So I understand the dumb crap that customers do. However today we came in for breakfast like we do all the time. When we first came in our server was very nice and polite. Promptly got our drinks, took our order, and our food came out hot, fresh, and quick. My fiance went to put pepper on the eggs, which is in a grinder. He literally twisted it twice and the top popped off. Obviously it was broken before he used it. Our server came back over to bring our extra butter that i asked for, and was surprised about the mess of pepper all over his plate and the table. My fiancé was really cool about it he just wanted a clean plate and was going to transfer it over. Our server took his plate back to the kitchen for him and asked if they could remake it which was really nice of her. However, the whole time they were remaking it they proceeded to call my fiance stupid, and talk crap the whole time. The wait staff and kitchen staff was very rude. Now I know they are going to talk trash about stuff like that, but you probably shouldn't do it loud enough where we can hear you as we were sitting right in front of the kitchen. The server brought his food back and asked my fiance if he knew how to use the pepper now. She never checked back on us, and when she brought the check out she slammed it down on the table. Needless to say it really upset us, and we are beyond patient with food service employees. Do better!!!

Around the corner by the Drive Thru, you’ll find additional seating. Seven tables with fourteen chairs. The highlight of the patio that I really like is the three tables against the building, look like they’re in their own cubbyholes with mini covered awnings. Once you step inside, you’ll feel the modern renovations. Immediately to your right, you’ll see a large leather bench against large panels of windows. The bench has plenty of plugs and USB ports for the seven tables along the length of the bench. In the middle of the room you’ll also see six additional tables with twelve chairs. This is the first location for me to see all black chairs. That’s certainly a nice touch and makes this location stand out. The Order and Pick-Up counters look clean. If you’re traveling through or live in the area, either way, you’ll enjoy your experience. This is ideal space for students or remote workers. The cafe claims to be the longest in years of operation. Not sure if that is true but it certainly was far and above on the quality of food and service that one typically gets at a cafe. It is housed in an old brick building on Sam Houston Avenue across from the Walker County Courthouse. I was there with a group of friends and we had been exploring Huntsville all morning and worked up quite an appetite. As we entered we were greeted by a server who quickly seated us. The decor inside is quite modern, very clean and bright in appearance. They have a semi open kitchen at one end and their museum is in an adjoining room. Drinks were ordered and then we all ordered our lunch entrees. We were pleasantly surprised when they came out, the servings were very generous without being overpowering and nicely plated. Two in our party ordered hamburgers with French fries which looked and tasted lovely from what they said. Two of us had the Crab Cakes which were very good, 3 in heart shapes on each plate with a nice remoulade and corn/black bean salsa. One member of our group had a salad. After lunch we walked through the museum which has lovely lighting and display cases. It's an odd mix of artifacts but after touring the HEARTS Veterans Museum as well as the Prison Museum we enjoyed the difference in items displayed. And even the restrooms were spotless! I saw where a previous review claimed it was too expensive but we would disagree. You get what you pay for and we got great food and lovely service. If you want cheap, go to an average chain restaurant. People forget that since Covid, the price of ingredients is way up as well as employee salaries, rent and insurance. The SOS steak and gravy honor, best biscuits and gravy I've ever had. The French toast and blueberry sausage, you read that right, blueberry sausage, was amazing! Can not say enough about this place. Can't wait to stop back in and try the lunch menu. The place is very clean and filled with awesome military history. From the time I walked in and was greeted by the very friendly staff to the time I walked out with my order, I didn't feel one bit discriminated, didn't get any rude service, and felt like family.
