Lovely quiet night in Rutherglen, which was prime ground for a lovely drink and exceptional food. Staff were welcoming and friendly and the beef skewer was a brilliant combination of Asian fusion flavours. Next time I’ll be back for a full feast.

We had a lovely night .. food was tasty ..staff were friendly .. company was good .. we had MBS7 sreak with mash, rainbow trout with kiffler potatoes and then we had muscat affogato for desert. All was top notch. Do yourself a flavour and check it out.

Our recent dinner at One Thousand Pound wine bar epitomised how skilfully crafted food, served in a relaxed yet attentive atmosphere, can be utter joy. To the kitchen, bravo. Front of house, also, bravo. Accolades to the menu writers, we would have liked to sample everything. We noted the focus on local wines too. Special mention of the Murray Cod salad, yum. Both the food and wine demand your attention, congratulations to the team.

Truely wonderful experience! The service was exemplary from start to finish and at the same quality as my meal - a true joy! I got the Venison Pho - my favourite food is Pho and I’ve been to Vietnam a few times, so finding a new favourite bowl was surprising and joyful. Do yourself a favour and heat a TP Negroni while you’re at it Thanks Thousand Pound!

We had a great night at Thousand Pound when we arrived to Rutherglen. The starters we had were amazing - duck wings!!! The artichoke risotto was surprising good with a lot of artichoke but the steak was a bit blue compared to the medium rare that we ordered. Our host, Tiernan, was amazing and gave us great recommendations to go with our meals. But all the staff were great. Would recommend!!

Dropped in early evening for a chill out before going to my intended camp site on the Murray River. I was alone for most of my visit but a group turned up and I had a conversation at the bar. I enjoyed the wine & beer! The decor is good too. Very friendly & smiling staff to be had here!

Whenever I visit Rutherglen, this restaurant is always top of my list for places to eat as well as a great selection of wine. Always enjoy the tapas style starters and the hanger steak is cooked perfectly.

We went there on Tuesday night, billed as their Neighbourhood Night. Only one main and one dessert. Service was very good and meal was also very good. Atmosphere was convivial. Only negative was the exorbitant wine price. One bottle was $60 more than the retail price from the Winery. That's almost 3 times the retail price. I understand the need to make a profit but cannot condone this magnitude of mark up.

Had a fantastic time here for a small family celebration. Staff were super friendly and attentive with good banter. Good was delicious too and of course the wine! We also got a few cocktails which were also yummy. Items in the picture include the gnocchi, flathead fillets, croquettes, potato cakes and the ham and cheese puff.

Awesome experience! We sat at the bar and had a phenomenal dinner. Erica, one of the owners, personally served us some incredible wine and food and also gave us some recommendations. Went for the neighbourhood dinner, and it didn't disappoint. Will be returning for another feed and to try the cocktails!

We had an amazing meal at Grace Bar Rutherglen! The house-made sourdough was the perfect start, followed by the prosciutto and cheddar croquettes – absolutely delicious. The standout was the eye fillet steak – melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Beautiful food, great atmosphere, and top-notch service. Highly recommend if you're in Rutherglen!

Excellent food, outstanding service. Thank you for being so accommodating for us with our boisterous (but hopefully polite) young kids. Will be back for a date night without the kids for sure.

What a find. We lucked upon this wonderful restaurant in the main street of Rutherglen. Wonderful service and food (especially the desserts) as well as wine selection. Lovely ambience.

We had a delicious meal seated outdoors in the shade. Our pizzas were fantastic and so was the almond & lemon curd tart! The scenery and grounds were beautiful. Highly recommend for a relaxing lunch.

Popped in for lunch today with the kids, food and drink were lovely! Pizzas had creative blends of flavors and were just lovely! Only comment from me would be including a couple of child friendly options and another dairy free option (perhaps a dairy free cheese). Not being picky, just have a child with allergies and there was only one menu item he could have. We were lucky enough to score a bottle of brut here when it wasn’t available at the All Saints Cellar Door. Worthwhile checking out for lunch if your at All Saints.

Nice pizza in a gorgeous setting. Also enjoyed the spritz.

We had the steak and a caesar salad. It was sensational food. Great view over the water, great service and the music was awesome. I considered this to be reasonably priced considering it is in a winery, on that we matched the meal with a great bottle of red from the estate.

Great view of the vineyards, and little pond with ducks, and a lovely sunny day to sit outside. We had some snacks, none of the mains or pizza this time, but we'll definitely be returning for it.

Delicious food and great service! The pizzas were a stand out and the Prosecco was lovely. We sat inside which was nice however outside looked beautiful and would probably choose to sit there next time.

Always a delight dining at The Pickled Sisters. The staff and exceptionally kind and lovely always, the food is incredibly delicious and the venue is such a warm, cozy and inviting space. We absolutely love coming and thoroughly enjoyed our Mother’s Day Lunch this year.

We contacted Pickled Sister Friday afternoon to enquire about options for a bikeride picnic for the following day. The staff were so helpful and accommodating, especially with dietary requirements. We had the most delightful 3 courses packed with all the required cutlery, crockery, etc. The food was so awesome. We rode to various wineries who all were great in allowing us to use their tables to eat and also to select the perfect accompanying wine. Can't recommend this service enough.

We rang & booked last minute & were pleased to find tonight was a burgers & tunes night, how lucky were we? The staff were so friendly & attentive, the burgers were amazing & so were the desserts we couldn’t resist! The drinks list was great & not expensive. The “tunes” were easy to listen to without drowning out conversation. A fabulous night out!!

Well worth a visit. Menu is flexible with small meals or mains. Bread and Butter pudding was amazing! Staff and Service top notch, friendly, warm and an excellent 'all rounder'. (Outside is an eclectic experience as well, with good heating and knee rugs if needed)

There were highlights, which must include the soufflé, which was so soft and light that it could have floated away. Also, the sardines were pretty special, in their presentation as well as flavour. Had some really good coffee and hot chocolate at the Pickled Sisters Cafe and Restaurant in Rutherglen. The coffee and hot chocolate were excellent and so was the service by the excellent wait staff.. if you are in Rutherglen do yourself a favour and go to the Pickled sisters Cafe

Marion & the team at Pickled Sisters were amazing. Made my 40th birthday lunch something to remember! Food was absolutely delicious & as always the duck was melt in your mouth Yummo. No request was too big & very accommodating especially with the many kids running around in the private function space. Thanks so much can’t wait to be back 😊

We went for wine tasting. Lovely location, wines are okay...but very poor hospitality. The owner was not too keen to explain much to us. His explanation of wines and the region to the people on table next to us were elaborate, whereas for us it was a sentence or two....typical. The french girl who took over half way through was sweet, lot more elaborate and friendly.

The estate is in a tranquil environment which is relaxing, and the staff were commendable. The pasta was absolutely delicious and so was the lemon tart dessert. The lady who bought out my dessert had even put a candle in it, as she had found out it was my birthday. It was a very nice surprise and made the day even more special. Thank you!

we had our wedding here on the 13 sep 2025. what an amazing place and the service was perfect. the food was divine and the wines were exquisite. highly recommended, and the service the owners provided was way and beyond what i expected. the actual winery is beautiful next to the lake and with its beautiful trees and old estate home was truly beyond belief. thank you so much. everything was perfect and we highly recommend everyone to have a wedding or private party here. thank you for everything

We had a wine tasting and lunch. I cannot recommend the wines enough, there was not one I didn’t like and that’s a first for any winery I have visited. Sheree took us through the list and was so knowledgeable about the product, family and area. It was so interesting. The sustainable practices also added to their story and may also explain one of the many points of difference with Moodemere wines. We followed up with an equally impressive lunch, the chef is to be commended. We were blown away by the slow cooked lamb (which is from the property), curly fries which were like clouds, breads ,dips and truly unbelievable spring rolls. We finished with a glass of wine overlooking the lake area. I don’t often leave reviews but our visit was so exceptional I couldn’t resist !

Such a lovely relaxing setting. The cottage was well appointed & met all our needs. All boxes ticked. I would definitely recommend especially for the serenity alone.

Thoroughly enjoyed a 3 course meal with wines at Jones. The food was refined, service excellent, and the relaxed atmosphere made for a perfect long lunch. We recently did some fine-dining overseas and can confidently report that Jones is right up there in terms of quality and value

We had a fabulous experience at Jones’ Winery. The staff at the cellar door were knowledgeable and took us through an extensive wine tasting. Wines are reasonably priced. The food at the restaurant was fantastic. High quality produce and full of flavour. The highlights were the lamb, the caramel pumpkin cheesecake and the lavender pudding. We were given complimentary bread, butter and chocolates at the end, and we thought it was great value.

Thank you Jimmy for the wine adventure that you took us on with our wine tasting. 🌈 The history of the vineyard with its original farmhouse roof made of stringy bark was very appeasing. Don’t forget their cute doggy who loves people 🐶 Wines were very reasonably priced!! The restaurant smelt unbelievably delicious and can’t wait to try it next time we visit 🍷

The quality of wines speak for themselves, enjoyed everyone we tasted. Furthermore the experience itself with the amazing friendly staff made it an unforgettable experience. After our tasting i realised i had left my jacket with our hotel room key in the pocket at the winery. When i called, Arthur the legend who served us offered to drop it off where we were staying. Jones Winery offer not only amazing wines but an experience you won't be quick to forget.

Had lunch at Jones Winery a couple of weeks ago and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The service was lovely and there was a good vibe with the staff where they were just happy. The food is delicious and well presented. I felt the portion sizes were fair and I left feeling satisfied. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner who is friendly and welcoming. The winery is also dog friendly and that's a win in my books. I will be returning to Jones Winery when I visit the region again.

A wonderful cellar door experience with a very friendly and helpful host. We loved every one of the wines and found them absolutely top quality. It has a lovely cosy ambience and a beautiful setting. A wonderful hour of delicious wines and enjoyable conversation, and we're looking forward to enjoying all the wines we bought and remembering our visit.

5th Generation wine makers in Rutherglen, doing some interesting wines. 2 tasting options, standard $10 refundable on purchase or Reserve $20 (not refundable on purchase) Definitely worth doing the reserves, standouts the Rare Rutherglen Muscat average age 55yr and the LJ from 105 yr old vines. Beautifully restored cellar door and grounds. Worth the visit.

4.5 ⭐️ The service was impeccable from the wine cellar to the well trained restaurant staff. Ambience is cosy and you could easily nestle in for a chunk of time with a great glass of red. All of the food was great, although the steak could be seasoned slightly better. The wines alone are well priced and worth the 5 stars.

Lovely dinner out in Rutherglen. Interesting and tasty dishes, everything we tried was consistently great! I think it’s a high 4 star since nothing felt like a standout or was particularly memorable. I would neither rush to come back nor rave about it. Definitely a great place to dine out though.

We visited the cellar door in Rutherglen today, we are very glad that we did. We had an amazing tasting with Paul, he was informative and entertaining. We worked in Cellar doors in the Margaret River region so it was lovely to compare and talk wine with Paul. We tried some amazing wines and of course had to buy. Had a really nice time at the cellar door. Everything was explained in great detail and the discussions were fantastic. Thank you Chris and David, it was a nice afternoon. We purchased 9 bottles of various wines even their beautiful muscat, now to get home and consume.

Great accommodation in Rutherglen. Ample space within the apartment that was well appointed. Bernie at the cellar door was fantastic and took the time to really showcase all the wines on offer. Wonderful location with a short stroll up the main street, great tennis court and a brilliant mini bar stocked with great De Bortoli wines at the cellar door prices - win!

29/7/25 A new exhibition featuring Lockhart River artist Patrick Butcher Jnr and Anmatyerre artist Kudditji Kngwarreye is showing under the title of "Colour Fields". The cellar door offers tastings in a relaxed environment with tables and seating provided. The tasting experience is enhanced through a collaboration with Aboriginal Exhibitions Gallery with paintings hung at the cellar door area and a large gallery to the rear. The gallery is part of the North East Art Trail which includes The Plough Inn at Tarrawingee and Must Love Dogs in Rutherglen. 29/12/22 Went with a group for a tasting of some whites. The Prosecco and the White were standouts with the latter having won multiple awards. The cellar door staff were attentive and provided helpful information on the wines. A Turbo Brown exhibition has replaced the Lockhart River works over the past week and two pieces have already sold. The works are striking and the animal and bird subject cannot help but make you smile. Purchased a case of six 2020 Shelly's Block for $48 which is a real bargain. A good selection of bin ends is still available. The gallery holds a large selection of works from Trevor "Turbo" Brown, a Victorian artist with works held by many public Australian galleries. His whimsical subjects are guaranteed to raise a smile. 12/3/23 Tastes of Rutherglen weekend where we attended the wine masterclass with our host David. Superb range of wines offered with their Renaissance range and sparkling Shiraz Durifs the standouts.

The accommodation was comfortable and clean. The couch and chairs need an upgrade to reach a higher standard . The breakfast basket was Very good. A row of trees at the end of vineyard will block out cars and traffic and will make it feel more relaxing and enclosed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The wine tasting was excellent staff member was friendly and not pushy to buy.

We enjoyed our tasting experience here, apparently the second largest winery in Rutherglen. A great selection of Rieslings, Reds and of course fortified wines. We bought some of each to enjoy later. Friendly and informative tasting advice provided during our visit. Recommended.

A rustic welcome at this excellent winery. Try all the muscats, the Rutherglen muscat (that's the youngest) is excellent chilled, and of course, the older ones are more sophisticated. There's a farm dam outside, and I was lucky enough to see a family of grebes.

Visited John Gehrigs as a prospective wedding venue- reviews suggest it is very well priced, owners go above and beyond and it beautiful venue. I completely agree. Have also done the wine tasting and recommend the golden goose. It is amazing with any slow cooked meats. My pork has never tasted better. Amazing. A staple in my pantry now. This winery is a hidden gem in Rutherglen and a must to visit.

Had a wedding here last night. Cozy, beautiful atmosphere and set up. Great tasting quality wines, especially the pinot noir and shiraz. Service was the best. Ross and Jackson both top blokes, friendly and helpful, with a depth of knowledge in wine making. (And thanks again for the lift guys)

Popped in during the winery walk about. They had the best moscato i tasted all weekend, the set up was good too lots of space different wines in different areas which was great.

After being seated we waited quite a while to receive a menu ; water ; anything ! when it wasn’t busy and we did have a reservation The service was a bit too uptight but the food was enjoyable , although some dishes were less than generous!. Overall not bad experience.

Beautiful setting and good service but the food was a bit of a let down, especially for the price we paid. All dishes pictured were nice, but nothing amazing. The best thing was the beef caramel in the petit fours. I wouldn’t rush back!

Great service, beautiful food, lovely wine. A buzzing restaurant next to the wine cellar door for All Saints winery, book ahead to get a table at busy times. We got a walk in table for a late lunch. Nothing was too much trouble.

Really enjoyed a long lunch at Kin. Food was excellent, delicious and surprising. Service from knowledgeable staff was fantastic. 2 course option was good value for such high quality. Fitout is very nice too. We will be back.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at KIN, the new All Saints Restaurant. The menu is carefully considered, showcasing local produce and catering to all dietaries. Entree highlight was the mushrooms - very well balanced with the garlic and vinegar, the scallops were fresh and plated beautifully, and the ox heart tomato was unexpected in its presentation and served warm in a broth/soup. For mains, we had the striploin with local red wine jus, Murray river cod and a pumpkin ricotta dish. The cuts of meat were quality and paired well with sauces. The pumpkin was lacking a little for a main, however we were provided with delicious asparagus and a salad to pair with mains. The chef treated us to complimentary appetisers which were delicious, fresh bread and chocolate fudge after our deserts came out. Compliments to the chef and particularly our server Sebastián who were exceptional. Would strongly recommend the local wines over cocktails. The tables were spaced very closely together and luckily the restaurant wasn’t full for us, if it was it would have been a squeeze.

Was really excited about eating here after all the renovations and new restaurant. But unfortunately we found our meals very disappointing, especially for the price we paid. The meals were cold, which was the most disappointing, and in winter that's the last thing you want. The young lady serving us was knowledgeable and delivered what was ordered well, and friendly. The venue is lovely. But would not recommend due to the food just not being great and very over priced for what you get. So not worth the $240 we paid today for 2 people at lunch, and we unfortunately would not eat there again.

Hubby and I stopped off here for a quick bite yesterday. I had the pumpkin fritters with a latte and hubby chose fish and chips with a tropical juice. We were blown away from first stepping into the establishment. Staff greeted us with welcoming smiles and atmosphere was superb. My fritters were delicious, fluffy and cooked to perfection and just the right size portion. Coffee hot but not overly so. Hubby's fish and chips also fabulous. Chips were deliciously crunchy and the fish well cooked and not soaked in oil. Highly recommend this eatery

Great coffee and delicious food! We dined here twice, he first time we got the oancakes and the chilli scramble. Both super flavourful. The pancakes were fluffy with nice crispy edges and some yummy maple-butter on top. The chilli scramble was also so good, not your typical boring scramble and it had great flavour. We came back a second time because we missed out on the carrot cake - it did not disappoint. Super moist and perfect with a coffee 🤌 Prices are also really great for the quality of food!

Mocha was beautiful 😍 Had the tuna melt with chips! Great chips and melt was so yummy! Fast and friendly service!

Their pulled beef sandwich was delicious - absolutely delicious! Although I didn't have the pork belly sandwich, my mates confirmed it was to die for. Not one of us were disappointed .... and they serve one of Melbourne's finest coffees - St. Ali. Friendly service to top it off so this place is highly recommended.

Beautiful rooms with an amazing view from our room. The staff were lovely and accomadating and the breakfast buffet was delish. It was just a short stroll to the main street and the location of the hotel was still nice and quiet.

We had a great family dinner here. The service staff were very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere and interior design were beautifully laid out. For the food, well it was excellent! Stayed in 2-Bedroom Suite/King Bed. Really peaceful and comfortable. Well appointed with nice toiletries and coffee making facilities in room. Location very handy. Would definitely recommend and plan to return.

Absolutely amazing. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. Staff were lovely, facilities were beautiful. We had a beautiful time there.

One word: disappointing. The tasting rooms are stark and uninviting. The restaurant is tired and dated. Fake plants decorating the area make it look l tacky. Terrible music choice - something must be done about it. Tiles cracked and garden beds not maintained. Food was average. Fish was undercooked. Redeeming features: The cheese board in the wine tasting room was great, as were the wine tasting staff. Oysters were delicious and great value.

We really enjoyed this small town Chinese for lunch. For the $18 lunch special - a meat and fried rice - was excellent value for a quality Chinese dish. It was super yum! The service was very good - the time to serve was very quick. Fir good pub Chinese this was great. Recommend.

Still waiting for our food after 45 minutes!! Tables around us who came much later were served before us! When I asked where our order was they apologised and said it’s coming ! Still waiting!!! After another 15 minutes part of the order arrived! We were told ‘very sorry about the wait the chef messed up’ not good enough! Still waiting! Part order arrived and my vegetarian Singapore noodles arrived after a further 10 minutes part. Very disappointed- the noodles were gluggy and overcooked and wet! Not at all like Singapore noodles are meant to be. Overall a poor experience. Spent $57.50 on 2 pieces of spring rolls, small steamed rice, vegetarian Singapore noodles and a pork dish. Spent $22 on draft beer waiting for dinner. My grandson was falling asleep by the time dinner arrived.

Entry off the side street. Usual country chinese restaurant, with lots of different nationalities working in the same place. Lunch pack was plentiful, filling & reasonably priced @ $20 for dine in. Service was fast & friendly. Sweet & sour pork was delicious and well worth the money. I thought the fried rice was a little bland. Would eat here again if in the mood for chinese.

A little confused getting there first time, but this Chinese restaurant could be moved to Wangaratta and not be out of place. Or anywhere else. My Food was served on a hot metal plate and was delicious..I will go there again soon. The cooks are genuine masters at their trade and I ducked in to say thank you all..velly nice with flied lice LOL. My Chinese friends thought so too

Horrible service!! I called to place an order, the woman on the phone was very passive aggressive and rude! An older Australian woman I didn’t get her name. When I arrived to pick up my order, 3 vegetarian fried rice I noticed there was meat. I asked is this vegetarian? Which obviously it wasn’t. The rude lady butted in and glared at me and said I didn’t ask for that and that she took my order. I said I 100% asked for vegetarian which she aggressively pulled each one out whilst shaking and said well you’re going to have to wait then. I had to then wait another 15 minutes for my correct order. I have worked in customer service and know that you can have a bad day but that was no reason for her to be so aggressive towards me! Definitely needs and attitude adjustment!!

Excellent food. We dined on a busy Saturday night, the locals clearly know a good Chinese restaurant. Will be back next time.

Everyone in our party of eight was very happy with their meals. Calamari tender and fresh. Lamb shank just fell off the bone, Lamb back strap full of flavour. Highly recommend.

I will return here and purchase more of their wine next time I visit. Thoroughly recommend this cellar. Been to many wine regions in Australia and this is one of the best like SA.

Absolutely beautiful meals and setting is restaurant is perfect for families

Lunch is one of those meals that is very hard for a chef to plan well. Too much and the guest is uncomfortable, too little and the guest wonders why they have spent the money. The Chef/Owner at Ripe has got it right. We had the 3 course degustation for lunch and it was perfect, just the right amount of food to leave you feeling refreshed, your taste buds tittlated and even having learned a little along the way. The entree was tasty yet just enough to remind you that you were hungry, the wagyu wasn't overwhelming and heavy, which it could have been as the centrepoint of the meal and the desert was light, sweet yet tart and reminded you that the whole thing was worth the trip. Next time I think I will try and give it a go for dinner.

4 of us had lunch here on Wednesday. Outstanding meals, fabulous staff, great location.

Don’t waste your time and MONEY! It was appalling. They had an answer for everything: Wait time: not able to get staff Menu items not available: Food delivery didn’t arrive. Vegetarian options: Only 1 option, remove prawns from Pasta dish. We booked over a week before attending. They should have notified us before we arrived that they only had enough food and staff for the other group that was in the restaurant that day!!! By the way there were only around 30 people in the restaurant altogether and 10 of them were us!!! There are many other beautiful restaurants in the area. Over priced rubbish. We are local to the area and will never go back!!!

Lovely friendly very interesting Cafe. We had a beautiful breakfast. Gorgeous cakes and slices home made. Great staff. Very clean.You can even buy lovely tin signs and gifts.

I have been to this place twice now. The first time unfortunately cafe options were out of hours but I still found a way to spend my money. How you ask? Well this place is wall to wall memorabilia. Talk about a nostalgia trip for me a walk down memory lane. But thats not all if you like the footy, car, food or anything like these there is stuff for you as well. Sinage, Illuminated signs, neon, figurines. You name it they got it. So I had to make a second trip and this time had an afternoon cuppa and scones with jam and cream. Wow was it good but the jam yumm. Not had jam so good for a long time. This trip gave me the opportunity to really absorb what was there. Not only did I take a trip down memory lane but it gave me time to see what having a quick glance wont let you see. This is one place you cant go past, good for brekky, light lunch and morning and afternoon cuppa's and oh yeah make sure you have a cake. See ya soon.

Can't recommend the Pickers Cafe & Collectibles enough! Upon arrival they bought out a highchair for our toddler & even some games to keep him busy. Their babycinos are SUPER frothy. Chai Latte was honestly perfect. Gf waffle option (although i forgot to ask for them to be gf - whoops ) are absolutely amazing. Perfect. The vege frittata went down so easy. There is gluten free options & the kids menu has a good variety. And to top it off the service was so friendly! There is also a water bowl outside for furry family members. We will be back for sure!

BEST PLACE TO EAT IN RUTHERGLEN! Their food and hot drinks and cold drinks are absolutely amazing and the best by far. the whole team are so great and amazing and the most beautiful people in town. I swear by pickers if you come to Rutherglen. Just the best place to be!

Food was good and the place was very welcoming. Coffee was good. The kids loved their hot chocolate and milk shake. Price was good and decent portion sizes. I would definitely come here again.

We didn't eat but had a fascinating look at the collectables ... so much on offer, worth visiting just for that.

We dined here last weekend. The place is amazing and has been so tastefully renovated. We will definitely visit again although I do have to say we were disappointed with our meals. The entree oysters was great, then there was quite a large gap before our main meals arrived. The scotch fillet was tough and chewy and cooked medium not medium rare as requested. The pork was okay but both meals were on the cooler side not hot. The most interesting thing was the service was amazing and very very attentive until our main meals arrived and then they lost interest in us quickly, -nobody asked how our meals were or how things went which was a bit of a red flag considering the delay for our mains to come out. Although our experience was disappointing, which is contrary to a lot of the reviews, we would love to return and visit there again.

We had lunch booked for 8. On arrival the welcome was good but once seated at table the lady serving rushed us into ordering a drink without being able to relax for a few moments and look at drink list. Then so shortly after tried to get our order. When we said we were not ready as only had been seated for a few minutes, it was then quite a bit of time before she came back to the table. One drink was so long in coming. The main meal was so disappointing as it is expensive. The lamb for two was not of the quantity it should be for 2 and then two side plates were given to use for the 2 people. These were cold. The pork chop was not done sufficiently. The other lamb was apparently not very tasty. The only good meal out of 8 was the steak!!! The music was poor on the day just a loud, unpleasant sound - you can do much better than this. I am afraid we are locals and cannot recommend The Victoria at present. I hope it improves.

We chose to spend my significant birthday at The Vic with a good friends. It was everything we could have hoped for and more. The hotel accommodation was absolutely gorgeous and extra touches in our room such as chocolates and a free drink card just added to the welcoming aspect. We were able to use the library together before dinner, which really created a fabulous atmosphere. Having drinks outside on the balcony was just a perfect way to start the evening. We had dinner in the private dining room “Gollings”, and the food was spectacular. So plentiful and delicious. My friends are all still raving about it. Beth was a wonderful hostess making sure that our drinking requirements were constantly filled! I cannot recommend The Victoria Hotel highly enough. I want to relive every single moment. Here’s cheers to the next significant birthday. Thank you for giving me the best birthday ever.

Wow described our experience, we stayed in the beautiful, freshly renovated room, upon arrival we sat in the courtyard and savoured locally produced Rose of French style, then had a magnificent meal in the main dining area accompanied by a fantastic Pinot noir (also local produced), all the staff were amazing. I must say the Victoria hotel is a must visit and we will definitely be back. Rutherglen is a pretty town and deserves more than one night as there is heaps to see a do, can’t wait to come back.

I was in for lunch on Saturday for my sister-in-laws birthday (party of six). Wow the hotel looks amazing, staff and food also excellent. The young man who served us was friendly and professional. We all had a great experience and can't wait to come back. Loved the menu and option to share dishes around the table.

Our dining experience was simply superb. The Victoria Hotel restaurant is an oasis of fine dining in rural Victoria and set amongst some of Australia's finest vineyards. Our meals (eye fillet, Tuna) were delicious and wonderfully presented. Service was 1st class...we wish that there was a similar "pub" experience in Brisbane. Well done to all the staff.

My partner and I dined at the hotel. The service was wonderful without being over powering. Thoughtful suggestions and insights from Beth - the staff member who looked after on the evening. The food was great. Try the pillow bread as a starter - my partner who is of Italian heritage said it reminded her of own mother's dish of the same kind. We finished the evening with a sampling of 4 local Muscats - another great suggestion from Beth. Highly recommend

I was in a mood. Your polite response and that you are a small business dictate that I edit my review. But I wanted pizza dammit. Had to have maccas bleh!. Not much of any interest to me open in Corowa/Wahgunyah on a tuesday apparently.

Had a hot and sweet pizza tonight. Good amount of filling and had a nice amount of kick! Lovely!!!👌

As new residents to Rutherglen my family is so happy with the quality and variety of pizzas here. We've been back multiple times now and the food is consistently great! Will definitely be making this a regular take-out night meal.

I've been coming to Rutherglen for many years and this is easily the best pizza I've had in Australia. We talk about it at home because you can't get pizza like this in Canberra! Did not disappoint tonight!
