From maritime paintings to Samurai artifacts, this museum had everything. I was fortunate to benefit from free admission for their free first Saturday program (check it out!) My husband really enjoyed an exhibit of oil color paintings of springs, some of them local to our central Florida area. I loved the Japanese Samurai artifacts and the African artifacts. Lots of sculpture and artifacts peppered throughout were in addition to the abundant and thought-provoking wall art. The layout of the museum was organized and gentle, with a staircase or elevator as necessary to the 2nd floor, also full of art. The center had a lovely garden with fountain and protective lion statues. The building and property made a lovely home for the treasures inside. But it turned out to be a major disappointment. The food was so so salty and it grossed me out quickly. They put a window around the kitchen so you can see how meat is roasted and what condiments they use and put on it. And they are very “generous” with the amount of salt used on the food. Decided to stop in to have some oysters. They were very fresh and delicious. We also decided to try their pressed Italian which is one of the best we have ever had. I had read in past reviews how they were good, so I tried them. They were not cheap at $15. But not overly expensive either. But here’s the problem. They sucked. They had no flavor what so ever. They were kind of dry and there was no flavor. I’m not sure if the grease they fry them in, does this. But even the sauce had no flavor. Thank god for blue cheese, to give them any flavor. I even asked for more sauce incase they forgot to apply it. I poured sauce all over the wings, but no change. I ate about half of them and had had enough. Absolutely terrible. Ironically, the guy sitting at the next table overheard me ordering more sauce and commented on how he also ordered wings and how bad his were as well. So it wasn’t just me. I didn’t even take the rest home, as they would not be eaten. I gave Charlie Horse a three star rating, because the wife had food was just okay. But I didn’t find anything about Charlie Horse appealing enough to make me want to go back. I guess if maybe I just wanted a beer, since it is a bar. But I found nothing appealing about Charlie Horse to give them a second try.

I had avocado toast with a side of bacon. 15 mins later our food came out, my granddaughter food didn’t look too bad, but my avocado looked absolutely disgusting, the avocado was bad and they tried to hide the rotten avocado with seasoning on top. I looked an around for my waitress and I did not see her anywhere. So after about another 15 minutes, my waitress came to the table and asked If I wanted a box because she noticed that I did not touch my food. I showed her my toast and how disgusting the avocado look, she stood there and just look like nothing seem wrong to her, at this point I asked for the manager Again. But overall this place is great, the people that work here are nice, the theatre does a lot of little things that are nice (they setup a whole wicked backdrop for kids to take pictures with when the movie first came out), they make a show of the bigger movies, it’s just good.

Special thanks to the fella I forgot the name of who does the Warmachine/Warmahordes games. He was polite, professional, and patient! The game has a lot of rules so I had many questions and I had to redo a bit of stuff but he never showed any attitude! Good stuff! Also, the rack with free games for all to play had like 6 feet by 4feet by 3 feet volume of assorted board games to play! Plus it wasn't the generic stuff either. There was snacks available but I didn't buy anything. But a note on what I did buy. The brown grab bags for the trading card games have chance to have a ticket for a prize? Didn't get one for my purchase but I got a chunk of stuff for some casual magic with the sibling. The MTG grab bag had stuff from 2000(Like Odyessy?) to 2025(The recent Tarkir?). There was a card from the first Ravinca block and the second Ravinca block which made me smile. There's a corkboard for LFG, mini painters and some other stuff advertised. Lastly, the location did not have that musky cardboard mixed with body odor smell that some game stores have. I don't know what the deal with that is, but this place smelled good and thankfully didn't have it. I am not local but I would definitely visit again if I am at Ocala!

The house never panned out. 2 months later in December my mother-in-law met up with an old friend and found out that he was widowed too. They started talking and 6 months later, they bought a house in Stone Creek with plans to wed at the Reunion facility in a few weeks. Lovely place with good food and friendly staff. My brother used to work here to. We often come during the karaoke nights. The corse is hard but fun. My dad had a Christmas party for his business, it was vary enjoyable. I always look forward to coming. My mom also uses the exercise room and comes home from a good workout. Periodically I’ll use it and my brothers. Me my brother and dad all golf here. My dad golfs so much here and always enjoys it. When holidays come they have special events in the restaurant and other events. I went there on Easter and ate a lot of food. A waitress that works there always knows what me and my brother want for food. Overall amazing place!
