But we found out that the kitchen was slow and it took about 30 minutes or so for our food to arrive. Beer was cold and a decent selection. My dad and brothers pulled pork sandwich looked amazing (cannot have any of the food that is cooked over the Pecan wood grill). I had to order the fettuccine alfredo which to my suprise came with a lot of fresh vegetables, was tasty with a light alfredo sauce. The reason for the four stars for the food was the portion size was kind of small for a pasta dish and that almost everything is cooked over the Pecan wood. Really there are better choices of hard wood that could be used.... Please also hire some more kitchen staff to get food out quicker too.

They have lots of yummy, healthy options and can do dairy free, gluten free, and vegetarian. However, this week we hit them on an off day. We got there around 4:45pm, and there were only two other customers in the place. I ordered the chicken sandwich but they were out of gluten free buns, so they said they would lettuce wrap it instead. The first picture is the lettuce "wrap." Basically it was some lettuce piled on top. If I had known that, I would have ordered the salad with chicken. My husband ordered the beef brisket sandwich. The beef was dry and tough. We visited on a Friday around noon; the line was out the door, but moved quickly. Food is ordered at the counter then brought to your table. We waited around 30 minutes for our food. The food was fresh. The presentation mouthwatering. Which is why I wanted to love this meal--after all, they advertise how most of their food is locally sourced and organic--but I found something missing in both the Indian and Southerwestern bowls. It's like they couldn't decide whether they wanted to be salads or grain bowls and in trying to do both, miss the mark. On their own, each ingredient in the bowls is good, but they don't mix well. I found the sauce pairings strange, too. A dill sauce to go with the curry that tasted like it belonged on a falafel. And the pumpkin pesto aioli on the Southwestern bowl would have been better suited as a spread on a sandwich. Don't let that harsh take deter you from trying something else on the menu though. If nothing else, the cozy patio is enough to entice me back to try something else. It's a great spot for kids too since there is a boccee ball game in the patio area.

I have a meat allergy and ordered a seemingly vegetarian option only for it to come out with sausage in it. No where on the item description does it say there is sausage. When I brought it up to the manager she denied there was sausage in it!! Not that the kitchen had made a mistake or I misunderstood the menu, but that there was no sausage in the dish. Don’t waste your money on these people, plenty of other options that won’t make you sick!!!!

I have been local for 10 years and will not come back here, if your gonna drop 15+ on a breakfast plate go to Jan’s and get you Something that’s more worth it or any coffee shop or food truck. I ended up getting a Swiss and mushroom melt that was phenomenal; the mushrooms were freshly sautéed and the bread had a nice crunchy crust. Tried one of their seasonal beers, Flow State, and while I'm not a huge beer drinker I did still really like it. I also love their little cube system! You have a cube on your table that you flip to green when you want wait service or have a question for your server. We decided to stay and just sit outside even though it’s 85 degrees because it had a breeze and was able to sit in the shade which was better than inside. Also just was hangry and wanted to get eating over with and didn’t want to keep looking even though we hated the vibe and everything about the place, sounds stupid I know but when you’re already hangry and pissed about being in a dump nothing helps. So We ordered veggie burrito and fajitas, the portions were big, the burrito was nothing thrilling, filled with frozen veggie mix, the black beans were dry as hell. My husband also didn’t like his fajitas either, I took a few bites and gave up, I’d rather not eat than eat that. We hated to give them any of our hard earned money. But we paid for our meal and got the hell out of there. I would NEVER go there again or recommend it to anyone.

Definitely at this point annoyed as I brought people in cause I always brag about the food. Get the check, put my card in… and away they went to run my card… here’s where things turned… After the already poor service, ran my card for someone else’s check… now I’m irritated cause the response I got was by a waitress that said “oh well, sorry can’t you see we’re busy” when I finally said something about all the mistakes, she says “no wonder why no one wanted to serve us” And snatched the check and card to attempt to refund and ran my card again for the new amount. I asked to speak to the manager, she said he’s right there. Manager didn’t bother coming over, so I approached him “Miguel” told him I’m pretty heated on the service that was provided. His response was I’m sorry we are busy. Poor excuse, I understand mistakes happen but common. Then you have the local town drunk chime in. No other response by the manager other than asking if I got refunded for the one charge, I said no he said it might take a day Now I have two charges with someone else’s bill and mine. We reserved high country bbq for our wedding, food for 165 for my ranch wedding. We visited the shop 12 months before our wedding to taste the food and put down a 50% deposit. Everything was going well and I was checking in leading up to the wedding. The month before our wedding I was inquiring about finally details and he started acting very sketchy . I began to call and text several times a day because I got concerned. Finally seven days before our wedding he said he could not cater our wedding, leaving us absolutely scrambling to find food for a large wedding in a small town. We were able to find catering thankfully (huge shoutout to Stuboys bbq out of Littleton who I cannot recommend highly enough). Regardless, we told John we would be needing our deposit back. He would reply occasionally with various excuses, saying he would mail a check, pay in installments, but we got nothing. Finally he stopped replying all together. So to this day we have not recieved the thousands of dollars we are owed, an apology for leaving us scrambling or anything. But he has his read receipts on… so we know he’s seen our messages.

Who would think that a restaurant could serve such an eclectic menu and do all the dishes so well. We decided to order the Mango Tango roll and then try the Arroz Chaufa a peruvian rice dish with chicken. The sushi roll was very flavorful and skillfully prepared. The combination of of crab, mango and avocado make a delicious treat. The Peruvian Rice was very tasty but it would be hard to distinguish it from a Chinese fried rice. I looked up the recipe when I got back to my room, and that is exactly how it is made in Peru. It was very tasty, the chicken was tender and I cleaned the plate. On the service, our waitress was inefficient and not that strong. There was a lot of room for improvement but I am going to hope that this is a single person issue as I saw everyone else in the restaurant working very hard. The atmosphere is casual and cozy. We sat in the sushi bar side of the restaurant and it had a comfortable environment. For a spot right off the highway in Buena Vista, I could eat here many times working through the menu.
