The 24 best neighborhoods to see in Port Saint Joe

It is a literal hike up the narrow stairs to get to the top of this historic lighthouse, but it is worth it! I would not recommend if you have fear of heights and/or small spaces. If not, though, then this is a fun, inexpensive tourist attraction!

Totally worth the cost of climbing. The stairs inside are narrow and at one heck of an angle as you reach the top. Only one person may clear the staircase at a time, yeah, it's that close as you spiral up. Once at the top, the view and wind are spectacular. Can't remember the cost to climb, maybe $5? The keeper's house has been renovated and is a fantastic walk through history. Staff was knowledgeable and kind. It's not the tallest lighthouse nor the original but the information about it is wonderful. Tons of parking.

I’m biased because I’m part of the team that keeps this light shining… but this lighthouse, in its current location safe from erosion, is just AWESOME! It’s so cool to climb its stairs and think about the keepers that came before us, and kept the light shining even during storms where their own safety might be in jeopardy. Back in the days prior to GPS and radar, these lights were life or death to mariners. Come check it out go yourself!

Beautiful Lighthouse and Wonderful Volunteers. What a beautiful and must-see stop! The story behind how this lighthouse was preserved is truly amazing. The volunteer greeting visitors and guiding the climb up the tower was so passionate and knowledgeable — she shared so much interesting history and detail that really brought the place to life. The views are incredible, and the dedication of the volunteers makes the experience even more special. If you’re in the area, this is an absolute must-stop!

There are 131 steps to reach the top of this lighthouse with panoramic views of Port St. Joe and St. Joseph Bay’s coastline. Friendly staff at the museum/gift shop. The CLEANEST and BEST restroom in all of the Panhandle! 👏🏾👏🏾

Wow awesome view! Good workout to get up all the steps ..I thanked tiger rock academy got me in shape to climb! Judy museum sales lady amazes one with all sorts of stories about beaches and her father building Cyprus knot house, great sales lady! I bought shirt, necklace, watercolor of lighthouse.

This lighthouse is in a perfect location. We stayed at the Hotel St. Joseph. It was about a 5 minute walk. The lighthouse has a beautiful 360° view of the bay and Poet St. Joe. Well maintained.

This is beyond spectacular for free. Got there as soon as our reptilian friends were being taken out and thoroughly enjoyed our tour and time. Our guide (I'm sorry I didn't get her name) was a hugely enthusiastic and informative volunteer. There aren't a ton of rescues BUT more on the way. We also listened to the current running numbers on nests/nesting throughout the area with 51 alone in the state park, of which we found 2 when we left as we were headed to the bay on double red flag day anyway. Get some gifts and though I didn't have cash you can always sponsor a nest which is always fun to track with the kids online. Honu, the cat, was entertaining and friendly. There's plenty of parking but we would get there early when everyone's getting fed. Donate! It is so worth it and ask about the Leatherback that ran up into Indian Pass last season, it's impressive.

FREE!!! Educational and entertaining! The volunteers are knowledgeable, and it is obvious they are passionate about not just sea turtles but also about land turtles. I was impressed with the presentations because they engaged young children and adults.

The Forgotten Coast Sea Turtle Center is an amazing stop — not only educational but truly inspiring. The staff is incredible — welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their mission. It’s wonderful to see the dedication that goes into protecting and rehabilitating these beautiful creatures. Thank you for everything you do! If you’re in the area, this is absolutely a must-visit.

This was a really cute facility. There were multiple species of turtles with informational signs. They were not sea turtles, but they were still really fun to look at. The decor felt fun and interesting, the turtles names were painted on little stones. I appreciate the help they provide to local sea turtles and their nesting sites.

The people who run this place are nice and very good at what they do. They run a very good program to help any turtles who need it. It's free but they do accept donations to help the turtle rescue.

Informative and interesting little side stop. It houses several small live turtle and tortoise exhibits out front. Staff are very knowledgeable on turtles as a whole. Worth a stop if your passing through.

Fantastic little place to learn about all kinds of turtles. They didn't have any sea turtles but had lots of other kinds of turtles which were very easy to see. Both of my sons loved it!

Downtown Port St. Joe is very nice and has small town charm coupled with nice restaurants and good shops. It’s also very clean and has public restrooms and stops for visitors. Do recommend!

The food was really awesome. Had the steak sandwich and their salad with Cajun shrimp. The steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Loved the outdoor seating area. Unfortunately, the service was poor. We were promptly seated by the host. It wasn't really busy. Took 15 minutes to be greeted by a server. We had to go find one. Once she put our orders in, the food came out quickly. We didn't see her again until we went hunting for her to pay our check. That part was very disappointing, but I'll be back for that steak sandwich!

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was at Krazyfish Grille! We started with the Jamaican jerk wings and the Goat cheese balls, both were great! The goat cheese balls were exceptionally phenomenal and paired perfectly with the pepper jelly. Our server said the pepper jelly is made in house! For my meal, I had the chicken tenders and fries. My husband also had the chicken tenders but with fried okra instead. The tenders were a great size and very flavorful! The honey mustard wasn’t my favorite but the ranch was delicious! The drinks were also very good and the service was great. We will definitely be back.

Loved loved loved this place. Sat at the outdoor bar and chatted it up with the bartender who used to live in the town over from me in TN. Food was great and atmosphere super fun. Corn hole, electric decor, bright colors, live music. Would definitely eat here again. The grouper sandwich was delicious and the local KrazyFish lager was yummy!

Came in for lunch on a Saturday and was seated right away on a group of 5. Little kids had the 🍔 and chicken fingers. Both were devoured. Big kid gnawed on some coconut shrimp with orange chutney on a bed of spring greens. She had no problem finishing her’s either. My wife and I both had the grouper sandwich which was so fresh we swear it came out out of the water the same morning! Mine was Cajun with a dab o’ tartar sauce on it. Spacious enough. Parking could get tricky. Sit outside under cover and let the sea breeze in your hair (plus the portable fans). Service was never in question with Frankie (just ask for her section and kick back). Ample beer and drink specials. My wife said the Kiss me on the Beach was spot on.

We loved the Krazyfish Grille! We arrived at 8:25 and were concerned about time since they closed at 9pm. The hostess was very kind and seated us swiftly. We sat in the patio area where there were fans blowing to keep customers cooled off. Shout out to our waiter John—he was FABULOUS -super friendly and helpful about the area. The St. Joe Rita was a super tasty margarita! We thoroughly enjoyed our one pound of peel and eat shrimp with gouda grits. We also split the Baja tacos with blackened mahi. Everything was very fresh! Live music will be on the weekend and we may try and come back before we leave town. So glad this was our first stop at Port St. Joe!!

We were on vacation at port st. Joe and was looking for a good place to eat and stumbled on Krazyfish. At first glance it was really busy and appeared to be a bit of a tourist trap. The food was pretty good but overall was just average along with the service. I probably wouldn’t go back in the future. The music was very loud and the porch was insanely hot - it was almost impossible to carry a conversation. The food was reasonably priced though. We got the Baja tacos and shrimp platter. The shrimp platter was good but the tacos were very average. The wait was around 45 mins and it was pretty accurate to what they told it would be.

Mostly outdoor seating. We got there during a shift change, so we had to wait a bit to be helped, but once our server got to us, she was very attentive and friendly. I had a grouper sandwich with fries and rice. The ride didn’t taste like anything, but everything else was tasty. I had a Providenciales rum runner, and my daughter had blueberry lemonade mocktail, and they were excellent.

Whenever in St Joe we stop here and never disappointed. My wife excited about her perfect meal of St Joe plate, terumusu coffee. Mine chopped salad. We love no plastic stuff!

This was my first time visiting Port St. Joe and I was walking downtown and thought I’d give this spot a try. I enjoyed the home feeling of the restaurant with the decorations and build style when I came in , it gave a very welcoming atmosphere! I ordered the Three Cheese Penne and Caesar Salad. Both of those items were delicious! The cheeses this restaurant use are unparalleled! However, I wasn’t fully satisfied with my service. The waiter didn’t come by but only to order the food and around check time. He also wasn’t very friendly as well but more quiet and reserved. I wanted to ask questions but didn’t feel comfortable which I didn’t like. Other than the service improvement, I enjoyed the experience.

Nice restaurant, good ambiance, prime location downtown shopping area, friendly staff, dish has good presentation, but foods need some adjustment! Mussels sauce is very soupy with cold bread not toasty nor crispy. Chimichurri Steak nice tender meat and sauce aromatic homemade lack on spices and meat not warm and potato and onion are too sweet. Steak sandwich came with 2 dips which were watery. All elements are there, but missing a little something.

Great spot for a date night! Had quite a long wait and was seated outside (So it was hot) but that's no fault of the restaurant. The food was great! We enjoyed a Ceasar Salad and bread as an appetizer, my husband tried their St. Joe Mule which was unique and yummy, and we got the Paella and Shrimp Alfredo for our entrees. The food was very good and my husband said the Paella was the best he's had. SO much protein and seafood! Especially for the price.

We've eaten here many times over the years. Our most recent visit was the end of Sept. We noticed they offered a ribeye special. The wife and I decided to have the special without asking the price. The meal arrived with a subprime ribeye steak, delicious new potatoes and spinach. Everything was great except the ribeye, the mediocre steak (think golden corral quality) wasn't what we expected at this restaurant. We had a few drinks, finished our meal and asked for the check from our friendly and funny server. I was shocked to see the special was $45 per meal. This was a $20 meal all day. I'll be sure to ask the price of the special next time. Having said that, we've always had good meals and service here. This occasion was the exception.

Although we’ve only eaten-in once (we usually get to go) it is our favorite restaurant in PSJ and a must every single time we come in for the beach. Favorite dishes are any of the seafood with angel hair, and the spaghetti. I’ve never been excited about spaghetti but that stuff has some kind of magic to it. Just one caveat: stay away from the filet mignon. I’ve ordered it twice and both times it came out the most bland tasteless steak I’ve ever had. Lesson learned! Stick with the seafood and/or spaghetti. Their seafood pasta is so good that even the worst steak in the world—twice—can’t keep me from giving this place its five star due.

The just can't say enough about this restaurant. Loved the atmosphere but loved the food more! We actually came here twice in 2 days and the dishes we had were fresh and full time of flavor. Great service to top it all off!

The Sand Dollar cafe is one of my favorite places to visit whenever we're in town! Delicious food & generous portions. Cafeteria style so it's very quick & efficient. Amazing they've kept their prices so reasonable. It surely came at a cost. But one of their top priorities seems to be kindness & inclusion. You feel welcomed. It feels like a piece of home. $17 fed our family (2 toddlers, 2 adults). The entire staff is so friendly! Honestly, I would pay $17 just to be in the midst of such sweet humans. The food is a bonus! ♥️

Wow! Now that's some down home cooking like my Mama always made. Great Food, Service and yes a very fair price for a fabulous meal. They had a large variety of meats, sides cornbread/roll and drinks ready to make your plate. I will definitely stop on my next trip to the area. Thanks for reminding me how good meals used to be.

The folks here were super friendly and the food was exceptional. My bf got the shrimp and grits and said it was one of the best he's ever had. I don't like shrimp, but I tasted it, and it was delicious. I had the meatloaf and it was also delicious. All of our sides were very good as well. I definitely recommend this place, you'll be glad you came.

I have had the pleasure of visiting the Sand Dollar Cafe each of my three visits to the area over the last few years. Sand Dollar is such a unique place with delicious food, friendly staff, and very interesting decor! It is obvious that the chef puts his heart and soul into the "South in your Mouth" food! My partner and I talked about how it's like the chef is cooking seven (or more!) Thanksgiving meals every day. The owners clearly care about creating delicious food and creating a welcoming, homey atmosphere. I love that the food is ready and hot when you get there, and I also like that they serve it to you so there aren't tons of people serving themselves (like a buffet). This breakfast buffet was DELICIOUS! The special omelet of the day was Spinach and Ham and was top notch. Tomato basil gravy on the biscuit was surprisingly great. My spouse had the cheesy eggs, andouille and biscuit with sausage gravy and loved it! The ONLY downside was that the eating room was air conditioned but the rest of the restaurant was not. The service combined with the food made up for it though. We would definitely eat here again!

Was very surprised how low on price of sunset dolphin cruise. Aquamarine cruises Sept. $35 per person. We'll go back over & over. Nice, clean. Bring your own cooler.

So let me hip you to another place where you can not only relax and enjoy the view, you can also catch a fish or two. Took my granddaughter there to fish for the 1st time, and I practically had to drag her away. I think I've found me a new fishing partner. What a view.

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL MARINA. Our boat broke down and was towed to Point South Marina, we sure got lucky breaking down near this marina. It is a beautiful new marina, amazingly helpful staff, completely safe, very clean grounds as well as clean bathroom/shower, lots of parking, and a fantastic store. Their transient slips are great and super reasonably priced. Looks like a great place to go out fishing as well

The Marina staff is "over the top". They helped us into the slip, check on us later that day. Every morning the staff walks the dock, very friendly. Very protected harbour. Neighbouring boats all are friendly. Would say one of the nicest marinas i have been to in a very long time!

Awesome marina. We came in for fuel this week. Staff on the dock waiting for our arrival. Fast, efficient pumps and great fuel prices! The facility itself is better than I have seen in the Emerald Coast!

The Constitution Convention Museum in Port St. Joe is small, but excellent. The park ranger, Joanna Lindsey was wonderful. She was full of information about the history of the area and she spent quite a bit of time talking with my daughter about everything from the constitution and yellow fever ravaging the town to local ghost stories. My daughter could have listened to her for hours. She clearly has a love for her job. We will definitely visit again when in Port St. Joe.

We love visiting lighthouses and this one did not disappoint! A gift shop and a history lesson on the light house

This was a great experience for my family. The park rangers are very nice and the cost to get in is reasonable.

My friends and I were pleasantly surprised by this state park. The museum was well thought out and informative. The park ranger in charge of taking care of everything was wonderful and shared so many fun and interesting facts with us. She clearly cares about the state park and is doing a great job maintaining it. Definitely worth the visit.

This was one of my favorite places I visited during my trip to Port St. Joe. Who knew that this humble beach town was so rich in history? This museum is very educational and fun. You can even take home a small copy of the Florida constitution.

The park ranger was so funny and informative! The museum had a good set up and showed off a variety of artifacts from Port St Joe. The signs were descriptive. I feel like I left with a better understanding of the history of this town and how it was established.

Great pizza! And service was great. I called. They said it would be ready in 15 and it was. And it was Delicious. My personal favorite proportion of cheese to sauce. Got the primavera and meat one. Ate them too fast to take a pic. Will order the rice balls next time. They looked amazing.

This is one of the few places that is open past 9 pm in Port St. Joe - open til 10 pm. Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere but be aware this is mainly a takeout place so seating is limited if you want to eat in. We had Buffalo wings, bacon ranch pizza, Buffalo chicken pizza and calzone. The food is very good overall. They have 8” and 16” calzones and we ordered a 8”. It was so big that we took it back to our condo and ate it next day for lunch (4 of us) and still had leftover. It is very good though. Only thing is this is a NY style pizza joint so their slice pizza is already cooked and they just reheat them when you order. So, chicken on our Buffalo chicken pizza seemed little dry by the time I got to my slice. Their Buffalo wings are very good and we went back and got them again.

Come for the pizza, stay for the bread pudding. Order ahead if you want whole (New York-style) pies. Sold by the slice pizza and filled rolls are heated in the oven. We had a buffalo chicken, pepperoni, and meat lovers. All were good. Slight downside is the drying of the pizza when heated. If you are into sweets, opt for the bread pudding. Flavors vary. Today we got one of the last salted caramel cheesecake. Which was flavor #105!

Our first time here was OK. The pizza are BIG! so be ready. We ordered most everything on the menu, just to try things out. Our thin crust pizza was Ok, not great. Not sure if it was the extra stuff we added. My pepperoni half was better than the half with extra stuff. Our friends reported the thick crust pizza was pretty tasty. We will try again and see if we get different results. It’s a small place and in PSJ one of the few real pizza joints. In season plan ahead. Great service!

The pizza here was the epitome of what good New York style pizza is! Peter adds his own unique flavor to every slice of pie that they make. I spoke with both Peter and Bob and it’s the kind of hospitality they showed me and my family- that makes you want to come back and visit again and again! Thank you guys for everything- great pizza-great service- a must if your in the Mexico Beach, Port St. Joe Area. You won’t be disappointed whether you order by the slice or by the pie! I’m coming back for the “Cuban” pizza.

Check your ovens, frying oil, or the freezer your chicken is kept in.That stuff in my mother and sisters pastas tasted like the smell of wet paint.Large portions, high prices, bad food. Calzone wasn’t even cooked all the way through. Save your money, if you want pizza get Hungry Howies if you want.

This was our first time here. Place was extremely clean and staff was very friendly. Pizza was excellent and very flavorful.

Delightful Ice Cream Shop in Port St. Joe. We get ice cream several times a month. Sugar Shack had a wide variety of flavors, especially those not commonly found other places. My favorite is Key Lime Pie, it is delicious as a milkshake. They have unique flavors such as: Banana Pudding, Lavender Blueberry, Coffee Pecan Brownie and Honey Infused. We treat our family to ice cream when they come here on vacation. My daughter and son-in-law ordered a Banana Split this past trip, it was impressive. The portions were so generous the two of them shared it and almost couldn't eat it all. Located in the heart of Port St Joe. Art painted walls inside and outside to get those fun photos for lasting memories. Seating inside and a bench in front of the shop to relax and enjoy your treats!

While visiting the little downtown of Port St. Joe, our group wanted to try different spots to eat. We went to Sugar Shack for some ice cream. When we entered the shop, there were no other customers and there were 2 people behind the counter. Neither of them spoke to us as we entered. We walked up to the counter and had to ask if they were ready for us to order. We our group ordered 2 ice cream cones and 2 bourbon pecan ice creams--we requested the smallest size and the response was "it's prepackaged and comes in one size." We were fine with the information, but that was literally the only words from the people who worked there. The ice cream was fine, but given the poor service, we would recommend visiting one of the other establishments for dessert.

The best ice cream shop! The ice cream is so delicious. I recommend the moon rock. The oldies music they play in the shop makes it a comforting atmosphere. Employees are super nice!! Thank you!

I love this place. I'm a caregiver and sometimes my clients want some ice cream. They always want to come here. The staff are young but very sweet and courteous, as busy as the place is it's always clean, and they don't close early like other places around here! They even make their own ice cream, which I did not know 😱 I guess most of the clientele tend to be tourists, but I can attest that I'm a permanent resident , and have never been disappointed. Now if I could just keep from eating their creations every day... LOL

Tina and her team was so incredibly kind and generous - plus the ice cream was spectacular! My family and I simply cannot recommend The Sugar Shack highly enough.

It's been some years since I visited this establishment and even now I still have fond memories of it. It wasn't until I saw a 1 star review about the price I realized I never paid attention to that when my friend and I visited. Personally I feel I paid a fair price to support a local Business and anytime I'm in the area I will definitely make Sugar Shack a mandatory stop. Great ice cream. Lots of homemade flavors that were delicious. Lots of cone options as well. Get the nacho sundae!

The house salsa told us right away that we were going to like this place. Drinks were great, food was fantastic! We'll be back!

Seated fast. They did have a few families that were being served. Salsa is so-so, had the Peppers Fajitas. The Fajitas are not one of those mixes where you pay 20 bucks and get mostly peppers and onions. They bring the meat here, which is good. Although I could definitely say I've had better, I've also had a lot worse. At the price point not bad, good job Peppers. I had a long hair in the second basket of chips they brought. Not super angry about that, I understand that they leave the chips under heat lamps in the back. Things happen. The issue was quickly fixed. Lol, this is a Mexican restaurant but they know how to do French fries very well. Nice portions, probably going to leave with leftovers. Also, note that this restaurant stays open later than most other places in this area. That is one reason I'm giving the overall score 4 stars instead of 3. Past 9 pm even in the on season, most places are closing except some of the ice cream shops.

Food was excellent! We sat at the bar and ordered drinks first. Bartender set us up immediately with chips and salsa. He also made recommendations on food to order. We ordered what he recommended and it was great. He also recommended the house tequila - and I thought it was great and bought a bottle. We will be back for sure.

Pepper’s – Port St. Joe, FL (Panhandle) This is the flagship location of a local Tex-Mex chain that’s been around since 2005, and it delivers exactly the kind of fun, casual atmosphere you want after a day at the beach. The covered outdoor patio is spacious and breezy — ideal for groups, families, and anyone chasing margaritas in flip-flops. One of Pepper’s more unique features is their private-label tequila, imported from NOM 1455 (Fábrica de Tequila El Nacimiento, S.A. de C.V.) in Jalisco. You won’t spot any well-known names on the registry, but the house blanco and reposado are both quite smooth. They’re asking $50 for a bottle of the blanco — that’s a pass from me, but a flight of three pours for $25 is worth it if you’re curious. The añejo, though, is heavy on the vanilla from oak aging — I’d skip it. The complimentary chips and salsa were fresh and plentiful — classic, no-frills style with a mild heat. I had the carne asada street tacos, which were nicely done: soft corn tortillas, tender meat, and a generous topping of chopped cilantro and onion, served with a solid tomatillo salsa on the side. The rice and beans deserve a shout-out too — warm, well-seasoned, and much better than the usual filler you get at places like this. Rachel ordered the taco salad, which is apparently a Pepper’s legend — the WiFi password is literally “tacosalad.” Hers came in a crisp tortilla bowl loaded with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and sour cream — a crunchy, creamy combo that she happily devoured.

Peppers Mexican grill & bar is a very popular place and a place that I've gone to many times, but there's a few things that are disappointing. Believe me, the food has never disappointed me once but the prices and service could be better. What I think is ridiculous is the drink prices. Four dollars seems pricey for a drink that's not water. Even the chicken, cheese, and fries turns out to be 16 to 18 dollars. One thing that really gets on my nerves is the tourists. Not to be a Karen, but they do pick tourists over locals, you can tell because tourists usually wear dressy clothing and not many locals wear flashy clothes unless it's a birthday party. The last thing is the language barrier. When I went to eat there with friends, I saw someone I knew at a table leave without his wallet. Before I could I could say anything one of the waiters took the wallet and when I went to confront him he said, "No English" and walked away. Other than a few misunderstandings and high prices, I say it's a good place to eat out and watch the latest sports if you're a fan.

Glorious delicious queso the best Mexican restaurant in all of the town. This place makes Mexican great again. God bless America and God bless this glorious Mexican food.

seems to be a nice place for locals, but if you're from out of town and staying at the hotel, don't expect to be overwhelmed by friendly attentive bartenders... It was a let down.

Our first time here left with mixed feelings. The concept and the venue are both great. Love the location in the “downtown” area of Port St Joe. The hostess who greeted and seated us was unenthusiastic and almost seemed bothered to show us to our table. She asked if we’d been there before, then handed us menus and briefly mumbled some details about the drink self-service. (Didn’t offer any info about pricing…which isn’t evident anywhere, and didn’t explain where to find the cups for the self-serve beer taps) Our server finally arrived and also had few words, took our order and was never seen again. Another server brought our raw oyster appetizer, then later our meals. Oysters were great, and actually probably the highlight. The meals were tasty but average, at best. Portion sizes were small (my wife had a fish sandwich and the fish didn’t even cover the bun). One of my sides was “steamed broccoli” but is was an unappealing olive color and was very soggy. In summary, would probably still return but only for the raw bar and beers.

One of my dishes was five star and one was one star so I averaged the two. The peel and eat shrimp are superb!! Five stars!! The grilled mahi was as poor as any I’ve had. It was literally two fingers wide and not much longer and cooked way too much! They hid it under the bread to serve it and when I moved the bread I literally couldn’t believe they would send that plate out. We also had raw oysters and they were fine. We spent over $100 with two people just on food so I expected somewhat better as far as the entree. If you go, though, order the peel and eat shrimp!!

We had an amazing time coming here. It originally wasn't even where we intended to go, but, boy we are glad we did. Our server, Heather, was super friendly. She did an amazing job. Very prompt and informative. The oysters were delicious! As was everything else we ordered. We will definitely be coming back here in the future.

We visited Uptown this past weekend for dinner. It was very busy but since we had a party of 2 we were able to sit at the bar fairly quickly. The dining area was not very big, so it was a bit loud inside. We got the surf and turf and the shrimp tacos. The food was delicious and we were highly satisfied with our meals. I would eat here again.

Hostess seating us was super nice and welcoming. Our server was outstanding! The real standout of our meal was the baked oysters. Very very good! Husband’s grouper dinner was just okay. The corn on cob was just prefrozen. The side house salad was fresh and just the right size. The gumbo was a huge disappointment. Supposedly, gumbo was shrimp and okra. But it had been cooked so long, the shrimp and okra were nonexistent. Very thick too and tasteless. Not what I’m accustomed too as the gold standard for gumbo is Pappadeaux in Houston👍🏻❤️. Our server was kind enough to to remove from bill but it was my fault as I didn’t ask enough questions about the consistency. So as an afterthought, I ordered the appetizer grilled shrimp skewer. The shrimp was grilled perfectly. We’d return just have the oysters again.

Family of 5 sat quickly for Monday night dinner. Parking was ample. The space inside is rather small but the location in downtown PSJ is nice if you want to walk off dinner afterwards. Pricing is steep but with the sautéed 🦀 claws and dozen baked 🦪 on board that was to be expected. Those may have been the best of the dinner we had. Kids had the chicken basket, grilled cheese and grouper sandwich. Portions were fine for them as well as on the Mahi sandwich for me. We must admit, the seafood must've come out of the Gulf that day! Drinks are self-serve from a cooler each? Maybe because of the small footprint of the business? Our server Morgan was attentive and we never had to track her down for anything. The 3% convenience fee tacked on for credit card use, I personally hate, just don't take that form of payment. We'd go back to try the other fresh seafood offerings.

We visited Uptown Raw Bar on Saturday night, when we arrived it wasn't very busy, we were sat and waited about 5-10 before we were waited on. The self-service beverage was ok, they did offer a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks. We choose tea with cane sugar and nice surprise. We placed our order and then the placed filled up, the 2 servers were definitely overwhelmed with every table filled within 10 minutes. We received our salads ceaser and a house. Plenty of dressing. Salads were fresh! Then we received our entrees crab stuffed shrimp and Mahi blacked with potatoes and corn. Potatoes were plain tasting but hot, Mahi was ok felt like it was missing something. The Crab stuff shrimp was definitely the star of the show. Highly recommend the shrimp. Overall a nice dinning experience. I know there specialties are the oysters, but neither one of us like oysters.

This particular Piggly Wiggly is in a prime position on the forgotten coast. If vacation here, travel through here, or live here, this is your go-to grocery! The deli is great! The selection is great. In fact, this store has items I couldn't find in my own hometown.

The best Piggly Wiggly I have been to in 25 years. Usually they are of passable quality, but this one was super clean and had tons of very pleasant people working there and a lot of of selection of great foods. Food prices were a little bit higher, but absolutely nothing crazy. Highly recommended.

I just love the Piggly Wiggly for all my shopping needs while on my recent vacation! Myrah was awesome in issuing me a refund on an overcharge of 🍇 grapes. SHE WAS VERY KIND & RESPECTFUL concerning my discrepancy. THANK YOU MISS MYRAH!

The supermarket is nice and offers a wide variety of products. However, the cleanliness of the restrooms, particularly the men's (and possibly the women's), is bad. They were not maintained good, and there was also a concerning amount of rust on the sink.

This was my 1st time going to Piggly Wiggly and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The people were super friendly and very helpful. There's a versatile and unique selection.

We recently catered a wedding for my daughter and her husband from Duren's Piggly Wiggly that we jokingly named Le Porcelet (The Pig in French). We worked with Dominic and he was so kind and helpful and answered all of our questions. We catered everything from the cupcakes and their cookie cake to the meal and it was excellent AND every bit as good, as a much pricier restaurant would have been. The best part is that my daughter and the groom got the foods that they loved and it was hot and fresh and delicious!

While on vacation we shopped at Piggly Wiggly, for breakfast food and other items. It's a very nice store and the workers are very kind.

This might have been the best dinner experience I’ve ever had. From the time I spoke to the hostess and said a party of three until the time we were sat with our drinks AND food literally 12 minutes had passed. Absolutely incredible especially for the fact that it was 6:45pm on a Saturday night in July. Our drinks had tons of ice so they stayed cold, a server was very knowledgeable of the menu and was very timely with refills, to go boxes, and the check. And most importantly the food itself was delicious. The salsa for the chips is very sweet and a solid texture. I would definitely recommend and we will be back!

We've been wanting to eat here and finally made it happen. We were not disappointed! Its dog friendly and there's seating indoors, outside covered and outside uncovered. The staff is amazing and the food was fantastic. Be sure to ask for the hot, hot, hot sauce.😉

Definitely a great place to eat! Indoors or out, their service is spot on. We chose to sit outdoors since it wasn’t too hot yet. Our waiter was extremely nice and friendly. Salsa is fresh and not spicy (thank goodness). Shrimp tacos were yummy, but a little too spicy for me. I traded with my boyfriend, he had combo meat bowl, which was good too. Oh yes, draft beer is cold. 🫶🏻

Cute restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Service was a little slow but not horrible as it was busy. Our server was very nice. Unlimited chips and salsa was awesome and food was good. We would definitely go back.

We tried Quatro Locos Tacos and Cantina on a whim and absolutely loved it. My boyfriend needed to go again before our visit and ended! We got the Baja Fish Tacos and Governor Shrimp Tacos. Both were accompanied by sides of a small salad, rice, and beans. Both plates were delicious - the perfect balance of salty and sweetness, the proteins were cooked to perfection. We couldn’t wait to get back to our place to dig in, had to take a bite in the car! Would 10/10 recommend a visit.

We eat here at least twice a week and love the variety of entree options! This is a family owned restaurant where the staff treats you like you are part of the family! Exceptional customer service, warm & friendly atmosphere and the best authentic Mexican Food I have ever eaten. The cultural influence infused into each dish is a culinary delight. In addition to the vast menu options, they offer a daily special that is always worth trying. It is usually a dish that is labor intensive and can't be added to the regular menu because they are labor intensive. For example, hand made Tamales is one of my favorite daily specials!!! The open kitchen is neat, I love seeing the chef's masterfully preparing our food. The cuisine is authentic, fresh and we always leave with full hearts and full bellies!! The decor and artwork is colorful and fun. Some of my favorites: The Governors Shrimp Taco's! Grilled Shrimp, cheese, bacon, avocado & Chipotle on a corn tortilla. The bacon pairs beautifully and takes this taco to the next level. Street Tacos; Cochinita Tacos Especiales Baja Fish Taco's Cochinita Pibil Seafood Burrito California Burrito Arrachera Chimichangas Shrimp A La Diabla We love to dine on the patio and catch the bay breezes 🐶🐕 Fur babies are invited to the patio!

I hate to leave negative reviews but dang this place missed the mark on nearly every level and left us incredibly disappointed after an almost 3 hour meal. Our waitress was so sweet, very kind and warm, but I think it was over a half hour before we were even able to order food. Probably another hour before we had our food and what we got was honestly… quite awful. Chewy steak and stale tortillas, not hot or even warm. Bland white rice. Everything topped with bagged shredded cheese. It seemed our waitress was doing her absolute best but she was so busy that everything just took forever. She was behind the bar making drinks for quite some time so she was also on bartender duty, maybe just understaffed? There appears to be a decent amount of good restaurants in Port St Joe, I would avoid this one like the plague.

Third time to eat there this week. Yesterday I had the super sonic dawg. I've also had the "The Bob" Reuben, the "Beachcomber" all were great. My son had The French Dip that he said was fantastic. Outside sitting on the shade.

A must visit. The food is incredible and the service is wonderful. When we ordered, they didn’t have bananas for smoothies. We got wraps, sandwiches, and hot dogs. Shortly after, the owner got a smoothie for us on him. Everything was excellent. We will make sure to visit here first when we are in the area again!

Seriously cool little place! The food was delicious. I tried things I wouldn't normally try & they were great. What we appreciated the most was how they worked with us on our daughter's food allergies. They worked with us until we narrowed it down and our daughter loved it. Definitely try out Dagwood's!

What a gem! We loved our sandwiches so much we had to grab more the next day, and took one for the road home at the end of our trip. Everyone was SO friendly, which is a bonus because these eats are so good, I'd visit regardless. We had the Grinder, twice....it is everything you want an Italian sub to taste like at its best. We also had the Irish Cuban, the slaw ads flavor and great texture and the jalapeño spread is just the right spicy. Our daughter enjoyed the BLTA and the shrimp tacos were full of tasty toppings. Love it, Dagwood! We will be back :)

We stopped by to try the delicious sandwiches, and the Dagwood is hands down the best sandwich we’ve had in this area! But what truly blew us away was the dip — absolutely amazing! (I asked for the recipe, but it’s a secret.) We’ll definitely be coming back!

I have tried literally everything on their menu, from the Irish Cuban to the Chicken Thai wrap and it is all quite delicious. However the House Dog is by far the absolute best hotdog I have ever had! Do yourself a favor and stop in as soon as you can!

Excellent sandwich shop!! The Reuben immediately caught my attention on the menu and I ran with it. Best sandwich this month!! Always in search for savory sandwiches, and this place is it!! My husband got the French Dip and said it was really good.

Drove from the beach house on Indian Pass at 7am on a Tuesday in July. I swear I was the first customer. Got four hot coffees and eight or so donuts. Donuts were delicious, coffee was tasty, atmosphere is awesome. You have to put the cream and sugar in your own coffee - I was alone and dining take out and that was inconvenient, so that is my reason for four stars on service. Otherwise five stars all around. Come here for breakfast!

We were on vacation at port st. Joe and were looking for a good place to eat and stumbled across sweet Bunz! It was a neat local donut shop in the downtown area! One tip is to get there as early as possible if you want the best donut selection! We went twice, once at opening and once at 10 and there is a big difference on the donut selection haha. One of my favorites what the death by chocolate donut! I would definitely go back in the future! They had ice cream too but we never tried theirs, just the donuts! Their apple fritter was really good too!

Super delicious!! Employees are friendly and ready to help. We got an assortment of treats to try. One of the favorites was the apple fritter although, everything was phenomenal. Give this place a try if in the area! Totally worth it! Thank you!

Came in for a quick easy breakfast to grab for my family and got an assortment amount of pastries and they were all delicious! Special attention to Long John's, Honey Buns, and their Old Fashion Donut. Super friendly service and a tone of choices for sweets, treats, and savory breakfast pastries.

Excellent assortment of flavors and super easy to place an order the day before to make sure I get enough sprinkled donuts for the kids. My favorite donut is the key lime and the maple bacon. Seasonal pumpkin donut was delectable, too. Just honestly Delicious!

I was in town for a wedding and thought l should see if Port St. Joe had a donut shop. They do and I would highly recommend Sweet Bunz! I walked in and the lady behind the counter was so kind and very helpful. The regular glazed donuts are $1 each, Great Deal and super fresh. My favorite donut was the cinnamon swirl! I wish they took credit cards, because I rarely have cash, so make sure you have cash when you visit. Get there early so you have all the options! They close when they run out. Go support this small local business!

Well, like others, you have to try the apple fritters. You'll definitely want to write home about this. Ice Cream, so-so. Shaved Ice was great. The donuts sell out so get there early and they close on Sunday and Monday.

The Joe is a must-stop if you are in Port St. Joe! Such friendly people and a great vibe! The iced vanilla latte was so good with the perfect amount of sweetness. The London fog was also delicious with the vanilla cold foam! Will definitely be back and highly recommend this place.

We loved coming here for the first time & won't be the last. The owners were kind and helped us to get the perfect drinks. We enjoyed our iced caramel latte, iced mocha, Twix iced coffee, peach refresher, and blue razz refresher. Gotta get a t-shirt when we go back soon. ☕️

This is such a cute coffee shop. I love the atmosphere and the customer service is great. They are quick! I ordered an iced caramel chai latte and it was delicious. I would definitely order it again. I highly recommend this coffee shop if you’re visiting the area.

The staff is so kind, the smoothies are fantastic (we got the appetite killer and cool the burn and it was amazing!!!!) and they are truly dedicated to making their customers lives better. Only visiting for the week - but would recommend to anybody in the area.

We like to try a lot of small coffee shops and these were the best espresso drinks we have had in a long time. Vanilla lattes were delicious. Very friendly staff, great selection of food and sweets. Everything you could ask for in a coffee shop. We will definitely be back.

We ordered coffee, smoothies, and breakfast sandwiches. The smoothie had a blend of fruit with ginger, tumeric, and cinnamon and it was great. The breakfast sandwich was sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was friendly. They have parking in front and a sitting area in the back. I would definitely recommend this place for a snack or for breakfast and coffee.

The staff there is super friendly and informative! They have some toys and coloring pages to entertain kids. They have a wonderful patio to sit at. Lots of information on the wall and even some honey samples! Bathrooms were clean and the lobby was tidy. A great place to stop at the beginning of your trip!

Great job Gulf County Florida! One of the nicest, friendliest tourist welcome centers of all! Plenty of visitors information for all the surrounding areas. Great displays, some hands on and all the local information one could need. Nice inviting, comfortable and cool building with great bay front views from the screened and open decks. Deck furniture arranged just as you would have at home and also a free viewing glass to get closer to those further away sights. The welcome center also has games like cornhole, etc and is within a waterfront public park property shared with the old Cape San Blas lighthouse. Short walking trails, marina and boat ramp all make up this well kept county facility

Friendly staff and tons of information pamphlets and coloring activities for kids. The area is nice too to walk around. Would recommend to visit especially if it’s your first time in the area. They have parking on site and restroom.

Very nice facility. Great amenities, great views. Only down side is they are closed Friday, Saturday AND Sunday. Makes it tough to gain entry. Oh well

Great place to get information about the area. Clean restrooms and relaxing space inside. Outdoor deck is very nice. Fun place to watch the boats, birds and bay. Easy walk to Cape San Blas Lighthouse.

I stopped there Tuesday at 12;45 pm and they were closed for a board meeting. I stopped there Wednesday at 11:45 am. Door was locked. The lady at the light house said they were to be open. I didn’t go back.

Staff was super friendly and gave up some tips for our visit, and they have free samples of the amazing Tupelo Honey!

Overall, the quality of the food and service dos NOT match the price. They have a good variety of appetizers available. We had the friend ravioli and fried dill pickles, which were both ok. The rolls were hard and cold. The main courses come with a salad and two sides. The salad was thoroughly underwhelming. Limp lettuce, a few wontons, and cranberries. Seriously. My main was fried grouper (catch of the day) which was delicious. Tender, flaky, moist, fried perfectly. Each meal in our party was $20+ Our server never refilled our drinks - another server walked by and saw the empty glasses and took care of us. The view is absolutely gorgeous, but we will not waste our money there again.

The food was tasty but the service was sooo slow. The Gouda shrimp and scallop is what I had. We sat for an hour before we ever got our appetizers. Then had to wait for about another 45 minutes until we got outr food besides one person from our party, they had to wait about another 15 minutes. We had a reservation for 8:30 and didn't leave until about 11. Its not the best place to bring children since they will sit there forever. All the kids in each party that was in our seating area could not stay seated because they were so bored.

Wonderful food. My husband had the flounder, I had the shrimp and grits. Nice atmosphere and great views.

So this was our second visit here THIS WEEK. Awesome atmosphere and great food. Also one heck of a view of the bay, we can see where they came up with the name. I would highly recommend if you're down this way. Will be going back to try the gumbo before we leave!

Beautiful little park right on the waters edge with a tennis court playground and walking trail. With the bonus of walking down to a pavilion on the water. Lots of seating and shade clean bathrooms and pet friendly so fun for everyone

The boat ramp stays packed during peak times. Unfortunately the park infrastructure is falling apart. The play ground is rusted and covered in caution tape. Pavilion tables broken. But the tennis courts look newer. Hope they make some investments in more kid focused stuff.

We found this little spot while trying to find somewhere to let the kids stretch their legs and it was beautiful. There is a playground, swings, tennis court. Beach access, boat access, food, desserts and shopping all within a couple of blocks. Nice area to visit.

I usually go here to hangout and have lunch. Beautiful background of the Saint Joe Bay and the county pier, which is under construction. Can't wait until it's completed, stop by and give it a look!

We used the pickleball courts and they were excellent! The play area is really nice as well but my kids are teenagers now so we didnt really use that portion of the park. Public restrooms available and you have some amazing views of the bay!

This is a great little park and better boat ramp. The channel markers need to be updated because there are shallow areas. The fish station is great. Night time lights and grinder for fish parts. I always use this boat ramp. Also a good place to fish or crab if you don't have a boat

I ride through St Joe quite often and the park is a always a favorite stop. It’s peaceful and has a great view of the ocean as well as Cape San Blas

Captain Charlene was absolutely wonderful. She worked us in for a trip last minute when other plans fell through, customized our ride to what we would enjoy, and made sure we stayed safe. We had a storm pop up that was supposed to fizzle back out, but instead, it exploded into a huge storm. She was constantly aware of our surroundings and knew when we had to go back. She got us back before the first raindrop fell on us. I would most definitely recommend using her! I know if we do this again next year, I will be looking for this boat.

Have been coming to CSB for several years and finally got around to exploring the end of the cape. Charlene did an awesome job at making it an unforgettable experience and was very knowledgeable about the local environment/wildlife. Kids had an absolute blast and I highly recommend to anyone wanting a unique/custom experience for their family.

My husband and I were looking for a nice sunset cruise and boy did we find one with Captain Charlene! We took a 2-hour cruise with her and just enjoyed the overall conversation, her marine and boating expertise, and of course the views. Charlene was wonderful and we will definitely cruise with her again on our next visit.

Captain Charlene was amazing! She took great care of us and took us to a great place to do something very special to us I’d give her 100 stars if it was an option!

We saved the best for our last day on vacation! Captain Charlene made it very special for my kids. She is extremely knowledgeable about wildlife and marine animals. The dolphins were extremely active this morning and she got them to play alongside our boat for a long time! If we return to this area in the future like we hope to, we plan to use her again and for a longer charter!

Captain Charlene was amazing! We went fishing and snorkeling on a charter and had a great time. Her knowledge of local marine life is extensive; learning about the Bay Area was half the fun. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to get out on the water for the day!

Saw a pair of dolphins jumping about 20 feet away from me. I set out looking for an inlet, but was a bit overzealous and whizzed by it early on and kept going for about 5 hours until stopping on an undeveloped beach for a break. I was late coming back, but perhaps the girl I rented from gave me a break because of how far I overshot the inlet (she thought it was hilarious.) I much prefer kayaking in the ocean instead of the river. I liked having more freedom.

First time kayak fishing and Brad was great! He made sure the conditions were right for our trip and did everything to give us the best experience possible. He was patient and explained everything thoroughly. It was obvious his goal was that we enjoyed the trip. Great guide and I would highly recommend booking your next (or first) kayak fishing trip with Brad.

I have been kayak fishing 3 times with Brad. He is very professional , knowledgeable, and friendly. He really knows where to find fish to catch. He has everything set up and ready to go when you get there. All you do is show up and have a great time and make some amazing memories. I have seen sharks, stingrays, turtles, and kayaked beside dolphins. I highly recommend kayak fishing port saint joe with Brad and I look forward to many more visits. Don't miss out on the fun!

What a great trip. I had never fished from a kayak, I throughly enjoyed the experience. Brad ; owner/operator of kayak fishing, made me feel very comfortable with the operation of the kayak before we set out on the water. Once the water got deep enough we transitioned to peddle drive and headed to the first fishing spot. We caught red fish and spotted trout during the 4 hour trip. We changed locations and reset ourselves covering a lot of water. At no point did I feel any concern for my ability to control the kayak, cast or fight the fish. Brad supplied all the equipment and made it easy to just show up load your own small cooler and enjoy a few hours on the water fishing. I hope to go again soon.

Had a great time with Brad during scallop season. He was very knowledgeable about the bay and I was so excited afterwards that we got a lot of scallops. We’ve also had the pleasure of paddling around in the bay with Brad for an eco tour. Saw a huge family of dolphins, couple of cow nose rays, blue crabs, nurse sharks and sea horses. Will definitely go back with Brad again in the future.

What a cool experience with Brad! He was full of information. We were blown away by the scallop fishing. We saw starfish, sting rays, shrimp, and more! This a must do. We are coming back with the kids. Thanks Brad!
