The amount of exotic birds they have on the property is unbelievable — everything from small tropical birds, stunning parrots in every color, and huge, breathtaking species I’ve never seen up close before. One of my favorite parts was the peacocks roaming freely all over the grounds — they walk right past you like they own the place and it makes the whole visit feel magical and tropical. We also saw tons of iguanas (big and small) wandering around which added to the adventure feel. I highly recommend taking the tram ride as well — it lasts about 20–25 minutes and gives you a full tour around the entire property. It even takes you to a butterfly enclosed area with cactus and other unique plants which was a really beautiful side stop. But the highlight for us were definitely the birds — the many bird habitats, the pelicans hanging out near their little water park, and especially the flamingo lagoon. There are over 40 flamingos all together, and you can feed them right out of your hand! That alone made the visit unforgettable. They have restrooms onsite, souvenir shops, and even a food truck outside for snacks and drinks which makes it easy to spend a good amount of time there without rushing. Overall, this is a very peaceful, family-friendly, unique experience and I’d highly recommend Flamingo Gardens for anyone visiting Miami. A solid 4 stars — an amazing bucket list stop filled with nature, color, and unforgettable moments.

The gardens are gorgeous with so many different plants, flowers, and trees that it feels like you are walking through a tropical paradise. The animals are amazing too. The flamingos were so fun to watch, and I loved seeing the peacocks wandering around. The staff and volunteers were friendly and clearly care about the animals and the gardens. The tram tour was a nice bonus and a relaxing way to learn more about the history and plants. You can tell they put a lot of effort into keeping everything clean and well cared for. They were excited from beginning to end. They were overjoyed to build a circus shadow puppet with special guest artist, David Goboff! I even made one!! The cost was very reasonable; $10. I recommended looking on site to see if any special event or guest because that will be included in fee. I love this museum and it’s set up accommodate kids of all ages!!!

Kris was such a pleasant person and made the process very simple. She's very personable and extremely helpful before, during, and after your event. There is tons of parking which is a major plus. THe admission price is OUTRAGEOUSLY low, ten bucks a pop, you really CAN'T beat that price. I started in the school and despite the slightly cramped quarters it's very well kept and clean, easy to walk through (especially if you are along) and every little part of the exhibits given were just great to browse, read about and just look at! Outside of the school itself are three houses, a pioneer one and two old private houses moved to the property. Like the school, both houses are well kept and just fun to walk through and look at everything inside. I went alone into the school but my guide for the two houses was a fun, vibrant, energetic woman who I honestly wish I could have tipped. This little spot kinda makes me thing of a reason why I love the USA; even a small town/city like Davie has its own personal history and THAT is worth something in its own right. I went to walk the small trail. Unfortunately had to cut my walk short due to an idiot cyclist going full speed and hitting my arm a camera. Lots of bruises but that's all. As I was leaving watched two more cyclist pedaling full speed down the paved trail. I wouldn't recommend it for the casual walker as too many of the locals trying to prove their athletic prowess in a 3 ft wide paved trail.

I did go once to a wedding at their cabin. The trails were perfect and well kept. Loved the board walk, some with rails others without. I loved the swampy areas. The manatee overlook is still under construction and I would really like to go back once it’s complete. I did all of the trails and it took about one hour. Incredible experience at the movies today. This was our first time visiting Paragon Theaters in Davie, Fl. First, you must know that you buy tickets through an automated box machine. There is no attendant. Second, Tuesday entrances are $5 only. Luckily the guy next to us helped us by explaining the difference in seats: Lux Box and regular. The lux seats are a little more money but it is two seats together with individual tables and partitions. The other seats are fabulous as well but for our first experience and given the reasonable price, we wanted the first class experience. I only have 2 "complaints" and for 99% of people would be non-issues. First is that there is no actual "Dine-in" menu. It's the exact same items you get at the concession stand. Although I would definitely agree with previous reviews that the pizza is better than other theaters usually at other dine in theaters there is a higher level of food. Second issue, and this is a deal breaker for me personally, is that they only have 2 sugar free options, Diet Pepsi and Aquafina. I hate Pepsi and Aquafina always tastes like burnt plastic to me. If they ever switch to Coke I would 100% make this my go-to theater.

It made the carrot last longer and allow me to not give too much per animal especially since carrots are too sugary for them. And if you’re too scared to get your hands too close to the animal, the long shreds helps you be at a far enough distance. The 4-legged animals (horses, goats, bull) were very gentle, especially their biggest horse, and they would use their lips to grab it off my hand or lick it off. The staff was nice. I was a bit off guard because at one point they shouted at their prized draft horse that was laying down to get up, but they explained that laying down could ruin the harness. I went on a Saturday afternoon, so there were a couple other people present, so it was possible that it’s also due to making sure the horse was easily viewable for the visitors.
