I typically don’t order steaks at restaurants, I tend to enjoy making them myself more, but such an audacious claim had to be verified. In went an order for a 14oz NY strip and out came a thick-cut sizzling behemoth. Lots of different rooms. The parking lot was packed when we got there, but that is to be expected during tourist season. I ordered some soup, stuffed mushrooms, and a yellow fin tuna on pasta. The salad was good and I enjoyed their salad dressing. The breadsticks were ice cold, which was super disappointing and we only got 2 for between the two of us. The mushrooms were amazing, soaked in butter. The soup was also great. Though the yellow fin tuna was super dry and had less seasoning than your white 80 year old grandma would use. Our server was great, kept refills coming and made sure we were taken care of. I think it was just busy in the kitchen which is why the food wasnt the best for the main dish, but everything else was great. During tourist season, I'd suggest simpler dishes and starters for sure.

Enjoyed the likes of their 10” meat lover pizza and garlic Parmesan chicken tender basket. I got the seafood trio marinara pictured below. Asked if they would please swap sauce to white wine garlic and they kindly did so. When the food arrived, I was completely blown away. Plate was packed with mussels, shrimp and calamari. Everything was so wonderfully prepared. Nothing was tough or mealy which can often happen with shellfish. Everything was tender and flavorful. It's quite obvious these folks care about their food. Serious skill on display here. Prices were very fair. Nothing that breaks the bank. Decor was nice and inviting. Restaurant was tidy as well. When you walk through the door you are hit with the smell of garlic and spice. It's quite comforting and makes you excited to be there. Service was excellent. Everything showed up at the right time. We never felt rushed. Server provided recommendations and was on the spot for refills and to clear plates so table never felt crowded. They have a lot of TVs, the food is good and the bartenders we’ve had were wonderful. However we will not be back. We went in to watch some football this past Sunday, and while we were enjoying the food, this animated woman came in, talking loudly and showing her phone to the bartenders. She happened to be standing under the TV that had the game we were watching, and she proceeded to be rude to me because, I guess, she thought I had an interest in her dramatic conversation, while all I was doing was watching the game. At one point she even yelled across the bar. As we left we let the one bartender know what happened, who apologized profusely, and we found out the woman actually works there. We cannot get past the fact that an employee of an establishment is being rude to customers that are there doing exactly what they were meant to do – eat, drink and watch football. So we will not return because I have no desire to be harassed by some employee with a main character syndrome 20 years younger than me, and if it were to happen again I will not be as nice and courteous. The bartenders were top notch, the philly cheesesteak was the best I have ever had and about the 4th quarter the owner showed up in his Cowboys jersey and he made the day as he on a commercial break played the Steelers fight song and Renegade. It's all a bit chaotic. The pictures need to be updated for sure to match what is actually on site. The indoor pool itself needs updated, the arcade as well. The pictures do match what is provided. The suite my family stayed in dated as well. I informed the resort that the handle on one of the toilets is barely hanging on. The window in the kitchen is so lose I was fearful that anyone could just climb through. Our last night as well a roach appeared from under the stove due to us cooking and when I informed the desk she didn't show any empathy, just that it was a Palmetto bug - when you research this bug it's a cockroach. My family feared we may have brought something back with us because of this. The need to update signs is crucial as well. I understand it rains there a lot. But to be bereted like children because we couldn't see the sign that the pool was closed after raining was uncalled for. But the very next day while it was actively raining and thundering the outdoor pool, kiddie pool & lazy river were full of people. So, implementing the rules and better signage (the closed sign was small and hung to side of the pool door) consistently would provide a better experience as well. I do not think I would recommend this resort unless things were updated.

But again, I called and they came right up and turned up the hot water tank. The new tvs were so crystal clear. It was beautifully remodeled. Just so beautiful. I loved the new look. The king sized beds definitely needs new mattresses. I was sleeping in a hole. We changed beds and it was a little better. My back needs a good support with all the rods and screws in it. Somehow I think they would have tried to fix it. They are always working around on the property. The pool area is so wonderful and comfortable. The outside of the doors needed painted to our place. Minor detail. Ive never been disappointed in the service. The people are top notch. So friendly. I really appreciated the woman we talked to about our parking pass and her trying to upgrade our timeshare with Wyndham. I said no, im not a bit interested. She asked why and honestly I just didn't want to. She didn't push me anymore and didn't change her actions with me. Still very sweet. I was extremely tired and in pain from the trip and appreciated her not pushing that on me. Like I said, the people make our stay so nice. I hope im able to make many more trips from WV. The rooms looked good other than fining out there were roaches in the room. Called to inform maintance but no one showed up. The place setting for guest is 4 so we had to go out and buy paper plates since we had 6 in our party. Not to mention had to buy trash bags and bathtissue as well. Took the kids to the indoor pool and while I went to the workout area the kids were asked to leave as they thought an adult was not with them. So I came out and had to go looking for my children who were sitting outside the locked condo door because I was at the indoor pool and gym area. Everyone says they were hounded about time share offers. But I reached out to go over mine and couldn't get a call back to go over my time share to see what I had or even upgrade. Signs said booking said no pets but we were woken up every morning around 4am to a dog barking upstairs. My late father always bragged on his stays here but since I took over it. I see it as a big let down other than the location of it.
