My brother and I visited the Millard Fillmore House & Museum on October 12, 2024.
The house and museum are one in the same, hosted in a little house that the 13th president occupied for about four years. Admission is received by calling the Historic Society (check their website), and as far as I could tell, only one tour was offered on Saturdays (at 10 AM). The house is well-stocked with authentic furniture (including both originals and others from the era), and you will hear a lot from the tour guides about Fillmore, his life, and his presidency. Visitors can park on the street (for free) in front of the house.
I enjoyed this tour, as did my brother. Our tour guides, Kathy and Luann, were very knowledgeable, and they were also very impressed by us. They made the tour interactive by asking many questions to our group. While this certainly isn't one of the larger presidential sites (of the houses, I think it's the second-smallest that I've been to, only beaten by Eisenhower's boyhood home), it is certainly a very impressive one. The on-site gift shop doesn't have a large selection, but we liked what we got. If you want to see presidential sites, make sure to stop by this one.
Also, while you need to book your place on the tour in advance, you buy your tickets ($10) on site. While I said you need to wait up to 10 minutes, that's because my brother and I arrived around 9:51. You can't start the tour until the time that was set.
