Botanical garden
The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens spans over 1,000 acres of desert ecosystem and features a bighorn sheep enclosure along with small animal exhibits. It's located near various attractions such as Hovley Soccer Park, Desert Willow Golf Resort, and Civic Center Park. Visitors can enjoy feeding giraffes at the zoo, which is renowned as one of the top zoos in the country.
So beautiful! There’s so many different animals from all over the world. I think they did amazing with their conservation message. I was pleasantly surprised with how much space the animals had. It almost made me happy that I couldn’t see some of them. We were able to see keepers do training and talk with them as well. Overall super fun place!

A hot 90° but pleasant trip to the Living Desert zoo & Gardens. It was off season on a Tuesday afternoon, so it wasn't crowded at all. We were able to take our time. I really enjoyed their model trains and miniature city! Learn names of the plants & Cacti. The big cats are beautiful. Visited the nutrition center and vet hospital. We saw a bunch of baby tortoise, the 2 new super cute baby giraffe, 2 wallaby with joeys in their pouches. And a new comer, a badger. There was a ton of construction happening, so I'll have to come back when that's finished to see the new lion exhibit and during the season when its bustling! Super friendly staff and feed the giraffe.

Visited here with my boyfriend, mom and toddler. We’re from out of town and were skeptical about spending $40 each to get in, but I’m so glad we did. We spent a couple hours there and easily could have spent some extra time there. They let you feed the giraffes which I thought was so cool and probably the highlight for me. They just had babies in September so that was also really cool. We were there at just the right time as they just added an exhibit for monkeys. I love me some monkeys. They also recently added a splash pad for kids to play at and that was a great little stop to cool down for my little one. I loved how open the exhibits were and how much extra space the animals had comparative to some of the other zoos I’ve been to. Highly recommend checking this zoo out.

This place is absolutely amazing. You can tell this is a sanctuary for animals and not a place where they are put on display. The staff care so much for these animals and it shows. My husband and I visit every year and we also love to come for the holiday light fest they have at night during late November through December. It’s such a gorgeous place to visit and walk through. Literally fun for all ages. I fed the giraffes this time too and it was so awesome to be so up close with them. You can also be up close with the wallaby’s in their enclosure and watch them hop around which was so fun.

We found this on our visit to Palm Springs and decided to take a couple hours out of our day and go. Ticketing was very easy and there was no line to speak of. Loved the way the grounds were laid out and the different fauna and flora, the towering palm trees, the agaves, aloes and the different types of desert plant life. We were surprised to see as many active animals as we did and the number of animals was impressive. The gentleman at the rhino exhibit took his time and gave us lots of info on the rhino’s. Fun and informative way to spend a coupe hours while in the Palm Springs area.

Excellent place for all ages! Great interactions with the animals and staff. Plenty of places to eat or bring your own food and drink. Handicap accessible for a majority of the park. There are several unpaved trails that take you through the botanical cactus deserts. There is also a beginner half mile hiking trail accessible inside the park. Plenty of trees for shade while walking around the park. plenty if chairs and benches throughout the park. You could stay there all day and relax watching the animals. Will definitely make the trip to visit again!

We were there for the first time this morning. What a great zoo! It is extremely clean and well organized. The animal enclosures and habitats were great. The volunteer man who was working at the bobcat exhibit was excellent! He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Those two bobcats we're adorable. We will definitely be back!

Golf course
Event venue
Desert Willow Golf Resort, located in Palm Desert near Palm Springs, offers two top-rated golf courses: the challenging Firecliff Course and the more relaxed Mountain View Course. The resort also features a clubhouse, outdoor dining areas, and event spaces. Additionally, it is home to the Palm Desert Golf Academy for those looking to improve their skills.
We had an incredible experience and are so fortunate to have our wedding here this past fall. We kicked off the weekend with a round of golf on Friday—the course was beautiful, and the pro shop (shout out to Brian and Jason!) was extremely accommodating. Saturday went off without a hitch. The ceremony on the event lawn was picture-perfect, followed by a lovely cocktail hour on the Palm Desert Terrace. Dinner and dancing on the Lakeview Terrace made for an unforgettable evening. Everything was seamless and beautifully coordinated! Robbie, (Coordinator/Director of Catering Sales) was truly a magician—her care, attention, and patience over months of planning made all the difference, and she ensured day of unfolded perfectly. Harry, the Banquet Manager, kept every transition between events smooth and effortless, so we could simply enjoy every moment. Thanks to the whole team, we appreciate all of you!

Great golf course! We'll maintained. Awesome, friendly staff. The putting greens were in excellent condition. The driving range was in great shape as well.

What a great course!! Conditions were excellent!! All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!!

Played course on 15 June 2025. Course staff is very friendly and helpful. From the cart guys, marshall, pro shop, and diner. Everyone was top tier. The course has complimentary range balls, good practice greens, and a nice chipping area. The course itself conditions are great also. Tee boxes level, fairways cut nicely, and greens well maintained. These greens roll and roll FAST. The only critique I could say is the sand in the bunkers. They don't have much at all and definitely need more but is not a reason to give this course less than 5 stars. The marshall even came around with cold towels to keep us cool. Five star treatment and service!!! They treated our G.O.A.L. golf group with class. Definitely recommend this course to all and I will be back. THE COURSE IS CHALLENGING, THIS IS YOUR WARNING!!

Fantastic experience on Fireclif course. Good variety of holes with really cool backdrops (foliage, palms, water) on a lot of approach shots. We played in 4h, entire course was in great shape with bathroom and water stations every 3-4 holes. Greens are very reasonable, some movement to keep you focused and receptive to good shots, they're not tabletop fast which is appreciated.

We recently celebrated my parents’ afternoon wedding reception at the Desert Willow Golf Club restaurant, and it was such a beautiful and memorable experience. The setting was incredible, sweeping desert views, and an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere that made the day feel extra special. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Staff were attentive, kind, and genuinely helpful in making sure every guest felt comfortable and taken care of. The food was equally impressive, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. From appetizers to dessert, every bite was a hit with our guests. If you’re looking for a venue that blends great food, top-notch service, and breathtaking views, I highly recommend Desert Willow. It was the perfect place to celebrate such an important family moment, and we’re so grateful for the hospitality we received.

Excited to leave a 5-star review for Dessert Willow. Firecliff was amazing, with a great layout and ideal course conditions. But what stood out more than anything was the amazing customer experience. Ryan accommodated our videographer, miraculously found us morning tee times on short notice, and made us feel like a priority. After the rounds, Sydney was a joy to chat with as he polished our clubs after the round. Desert willow will definitely be a place we come back to for our yearly Palm Springs golf trip. Thank you, Ryan, for the 6:50 tee times!!
Ahmad K — Google review
I can't say enough about this course, and the staff at Desert Willow. Me and my brothers flew from across the country to play here, and we were met with the kindest and most accommodating staff I've ever witnessed. Ryan is an all-star. He exemplified what top notch customer service is meant to be. I'm already looking forward to our next golf trip here. Anyone searching for a 5-star golf experience in Palm Springs, look no further than Desert Willow.

Performing arts theater
Concerts & Shows
Nestled among palm trees, the McCallum Theatre is a stunning venue with multiple levels for music and theater performances. Located on the College of the Desert campus, it hosts an eclectic range of events, from Broadway productions to film screenings and lectures. The theater has welcomed renowned entertainers like Paul Anka and Barry Manilow, as well as National Geographic presentations and Broadway shows like The Book of Mormon.
Came to see Rhythm India: Bollywood and Beyond. We were 7 rows back from the stage, so we had great views. It was a fantastic show, with very talented performers. The staff is very helpful in finding your way to your seat, and bathrooms were clean and easy to get to. The lobby and the building exterior is classy. For those who want an alcoholic beverage, you can preorder and pay for a drink to be picked up during intermission, and it will be waiting at the bar with your name on it-so you can avoid the long lines. Valet parking is available. It’s a wonderful venue for an evening of live entertainment.

Be careful when using a promo code on their website. It is common practice everywhere (but not with their website) to put your tickets in the cart first, then enter a promo code. It is well known that a promo code will be rejected if you do not have items in your cart. Nowhere on their website does it say to enter a promo code FIRST before adding seat selection or you will NOT be able to get your discount, nor did it tell me the promo code would not be used. It showed my promo code accepted at the top. So I made my purchase and the discount was not given, which was corrected by staff later. I called the business phone number and spoke to a female ticket employee. She was not helpful even though I explained that it excepted the promo code. Another staff member helped me later. This review is to help others, since it's not noted on their platform.

We had mobile tickets to see the Grinch that stole Christmas on November 2, 2025. When we arrived 45 minutes before the show, we were advised they were unable to scan our mobile tickets and would have to get in line which was around the block to get a paper ticket. We both have mobility issues so we had to wait until the line was short enough to proceed. As we stood in line way past show time, we were motioned in without a paper ticket after an employee wrote down our mobile ticket number. Once we got in to our box seats we had missed 30 minutes of the show that started on time even though many off us were still outside waiting to get in. As a result of this mess, we found two people in our seats as we arrived. They were seated in seats one and two which is totally obstructed to the stage. We had three and four. These folks figured we weren't coming and decided to take our seats. They moved. Very disappointed in McCallum. They relied on technology to expedite arrivals but not prepared to regroup when their scanners were inoperable.

A lovely building with good acoustics. However, there is no center aisle, so we were continuously standing up so people could get to their seats. Parking was very convenient.
Ann W — Google review
Not a bad seat in the house! Barry Manilow exceeded expectations! The parking, the scenery, the ambiance, the staff . . . All impeccable! Do be cognizant of where restrooms are located. And elevators are a bit small for a venue in an area with a huge senior clientele. If you have seats in the last row, please bring a scarf. The air vents blow a bit strong up there! Will go back for more!
Jan L — Google review
The most beautiful environment. The box seats were incredible, especially at the price point. The hospitality was amazing, staff was very friendly and accommodating. Extremely Covid conscious. Easy parking. We saw an intimate night with David Foster and were floored by not only the talent, show, crowd engagement and music, but the lighting, sound and overall production quality. If you can see anything here, do it. Could not recommend more.

Water & Amusement Parks
The Palm Desert Aquatic Center is a popular destination featuring three pools, slides, diving boards, and play areas for both kids and adults. It offers fitness classes and concessions for visitors. The center is an ideal spot to beat the heat during the summer months when temperatures soar above 100 degrees. Whether you're looking to swim laps, have fun with the family, or simply cool off, this aquatic center provides a perfect solution.
An Absolute Gem of an Aquatic Center! We had such a fantastic time here! The first thing we noticed was how spotlessly clean everything was—from the locker rooms to the pool deck. It really makes a difference and shows how much pride the staff takes in maintaining the space. The pools were NOT crystal clear, but the water temperature was perfect, and the lifeguards were friendly and attentive. There were areas for both serious swimmers and families just looking to splash around, which made it enjoyable for everyone in our group. Bonus points for the fun slides, plenty of seating, and a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. You can tell this place is well-run and loved by the community. Can’t wait to come back—fun, clean, and just what we needed! 🏊‍♀️💦🌟

I was on vacation in early October and it was still over a hundred degrees every day I was there. To save money I avoided getting a hotel and slept in my van instead. Luckily I found this place and was able to cool down and get a shower. Understandably it's a popular place but there was still a lane available after getting changed so I could stretch and move my body and swim laps. As soon as I got there the staff was extremely professional and friendly. The cost to get in was reasonable. The facility is very clean and that water felt incredible. I even stood under a water fall in the kid's section and let the water beat down on me as if it were massaging my neck and shoulders. Overall a very pleasant experience and if I find myself in that part of California again I'd love to go back. The water slide opened right as I was leaving so unfortunately I wasn't able to enjoy that. Another reason to go back I guess. I love aquatic centers, thanks for being there and open, I appreciate it!

Got there at 11:30 and pool water was already cloudy so I suggest getting there earlier maybe 🤔 It's cheaper to bring in your own stuff, because when I was in line for a drink and asked for a refill they said I had to wait in the long line again after I already did... Ordered some hot food at the cafe because it smelled really good from other people eating from there and I started eating some waffle cut fries and they were not cooked all the way and also my friend that I went with said the same... It's adorable but a busy place that should be managed a lil bit better 🥲
Kaylyn D — Google review
This pool looked dirty. We gave it the benefit of the doubt that the bottom was just stained, somehow. We got in, and the water was warm. We got on a slide, and water went in my mouth tasted like beach water. 🤢 I spoke to a worker and was told they just work there and have no control over whether the pool stays open or closed. This person also confirmed they've had maintenance issues all around. I went swimming on a Saturday come Monday morning. I was feeling nauseous and sick. I was also told I would need to contact the city to explain to them so they could possibly shut down the pool. We only stayed 30 minutes and left as fast as we can.

It has become less about Community and much more Commercial. Previous management was open 5am for lap swim, till 7pm pm most days. Now they only allow lap swim a few days. Open at 9am close by 3:45. No Community friendly. And Yet charge Twice as much. A petition needs to be started to have them correct this.

One of the best public outdoor pools I ever been to! New, spacious and clean facilities, reasonable price ($4 for locals and $6 for visitors). You can also rent a lock for $1. I absolutely enjoy my swim at this pool. If you don't have a pool to use at your home or hotel, then this is your place! The Civic Park next to the pool is also a nice place to hang out!

I love this place! We went to this place 2 times already. Both times were fun! My daughters loved to be here and they really enjoyed the water slides and pools.

This pool is in a fantastic location. The local rec center is very close by, but the pool itself has three great swimming pools, the kids play area, and lap planes as well. The pool is well-maintained, covered with lifeguards, and is always fairly clean. There is plenty of parking nearby in the shade of the palm trees, and the entry fees are fairly reasonable.

Brunch restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant Palm Desert area, Wilma & Frieda's Cafe is a delightful destination for breakfast, brunch, and lunch enthusiasts. This bustling eatery specializes in updated comfort food classics that are sure to satisfy any palate. Guests can indulge in customizable omelettes, fluffy pancakes, and decadent Belgian waffles—all favorites among visitors. The cafe’s eclectic decor adds to its charm, while the inviting patio offers a lovely setting to enjoy your meal amidst the desert breeze.
My wife and I decided to try Wilmer and Frieda in Palm Desert after spotting it as the top-rated spot on Yelp, and it totally lived up to the hype! We went for the short rib eggs Benedict and some toast, and both were absolutely fantastic. The short rib was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the eggs Benedict had a rich, flavorful hollandaise that made every bite perfect. The toast was crispy and buttery—simple but spot-on. We also heard from the staff that the place was part of a racetrack diner back in the ‘50s, which gave it a cool, nostalgic charm. They’ve got a tempting display of baked goods, but we were too stuffed to try them this time. The service was outstanding—our server was warm, attentive, and made the whole meal even better. It’s located inside a mall, which we weren’t sure about at first, but it’s easy to find, and parking was no issue at all. We’re already planning our next trip back! If you’re in Palm Desert, this place is a must-visit.

Why do people love this place so much? It's not bad, but it sure isn't worth the hype and the wait times. There are so many other, truly better breakfast places in the area. I tried the short ribs Benedict and it was very disappointing. The beef was not flavorful, not soft and moist, and it was also a very small serving of beef. I figured I'd try another entrée because I can eat and I wanted to give the place a fair shot. I had an omelet and it was honestly not great. The service was good enough, but my coffee cup was empty most of the meal. Again, its not bad, but I'll never go back based off the wait time alone.

Yum yum yum!! Had the Chilaquiles and hubby got the breakfast meatloaf. Mine looked a little plain when came out but man it was very flavorful and filling. They don’t skimp that’s for sure. Delicious. Thank you. :-)

Nice establishment with outdoor seating. We sat for breakfast and ordered the chile verde with eggs, Meany with a salad, and a yogurt with granola. The Bloody Mary was well stacked, but I felt it needed slightly more alcohol. Great place to eatn I recommend for great service, good plate options and a nice location.

This breakfast was out of this world delicious!! Wow! We went on the way to the living desert zoo, and I couldn’t have been happier with our meal. We had biscuits and gravy, eggs Benedict, and the churro waffles. Everything was delicious and the portions were super. The staff was very friendly and accommodating for our family with three young children! We don’t live close by, but we will absolutely be going back on our next trip to the desert!!

Arrived for brunch and sat inside which is a little crammed but plus is that it’s not absolutely freezing inside especially in the summer. Had a cappuccino and a latte which they use koffi both average, had the Bloody Mary which was just ok they claimed to have made their own mix but it was pretty bland and watery probably would not get that again especially for the price. Meals we got the Christmas enchiladas which were good and the short rip Benedict also good a lot of meat in that plus shared a churro waffle with mixed berries we were stuffed but ate 2/3 of the waffle it was a nice treat

Seafood restaurant
Restaurant
Pacifica Seafood Restaurant has been a beloved gathering spot for over 15 years, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere with stunning mountain views. The bustling bar features daily happy hour and nightly specials, while the outdoor patio provides a picturesque setting for any occasion. With an array of seafood options and a selection of drinks, including vodka and wine, Pacifica Seafood Restaurant is the perfect destination for those seeking a delightful dining experience.
Excellent 👌 food and service! Amazing atmosphere! Everything was absolutely delicious! I cannot say enough about this restaurant. Oh my goodness! The baked scallops were so good! I couldn't believe it! Run there now!! We went there for my mom's birthday 🎂.
Kingdom K — Google review
My wife and I visited Pacific Seafood in Palm Desert on a Friday night during a weekend getaway, and it’s clear why this place is so popular. The restaurant was absolutely packed, with the patio being the prime spot—misters sprayed to keep diners cool, and the sunset view was stunning. This a fun spot to soak in the desert vibe. We ordered the octopus appetizer, which was flavorful and well-prepared, followed by seared scallops and salmon for our mains. The scallops were delicious, but the salmon was disappointingly dry. While the food was decent overall, it didn’t quite live up to the hype and could use a bit of refinement to match the restaurant’s reputation. Service, however, was a major letdown. The staff seemed overwhelmed by the crowd, and we faced long waits for everything—taking our order, getting our food, and finally receiving the check. Prices were reasonable, and parking in the mall’s garage out back was easy, but the slow service overshadowed the experience. Pacific Seafood has potential, but they need to step up their game to keep up with the demand.

Great upscale restaurant with excellent staff and food. Impressed with their classy dining room and outdoor patio. It was our 1st time here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Came in early for their specials. Well worth it. Plenty of food at a great price. Will definitely go again.

While I had already scarfed some scrumptious seafood a few days earlier, I was still craving the sold out seared scallops I had missed out on. So, Cavemom and I decided to make the short jaunt to El Paseo for a visit to the well established Pacifica Seafood Restaurant. Though, she had been there numerous times, it was my first voyage. We started with some cocktails: Cavemom opted for her usual Crater Lake up with blue cheese stuffed olives and an ice back, while I went for their new spicy “Red Hot” signature cocktail - Milagro Silver, triple sec, strawberry purée, lime, jalapeño, with a Tahin and salt rim. Served with some of their delicious warm sourdough and butter, and an order of the Oysters on the Half Shell which came with cocktail sauce, horseradish and a cucumber mignonette (sorry, no pics). It was a great way to start our meal. For our main courses, she chose a half order of their Pan Seared Chilean Seabass with a honey-soy glaze and sesame seeds, served over ginger sticky rice, bok choy, and a green curry-coconut sauce. Meanwhile, I finally got my Seared Sea Scallops with Carrot Puree, Baby Squash, and Sugar Snap Peas (full order). Both were as good as they sound and look! While we were both fairly stuffed, my matriarch insisted that we split their world famous Pacifica's Ice Cream Pie - Vanilla ice cream, Oreo cookie crust, chocolate sauce, macadamia nuts and whipped cream (again, no pics. DOH!). Somehow, we found a way to polish it off completely, it was that delicious. My only complaint was the inattentiveness and behavior of our server which I wouldn't expect from a restaurant of this stature. Twice, I had to ask assistant servers for items I had requested from her. Plus, as I had a piece of bread in my hand about to soak up the remaining sauce on my dish, she grabbed my plate and then asked if I was done with it. My response was "I guess so" as she whisked it away. Obviously, my displeasure was reflected in her tip. Other than that, I highly recommend this place.

⸻ We had a fantastic dinner at Pacifica Seafood Restaurant last night. My partner and I were traveling, and after a long week at work we just wanted a relaxing evening with great wine and a good meal. We were fortunate to be seated in Samantha’s section — she went above and beyond! Not only was the service excellent, but her warmth and engagement truly made the night feel special. The food was outstanding: I had the swordfish, which was cooked perfectly, and my girlfriend loved her scallops. We also enjoyed a great wine selection, and the oysters were phenomenal. Highly recommend Pacifica for both the food and the experience — especially if you’re lucky enough to have Samantha as your server!

Have been here a handful of times and love the consistency! Always very busy, even on a recent Monday when going with a large party. They didn't have a table inside large enough for us. So they set up s couple of heatlamps for us by our table outside. Great service that night and on every previous visit! I always loved their 50% off all bottles of wine on Tuesdays. Italian restaurant
Ristorante Mamma Gina is a renowned Italian restaurant located in Palm Desert, offering traditional Italian dishes and happy-hour specials in an upscale setting since 1986. The restaurant boasts an extensive menu with offerings such as a $15 filet grilled to perfection and served with homemade mushroom sauce, along with $6 martinis available all day during happy hour.
I highly recommend this Italian restaurant if you’re visiting Indian Wells. The food is unreal. We enjoyed everything we ordered. See pictures for more details. The service is amazing. Our server Jose, was so helpful and attentive. He was also very friendly. All staff were amazing! They really added to the positive experience. Atmosphere is really nice. It is family friendly yet high end. White linen table cloths, beautiful decor, slow paced dining that makes you enjoy the experience. I can’t wait to return the next time we are in the area.

My wife and I came here for the happy hour what receiving a suggestion from a guest staying at the same hotel as us. We arrived at 7 pm, wrote our name on the board and were immediately seated. We were greeted by our waiter named Irvin. He was super nice. Very attentive all night. He provided us with great food suggestions. He has been there for 20 yrs and he is amzon in his efforts!!! The place was packed, very lively. We didn't have to dress up which we were happy about..lol. Happy Hour drink prices were great and the food prices were moderate. When our food came, I was happy with mine. I ordered the shrimp scampi with spaghetti. My wife ordered the black ravioli with ricotta and lobster. For $16, she received 4 small pieces and sauce. Not worth it all. She had to order another meal to make up for that one because she was still hungry. She ordered spaghetti bolognese. This was a hit! We had a great conversation with Sam (I think that's his name. He also works at Sands. Check him out if you go to either). We talked about NYC and his trip that he will one day make there. It was nice to have that talk because we are both grin Brooklyn, NY and his energy was a breath of fresh air. Overall..we had a blast here. We will definitely return when we visit again. Hope to see you both again soon.

On a special weekend with friends, we could have gone to dinner at one of the many restaurants in the area, but Ristorante Mamma Gina had the best reviews for SERVICE. Let me tell you, the reviews did not lie! I booked through OpenTable, and Olivia called me to confirm the reservation time because she noticed that the time on the reservation didn’t sound right. When we got there, Zaldi greeted us and presented us with a personal touch that Olivia arranged for us that was SO SPECIAL! I’m talking, “Eleven Madison Park” and Will Guidara levels of hospitality. Because of Olivia, we will always remember that dinner! Aaron (spelling?) took care of us that night. He was helpful, professional, and funny. As for food, the capellini al pomodoro was SO good, and the sautéed spinach (Florentine style) was so delicious. Never been to Florence and can’t speak on Florentine-style anything, but Mamma Gina’s way is the only way spinach should ever be cooked from here to eternity. SO GOOD! (And non-dairy, btw)

We couldn’t have been happier with our experience at Mamma Gina’s! We managed to book a table for a group of 13 just 45 minutes before arriving on a Monday night, and they handled it flawlessly—seating us comfortably in their private banquet room. From the start, the staff impressed us with their warm welcome and attentive service. Our waters were constantly topped off, and we were served two kinds of warm bread accompanied by a delicious olive tapenade. The waiter kindly explained, “We can change the pasta type or sauce on your meal, so don’t hesitate to ask,” which really highlighted their flexibility and hospitality. The food was outstanding. Starters included Caesar and mixed salads (each large enough to share), a beet salad packed with fresh beets, flavorful bruschetta, and minestrone soup. Several of us took the waiter’s recommendation and ordered the special lasagna—layered with a subtle, savory meat sauce and a heavenly béchamel white sauce accompanied by sautéed spinach. Others enjoyed the rigatoni with sausage and peppers, linguine puttanesca, and pomodoro—all cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, ensuring delicious leftovers the next day. Mamma Gina’s also offers a well-curated wine list and a full bar. I highly recommend this restaurant for its outstanding service, top-quality food, generous portions, and inviting atmosphere. Several people in our group were still raving about the meal days later and telling others to give it a try—you’ll have a delightful dining experience!

Best service & delicious food! We were in town for a week, and so grateful to have discovered this gem! Each dish was a delicious and perfect portion! We loved it so much that we enjoyed three evenings… a special thank you to Mariano for his genuine hospitality and kindness! Every restaurant needs a Mariano! We highly recommend and we can’t wait to come back, feels like home!

I wish we could give this restaurant six stars! Our dining experience at Mamma Gina was one of the hi-lights of our visit to Palm Desert. We were greeted with warm hospitality by Caldi and Mariano who promptly sat us down at the coziest table (we had our baby with us and it was so nice to have a quiet little corner of the restaurant just the three of us.) We ordered the lasagna and the gnocchi-both of which were delicious and so rich in flavor! We ended the meal sharing a plate of the Napoleon which had the perfect level of sweetness for a dessert. Our waiter Emilio was the very best part of the evening. He was so attentive to our table and was so personable and kind. He made us feel so welcomed. Thank you, Ristorante Mamma Gina for a wonderful experience. We will be back the next time we visit the valley! :)

Californian restaurant
Nestled in a shopping plaza, Cork Tree restaurant in Palm Desert offers an intimate and romantic dining experience. The menu showcases elevated Californian cuisine crafted with locally sourced ingredients, while the layout provides stunning views of the natural landscape. Guests can savor dishes like mini duck confit tacos and parmesan truffle fries at the bar and lounge or opt for a la carte options.
Quite an amazing restaurant! The food was incredible! The dining area was very modern and appeared to have had some recent updates. It was a little warm for us in the restaurant, but it ended up being fine. Friendly staff!

This place has great food. We have always driven by it and said we want to stop in but never did but very glad we did. They have a good wine selection. Definitely would try the sea bass and the creme brulee trio. Everybody was very nice and they took care of us very good. The bar is a great place to sit down and have a drink because we were waiting for other people. How are waitress was very nice but I could tell she was a little perturbed because we did take a long time because we were there with people we haven't seen in a long time. The chairs were very comfortable which I particularly like. The fillet is also a very good choice. We will definitely have to come back.

Very classy place to take date or just hang out with buddies. Reservation is strongly suggested. I must say that they really pay attention to details. For example, us old farts struggle to read menu in dimly lit surrounding. We were pleasantly surprised with backlit menus (see video). When we visited, there were a guest singer who were doing a great job. The food was exceptional. In fact so good that we dug in right away and forgot to take photos.

My wife and I take an annual trip to the Marriott Desert Springs across the street for a business conference and usually wind up eating at the hotel restaurant on our final night but this time we decided to check out this place, which is across the street. My wife is a vegetarian and found several items which she liked which was good because I am NOT a vegetarian and was looking forward to the Cowboy Ribeye. Both of us were very happy with our meals as well as the dessert choices. Service was quick and excellent. Will definitely come back next year!

Wow, best experience in town as visitors yet. Ray was our server and put on a masterclass in dining professionalism. The escargot with short rin in puff pastry was a fun twist and tasty. The drink choices were wonderful, the Bullet Whiskey Sour and Black Walmut Old fashioned were top notch. My date enjoyed her filet, and my Salmon Dish was out of this world. Maybe, the best Salmon dish I've ever had.

I have driven by this place for years and I went with my wife tonight for the first time. We have tried many different restaurants throughout the Coachella Valley. We were looking for something light, fresh and tasty. We decided to try some appetizers and a few salads. Let me tell you the food was fresh, and the ingredients meshed very well together to create a tasty meal. The bread to start out was fresh, soft and a great way to start eating. First we had the pork belly, which was tasty and a perfect balance of flavors dancing on your palet. The duck tacos sounded interesting since I hadn't had duck in sometime. It came off as a unique dish that made everything so strong. For the entree we both had a salad and they were fresh and delicious. I can tell you we would definitely be back and cannot wait to try some more food. The service was fantastic and the waiter was marvelous and truly answered all our questions and gave us great recommendations.

Andrew the bar tender is the best in the valley my opinion! So personable to my wife and I we’ve been following him for several years. We had the full menu items at the bar such a great experience.

Every time I come to desert I go here for fine dining. They know how to treat a customer right, know their wines and menu. Never disappointed. I was hungry so didn’t take photos BUT their special surf and turf was outstanding. Best shrimp and filet mignon. Could not be made better. The three crème brûlée dessert is a huge favorite. Also their after dinner drink pour is a fair one so don’t hesitate to order an expensive favorite. One of the only places that does this and is very appreciated!

French restaurant
Restaurant
Cafe Des Beaux-Arts is a traditional French cafe located on El Paseo, offering a quaint and charming atmosphere for diners. The menu features authentic French dishes such as Eggs Meurette, crepes, Croque Monsieur, and Quiche Lorraine. The cafe's Parisian patio is a popular spot for enjoying lunch while the interior is adorned with fine French art.
Hold on ,my mouth is full, let me swallow my coq au vin before I share with you how delicious the food tastes. Gulp. Yummy! This is a little side trip to Paris in Palm Desert. Attentive service and an explosion of deep flavors. I had the chicken coq au vin and French onion soup, which was spectacular. Everything on this menu is delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try the other delectable treats..

We've been coming here for years. In search of French food and atmosphere. Found both...though other reviews may disagree This is not a Michlen star but more like a sidewalk cafe. Great for people watching too Price per person includes a bottle of wine for 2.

Accepting a subtle greeting from the usher, i took a table by the roadside (open) window. Had to ask for the table. The greeter can do a better job asking for preferences. From here on, the experience exceeded my expectations. The coffee! Awesome. I complemented the coffee and the attendant insisted i get as much coffee as i can drink :-). I ordered Mediterranean Frittata and a plate of plain crepe without powdered sugar. The food was tasty and hot. Using my hands to dip a rolled crepe in the syrup, i downed it with a sip of hot coffee. Yum. Had a leisurely breakfast, ate everything except the plates. Recommend this restaurant for a leisurely sumptuous experience. Avoid sitting at the bar (nothing against it) or the inside booths as the street side tables are more relaxing.

horrible experience. Nancy one of the waitresses had a horrible attitude towards me and my daughter the whole time. Owner/ manager I don’t know but he had an aditude. Cut me off while I was talking multiple times. I didn’t even get food the service was so bad!! the only nice person was the man who worked out front. Props to him everyone else take notes.

Great patio area! Strawberry crepe was delicious. The coffee was more like diner coffee than what I would expect from a French cafe. Overall a good experience.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner tonight. Tonight’s special was a white fish, perfectly grilled, moist on the inside with a light crust. The Crepe Suzette was perfect with a balance of orange, lemon, and brown sugar. One can taste the fragrance of the orange, the sweetness of the sugar, and the zest of lemon. Wonderful experience.

My boyfriend picked out the spot. How cute is this restaurant! There is our on the wall and French breakfast and lunch options? It was nearing noon so I decided to get a salad. The tuna was a little bit dry, But with some added olive oil and dressing it was much better. It was really delicious salad and perfect for a hot summer day and Palm Desert ! My boyfriend ordered the creeper omelette and that was also just as good. They have these misters that line the outer rim of the restaurant so you can feel the mist while you’re sitting outside which is lovely.
