Wonderful clean state park. The staff was always extremely helpful. A bait shop was available within the park along with pontoon, kayaks, and stand-up paddle board rentals. The beach is just a short walk down a boardwalk it expansive and not crowded at all. The park also had some well maintained trails. Had a great time camping at this park, I give it a 10/10!!
True Florida beach retreat!!!! Remote, uncrowded, most beautiful white sandy wide beaches!! If you wanna get away from the everyday routine and enjoy the real beach life this is it!! Clean, safe, well maintained and staff do a great job. Beach camping perfect. You will not find a more beautiful uncrowded white sandy beach open to the public anywhere in Florida. All facilities top notch and well recovered from hard hits from the past storms.
We camp here in our class C motor home every year or two in the fall. The beach is not crowded and very close to the campground. The sites are large and have gravel (small aggregate) parking areas. The bathhouses are nice. The park also has a public area for day use. There is a beach on oceanfront side as well as a bay on the port side. A few cabins are available to rent. There are a couple of hiking trails, but I have not been in those. There is also a store inside the park with rentals and supplies. The only negative in the fall are the dog flies (biting flies). Thankfully, we only had this one day on this trip but last time we were here it was really bad. Normal aerosol insect repellent as well as essential oil repellant does not work on these flies! A little bit of internet research suggests the flies come when the wind changes and blows from the mainland or it is not windy at all. The internet also recommends certain brands of repellant as being more effective which I plan to invest in next time I come. It’s not a deal breaker for me because it is absolutely beautiful when the weather and insects cooperate
Awesome Florida State Park! We stayed in one of the cabins which are along the Port Saint Joseph Bay side. The cabins are newly renovated after being hit by hurricane Michael in 2018. The cabins are one bedroom (actually a loft) and one bath. Behind the cabins is Port St Joe Bay and several hundred feet out the front of the cabins is the Gulf. The park also has an RV campground, a primitive group camping site, as well as two day-use beaches... a small beach on the Bay side and a large beach on the Gulf side which a few pavilions. There are several nature trails in the park where you can often see deer and other wildlife. The park has a small store in the day-use area that sells snacks, drinks, some limited groceries, and fishing supplies. They also offer rentals of beach items as well as rentals of pontoon boats, kayaks, and canoes. It's a beautiful state park that is all about fun in the sun. Great place to visit if you like sand and surf. Highly recommended.
The campground itself is in a stunning location—beautiful beaches, peaceful surroundings, and great views. We were so excited for our stay and had high hopes for a relaxing camping trip with our family. Unfortunately, our experience was ruined by a serious fire ant problem at Site 34. We set up everything and got settled for the night, only to discover fire ants all over our baby’s pack ’n play. We called and they came out and put ant killer around and everything was fine. The next day the ants were back and with vengeance. It was horrifying and completely unacceptable, especially with a little one involved. We ended up having to pack up and leave in the middle of the night just to keep our baby safe. It was chaotic, stressful, and honestly dangerous. I myself got stung 3 times. (I think the ants are nested under the gravel) I’m leaving three stars because the location really is beautiful—but management needs to seriously address pest control. If you’re traveling with young kids, I would definitely avoid Site 34 until the issue is resolved.
Wonderful camping experience. Excellent large flat campsite with full hookup. Whitetail deer and osprey. Beautiful beaches with extensive boardwalks and out door showers. Bike and hiking trails.
The water was beautiful. Eagles Landing is such a great place to launch a boat, kayak but for the most fun to be had is for young kids. You can walk hundreds of yards in clear shallow water.
Beautiful gulf beach area. Open ocean to the west even though you are on FL panhandle. Great inshore environment for sightseeing both in and out of the water. Multiple areas to access the water on both sides. Camping, hiking trails, even some back country camping out towards the point. And added entertainment from the USAF and others.

This is our first time here and we love it. It doesn’t have a lot of tourist activity. It’s a nice slow paced beach town. Perfect for families and hanging out on a quiet beach. The beaches are great. The sand is white and so fine.
Our favorite place to take family vacations. Nice, quiet, peaceful & not commercialized & over crowded.
Wow, what a fabulous place! We visited for Thanksgiving in November 2019 and it was perfectly quiet! You could walk the beach for miles and only pass a handful of people. And they allow dogs, which I’m sure makes this absolute Labrador heaven! Yet it’s not at all over-run by dogs and the owners all seem to be responsible-I never saw a single bit of doggy waste! I’m already missing the soft white sand and beautiful gentle surf, the sunsets, and OMG I just got home yesterday and I can’t wait to go back!! 💕🏖
You can drive on the beach by purchasing A Beach Pass🚗 Fur Babies are welcome on the beach 🐶🐕🦮🌊🏖 Quiet, uncrowded, and incredibly beautiful—Cape San Blas offers both beach and bay adventures, from kayaking and paddleboarding to long walks on powder-soft sand. Whether it's shell hunting at low tide, bonfires under a starlit sky, or simply unplugging to soak in the peace—this place feels like a deep breath for the soul. This is our playground. We love the casual, laid-back beach vibes here. Good for dolphin watching and shell hunting. It's very community minded, everyone is always so friendly. I feel blessed to call Cape San Blas my home and workplace!
I miss the beach in off season. Not crowded. Can have a fire on the beach at night. Very beautiful chill beach. Just lovely.
Beautiful, no congestion or heavy traffic!
We've really enjoyed our time on Cape San Blas. It's more low-key than many of the more touristy places further west on the panhandle, and has gorgeous beaches.
Absolutely love the beach at Cape San Blas. Miles of shoreline and very wide. Dog friendly and our lab had a blast. Drive your vehicle on the beach with a permit only.

Lighthouses

Very cool lighthouse and with fabulous views. It is taller than it looks. I would not recommend purchasing tickets at the visitor center if you have any phobias of tight spaces or heights. There is also a height restriction for children who are under about 4ft due to safety reasons. The stairs are narrow and quite steep and it is a trek to climb up but the view is spectacular. The grounds lead out to the shore. There are picnic areas. Great place to walk to from downtown.
It is a literal hike up the narrow stairs to get to the top of this historic lighthouse, but it is worth it! I would not recommend if you have fear of heights and/or small spaces. If not, though, then this is a fun, inexpensive tourist attraction!
Totally worth the cost of climbing. The stairs inside are narrow and at one heck of an angle as you reach the top. Only one person may clear the staircase at a time, yeah, it's that close as you spiral up. Once at the top, the view and wind are spectacular. Can't remember the cost to climb, maybe $5? The keeper's house has been renovated and is a fantastic walk through history. Staff was knowledgeable and kind. It's not the tallest lighthouse nor the original but the information about it is wonderful. Tons of parking.
I’m biased because I’m part of the team that keeps this light shining… but this lighthouse, in its current location safe from erosion, is just AWESOME! It’s so cool to climb its stairs and think about the keepers that came before us, and kept the light shining even during storms where their own safety might be in jeopardy. Back in the days prior to GPS and radar, these lights were life or death to mariners. Come check it out go yourself!
Beautiful Lighthouse and Wonderful Volunteers. What a beautiful and must-see stop! The story behind how this lighthouse was preserved is truly amazing. The volunteer greeting visitors and guiding the climb up the tower was so passionate and knowledgeable — she shared so much interesting history and detail that really brought the place to life. The views are incredible, and the dedication of the volunteers makes the experience even more special. If you’re in the area, this is an absolute must-stop!
There are 131 steps to reach the top of this lighthouse with panoramic views of Port St. Joe and St. Joseph Bay’s coastline. Friendly staff at the museum/gift shop. The CLEANEST and BEST restroom in all of the Panhandle! 👏🏾👏🏾
Wow awesome view! Good workout to get up all the steps ..I thanked tiger rock academy got me in shape to climb! Judy museum sales lady amazes one with all sorts of stories about beaches and her father building Cyprus knot house, great sales lady! I bought shirt, necklace, watercolor of lighthouse.
This lighthouse is in a perfect location. We stayed at the Hotel St. Joseph. It was about a 5 minute walk. The lighthouse has a beautiful 360° view of the bay and Poet St. Joe. Well maintained.

I can’t tell you what a blessing this marina was to us. To be able to arrive safely here after a terrifying 17 hour trip to keep our yacht safe from expected surges from Milton, was nothing short of a miracle. And then to find the marina itself was so beautiful and well kept, and the people everywhere in this town were beyond nice. Marina workers, especially Joe (I’m pretty sure he was an angel), were so helpful and kind- going way above and beyond what anyone would expect. This marina and this town (easily accessible with a short walk) ministered to us with peacefulness, fantastic food, great entertainment, lovely shops and a welcoming spirit. We will be back. I’m quite certain we will come by car next time, but we will be back. I’m grateful for the lovely pinecones I gathered and the cozy sweatshirt hoodie I bought at the marina store which will always remind me of this sweet little town. Residents-Stop asking people to move there and don’t change a thing. You all have a GEM. Protect it. God bless you all, and thank you! The owners and crew of ShipsAhoy!.
Was very surprised how low on price of sunset dolphin cruise. Aquamarine cruises Sept. $35 per person. We'll go back over & over. Nice, clean. Bring your own cooler.
So let me hip you to another place where you can not only relax and enjoy the view, you can also catch a fish or two. Took my granddaughter there to fish for the 1st time, and I practically had to drag her away. I think I've found me a new fishing partner. What a view.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL MARINA. Our boat broke down and was towed to Point South Marina, we sure got lucky breaking down near this marina. It is a beautiful new marina, amazingly helpful staff, completely safe, very clean grounds as well as clean bathroom/shower, lots of parking, and a fantastic store. Their transient slips are great and super reasonably priced. Looks like a great place to go out fishing as well
The Marina staff is "over the top". They helped us into the slip, check on us later that day. Every morning the staff walks the dock, very friendly. Very protected harbour. Neighbouring boats all are friendly. Would say one of the nicest marinas i have been to in a very long time!
Nice marina and view from motel is really nice.
Awesome marina. We came in for fuel this week. Staff on the dock waiting for our arrival. Fast, efficient pumps and great fuel prices! The facility itself is better than I have seen in the Emerald Coast!
Kept pretty and clean, lots of great access.

Went on a ride a week or so back and it was amazing. We drove from PCB and it was my husband's, daughters and her boyfriends first time riding on the beach. Was great. Its going to be on our must list from now on. I rode on Dunkin and he was great. Our guide was great too and super friendly. Took our pictures and was just great to be around. I can not express how much I enjoyed this. 5 stars.. Looking forward to next year...
Thanks again Darby! We had an excellent experience horseback riding along the ocean! 🌊🐎. We did the sunset ride! It was a one-hour ride along the ocean. We met at Salinas Park. It was a very casual ride. Definitely recommend!
Riding a horse on on ocean beach was on my bucket list. We rode on 1/27/22 with Rocking M Ranch. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Russell returned my call promptly. He knew we had plenty of time in the area so he rearranged our ride date so the weather was perfect. Darley could not have been more professional or attentive to us and the horses. He was willing to take as many pictures as we wanted. I could not have asked for anything more. If you're thinking about riding on the beach ,do it. Book with Rocking M!!
We had a great ride! It was fun, peaceful, and perfect weather. Our guide was great and the horses were amgels! Very well taken care of also. Ive owned horses all my life and been on lots of rides and sometimes the horses aren't in the best condition. Such an amazing experience! Two Bits stables canceled on us a week before our ride and Rockin M was able to accommodate us with no problems!
I surprised my boyfriend with a sunset ride for his birthday and I can’t even explain how wonderful this experience was. We enjoyed every second of it. I sadly do not remember our tour guide’s name but she was simply amazing. She held great conversation and took very nice pictures of us. It almost felt as if she were a friend taking the ride with us. We arrived earlier than expected and was able to take our ride alone, with just us and the tour guide which we loved. We were beyond grateful that the rain from the evening did not cause our ride to be canceled. Everything worked out so perfectly. 10/10 recommend. I will be booking this for my parents when they visit. Thank you!!!
Hands down one of my favorite experiences ever! My husband & I celebrated our anniversary in PCB & had planned to ride horses with another ranch who totally blew us off. I’m so thankful they did because that’s how we discovered Rockin M’! They were WONDERFUL! Darby was great. He even stopped & took pictures for everyone. The weather was good for a November day & the horses were very calm. I felt so comfortable. We will definitely be back!
Darbey was great! Made sure everyone was comfortable along the ride and knew how to handle their horse! He also made sure to get pictures for us! Would highly recommend horseback riding on the beach, but also this company! Russell got back with me right away and was able to get our bigger group (6) in before we left. My daughter enjoyed her birthday present.
We had a fabulous time on our horse ride tonight. My husband is actually scared of horses and said he had fun when we were done. Russell was great! He got great pics of us right before we got rained on for our ride back. The horses handled the rain well and we were still able to see the sunset, double rainbow, a shark and some dolphin. Getting soaked was definitely worth it!
This was the most perfect experience ever. The guide was super nice and we had a great time. We have experience with horses, but this ride is great for all levels of experience. Just perfect. Highly recommend!

The constitution convention museum was a great little Florida history lesson the park ranger was awesome nice little 20 to 30 minute AC break from beach fun
The Constitution Convention Museum in Port St. Joe is small, but excellent. The park ranger, Joanna Lindsey was wonderful. She was full of information about the history of the area and she spent quite a bit of time talking with my daughter about everything from the constitution and yellow fever ravaging the town to local ghost stories. My daughter could have listened to her for hours. She clearly has a love for her job. We will definitely visit again when in Port St. Joe.
We love visiting lighthouses and this one did not disappoint! A gift shop and a history lesson on the light house
Very nice. Informative. Cute little place to learn about Florida history. My history buff daughter loved it.
This was a great experience for my family. The park rangers are very nice and the cost to get in is reasonable.
My friends and I were pleasantly surprised by this state park. The museum was well thought out and informative. The park ranger in charge of taking care of everything was wonderful and shared so many fun and interesting facts with us. She clearly cares about the state park and is doing a great job maintaining it. Definitely worth the visit.
This was one of my favorite places I visited during my trip to Port St. Joe. Who knew that this humble beach town was so rich in history? This museum is very educational and fun. You can even take home a small copy of the Florida constitution.
The park ranger was so funny and informative! The museum had a good set up and showed off a variety of artifacts from Port St Joe. The signs were descriptive. I feel like I left with a better understanding of the history of this town and how it was established.
