Wineries & Vineyards
Stanton & Killeen Wines, a historic winery with seven generations of experience and 143 years of tradition, is nestled in the fertile lands of Rutherglen. The vineyards boast 90-year-old Shiraz vines that produce outstanding fruit for their exclusive and unique wines. After a brief closure in the 1930s, the vineyard was revived in 1968 by Norman Killeen, who married into the Stanton family.
This was the BEST tasting I have had at a winery, so warm and friendly yet passionate thank you Stuart. It was so refreshing to see someone else hold a small-batch high quality mindset and beautifully articulate that in a rustic and cozy manner. From the moment we entered, it did not feel commercial - more like a family of passionate wine-makers eager to share their project with you. This was the only wine tasting where I did not feel rushed, if anything we felt like we overstayed the session after a good 40 minutes of discussion and also a mini tour of the barrels and back area which Stuart kindly shared with us as it was a quieter day. The wines were delicious and I would highly recommend their full bodied reds , but of course the main reason I decided to choose this winery - THE PORT. We purchased an exquisite $120 port which was one of their premium ones however even the base port was delicious. Well worth the money, and I can't wait to have fond memories every time I sip on the port with my husband and family who came up to Rutherglen with us. Wineries should actively seek out people like Stuart - they are rare. In a fast and high volume transactional world, it is a golden moment to meet someone who cherishes prime quality process and outcomes such as the wines at SK. I can't recommend this more, and will be doing a lot of shout outs at my cooking school when we discuss wine pairings and recommendations for Victoria. I went to that IGA you recommended to get that special local Lamb and it was DELICIOUS - good recommendation and a nice NYE celebration. Thank you Stuart! Warm regards, Tanya from Heavenly Morsel

We had a fantastic hens day party hosted by Stanton & Killeen. Sarah and Sam were so helpful in organising the day and ensuring everything was in place when we arrived. Zalan and the other staff were wonderful on the day, greeting us with a delicious on theme cocktail, having everything ready for our paint and sip, yummy platters and providing a fun tour of the cellar. There were multiple beautiful spaces for us to use, a shady outdoor area, cellar door, barrel room and the speakeasy. Wines were delicious and generous. Great value for money too! Thank you so much for having us and providing a wonderful experience. I highly recommend S&K for events and to visit for their cellar door experience.

Great wines . We arrived on Sunday the 26 of October and Jess served us, excellent customer service. Knowledge of wine was excellent. Was run off her feet but still made us feel welcome. Thank you Geoff

Fantastic experience today. Came in for a tasting and the staff member was absolutely amazing. Really friendly, great for a chat and knowledgeable about the wines. Passionate about the brand and a fantastic ambassador. The wines were delicious. We weren't pressured to buy anything (but did happily). Wines and fortifieds were delicious and unique. Each flavour was distinct and tasting notes on point. Overall, very impressed with the visit and will be recommending to friends and family to visit.

Had an absolutely fabulous wine tasting with Jess who had a great sense of humour and knowledge of the wines. Took us through the whole tasting with such fun and a good laugh. Definitely visit here!

We came in for a tasting that was ran by Ellen and Jess yesterday. They were extremely knowledgeable and made the whole experience enjoyable! This was our favourite tasting experience in Rutherglen. Thank you for having us! We will be back 😊

Absolutely fantastic winery with so many different varieties that I've never tried but am eager to include in my wine rack going forward. Beautiful location with a positive and delightful atmosphere. Perfect spot to spend a couple hours with friends or family. Was extra pleased to meet the *infamous* Josie the Jack Russell from the latest Quinta Quarterly whilst there. *Special shoutout to Steve who made the tasting superb with his engaging, fun and informative style. Can't wait to come back!

Amazing time at the Stanton and Killeen Muscat Blending Experience. Natasha took us on a very informative tour of the wine making facilities - so much history! Then we did the muscat blending with winemaker Adrian carefully explaining each step of the process. It gave us a genuine experience of how the wines come together. Best of all, we got to take away our own specialized bottle of muscat refined to our exact taste :)

All Saints Estate, established in 1864 at Wahgunyah, is a historic Murray River winery with a new cellar door and two upcoming restaurants. The estate features a crenellated folly surrounded by formal English gardens and offers an extensive selection of wines, including the renowned museum-class muscat made from 100-year-old liqueur.
Had amazing time here. The grounds are stunning. The tour of the cellars and wine tasting were excellent. Lunch at Kin restaurant was as a highlight

Lovely Winnery. Classic buildings and a super restaurant. We stopped by for a Pizza Lunch in the ordinary restaurant, which was great, nice environment and tasty food at a fair price. But there is a premium full service restaurant as well for special occasions. 😎👍👍👍👍

All Saints Estate is a classic winery experience with a modern twist. Cellar door Tastings are $15 per person, or you can enjoy a whole glass in the restaurant for roughly the same. There's an enticing menu inspired by local produce. Picnicing is encouraged in the formal gardens. There's an enticing line up of entertainment if you want to make a weekend of it. A destination worth seeking out.
Donna M — Google review
I had a terrible experience here. There are so many other wineries in the area that could be recommended before All Saints. I popped in to purchase a Mother's Day bottle. I purchased a single, mid-range bottle from the cellar door. The disdain and indifference my purchase was shown left a very sour taste. I stood there, awkwardly waiting to pay, for an eternity, while the server chatted with a customer about maybe joining the wine club. Every other winery I attended in Rutherglen and surrounds was a warm and endearing experience.

Lovely stop for wine tasting and looked after perfectly by Robin. Great host who was friendly, welcoming and professional. She made the experience for us. Thank you Robin. Very nice set up and great wines.

We stopped by for a quick lunch and look around, what a beautiful estate, and our pizza we all shared was just delicious, best base dough I have ever tasted. We paired it with a Pinot Grigio, just perfect. Could had sat by the lake there all afternoon. Definitely will be back.

The restaurant, located in the historic Jolimont Cellars, provides a superb dining atmosphere with a fairy-lit courtyard and fountain. Guests can also enjoy comfortable accommodation overlooking picturesque vineyards. The wine tasting experience is highly praised for its informative and entertaining staff who are not pushy to buy.
Had a dinner in a rainy night in their wine bar. The waiter was very kind! Food wise: the quality and the quantity were good. The soft crab was very tasty, the cheese platter was delicious (loved the crackers!), the dessert with the fairy floss a funny experience. The location is well designed too.

4.5 ⭐️ The service was impeccable from the wine cellar to the well trained restaurant staff. Ambience is cosy and you could easily nestle in for a chunk of time with a great glass of red. All of the food was great, although the steak could be seasoned slightly better. The wines alone are well priced and worth the 5 stars.

Lovely dinner out in Rutherglen. Interesting and tasty dishes, everything we tried was consistently great! I think it’s a high 4 star since nothing felt like a standout or was particularly memorable. I would neither rush to come back nor rave about it. Definitely a great place to dine out though.

We visited the cellar door in Rutherglen today, we are very glad that we did. We had an amazing tasting with Paul, he was informative and entertaining. We worked in Cellar doors in the Margaret River region so it was lovely to compare and talk wine with Paul. We tried some amazing wines and of course had to buy. We’ve done a lot of tastings over the years and this has been one of our favourites. Thanks Paul, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with you. Would also like to say, the venue is amazing. 5 stars for the wine quality. 4 stars for the accomodation and facility condition. 2.5 Stars for the Restaurant and Staff. 29/7/25 A new exhibition featuring Lockhart River artist Patrick Butcher Jnr and Anmatyerre artist Kudditji Kngwarreye is showing under the title of "Colour Fields". The cellar door offers tastings in a relaxed environment with tables and seating provided. The tasting experience is enhanced through a collaboration with Aboriginal Exhibitions Gallery with paintings hung at the cellar door area and a large gallery to the rear. The gallery is part of the North East Art Trail which includes The Plough Inn at Tarrawingee and Must Love Dogs in Rutherglen. 29/12/22 Went with a group for a tasting of some whites. The Prosecco and the White were standouts with the latter having won multiple awards. The cellar door staff were attentive and provided helpful information on the wines. A Turbo Brown exhibition has replaced the Lockhart River works over the past week and two pieces have already sold. The works are striking and the animal and bird subject cannot help but make you smile. Purchased a case of six 2020 Shelly's Block for $48 which is a real bargain. A good selection of bin ends is still available. The gallery holds a large selection of works from Trevor "Turbo" Brown, a Victorian artist with works held by many public Australian galleries. His whimsical subjects are guaranteed to raise a smile. 12/3/23 Tastes of Rutherglen weekend where we attended the wine masterclass with our host David. Superb range of wines offered with their Renaissance range and sparkling Shiraz Durifs the standouts.

Campbells Wines, with over 146 years of experience in Rutherglen, is a family-owned winery that prides itself on passion and producing modern, characteristic wines. The fifth-generation winemaker, Bill Chambers, embodies the rich history of the region and the dedication to continuing the family's winemaking traditions. The hands-on approach and unwavering commitment to quality are evident in their range of wines.
I had the pleasure of spending a relaxing afternoon at the Sunset Drinks event held at Campbells Wines, accompanied by some of my family members. As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, we were treated to a truly memorable experience. We started off by savoring a glass of Campbells' exquisite wine, each sip a testament to the craftsmanship and dedication that goes into their winemaking process. The ambiance was further elevated by the mouth-watering meal prepared by the exceptionally talented Chef Nick Gardener from Sticks Catering, who also happens to be the assistant winemaker at Campbells Wines. @chefnickgardner. The culinary delight included succulent chicken cooked in sage butter, perfectly paired with pearl couscous that added a delightful texture. The dish also featured charred corn, heirloom tomatoes bursting with flavor, and a smooth corn cream, all topped with the crispy, savory goodness of chorizo crumbs. To add a refreshing twist, the plate was finished with a pickled fennel and saffron salad, bringing together a harmonious blend of flavors that danced on the palate. As we indulged in this culinary masterpiece, our senses were further enchanted by a gifted local musician Patrick Russell whose repertoire included a selection of timeless classics. Patrick provided the perfect soundtrack to our evening creating a fun and relaxing atmosphere as the sun set, casting a golden glow over the vineyard.

Excellent wines, excellent staff and service and wonderful grounds. We stumbled across this winery and decided to visit based on the great reviews. Safe to say it didn’t disappoint and we will definitely be back. The cheese boards also looked amazing!!!

Visited Cambells Wines and had an unforgettable experience. The main highlight, of course, was their outstanding wine — an incredible selection, especially the reds, full of richness and character. We also enjoyed a beautifully prepared cheese and meat platter, rich in variety and flavor. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with warm and professional service. A truly special place for wine lovers!

Campbell's Wines is set in stunning gardens on the edge of Rutherglen. The cellar door offers complimentary tastings, a wine club, and local produce. Blended wines represent something unique. For an earthy experience meander through the barrels or sit by the fireplace in Winter.

Chambers Rosewood Winery & Vineyards is a charming, family-owned establishment with a rich history dating back to 1858. The winery has been in the Chambers family for over six generations, and today it is run by Stephen Chambers, who took over operations in 2001. Visitors can expect a warm welcome and personalized service at the cellar door, where they can sample an array of wines made on-site.
My wife and I drove up from Melbourne yesterday on our way to Yarrawonga to celebrate my birthday. I love this winery and had the pleasure to to a wine tasting privately. We ended up taking two boxes home. Moscato Muscatel Boutique cordial A wonderful experience and so happy we stopped.

Had an awesome time at this winery! The staff were super friendly and really knew their stuff—they made the whole experience fun and informative. The atmosphere was really welcoming and laid-back, perfect for just relaxing and enjoying some great wine (also the tasting is only $5 which is a steal). Their Muscat was incredible—easily the best I’ve ever tasted. If you’re into wine or just want a friendly atmosphere this is a must visit!

I had likley one of the best experiences at Chambers Winery! I booked for an early tasting as they opened. I love older, more rustic looking wineries, and this is just thst with all of the wines made on-site. It was a slow day, and the lovely staff took me for a tour of everything from the fruit picking to the maturation chambers! All while sampling some of the best muscat, and wines around. Could not have had a more lovely time. If you are in the area go visit them!

A brilliant place to visit, and pleasant walk away from the centre of Rutherglen. Helpful staff, and a rustic, warm and welcoming winery to visit. And it's the home of some of Australia's legendary wines - the fortified muscat, topaque and port, extraordinary creations that deserve much wider appreciation.

Chambers Rosewood Winery has a wide selection of wines and fortified wines. The tastings we did were so enjoyable and the staff were so friendly. The last time we were here was during the Rutherglen Winery Walkabout and this place was rocking it with a great band. Truly an enjoyable and down to earth place to enjoy an hour or so. It serves cheese platters too.

With its spacious interior reminiscent of a wine cellar, it boasts an impressive collection of bottles from local vineyards and exceptional selections from Australia and beyond. What a gem. Planned a pub meal at the Vic in the main drag of Rutherglen tonight but fully booked Took myself 4 doors down to Thousand Pound, geez I’m glad I did ! Our recent dinner at One Thousand Pound wine bar epitomised how skilfully crafted food, served in a relaxed yet attentive atmosphere, can be utter joy. To the kitchen, bravo. Front of house, also, bravo. Accolades to the menu writers, we would have liked to sample everything. We noted the focus on local wines too. Special mention of the Murray Cod salad, yum. Both the food and wine demand your attention, congratulations to the team.

Truely wonderful experience! The service was exemplary from start to finish and at the same quality as my meal - a true joy! I got the Venison Pho - my favourite food is Pho and I’ve been to Vietnam a few times, so finding a new favourite bowl was surprising and joyful. Do yourself a favour and heat a TP Negroni while you’re at it Thanks Thousand Pound!

We had a great night at Thousand Pound when we arrived to Rutherglen. The starters we had were amazing - duck wings!!! The artichoke risotto was surprising good with a lot of artichoke but the steak was a bit blue compared to the medium rare that we ordered. Our host, Tiernan, was amazing and gave us great recommendations to go with our meals. But all the staff were great. Would recommend!!

Dropped in early evening for a chill out before going to my intended camp site on the Murray River. I was alone for most of my visit but a group turned up and I had a conversation at the bar. I enjoyed the wine & beer! The decor is good too. Very friendly & smiling staff to be had here!

Had a fantastic time here for a small family celebration. Staff were super friendly and attentive with good banter. Good was delicious too and of course the wine! We also got a few cocktails which were also yummy. Items in the picture include the gnocchi, flathead fillets, croquettes, potato cakes and the ham and cheese puff.

We went there on Tuesday night, billed as their Neighbourhood Night. Only one main and one dessert. Service was very good and meal was also very good. Atmosphere was convivial. Only negative was the exorbitant wine price. One bottle was $60 more than the retail price from the Winery. That's almost 3 times the retail price. I understand the need to make a profit but cannot condone this magnitude of mark up.

Next stop on our Rutherglen pub crawl was Grace Bar + Eatery – what a find! Kicked off with a beautiful glass of local Shiraz, then shared the lamb croquettes, fish and chips, and the incredible choux bomb. Every single dish was exceptional: perfectly executed and packed with flavour. Love the small-plate style here – it’s the ideal way to keep tasting your way around the menu without getting full too quickly. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

We had an amazing meal at Grace Bar Rutherglen! The house-made sourdough was the perfect start, followed by the prosciutto and cheddar croquettes – absolutely delicious. Nestled on the picturesque grounds of All Saints Estate, Bonnie is a delightful lakeside pizzeria that perfectly embodies a relaxed family dining experience. This charming eatery, named in honor of the winery's Scottish roots, offers an inviting atmosphere with its country chic decor and artisanal wood-fired pizzas. Guests rave about the delectable Stella pizza topped with prawns, confit garlic, and chili oil—an absolute must-try!
The pizzas were fantastic, the pizza bases were on point and toppings, delicious. The wife and I enjoyed the coffee and the kids are accommodated with a kid friendly selection of drinks. Worth coming here even if you are not a wine drinker. The grounds are well maintained creating a welcoming atmosphere, with a rich history and the staff were fantastic and happy to explain the history and the processes in producing fortified wines and mascots. Definitely will be back, see you again soon.

Popped in for lunch today with the kids, food and drink were lovely! Pizzas had creative blends of flavors and were just lovely! Only comment from me would be including a couple of child friendly options and another dairy free option (perhaps a dairy free cheese). Not being picky, just have a child with allergies and there was only one menu item he could have. We were lucky enough to score a bottle of brut here when it wasn’t available at the All Saints Cellar Door. Worthwhile checking out for lunch if your at All Saints.

Lake Moodemere Estate is a sustainable winery located on the shores of Lake Moodemere, an offshoot of the Murray River. Run by Michael and Belinda Chambers, whose family has been involved in winemaking for seven generations, the estate prides itself on minimal handling and low intervention approach to winemaking. The Lakeside Restaurant & Wine Bar offers a taste of their produce with picturesque views of the natural surroundings.
Visiting the Rutherglen wine region with friends we were recommended to visit Lake Moodemere estate for lunch with a view - and was so grateful for the recommendation. Upon arrival we were offered a complimentary wine tasting by the owner which was so delicious that half of us immediately signed up for a membership. We then were seated outside with a view of the lake and a light refreshing breeze whilst we dined on delicious estate lamb (not to be missed) , curly beer battered fries and salad whilst sipping on a delicious, full bodied rose. Very reasonable prices, friendly service and our favourite meal of our stay! 100% recommend.

We went for wine tasting. Lovely location, wines are okay...but very poor hospitality. The owner was not too keen to explain much to us. His explanation of wines and the region to the people on table next to us were elaborate, whereas for us it was a sentence or two....typical. The french girl who took over half way through was sweet, lot more elaborate and friendly.

The estate is in a tranquil environment which is relaxing, and the staff were commendable. The pasta was absolutely delicious and so was the lemon tart dessert. The lady who bought out my dessert had even put a candle in it, as she had found out it was my birthday. It was a very nice surprise and made the day even more special. Thank you!

we had our wedding here on the 13 sep 2025. what an amazing place and the service was perfect. the food was divine and the wines were exquisite. highly recommended, and the service the owners provided was way and beyond what i expected. the actual winery is beautiful next to the lake and with its beautiful trees and old estate home was truly beyond belief. thank you so much. everything was perfect and we highly recommend everyone to have a wedding or private party here. thank you for everything

We had a wine tasting and lunch. I cannot recommend the wines enough, there was not one I didn’t like and that’s a first for any winery I have visited. Sheree took us through the list and was so knowledgeable about the product, family and area. It was so interesting. The sustainable practices also added to their story and may also explain one of the many points of difference with Moodemere wines. We followed up with an equally impressive lunch, the chef is to be commended. We were blown away by the slow cooked lamb (which is from the property), curly fries which were like clouds, breads ,dips and truly unbelievable spring rolls. We finished with a glass of wine overlooking the lake area. I don’t often leave reviews but our visit was so exceptional I couldn’t resist !

Such a lovely relaxing setting. The cottage was well appointed & met all our needs. All boxes ticked. I would definitely recommend especially for the serenity alone.

Great lunch venue and some superb red wine wine. Outdoor setting very pleasant plus a good food selection, whether snacking or feeling like settling in for a long lunch.
