La Capannina di Franceschi is a legendary Italian seafood restaurant located within a large beachfront nightclub and disco. It holds historical significance, being part of the vibrant 1960s era in Versilia, where it was frequented by iconic figures and served as a retreat for affluent individuals seeking privacy during the summer. The restaurant offers an elegant setting for dining and is known for its exquisite cuisine. Additionally, it features DJ sets that create a lively atmosphere perfect for enjoying summer nights.
An historic restaurant disco, famous from the italian film "Sapore di Mare ". Of you go on holiday in Forte dei Marmi I suggest you a visit especially when there is the show of Jerry Cala.

Unfortunately, our experience here did not meet our expectations. We were hoping for a high-energy, upscale night out, but the vibe here was not what we were looking for at all. The food selection was underwhelming, and the overall atmosphere felt more like a dinner event than the vibrant clubbing experience we anticipated. The transition to a nightclub setting after dinner was awkward and didn’t quite match the energy we were hoping for. Before 11pm, the crowd was much older and didn't align with the lively, younger atmosphere we expected. After 11pm, the crowd shifted drastically and felt more like a group of teenagers than the sophisticated crowd we had hoped to see in a venue like this. For a place that’s in Forte Dei Marmi, we expected a more refined, high-end experience, but unfortunately, this was not it. While the venue itself has potential, the overall vibe, music, and crowd didn’t match what we were looking for. We won't be returning, and we wouldn't recommend it for those seeking an upscale, high-energy nightlife experience.

Broken doors, peeling paint, boiling hot, pricey drinks etc etc. Decent show... But this should have been one of the main nights of the summer (Ferragosto). Si...no.

historic disco in Forte dei Marmi. La Capannina has long been known as the number one restaurant in the area and attracts customers from all over Italy. The shows are up to the venue and obviously having been there on New Year's Eve it was very full of people but it was still a fun evening to dance, listen to music and have a drink with friends.

it's a mythical place! DJ's set music let you in summer dance!

very high quality food. it deserves 5 🌟 but depending on who serves you. You could get a person that is very good or one that smashes the food on the table. We where the first time delighted and the second time we where to this restaurant close to stand up and slapping the personal. We will not go back a third time to find out. The minimum would be to apologize if you wait 60 min for your entry. And to not have the feeling to disturb when ordering.

To go once just to say : " I was there " NO particular attractions, cocktails are really bad, trivial music, no Dj sets. It' a an average club, that became famous and now lives on the shoulders of its past splendor

Fondazione Villa Bertelli is a historic villa in Forte dei Marmi, originally built as the headquarters of the Italian Society of Exploding Products. After changing hands, it became a hotel and later closed down. Today, it stands as a cultural center with art exhibitions and concerts in its theater. The villa's well-kept garden serves as an outdoor gallery for contemporary art installations. Visitors are drawn to its Renaissance charm and tranquil atmosphere, making it a unique fusion of art and nature.
We went there for a concert. It looks a nice place very close to the town center so easy to get there if you stay in the area. Parking was not available, so we had to leave the car on the street nearby. Overall we had a pleasant experience.

In line with this plan, swimming pools are prohibited along the seafront, and buildings are not allowed to exceed the height of surrounding trees.
Amazing!!! Exquisite! I can’t find enough words to say about this place. We had a large party come to the beach town to celebrate a friend’s anniversary! Angelo and his team took great care of us!!! He went so far as to book our reservation for dinner when the places we wanted to go were booked. I will definitely be back!!

Lots of parking on the main street, €4.50 for 3 hours. Family friendly public beach under 10 mins walk from main road, sandy and clean. Gently shelving seabed safe for about 30 metres with small waves good for small children. Some hawkers on the beach selling kites and drinls but they tended to leave you alone.

Nice and clean public beach, bring own umbrella/towels. Lifeguard is on duty. I took the bus E35 and walked 900m (13-15mins). Not too crowded. I had my own personal space. Beware of your surroundings, and the man/women trying to sell fakes handbags & beach towels. They can be quite aggressive. Probably best to just ignore them.

Free beach and free parking on the street beside it. Sandy with a few pebbles when you enter the water. It's dark grainy sand rather than soft golden. It wasn't busy when we went on a Tuesday afternoon. A few small waves but it's shallow to waist height for 30 or 40m.

Seafood restaurant
Pesce Baracca is a unique dining concept in Forte dei Marmi, offering a blend of gastronomy, seafood market, restaurant, and street food. The Vaiani family manages five restaurants along the coastline, each with its own distinct features to cater to different tastes. Situated by the sea, Pesce Baracca provides an innovative experience where guests can enjoy the catch of the day from the nearby port either as takeout or on a terrace overlooking the jetty.
The owners of this restaurant knows how to run successfully in the seafood business. The atmosphere is casual, yet with clean and elegant style. The food is the highlight of this restaurant, with excellent quality and variety of dishes.this is a must go in Forte dei Marmi, and among my favourite top 3 spots.i will always come back here, as it always deliver the expectation, and more.
Alessandro — Google review
We stopped by Pesce Baracca for lunch today and had such a nice experience. We ordered the grilled prawns and fried calamari both were super fresh and full of flavor. I especially loved the calamari because it was crispy without being heavy or oily really light and well done. The only negative thought is that they could work on thier service , they weren’t as attentive and it’s probably because how crowded the restaurant was and it’s more of a casual spit nothing too fancy just good food so i would definitely come back if we’re in Forte dei Marmi again.
Dhai A — Google review
We visited Pesce Baracca three times during our stay in Forte dei Marmi — that’s how good it was! The food is absolutely amazing: fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. In our opinion, it’s the best seafood restaurant in town. I had the best risotto I’ve ever tasted in Italy here — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was also excellent: friendly, efficient, and welcoming. The atmosphere is casual but the quality is top-notch. It’s also very kid-friendly, which made it even more enjoyable for our family. We’re already missing it. If you visit Forte dei Marmi, this place is a must!
Hyerim P — Google review
This place is located a few steps from the central beach of Forte dei Marmi and offers two convenient options - a leisurely restaurant and a quick snack in a bistro. At the same time, the quality and freshness of the dishes are absolutely the same. Definitely yes!

This places was crowded the staff are extremely nice to let us in . The service is excellent despite the restaurant was super busy on a Saturday night ! The food was well cooked and excellent. The drawback was the price which I think is was somewhat overpriced , however forte dei marmi is an expensive spot .

To be very honest I expected more. Especially because we were in the restaurant and not in the “quick bites” area. Service was definitely not the best, I asked a question about the dish and got a very rude answer, ended up ordering something I didn’t want to. Fish was ok

Carl C — Google review
The restaurant was very good. The service was great and the food was very nice. The environment is very calm between a pool and a beautiful garden. However, this restaurant is located inside a hotel that is supposedly a 5-star L. After the meal, it was impossible to get transportation and the hotel personnel made no effort to help us. In this scenario, you are stranded in between two towns under 30+ degree temperatures. It is unacceptable to have this poor service in a place that is rated as a luxury venue. The restaurant does not deserve a good review, as the service shall be integrally and excellently provided by the hotel which plays host to it. Our experience was crushed by a terrible service from the hotel staff.
Ibarra I — Google review
This is our special place. The food and the service are exquisite. Located at The Byron Hotel with gorgeous by the pool seating this restaurant even gives you a water menu. A WATER MENU! What an experience. The chef, Cristoforo, is a young man from Naples who earned a Michelin star at 26, he’s a genius. How about a macaroon filled with chicken liver? I mean seriously. The wine selection and presentation, the setting, the brilliant food and the service, this place is a full experience. Oh...get the Octopus! It is crisply grilled. You will not find better. The restaurant is filled with The Who’s Who of Forte die Marmi. Dress up, go hungry, and have a night like no other.

Ristorante Lorenzo offers a fine dining experience in a simple yet elegant setting, adorned with contemporary art and boasting an impressive wine cellar. Located in Forte dei Marmi, this restaurant is renowned for its seafood expertise, led by the trio of chefs from the esteemed Giglio di Lucca restaurant. The menu features Mediterranean flavors and fresh ingredients, with standout dishes like the delectable 'Spaghetti alla Versigliese.'
Incredible experience! The mostly raw fish dishes showcased unparalleled freshness—each bite was delicate, pure, and bursting with flavor. I’ve rarely tasted seafood this fresh. The chefs’ dedication to quality and detail shines through in every plate. Truly unforgettable and a must-visit for any seafood lover.

It's a real pleasure every time I go there. The quality of the fish is extremely high, and the cuisine is simple but very tasty. Pasta is amazing , and especially "Spaghetti alla Versigliese" are so delicious that they are worth the journey. The place is owned by the legendary Lorenzo and his daughter Chiara now. A real must in Tuscany. The personnel is nice and welcoming.
Kirlo90 — Google review
Lorenzo is an institution in Forte dei Marmi and has maintained a gastronomic standard for a few decades. The young team of waitrons are energetic, well informed and eager to please. The display by the sommelier of the whipping up of a mayonnaise in full display of diners was nothing short of impressive. The final product was as impressive. The decor unfortunately does not resonate with the gastronomic objective. It is not even dated it is dysfunctional and rather garish. The art on the walls is meaningless and thoughtless. It is in desperate need of some form of creative intervention. My goose liver pate, though, was as good any that I have had in France. Given the multiple confirmatory emails and obligatory credit card deposits required for a reservation I was expecting a lot more!

A real fine dining experience in Forte dei Marmi. Very Friendly staff, probably the best wine sommelier I've ever met. And we loved the olive oil they served on the table and we found out the Chef mills his own olives, and they sold us three 1 liter bottles. A must when vacationing in this charming town.

Fine dining restaurant
Ristorante Bistrot is an upscale dining destination with a charming terrace that offers a delightful selection of local fish and vegetables on both tasting and à la carte menus. Founded by the Vaiani brothers, this Michelin-starred restaurant presents a fusion of Asian and Italian cuisine, featuring raw fish, exotic seasonings, and tableside cooking. The restaurant's posh and luxurious atmosphere is complemented by excellent service and an intriguing wine list.
Worth it all. This one Michelin star offers delicious food in a posh ambient. Using top quality ingredients, dishes with distinct flavours are carefully prepared to a consistently high standard. The service also is up to standard even if you have to consider that you are at the sea. A particularly interesting wine list.
Giorgio F — Google review
Where do I start? Unfortunately, I left this meal very disappointed. I first visited Bistrot in July 2020 with my mother. We discovered it by chance, tried it, and were absolutely impressed, every dish was outstanding, the service was excellent, and we returned the very next night. We left Forte dei Marmi with beautiful memories, one of the most vivid being the amazing dinners we had there. Fast forward five years: I’m back in Forte, this time with my boyfriend for one night. As soon as we planned the trip, I booked Bistrot immediately because I wanted him to experience the same exceptional food. I also noticed they had since earned a Michelin star, which raised my expectations even more. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to them. We were seated promptly, but the atmosphere felt chaotic. The staff weren’t exactly rushing, but there was a constant sense of urgency that made the space feel stressful rather than refined. Both my boyfriend and I noticed it straight away, not what you expect from a Michelin-level experience, but we were still hopeful. While ordering, I mentioned my allergies, and the waiter took note. He also pointed out that my boyfriend had only ordered meat dishes and asked if it was a preference, since the chef would be sending out amuse-bouches. We confirmed it was, and he said he’d inform the kitchen. When the amuse-bouches arrived, my boyfriend’s plate was identical to mine, two of the bites contained fish. He decided to try them anyway, but the oversight was disappointing. I also double-checked with the waiter who served them if they were safe for me (celery allergy). He said one might contain celery, something I had already informed another staff member about. He went to double-check and came back confirming it was safe, but this shouldn’t happen in a Michelin-starred restaurant. For starters, I had the calamari with chickpeas, and my boyfriend had the beef tartare. Both were beautifully plated, but lacked flavor. My calamari needed seasoning, and the tartare, though served with a sauce, tasted like plain meat. Thankfully, the bread selection was delicious, one of the few highlights up to that point. For the main course, I had the turbot, and my boyfriend had the green chicche with rabbit ragù and salted ricotta. Again, mine was bland. His, on the other hand, was flavorful and by far the best dish of the evening, the only one we’d recommend. For dessert, we shared a mascarpone cream with berries and cacao crumble. It was okay, but unremarkable. The true highlight of the evening was the sommelier, a young man who was friendly, knowledgeable, and consistently attentive. He helped us choose a wine and checked in with us throughout the night. His service was truly appreciated and stood out from the rest of the staff. That said, there were other service issues. We were seated at what I believe was the worst table in the restaurant, right in front of a door to the terrace. Staff constantly passed through, and every time, my hair (which I had in a bun) was brushed or bumped as they moved past. It was distracting and unpleasant, and no one seemed to notice. There were also a few issues with wine service. My boyfriend’s glass sat empty for a while until he poured it himself. A staff member noticed and apologized, but later in the meal the same thing happened, his glass stayed empty for another eight minutes before being refilled. The bill came to around €270, which I wouldn’t have minded at all had the food and service matched what I experienced in 2020. Sadly, it didn’t. I know some of my comments might seem picky, but I believe they’re fair, especially when evaluating a Michelin-starred restaurant. Even without the star, I don’t think I’d return. The food simply wasn’t memorable. It’s such a shame. I remembered this place as truly special. I hope my feedback is taken as a genuine opportunity to reflect and improve.

Amazing experience overall. We had a problem with our reservation but the host managed it well. The food quality, taste, and variety is great. We enjoyed our visit and it’s worth 5 stars. Note: the menu for female has no pricing .. something i liked 🤪😜
Eng. A — Google review
We came with the family, the food was decent, but the service was terrible. The waitress kept forgetting things: she didn’t bring me the menu (1 out of 6), then brought the wrong menu for dessert, didn’t take our dessert order in time and along the way we had to constantly remind her to pay some attention to us. What started off well with good food was completely ruined by the lack of proper service. We had to ask for the waitress attention over again and again; she apologized, but honestly, it became exhausting. The food arrival could be managed much better, the plates stayed dirty for some time and no additional knife was offered when we needed one, we could not grab attention of the waiter at that point as well. The neighboring tables she served were also unhappy. We ended up waiting 30 minutes for our dessert. This level of service is unacceptable for a Michelin-starred restaurant. With a cheque of Michelin level restaurant having such service is a complete disgrace, this is the worst service we have seen in forte dei marmi actually. The andrea&andrea dessert, the egg from the farm were really really nice. And general level of the food was also very decent, however the lack of service organization ruined almost all experience

On the upside is the courtesy and service, very pleasat indeed, close to flawless, the place is welcoming for your buck. The pinchline, for service freaks but not for foodies or wine lovers

Fantastic fine dining in Forte dei Marmi. The food, whether fish, meat or pasta, is delectable, delicious, and beautifully presented. The dishware is very original, inspired by the local marble-working craftsmen. A special experience.

Had the chance to dine once again at Bistrot Forte dei Marmi with my friends on Friday, the 26th of 2025. This place serves the finest Italian cuisine, and I’ve been coming here since 2003 without ever being disappointed. Mr. David, the owner, always treats me with exceptional care. On this visit, I had the honor of meeting the entire Bistrot family—what a wonderful experience. I hope to visit this amazing restaurant often during my trips to Italy. A big thank you to the whole team! “Good food is the foundation of genuine happiness.” BistrotForteDeiMarmi #ItalianCuisine #FoodieHeaven #TasteOfItaly #CulinaryExcellence #DiningWithFriends

Ristorante Lux Lucis is a renowned dining spot located in Forte, offering a unique culinary experience. The restaurant is led by star chef Valentino Cassanelli, who has been at the helm for almost a decade. The menu pays homage to Via Vandelli, featuring a fine-dining selection that combines countryside and mountain flavors with seafood elements. Situated on the top floor of Hotel Principe, the elegant space provides breathtaking panoramic views of the sea, mountains, and pine forests.
Great sky lounge is welcoming with beautiful 350 view, snacks accompanimg drinks are very average, but Lux Lucis gourmet restaurant is extraordinary. Excellent service and fine tuned dishes with local ingredients in a modern, designer atmosphere

We went to Lux Lucis for a Brunch with my family on Christmas Eve and everything was perfect. Amazing food all round, great atmosphere and stunning view of the sea from the terrace. The menu was balanced and refined, the wine selection nothing short of amazing. The service was just perfection: always available and ready, never invasive. Every single person who served us was extremely professional and just made us feel right at home. It's clear that a lot of care went into every aspect of the experience, and it shows! Highly recommended.

Delicious food, great service, and beautiful dining room. The oysters were total perfection 😍 and the pasta with crab was my favorite. Each dish was beautifully plated, Italian with a Japanese-like twist!

Overall it did not meet our expectations in terms of food taste. We have tried similar restaurants with pairing and tasting but this one was below expectations and not worth what we paid. Service in general was good.

A Michelin star experience. From our entrance to our exit. The service is fast and effective with great attention to detail. I loved the fact that they all wear tennis shoes so they can be comfortable as the rush and work. The food was delicious and imaginative and even though the portions seemed to be really small, we walked out of the restaurant completely full.

The views from this restaurant are magical, it's nice to be greeted by the chef from the open plan kitchen. The food is very clinical and technical, I would have like a little more flavour in the dishes, there are better restaurants for me. I wouldn't go again but would recommend you to try it

One of the best restaurant experiences I've had. The place and the view was spectacular. The staff was beyond kind and helpful. And as a person with multiple food allergies, the fact that I was able to eat several different dishes was exceptional. We can't thank you enough for your help with our special night. We will definitely be back!
