Tagaytay

Tagaytay is a popular holiday town south of Manila on the Philippine island Luzon. Known for its mild climate, it sits on a ridge above Taal Volcano Island, an active volcano surrounded by Taal Lake. Overlooking the area, People’s Park in the Sky occupies the grounds of a never-finished presidential mansion. Picnic Grove is a recreation area with trails and a zip line.

Tagaytay Picnic Grove is a popular destination in Tagaytay City, Cavite known for its stunning views of the volcano and lake. It offers picnic areas where visitors can bring their own food and rent tables, huts, or gazebos to enjoy a relaxing day with family and friends. Additionally, the locale features zip lines and horseback riding for those seeking more adventurous activities.
The place is perfect for families. We tried their horse riding and took lots of pictures. The entrance fee was very affordable, and so were the horse riding and zip line activities. They also have restaurants inside, which is super convenient. Overall, a great spot for a fun family day!

The place is incredibly peaceful and perfect for a family picnic. I tried the zipline for 300ph, and it was an absolute blast. You get to see the beautiful view from up there.

If you’re visiting as a group, make sure to arrive early to secure parking and avoid the crowd. It’s best to enjoy walking around before the sun gets too strong—even if the weather is cold, it’s much more pleasant earlier in the day. Overall, coming ahead of time really makes the experience smoother and more enjoyable.
Lei C — Google review
Great place to visit if you want to see the volcano from a nice distance. Pretty chill place except when it's peak hours. The walk on the wooden bridges were cool too except for when it's raining. Hard to find places to cover you from the rain around the area too since it's just an open park except the restaurants. Otherwise, a good visit. Parking and entrance fees could be cheaper, but it's in a decent price if it means maintaining the place well.
Regina M — Google review
The place is great for families and bigger group who want to chill and have fun. There are tons of stores in there selling everything from food to drinks to souvenirs. There’s also restaurants in the park. You can either bring your food or buy in there.

•One of my most favourite parks in the world. •Plenty of activities and shops where you can buy snacks and souvenirs. •Best view decks and nature in Tagaytay.

Picnic Grove is one of the best places to see Taal Volcano a small but active volcano in the middle of a lake. The view is relaxing and perfect for a picnic. You can bring food, rent a hut, or just sit on the grass and enjoy the fresh air. Great spot for photos and chill moments.

Specialty Museums
Puzzle Mansion, located in Barangay Asisan, Tagaytay City, is a unique museum that boasts an extensive collection of jigsaw puzzles from various genres. It gained recognition in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2012 for having the largest collection of jigsaw puzzles, surpassing the previous record held by Brazil. The museum is home to over 1,000 puzzles initially and has since expanded to approximately 2,000 puzzles dating back to the 1980s.
This is such an amazing experience. It might not be glamorous and fancy but I definitely appreciate it. The entrance fee is i think 100 pesos. It’s very worth every penny and be amaze of her passion for assembling puzzles. There will be someone who would give you some insights regarding the puzzle and will let you be on your own after. Each and every frames are her life’s work. It is deeply nestled some where in Tagaytay but google maps will definitely be able to bring you there. There are also signs of “Puzzle Mansion” along the roads so you would definitely arrive at your destination. The road from the main entrance is kinda steep so just make sure you ride something that can take it.
Majrie — Google review
It is a nice and quiet place. You can see so many puzzles here and know the owner's story. Not so many visitors. Easy to Parking and buy ticket.
Traveler M — Google review
Puzzle Mansion in Tagaytay, Cavite, is the world's only jigsaw puzzle museum (Guinness-recognized from 2012-2017 for the largest collection of over 1,000 puzzles), housed in a former bed-and-breakfast on a hilly, one-hectare property. Founded by collector Georgina Gil-Lacuna (who passed in 2014), it showcases rare, intricate puzzles—from 3D designs and wooden originals to massive art replicas—plus a novelty shop for souvenirs like custom photo puzzles and coconut cream pie. It's a quirky, offbeat stop for puzzle nerds, families, or rainy-day escapes, blending art, history, and whimsy amid Tagaytay's cool vibes and volcano views. Pros: Unique Collection: Over 1,000 puzzles (e.g., crystal, wooden, 5,000-piece giants) tell stories—guides share Lacuna's passion, making it educational and "spark[s] curiosity." X users love posing with big ones for laughs. Charming Vibe: Hilly, pineapple-surrounded spot feels like a "secret rest house." Infinity pool, café (try the pie!), and photo ops add whimsy—great for kids or couples. Value & Accessibility: PHP 100 entry (kids/seniors half); free parking. Rainy-day proof, with AC indoors. Cultural Tie-In: Guinness legacy + Filipino hospitality; 2025 Vatican-adjacent buzz from nearby SVD Farm visitors. Cons: Remote Location: Steep, unpaved roads (4-5 km off highway)—needs car/tricycle (PHP 100-200); "challenging in poor weather." Basic Facilities: Cramped layout hinders viewing details; no big events post-2014. Some call it "humble" vs. flashy museums. Niche Appeal: If you're not into puzzles, it can feel "repetitive" after 30 mins—better for enthusiasts. Limited Hours/Info: Closes early; occasional stockouts at shop. Tips for Your Visit Best Time: Weekdays/mornings to beat crowds; rainy season for indoor focus. 15 mins from Tagaytay Rotonda. Budget: PHP 300-500/person (entry + pie/snacks/souvenirs). Book via Trip.com for bundles. Etiquette: No touching puzzles; modest dress if tying in spiritual stops. Pets OK, wheelchair access limited.
Lope Q — Google review
We visited Puzzle Mansion over the weekend. The entrance fee is 100 pesos per head. As someone who loves art, I really appreciated the place. I was amazed by the puzzles made by the owner. There was also a tour guide who shared the history of the museum. It’s worth noting that Puzzle Mansion is recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the largest collection of jigsaw puzzles. I was truly inspired by this visit to start creating my own puzzles.
April D — Google review
Was a nice little museum 2 floors of puzzles. Excellent history telling and explaining from tour guide. Can take selfies and pics. Have food and souvenirs. Has a bathroom.
Cecil C — Google review
I LOVED THIS PLACE. The staff was so kind and friendly and told great stories about the puzzles and the lady that assembled them all. There were so many amazing and unique puzzles to view. This is a two story building and it's worth the trip. There is a gift shop upstairs but one of the coolest features is the amazing and fun jeepney that they have on display. The most difficult part though may be the incredibly steep hill you must take to enter or exit. Our tuktuk refused to go down the hill so we walked.
Jeremy B — Google review
This place was inspiring. The time and patience the owner did to create this place and her jigsaw puzzle collection to the point she got in Guiness World of Records. Hands down!

Art Galleries
Museo Orlina, located in Tagaytay City, is a captivating indoor-outdoor museum dedicated to showcasing the remarkable works of glass sculptor Ramon Orlina. The museum features an impressive collection of stunning glass sculptures and commissioned artworks by both local and foreign artists. It serves as a platform for artists to exhibit their creations using various media such as paintings and sculptures.
Before we got here, I thought it would be just another ordinary museum (especially when we saw the exterior of this place). I was so wrong. It's the most beautiful museum I have visited. And I'm not one with a keen eye for art. The glass art alone makes this museum a top-notch tourist destination, but also the way the artworks are positioned and placed inside the museum is really cohesive and almost like it takes you on a journey from when the artist (Ramon Orlina) started his first artwork to his last. And despite the small building-size (compared to other museums), his huge collection of artworks is neatly arranged without making the place feel small. In fact, they have arranged it in a way that this small space has become quite enormous. In addition to that, there are other artworks displayed in the museum from other glass artists, painters, and sculptors. I highly recommend you visit this museum when you come to Tagaytay.
Aaron C — Google review
Wonderful place to visit and see glass art. Lots of items to see and enjoy. Entrance fee is reasonable. Only drawback is since area is primarily a residential area, museum have zero customer parking area, so you have to park on the street. Family visited during the weekday, but there was still a large crowd (I think there was a big group scheduled on that day). Still enjoyed my short visit.
Jojo G — Google review
I visited on my birthday and boy was it amazing!!! I didn’t have any expectations coming here as it was a last-minute addition to our itinerary. Entrance fee is about 150php each but they honor student, PWD, and senior discounts. It has multiple floors, auto displays, and garden area. Beautiful glass artwork will astound you as well as lovely paintings and some metal work. I love it here and totally recommend swinging by if you are in Tagaytay. The area is accessible but we missed the turn as we are coming from the other side and didn’t see the sign.
Raz B — Google review
Visited this museum of Mr. Orlina yesterday, the artworks were tremendous! Especially the glass sculptures. Truly, I'd have fun. p.s The rooftop has a good view of Mt. Taal.
Jozer B — Google review
The museum was beautifully curated. Each floor's exhibit had its own unique story and you can see Taal from the 1st floor. I'd love to come back, especially if there's a show in the garden—perhaps basic sculpture, painting, or an open poetry reading.
Maia M — Google review
We love this place so much! We got inclined with Ramon Orlina's work seeing his art piece at the national museum. This gallery tells his story, family and love of the art. He is truly a Filipino pride. Kudos to you maestro Ramon, we love your artwork very much! Here are the art pieces we love most. Too bad my memory card got ditch and lost the photo of the Flaming passion wich is my favorite.
Skydrol — Google review
This is one of the best museums I have been. It displays gorgeous glass sculpture and a few paintings. I am amazed of how a glass can be made like those displays. I never knew glass sculpture before until I visited this place. If you love art, you would definitely love this place. And additionally, you can also see the great scenic view of Taal Volcano here

Sky Ranch Tagaytay is a 5-hectare amusement park that offers traditional rides for both kids and adults. It's an ideal family weekend destination with its Ride-All-You-Can promo, allowing visitors to enjoy every ride. The park also features multiple restaurants and food stalls to satisfy hunger pangs. Owned by SM Prime Holdings, it provides a fun and memorable experience for families visiting Tagaytay.
•Great experience •Visited last Friday, Aug. 29 and was not crowded •Short Staffed, had to seek attention of other staff to assist us in getting to our preferred ride. •All contents in tiktok are misleading, the ₱388 Ride all you can minus the discount is for ride access only and admission pass is not included which is ₱120/pax (price is subject to change) we were also charged for the admission of my 2yo who's under 3ft, so better set your expectations. •The rides are safe and well maintained. •Staffs are accomodating. •Food carts and restaurants are within the reach and mostly are affordable. •Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. •Safety Precautions ✔️ •Your family will definitely enjoy here too! 🌻
Britney — Google review
Our visit to Tagaytay Sky Ranch was an unforgettable experience! We arrived around 8 PM, and it was the perfect time to go since there were almost no lines at the entrance — quick and hassle-free. We didn’t avail of the unlimited ride package, so we just bought individual tickets at the ticket booth for the rides we wanted to try. The staff were accommodating and the ticketing process was smooth. The rides were absolutely thrilling! The Super Viking was definitely the highlight of the night — it was both terrifying and exhilarating, the kind of ride that makes your heart race and your stomach drop. You’ll definitely feel like you’re about to collapse when it reaches the top, but that’s what makes it so exciting! The cool Tagaytay breeze added to the overall vibe, making it even more enjoyable. The lights, the music, and the lively atmosphere made it feel like a mini carnival under the stars. Whether you’re going with friends, family, or your special someone, Sky Ranch is a great place to unwind, laugh, and make memories. It was truly a fun-filled night that we’ll never forget — definitely worth visiting again!
Jimbert C — Google review
Great view. Worth the trip. Having ticket booths everywhere makes the day seem longer and there is a "ride all you can" ticket but it's not well sign posted. If you are there for the day, I recommend you get one of these. Good souvenirs are here too.
Richard T — Google review
Sky Ranch Tagaytay, located along the Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway in Kaybagal South, is a compact 5-hectare amusement park blending thrilling rides with stunning panoramic views of Taal Lake and Volcano. It's a popular family-friendly spot for day trips from Manila, especially during weekends, holidays, or cooler months like November-February. Based on aggregated reviews from TripAdvisor, Yelp, Google, Klook, and recent social media buzz, I'd rate it 4.0 out of 5 stars. It's a solid "good" for casual fun and photo ops, but docked points for crowds, variable staff service, and some upcharges that can feel nickel-and-dimey. It's not a massive theme park like Enchanted Kingdom—think bite-sized excitement with a scenic twist, perfect for 2-3 hours rather than a full day. Pros: Epic Views: The star attraction is the 55m Sky Eye Ferris Wheel—riders get 360° panoramas of Taal Volcano, especially magical at sunset with cool breezes. Many call it "Instagram gold" and worth the trip alone. Ride Variety: 15+ attractions suit all ages, from kiddie rides (e.g., carousel) to adrenaline hits like Sky Cruiser (coaster), Sky Drop (freefall), and zipline. The Ride-All-You-Can (RAYAC) pass lets you hop on unlimited basics. Family Vibes: Kid-friendly with height minimums (e.g., 1m for most rides), plus games, stalls, and eateries (try bulalo or halo-halo). Groups of 10+ get discounts; birthdays are free entry (show ID). Accessibility: Easy 2-hour drive from Manila via SLEX; big parking lot (though it fills up). Open daily 9 AM-10 PM; no entrance fee—just pay for rides. Cons: Crowds & Waits: Weekends/holidays mean long lines (30-60 mins) and packed paths—arrive early or midweek to avoid. Some rides lack attendants, forcing waits in the sun. Extra Costs: RAYAC is PHP 550/adult (PHP 400/kid), but thrill rides like Sky Drop add PHP 150-250 each. Food/drinks are pricey (e.g., PHP 200 meals), and everything feels "a bit overpriced" per reviews. Staff & Maintenance: Hit-or-miss—some call them "friendly and helpful," others "unpleasant bots" or unresponsive. Occasional gripes about ride upkeep or weather closures (rainy season hits hard). Size Limits: Not huge, so it can feel repetitive after 2 hours; better as a "relay station" in a Tagaytay itinerary, not the main event. Tips for Your VisitBest Time: Weekdays or early mornings; avoid Holy Week crowds. Check weather—Tagaytay's chill (15-25°C) demands layers. Budget: PHP 1,000-2,000/person (RAYAC + food/snacks). Book via Klook for deals. Alternatives: If it's too crowded, try Puzzle Mansion or People's Park nearby for calmer views. Overall, Sky Ranch earns its rep as a Tagaytay must-do for light-hearted escapism.
Lope Q — Google review
We bought our tickets through StarDeals and got a discount for Ride-All-You Can. Though we didn't experienced all of the rides and attractions due to rain and thick fog, there are also other things to enjoy inside. The rides were extreme! Super Vikings was an unforgettable experience, a lot of people lined up to try this ride. There are also rides for kids and those who do not like extreme rides. The Express Train will tour you around Sky Ranch and they do not wait for other visitors to start the ride, even if it's just you or a small group, they will accommodate you.
LeZella C — Google review
Overall Rating of 3.75 Wait time: 4/5. Long wait time especially during weekend but during the weekday, it is lesser wait time Price:3/5 limited slot for ride all you can and you have to buy the ticket in advance online to avail the ride all you can. Otherwise, you have to pay per ride and it cost more. Rides: 3/5. The kids will enjoy the rides but if you are an adult looking for thrilling rides, then this is not for you. All of their rides are just chill rides and some are outdated. View: 5/5 good view especially if you will ride the sky eye since you can see the taal lake.
I M — Google review
Family has enjoyed it, a few people only when we visited on the weekday. We bought our ticket in advance and it was less hassle Rides though looks very old already, there are only 5 bumper cars working, most rides on unli pass wasn't available, but the view of the taal is indeed breath taking

Fresh food market
Located in Alfonso, Cavite, Mahogany Beef Market & Bulalohan is a bustling marketplace offering a variety of fresh produce and butchered beef. It's renowned for its bulalo, a hearty beef soup perfect for the chilly weather in Tagaytay. The market is a popular spot for visitors looking to enjoy an affordable and satisfying meal.
Very easy to get here from literally anywhere in Tagaytay. Jeepneys rock! It's 480 pes for 2-3 pax Bulalo, 900 for 5 pax. Open 24 hours, so it's good for a midnight warmer. You can ask for more meat or with the large knuckle. Bulalo is a must have in Tagaytay. Some say it's the volcanic ash that has altered the rass the cows eat making them extra flavourful
Paul P — Google review
It has a variety of choices. Our bulalo is good for 2 and 1 order of crispy tawilis. The bulalo soup is very good and the tawilis is too salty for me so u need to dip in vinegar. We went around 8pm so not much crowd and there are lots of shops to choose from. We chose Niezel’s.
Majrie — Google review
This is a good place if you’re looking to buy big, affordable beef cuts. The restaurants lined up here are pretty much one after another, and most of them offer the same dishes. When it comes to Bulalo, some spots serve it better than others. A few prioritize unlimited soup refills, but the trade-off is that the broth can end up tasting less beefy for sustainability. If you’re after the best Bulalo experience that Tagaytay is known for, this might not be the ideal spot. But if your main goal is to stock up on large, cheap beef cuts, then this is definitely the place to go.
Ley S — Google review
It's a new experience for me to eat bulalo at one of the many stalls on the 2nd floor of the beef market. Hot bulalo soup good for 3 normal eaters at a reasonable price. Place is okay para sa mga di maarte.
Emmanuel T — Google review
Even though it may seem a bit messy and unclean, the bustling public market in the heart of Tagaytay is a place where you can immerse yourself in the local culture. Tagaytay's soil is rich in volcanic elements that are suitable for farming. Major agricultural products include pineapple, banana, cacao, camote, and cassava. Pineapple is the representative fruit of Tagaytay, and there are many pineapple farms around the area. Vendors pile up their fresh produce and call you to bargain with them. The seafood section, where fish and shellfish are on display, shows the freshest catch of the day. The freshly slaughtered livestock section allows you to watch customers bargain for prices and select carefully selected cuts for their family meals. When you enter the flower market, you will see fragrant flowers in various colors. Tagaytay has many cattle ranches, so you can buy relatively good quality beef. In addition, there are shops selling dried fish, grains, and miscellaneous goods. Aside from fresh produce, Tagaytay Public Market also offers local delicacies and traditional cuisine. Sample freshly prepared street food, from barbecued skewers to rainbow-colored delicious kakanin (rice cakes). One of Tagaytay’s best delicacies, bulalo, sold in one corner of the market, is made from beef shanks and bone broth, simmered for hours to create a rich broth served with vegetables and rice. However, Chinese agricultural products that are not produced in the Philippines are also sold here. Be careful, not everything is produced locally. For a moment, you can feel the vibrant energy of the market and see the dynamic spirit of the Filipino people in the market.
Danny H — Google review
Mahogany Beef Market and Bulalohan was my very first stop during this trip to the Philippines, and it did not disappoint. We went to Martal’s stall and ordered their set meal, which included a regular bulalo (Filipino beef marrow stew), an order of tawilis (crispy freshwater sardines native to the Taal region), an order of chicharong bulaklak (deep-fried pork mesentery that is crunchy and savory), three cups of rice, and a pitcher of iced tea. We swapped the iced tea for a family-sized bottle of Coke Zero for an additional ₱20 (around $0.35 USD). The set was ₱1300 (about $22.50 USD), bringing our total to ₱1320 (roughly $22.85 USD). Flavor-wise, the bulalo was rich, beefy, and satisfying. We asked for more beef fat and tendons instead of just lean meat, and they were more than happy to accommodate. The broth was a little salty, but still very comforting and full of flavor. The tawilis was perfectly crispy and went so well with the bulalo and the chicharong bulaklak, which was golden and crunchy without being too greasy. The only thing I was not too thrilled about was the rice. It tasted like a lower quality grain, and as someone who eats rice regularly, it was easy to notice. That said, the overall experience was excellent. The servers were friendly and somehow attentive, even with the busy lunchtime crowd. Philippine markets are not always known for being the cleanest, but this place was a pleasant surprise. There was no strong smell of fish or meat and, thankfully, no wet floors. This will always be a priority stop whenever I visit the Philippines.

Where you can buy Batangas Beef which are good for dishes like bulalo, caldereta, bistek and tapa. If you wanna try some bulalo, you just go up to 2nd level and choose where to eat. You can also buy freshly grind barako coffee and cheap fruits.
Rodrigo P — Google review
A big marketplace. Besides the beef market, there is a market that sells fruits/coffee/local on the first floor and vegetables on the second floor. Fruits are really cheap here compared to Manila, but the vegetables are almost the same price as Manila. Also tried the bulalo and fried tawilis, its worth the price, will try from other shops next time.

Restaurant
Balay Dako is an airy and casual venue that offers traditional local fare and fusion cuisine, all while providing stunning views of Taal Lake. It's known for serving some of the best Filipino food in a picturesque setting. Located in Tagaytay, it's a popular spot for both locals and tourists looking to enjoy delicious meals with a view.
This was my best experience at a restaurant in the Philippines. Since I've been here. This place was awesome. The view was spectacular of the volcano and the mountains. The food was excellent. It's a first class five-star restaurant if you want my honest opinion. The service was great and if you want a great eating experience with things to do while you're there, this is the place to head to without a doubt.

They give you a QR code to scan into the wait list. Didn’t have to wait long. They have a mini store inside the restaurant. Make your little sauce with the chilis, calamansi juice, soy sauce, vinegar, and a splash of fish sauce. Eat the dishes with chilis, it’s on the oily/creamy side. - Binagoongan 4.4/5 Pork belly was yummy and flavorful. - Supgo Sarsa 4.1/5 Prawns were yummy, I just thought the dish lacked a bit of flavor. - Sinuteng Pusit 4.6/5 I thought the squids were yummy. It was weird they made the dish with the garlic peel. Don’t eat it, just the squids. Tender. - Buko Pie 3.4/5 Wasn’t too sweet, pastry wasn’t flakey or crunchy. The cream inside is delicious. Free parking in lot.
Ellen K — Google review
Bonus points for the astounding view, excellent service, and side shop to buy takeout goodies. Went for early lunch and got: - Kare Kare: Oxtail was stupendous - tender yet chewy, all around great texture. Generous amount of veggies. Would have liked the sauce to be thicker and have a stronger peanut taste. - Squid Sisig: Never had squid as sisig before and this was interesting. They did it well as it wasn't rubbery at all. Good portion size. - Garlic Rice: Good amount of garlic flakes, would have liked a stronger garlic undertone. - Halo Halo: The star was the two scoops of icecream. The rest of it was meh. A bit heavy handed on the ice. - Icecream: Got a scoop of the taho and it came with the classic syrup and boba. The icecream was smooth and the flavour came across strongly. Pricey but I guess you pay up for the ambiance. Go early as this place gets absolutely packed and frenzy. Explore the rest of Tagaytay while you're there.

Already many reviews of Balay Dako before I make mine, so I’ll make it swift. The ambience is nice. This place is perfect for a couple and definitely has a romantic vibe. The food is great, but the service is spectacular. Waitstaff went out of his way to entertain his guest and give that signature Filipino hospitality. Definitely made the experience unforgettable. As for the food, we ordered most of their best sellers. The bulalo was the best dish, best mixed with the caramelized onion. The broth is savory, and full of flavor and the meat is tender. Just that it was served less hot than what we would have liked. The waitstaff immediately gave us warm soup after. 5/5 stars. The tawilis had the right crisp, was not too salty while still having a tender texture inside. Perfect dipped in either vinegar or the sweet chili sauce. 5/5. The pinakbet took longer for us to appreciate. It did not have too much flavor at the beginning but improved as you ate. I think its becase we did not mix it first before serving it. It had a strong bagoong taste, and the vegetables were crisp. 3/5 The laing had a fresh leafy taste, probably because they used fresh leaves instead of typical dried ones. 4/5 As for the somewhat dissapointing last entry, the kare kare, it was just mid and offered no unexpected twist nor was it a standout. This is despite our eager waitstaff hyping it to us. It lacked peanut flavor for me in particular and had no other anything else going with it. I’ve had better elsewhere. 3/5. Bill came to about ₱1000 per person. Was it worth the detour? Well, my verdict is its nice if you consider the ambiance, but don’t expect too much if you are only focused on looking for good food. The rustic ambience will cost you a pretty penny for sure.

The food was delicious. We tried sinigang na pampano and miso, which were both quite tasty. Their kinilaw na tanguige was also a highlight. I preferred the maja dessert to the leche flan. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience with a nice ambiance.

The food we order like kare-kare is not hot as i was expected then after they re-heat it (i think they used microwave when heating food) we noticed one of the beef bone is missing, the calamares taste so bland, no pepper or salt etc. The pork caldereta can improve, Tortang talong is ok as well the dessert we order mais con hielo and puto bumbong.

One of the best dining experiences we’ve had during our visit to Tagaytay. Great food, and our server’s kindness and attentiveness really stood out. Thank you Nevin! Also the way they packed our leftovers were with utmost care. We will surely be back :)

Thai restaurant
Lime and Basil Thai Restaurant is a popular dining spot in Tagaytay, known for its fresh and vibrant atmosphere as well as its delectable Thai cuisine. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including the must-try Yam Som O and Kaeng Deng Kha Mao. With its farm-to-table concept, Lime and Basil incorporates fresh ingredients from their own herb and vegetable gardens into their dishes. Whether you're a vegetarian or simply craving Asian flavors, this restaurant is a great choice.
Second time going here and still didn't disappoint. The ambiance is perfect, the food is really good. The thai papaya salad was exquisite, although it is spicy. If you have low tolerance to spicy food, be careful and always ask the staff. The thai iced tea is also good. Everything is good even their dipping sauce for the cracklings, some dish need more galanggal and kaffir leaves though. The staffs are nice and attentive. They can really brag being Tatler's best. Parking is plentiful, but beware if you are using low clearance cars, I hope they fix that elevated ground.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Sigrid Sarmiento's Lime and Basil in Alfonso, Cavite. Before they also had a branch in Tagaytay Highlands but closed it down already. They maintained their Okada and Baguio presence as of this writing. Recognized by Tatler Asia as one of Philippines' best restaurants, it certainly lived up to this acclaim. Food - 5*, being a group of 8 with voracious but discriminating appetites, we ordered some of the dishes L&B is known for. We started with Tom Yum Gai (chicken, ₱610), Pomelo Salad (₱430), Fresh Spring Rolls (₱350), Pad Thai (₱390), Crispy Pork Red Curry (₱550), Pandan Chicken (₱510) and Pineapple Fried Rice with Thai Sausage (₱490). For dessert, we had Tako (₱260) and Mango Sticky Rice (₱330). For our drinks, we had Thai Iced Tea (₱540 for 3), Thai Iced Coffee (₱160), Coconut Shake (₱150), Tamarind Shake (₱150), White Mocha (₱150), Cappuccino (₱150), Caramel Macchiato (₱180) and Black Americano (₱110). Everything was delicious but the dishes I could not forget were the Crispy Pork Red Curry and the Pineapple Fried Rice with Thai Sausage. Service -5*, top notch, our attentive server, Erick guided us through the menu and orchestrated the arrival of food to accommodate all guests. Atmosphere - 5*, laid back, garden vacation vibe Parking - 4*, street parking and inside the compound

Visited on a Sunday afternoon and surprisingly there was no waiting time and we were seated immediately. Food was great, everything tasted fresh! Pineapple fried rice is a must try!! They have generous portions for everything and still tasted good even after bringing them home. Staff were very attentive and polite.

Seems like the cook never visited Thailand to taste their cuisine. Most of the food taste way off. Suggest the staff visit Bangkok to taste. Improvement needed. Cant understand resto being award winner.

One of the best restaurants not just in Tagaytay but in the entire country. Away from Tagaytay restaurant alley but worth the drive. Service and food quality is consistent throughout this years. Serving is aplenty and diverse food choices. Pineapple fried rice, fresh spring rolls, salted egg chicken, pomelo salad and pad see iew a must try. Parking is available and they have a large lot at the back that can accommodate dozens of cars.
Rico S — Google review
Total disappointment. Don’t be fooled by the good reviews — this is NOT authentic Thai food at all. Almost everything we ordered was bad. After just a few bites, we didn’t even want to continue eating. The rice was awful, like it was made from cheap, low-quality grains. The tofu curry tasted off, almost spoiled. The so-called “panda chicken” was hard and tough, like it had just been reheated from yesterday. Out of the 12 dishes we ordered, only the Pad Thai, spring rolls, and chicken skewers were somewhat decent. Everything else was extremely bad. Definitely never coming back.

Authentic taste of the Thailand cuisine, presented with a twist. Generous amount to share with family or friends. Garden ambience and thematic interiors, with enough parking slots at the back of the complex.

Update 09/30/25 I would like to clarify the confusion: 1. My original review was mistakenly posted under Lime and Basil Tagaytay Highlands. However, upon checking Google, that branch is permanently closed. This is why I updated my review here—because this was the actual branch where we dined. 2. We came in as walk-in customers, not by reservation. Your Google listing indicated that walk-ins are accepted, which is why we went directly. This explains why you will not find my name on your reservation or registration list. 3. My review was not “copy-pasted” without reason. It was transferred here to reflect the correct branch where our experience happened. The feedback I shared is accurate and based on our actual visit. Please note that under the Consumer Act and online review policies, customers have the right to share truthful accounts of their experiences. My review was written in good faith and with the intention of informing other potential diners. I trust this clarifies the situation. Previous review: We had a very disappointing experience yesterday. Some dishes on the menu are labeled as vegan, best-seller, new, or spicy, with options like mild, regular, and spicy. We ordered the crispy pork krapao, krapao nua, pad thai, and another dish that looked like fried spring rolls (I can't remember the name). The staff took down our order without asking about the spice level, so we assumed the food we ordered was not spicy. When the food arrived, the first dish, crispy pork krapao (which was meant for my son), looked like it had chili peppers. I took a small bite to check, and it was very spicy! I asked the staff if they had brought the wrong dish, but they confirmed it was indeed our order. I pointed out that the crispy pork krapao wasn't labeled as spicy on the menu, which was why we ordered it. Then the krapao nua arrived, which also wasn't labeled as spicy on the menu, yet it, too, had chili peppers and was very spicy. I expressed my concern to the staff, saying that the menu was misleading. They admitted it was their mistake but didn't offer us any options to change our order because it would have come out of the staff's pay. We wouldn't recommend this restaurant, especially if you're new to it or don't enjoy spicy food.

Fine dining restaurant
Antonio's Restaurant is a popular dining spot located in Tagaytay, Cavite. The restaurant offers a charming al-fresco area and has a cozy vibe with plenty of windows allowing natural light to filter in. It is pet-friendly, welcoming vaccinated pets that are well-behaved and leashed or in carriers. The menu features delectable dishes such as the Smoked Salmon Benedict and Fresh Corned Beef with Provencale Sauce, both highly recommended options.
Dining at Antonio's was an unforgettable experience. The food was of top-notch quality—easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, rich in flavor, and beautifully presented. The place itself was just as impressive—elegant, serene, and truly world-class. From the ambiance to the impeccable service, Antonio's delivered excellence at every level. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a refined and memorable dining experience.

Had dinner with family and our first time at this place. Had a slight drizzle that night, but it did not hamper our appreciation of the place. The food (salad, soup, drinks, entree and dessert) served were excellent. We all enjoyed our food and continued conversing our dinning experience on our way home. Our excellent dining experience won't be complete without the security staff, waitstaff (Anthony and crew) and chef/cooks who prepared our meal, working that night ✨✨

What literally felt like a venture into the jungle down a small road, Antonio’s Restaurant in Tagaytay City turns out to be a renowned fine-dining destination in the Philippines, celebrated for its exquisite cuisine, elegant ambiance, and is a short distance from Taal Volcano. Antonio’s is a fusion of Filipino, Spanish, and European flavors with an emphasis on high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. Set in a garden-style setting with lush greenery and open-air dining, Antonio’s is sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere with impeccable service and attention to detail.

It was supposed to a dinner advance reservation but we were told a day before our arrival that theyre not available on the date we chose. Anyway, were glad we had a lunch instead. It was an unforgetable experience of service, atmosphere and food. 5* for the overall experience. Definitely coming back ☺️

One thing I can say, this the best beef wellington in town! You must experience Antonio's (CABANA). It will always be part of your Tagaytay trips 👌✨️

This restaurant is a fantastic choice for a wedding party. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable celebration. From the moment you go inside the gates, you can already see part of the beautiful garden that surrounds the house where the restaurant stands. It’s rustic yet modern in style that offer every luxury the moment you step in. We ordered their dry aged steak course that came with appetizers and dessert. Each dish was prepared with care. The starters are a good gauge of how good the entire meal will go. The salads were vibrant and fresh. The meat was cooked perfectly and sauces perfectly complimented the steak depending on your preference. The desserts are absolutely delicious, light, not too sweet but subtle and satisfying. The service was excellent. Consistent through the times we’ve visited.

Nestled on the border of Tagaytay and Alfonso, Marcia Adams' Restaurant exudes a Tuscany-like ambiance with its rustic charm and earthy color palette. The dining area features exposed stone walls and terracotta tiles, reminiscent of an Italian countryside setting. For a breathtaking view, guests can reserve the Greek-inspired Sunset Lounge, offering a cozy deck overlooking the picturesque Tagaytay ridge for an unforgettable sunset experience.
We had our very intimate wedding here. From booking to the actual event, everything went smoothly. The staff were approachable and attentive to details. Also courteous. Food was delicious. Steak was well seasoned and cooked to desired doneness. Other meats were also well seasoned. Desserts were perfect. Light with the right amount of sweetness. Will surely be back

This is better than a 3 star but not worthy of a 4 star - so 3.5 is about right There is parking, but it does seem quite limited for the amount of covers that they have. The restaurant seems like a converted building and is laid out in what seems a Mediterranean style. Once parked - be careful the surface is not level and one of our party fell over and was injured - although the staff did help to treat the injuries. Walking down to the restaurant area , whilst atmospheric it is steep, uneven and looks like it as a green surface so would not like to walk down it if wet. The washrooms is a single room with a shower head and was not the cleanest I have visited, but better than some I have visited. The menu is complicated, but thankfully the staff explained it. You choose a main meal, then have a choice of a starter and sweet (but they are limited and if you want other choices you have to pay extra). The menu prices are a little high and the food could have been better. The setting and layout is without doubt the best part of the visit and worth the visit - maybe you are paying for this. WOULD I RECOMMEND? - If you are in the area - yes make the effort. WOULD I RETURN? - Possibly yes I would, but there would be other choices that are more prominent.

First, they have a minimum of 750 pesos per pax. Both salads were good but doesnt taste any different. Beef kebab was done according to my preference (med rare) and was really tender and flavorful Corsican beef stew was also tender, had the right amount of flavor except for the overpowering bay leaf. Strawberry yogurt tasted more like just ice cream. Nothing special On the other hand, lavander creme brulee was great. Right creaminess and kick of that lavender, more like citronella aroma. Overall, order the beef kebab

We were quite disappointed with our recent experience because we couldn’t fully enjoy the restaurant due to a wedding ceremony and reception happening during our visit. We really liked our first time dining here last year, so we decided to come back for my birthday. Unfortunately, upon entering, we were seated in a dimly lit section of the restaurant, which didn’t match the usual cozy and relaxing vibe we loved before. What was supposed to be a peaceful birthday lunch turned into a noisy one, as we could hear the entire wedding program the whole time. We hope they avoid accepting regular dining reservations when there’s a private event, because it really affects the overall experience for other guests. To add to that, their menu on social media was not updated. I even asked for their menu earlier this week, and when we arrived, the prices were higher than what was presented online. It would be much better if their pricing was accurate and consistent across platforms. Pro tip: Ask ahead if there’s any scheduled event on the day of your visit so you won’t go through the same situation. On a positive note, the food was still good and the staff remained attentive to walk-in customers. We appreciate that effort despite the circumstances.

This was for my sisteraka's bday celeb and for 5 pax. Food - The servers will give you a menu and explain the 3 course meal that they offer. Can share naman with everyone disclaimer lang. For our mains, we had italian porkchop (Superb, savory, Ate's order generous portion size, the porkchop can feed two pax, no picture tho), Blue Marlin Kebab (I guess? Sis BF's order, Well-marinated, so far, my favorite out of all the mains we ordered), Bacon and beef kebab (I guess, My lil sisterakas order, medium cooked, it was tender and awesome as well comes with rice and yogurt sauce?), Carbonara with baked mussels (My order, we had to have pasta sa order, so I did, it was creamy, superb taste too!), lastly, Aromatic Pork (My lil bro's order, hint of sweetness is there, comes with pickled pineapples and onions I think, smokey and flavorful, loved it too!) Their main course orders come with rice. For our appetizers, we had the dips, baba ganoush for me and my ate's BF, Hummus for my Lil bro (both comes with semi toasted pita), tzatzika for my lil sis (comes green nacho chips?), and tomato salsa for my ate (comes with focaccia bread that's also their complimentary bread). On the table they have the olive oil and balsamic so you can create your own dip for the complimentary bread. For the desserts, my ate, lil sis and ate's BF ordered panna cotta with lime sauce. Panna cotta was not overly sweet which is good, the lime sauce was also good, the sourness and hunt of sweetness compliments the panna cotta. I ordered lavender creme brulee, it was not overly sweet, the creme brulee was good as well. My lil bro order fried bananas with chocolate dip. It was normal, the chocolate dip was good and a lil bit on the sweet side. It's 5 out of 5 for all our orders, (cannot find any flaws). Btw, salads and soups can replace the dip appetizers, however, there's an additional charge. The price of the 3 course meal will depend on the mains you will choose. (Sadly, I forgot to take a pic of the menu and the italian porkchop. Lol always hungry.) Service - the servers were attentive and proactive with our needs, they interact as well. Atmosphere - we went there at 10am, so opening talaga, ate said that a lot of peepz go there from merienda to dinner cause of the sunset and the chandeliers and stuff. If you're fond of nature, the atmosphere is for you. Since summer ito, may pagkamainit lg but they have fans to compensate the heat. Babalikan ba? YES!

Had an amazing dinner at Marcia Adams! The place is super charming—like eating in a garden. It felt really peaceful and cozy, perfect for a chill dinner. We ordered the Certified Angus Steak with Truffle Butter and it was sooo good! Super tender, juicy, and the truffle butter added so much flavor. The roasted potatoes and veggies on the side were cooked just right. I also tried their pasta with grilled salmon—creamy, garlicky, and the salmon was perfectly grilled. We started with the port wine dip and pita—really tasty and something different. For dessert, the Lavender Crème Brulee was light and fragrant, and the Panna Cotta with Lemon Sauce was so refreshing and not too sweet. Also had their soup of the day, which was creamy and comforting—great way to start the meal. Food is a bit pricey, but the quality, taste, and ambiance make it worth it. Staff were friendly and service was smooth. Definitely one of my favorite food spots in Tagaytay.

Beautiful facades and greenery in this restaurant. When coming here be prepared to order an entrée that comes with appetizer and sides. Splurge on the salad instead of getting dips. The best thing to order is the Italian porkchop. I found the Sicilian beef stew underwhelming and could be softer. Service is good.

My mom, my twin sister, and I went here for our birthday lunch on August 17th. It was a place we’d been excited to try. Honestly, we weren’t really after the food, it was more about the ambiance, which we thought was perfect for celebrating our 30th birthday. The place itself was nice, and I really enjoyed the food, especially their Italian Pork Chop. However, I was a bit disappointed with how they handled our request. My sister asked if we could be moved to a less crowded table so we’d have more space to take photos. While they were setting it up, I overheard some gossip between two staff members, followed by a laugh, and I had a strong feeling they were talking about us. One of them, a woman, looked annoyed and didn’t seem very friendly when she brought the glasses to our table. I couldn’t help but feel like she saw us as entitled just for asking to be moved to a more secluded spot. But the moment she noticed me looking at her, her face changed, and she threw on a big, obviously fake smile. I have a feeling she’d remember me, just in case she ever comes across this. I was the one wearing a face mask and round glasses. Out of all the places we could have gone, we chose your restaurant. It was our 30th birthday, a very special occasion, and we wanted to celebrate it with you. Our simple request and the table preparation didn’t even take five minutes, yet we traveled for hours from Manila just to get here. Plus, we didn’t come just to take pictures, we paid for our meal. Please teach your staff to be kind and respectful to customers. On a positive note, the man with the tribal band tattoo on his arm was very accommodating and nice throughout our visit. It was the woman working with him who wasn’t very friendly toward us.

Taza Fresh Table, located in Tagaytay's Taal Vista Hotel, offers a diverse menu of international cuisines. The restaurant is known for its use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients to create flavorful dishes. Guests can enjoy an upscale dining experience with options like Tomahawk Pork Chops or Ribeye Steak paired with a bottle of Moet et Chandon.
This is Taal Vista Hotel's high end restaurant. They pride themselves for having the freshest ingredients on their dishes and as organic as possible. I can really say that they should be really proud since the dishes that we ate are indeed refreshingly delicious. The place has a laidback atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy the foods being served. Highly recommended are their meat dishes, and best paired with their fresh juices.

Taza Fresh Table offers a cozy dining experience in Tagaytay, though it lacks a view of Taal Lake—a bit of a missed opportunity given the location. The menu showcases some interesting options, and while the food is enjoyable, it doesn’t quite stand out as exceptional. The Squid Ink and Cheesy Pasta was a highlight, with a good balance of flavors. However, the Pork, promoted as a best-seller, impressed more with its presentation than its seasoning, which felt fairly standard. Service was attentive and efficient, adding to a pleasant dining experience overall. Taza Fresh Table is a nice choice if you’re in the area, though the food may appeal more to those seeking straightforward flavors rather than bold culinary surprises.

Tucked away in an alcove between the main wing and the expansion wing of Taal Vista Hotel, Taza is a restaurant you definitely want to try if you're in the area. It's quite pricey - as it's a hotel restaurant - but the food is definitely worth the price. I particularly liked their Chicken Liver in Garlic Mezze. It's not the ground up mezze you'd expect, but the flavor notes in this simple dish will surprise you!
Booie M — Google review
Dining at Taza Fresh Table on a cool Tagaytay evening felt like discovering a hidden culinary gem. The experience began with a mezze spread that awakened our palates - the hummus was ethereally smooth with just the right nutty undertones, while the babaganoush delivered that perfect smoky depth that makes eggplant shine. The chorizo arrived sizzling in a bath of golden garlic oil, its richness begging to be sopped up with their fresh, warm pita. But the true revelation was the sautéed liver - transformed by the garlic confit into something sublime, with a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness that defied expectations. Then came the showstopper: a magnificent tomahawk pork chop with a glorious caramelized crust giving way to juicy, flavorful meat. The accompanying garlic confit added just the right luxurious touch. We ended our feast with their molten chocolate cake - a warm, oozing masterpiece that provided the perfect sweet finale to our Mediterranean journey. Taza Fresh Table delivers not just a meal, but a memorable dining experience where every dish tells a story of flavor and craftsmanship. That pork chop alone is worth the drive to Tagaytay. Don’t miss. The tomahawk pork chop and the molten chocolate cake—trust us, you’ll thank yourself later.

Taza was closed but some of their menu was available through the Veranda. The view was nice and the seating was adequately spaced following COVID protocols. We ordered their Hangar steak, pizza, and cauli mash which were good. There wasn't anything spectacular for the price and the serving time was slow even if we went past lunch time. Have to give props to the head waiter who helped fix the steak doneness.

Food was really good! The wagyu burger was delicious, & even the onion rings and wedges were lovely. But the tomahawk porkchop was delicious and well prepared... coupled with the cauliflower mash and an a side order of coconut rice, it was splendid! Service was also quite good.

Horrible service, staff were inattentive despite us being the only customers at 6 pm. Overpriced dishes. House fly in wine, replaced, only one selection of wine in stock. Steak was too tough. Doors were closed with sacks barricading the door as if they didnt want people to come in. Never come here.
