want to do
We just had the most amazing lunch, LAMB and it was delicious. We went to see the bridge.
Amazing location near the bridge and amazing breakfast. 10 from 10 👍 Rooms clean, owners very friendly. I like it.
It’s a lovely small canyon with lots of zip lines and tourist traps. The river is beautiful.
Great situated view point on mountains and Canyon. Looks like in horror movies
The house wife is friendly and nice. The rooms arre very small and simple. It is good for youngs with flexibility.

Absolutely worth a visit. Stunning scenery! Entry costs €5 per person and parking is €15 for 5 hours or €24 for the whole day. There were boats available to rent for €10 per hour to row around the Black Lake.
Lovely park. Serene walk along the lake banks. Take into account that the trails are not always clearly marked, and a full walk around the lake could include some challenging terrain (eg climbing with a rope rail) and may take up to 3 hour. Get some water and ensure you have sufficient daylight.
** An Absolute Gem of a National Park ** Breathtaking scenery everywhere you look. Well marked trails suiting different fitness levels. Parking can be bit tricky and €3 per hour. There are 2 entrances to the park one with a shorter hike than the main entrance. Can have a dip in the Crno Jezero ( Black lake ) after a hike to cool off. 100% recommended.
An incredible natural park where every corner surprise you more and more. I high recommend doing the entire rout by car so you can stop at all the viewpoints. We had a lot of fog, but it was still spectacular. We can’t wait to come back with better weather!
I have just spent some time in Durmitor National Park in Montenegro. Based on what I can tell, it is a breathtaking park with lots to see and do. I do not recommend coming in October. Stay at Hotel Pavlović for a “ski lodge” atmosphere, hot water, delicious breakfast and restaurant offerings, domestic wine and great and knowledgeable staff.
It's hard to describe in words all the beauty of Durmitor National Park, which has so much to offer every nature lover. Each visit here brings a new round of enjoyment and rest for the soul and body. I would recommend to everyone to come and stay at this beautiful mountain and in this wonderful national park.
The Durnitor National Park is so much more than words can describe. We looked at the reviews before going and we have to admit - we weren't expecting that much. As the time was flying we even considered not going due to timeframe. Fortunately we still went. All we did was drive through the mountains on the narrow road with lot's of opportunities to stop. It was rainy, windy and cold and still it was the best choice! We happend to get there just near the sunset time and the clouds, mountains and sun altogether - it was breathtaking. We just stopped the car, stood there and watched in silence. Majestetic! Amazing! The road is not bad at all. It is narrow, but you have plenty of broader places to reverse to if need be. We did not meet any buses. We went in the end of september. There was no fee - at least we did not see anywhere where to pay 🤷‍♀️ Defenetly a must-visit place!
An amazing national park and a must visit for any trip to the mountains of Montenegro. We started our time at Zbaljak, with the black lake, then drove the durmitor ring road in a clock wise direction. There are stunning views and nice short and ling trails in Sedlo, bobotov kuk and other places. We spent one night in Nedajno village at a very cute chalet and completed the trip the second day after a visit to the curevac peak. Would highly recommend sleeping in a village inside the park and not just in Zbaljak. It was very relaxing. Weather is on the cold side in late September so be prepared and probably best to come earlier if planning on camping.

Nice view around the dumitor national park. You can reach the peak by cable car. Up then, you can walk a bit uphill to enjoy the great view. Highly recommended
Did today hike to the viewpoint just before the summit peak but above the pass (red marker on screenshot). Hike to the pass: The hike itself can be considered of medium/hard difficulty due to the rock scrambling required. There is a cabled section as well as some steep incline portions but nothing too crazy for experienced hikers. Definitely good hiking shoes are needed, especially on the return. Can be challenging for non avid hikers. Hike from pass to scientic viewpoint (red marker): This is the section in which people mentioned snow. We saw a few people pass on the snow, but without crampons I do not believe it's worth the risk. That's why instead we walked around the snow section on loose rocks - if you look closely at the photo you can see a person who does exactly that. Viewpoint to summit: Haven't done it. It's the most dangerous part with confusing trail, snow and step rock scrambling. Personal opinion: Making it to the scenic viewpoint above the pass is extremely rewarding. The views are amazing.
Amazing peak. It is high, most of the path is quite steep. The last part is very steep and dangerous, a bit exposed. You have to be careful and do it in a good weather. If there very is sunny and dry there isn't any risk here. Views are amazing, you can see Albanian and Bosnian peaks from it. Also there is a beautiful view to Zabliak, and both Tara and Susica canyons. Trail is well marked and can be done from Sedlo pass (longer) or shorter way (you need to drive 2 more km from Sedlo).
Wonderful hike from Sedlo to the top of Bobatov Kuk. Approximately 6km up and 6km back, total elevation around 950m. It should take around 4h hours up and 4 hours down with breaks. Saw 25 balkan chamoises.
Bobotov kuk, i did not plan a day for this, i started the walk at 5:10 in the morning. I bought a great flashlight so i was able to see through the path.. “note, i do not recommend this route to be started in the dark”. The route was nice, the marking was good, but having the map on your watch or phone is recommended. Because i was the first at the parking i got the majestic but weird advantage of getting the bobotov kuk dog to do the entire hike together with me, the views are amazing. 10/10 worth it.. but if you try this. Make sure you have a decent physical condition. Because the last 2k up. It will knock you out😎.
We had started our hike in Zabjak! It is a long way and very hard to get there, lots of rocks and level elevation is crazy. But we did it, it took us 11 hours with all of stops.
Lovely hike in Montenegro with stunning scenery. Big recommendation if you are in the area and look for challenging but rewarding day hike! ⛰️ We (m, 26; f, 24) started from the parking spot (labeled 'Mountain pass Sedlo' on Google), ascended into the basin and followed the trail until we reached the bottom of the final ascend to Bobotov Kuk. From there its all about endurance and patience. Take your time, find your pace and you'll slowly ascend to the top. I agree that the final sequence is a bit sketchy but I would consider it still absolutely doable for almost everyone. Select your steps carefully and you'll be rewarded with a beautiful 360° view of northern Montenegro. ----------------------- Timings Parking - Bottom of Ascend 1H00 Bottom of Ascend - Summit 1H10 (2H10 total) Summit - Parking 1H50 (4H00 total) Note: we are fit hikers/climbers, so these times are not representative for everyone. Also, find attached the route and the hight profile.
Whilst staying near to zabljak we decided we would hike Bobatov Kuk. The decision was made a little last minute but it would’ve been made easier with some clearer info! Start of the walk- We started from ‘Seldo Parking’ as it is named on Google maps. There are a few pins marked with similar names but you are looking for the one that is at the top of the seldo mountain pass, this is said to be the best starting point for more intermediate hikers from our understanding. When to start- As it was July, we got up early and started the walk at 6am. There was only one other car parked at the top of the pass at that time but it turned out to be VERY good move as once the sun comes out on the way back down it is HOT. We passed a lot of people on their way up as we came down that were definitely not going to enjoy the heat on their way back! (Don’t start too late!) Route- Route is marked with red dots and is quite easy to follow however maps.me app was helpful earlier on in the hike just to make sure we were on the right route. The hike is varied in terrain but most of it quite technical such as rocky inclines or areas with sheer drops. There is a roped section close to the start which is fairly similar to what you will encounter near the top. No harness needed but a fall in these areas could potentially be bad so take care and take it steady. We are both quite fit although not huge hikers, the walk was a good challenge for us and the technical bits were a little bit intimidating but doable, we just took it steady and with care! The total distance of the loop was 5.5miles for us and took around 6-6.5hrs to complete. We wore grippy sport trainers which were adequate for the job in dry conditions. If it was wet I would be very reluctant to suggest doing the walk without boots and other equipment. Even if you don’t get to the summit or it is super busy for the final roped section, there are some great views to be had and it’s worth getting as far as you can manage. Great views at the top even when we had a bit of cloud, would recommend the walk. Good luck!

A beautiful natural lake, not much walking path around it. Use the Durmitor ring road to get there and then walk for around 10-15 mins. Worth camping there for a day.... not sure if you can swim in it but the lake is stunning enough during the summer.
An amazing hiking trail , easy to pass with a lot of beautiful nature
A tiny lake (we were there in September) there will probably be a lot more water in the winter and spring seasons. But even so, it's worth a visit. The road by car is lovely and on foot it's literally a 2-3 minute walk. For those who navigate with Waze, the navigation on Google Maps really got confusing.
Spent a whole day here. The Black Lake is spectacular. Arrive early to beat the crowds. Walk anticlockwise for the best views. Swim in the lake in the summer and otherwise just enjoy the magnificent views.
A beautiful lake to visit. Less impressive than the Black Lake, but much more intimate. There are spots where you can sit and have a picnic after about 40 minutes of walking from the Black Lake.
Horrible. Змиње језеро, translated to snake lake, and I haven't seen a single snake, nor was bitten by one. I'll try to get a refund.
Amazing mountain lake with beautiful colors, nice walk to reach de place. Impossible de swim in the lake.
Very nice little lake an easy hike away from Black Lake. Plenty of tasty wild blueberries around the lake.
