Ordered the filet mignon that is in the menu picture (you can find mine here attached) and carne do sol with rice and cassava puree (awful). Filet mignon a little over cooked than I asked. Loved the premium drinks though!

My wife and I couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate our anniversary. We can’t put into words the quality of both the food and the service Bataclan delivered tonight. I ordered the filet mignon with penne with gorgonzola sauce and my wife had the sea food pasta, our entrees were excellent and perfectly cooked. My wife had a delicious Argentinean Malbec and I had the coldest tap beer you can possibly imagine. The historical site and live violinist adds even more reasons to visit this place. One of greatest experiences Ilheus has to offer.

The Cathedral was founded in 1913. It is indeed a masterpiece. Its nave has an impressive 48 meter high. The dominant style is the Neoclassical. It is a free entrance.

Jorge Amado wrote several Brazilian stories. It was good to visit the place where some of them might have been written .

The place seems forgotten by the local administration. It’s closed because of COVID but regardless of that it looks so forgotten. Painting got old, there are plants growing in the balconies, the place is forgotten. It proves the Brazilian tradition of destroying its history. Jorge Amado was one of Brazil’s greatest writers, his memory must be preserved, though the local administration of Ilheus seems to be doing that it can to destroy Jorge Amado’s memory.

Definitely worth visiting but don't get too excited - the exhibition is quite poor. It could be sooo much better if well administrated. Also, only cash accepted for the tickets.

Closed on the weekend, even on Saturday there's no chance to visit
