History museum
Museums
The International Civil Rights Center & Museum is a Greensboro, North Carolina museum dedicated to documenting the history of the civil rights movement. The building that houses the museum was formerly home to the Woolworth's store where four students from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University joined in peaceful sit-ins beginning in 1960. The museum aims to memorialize these actions and others who participated in the movement across America.
This museum is a MUST visit for everyone!!! Greensboro is home of the historic 1960 sit-ins. Standing in the very space where four young Black students sparked a national movement for justice was humbling and powerful. Every American should visit this ground zero for civil rights. It’s a city of courage, resilience, and change. Also, a reminder that history lives in the places we choose to remember…

Our tour was on 6/19/20225 at 12:00 Noon and it was absolutely breathtaking, mind blowing and thought provoking. Not only did allow me to pause to reflect but it also received how inherently out of touch my generation and my children’s generation are with a historical reality. I’m so grateful to God we had this experience and our tour guide was nothing less than exceptional with how he narrated the contextual frame and store of each segment. I would highly recommend this experience for any child no matter their race or culture.

I had an incredible experience at the International Civil Rights Center & Museum in Greensboro today. Our tour guide Darren made this visit truly special - he shared these stories with genuine passion because his own family member was part of this civil rights history. You could tell this wasn't just a job for him; it was personal. Our visit carried extra weight knowing that just yesterday, on September 4, 2025, we lost Major General Joseph McNeil, one of the legendary Greensboro Four, at the age of 83. Being in that museum today, walking through the same spaces where McNeil and his fellow students made history, felt like honoring his memory. The museum doesn't sugarcoat anything. Darren walked us through the harsh realities of oppression, racism, and how people were treated as less than human simply because of their skin color. As a Black American woman, those harsh realities and visualizations pulled hard on my heartstrings. Hearing these stories made me uncomfortable, and honestly, that's exactly how it should feel. If we're not bothered by injustice, we won't fight to prevent it from happening again. What really got to me was how Darren connected the past to today. He helped us see that learning about these painful chapters in history isn't meant to make us feel guilty - it's meant to make us vigilant. When we understand how discrimination worked then, we can better recognize and stop it now. The actual museum space is powerful too, especially being housed in the building where the Woolworth's sit-ins began. Standing in that same space where four college students decided to take a stand gives you chills - even more so today, knowing we just lost one of those brave young men who changed history. If you're planning a visit, ask for Darren if he's available. His storytelling brings this history to life in a way that textbooks never could. This place does important work preserving these stories, and everyone should hear them.

Great place and great customer service. My experience here was great. Highly recommended. However, I think that there should be discounted admission prices for college students as well, not just K-12. Also, it is more about "African Americans Civil Rights" than "International Civil Rights."

It help my kid understand she was in trip by writing a essay and it show all people who die or jailed or punish but no pictures I didn't take any because my kid did she didn't take anything else but this but they nice and sweet to her school rosewood middle 8 grade trip was good to her I love that she enjoyed it

In the current state of our nation this is a place everyone should visit regardless of your demographic. My wife and stopped to visit on our way up to Maryland and took a guided tour with Mrs. Jeanne. She was absolutely the best and had a wonderful singing voice, the guided tour was TOTALLY worth it. Get Mrs Jeanne if you can ;)

I love anything dealing with history. The good, the bad and ugly. This museum was so informative and I learned abt so many stories that I had never even heard of before. I opted for the self guided tour so I could be on my own time and schedule reading everything. The tour started with abt a 50min documentary then can proceeded to walk the exhibits. I spent abt 2hrs total here. Great way to learn things while also staying cool from the heat.
Cynthia R — Google review
The gentleman at the front desk was very polite and welcoming. Our tour guides- Angela and then Darren, were very friendly and knowledgeable about each topic. You could tell they’re very passionate about their roles. Such a great experience, very eye opening! Definitely worth the time. Our tour took about 1 1/2 hours. I would go again and try the self-guided tour so I have more time to read from each board in each part of the exhibit.

Zoo
Museums
The Greensboro Science Center is a fantastic family-friendly destination nestled in North Carolina, offering an exciting blend of attractions all in one place. Spanning 12 acres, this center features a captivating zoo where you can encounter fascinating animals like tigers and red pandas. The aquarium showcases an array of marine life, including sharks and penguins, while the hands-on museum invites visitors to explore exhibits on dinosaurs and extreme weather phenomena.
Wow! This was a great experience. It's my second time to visit the science center. The last time was several years ago. It has really grown in that time. There is a quite impressive aquarium section. The dinosaur, butterfly, and flight sections were particularly good. There was a fairly nice outdoor zoo but because of the weather conditions that day most of the animals had taken the day off. There is a sky adventure which you could not pay me enough money to get on. But it looked like a lot of fun for those who were doing it. I also had lunch at the meerkat Cafe which was pretty good. It's a fun place to spend the day. It's an excellent choice for families and individuals and groups. All the staff were incredibly helpful and gave great suggestions.
Myron J — Google review
Really nice medium sized zoo and aquarium. The zoo has plenty of shade. It reached 85° the day we were there and was very tolerable. There are plenty of great different animals you would not expect. There is an AMAZING sky walk adventure zip lines and aerial walks. Bigger then any I've see elsewhere. $40 per person i think. Great for kids
Margaret R — Google review
We had a lot of fun here! The animals husbandry was very nice and clean and the animals seemed to be well taken care of and happy. My daughter (and mom) loved everything. There is some construction going on that is a bit loud, but that’s unavoidable.
Izzy H — Google review
Took my 12 year old here for her birthday. Bought tickets ahead of time and arrived at opening. I hadn't been here since I was a child several decades ago. The changed are amazing and wonderful. Several animals in the zoo that I had never seen anywhere else. The museum was informative and entertaining. The aquarium was gorgeous and the kids loved the stingray touch tank. I was worried about ask the walking since I'm disabled but there were plenty of opportunities to stop and rest. Great special day trip.
Jessie B — Google review
What a tremendous place! There is so much to do. I recommend planning a whole day here if you're bringing kids over 6 years old. The ropes course was incredibly difficult but a lot of fun, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My family really enjoyed the aquarium and zoo. Looks like a terrific place for school groups and field trips also.

The Greensboro Science Center is an incredible mix of science museum, aquarium, and zoo all in one! You can explore fascinating exhibits, see amazing marine life up close, and meet animals from all over the world. Right now, the Blue Whale exhibit is a must see it’s breathtaking and educational. The staff are friendly and passionate, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend adding this to your list when visiting Greensboro, especially for families or anyone curious about the natural world! It’s about an hour and a half from Raleigh, but worth the visit.
Justin K — Google review
My family has visited this location several times and each visit is just as good or better! It's the perfect day trip for small children, but there are so many exhibits and things to do for all ages. They offer concessions but also allow outside food and drink which is great. All the staff I interacted with were friendly and knowledgeable about the center and the animals/exhibits and the animals appear to be well-cared for. While a lot of things stay the same, it seems like they have a rotation of new things as well. We got to visit the new butterfly exhibit on our last trip. I love that it's a one stop destination for a zoo, aquarium, and science center. They also have a large outdoor playground with climbing ropes, slides, and treehouses. We will definitely come back and be recommending to others 😊
Abbe W — Google review
Great little all in one zoo-aquarium-science center for kids preschool to elementary age. My teen was a bit bored because the information was definitely geared towards the younger crowd, but he did have a great time in the special exhibir ($3 extra) doing a flight simulator. The younger kids had a blast, especially at the tree house playground. I really appreciated how the time was organized at the touch tank to keep it from being too crowded. Also, I love red pandas, so very happy to see them. And I'd never seen a pygmy hippo before.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Guilford Courthouse National Military Park is a gem! The beautiful trails are perfect for a peaceful walk or a bit of light hiking, surrounded by lush greenery and rich history. I love how well-maintained the paths are, making it easy to explore and learn about the historical significance of the area. My fiancé, both my boys (7 & 11), and myself decided to do something different being very new to the area. It was the perfect start to our Sunday morning. Peaceful, scenic, and educational, we all enjoyed every moment of it.

Guilford Courthouse National Military Park is a wonderful place to explore Revolutionary War history. You can either walk the battlefield trail or drive it—I chose to drive since it’s fairly long. Along the way there are multiple stops with monuments and informational signage that really help you imagine how the battle unfolded. The visitor center is also excellent, with a short film and plenty of displays that explain the battle in detail. As always, the Park Service staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend for history enthusiasts!

Nice historic park. We noticed a lot of local people use this park for walking, picnics, exercising, and such. Not many tourist like us to be seen. Park was enjoyable. Yet small it was a good experience.

To see and walk where history was made is an interesting experience there's alot of monuments and statues to explore all around this battlefield and give credit to the people that maintain and take care of this historic area if your interested in history or like to visit national parks you'll enjoy your vist here

I'm not a hiker or anything related to this type out outdoor stuff. I only walked around for about a 1/2hr. It was kinda quiet even though there's busy roads around it. It maybe better if you did the tour but for my 1st time there I was pleased. I look forward to going back. I'm sure when the leaves change color it'll look spectacular.
Joanna B — Google review
We walked around the whole thing, and it was beautiful. There were, you know, informational signs about the battlefield and the history around it. Gave you a real sense of what it was like and realize where you were standing was where people fought to defend and risk their lives. Very well maintained. Went on a holiday, so would have loved to seeing the Visitor Center, and i'm sure it would have had more information. Would have loved to do the tour. Very dog friendly with Trash bags and cans all along the trail.
Rita — Google review
I was very pleased with the walking and driving tour of the park. Maps are available at the visitor center and access throughout is easy to get to. The parks also have an app you can download for an audio tour. I'm just sorry I went on a Monday when the visitor center was closed.

The Greensboro History Museum, located at 130 Summit Avenue, is housed in a historic building that was once a Confederate army hospital and Presbyterian church. This museum offers an engaging and informative experience for families and visitors interested in the history of Greensboro and Guilford County. The Roman revival architectural style building not only showcases various exhibits and artifacts but also hosts the Greensboro Public Library and the Greensboro Art Center.
Chaperoned for my son's class field trip, and had a great time. This museum is a public gem! Admission is free. Everything is well organized and very clean and neatly kept. Very well managed. Staff was very organized with the tour and activities they had for our 4th grade kids, and were very informative, insightful, and patient so I'm very appreciative of their staff. I can't wait to go back with the rest of the family! Oh, they also open on weekends, so that's a huge plus!

We stopped here on a Friday afternoon and found parking nearby in a parking garage. The museum consists of 2 floors of information to see related to Greensboro and North Carolina. The museum was quiet and definitely worth the visit if you have a couple hours! Also completely free!

I can't believe that this museum is free. Absolutely love it. It was a really huge job of staff. Such nice exhibits and interactive activity with sounds and live buttons. One of the exhibits is like a real small city, amazing. Not a big parking lot. On weekdays we found a spot for parking.

Super cool muesum that really does a great job at immersing you in the history of Greensboro with artifacts from the past and showcasings of experiences people had. Plus it's all free!
Jack I — Google review
Free museum, say WHAT?! Not to mention super-cool, with some really fun interactive exhibits. While it's true, several of the exhibits need a bit of updating, overall this is a great experience. Perfect for the whole family, in a stellar location adjacent to an amazing park in downtown Greensboro. A note about parking- do yourself a favor & park at the public parking deck on N. Church St. The rates are very cheap, & far less confusing than trying to squeeze into one of the tiny free lots. (You'll also be positioned perfectly to explore all the other cool activities & parks surrounding the museum.)

The Greensboro Arboretum, situated in the lively city of Greensboro, North Carolina, is a 17-acre public garden that offers a captivating display of over 14 plant collections. This educational garden showcases a diverse range of local and international flora species, creating a picturesque landscape that evolves with the changing seasons. Renowned for its creative design and stunning array of plants, it has become a favorite spot for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a tranquil retreat from urban life.
Finally got to go to the Summer Solstice Festival. Despite the weather being extra spicy lately, the festival was really enjoyable! There were plenty of vendors and food trucks to pick from to support local businesses. I love seeing all the beautiful costumes that people wore. The park is really beautiful as well. If you're into whimsy and enjoy the celebration of summer, I definitely recommend. ✨️🌞🧚🏾‍♀️

An amazingly well-kept and maintained Park. Great place to go on a date or meet and greet. The size impressed me the most. And there's even an area where you can get married. The variety of floral and different sections of plants seemed endless. It was a great evening. Just be respectful and Don't throw trash and ruin it for others.

Free parking, a good 45 minutes worth of exploring to be done. This park has a lot to offer. The gardens are well maintained to look great in any season. A beautiful little creek runs through the center of it. This is a goodplace for graduation and engagement sessions, lots of different lighting situations. Permit required to photograph. Very much worth the money.

@June.2025 A nice little park to take a walk. Park is clean and well maintained. Feel more like walking in a garden than a park. You can walk from one side to the other side within half an hour. Parking is free and plenty of space as well as free street parking.

We've been here several times with our babies for a walk and picnics. It's a beautiful place to get outdoors and let the kids explore. We also went to the Summer Solstice Festival this year and it was awesome! Will be going again next year!

We enjoyed our visit today. It is not a large garden but will keep you busy for a couple of hours. The flowers are beautiful and there are some nice architrectural elements throughout. There are plenty of benches & a picnic area & restrooms available. It is located behind the park\pkayground.

Very Beautiful. I love taking my dog on new trails but we always find ourselves coming back here. Truly one of a kind. Very well kept. I highly recommend visiting.

What an absolute gem tucked right into Greensboro! We didn’t expect much more than a casual stroll when we pulled in, but the Greensboro Arboretum turned out to be a full-blown, magical nature walk that felt both curated and wild at the same time. The paths weave through beautifully maintained gardens that seem to shift in personality every few steps—from sunny, flower-lined walkways to shady nooks filled with twisting vines and towering trees. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down on purpose. And every corner has a little surprise—whether it’s a hidden bench, a mosaic structure, or a wild bloom that makes you pause and stare. There’s a gorgeous collection of plants—clearly someone here has a deep love for both design and diversity. The dragonvine-orange-fruit-something-or-other (no idea what it actually was, but that’s what we’re calling it now) caught our eye right underneath these giant wind chimes hanging dramatically between the trees. We were half-hoping for a breeze to make them sing, but alas, the air was still. I had half a mind to give them a little push myself—until I realized the bushes underneath were basically thorny security guards, 100% placed there on purpose. 😂 Smart move, Greensboro. Smart move. Despite not hearing the chimes, the walk was peaceful and full of beauty—so many textures, colors, and little details to take in. And it’s not just about the plants—there’s a quiet energy in this place that feels grounding. It's perfect for reflection, or just a slow wander with someone you enjoy being around. If you’re anywhere near Greensboro and need a breather from the day-to-day, don’t miss this spot. Bring good shoes, a curious eye, and maybe a field guide if you're the type to want to name every tree (or just make up your own like we did 😄). 10/10 – We’ll be back, wind or no wind.

Southern restaurant (US)
Lucky 32 Southern Kitchen is a farm-to-table restaurant that offers elevated Southern cuisine with a relaxed atmosphere. With an outdoor veranda, this establishment is popular for diners who enjoy flavorful and fresh food favorites. Supporting local farmers, Lucky 32 also takes steps to be sustainable with their meal choices!
This place just made top 3 dining experiences of ALL TIME! Surprised by how upscale the place was, I was greeted with pleasant smiles and a seat waiting for me. Easily some of the friendliest staff I've interacted with in a long time. The food and presentation was impeccable and I look forward to a return trip with colleagues to show them my savvy. Take the date or longtime partner for an impressive memory!
Grant D — Google review
Lucky 32 feels upscale, but the prices are super reasonable in comparison to the atmosphere. The menu is carefully crafted. It was hard to choose what to order. Their grits were perfection. My husband raved about the bacon wrapped meatloaf. An artist was creating a large piece live as we were dining. If the bathrooms in a restaurant are gross, I always feel suspicious about the cleanliness elsewhere. The bathrooms were immaculate. The only thing that was noted that wasn't top notch was that the service seemed to be slow (waiting to pay and get our card back) for the amount of customers dining at the time we were there. We weren't in a hurry, so it wasn't a big deal. Overall, we were impressed with Lucky 32 and would recommend it.
Jordon H — Google review
I recently had the most incredible dining experience at Lucky 32 Southern Kitchen. The star of the show was undoubtedly the grilled salmon, which was cooked to absolute perfection. The fish was incredibly flaky and moist, and the Texas Pete glaze added a sweet, tangy heat that was just divine. It's a flavor combination I didn't know I needed, and now I can't stop thinking about it. The sides were just as fantastic. The fresh string beans were crisp and vibrant, a perfect counterpoint to the richness of the main course. And the cheesy grits? They were creamy, savory, and the ideal comfort food. Each element of the plate worked in harmony, creating a truly unforgettable meal. My server was new and still learning the ropes, which is totally understandable. While she was very sweet, there was one moment of a minor misstep. I feel it's worth a mention for future training purposes: she reached over my plate to clear an empty dish from the person next to me. A simple fix for this would be to walk around the table to retrieve the dish instead. But honestly, the food was so stellar that this small hiccup was easily overlooked. Overall, I highly recommend Lucky 32 Southern Kitchen, especially for this specific dish. It's Southern comfort food elevated to a new level, and I can't wait to go back and have it again.

First-time visit—definitely won’t be our last! We were traveling through the area and decided to stop in at Lucky 32 for the first time. From the moment we walked in, we loved the atmosphere—warm, welcoming, and cozy. Our waitress was incredibly nice and very attentive throughout our meal. We ordered the pan-fried chicken and WOW—absolutely phenomenal! I chose collard greens and mashed potatoes as my sides, and everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious. Hands down, one of the best meals we’ve had on the road. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area!

I had dinner at the Bar on a Tuesday night. Great Service and Great Food. Tables were full, Bar was half full. I had the Catfish($23) and Sm Ceasar salad($5). Highly recommend. My bill was $53 but I also had a bourbon and red wine.

Delicious! We visited tonight and ordered the black bean cakes and bacon wrapped meatloaf- both were so tasty!! We were immediately seated and our food came out, piping hot, soon after ordering. Highly recommend!

The service did was great, the service was top notch - Noah treated us with care. The she-crab soup had wonderfully bright flavors. The bone- in pork chop was tender and the collard prefecture seasoned. The pleasant atmosphere of the patio rounded out the dinner beautifully. We will return.

Undercurrent Restaurant, an upscale New American dining establishment in Greensboro, has been delighting patrons with locally sourced dishes and exceptional service since 1988. The elegant white-tablecloth setting makes it a popular choice for special occasions like anniversaries or birthdays, as well as intimate date nights. Families seeking an affordable yet refined dining experience will also find Undercurrent to be a perfect destination.
We really loved our first visit to Undercurrent. I say first because we'll definitely be back. The most obvious benefit is that it's a couple of blocks from the Tanger Performing Arts Center. That being said, we enjoyed every aspect of our dinner. The service was top notch. There was a variety of food options, and we really loved every bite. The tuna starter was delicious, and we had trout and salmon wish were both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious!

The atmosphere is open and bright. Not great or attentive service. Has the butternut squash soup and beef and lentil soup. It was very good. The lobster and shrimp spring rolls were highly recommended but I didn’t care for them. The sauce was not authentic and the stuffing inside was too much filling and not much lobster or shrimp. We had the special of filet minion with crab and shrimp on top. It was delicious and tender. The arugula salad in the side was okay, the dressing was very tangy. Probably wouldn’t recommend or come back.

Let me say how when we walked in we got smiles so it was very nice. When we sat down at the table we probably waited 10 minutes before we got the first person to come and say anything. That was disappointing for sure but once we had the server came she was nice and accommodating. We were supposed to get bread at the beginning but probably 10 to 15 minutes later she came and said she was baking some and it will be out in a bit again waiting for something. Then the bread came out then another 20 minutes then out dinner came out so it was an easy 30 minutes for the food. The food was on point very good no complaints about that at all we all enjoyed it. Overall a good experience we would go again just not in a hurry too.

Many kudos to the mixologist- our cocktails were definitely a highlight of our experience. Service given by Savannah was excellent. We had the crab cake and the ribeye as the main courses, and both were well-seasoned. Really appreciated the casual, quiet atmosphere so that we could chat during our date night. Price for the food quality and quantity was actually lower than we expected. We would come back.

Food was very good , all that you would want from a good restaurant. The only issue was that is was very loud, the sound in the building travels very easy , so you can hear everything and nothing at the same time . That was my only issue having to talk over the other people . Great food. The Mocktails where very good.

I have visited Undercurrent a handful of times and it has always been fabulous! They change the menu a little seasonally. My absolute favorite at the moment is the skillet seared salmon. I get mine well done, but paired with the pesto linguini it’s phenomenal! The service and atmosphere is always great.

Chicken restaurant
Restaurant
Dame's Chicken & Waffles is a laid-back eatery known for its classic and inventive waffle combinations, including vegan, sweet potato, and gingerbread options. Established in 2010 in Durham, NC by owners Dame Moore and Randy Wadsworth, the restaurant has expanded to other locations due to its popularity. The menu features a variety of chicken and waffle pairings with fresh ingredients that have garnered a loyal following.
My visit at Dame's Chicken & Waffles was great! The food was complimented by the service and atmosphere provided. I felt as if I experiencing a homemade meal with the family literally and figuratively! The pricing was affordable and reasonable in regards to the menus choices leaving me with financial and dietary satisfaction. My peers enjoyed the wealth of menu items leaving them feeling complete with choices and a variety of foods to try! My peers and I enjoyed this experience meaningfully.

Our server, Trent, was great. My waffles with butter were EXCELLENT. The cheese grits were delicious. Now, the fried chicken, is a whole different story! It looked & tasted like it was fried in old oil. Fried chicken should be golden brown when fried in fresh oil.
Charvene J — Google review
The food had great flavor! The grilled cutlet was tender and juicy, other party members said the chicken and waffles tasted good, but the wait times for said food were very long (got seated at approx 2:45 and as of 3:55 I’m waiting for the check to come back). Drinks came out quick, but waiter disappeared after and took a while to return to take our food order. Despite tasting good, all 3 of our meals were room temperature or cooler. The waffles were cold. Said the reason for the room temp food was because I’d ordered the grilled cutlet and it takes significantly longer, but that cutlet just arrived warm, not hot. I feel it was left sitting in the window for a bit… Sent the waffles back and they said they’d get a remake out soon but it took about 20 minutes. A note on the service- 2 star rating is largely due to the waiter, often standing around idly, had to be called over to order our food after drinks, nice individual but not very attentive to our needs. Prioritized the very large party around the corner instead. The manager definitely made up for it though- he was so understanding and not only replaced the cold chicken and waffles dish but also comped the meal because the replacement waffle took ~20 minutes to come out.

The food and atmosphere is great. I enjoyed my food immensely. My coworker enjoy his sweet potato waffle as well. The combinations that are available to make your meal customized to your preference is a top seller for this spot. I'll visit next time I'm in town

I had a really nice experience at the restaurant the other day. My server was incredibly friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. I was also pleased with how quickly our food arrived, and it was served nice and hot. The only thing was that the mac and cheese tasted a little different than what I expected. We were seated immediately Overall, it was a very positive experience.

This was my first time trying this place. The food was amazing!!! OMG my wife and I really enjoyed this place. I would definitely recommend. The only reason I don’t give it all five stars was because my waffle could’ve been cooked a little lighter.

I was disappointed. I ordered shrimp and grits and the bowl was full of grease. There wasn’t any flavor and I couldn’t even doctor it up with salt and pepper. The manager was very accommodating and the waitress was very nice about it. I’m thinking they also need to change their grease because the chicken was super dark. The shmears were good and so was their lemonades. Maybe I will try again for breakfast or lunch and see if the food is any better.

The food was excellent. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a great burger. It's very filling and worth the price! Cooked to order.

The food was delicious! The burger was juicy and full of flavor. Can't ask for much more out of a burger joint. Service was pretty quick. If it weren't for the server spilling some beer on me I would have given the service 5 stars too. Overall exceptional experience, delicious food and we didn't have to wait long at all.

We come often and enjoy our time! A solid place for a burgers and beers… and the wings sauces especially the blue cheese is awesome too!! Great fries choices! It feels like they could make it a bit better tables and could improve that as a more comfortable experience and the outdoor area is ok…lacks the atmosphere… unclean old plants and dirty curtains and tables aren’t best for the vibe. Service is great but they seem rushed and unhappy… maybe they need another runner on staff or something… parking sucks but that’s usually for an urban area.

HOPS! - Been visiting for many years now. The Spicy Goat & Diablo Burgers dominate our choices. The wings are always hitting the spot and crispy. Haven't partaken in their immense craft beer menu - but I can pass on the recommendations of my co-workers and friends. Sometimes there's a wait - well worth it.

Hops Burger Bar was an excellent experience all around. The ambiance was really comfortable and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was equally impressive—friendly, attentive, and quick without feeling rushed. We started with the fried crab cake balls, which were perfectly crisp on the outside and rich in flavor. HIGHLY recommend ordering those. The cinnamon syrup collins was a pleasant surprise—refreshing, balanced, and a bit unique. For the main course, the French Onion burger was simply amazing, packed with flavor and cooked exactly right. Overall, Hops Burger Bar delivered on all fronts: atmosphere, service, and food. Definitely worth coming back to.

This review contains opinions of 5 people! We stopped by to fill our stomachs on our way from Washington DC to Atlanta and we realized we made a great choice! We all ordered different burgers and oh my gosh they all looked amazing I chose the gluten free bun because of my gluten allergy and it was the softest gluten free burger bun I've ever had, even though it was crowded (and we understand why it was crowded because it's so good) the service was very fast and the employees were incredibly sweet and friendly people, we loved this place!

This was a nice bar/restaurant. We stopped in for lunch and I got the Hop Classic Burger with sweet potato fries and Creme Brulee Cheesecake to go. They also have a great beer selection as well.

Try this combo: turkey burger, fried egg, pineapple, jalapeño bacon & candied jalapeño relish! Best burger of my life. Most turkey burgers are sad little pucks eaten to hit a protein goal, but they have somehow mastered the turkey burger with a flavorful crust worthy of a steak. So impressed! Also must try the sweet potato fries with marshmallow sauce, onion rings, and green tomatoes! Food is so fresh, and great serving sizes! They also have a veggie plate for an appetizer that was also so fresh! So many options if you are trying to put together a healthy meal, great macros, and massive flavor!

Green Valley Grill is a top-rated restaurant in the Greensboro metro area, offering classic European fare and an award-winning wine list. The restaurant provides an elegant setting with a courtyard and separate lounge where guests can enjoy afternoon high tea. Highly recommend dining at GVG. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and our meal. The ambiance was calm and inviting. We were able to have a conversation without it feeling like we're yelling across the table at one another which seems rare these days. The music was pleasant classical music. The server, Morgan, was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. All fresh. We ordered the Truffle Fries starter which, beware, is a generous portion. My husband ordered the GVG Reuben which was the best Reuben we've tasted in a while. I ordered the Herb Shrimp and Spring Vegetable Penne. I don't usually like asparagus but it was perfectly prepared and added a nice texture to the pasta dish. Memorable experience.

Green Valley Grill is a true gem in Greensboro and one of my favorite go-to spots for a consistently exceptional dining experience. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance elevated yet relaxed, with beautiful European-inspired decor. I always start with the potato leek soup it’s rich, velvety, and perfectly seasoned every time. It’s the kind of dish that feels like comfort and quality in one bite. From there, the seasonal entrées and wood-fired specialties never disappoint. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and thoughtfully sourced. The service is always warm and professional, and whether I’m stopping in for a casual lunch or dinner with friends, it always feels special. The connection to the O.Henry Hotel adds to the charm making it ideal for both locals and guests visiting the area. Highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious food, refined ambiance, and the kind of place that becomes a favorite after just one visit.

This was my second time coming here. The food is excellent and come in hearty portions. The tapas plate was very generous in size. The salmon perfectly cooked. Beautiful decor and professional staff. Highly recommend.

My first visit to GVG and to start with the server Edgar, he was extremely nice! I ordered a coke and the Mediterranean Tapas. The shrimp and humus was delicious. For my entree, I went with salmon and my man had the trout. Everything was delicious! I will definitely return and recommend if you’re in the Greensboro NC area..

Nice outdoor atmosphere, great wait staff, very good food! Ask for table by the fountain. Though it was outside in front of the O. Henry Hotel on a nice August afternoon, the covered patio area was quiet. The fountain noise and soft music cover the on going surroundings noises. The food was exceptional!

We had an amazing experience at Green Valley Grill in Greensboro. Since we’re new to the area, we didn’t know if a reservation was required, but the staff was very kind and seated us right away. We ordered the spiced salmon and Parmesan-crusted chicken — both were delicious. For dessert, the banana cheesecake was excellent, and the white chocolate cappuccino and cinnamon hazelnut cappuccino were both fantastic. Our waitress, (please forgive me I don’t recall her name), gave wonderful recommendations and provided amazing service. Highly recommend checking this place out!

This was a great experience. They offered top notch service, and the food was flawless. We ordered a sampler and split an entrée and they brought it out pre-split with a side on each plate. Everything was great and it was inexpensive enough to go back regularly. However, reservations are recommended, possibly required.
