Malibu is a city west of Los Angeles, California. It’s known for its celebrity homes and beaches, including wide and sandy Zuma Beach. To the east is Malibu Lagoon State Beach, known as Surfrider Beach for its waves. Nearby is the Spanish Revival–style Adamson House, with local history displays in its Malibu Lagoon Museum. Inland, trails weave through canyons, waterfalls and grasslands in the Santa Monica Mountains.

Malibu Pier, an iconic structure dating back to 1905, is located next to the beach and offers a variety of attractions. The area has historical significance, with evidence of Chumash settlement dating back 7000 years. The pier's proximity to Los Angeles studios has made it a popular filming location for movies, TV shows, and music videos. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk along the pier while taking in views of the cliffs and luxurious homes.
Super rad place. Parking is tough depending on the season and time if day. The parking lots close after sunset i think, so assure your vehicle is moved should you park there. Surf is usually pretty clean. Lots of large rocks, so use caution. On higher tides you are able to skimboard there, which is super dope. Usually pretty packed with beach goers and surfers. But still a great and welcoming vibe. Don't forget to take all your trash off the beach when you're done!

Iconic spot in Malibu. We walked the pier and then along the shoreline. We watched all the surfers try to catch some waves. I is a beautiful way to spend an evening. We did see some of the carnage from the wildfires driving to the pier but its been cleaned up well for the most part.

8️⃣ / 🔟 Hello, we were here. The Malibu Pier is a very beautiful place. A very fascinating and beautiful view of the ocean. Enjoyed my time here. Unfortunately slightly overcrowded. Good photo hotspot. Feel free to come here. We'd love to come back. See you next time. ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
Team S — Google review
Good to walk on out to see the beach activity, the wooden walk is kind of bumpy. When I walked there the 2 restaurants at the end of the pier were closed. There were a lot of fishing along the pier but no activity. I did not know they caught any. But it is nice sunny and breezy and nice views.
Somkietr R — Google review
It's only been a little over six months since the wildfires in January 2025, but the sight of burned houses in Malibu was heartbreaking, in stark contrast to the beautiful ocean. I hope that one day, homes will be built where everyone can live in peace, just like the beautiful ocean. Many surfers and families were enjoying the summer at the beautiful Malibu Beach. With uniformly high waves, it must be a recommended spot for surfers. There was also a delicious restaurant at the pier, so we enjoyed the beautiful ocean and a meal
T M — Google review
Malibu Pier is nice... short, quiet and relaxed. As nice at it is, its short and feels like a walkway from one restaurant to another. You can fish and see the coast line of Malibu beach but its very relaxed ... and quiet. There is parking just outside and looks like there are two large gates at the entrance so they may close it at night.
Topher E — Google review
The Malibu Pier is one of my favorite places to take a stroll, especially to watch the surfers at world-famous Surfrider Beach. The views up and down the coast are incredible, and it’s always a relaxing place to walk after appointments. Malibu Farm at the beginning of the pier is perfect for a meal or coffee with ocean views, and the pier has become even more of a community hub with the Dreamland/Aviator Nation 2025 Summer Concert Series. It’s the perfect blend of history, scenery, food, and local culture — a must-visit in Malibu.
Danielle D — Google review
I went there on Sunday 7/27/25 afternoon. Pier was not full and restaurants were open but not the one at the very end. There was a sign saying there will be a live music session next weekend. There was a significant line of people waiting to be seated on the patio at the Malibu Farm Restaurant. I haven’t tried the food there but seeing people waiting makes me want to eat there for sure. You can fish from the pier and the views are amazing. No cover to walk on the pier.

Nestled against the stunning mountains and close to the beautiful beaches of Malibu, the Malibu Country Mart is a relaxed outdoor shopping complex offering chic boutiques, trendy restaurants, and even a playground for kids. This lifestyle center is home to upscale boutiques like Burro, Calypso St. Barth, John Varvatos, Ralph Lauren, and more. Throughout the year, visitors can enjoy seasonal events such as movies under the stars in summer and trick-or-treating in fall.
The usual place to go to and hang out in Malibu, with iconic restaurants, such as Taverna Tony, Oyster Co, Prince ST Pizza, Blue Bottle Coffee and one of the best whole food location in California. Additional plus, there are Tesla superchargers at two separate locations. For more, follow our instagram @gemislist

Malibu Country Mart is one of the best places to spend time in Malibu. It has such a great mix of shops, cafés, and outdoor spaces, and I love stopping by in between real estate appointments. The plaza is beautiful, walkable, and always well maintained, with plenty of spots to relax or grab a coffee. It’s also a favorite place to bring friends and clients because it really captures the Malibu lifestyle — casual, coastal, and welcoming. A classic Malibu destination for both locals and visitors.

Very nice spot surrounded by restaurants and stores. Perfect park in the middle for kids. Stroller friendly. Free parking.

**⭐ Warning to All Exotic Car Owners If your car doesn’t have a front license plate, be careful — you *will* get ticketed here. This shopping center is notorious for it. Parking enforcement hides behind bushes and tickets you the moment you leave your car. It cost me 58 dollars. It really ruins the experience, which is a shame because it’s otherwise a great place to visit — nice beach views, great restaurants, bars, and fun for the whole family. Just make sure you have your front plate on before you go!
Dmitry A — Google review
Comfortable outdoor plaza with shade trees, umbrellas, seating, cool playground and interesting artwork, including the “Big Red” hammer. There’s a consciousness of naturalness to the mix, with some healthy menu items to choose from. Restaurants of the Mart range from simple snacks and meals to top notch cuisine and most provide al fresco dining options! Upscale shops are typically trendy and pricey. There’s plenty of parking with overflow parking along the east side of Cross Creek Road. Restrooms are located discreetly around to the west side, out of view of lounging patrons.
Jim K — Google review
I've stopped going after they started giving $58 no front plate tickets to everybody. I've seen entire rows of cars with tickets, and the fine is double the LA fine. I will spend my money elsewhere.

I have been visiting Malibu Country Mart ever Sunday for the past few weeks to see all of the amazing cars that come and park up or drive through. It really is a fantastic meet up. Also there are a lot of very nice stores and restaurants.

We stop here on every trip to the Southern California area. It has lots of shops for clothing, shoes, accessories. Food and coffee are available also. Plenty of parking. Nice to walk around between the few different shopping areas to enjoy some nice Malibu weather.

Zuma Beach is a popular surfing spot located along the Pacific Coast Highway, boasting 1.8 miles of sandy shoreline and equipped with lifeguard towers for safety. The Koenig Beach House, an impressive architectural gem by renowned architect Pierre Koenig, offers stunning ocean and coastline views down Broad Beach to Zuma Beach and Point Dume.
I love zuma beach, great beach. With the most amazing sunsets

Free parking can be hard to find. The only option for free parking is on the street, and you’ll likely need to arrive outside of peak hours to secure a spot. The beach itself is clean, less crowded, and generally peaceful—especially compared to Santa Monica. Public restrooms are available, but there are no public washing areas. Be prepared to share the beach with plenty of seagulls, which are a common sight here.
Sabhrant — Google review
Beautiful 1.8mi sandy beach with tons of street parking and a huge lot. There are showers in some spots. Great views of the coast and mountains.

We spent Father’s Day at Zuma Beach with friends, and it couldn’t have been better. Clean sand, beautiful views, and plenty of space to spread out even on a busy day. The water was perfect for wading and boogie boarding, and the lifeguards were super attentive. Parking was easy and close to the sand, which made hauling gear and coolers a breeze. Just an all-around perfect SoCal beach day. Highly recommend Zuma for families, friend groups, or anyone looking to enjoy the coast.
Lonney G — Google review
It's been a while since I visited Zuma Beach, and the atmosphere is a bit calmer than other places.
Dessert ( — Google review
After many years in California, Zuma Beach still tops my son and I list of favorite surf spots — best enjoyed off-peak, of course: Monday to Friday, outside holidays, and early mornings before the crowds wake up. This is Malibu at its purest — long golden stretches of sand, clean waves, and that endless Pacific view that makes weekday emails feel like a bad dream. Surf’s great midweek when it’s mostly locals and dolphins sharing the lineup. Yes, it’s definitely not rare to surf among dolphins, great and unforgettable experience that you never get bored of. Weekends? A bit of a scene — come early or embrace the parking safari. Personally I avoid it as much as I can, if I can. Pro tip: pack snacks, wax up, and stick around long enough to watch the sun turn the whole beach into liquid gold

My favourite beach in LA. Clean and quiet. In non-seasonal time parking just $3 instead $18 of summer time. Fresh air and great sunset is great spot to relax.
Ed T — Google review
Gorgeous sunset with a peaceful, calming view of the ocean and waves, soft light and cool breeze. Bring a light jacket if you plan to visit near dusk/sundown, the temperatures can drop around that time even in the summer. Parking can be found on 7301 Westward Beach Rd.

Specialty Museums
Nestled on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the Getty Villa is an architectural marvel inspired by a 1st-century Italian villa. This museum in Malibu, designed by Richard Meier, boasts classical architecture and serene gardens. It houses an impressive collection of Greek and Roman antiquities, including marble statues, mosaic floors, and Etruscan artwork. Visitors can explore replicas of ancient Roman architecture and admire artifacts such as frescoes from Pompeii and a bronze statue of an athlete.
This is a magnificent space and worth the trip. The gardens are beautiful and the exhibits are spectacular. It is said that there his is the most richly endowed museum in earth and it shows. It is immaculate and extraordinarily well maintained. It would be easy to spend hours upon hours exploring the artwork, artifacts, and the grounds. This is a can’t-miss experience.
Pamela B — Google review
This is my first time visiting this beautiful museum. I'm happy they protected the museum from the recent wild fire. The artifacts were in exceptional condition. I think next time I attend a group or semi private tour. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. This is a place to relax outside and walk into the museum at your own leisure. It is so serene with the view of the Pacific Ocean in the background.
Steve U — Google review
This place is unreal. The setting along PCH just east of Malibu close to the ocean is amazing. Went late September on a Thursday. Got there at 10 AM as they were opening and stayed a little over 1.5 hours. Parking was easy and $25. Admission is free so the overpriced parking didnt feel that bad. The museum is excellent and has lots of good Greek and Roman paintings, sculptures, and other artifacts. Had an Egyptian exhibit while I was there that was nice as well. But where this place shines IMO is in the building and the gardens. Impressive replica of an ancient Roman palace. So many details done right from the courtyards to the gardens to the galleries to the fountains. All amongst the back drop of the Pacific Ocean. Absolutely incredible. I didn't want to leave! Went to the Getty as well and thought this was even better, which speaks highly of this place. Was less crowded when I went compared to the Getty Center (went to both on same day).

The Getty Villa: An Ancient Roman Escape in Malibu The Getty Villa is arguably one of the most uniquely themed museums in the world. It is the perfect destination for anyone interested in Greek, Roman, and Etruscan antiquities, but the main draw for many visitors is the stunning environment itself. Modeled after the ancient Roman Villa dei Papiri in Herculaneum, the property transports you straight to the sun-drenched shores of the Mediterranean. The Architectural Experience (5/5 Stars) The architecture is the undisputed star of the show. The sprawling villa features magnificent courtyards, stunning mosaics, frescoes, and reflective pools that perfectly capture the essence of a first-century Roman estate. Walking through the Outer Peristyle with its 300-foot-long pool, surrounded by meticulously maintained gardens and bronze statues, is an experience in pure escapism. It’s hard to remember you are just off the Pacific Coast Highway in Los Angeles. While some critics view the detailed recreation as leaning toward "theme park," the sheer beauty and atmospheric quality of the design are compelling. The architecture is a powerful educational tool that provides context for the art housed within. The Collection and Exhibits (4/5 Stars) The collection is specialized, focusing exclusively on ancient Greek, Roman, and Etruscan art dating from 6,500 BC to AD 400. While the collection may not be as expansive as the world’s largest art institutions, its intimate focus allows for a deeper appreciation of the works. Highlights include beautiful black and red-figure vases, intricate jewelry, everyday household wares, and, most famously, a highly debated statue known as the Getty Kouros. The way the galleries are designed—often using natural light—allows the antiquities to be viewed beautifully, providing an immediate connection to the past. Gardens and Amenities The four distinct gardens—each styled after a different ancient Roman prototype—are delightful, offering tranquility and gorgeous photo opportunities. The Herb Garden is particularly fragrant and well-labeled. The museum is very visitor-friendly. General admission is always free (though a timed reservation is required), and the café offers reasonably priced and fresh food with a spectacular view of the amphitheater. The staff is knowledgeable and available for guided tours, which are highly recommended for understanding the context of the architecture and the art. Final Verdict The Getty Villa is more than a museum; it’s a beautifully realized piece of immersive architecture. It is an essential visit for anyone in the Los Angeles area, particularly those who appreciate ancient history, stunning views, and architectural grandeur. Plan to spend as much time outdoors enjoying the gardens and courtyards as you do inside the galleries. Tip: Book your free tickets well in advance, especially during peak season, and don't forget that parking requires a fee.
Shahrukh — Google review
An amazing museum complex, both in its architecture and in its fabulous collection of antiquities. The grounds are beautiful, the facilities high-class, and the art and artifacts on display, and in well-curated exhibits, are exceptional. It's always a top-notch draw for me when visiting the LA area.
Dave H — Google review
Visiting the Getty Villa is like stepping into another era—the museum perfectly captures the elegance and grandeur of ancient Rome and Greece. Every gallery is a treasure trove of meticulously preserved artifacts, from intricate sculptures to everyday objects that bring the ancient world to life. The attention to detail in both the collections and the villa itself makes the experience immersive and unforgettable. Walking through the gardens, surrounded by classical architecture and stunning ocean views, adds another layer of awe. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, an art lover, or simply curious, the Getty Villa offers a journey through antiquity that feels both intimate and monumental. Truly one of the finest museums for experiencing the beauty and sophistication of ancient civilizations.
Theo A — Google review
The Getty Villa in Santa Monica is one of the better day-adventures we have done in the greater Los Angeles area. The cafe has good Mediterranean food at a decent price (yes, they have beer and wine, too), and the photo opportunities here were endless! If you dig ancient history, architecture, and relaxing environments, this is should be on your bucket list.
Robert ( — Google review
A gorgeous place, our tour guide was very sweet and helpful at answering questions, it was so lovely to walk in the garden and look at all the beautiful designs. We were given plenty of time to look around and were even given paper to try and draw some art we liked (although that might have been because it was for a fieldtrip) Overall I'd definitely recommend but to keep in mind for people with younger family it is a greek museum so there is nudity in statues and in art, just something to keep in mind.

El Matador State Beach is a hidden gem nestled along the stunning Malibu coastline, featuring three charming cliff-foot beaches that are particularly popular during the summer months. This picturesque spot is renowned for its breathtaking rock formations and natural arches, making it a favorite among photographers and filmmakers seeking to capture its beauty at sunrise and sunset. The beach gained fame as the backdrop for an iconic scene in 'The Notebook,' where romantic moments unfold against Malibu's majestic coastal bluffs.
El Matador State Beach is very beautiful especially if you come on a day that the weather is nice. The parking lot is limited but if you come early or just lucky then you might find a spot. The walk down to the beach is not bad and the rocks layout there are beautiful. We came this morning to take our maternity pictures and it was amazing.

recently did a photoshoot at El Matador Beach in Malibu, and it was nothing short of breathtaking. This hidden gem offers dramatic cliffs, sea caves, and unique rock formations that make every shot feel cinematic. The natural light at golden hour was absolutely magical soft, warm, and perfect for capturing that dreamy, coastal aesthetic. The beach has a romantic, almost untouched feel to it, which added an organic, peaceful vibe to the shoot. Whether you’re aiming for editorial, lifestyle, engagement, or creative content, El Matador is an ideal backdrop. Just a heads-up: there’s a steep trail and stairs to get down to the sand, so wear comfortable shoes and travel light. Overall, El Matador Beach brought so much life and depth to my photos. I’d definitely go there again.

Only cost $10 to park. A lifeguard is on duty on the hill and can be down to you in a minute! The rock formations are so cool. One looks like an elephant!

This beach is particularly visit for photo sessions, it has rock area that simulates like a cave. Unfortunately was so pack that I couldn't take a good Pic this time. Parking lot available at entrance is $3 x hour, automatic machine available to pay. Easy access to the beach and beautiful scenic views, worth the drive.

Beautiful beach with convenient parking. The views at sunset were amazing. Be warned that the parking lot closes at sunset and they start to close the gate before that to stop people coming in.

Nobu Malibu, a beachfront restaurant by Iron Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, offers a fusion of Japanese delicacies and California cuisine in a modern setting. The minimalist design with Pacific Ocean views creates an ambiance perfect for enjoying new-school sushi and celebrity-spotting. Despite the high prices, the menu delivers on flavor with dishes like creamy uni tacos and yellowtail jalapeno sashimi.
Lunch with a view! Every dish was beautifully executed—flavourful, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully plated. The sauces and spices added depth without overpowering the natural flavour and freshness of the fish. Portions are on the smaller side, so you’ll likely need several dishes to feel full. Guests can easily spend $100+ per person, without drinks. Worth it for the quality and experience, but good to know in advance.
Katherine — Google review
Good food and great views. Service started out very well but once they got more busy, they kind of just forgot about us. Took a long time for dessert menus and after not coming back for our orders, we ended up skipping that and just settling the bill. It's a very pricey restaurant so I expected better than that.

Love Nobu Malibu! Of everything - you have to get the scallop truffle chips. The views are just impeccable, service is amazing, and quality is delicious. We tried the Nobu Signature Menu this time which came with 8 courses (4 cold and 4 hot). It was nice to give a taste into the restaurant.

First of all I didn’t know Nobu was a Japanese Peruvian fusion which made the whole experience even more interesting. We did the omakase and it was amazing. I loved the tiradito the wagyu nigiri the filet mignon and honestly almost everything. The drinks were also really good and at that price point that’s the least I expect. Overall it’s a once in a lifetime experience and I would say it’s worth it because the whole vibe there is just perfect

Absolutely immaculate vibes, location, atmosphere, service, and food that I would say make Nobu Malibu definitely worth the cost & the drive! I recently went to Nobu Malibu for a dinner date to celebrate our 10 year anniversary! Upon arriving with a reservation, we were promptly seated on the patio space that faces the ocean - I loved the views and the atmosphere here - 100% perfect! The sound of the crashing waves every few minutes, the warm..cozy lighting, the upscale and yet relaxing, chill atmosphere..I'm in love! There were also plenty of heat lamps above, so even on a chilly November evening, I actually felt a little bit hot! Service was EXTREMELY attentive, friendly, and helpful with giving information and advice on menu items/customizing things to personal preferences. Of the food we got here, the Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna was a definite favorite!! A perfect blend of the crunchy exterior and an explosion from within as you take a bite - perfectly subtle heat and spice to match the rest of the flavor profiles. Everything else we ordered was similarly high-quality and solid - the only thing we'd probably skip on a future visit is the Rock Shrimp Tempura..which honestly just tasted a bit mushy and bland. We also enjoyed a couple rounds of cocktails during our dinner - all the drinks were beautifully presented and had a good strength to them. My favorite of the evening was the Malibu Breeze - a great option for anyone who enjoys a lightly fruity cocktail! All in all, this was the perfect spot to celebrate 10 years together, and they gave us a wonderful evening. I definitely believe Nobu Malibu is worth the hype, especially when wishing to celebrate a special occasion!

Nobu Matsuhisa… you did it again! This is by far my favorite location of this restaurant. The beach is gorgeous and the atmosphere of the place is out of this world. Of course it is expensive but this is a go to place when you need to celebrate something! I will say though that they do not give free desert on your birthday!

Nobu Malibu is always an exceptional experience. The food is consistently outstanding, the service is polished and welcoming, and the oceanfront setting offers one of the best views in all of Malibu. Malibu Farm Pier Cafe is a charming breakfast and lunch spot located at the end of Malibu's iconic pier, offering stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. The cafe boasts a rustic yet dreamy coastal ambiance, making it an ideal setting for a refreshing meal or drinks.
Yesterday, I went again, but this time I wanted to sit down and have coffee with the beautiful view they have. I went to their coffee and gelato shop, which is different from the restaurant, but still the same people. I was so happy that two hours that I spent there not just because I had a wonderful coffee with the great view, but because these three people were so nice with me. The Argentinian girl was super helpful for explaining to me how it works because I wanted to sit down and have coffee instead of going to the restaurant upstairs so she explained how it works and she was super nice. Then the barista who is from Spain, was extremely nice and made my coffee exactly the way I wanted it with a huge smile on his face. The other guy helped me out and choose the best table so I can charge my phone. The three of them made me feel so good I didn’t want to leave! And I cannot wait to go back again. See you soon guys, see you soon San Diego!

Me and GF decided to try this place at the Malibu beach pier. They were understaffed and some in training(waiter wise) but all waiters still were friendly and polite. Food was delicious and warm, we had the chicken, steak and salmon options. Jade, was our server and he did fantastic. My only complaint is, I order a flight of beer but, they did not fill my glasses at least to the top for the price. But overall noce view of the ocean and good food, but pricey.

We found this place by chance while driving from Los Angeles — and it turned out to be an iconic spot for brunch! 🥞☕️ Parking is easy — there’s a paid lot nearby ($15 per hour). Just keep in mind that this place is always busy, so expect about a 30-minute wait. On sunny days, I’d recommend avoiding the outdoor seating — the sun gets really strong and you might end up sunburned. 🌞 We ordered the lobster burrito and the crab burger — both were absolutely divine! 🦞🍔 The seafood was fresh and flavorful, the portions generous, and the dishes surprisingly healthy — everything came with either salad or baby potatoes, no greasy sauces or heavy sides. The lemonade was fantastic, though the cappuccino could have been better. The staff was polite, though a few waiters came across as a bit aloof — probably because the place is always packed. Overall, we loved everything about it and would definitely come back again!

The look and taste of the food was very pleasing. I ordered the Fried Egg Sandwich, and the taste and portion worth its price, with the Surfer’s Rancheros. The atmosphere (interior and exterior) of the restaurant was also very gorgeous, along with the scenic ocean view.

Absolutely loved my experience at Malibu Farm Pier Café!The location alone is breathtaking, sitting right on the pier with the ocean literally beneath your feet makes it feel like a little piece of paradise. The vibe is relaxed, coastal, and effortlessly chic, perfect for brunch or sunset drinks. The food was so fresh and flavorful, you can really taste the farm-to-table quality. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the view… honestly, no words, it’s the kind of place that makes you stop and just take it all in. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food, stunning views, and that perfect Malibu atmosphere.

Restaurant
Taverna Tony is a lively Greek restaurant located in the Country Mart of Malibu. It offers hearty portions of traditional Greek cuisine and has outdoor seating, creating a charming ambiance for diners. The restaurant is known as a celebrity hotspot and has been attracting famous patrons for over two decades. With its rustic decor and local vibe, it's an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the main square.
I had dinner at Taverna Tony in Malibu and it was an amazing experience. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, giving a true taste of Greek hospitality. For appetizers, we had the Saganaki, which was super delicious, and the Meze plate — a great sampler of all the classic dips — paired with Taverna fries. We also enjoyed a fresh and flavorful Greek salad. For the main course, we shared the Taverna combination platter, which came with huge portions, perfect for sharing. Make sure you come hungry! Overall, a fantastic meal and definitely a must-visit spot in Malibu.

We stopped by for a light lunch. The atmosphere was great, quiet, and the food was wonderfully clean and neat. We were seated on the outdoor patio, and I kept noticing the sound of chirping birds—until one of them pooped right from the ceiling, and part of it landed on my second daughter’s head! It was certainly a good memory turned into an unforgettable one! The appetizer bread and deep sauce were truly outstanding and the highlight of the meal. The other dishes weren't quite to my personal taste, so we only ate some and took the rest home.

I ordered the slow-cooked lamb, and it was served literally one minute later—clearly pre-prepared and pre-plated. That said, the lamb itself was absolutely phenomenal—possibly the best in the area. Truly delicious. Unfortunately, the accompanying dishes didn’t match the quality of the lamb. The potatoes had way too much lemon, and the overall presentation of the plate felt sloppy. Honestly, forget the sides—just come for the lamb. A few other things to note: the glass on the table was unstable and moved around, which made dining a bit uncomfortable. The ambiance, especially outside, is actually quite nice. Service was just okay. I drove 30 minutes to try this place. Despite the flaws, the lamb made it worth the trip—but I wouldn’t come back.

Taverna Tony is such a charming and lively Greek restaurant! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with beautiful décor and traditional music that makes you feel like you’re in Greece. The food is absolutely delicious — everything is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The service is excellent; the staff are attentive, friendly, and make you feel at home. Portions are generous, and the outdoor patio is perfect for a relaxing meal. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Malibu!

My girlfriend’s family is from the area so this is a staple for them and they knew Tony when he used to manage it more actively. I’m so excited I got to come a few times. There’s something about this place that I just love… everything is clean and Mediterranean. The service is attentive and friendly. The food is really good and well portioned. I love their special dip that comes with hearty bread right when you sit down. We get the Spanokopeta every time and also have had the Lam Souvlaki and the Moussaka. Very good! Definitely save room for the Baklava.

We had lunch here today. The homemade dip is incredible. The lamb kabobs were juicy & just melted in your mouth. Lovely ambiance.

We had a delicious lunch after our trip to the beach. The menu options were many and the service was good. The atmosphere and front patio was relaxing for a delicious and large shrimp salad. Highly recommend.

Seafood restaurant
Neptune's Net is a classic seafood joint in Malibu that has been a favorite among bikers for years. It offers two dining options: the 'Restaurant Side' with fried food and bottled drinks, and the 'Seafood Side' with fresh catches and draft beer. The restaurant's laid-back charm has made it a popular filming location for movies and TV shows.
My family and I stopped here after a day at the beach. We were all craving some fried fish and this was a spot they had been to before. Despite being a pretty busy Sunday afternoon, there was lots of seating inside and outside with a beautiful overlook of the sea. You order inside by grabbing a drink from the fridges and then picking from an array of (mostly fried) fish options. They had other food choices but we all got different fish. Food came out super quick, we probably only waited about 5 minutes and everything was hot and fresh and super filling. There is a condiment bar where you can grab your own sauces and coleslaw. Their cocktail sauce has a little bit of a kick to it! The food itself wasn't salted, so you did have to salt it yourself, but I understand that helps appeal to a wider audience. They also had a separate part where you could order fresh fish but we didn't go in there. They also had some fun merch items and I did end up getting these sandals that were in the shape of crabs 🦀 Overall we really enjoyed our meal. The only downside is I felt like the food was on the pricier side. So if you go with your family, expect to pay at least $100 if everyone wants a drink and their own item.

Great spot on the beach. The seafood is so tasty. I got the shrimp and chips which were breaded and fried just right. Can't beat the view of the Pacific from your table. Their menu is huge so many great items to choose from.

Neptune’s Net is a great seafood shack along the coast in Beautiful Malibu the experience to eat right in front of the Pacific Ocean is Priceless! The food is usually Fresh and well prepared but some of their dishes could use a bit more seasoning. The clam chowder was really good, the seafood platter was good but not really the best, the shrimp plate was a little better! The staff are super nice and the place is pretty clean if you don’t mind all the pigeons trying to steal your food!

Really nice spot and definitely a must-go for Fast and Furious fans! My husband and I ordered the shrimp and fries, they were good, although I was expecting the shrimp to be a bit bigger considering the price. It is on the pricey side, but that’s expected for such a famous spot in Malibu. It was pretty crowded, but the process is simple: you order at the counter and then grab a table. Overall, a great experience!

On our way through Malibu on a recent road trip, we couldn't resist stopping at the iconic Neptune's Net. We weren't disappointed! We ordered fish and chips, and the seared ahi tuna salad (there's a choice of dressing, but try the ranch). Two large pieces of fish, with plenty of fries. And, days later, I'm still thinking about that big piece of perfectly seared ahi, on top of the salad. So good. And of course, the ambiance here is also unmatched - the bustle, indoor/outdoor seating, the beach just across the street. We will definitely return next time we're in Malibu!

Rolling up the Pacific Coast Highway for the first time, I couldn’t resist pulling over at the iconic Neptune’s Net—because let’s be honest, if it’s good enough for Dom and Brian, it’s good enough for me (yes, a little Fast and Furious nod there). This spot radiates pure California vibes: ocean breeze, surfboards cruising by, and that laid-back energy you can’t fake. The food? Classic and satisfying. My family went for burgers and fries from their broad menu, and every bite hit the spot. Between the ocean views, easygoing service, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile, Neptune’s Net is the definition of a must-stop along the PCH. Next time we’re in the area, we’ll be back—and you should add it to your list too.

The food was good. I had the breakfast sandwich which I thought was very good and the crabcakes were very decent too! Unfortunately, it is priced like a tourist attraction so bring your credit card.

Fast service! The food was great, although a bit pricey. They charge $1.50 for soda refills on regular size fountain drinks. Beautiful view of Malibu beach across the street. Plenty of parking. The Knucklehead cheeseburger was $23 and came with shoestring fries. Soda was paid separately.

Nestled along the stunning coastline, Malibu Seafood Fresh Fish Market & Patio Cafe is a delightful no-frills destination for seafood lovers. This charming spot has been delighting patrons since 1972, serving up some of the freshest catches straight from the ocean to your plate. With picnic table seating that allows you to soak in breathtaking ocean views and breathe in the salty sea air, it’s an ideal place to enjoy a casual meal.
Oh my heavens! DO NOT MISS!! Seafood is fresh, many selections, everything we got was delicious and everything we saw we said I'll get that next time. The onion rings looked great but the fries were very good too. Here's how it works. Stand in line. Walk in the door, order and pay. You get a buzzer. Walk out the door at the register and go to the left side of the building where you wait for your buzzer to notify you that your order is ready. OR, find a table so you have a place to eat and wait for your order. The line was very long but the staff is extremely efficient, fast and friendly. They did give a refill on tea and it is delicious as well.

I timed my visit to arrive right at opening (11am) but the lot was already full, so I paid for parking next door. Ended up waiting in line for about 30 minutes, which wasn’t too bad given the Labor Day crowd. Ordered the two fish and fries along with the New England clam chowder — both were fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth the wait. Scored a great spot at one of the outdoor picnic benches, right near the water fountain, which made the meal even better. Plenty of seating overall and the ocean views really add to the experience. A classic Malibu stop that lives up to the hype.

Malibu Seafood, October 5, 2025 My daughter's sister said you got to try this place so we decided to & why not if you're coming out to Malibu, CA for the beach 🏖️ or just enjoying a drive up & down the PCH you can't go wrong especially if you ❤️ seafood! Malibu Seafood is so Awesome! With so many different kinds of seafood to choose from as you can see on their menu plus other stuff also like different kinds of bread to eat with their clam chowder sourdough bread 🍞 or a bagel 🥯 or a baguette 🥖 for later & OMG! 🤤 The "Fish & Chips" are to die for they are so freaking good perfectly battered & the french fries just have that amazing taste to them also plus the clam chowder & the shrimp tacos 🍤 🌮 ! So no matter what you order you can't go wrong! Please don't forget the extra tartar sauce & the malt vinegar or the ketchup or the hot sauce 🌶️ some people enjoy that & the butter 🧈. Note: the outside eating areas can get very busy to find a table but you can & I ❤️ the "No Dogs" 🐕 sign but you still see them there! L🤣L! The view is breath taking of the ocean 🌊 & you can see the PCH right there as you eat it's so beautiful. Thank You to everyone here at Malibu Seafood for making our first time here a very wonderful & exciting day with all of the food & the smell of fresh seafood & the sights & sounds of people enjoying life & just eating & making everlasting memories. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'s & 💯%+ for the service & for the food & everything else. Great Job Y'all!!! 👏 😎👍

This spot operates as a fish market from 10 AM and a restaurant from 11 AM, so everything is very fresh. The food was absolutely delicious and felt like it had just come out of the ocean. Be prepared for lines on weekends—I recommend taking a photo of the menu while waiting so you’re ready when it’s your turn to order. After placing your order at the counter, they’ll give you a buzzer so you can grab a seat while your food is prepared. There are three patio areas for outdoor seating. Some have partial shade, but on hot days, it can be uncomfortable—umbrellas are limited. Parking is a challenge: there’s a $12 lot, a few free spots nearby, and the option to try your luck on the PCH. Even the paid lot fills up fast. There are a couple of restrooms, but they were pretty dirty on our Sunday visit. One note: dogs technically don’t seem to be allowed on the patio, but I did see a few around. If your dog is quiet and well-behaved, it seems like staff and guests are okay with it.

About an hour long line, standing in the sun, to place an order. Took about 20 minutes for the order to be ready. I ordered fish and chips, shrimp tacos, fish tacos, a grilled salmon platter, and a couple of fountain drinks. They only have one size fountain drink. It’s about the size of a medium drink at most places. The drink didn’t stand a chance after standing in line. The food was good. I was hoping for an amazing meal, especially for the cost. It was good, not OMG good. The tacos didn’t look like the picture in the reviews. No shredded cabbage or lettuce? There was a lot of sauce on both tacos. No flavors stood out. It was all one note. The fish and chips were excellent as also the salmon, rice and coleslaw. Parking in the parking lot isn’t something I would plan on. The restroom was clean. Overall decent experience. Right on PCH, across from the beach. Neat local historic place. Also, looks like a place where you can eat outside with your dog [ITS NOT]. There are signs in multiple locations around the building and dining areas that prohibit dogs.

Fish tacos were pretty good but not great. (My October 2025 spooky video review goes more in depth). The TLDW: It's shredded fish not whole fish and salsa wasn't as spicy as I would prefer. They seem to be liked, if not loved, by many as there was a line literally out the door and around the side. I will be going back and will update the review once I get a chance to see if their score goes up or down. Overall score: 4.25 out of 5 Recommend to try: Yes Affordability: 2 tacos plus a drink = approximately $18 So a bit higher than what I would like but considering the area it's reasonable and definitely better than just getting McDonald's, etc. & more than likely better for you.

Awesome fried seafood! The fish and chips and the fried shrimp were both excellent. The patio seating with ocean views really adds to the coastal vibe. This is a must-visit spot when you’re in Malibu.

Really excellent basic fish shack kinda place. The seafood, however, is excellent. Great laid back vibe, welcoming staff. A tradition. Update: just had one of my best meals in LA here. Fresh grilled corvina, Cole slaw and fries. Extremely simple but each element was perfect and they all worked together. Pro tip: if the MS specials board says fresh grilled anything, order the anything. The freshest fish goes from the docks to the specials board . Oh, and their tartare sauce is more like aoli.
