Absolutely fantastic! FREE parking, FREE to enter and so much to see and learn! Brilliant for people of all ages. Pottery museum, Glass museum and glass blowing demonstrations to enjoy FREE. Hand made marble pick and mix at a brilliant price starting at 5p per marble. Various marble runs throughout the museum are works of art and the giant marble run in the shop is brilliant also. Staff were brilliant and the glass blowers were fascinating to watch and their work is insane!! Coffee shop onsite with some lovely coffee. It was a bit slow getting served but they were busy, so kind of expected. Outdoor games garden for kids of all ages 😂 Toilets and disabled friendly
Such a lovely place to visit. The museum is very interesting and the kids there clearly loved the exhibits. We saw some glass blowing demonstrations and visited the cafe. There's a large play area for the kids to enjoy and the gift shop is HUGE! A great "free" attraction where you can entertain the kids and only spend what you can afford. Highly recommend
Lovely place to visit - a few free museums (with buttons to press to make marbles run) and live glass blowing demos going on to watch. Cafe was really nice with indoor, outdoor and conservatory seating. We had cream tea which was superb. Only complaint is that the tables are a little small. Very busy so advisable to book especially if you're a big group. Gift shop is full of gorgeous stuff but pricey. All in all a great putstop on the way home from Devon.
An amazing experience full of interesting information, fascinating marble runs and a very large gift shop (parents beware! 😆) there's also a nice outdoor play area and coffee shop too. Well worth the visit, especially on a rainy day during the hols (it does get very busy though!)
Lovely place to visit, especially on a wet day, fun, history and also get to see them glass blowing in the back room too, big shop, fabulous glass artworks Free
We were surprised how good this place was. Visited on a whim as on the map on the way home. The shop had some great childhood memories to purchase and the marble runs where great fun to start and watch. Was surprised that the shop kept going and going. Watching items being made as well was very interesting. Staff very polite and helpful.Highly recommend.
All the times I have been to Devon and I never knew this place was here. Absolutely wonderful place. The shop has literally everything in it. I struggled to get my child out. Loved watching the glass blowing and my little on was extremely excited to go in the play park. He also got his first little bag of marbles which he is very excited to play with. Definitely worth a visit.
Quite a nice place to visit to checkout the marbles, pottery and glass blowing areas of the museum with interesting items on show and to watch with a fair sized area with things to buy (lots of Marbles 😁) over two floors, also a cafe, I enjoyed it and had a little spend (I now have a spare bag of marbles for when I loose mine lol).

I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Pulp exhibition last weekend. I came by bus from Exeter and it is just 2 mins away from MAKE Southwest. The space was accessible and welcoming. I didn't go to the cafe but it looked welcoming and I note that it is dog-friendly. No fee to come in but donations are appreciated. A very uplifting experience, thank you.
We attended a free event over the summer holidays. It was a hands on craft event aimed at children from 5+ The lady running the course was patient, kind and inclusive. All materials were provided including refreshments and biscuits. We will definitely keep our eyes open for future events and classes.
A beautiful setting on the edge of a river. This building has thick stone white washed walls. Exhibiting many artists working in different mediums. The shop has a range of crafts books and prints. Upstairs there was a pop up cafe. A short bus ride on the no.39 from Newton Abbot. House of marbles is nearby and also worth the visit. They have workshops running for children too
Fun to browse, but realistically don't think I would be purchasing very much. There are one or two items that appeal to me but are way over my budget but there is an awful lot I find difficult to see the reasoning behind or how the could command the price tag. I do however appreciate that we have our own personal tastes in art and crafts. ..... The Terrace Coffee Shop is nevertheless a lovely welcoming place with a very nice menu .... I had given you 4* until an extremely ignorant member of staff almost knocked my husband off his feet in her need to rush past. Totally ignoring the fact, and then did the same to me on her way back
Interesting display of bells, grandchildren loved it as we were able to touch them. Nice cafe as well.
Beautiful exhibition, excellent cafe. Friendly and helpful staff. Will visit again
£4.50 for my cream tea was good value and generous as well as tasty. We had a substandard cookie that we took back because it was not pleasant which was replaced without quibble. Great atmosphere and lovely roof terrace if the weather is fine. Prompt service and friendly staff.
Lovely arts gallery right in the old River Mill next to the park in Bovey Tracey. All sorts of unique pieces mixed with some more traditional crafted arts. Lots of pricey gifts, jewelry, accessories, and art items, but a mix of some more affordable pieces as well.

Fantastic atmosphere created by Chris and Rachel here at "The Jolly Roger" and "Josie's", the number of motorcycles in the museum is amazing. Some new additions added this year and a must see attraction.
Unbelievable place. What an amazing collection of custom and vintage bikes and trikes and life sized models of people and animals. Loved it. Just a note, bring cash for the second hand bike gear
Just had a jolly good day.Enjoyed a couple coffees and a sausage rolls Great collection of bikes and amazing models.Enjoyed a chat with the owner Chris. Hope my photos explain this place more than words can describe.
What a wonderful collections, WOW so many many many collections 🤯 displays of motorcycles, as well as the artwork displays too incredible. Cafe Bacon Sangers yummy 🤤 and don't forget to visit the shop too.
An excellent collection of vintage and custom motorbikes and memorabilia, focussing on Americana, quirkily accentuated by the life size models and figures in The Jolly Rogers showroom. We had a great time visiting and loved the eccentric atmosphere - it captured a working bike workshop coupled with a curio museum perfectly, and the cafe looked great!
If you've not been you are missing out.. A truly amazing place to visit if you like life-size models, dinosaurs 🦕 etc and motorcycles. Great free venue to walk around and enjoy.. great little cafe serving food and hot drinks. Take a look...dont take my word for it... then try and explain to someone else what its all about... Good luck.😊

Does what it says !!! Well situated in the main car park
Don't be put off by the misleading Google Street View image. This light spacious wooden shed in the car park is a mine of helpful information for visitors to the town and Dartmoor. Really helpful staff (volunteers I think) A must to pop in and gather what's on and where.
Lovely lady works here, little boy visits the library every week, always very welcoming
Staff very helpful and parking on site, close to the town and cafes/pubs. Lovely placem
Very helpful ladies who helped with showing me on maps the cycle route from campsite to Moretonhampstead. The route is not currently shown in Google Maps.
"BOVEY TRACEY INFORMATION CENTRE"..... An area steeped in history with a lively high street full of colourful flower baskets during the spring and summer months....." BOVEY TRACEY", blink and you will miss it......Though their is history here that dates back to "OLIVER CROMWELL" if you look and ask for information as to when, where it all happened....."BOVEY TRACEY INFORMATION CENTRE"......Don't miss out, ask if you really want to 'explore' the area....."BOVEY HANDLOOM WEAVERS" - "THE DOLPHIN" - "OLIVER CROMWELL" - "THE FLYING PINK PIG" - "THE OLD ARCH" - "THE BATTLE SITE" - "THE WHISKEY DISTILLERY" - "THE BELL INN" - "THE JOLLY ROGER" - "ST PETER, ST PAUL, ST THOMAS".....That takes care of your 'first days' visit to "BOVEY TRACEY".....

Beautiful walking track around a nice reservoir. The main car park had two toilets right next to it. Beautiful scenery, loads of people meandering about with their dogs, and just a really nice atmosphere all around.
Beautiful little reservoir walk. Not the longest walk but very scenic. There are actually 2 reservoirs joined together Tottiford and Trenchford. Trenchford is slightly larger and has a decent sized parking area with picnic area and toilets. You do have to pay to park here. Tottiford on the other hand has a small carpark, pull in, unfortunately not with any facilities but great to do the shorter loop of just Tottiford reservoir. Dogs are welcome on leads and kept out of the water. Although a very level walk there are tree roots and ground level obstacles which may make differently-abled access difficult.
Beautiful walk on a sunny day. Picturesque. All round beautifully quiet location.
Beautiful countryside but it would be better if dog walkers picked up after their dogs and had control over their animals.
Fantastic walks and lovely scenery.
Beautiful reservoir. Just be careful with your footing in places as alot of tree roots
Beautiful reservoir with lots of walks. Didn't get chance to really explore the area but when the weather is better will be lots to see and discover.
Amazing location to take a walk, photography, chill. Take food and drink, and enjoy.

Attended on 20th April for my Father in laws birthday. Had a fantastic time. Greg was so passionate and loves what he does & produces. The room was wonderfuly decorated and the tables were set up ready for the tasting. Loved that you could ask Greg and his team anything. Enjoyed the visit to the gift shop after as well, and the team were very helpful and insightful on the products. Looking forward to the future.
Had an awesome time at Dartmoor Whisky Distillery. Greg led our tour and absolutely nailed it. He’s not just making whisky—he’s building something with real heart. You can feel the passion in every word as he tells the story of how he set it all up from scratch. Some of my mates were more focused on the whisky itself, but honestly, I was just as into Greg’s journey—he’s clearly put everything into this place, and it shows. It felt less like a tour and more like getting let in on a great secret by someone who truly cares. Support this guy. Support this distillery. And if you get the chance, ask for Greg—you’ll walk out knowing a lot more about whisky, and even more about what it means to build something that matters.
We held a celebration of life at the Dartmoor whiskey distillery, this went to well and Greg was so open to you using the place you wished as your own which was really relaxing. The building and decor is perfect and well thought out Greg went above and beyond to help us make the day go as perfectly as it did for my gran thank you. Recommend the use of the distillery for private events.
Amazing. Amazing whisky, an amazing story. Whisky distilled in a unique way, Barley from a single local farmer from 2 fields to a local brewery where the Beer wash is made and transported by Gregg the owner. Distilled in a single pot. This is true artisan whisky made by a man who is in love with what he does!! Not many people I'm envious of!!!
Great whiskey tasting experience. What a beautiful building and a top distillery. Sherry cask my personal favourite! The team are so passionate and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend. 🥃👍
Today we visited this lovely establishment. We were greeted by Greg who is the owner. He very kindly showed us around and explained how everything worked. The place itself is prime location amongst shops and cafe and can easily be visited as part of a day out. They do Saturday taster days also. We tried a few variations of Whisky and gin, all of which had their own unique flavourings. I would certainly recommend looking this place up. I have included the leaflet for info. Thanks again Greg 😊
A different experience to visiting any of the Distilleries in Scotland, And that's a good thing!! It's a micro Distillery so is compact and the tour is part video and part discussion with the founder which i found this more intresting and insightful. Its one mans dream and he's made it work. Highly recommend the bourbon cask Whiskey.
Absolutely fantastic experience. Greg has so much passion for his whisky and that shines through with his talk. Fascinating to learn of the history and the process, and of course, the whiskys taste amazing. Highly recommend this.
