Perfect holiday location. Sand, sea, sunshine and sangria 😎 Great hotels and food. Lovely walks along the promenade and sandy beach. Boat trips along the coast. Puerto Rico is a major tourist resort located on the southwest coast of the Spanish island of Gran Canaria. Known for its sunny climate and golden, family-friendly beaches with imported Saharan sand, the resort offers water sports, a marina, and lively nightlife. It's a popular destination for families and couples seeking sun, beaches, and entertainment, with options for water sports, shopping, dining, and excursions to nearby areas like the picturesque town of Mogán.
Clean, calm, and family-friendly. Playa de Puerto Rico is a well-kept beach with soft sand and gentle waves, good for swimming, even with kids. Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas available, but also space to sit on your own towel if you prefer. Shops, toilets, and cafés are all close by, so it’s easy to spend a whole day here without hassle. Gets busy in the afternoon, but the atmosphere stays relaxed. Great choice if you want a beach that’s easy to access and has everything nearby.
This beach is nothing special. Overcrowded and murky water. It’s better to walk 15 minutes to Amadores beach by the promenade where the water is azure. Or a 2 minute bus ride to anfi del mar where the water is like the caribbean. I suppose this beach looks nice in the morning, but for a beach day, there are much better options in the area.
The beach was beautiful and clean, with toilets and showers available. It’s beautiful, full of restaurants, and the water was calm, so it was completely enjoyable. There were lots of cute crabs there
Not too crowded, cheap sunbeds, food and drink. Good boat Trips.
Had a great day at the beach.. 2 sun beds and 1 parasol €10.50.. x
Sandy beach in the busy resort of Puerto Rico. Short walk from town centre. Marina is adjacent to the beach. Bar/restaurant on quayside has novelty swim up bar. Sheltered for swimming.
The best beach in Gran Canria. Sunbed is 7 euros for the day, 10 with an umbrella for shade. ALWAYS SUNNY, I have never ever been here and it hasn't been glorious sunshine, whether that's in January or June it's always sunny!! There's great centres nearby, lovely beach restaurants and great views. Topless bathing is allowed, although naturism is allowed, its never really seen here, so for an all over tan, I'd suggest just in front of the dunes in maspalomas beach between playa de ingles and maspalomas, it's about a 15 minute walk from playa de ingles end and 20 from maspalomas end. Peurto Rico harbour to the right as you're looking at the sea, has many excursions available and the actual port you can see Ray-fish, turtles etc in the crystal clear water. Back to Peurto Rico beach though, for a lovely paddling or swimming area, to get a great tan and to have a great choice of food and the option for a sun-lounger, then you won't be disappointed with Peurto Rico.

2 tennis courts and 2 padel courts. The padel courts are a bit sandy but otherwise in good condition. We had 2 lessons that the lovely staff organised. Very good lessons with Gustavo! Very friendly and helpful staff. Booking only by calling or at the place but they will help you find players or coach. We managed to get courts quite easily so it's not overbooked. Visit this lovely place!
Great padel courts, well maintained and easy to book. Friendly staff and good prices. Definitely recommend!
I'm going to give it five stars, even though at least one of the tennis courts could use some maintenance. The owner is really nice and friendly and the tennis coach Davide is very skilled and a great teacher.
This thing ruined my vacation ! I’ve got nothing against tennis I’m a player myself but Paddle should be forbidden, it make way too much noise especially here in the mountain. Don’t come any close to this place if you want to be quiet…Paddle noise will kill your vacation !
Nice facility and great if your not too serious about your tennis. If you are, then you'll see that the tennis courts are worn in places and, where repairs have been attempted, these are very mediocre in quality. Expect unpredictable and untrue bounces as a result of this as well as from the variable sand densities across different areas of the courts. There are 'court carpets' that you are asked to use at the end of your hire to mitigate this and prepare the courts for the next paying customers but, frankly, these are not of sufficient quality to render the courts back to a reasonable standard. On the plus side, we found the facility friendly and received a pleasent welcome, equipment hire is available as is a bar for drinks afterwards or for non-playing friends during your game. Final words... Worth a visit if you're not too serious about tennis.
Very nice and friendly atmosphere welcomes you in the club. I had pleasure to get trained by Guillermo during my week of vacations in Puerto Rico this February. The club is well organized with a couple of tennis courts and padel courts. The locker rooms and shower are kept super clean by the owners. The club is blessed by the good weather of the area allowing you to play outside 360 day out of 365.
Such a great place! Going here for 4 padel lessons has been the highlight of my week on Gran Canaria so far. The place itself is great with nice padel and tennis courts, and every single person I met was super friendly. I would highly recommend going here if you are anywhere nearby. I am a beginner when it comes to padel and enjoyed it a lot. Thanks Guillermo for both the great padel lessons and restaurant recommendations!
Nice and cosy place. Guillermo was just as good as the ratings here say. I have never hit backhand, forehand and serves like there. Just awesome coach.

Based in Puerto Rico shopping centre, staff are extremely friendly and helpful, perfumes are reasonably priced. This was the only shop which had the Si perfume in a gift set, which was an absolute Bargain for what's inside
The lovely lady serving in the puerto rico store, was so helpful.very pleasant and very good at her job her name i think said was as in photo
As soon as you walked in someone basically jumped on you and wouldn’t leave you alone to look in peace. However the staff were friendly. I had two perfumes and a bag that I was going to buy I asked to see a tester of another perfume and they didn’t have one so I said no worries. The sales associate then proceeded to undo a box off of the shelf, open it, spray it, and then seal it back up and put it back on the shelf????? This is abysmal! So someone else is now going pay for a used item. As someone who’s worked in a perfumery this is highly unacceptable! It’s safe to say I put everything back and didn’t bother to buy anything!
Nice little shopping complex with some stunning views over Puerto Rico there's gift shops galore fashion, electrical, perfume and jewellery all available here, there's a Hyperdino and a Spar supermarket and many eateries and bars and games ie: crazy golf and trampolines for children there's bars with entertainment on offer and Restaurants to cater for your every whim, steakhouse,Currys, fish and chips, pizza and pasta, jacket potatoes, Chinese and Chinese buffets all available up here.👍👍👍
amaizing prices and realy helpfull staff
Perfect place if you enjoy being accosted by restaurant staff pleading with you to eat in their establishments and if you like buying fake goods (a bit like Ingoldmells market near Skegness). Having said that there is a decent supermarket there on both the ground and first floor.
Brilliant service highly recommended
Great little shopping centre if Centro is to big plenty of choice of restaurants good food the chaps in the shops will try to rip you off but well worth a visit and if you there at night time visit xtreemz bar a night with Russ very entertaining

Small retail complex with a refined collection of specialty shops & casual, stylish eateries.

Very attractive place, shops on ground floor with restaurants on upper level. Great hanging garden ( Not quite Babylon style). Some pretty expensive alcohol if you drink the stuff. Toilets are spotlessly clean and free. Probably better at night when more is open.
Clean and modern but I was hoping for a better shopping experience as this mall is directed at tourists with more money than sense. Across the road a large Spar can be found which is worth a visit.
So many cute shops and good WiFi connection. Very nice benches to chill on as well with lovely views.
Great selection of shops , attractive surroundings , love the place
Let me start by saying this review is purely based on my personal experience at The Market in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria and that experience mostly involved being the designated bag holder on a family shopping mission. Now, the place itself is tidy and modern, with a bunch of stylish shops and casual eateries. If you enjoy browsing beauty products, fashion, or cute little boutiques, then you’ll probably be right at home here. But for me? I stepped into the first shop (Primor, I think it was called), took one look around, and noped right back out. Not my scene at all. I spent the rest of the visit sat on one of the benches, people-watching and waiting for my family to finish shopping. Peaceful enough, sure, but also mind-numbingly dull if you're not into shopping or café-hopping. It’s one of those places that’s definitely suited to a certain type of holiday-goer, just not this one. To be fair, it’s clean, well-kept and has a bit of an upmarket feel to it. It’s just not somewhere I’d rush back to unless I’m needed again to carry bags and offer the occasional “yeah, that looks nice” from the sidelines.
Go up here to the spar, decent selection of stuff for self catering, nice selection of ready made food,ie: lasagne, rice, potatoes, & lots of other bits that you can buy by the tub, so easy, fresh fruit & veg is good, the cakes in the cabinet are good as well, only downside no fresh milk, we did ask someone & he showed us long life.
Nice casual place. Some good deals to be had. Nice food upstairs plenty to choose from. Shamrock bar good for a bit of live music at night
Fantastic shopping centre, just what the area needed. Beautifully lit up in the evening, good selection of shops, Stradavarious, Bershka, Lefties, Pull & Bear, JD Sports, Lacoste, and many more. Good selection of cafes and restaurants, good seating areas. Free Parking most of the days, pet friendly also. Love it
