Lovely peaceful campsite. Basic facilities but terrific surroundings. Wildlife galore, all very tame. Some nice easy walking trails too.
If you just want a grassy area with toilets and creek nearby, then it is 5 stars. There is no power, potable water, RV dump points, BBQs or picnic tables. There are 2 areas separated by a tree trunk across the grass area. There are 2 sets of toilets evenly spaced. There are fire pits, the only place fires are allowed, but there are not many. There are no sites marked so first in best positioned. Half the area is sloping hill. Bring your own wood, it is National Park. There are mobs of kangaroos that roam the area and are quite friendly. Stayed mid December 2024 and the cicadas were LOUD. Ear plugs/protection recommended. A few flying bugs but no mozzies so far. Floods had recently been through so water was brown and flowing pretty hard.
Absolutely beautiful, clean and mostly quiet camping area. The amenities are very clean and the whole campsite is very well maintained. There are no showers or drinking water so make sure to pack your own.
Great place to chill. Swimming hole is not like it was 30 years ago and I don’t think anyone would swim there now. Clean toilets. No showers. Large grassed areas.
Such a great campground. Being Easter long weekend it was full but still had room to move around. Would be lovely and peaceful during off-peak periods. Lots of wildlife including monitors, roos, birds..... Yabba ck track was a good short walk. Eugenia track was also good but very overgrown in sections (well worth it though) Another track was inaccessible due to the suspension bridge being washed away so it has been left unmaintained. The creek was high and flowing with lots of people going in for a dip. The toilets were ok but soap dispenser was empty after the first day (we just took our own up) and toilets weren't cleaned but we were happy to have flushing toilets😊 The small town of Jimna is just down the road and there are plenty of driving tracks to explore. Overall we had a fantastic time
Another amazing campground inland. Extremely easily accessible, we drove a 2WD, only the last 4km are unpaved but still suitable for any conventional vehicle. There is a huge amount of slots to choose for camping, with a total capacity of 300 people. It is best to come off-peak days, gets packed over the holidays and in the weekends. There are fire pits dotting the area. Plenty of interesting wildlife: families of kangaroos roaming around the camping, wallabies, bandicoots, goannas and birds of any sort. Platypuses live in the creek but you have to be lucky and patient enough to spot one. Clean toilet facilities and water taps everywhere within the campground, make it a very easily accessible campsite, where you can park your car just beside your tent and enjoy this beautiful place.
Absolutely gorgeous camp grounds. The facilities were extremely well maintained, stocked with soap, toilet paper and very clean. The fire pits provided were awesome. And the surrounding scenery and bush walks were beautiful and very enjoyable. Lots of Aussie animals to spot too. The mob of kangaroos were also great hosts! 10/10
We went the first weekend of September holidays dreading how busy it would be, but there were much less people there than we expected! it is a big space with trees throughout to break up the sites. We were able to get a site tucked away a bit. 3 toilet blocks and great walks surround the camping area. We did the 3.5 circuit with the kids. Lots of kangaroos, goannas, possums, saw a couple regent bower birds as well which was a treat!
