Joss Bay Beach is as lovely and spacious as always! Plenty of room to relax, with toilets and a car park conveniently available. Perfect spot for a family vacation. There’s a bit of seaweed and some stones in the water, so be careful as they can be sharp, especially for kids. On a sunny day, it’s absolutely perfect! Plus, you can enjoy ice cream, bars, and delicious fish and chips nearby.
I visited Joss bay on midsummers day (33 degrees Celsius) for a beach trip and it is a great sandy beach. Parking was hard to come by but eventually we paid £5 to park in a field nearby. The sand was mainly clean and even though the beach was very crowded it was possible to find space. The sea while accessible and refreshing was not clean either in looks or smell. The lifeguards were very helpful and gave my friend a plaster when he cut his toes on the rocks.
Worth the visit for sure. Not busy at all and sea is usually calm and suitable for kids. Lifeguard available, toilets and parking as well. Some see weeds but not enough to ruin the experience. Sand bank was huge and mostly clean. This beach specifically has a gelly fish warning. Luckily all good for us, but is worth informing people. The only thing missing is a bar/cafe nearby. They have only a shop renting chairs and umbrellas. Careful with seaguls, they are quite annoying ans invasive
Ignore any bad review. Joss Bay beach is the real deal. The nicest beach in the whole Thanet Stretch. Safe. Clean. Amenities. Rock pooling. Shade (if you need it). Peace. Views. An absolute must for any visitor or beach lover.
Good pubs and vibe is all fine and loved it but water was with more weed near shore and full of rocks on one side. Overall it is a very good beach on a sunny day
Beautiful golden sandy beach Good for kids fun Lots of parking place , standard price. Not much food to get, so take plenty of food with you.
Great sandy beach, large area to accommodate a large number of people. Clean ladies & gents toilets, cafe and shop. Also paddleboards, sun loungers and umbrellas toe rent. Small Ringo parking available, field across the parking lot also available to park. Overall a great experience on a sunny windless day
Nice sandy beach with parking and toilet facilities available. The water can be a little rough during high tide and also many sea plants floating around. The place can get busy on a good day, so getting there early is important. The beach has a RNLI lifeguard and also a small store for ice cream but it’s expensive. The beach also has a small For Hire beach chairs available and one shower and feet wash station.

Quietest of the Broadstairs beaches from my visit on Friday and Saturday, it’s very large with lots of sand and a rocky path when the tides out. You’ll want to walk in the direction of Ramsgate to find the nearest public bathrooms and restaurants at Viking Bay
We decided to stay in Stone Bay which is quieter and less crowded than other nearby areas. The place is relaxing. My kids played with the sand. You cant really swim but it’s a good place to just lounge around and hear the waves and feel the wind. No toilets nearby. Sand is ok and fine.
The nice view and white stone cliff is photo perfect. This bay is not that big near Viking bay is good for swimming.
What a lovely clean and quiet beach. Lovely sand, enjoyed it there.
Beautiful place and very peaceful!!! As you can see in the pictures and even better 😍😍 fall in love with this place !! I call it now “ my happy place “
We had an amazing time at this beach. The view is simply stunning, with clear blue water stretching as far as the eye can see and soft sand making it the perfect place to walk and relax. The atmosphere is so peaceful and refreshing, with the sea breeze working like a natural atomiser, filling the air with freshness and calm. Sitting by the shore and watching the waves was truly relaxing and gave us such a sense of escape from the busy city life. It’s a beautiful spot where nature shows its best side, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a calm, scenic, and refreshing experience. ---
A wonderful place with an excellent beach with fine sand.
Lovely sandy beach with rock pools. Handy cafe and toilet facilities. Free Parking on the road up top of the cliffs and a few steps to get down to beach.. lovely views from the top and viewing benches to sit on up here if you just fancy a stop to enjoy the view or watch the ships passing by on the horizon .

Lovely beach, clean and relatively quiet. There is a band of rocks to low tide need shoes. Great cafe just on the promenade for coffee and a great bacon roll (lunch available too)
Went there years ago, forgot how rocky it is when the tide is out. Nice little beach with toilets and cafe. Parking in the road but a steep slope down to the beach. Grass areas at the top .
A lovely, sandy beach with a cafe and free on-street parking. There’s a steep slope down to the beach, but it’s not too much of an issue.
Love this place. Plenty of on street free parking, good access down a slope to the dog friendly beach(all year round). There's a small cafe. You can walk to Broadstairs and Ramsgate easily asking the beach.... As long as the tide is out! Lovely cliffs all along both routes.
Great place to visit. On road parking nearby is free. Then a slope passed the public toilets (which were ok) and you are greeted with a picturesque sandy beach. Our friends brought their dogs who had a lovely time. After our strole we then went back to the little cafe where decent coffee was served. We will be returning!
Lovely spot for a walk with the dogs as dog friendly all year, and a sandy beach. A small cafe here too where we had a full English which was lovely. There are also toilets.
Really lovely beach, a lot quieter than Viking Bay. A fascinatingly large amount of seaweed is here, and builds up en mass in sections which, from over the top, look like a satellite view of a river running through a rainforest. The only gripe I have is how rocky it is, particularly when going in the ocean - you will experience sharp rocks, and they will hurt. I ended up wearing my sandals in the ocean, which survived and did prevent pain. Highly recommended some form of padded aquatic shoes.
Went on Friday and Saturday and it was very quiet, around 15 other people. Visitors tend to stick to Viking Bay so this acts as a quieter alternative, although it is steep to climb so you might opt for the lift or steps at Viking Bay and then walk around to Dumpton Gap (right hand side) if you can’t manage

A stately 1801 B&B, once home to Charles Dickens, offering warm rooms, afternoon tea & house tours.

Good place for afternoon tea. Visited there for the Dickens factor but never really stayed there. The museum is small but nice. The Smuggling Museum is interesting. It's in a wonderful location with great views of the Viking Bay. The staff were very friendly and the afternoon tea was delicious.
Stayed for one night. The sanitary bin in the bathroom had not been emptied and the contents were quite unhygienic. The price was very high and the experience was very average, I've had better stays at Premiere Inns. Food was nice, not for the money I paid however. Bedroom was dusty and caused mild irritation to my asthma. For a lower price I could see this getting a 3/5 but with the current price there is no way I could give it anything more than a 1/5. Highly underwhelming.
We were here to learn more about Dickens and the Smuggling museum. Visiting on a Friday during the afternoon. Nothing was quite ready, staff tricky to get hold of. Eventually found the Charles Dickens room which needs a bit of a spruce up. The Smuggling museum in the basement was fun and informative, showing its age a bit but kids will enjoy it. Cost £4 which seems just about right. Maybe a pound cheaper would be excellent value. The cafe was not open when we visited.

One of the Best experience in my life at the casino till the date in the Uk... Me and my friends had a visit at Gv Casino in Broadstairs 21st and 22nd of Sept 25. Its our first visit and and we spend around 10hrs in 2 days and we had lots of fun there. Special thank to the staff Sam, Laila, Molly, Gosha and Kinga. We will be visit again for sure.
Just another casino with Not much to offer then any other casino. So not much to add, make you work for your payouts. Casino's never loose. Gamble responsibly. Great night out with friends and good memories. Go there for good memories and not the other way around.
We go often to the casino and the staff lately have improved 100% . Next we would like Russell's put back on the menu as we do miss the options
Good food, bar service. Good range of table/machines. Could do with more machines and some sort of comp system.
I’ll deal with the negatives first…. Food - nothing short of disgusting and heavily overpriced. The chef must of got his recipes from Newington council estate. Rewards/comps - zero reward for your play and zero loyalty. Slots/tables - variety of games to choose from. Management - the lack of organisation is comical. You have the opportunity to attract people within a 60 miles radius being the only casino in the area, but somehow manage to run it into the ground. The poker room is a shambles despite the current poker staffs best effort, the book stops with management who refuse to listen to players and staff. The only manager to my knowledge who actually listens and seems willing is “Marcin”. Very polite bloke and always friendly. Also Ken who again is very friendly and is easy to talk to and deal with. Maybe have a suggestion box in the poker room and listen to your customers, or you will lose it all together through private games and other venues.
Had a great night there for valentine's. We had a meal which was really good, lovely food and amazing service.
I am not sure but is not good experience-we group of 5 visit there and we have some strategies to cover almost number-but this is only the casino we experienced that if a single number is not covered and that uncovered numbers come-not one a time but we feel whole night same things and even many others felt the same things like in table of £2 we lost around £3k Worst experience
Don’t buy the burger (£9.50) it’s very basic no cheese murdered the bun and you have to buy fry’s too. Sent them back to over cooked them to. The food spoilt to evening. It was for birthday treat. Casino clean, staff friendly.

A lovely small shop with a genuinely talented artist working there. We had to buy something so took a 3 inch square painting of the Jetty on a tiny easel. KJM was so accommodating to us as we were moving on so could not come back.
Grabbed three prints for the family house living room, great selection!
Fantastic place, beautiful affordable art, and wonderful customer service,- lovely location, right near the beach!

A beautiful, quiet, sandy bay - perfect for a day at the beach! Oh I do love to be beside the sea side!
Clean sandy beach, family friendly and easily accessible from London. It is a small beach so can get crowded on holidays. Ice cream and beer on the beach. The washing and toilet facilities could be cleaner. Has stairs to get down to the he beach so can be difficult for mobility impaired. Not sure if the had another path down to the beach. Has lifeguards on duty so do remember to donate to the RNLI for their work on our beaches. Trampolining and a mini amusement park section keeps the kids occupied. You can walk up and down the coastline to a number of other small beaches all within easy reach. The promenade upstairs has live music to relax with or a walk along the coastline is just as relaxing. A little bit of old world charm still remains...keep an eye out for the birds though! Small shops, beach side eateries and not yet overpriced or substandard.
Keep walking round to Viking Bay, much nicer and easier to get to with more amenities.
Nothing not to like
Nice little beach and good cafe when it's open
The perfect spot to relax, listen to the music from the nearby bandstand or walk along the lovely sandy beach.
Louisa Bay has an excellent cafe with views of the sea , I like to go fishing there.
Good beach café and sandy strip of beach. Tendency to harbour seaweed.

We had a really lovely time at the model railway exhibition here a few weeks ago. Staff are lovely and were very accommodating as had a 3 year old and 5 month old. They loved it (as did me and my husband) and will go again. Thanks for all the hard working volunteers.
Great museum with friendly volunteers who are extremely knowledgeable about the history of the place. Highly recommended for public transportations lovers. Entrance fee is reasonable as they do need funds to maintain the place. It will help a lot if you could buy something or do a small donation.
The guides were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and would have made this worth the very fair £4 entrance fee alone but there was plenty to explore in the three buildings included as well.
We went to meet Santa which was great and the museum and wasn't too bad either if you are into trains.
Highly recommended! Super for kids. Lots of great model train set ups and related ephemera. Cool reservoir building with spectacular echo! Also lovely vintage model cars etc for sale for £2-3 each. Very welcoming local volunteer staff.
We went to visit Santa today. Such an amazing experience and certainly worth the admission fee, which was really reasonable. Cost includes a tour around the train museum, ride on the model train personal Santa visit and a gift 🎁 Highly recommended
The museum was a big hit with my children who didn’t want to leave it! There are a few electric trains that visitors can operate (by pressing a button) including ones that are pulled by engines from Thomas The Tank Engine. The museum is run by friendly volunteers. Great for kids. Check opening times before visiting because it’s open only briefly and not daily.
Amazing Santa's grotto experience!!! Highly recommend this. Fabulous, well organised and so much better than walking into a shed and seeing Santa on the other side of a curtain! The fee is £7. For this all accompanying adults are free entry to the museum, tea and coffee available, and a ride on the miniture railway all included. The meeting santa experience was great, not cheesy at all. :) And no need to pre-book! If you take them to visit Santa this year, do this one!!!

Very nice place, always friendly people there. And kept very well 😊 we do a lot of work there, as we are just down the road. Feel free to check us out ROBERTS STONEMASONS LTD.
St Laurence Church is the oldest building in Ramsgate, dating back to around 1062. It was founded as a chapel of ease to Minster Abbey, which was the main religious center in Thanet at the time. The original church was quite simple, consisting of just a nave and tower. However, it was extended in the 12th and 13th centuries to include a chancel and side aisles. In 1439, the tower was struck by lightning and had to be rebuilt. The townsfolk raised the tower to its present height, even though this made it more likely to be struck by lightning again. However, fortunately, this has not happened since. The interior of the church is a mix of Norman, Early English, and Victorian styles. The nave arcade has Norman arches around the central tower, supported on large Norman pillars. Some of the capitals are carved with small devil's heads. The stained glass windows are mostly Victorian, but there are some earlier examples, including a window depicting the martyrdom of St Laurence. St Laurence Church is a Grade I listed building, which means it is considered to be of special historical or architectural interest. It is a popular tourist destination, and it is also used for regular worship services. Here are some other interesting facts about St Laurence Church: The churchyard contains the graves of several notable people, including Sir William Garrow, a famous lawyer, and Dr. Collis Browne, the inventor of chlorodyne. The church was used as a hospital during the Napoleonic Wars. The church was damaged during the bombing of Ramsgate in World War II, but it was restored to its former glory.
We were married here some 50 years ago so returned for a visit whilst we were in the area. Very disappointed that the church was locked and that all the churchyard was so overgrown. Not a welcoming place I'm afraid and we were very disappointed
Nice stained glass windows - outside needs major attention to graves and overgrown grass and shrubs
I took a baptism service and finished by saying yes to another baptism and a wedding next October!
Friendly, welcoming lots of history been a church on this 1062 church yard tours,Sunday service 1000hrs choir, organist
The Place is in need of some love and help from the local community in that area. As we all need in this Life On Earth !

Beautiful gallery with a great selection using different mediums - including glass and ceramics. Something for everyone. Very friendly staff.
Lovely selection of local artists works to buy and a very nice lady serving when we went in. 👍
Superb local gallery with an excellent collective of artists. We bought a piece for my daughter's 21st. There was so much we could have chosen!
Popped in and was amazed at the different art mediums and subjects covered. Local scenes of Viking Bay, London. I was drawn to the statue in Glasgow with the traffic cone on his head. The exhibition was by Paul Gadenne local artist from Broadstairs. Prices to suit all pockets.
Lovely little gallery offering a wide selection of art, jewellery and sculpture catering for all budgets
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Amazing variety of local artists creations on show. Always something that catches your eye!
Beautiful space, a haven for people who like the finer things in life. Lovely stock of artwork , jewellery and pretty things. Wholly recommend

Newly discovered venue for us. We went last night to a most excellent piano recital. We were made most welcome and although the building looks a little tired and an unlikely theatre venue, don't let that put you off. Will definitely be going again.
I visited this charming theatre recently too watch a pantomime with too special needs young ladies unfortunately halfway through the show one of the young ladies got upset and distressed and had to take her outside to calm down on returning back to our seats the female staff member was extremely rude and discrimative about my daughter then more or less shoved us through the door by my coat making the girls even more distressed. I'm sad to say I will be never returning and making a official complaint sadly
Attended the Adult Pantomine, absolutely hilarious I can't remember the last time I laughed so much, the cast were brilliant, members of staff very helpful and polite, looking forward to our next visit
We go quite often to the Sarah Thorne Theater. It has a nice atmosphere and we love to go there to see a variety of shows during the year, but also the Pantomime in December. Everybody is very friendly as soon as you arrive, the shows are very varied and excellent and the prices for the drinks, snacks or ice-creams are very reasonable. We are very happy to support this local theater which played a great part in the local community and every time we look at it's website, we find a show we want to attend.
This fantastic community theatre is currently under threat from kcc who see it as an asset of disposal. As the reform party candidate for the kcc elections in May 2025 I will if elected be fighting for it to be an asset to the community of Broadstairs and beyond.
I've always loved the Sarah Thorne annual panto, and this year's offering, 'Sleeping Beauty', didn't disappoint. The familiar faces of the older cast is part of the charm - like putting on the proverbial pair of comfortable old slippers - but it's also great to see new, young faces in the cast every year, too. Plus the dancers just up their game every season! Many thanks to Michael Wheatley-Ward, John Goodrum and the entire cast and crew for another delightful production. Sam Grant.
We all went with the group for an old fashioned pantomime. That is exactly what we got. It was tremendous! Brilliant show with brilliant staff, throughout. Well done to everyone on stage. Well done to every one involved.
Just seen song as you go. I am 22 year old. And old the old war time stuff. It the army, kiss me good night Sargent magar, it long way and menu more. I sang, luaght and had fun at the music Avent. Had a nice time there music was out of this world, the band was out of this world, the staff was out of this world and people were great to. Drink and snack good prise. The pre order drink system is great. I sing along to all the song. I have luaght and love the jokes to. The sketch were funny. The flag I donate £3 to have 3 union Jack flag. But the music was great. I light my head in the second act. A good day out. I love the 1940 music and ear it take me back when I start to dance.

We visited for the green hop day, band on playing loads of old hits,, food from about 12 till 5, covered seating area outside as well as the seating inside too. Friendly welcome, nice beer, very good experience.....probably not always 150 ish people there and a great live band....
Very recommendable place for Cask Ale lovers. Had been there after a nice walk on a sunny day and we really appreciated the great Ales and the conversation with the very sympathic guy behind the bar (no name unfortunately, but it was the retired fireman). Had 2 great Ales (No.5 and HPA) and took 5 others home. If we are in the area again we will visit you again. Keep on brewing. Joerg and Ute from Germany
We went to the Gadds winter beer festival, absolutely fantastic. Great ale (other drinks available), live music and fantastic atmosphere. As a local brewery and business it’s great to see them so well supported. Would highly recommend to anyone go and visit!!!
Having tried some of their beers in other places and having some for home delivery and really enjoying them we thought it was time to visit! We booked on a beer tour/tasting, Eddie really brought everything to life, it was such an interesting tour - learning about processing the same ingredients differently to get the different tastes, and hops and C02 capture. A generous amount to the tasting too. And of course we bought a few boxes of bottles to bring home! They do have different events on throughout the year so will be sure to keep an eye out for those. Thanks so much :-)
Imagine my delight when I walked into my local, The Post @ Telegraph, North Street, Brighton and noticed your She Sells Seashells Ale ~ it was an absolutely Superb Ale @ Very Popular....But what makes it special is that I have worked at an idyllic Shop on Brighton Beach, a Seashell Shop...(it has been on Brighton Beach opposite the Carousel for 23 Years)....and guess what...On the Doors we have painted, yes, you guessed it ...WE SELL SEASHELLS ONTHE SEASHORE...@ then I looked at the description and found it was brewed by Gadds Brewery in Ramsgate...I was born in Archibald Ward, Ramsgate 72 Years ago on 30th August...Thankyou Gadds Brewery ~A Superb Ale !!!! 🍺
I'm not local, but from Berkshire and a real ale fan. Discovered Gadd's No5 at the Ship Inn Deal. Great beer in a great pub. Had to visit the brewery that afternoon. Beer expert level chat over tasters with Eddy. The 10% imperial russian stout 2014 is a 10/10 beer. Joy. Jeff. June 2019.
Excellent beer and friendly team. This was our second visit - we were here on Easter Saturday and enjoyed live music. Good selection of beers - and other drinks also available!
Thank you for the beer tasting. Best beer I've had in a while! Still the best even 4 years later!
