I’ve been attached with this spa for several years and their services are still good as the 1st day I step into the place. I still remember I was so afraid of massage as I felt massaging is so painful and I couldn’t even relax myself to enjoy the treatment. Until one day, my friend invited me to go for a trial at Danai through Groupon. It’s was so cheap and worth it and I just told myself, no harm trying just remember to tell the therapist to be really gentle on me. Right after tat treatment, I was so addicted to massage. ☺️ You’ll be serve with their traditional ginger tea upon arrival. Then the therapist who is going to give u the massage later will help u wash ur feet clean before entering the treatment room. Right after that, your therapist will then invite you the treatment room for u to change. You could press the bell for the therapist after changing and ready for your massage. After ur massage they have several stuff ready for u to comb your hair and lotion too before u change into your own garments. They will then serve you with your preferred tea with nuts before you leave. Thanks Danai for serving me well for the passed years 😉
Had a nice relaxing massage . The massage was done nicely and just the right amount of pressure and provided a calm and relief for the sore muscles . Nice and quiet environment . The ambience was nice and The deco was Balinese with soothing appropriate music in the background . Good for a recharge
You will miss out the place when First time going coz will drive through residential houses but is worth finding this place
Good ambience. Clean sheets and room. Pleasant and helpful staff.
Very nice ambience for a relax massage. The bed is equipped with hot blankets, one good take is they changed all bedsheets for each customer. They also provide complimentary meal for their customer. Great place for relax. But remember to call for reservation especially weekend.
I have had the 2 hours signature massage at the Tanjung Bungah branch. And the massage was very good, good pressure and very relaxing. They let you choose the scent of oil you would like for your massage out of 9 choices. Before and after they serve a beverage. Overall the experience has been great.
Danai Signature Massage. Joined as a member, took their package and had a free voucher. Came here for the Free Danai Signature Massage. Was very pleased with their service and massages. Love the ambience, interior design, relaxing spa music, their strong yet gentle masseuse. Even better, You get to choose your own massage oil! Looking forward for the next session.
Got myself and my mum our spa experience here and would say the ambience is of a great balinese feel. Small spa but really beautiful. We were greeted by friendly faces, and the massage made my mum's body feel light, she had pain on her back so she's really happy that the massage helps her. Background song of nature must have complimented the relaxing massages. The masseuse knew where to massage the tight knots, which was painful at first then after that the knotted feeling is gone. Danai spa have got a great team of people working , I manage to get their names, Estee, Monica and Lynn. Kudos to them for the warm, friendly and relaxing experience.

Floating Mosque, Penang – A Unique Coastal Landmark The Floating Mosque of Penang, or Masjid Terapung Tanjung Bungah, is a stunning coastal mosque located along the shores of Tanjung Bungah. Built after the 2004 tsunami, it stands gracefully over the water, giving the impression that it’s floating, especially during high tide. Architecturally, it’s a beautiful blend of Middle Eastern and local Islamic styles, featuring a towering minaret, elegant domes, and intricate tile work. The mosque is not only a place of worship for Muslims but also a serene and scenic destination for tourists. The sound of waves beneath and the peaceful sea breeze make it a calming spot for reflection and relaxation. Visitors are welcome to enter the mosque outside of prayer times, as long as they dress modestly. The views during sunset are especially breathtaking, with the golden sky reflecting off the sea and the mosque's white walls. Located about 20 minutes from George Town, it’s easily accessible by car or public transport. Surrounding beaches and nearby food stalls offering local treats make it a perfect short stop. Whether you're seeking spiritual peace or simply love coastal architecture, the Floating Mosque is one of Penang’s most beautiful and memorable landmarks.
A beautiful floating Mosque. It's worth coming here and soaking up the atmosphere of this place. I was provided with appropriate clothing at the entrance. At the end, I was also offered a hot drink resembling tea. Thank you. There were few visitors, and the beautiful weather allowed for beautiful photos. P.S. + Sunday Large parking lot Toilet Hammam
The Floating Mosque is a stunning and serene landmark in Penang. Built over the sea, it truly lives up to its name — the view of the mosque surrounded by water is beautiful, especially during high tide. The architecture is elegant, and the whole area feels peaceful and calm. It’s a great spot to admire the coastal scenery and appreciate the cultural heritage of the island. Definitely worth a visit when exploring Penang.
Another beautiful floating mosque that has piqued my interests. The exterior is an intricate motif that gives off the Islamic vibes that blends in marvelously with the environment. While the low tides ruined the illusion a little, still a great mosque for passersby to come by.
Very tranquil place. Clean cool and calm atmosphere. Not big but has all facilities Worth the visit.
Visiting the Floating Mosque in Penang was an amazing experience. I had the chance to pray there, and the view of the mosque over the water was just breathtaking. It’s a peaceful and beautiful place that I highly recommend to anyone coming to Penang.
The mosque is clean and peaceful, especially with its location beside the sea. Alhamdulillah, I was blessed to join the congregational prayer when I arrived during Maghrib.
The Penang Floating Mosque is an atmospheric must-see if you’re near Batu Ferringhi or Tanjung Bungah. It’s perfect for architecture lovers, contemplative seekers, and photography enthusiasts—especially when the tides lift the mosque for that iconic floating illusion. Departure from the usual tourist trail makes this landmark a peaceful, cultural highlight in Penang. As a muslim the scenery of the mosque was something jannati Allhamdulillah. We felt the most relaxing moment here by saying the asar prayer.

The local market is the true heart of our community. From the moment you enter, you can feel the unique atmosphere. The stands are bursting with a wealth of products – from fresh vegetables, fruit, herbs, to excellent meat, fish, and many others I haven't mentioned. What I appreciate most is that everything is fresh, comes from local producers, and is available at exceptionally attractive prices. You can find literally everything you need for cooking here – from basic ingredients to more sophisticated products. The vendors are always friendly and happy to advise you on what to choose. The market is not only a place for shopping, but also for meetings and conversations. The homely atmosphere here makes you want to come back. It's a great alternative to supermarkets – with soul, flavor, freshness, and affordable prices. I recommend it.
Very clean market with varieties. Picked a Fried Fish Noodle. Taste ok but very small portion. Will try something else next time
Tanjung Bungah Market in Penang is a bustling local gem that offers a vibrant mix of fresh produce, seafood, local delicacies, and household goods. Popular with both locals and tourists, it provides a glimpse into everyday Malaysian life. The morning market is especially lively, with friendly vendors and affordable prices. You’ll find everything from tropical fruits to traditional kuih, making it a great spot for a quick local breakfast. The atmosphere is casual and community-oriented, though parking can be tight during peak hours. Overall, it’s a must-visit for anyone wanting an authentic market experience in Tanjung Bungah. Take note , the night market is on every Tuesday
I ordered hokkian lomie, nasi lemak ikan teri, and javanese noodle, suprisingly those are delicious especially the javanese noodle is totally different from the original one which sold in central/east java, it's brown, sweet and dry. That javanese noodle tastes like bolognese contains tomato greavy... similar but different. It's taste amazing tho, nice try... i'd like to bring it home. Just by thinking of it makes me want to order it now eh 🥲 The tandas awam is very clean. Good place good experience.
Used to be my favourite breakfast area and every visit to Penang it's a must go. However this time came on Wednesday most of the stalls aren't open. Do try the Chee cheong fan at shall M43. Come early as it tends to sell out as early as 9am. M45 chicken pie used to be good but only open on certain days if not mistaken only on Friday. Still unable to get the pie after few visit. The curry puff sold on one of the stall here is good, big and crispy. Parking is slightly challenging, do come by bus if you're staying near a bus stop.
Every Tuesday Night Come and experience the vibrant Tanjung Bungah night market which was filled with delicious Penang street food. I was in awe of the sights and smells and was happy to find Frankie's pizza there (a childhood favourite) of mine. You can find fried oysters, mac & cheese, tau foo fah (beancurd) etc!
Nice and clean morning market with a separate food court next to it. Stumbled upon this place on a Thursday morning on my way to Batu Ferringhi. Stopped by for local ice coffee and taste was average.
Good variety, crowded on weekends.

A drive towards the Batu Ferringhi, Teluk Bahang beach and onwards to the water dam was amazing. There are few amazing hotels plus high rise housing as we made our way there. We stopped at the Hardrock hotel for a break before proceeding towards the Dam. People seen strolling along the walking path and admiring the beauties - mountain in the background, fresh water dam on the front and sea beaches ahead. That was good fengshui indeed. The fine weather and scenery are excellent for photography. The beach scenery is excellent with fine white sand and lots of sea breeze good for sea lovers. Restaurants beside the main road are open serving local delicacies and shops selling beach costumes tempted us to stop by and shop for some souveniers. We are planning for another trip soon staying at one of the beach hotels. Local residents humbly advised us to reserve the hotel room in advance and there's peak and low seasons. There are express buses from the mainland to the island and transport is relatively convenient.
Pretty standard beach. Not so crowded. There is parking spot at RM5 per entry. But be careful on parking under a tree. Strong wind might break a branch or two and hit on your car.
Came here during the weekend wit missus and kids in tow. This beach is open to the public but u've got to pay a small sum for the parking. We were given the permission to use the toilet in the Indian temple right beside the beach. The overflowing garbage was unslightly. Suggestion: MBPP pls do provide more dustbins and help to empty the full bins periodically.
Overall a nice place to spend some nice, relaxing time with family, friends or even alone. Friendly food seller. But beach and sea aren't always very clean. Last time it didn't look clean and safe enough for swimming, but we had still a great time
It's beach at the city of Teluk Bahang. The beach is located in front of the 5star hotel, but it seems like it's publich beach that everyone can access. There were not so many people there even I visited at weekend (Saturday). The water is clean, but not cristal clear, but enough to enjoy and relax. The bech is not fine sands including small gravel, better fo wear sandals. Overall it's very good beach to relax.
Went a few days ago and the water wasn’t very clean, I think that’s expected in rainy season when the water is slightly murky at shore. I dipped my feet in but didn’t dare swim as it looked polluted. There were people fishing and playing on the beach. I loved relaxing on the beach and hearing the sound of the water. It’s a great place for water sports too, lots of jet skis. Went on a Saturday and it was quiet with a few families.
There are 3 cat sanctuaries near by. They are more of a cat rescue centers. Anybody can adopt a cat, donate or sponsored a cat. And a dog sanctuary further up. Dog sanctuary unfortunately only opens on weekend.
Decent beach with boat rides, parasailing, horse rides and some food stalls. The beach is about 1km long with a fishing village on one end and a rocky outcrop on the other. In the middle is the 5-star Angsana Beach Resort. High tide sometimes brings along a fishy smell though it’s bearable. The shore level falls deep after about 4-6 meters from the water-line (depending on tide) so it’s not very safe for non-swimmers and young children. I have not seen a life guard here. Having said that, there are still lots of families with children who swim here. Good for a walk along the beach. Good for photography especially when the sun is low on the horizon. This is a public-access beach. Parking is available on a sand and gravel lot next to the Resort at RM5 per entry on weekends and holidays, free on weekdays.

Natural products & Superbly decorated store I should have taken pictures during my visit today but alas, I did not. It is always such a pleasant experience to go shop there although, the customer service could be improved. Cashier is not the warmest although the owners definitely are! I regularly visit to top up on their all natural products and especially love their all natural mosquito repellent and deodorant. Still lots to try! Tons of beautifully crafted gifts!
Felt so blessed that I found this awesome shop selling high quality skincare products at the most competitive prices. Also, what I love most is I can pay with my favorite Touch N Go eWallet payment. At the same time I managed to drop off my parcel here as the shop is a drop off point for DHL e-commerce.
Congratulations on your 10th anniversary! Witnessing your growth and the diversification of your products has been truly inspiring. PS: thanks for the gift voucher 🌹
My hair and scalp is the healthiest it has been my entire life since I changed to their shampoos. The soaps, omg! Works wonder for us husband and wife and also my cousin and niece who also have skin sensitivities. :) Cannot recommend their range of products enough!!! Soooooo divinely awesome! ❤️❤️❤️
The best soap you can buy in Malaysia and easily the nicest people you'll ever deal with in retail. Can't recommend them enough. Buy all your soap here! Also means using less plastic bottles so better for the environment too. The soap never dries out your skin and the fragrances they use are all great. The sandalwood is particularly great.
The only Ninja Van parcel drop off point in Tanjung Bungah! Managed to drop off my parcel here and they scan it immediately. Good service, keep it up.
Great variety of everything you need with excellent assistance 👍
