Villa Comunale is a picturesque waterfront park in Trani, offering a serene escape with its lush greenery and charming features. Visitors can meander through the park's pathways, encountering ponds teeming with turtles and goldfish, an aviary, and a playground for leisurely enjoyment. The park provides an ideal setting for a leisurely stroll while taking in breathtaking views of the sea.
Beautiful park to sit and chill while watching the sea, to take a walk, or even to do sports. It has a pond with turtles and fish. I spent a couple of hours just daydreaming and enjoying the breeze while having a drink and a walk. There is a tiny bar in one of the corners and also public toilets quite well kept. It seemed to be a restaurant there too but I visited in winter and it was completely closed.

SPEECHLESS. I have seen many things. I have been on many journeys, but this took the cake. I wish to be there right now. I could sit there still and watch the birds fly over my head all day long. Could listen to the sea. BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL. You witness parrots in the wild. You can see many beautiful flowers, plants that are common in the mediterranean area. You mustn’t miss it if you are near the city.
Nemes I — Google review
Great park with a lot of different views. Great for small kids. You can sit, relax and enjoy. Small parrots fly around. Even more animals if you look further.
Ronald J — Google review
A pleasant park with plenty of places to sit in the shade. The view of the sea is also interesting. Overall, a positive impression.

The property was really close to the train station but a bit difficult to get in. We needed to call to gain access. The room was small but clean and comfortable.
Angela M — Google review
Clean, safe, green place. You can spend very relaxing time with turtles and parrots:)

Perfect for kids, slides and swings at the shadow of many trees. Nice to watch turtles and parrots bathing. And a great view on the port and the sea.

What a beautiful place! Perfect family retreat from city to relax in the shade of trees... There is a fountain full of turtles and play ground for kids to go around when parents can try to catch a break on the bench 😉

Museum
Sights & Landmarks
Castello Svevo di Trani, a harborside castle constructed in 1233 by Frederick II of Swabia, is now open to the public as a museum. This medieval fortress was part of the network of fortifications built by Frederick II and is strategically located at the meeting point of land and sea. Made from the same stone as the cathedral, it features a quadrilateral perimeter with turrets at each corner.
An impressive 13th-century Swabian castle, a must-visit in Trani. The huge construction would be worth the visit alone, but to top it off you'll also get to see a part of the art collection of Margherita of Savoy, one of the last queens of Italy.
Ilias C — Google review
It’s was so beautiful to walk around the walls of the fortress 🙌 We watched the 12-minutes video about the castles and went for a walk on its walls. A great way to pass an hour in Trani The inside is a bit null
Paz L — Google review
The castle is right on the water and makes for a lovely photo. We basically had the castle to ourselves, only seeing two other people while there. Queen Marguerite's art collection is on display inside and the history of the castle is really interesting.
Alison C — Google review
One of the best-preserved medieval Swabian castles in the entire region, this fortress is steeped in legend. It is said to be haunted by two ghosts, and there are stories of a secret room where inhabitants would hide during sieges, as well as a mysterious underground passage that supposedly connected the castle to **Castel del Monte**, near Andria. However, this passage has never been discovered. I highly recommend enjoying the breathtaking view from the top of the castle towers.
Alessandro — Google review
Seaside castle. Internally is empty and a bit boring to walk around and don’t know the history. The best part is the outdoor walkway, with an amazing view . The cost of entry is €7 .
Giovanni P — Google review
Beautiful castle with lots of history to unveil , particularly liked pictures of queen Margherita.
MIHAEL S — Google review
This castle is a must see in the heart of Trani! It is in excellent condition and it dates back to around 1233. There is a platform where you could get an excellent view of the ocean and the city. In addition, you will learn so much about the interesting history. For people who also like art, there is a great art exhibition upstairs that exhibits the Queen of Naples art collection of Italian art. Furthermore, the staff is super knowledgeable and friendly and will help you answer any questions you may have. I recommend that anyone visiting Trani comes here!!

Located in the Palazzo Lodispoto, across from the cathedral, Polo Museale Diocesano Trani - Museo della Macchina per Scrivere - Fondazione S.E.C.A. is a well-organized museum that showcases artifacts recovered from the cathedral during renovations. The museum also houses a Typewriter Museum and other facilities.

(Translated by Google) An incredible collection of hundreds of typewriters and archaeological artifacts from various eras. A full morning is needed to fully explore it. Four stars instead of five because the Italian captions contain numerous typos ("Hamingway") and the English translations are downright grotesque ("vowels," referring to the vowels on typewriter keys, translated as "voices" instead of "vowels," for example). Furthermore, the area housing Daunia and Italic artifacts could be better lit to make them more visible.

(Translated by Google) The museum houses several sections dedicated to archaeology, church furnishings, and typewriters. The latter are housed here because entrepreneur Natale Pagano founded his own business in the city, after a long stint at Olivetti in Ivrea, and began collecting typewriters. The Palazzo Lodispoto houses the following sections: the Diocesan Museum on the second floor, with coats of arms, epigraphs, tombstones, and church furnishings; the Typewriter Museum on the first floor, with the Olivetti section in the basement; the Conference Hall, an event space, and the Cafeteria on the ground floor. The typewriters include 500 pieces on display: from keyboards in various languages, with duplicated uppercase and lowercase keys, or in Braille; from primitive models to electronic ones from recent decades, including famous movie models and toy models intended for children. The Museum has a partnership with the Sant'Anna Synagogue Museum: by presenting the other's ticket to one, you receive a discount on the second visit. The full price for admission is €7 (reduced to €5). Without a guided tour, but following the itinerary with the brochure provided at the entrance, the visit lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

(Translated by Google) A beautiful museum, indeed. There's everything. With only 3 euros per person it's really a great thing. We really appreciated the various things displayed on the 2nd Diocesan floor, the only flaws being, very few explanations and some areas of the 2nd floor that were really poorly ventilated. There are also objects found during the excavations of Egnazia, (which I recommend going to see), very beautiful, but fortunately nothing compared to what is found in the Egnazia headquarters. We also appreciated the humorous photographs of the comics that took me back in time... And we found lots of typewriters up to the first personal computers and laptops that made us remember the early days. What can I say... A place to visit with beautiful views. (Original) Un bel museo, davvero.

Porto di Trani is a charming and unpretentious harbor area with an 1800s stone building B&B offering down-to-earth rooms. In the morning, visitors can observe the bustling activity of fishermen returning with their catch. The port is surrounded by numerous seafood restaurants and eateries, providing fresh fish and a variety of dining options. It's recommended to reserve accommodations for at least two days to fully experience the calm port and its friendly atmosphere.
A very nice place to walk around. During the day you can buy fresh fish and in the evening admire the restaurants illuminated by lights.

There is a great park beside the coast to walk in etc. There is a children's playground for those who need it. We had an enjoyable low cost lunch at a bar just down a side street from the main restaurant area on the waterfront. This was a much better idea than the main tourist ones.

"Camper Park Trani" is a lovely green space located along the seafront, offering a peaceful escape with stunning views of the Adriatic sea. The park features beautiful trees, benches, a playground for children, and charming sculptures. It provides convenient camper parking close to Trani's historic center, allowing overnight stays with amenities such as electricity and grey water disposal.
Good parking , €10 for 24 hours and very easy walk to city centre. Super friendly and felt very safe. Hotel recommended.

This is very convenient for walking into Treni. It's a car park for campers and is well maintained for what it is.Looks a lot better than some of the photos & I think someone was onsite all the time. The receptionists didn't speak English but Google translate was great. We were packed in! One toilet with basin-kept clean.Expensive for what you get at 25 euros but we did get electric, water and waste included. We could stay until 3pm the next day.

Ideal location for visiting Trani . Freindly chap parking you up . Very busy so tight to other vans . Also seems lots of cars parking too . Loo nice & clean . Locked at night . Electric available. €25 a bit pricey but worth it for access to town .
J H — Google review
Parking lot for campers very close to historic center of Trani. You can stay over night for €15-25 depending on your vehicle. There is one toilet (minus one star for no toilet paper), no showers. There is electricity and the possibility to get rid of grey water. Perfect for an evening visit to Trani.
T. F — Google review
We wanted to stay there for one night, but we didn't because it wasn't for us. I don't mind paying 25 EUR per night, but not when I'm packed like sardines in a tin, while there is a plenty of space left on the parking. Not only the boss tells you where you have to park, but even which way your van must be facing (never had that in my life!). But the final deal breaker was that we couldn't have our cat waking around the van, because there is a big dog that runs freely all around the place. So he told me I couldn't have my cat out. So we went away from there and found a place much better suited for us - right on the beach and for free. But even if we had stayed there, I don't see a reason why this overpriced parking would get more than 3 stars.
Piotr N — Google review
Stayed 2 nights here as the location is great - Just a 5 minute walk to Trani harbour and old town . Secure and safe with guy there throughout the night. Has toilet, water and elsan drop off. The 2 gentlemen managing it were very pleasant and helpful . Great for bikes too - we cycled to Bisceglie while we were there. Would definitely go back and recommend to others. Thanks :)

Seafood restaurant
Corteinfiore is a charming seafood restaurant nestled in the historic Jewish Ghetto, housed within a 16th-century building just a stone's throw from the harbor. Run by Michele Matera and his wife Loredana, this eatery has been delighting patrons for two decades with its creative Mediterranean dishes that highlight fresh catches from local waters. The airy ambiance features beautiful stone walls and an enchanting winter garden adorned with lotuses, pomegranates, citrus trees, and apricots.
Had an excellent light lunch here starting with a crudo platter. Next up were a selection of hot starters with the cuttlefish and fava beans dish stealing the show. Very fairly priced in my opinion.

Highly recommended—the chef’s choice for the appetizers was absolutely delicious!
Brian L — Google review
We had the set menu and were really excited about dinner but I think the restaurant is a victim of its own success and it felt like they made little effort. There was no explanation of the courses, we were stuck in the back room with all the tourists and children and 2 successive pasta courses was just too filling. there was also very little fish/prawn to pasta ratio. For the money it was extremely poor value.

Fine dining restaurant
Quintessenza Ristorante offers a modern Italian gastronomic experience, complemented by expertly selected wines from their sommelier. Situated in an elegant setting, this upscale restaurant prides itself on outstanding service, an exceptional location, and above all else, remarkable cuisine. Having been established since 2017, Quintessenza Ristorante continues to improve and impress its patrons with high-class dining that strikes the perfect balance between sophistication and accessibility.
This is one of those experiences you don’t want to miss! Everything was great - food, wine list, location, atmosphere, service - perfection! Dishes with lots of miles behind and food made with love. Absolutely loved it!

We tried the tasting menu without the wine pairing and loved it - you might think portions are too small but it all adds up in the end. We also had a private tour of the restaurant and surroundings which we appreciated a lot. We could feel the effort and passion staff puts into it🫶🏻

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 So good, we went twice – a true culinary gem in Trani! Quintessenza absolutely impressed us. The dishes are refined, creative, and deeply rooted in Apulian tradition. Every detail – from the ingredients to the presentation – was perfectly thought out and beautifully executed. We ended up dining here twice during our stay because it was simply that good. A special thanks to Domenico, who took care of us both evenings – professional, warm, and genuinely passionate about his work. His service made the experience even more memorable. The atmosphere is calm, elegant, and welcoming – the perfect setting for a truly special evening. If you love exceptional food and thoughtful service, this place is a must. Highly recommended!
Mrki — Google review
Outstanding service from all the team, with a shout-out for Domenico who was knowledgeable, informative and generous with his time in discussing the food, wine and all matters Pugilese. The local red wine, San Valentino from Villa Schinosa, was excellent and perfect accompaniment for the deer. The amusés were beautiful and a taste sensation; the starter of tuna was outstanding with a melt in the mouth texture; the scampi was delicate accompanied by gossamer thin seaweed crackers; Gargano to Salento was a rolled offal dish, with a rich but well+balanced flavour; the deer with cherries and beetroot carpacio was so tender, well seared but pink in the middle; and as for the Apulian Farmer's breakfast dessert (shared)......such simple ingredients, perfectly prepared and elegantly presented. A memorable evening and at €200 a reasonable price for both location and quality.

As I reflect on my visit to this place, I find myself struggling to find the right words to describe it. The beauty of every detail is strikingly impressive, especially the food they serve. I haven't come across another place that even comes close to matching the excellence of this one. The table at the winery is an experience that you simply can't afford to miss. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you'll cherish forever.

An exclusive restaurant, very professionally run by four brothers. The warm welcome and communication throughout the dinner left an indelible impression. One of the best dining experiences we have ever had! This beautiful venue is host to a team of amazing staff who are truly passionate about what they do. The food was delicious! We had the tasting menu and went for wine pairing too, every dish was full of flavour and the simple use of fantastic ingredients along with perfect seasoning and finesse in the delivery of each plate of food made for an overall five star meal. The wines were both unusual and tasty and each wine went well with the dish it was presented with. We started with a fantastic local sparkling wine as well which blew us away! The staff were so attentive, friendly and smiling and taking care of our every need and question. We would highly recommend this as a must visit restaurant if you have the budget and are visiting Trani!

Pizza restaurant
Pizzeria Pulcinella is a fantastic place to experience authentic Italian pizza and a friendly atmosphere. The exceptional pizza and extremely friendly service make it a must-visit for anyone looking for an authentic Italian meal. Despite the long queues on weekends, visiting on a quieter evening ensures an impressive dining experience. The staff is welcoming and speaks English, offering a great selection of delicious pizzas at great prices. Additionally, they serve meat dishes and delectable desserts like Nutellotto.
Popular pizza based restaurant in Trani with a ferocious local following, delicious wood fired pizza, and a huge parking lot. Wait times here on Saturday night can be over an hour, but you can easily take out with no wait. There are only local folks here... families and couples, but qr codes for translated menus are available. Service is basic but friendly and the place is comfortable... no pressure to eat quickly or leave if you wish to linger. It seems as though the custom is for everyone to order their own pizza, but we shared, and nobody frowned.

Never again!!! Terrible experience that happen 22.3.2025.Group of 20 people that wanted to enjoy dinner has been treated very badly by waitress with shor blond hair! She let us wait more that 20 min outside, for arrival of last mom with little baby, telling us this is this their policy.after that last people arrived she welcomed us by yelling on us that we are blocking table for more than 20 min... If we were not 20 people, I will just take my jacket and leave, this is not the way to treat people.. I'm sure the restaurant lost by 20 min something but im sure that this 20people won't come back in the future... Good luck with employees like that!!!

Wedding venue
Le Lampare al Fortino is a renowned restaurant in Trani, offering breathtaking views of the port and sea. Housed in a 13th-century desecrated church, it provides a unique dining experience. The menu features delicious seafood dishes prepared in various styles, along with delectable Mediterranean options. While some visitors found the prices to be on the higher side compared to other restaurants in Puglia, many praised the quality of their meals.
We had two amazing, back to back dinners at Lampare. When I was first researching our stay in Trani I overlooked Lampare, thinking it was only for catered events. Let me tell you, if you can manage a visit (or two), do it. It is a beautiful building serving incredible food with the finest of service. For the quality of food and service, I found the prices to be quite reasonable. Both nights we had pasta with fresh lobster that was incredible. I also have to say that the pink grapefruit sorbetto is not to be missed if you are looking for something light and refreshing. It’s only been a couple months since our visit and we are already talking about a return!

It is recommended as one of best restaurants ever in Puglia. I agree but need to go there again... The friends I went with were slightly disappointed as they tried a tuna stake 8 years ago and found it absolutely number one, this time the cooking of same tuna steak did leave them concerned. All of other dishes were good but not top. I want to try again my pasta main course, it left me 80% happy. Again ok but not aligning the price we paid for. The restaurant did not have any french wines that night. We still choose a good wine. But if it is a Michelin star I expect to find a wide variety of wines. That said the experience was good and I am going again as I feel like that night a big event at the restaurant did not help the cooks and chefs (I expect a star Michelin to manage such events and regular customers at tables though). Can't wait to go again.

A fine experience. Great service, great scenery. They kindly welcomed us and satisfied our special dietary needs. Outstanding seafood and delicious vegan options. Update: My family and I decided to come back here after 5 days. Once again a very pleasant experience. More and even better vegan options. The usually great sea food. Lampare really was a sensational and unforgettable night - my husband and I will forever remember the incredible setting, impeccable service and how we were all made to feel so welcome. The food was excellent and we will always hold this place for a special place in our hearts. See you soon! ❤️

Enchanting dining experience in a restaurant that is beautifully situated at the inner "fortino", right on the ancient and picturesque port structure. A memorable choice for a party or an important celebration, the menu is refined and researched in the flavors, with no pre-made dishes and a relaxing timing to the serving of the courses. On a day with a light sea breeze, the meal would be very enjoyable right on the terrace.highly recommended the desserts, in particular the chocolate gran suofflé.

Pesto di Pistacchio is a delightful Italian restaurant that has received high praise for its exceptional food and service. Visitors have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the vegetarian and vegan options, with some even considering it the best they've had in Italy. The pesto linguine stands out as a particularly outstanding dish, surpassing even traditional pesto recipes. The restaurant is owned by a charming husband and wife team who ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Pesto di Pistacchio was in one word perfect! The dishes are incredible + the staff is so kind and understanding for allergens. We loved everything! Thank you all so much and will be back soon for sure!

We ended up in here trying to find another restaurant as we got lost. Looking from the outside it looked nice, and checking out the reviews - it was good. Though as we sat down and I kept reading, I noticed it was vegan. I kind of ended up getting scared as I traveled with family and they weren't keen on vegan food. Thinking further, I ended up ordering tacos and the pistachio pesto spaghetti - and they were divine. Thanks to Pesto di Pistacchio, I can actually walk into some vegan restaurants with my parents as they really find the choices delicious. I would definitely recommend, and would totally come back if i am in Trani.

Simply outstanding! The paccheri alla carcerata alone are worth the visit — beautifully presented and perfectly balanced. Pesto di Pistacchio was the best restaurant we tried during our stay in Puglia. Every dish was prepared with great care, using high-quality ingredients and served with an elegant touch. The atmosphere is refined yet welcoming, and the owner’s kindness made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Not just excellent vegan food, but a complete dining experience that shows real passion and attention to every detail. Highly recommended — not only for vegans and vegetarians!

I tried the taster menu and it was incredible. Every dish had me gobbling it down then excited for the next. The staff was very friendly and had great wine recommendations to go with the meal.

We ordered food for take away and it was amazing, I am looking forward to going back. We had the tortino di pasta, crocchettone di patate and the polpette al pistachio. Rarely we have eaten something so tasteful. I absolutely recommend the place!!

The restaurant has so much potential but most of the dishes fall short one way or the other for things that could be fixed very easily. The crocchettone was amazing but a bit too salty while some starters in the carrellata either had too much or too little salt. The same problem with the salt happened with the orecchiette, very little and a bit dry overall. The paccheri could use a bit more love. The broccoli filling was too strong and the way the dish was served was scenic but not so convenient to eat. The 3D steak was interesting but the mustard sauce was not a great pairing. The mango cheesecake was too sweet but otherwise good. Given the high price range of the restaurant, it would be amazing level up the experience.
