We picked a day to drive to FLL without realizing it was closed. We made the trek again and boy are we glad we did. We went for lunch with a mission of having the Peking duck. We started with classic apps of mixed soup, egg rolls, ribs, and pork dumplings. The soup was a rich broth with light wontons, extremely flavorful. Eggs rolls were classic and served hot and crisp without heavy oil, filled with crunchy cabbage mix and pork. The lightly fried pork dumplings had a light thinner textured wrap, shying away from a thick outer side. And the ribs were fantastically flavored with a beautiful glaze, plentiful, and cooked to perfection. The grand finale of the Peking duck was everything we had hoped for. For 2, we ordered the half duck which had a beautifully colored crisp skin with a moist flavorful meat to place in the accompanying wraps with a side of slivered scallions and hoisin. Well the white rice was ok no flavor at all and unfortunately the shrimp also didn’t have any flavor the hawaiian shrimp used to be creamy and sweet now it literally was shrimp with cream like the can of cream was just thrown on the shrimp, seriously very disappointed I would have been fine w the white rice but being that my dish was just shrimp w cream my whole meal had no flavor. Bring the old chef back.

Ordered the spare ribs appetizer, the pork chow mein and schezwan chicken. The fried noodles with sweet & sour sauce and hot mustard that were provided, were very good. The wonton soup and vegetable spring rolls were both quite nice as well. The spare ribs tasted good, but were just not the least bit tender, almost too tough to eat. The entrées were lacking taste. Maybe its what we ordered, but they really were a disappointment. In my opinion, if you don't do the simple things right, risking something more than that is not worth it. All the food was served piping hot, which was very nice. Service was attentive and very good and the facility is very nice. There is a bar available with cocktails and mock tails.

The place is busy but cater for certsinly a lower class of tastebuds. The atmosphere is ok the tables are diner style but the food is tasteless.from the soup who is a chicken cube soup with a lot of nobles and squares. Of chicken from an already cut cubes .the broth is terrible . The dumplings are also either no taste and will require loads of soya to make them eatable. The salmon poke is also tasteless. They were playing Spanish music and the service is very basic you sit and they bring it to you. The chineese food stands in many shopping moles food quarters are way better. It is the destination that I will never go to again sadly .

Their white rice was so fluffy and their stir fry veggies had great texture and seasoned well. For entrees we ordered orange tofu, Mongolian beef, orange chicken all come with rice. I also ordered a side of stair friend veggies that were super delicious. Overall recommend. I have no problem to pay a lot for quality food and good portions but in Kanton Kanton the portion is medium , the flavor is horrible and the quality is none existent. I dread trying new Chinese places in South Florida to be honest because I have tried numerous ones without liking any of them. However, this place surprised me. Also ordered some egg rolls and hot and sour soup. First off, the egg rolls are amazing, some of the best egg rolls I've ever had from a non high end restaurant. Big, lots of filling, delicious, perfect wrap. I would go again just for the egg rolls and now I'm curious what their dumplings are like. The Hunan dish, good. Hunan is supposed to be spicy, this wasn't spicy. But the flavor was solid, the beef wasn't fatty like many Chinese places serve, and the chicken/shrimp were also good quality. Loads of different veggies too. Now, I will knock them on one thing - the steamed rice. It almost ruined my dish, that's how bad it was. Mushy, nasty, watery mess. I tried some of the Hunan dish with the rice at first and ended up throwing it away. That's how bad it was. I ate the rest of my dish without rice, which was still super filling with all the veggies and proteins. Whatever rice cooker is being used for the steamed rice should be tossed and if it's a person to blame, they should be lashed. It's horrible. However, I'm not gonna knock them down a star because steamed rice really isn't a big deal to me. It's a free side. Upgrade to fried rice, trust me.
