As hazards beach can only be reached by boat or a 5+km walk from the car park it doesn’t get to crowded. The direct walk to the beach from the car park is around a headland offering lovely views the whole way, the is walk is exposed so don’t forget the hat and sunscreen. It also somewhat up and down and not that well formed in places, but generally an easy walk. Rather than walking in and out the same way I would combine it with the wine glass bay and lookout walks, the total round trip is around 11 or so km. I’d recommend doing the lookout first to get the really steep bit out of the way, than look forward to that beautiful refreshing swim at hazards beach.

From the car park it is a short 5-10 minute steady paced walk, with few stairs/hills. So I wouldn’t recommend for anyone with major mobility issues and is not wheelchair friendly. The was is easy going, I was able to walk it with sandals. When you get to sleepy bay it opens out below the mountain and into a gorgeous small bay. No sand just rocks, beautiful photos and relaxing area to have a picnic or just look around. If you’re daring and careful enough you can climb around the rocks to your right, just be sure to be safe and not go to far - watch kids closely. Highly recommend and doesn’t take more than 20-30 mins out of your trip back down to Coles bay or up the the lighthouse

The beach itself is stunning with bright white sand and clear, shallow turquoise water. We stayed here on our 2nd night in the area. So refreshing to swim after some hard days hiking! The camp site has 2 modern long drop toilets. At the time of writing there is no water tank and nearby creeks were dry. The camp spots are nicely spread out and tucked away such that each site has some surrounding shrubs giving privacy. Take care to store your food with you inside your tent. The campsite is home to several wallabies but also very cheeky possums that will unzip your bags! Heard and saw one trying to rummage in my pack during the night (luckily we woke up and caught him in the act). Walked the camp the next morning and noticed a nearby camp had been raided. The terrain is very rocky and uneven so you need reasonably fitness, balance and a bit of a head for heights at some points. I would also really recommend shoes with good grip.
