The only downside was we opted for a day excursion to North Seymour on their yacht and it was not really worth the money. They marketed the experience very well but it didn't really live up to the expectations that their marketing promises and especially at the price point. The guides and yacht crew were all excellent but it was just a very run of the mill experience. We would have preferred to stay on property and would likely have not booked that excursion had we known what it was. If we are back in the Galapagos we would definitely stay here again.

First of all the negative: We had a standard room which was pretty small more like a motel room. The bathroom was fine but it had a strange set up with the cupboard storage in there. The positives: The staff were fabulous, friendly and willing to go out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as it was. The location is great, just far enough away from the local town/port to feel secluded, but close enough that you can go in to visit in just a few minutes. The vibe is chilled, comfortable, and relaxed. The a la carte menu has plenty of choice, always loads of seafood, and high quality. The pool, lounge area, and bar - all stylish, comfortable, and welcoming. The yacht trips were well organised and allowed us to visit some great locations with knowledgable quides. Best to know that for most day trips on the yacht there's a 45 coach minute trip to and from the mooring. Thoroughly recommend this hotel but get a premium/larger room if possible.

Hotel Cucuve should be THE standard for all the other "boutique" hotels within the park. The room + the price point actually matched and we were super impressed with the comfort of the rooms as well as the layouts. Everything about the rooms (we stayed in two due to having to extend a day) was well thought out and delivered excellence. The staff, over the top, they helped us coordinate taxi to Baltra, diving, and land based tours on Santa Cruz. They also had some insight on other islands and stuff do there as well. Not to mention, the breakfast + to-go breakfast pack for early tours/ferries was a huge hit. Truly made our trip that much more enjoyable. Thank you.

Del Lago room is the best choice of all I think,if you still want to stay here. The street in front the house feels like a main road, very loud and noisy from 5:30 am on, hard to find good sleep. In the pictures you see a delicious breakfast but there is no breakfast neither included nor available. The host was seen at our first day for 5 min, not very helpful and friendly. Not any kind of hospitality we got to experience in other places. There was no introduction of the place and the possible activities as we knew it from other hotels. Elena was a fantastic host who helped with bookings and advice on a land based week in the Galapagos. We booked the Del Lago Suite and were very pleased with it. Hot Water, Clena towels and comfortable beds. Kitchen was adequate for Breakfast, snacks and cold beers, after all, who wants to cook a meal when you can get 2 courses for $5 within 300m. Plenty of Drinking water available from dispenser on our terrace.Great location, close to bus/tour stops. There is a cafe as part of the building but Elena is looking for a new tenent to take that on. So no Breakfast onsite. There were no issues with bugs as mentioned by a previous reviewer. The lagoon is not as nice as the photos as it hasn't been maintained by the National Park for a couple of years, but don't let that put you off, great place to stay.

The rooms are basic with a small bathroom. Cleanliness is just okay. Being in the tropics you might have a few bugs here and there and generally the quality control and cleanliness is not very high here. I was majorly disappointed in the breakfast though. Online i had read that it's pretty good but when we there, there were a bunch of issues: we are vegetarians that don't eat eggs. The only options we had were very basic, low quality toast bread with a tiny hint of butter that was not nearly enough for four pieces of toast, some jam along with a bowl of packaged yogurt and six tiny pieces of fruit. Being on a tropical island I was hoping at least the fruit would be tropical but no - we got slices of cantaloupe, pineapple and bananas (2 tiny slices each). The service was pretty lackluster too. Tables weren't clean. When coffee cups were out, we had to remind them to get new ones and generally they were not very attentive. The location is pretty convenient. It's a short walk to the Main Street where all the shops and restaurants are.

They are charging outrageous prices when I was the only guest there, after having a terrible trip traveling alone through Ecuador they refused even to upgrade me to a nicer room when the whole place was empty.
