Almost don’t want to sing its praises too much in case prices rise and it becomes too in demand! A unique, wonderful and stylish hotel. The terrace has amazing views, the rooms are simple but comfortable, the staff are lovely and it was spotlessly clean. Not suitable for anyone unable to climb stairs or who would want a pool. We will be coming again next year for sure
Il Monastero is a unique hotel that offers five star quality surroundings, staff and food. The lush gardens, beautiful views, tranquil and relaxed feeling … it’s a special place you really need to absorb and take in. Multiple nights suggested: Ischia offers plenty for 3-4 days and is better enjoyed without a rush. And Il Monastero offers the perfect stay.
Our stay was nothing short of spectacular. The location is incredible - you’re staying in a unique monument with views that are out of this world (even considering Italian standards). The family owned hotel is very tastefully decorated with art made by several of the family members - perfect blend of history with contemporary touches. The breakfast was another highlight - varied and delicious ingredients. Loved the cafeteria as well that offered varied frames over the bay and sea under the trees. The garden was just incredibly beautiful. Service was outstanding, including the proactive help we got with managing our luggage up and down the hill. One of the most unique hotels I’ve stayed in. Would go back in a heartbeat
My recent visit to Il Monastero Hotel was a wonderful experience, set against one of the most spectacular backdrops imaginable. From the moment we arrived, the check-in staff made us feel incredibly welcome, taking the time to explain everything we needed to know for our stay. Our room, #21, was a particular highlight. It was not only spacious and comfortable but also featured a balcony with truly spectacular views that we couldn't get enough of. The evening atmosphere was lovely as well. We enjoyed drinks and a decent dinner in a beautifully set environment. Dinner was Ok. While the stay was wonderful overall, a couple of things could be improved. The breakfast was a bit of a letdown compared to the rest of the experience. The coffee, in particular, was quite poor, and it felt a little limiting when the staff only offered "espresso or cappuccino" to guests. I believe with a little more training, the breakfast service could easily match the high standards of the rest of the hotel. Keep in mind that there are few stairs to climb, the lift went out of service during our last night. While we enjoyed the experience of walking up to the hotel, others might find it difficult. I highly recommend using the parking lot about a 12-minute walk away. It was a convenient solution for keeping our car overnight. Despite these minor points, our stay was truly special and I would absolutely go back one day to experience the unique charm and incredible views that Il Monastero offers.
This experience was truly unique: to be accommodated in such a fabulous castle, with a breathtaking view and a team of staff that are absolutely the kindest possible. Il Monastero is the only place in Ischia which can offer such experience. We are truly grateful for being able to live it just before the season ended! Thank you very much.
The Albergo II Monastery is a magnificent blend of history and hospitality - an old Monastery and caslte lovingly converted into a hotel. The setting is stunning, with breathtaking gardens and panoramic views over the island that are simply unforgettable (especially if you are there on the Feast of St Anna - amazing view on the fireworks). The food is outstanding: organic refined, flavorful, and of an exceptional quality. The staff are warm, attentive and go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The design and aesthetics are nice, creating an elegant and serene atmosphere. Overall, a beautiful and memorable stay. It is a little sad that the building's original monastic identity has been almost entirely erased - especially in such a historic comple, in a country with deep Catholic roots like Italy. The rooms, while comfortable, could benefit from slight renovations to add more "wow" factor, comfort and a stronger sense of character.
It was such a treat to stay here! A unique experience and outstanding views. Super cool to explore the site, eat at an upscale restaurant, and friendly staff too. They have porters, but still check ahead of time that it's accessible for your needs (stairs).
This is sheer heaven. Staff so helpful and kind. Views amazing and history , well read about it. One needs to be fit as many steps to get there. A lift for part of it. I was using a stick so that slowed me down. Lovely Salvatore made sure our cases were taken from us on arrival and departure. I have left a bit of my heart there and will go back. The French’s

I loved the beach and had a wonderful day. The only problem is that the black sand is very beautiful, but I ended up burning my feet a bit underneath 😂😂 but I recommend it.
Lovely beach for snorkeling and relaxing! We saw lots of small fish and even a black and yellow moray eel. In some areas you can see the CO2 bubbles coming up to the surface! There was a bit of trash though… a beach cleanup would be appreciated! Don’t forget to take your trash with you!
One of the best places on the earth, I can say.. I went early morning in a "bad weather " and it was amazingly beautiful with almost no one around.. I went again to enjoy the sunset as well.. a must visit place!
By far the best beach on the island. The lounger are also reasonably priced for the day and the facilities are great. The water and beach is additionally spotless. Overall, dreamy.
Lovely place, but It's a shame that there are not enough free beaches. For a single day at the beach you have to spend at least: - 10€ for parking; - 25€ for two deck chairs and a beach umbrella.
Amazing beach 🥰
Hiked here from Sant'Angelo. Well-marked trail starts near the arch at the entrance to town. Passes Fumarole Beach, then a climb with some dirt trails. Lots of options to beach, refresh, or eat at Maronti. I took the water taxi back to Sant'Angelo. Lots of fun and a must for Elena Ferrante fans

The beach is mostly inaccessible at the moment due to falling rocks leaving a very small area of beach to use. There are a lot of steep steps down to the beach. However, the view is nice.
Lovely little beach if you’re up for a nice long stroll down a windy road and steps, and back up again. I love that it wasn’t as crowded as the other beaches probably because it’s not as readily accessible. The sun goes down over the mountain around 3/4pm but I didn’t mind at all and had a really nice day there. Two restaurants serve food and have a typical café/bar for beverages but I brought my lunch. I did unfortunately find some trash on the beach maybe from the wind washing it ashore, so I implore you to pick up and throw away anything you see to help keep the beaches and sea life healthy!
Small poor beach. A steep walk path leads to it. Atmosphere is quite low
Small and narrow beach and so difficult way to access (steps). Isn't worth to go.
We went here based on a suggestion from hotel.com and were one of 2 groups of people there. It could be very beautiful with a bit of work, but we felt uneasy and as if we weren't meant to be there. We went elsewhere quickly and would recommend you do too.
Very sketchy. Not clean. Looks abandoned and not safe. Difficult to get to, do not recommend.

(Translated by Google) Very nice, on 3 floors, I also find it a nice place to bring children! In fact, perhaps I recommend it especially to those with children, because it's not big, it's not boring and there are exhibits of boats and stories of the island... I'd say that an hour of entertainment is all there is to it. (Original) Molto carino, su 3 piani, lo trovo un vel posto anche dove portare i bambini! The museum is quite interesting but very small.

This Hotel is absolutely my first choice, for position, food, pools, therms, medical treatments, warm atmosphere etc.. Great level of care for any kind of problem you might have during the permanence . TOP for professional / empathy thanks to great skills belongings to people working in there. Starting from the management , of course. Don't miss ISCHIA anyway !
The hotel is very big and there are two beautiful swimming pool (outside and inside) and a sauna included in the price. The welcome beauty package was a total body massage and a face mask and this was quite pleasant. The room we were given was directly on the road (via delle Terme) and it was very noisy. When we signalled to the reception, we were told “nobody ever complained”, but from 7am in the morning there was already a lot of traffic.. moreover we were told that it was still too early to have air conditioning in April, but the hotel and the room itself was so hot that it was impossible to sleep without opening the windows (thus even more noise). Food was really average considering you are in Italy, and they would recycle the dessert for many days presenting it for breakfast. However many other choices were given. Plenty of activities in the evening which it was also not so bad.
One of the Best Hotels in place, central positioned. Big SPA department! Top Hotel!
Old, unkept, no maintenance, no atmosphere, no service, awful food, dirty common area furniture, it rains in the covered pool area, and all this for a hefty price. Never again!!!
Pompous yet old , terrible service. Very expensive. Terrible foid

I recently visited Beauty Center Ischia Aenaria for a manicure and pedicure, and I was thoroughly impressed. The salon was impeccably clean, creating a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Erica and Antonio provided exceptional service, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. They were incredibly accommodating, ensuring that I was comfortable throughout the entire experience. Not only did they meet my expectations, but they also went above and beyond, exceeding any previous salon experience I've had. I highly recommend Beauty Center Ischia Aenaria for anyone seeking top-notch manicure and pedicure services or any other beauty services.
Unfortunately I am very dissatisfied with the work done, especially as the price of nails was almost double I pay in London. The man was great and very hospitable and chatty but I know think it was to take the attention away from how badly the nails are being done. They are thick, you can see the air coming underneath the cuticles - the gel has lifted even though I didn’t use any water on hands for 24h as instructed, you can see gel on right hand ring finger is so thin it’s already broken on side, there’s a cut, the left hand the gel is so unevenly spread it is not even straight and left random bubbling, also index finger already broke a piece on top that I had to file down. This kind of work hasn’t lasted me even a week and charging €70, while normally I can go easily 3 weeks without touch up . Very bad uneven work, the nails were also filed down diagonally on the side as gel is not properly fitted on whole nailplate , you can again see the index finger where my nail plate is growing on the side that was filed down for no reason,if I would still be in Ischia I would ask for refund because now I need to go fix it. Edit - the price was no problem if the work would have been done properly, unfortunately I arrived very late and it was already dark, your salon light is also a bit dimmed so I didn’t look very closely at the time and was busy during holiday so I didn’t even have time to pay attention until now that I’m closely having a look, also because it would have been okay, not perfect or very well done but acceptable if 2 nails would have not broken in a week. That’s clearly not a good job, if you look at the pictures, how uneven the gel is and how uneven French line is and you think it’s a good job then I don’t know - maybe extra training is needed
If you are in Ischia this is the best place! They looked after us so well and this man is amazing at his job. The nails are such good quality and he made sure of it. Thank you very much :)
Full volume eyelash fill: The sweetest couple owns this business! I only had a few lashes left on one eye and still have a week until I go back to Los Angeles. I was very lucky that they were able to schedule me on short notice and worked late to fit me in after another evening client. The lashes look great, full volume is what I go for and she matched the style perfectly. They have a great business and I am surprised they do so many services so well when estheticians in LA usually only do one service. They also sell a line of skincare products and were fully stocked with makeup for purchase. They offered me refreshments and a lemon from their tree! They even made sure I could get back to my hotel ok since it was late. The beauty center is only about a 3 minute walk from the main port so it wasn’t an issue. Thank you!
I am visiting from out of the country and was so lucky to find the perfect place for my nails and toes! Near the port, it’s an easy bus ride to this husband and wife’s cozy shop. Not knowing Italian isn’t a problem. I used WhatsApp and messaged the shop after calling to schedule. I’ve always had nail techs tell me that my nail bed was too wide to have slim almond shape nails, but I found it wasn’t true! I got THE BEST NAILS OF MY LIFE. I am so happy! They do not rush you and are very professional and happy. I recommend this place! I got them done again right before I head home. Highly recommend! They take cards and offer coffee and water. There is also WiFi and a grocery store on the same street. :) Also they do massages, brow and lash lamination, waxing and makeup!
Antonello & Erika exceeded my expectations (and I’m very fussy and quite the perfectionist for all of my beauty treatments I have done back home in Australia) from the moment I contacted them through WhatsApp they replied immediately and were very accommodating squeezing me in last minute. Walking into their spa was a delight, from beautiful flowers and fresh Ischia lemons in the basket on the table to a warm welcoming and greeting… as if I was finally home. Erika did one of the best pedicures and French polish applications I’ve ever had and Antonello did my manicure and painted my hands perfectly. I couldn’t be happier with my experience and if I lived in Ischia, they’d have a new regular customer 🙋🏻‍♀️ the entire appointment was so comforting and enjoyable and for once, I’m so happy with the work. 10/10 !!! It was a pleasure to meet such a beautiful couple. I am very grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏🏼 I couldn’t recommend this business any more highly. Do yourself a favour and make an appointment. You won’t regret it.
Needed my nails done in ischia so came here for a manicure and they were absolutely amazing!! Highly recommend 😍😍
I am so happy I discovered this nail salon and beauty studio! This will be my go-to beauty center in Ischia- not only for nails but also for waxing and other aesthetics. The owner and his wife are so kind and thorough, and my manicure and pedicure were done to perfection. They even stayed open late for me and found me an appointment same day, a true demonstration of care and exceptional customer service. I was offered continual refreshments, had great conversation and a relaxing environment to accompany my services. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail with my nail shape- I prefer a narrow nail and I know this is harder to achieve with a wider set nail bed but the salon owner did this for me and double checked that I was happy with the shape! A wonderful experience, I look forward to my next visit.

I cannot OVER RECOMMEND this diving spot enough. This was the coolest experience my boyfriend and I have ever had! The staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND-- they were kind, understanding, and more than helpful when I was afraid. The snorkeling group size is small, and there are a lot of staff that go with you. We had a group of 2, but overall there were 8 of us and 5 employees on our boat. The boat ride was smooth. The employees are knowledgeable and take every advantage to point out cool things. Absolutely would do it again!!
Thank you Alfredo for this wonderful day. And thank you to Pietro for organizing this snorkeling experience for our group. What a fantastic day in nature, in the crystal Blu waters of ischia. Exploring all its natural caves and wonders. Leaving everlasting beautiful memories.
Wonderful day snorkelling. While there might have been some language difficulties, we felt safe, the boat was an ideal platform, our dive leader was knowledgeable and we had a fantastic experience.
Just done two weeks in Italy and this was a highlight of the trip. What they don't boast about on the website - even though they should - is how knowledgeable the guides are about the archaeology and biology of the sites you visit. The information given was very insightful and fascinating and it really added to the fun of swimming around the sites. The guides were very caring for different abilities as well: someone on our boat was a bit frightened of the water, and the guides did what they could to help this person step out of their comfort zone and enjoy themselves.
very knowledgeable, patient and friendly instructors. the water was pristine and just incredible for a first dive. will definitely be coming back here.
Good value and very fun. The instructor is really nice. He is also very knowledgeable and patient.
Went on the caves snorkeling tour - very nice, friendly crew, small boat. Would recommend!
My wife and I had an amazing snorkeling experience with Michele and Emanuele. Cost was very reasonable for the quality of the snorkeling experience (with Michele as a guide) especially with Emanuele’s knowledge and expertise. The caves, grottos, volcanic, and ancient ruins were really amazing to experience!

If only for the view I would have given 5 stars to the restaurant. Turns out the food was delicious and the service perfect! We also stayed at the beach club and they invited us - waw that was so nice - I will definitely come back🙏👍
It’s ok. Gave us some story about we should’ve had a reservation and could only have the table for 1 hr. Seemed suspiciously like a thing they do to foreign tourists. Beautiful views and good prices. Food was tasty but nothing special. Pasta is not homemade.
A dream location with a breathtaking view of the Aragonese castle and amazing fresh seafood. Book in advance, as the place is tiny and gets busy very quickly. The starters were amazing and so was the fish (a local specialty called pezogna), which was grilled with salt - highly recommended!
Great food and service. Especially for seafood lovers. The grilled octopus and grilled fish of the day were fresh and very tasty. Also spaghetti with zucchini and cheese was very good. The restaurant had a great view to the Aragonese Castle!
Wow!! This place is incredible, the perfect setting for a wedding. We had the time of our lives. Everything about it was magical, from the ceremony at the top, to the insane buffets of amazing Italian foods, to the great service of dinner, to the crazy dancing at the end. The setting and view are out of this world. Loved everything about this place!!
This place is more for the view and the experience I think. We took a water taxi at night to the restaurant which was a cool experience with the castle in the background. Then our table had views of the castle all night. The food was okay. Was not necessarily impressed with it, especially compared to some of the other amazing meals we’ve had in Ischia. The shrimp pasta smelled and tasted extremely fishy, so we didn’t really enjoy that and didn’t end up finishing it.
We ordered food on our boat. And they didn't count the trasport fee from their restaurant to our boat. No service just the food. The food was amazing. Amazing service. The guy who delivered the food for us was very kind. Thank you for the experience :)
Went to a wedding party at this beautiful amazing place. If I could I would give it 6 stars. Food, drinks and staff were outstanding. The location itself is beyond STUNNING.

Absolutely adored this winery!!! The food and wine was excellent, the view is spectacular, and after an amazing dinner, my current fiancé actually proposed to me here! Marco, the owner, was so kind and made our time here so enjoyable. He gave the most amazing tour of the wine cellar with a great story of its history and how they make their wines, and of course we left with a couple of bottles. I would love to come back one day and relive the memory! Absolutely would recommend this place to anyone thinking of visiting.
First time visiting the beautiful island of Ischia. My family originated here. This is a must-stop. The owner, Marcos invited us into his “living-room.” (as he calls it) Very family oriented, you can see he treats his visitors well. The tour was surprisingly filled with the island’s rich history which you can sense once you go past the cellar doors. We highly recommend this as a stop in Ischia. If you like wine and history and good friends, this is highly recommended.
If you are interested in artisan craft, wine, history or would just love to see a secret cave, this is for you. Marco (forgive me if I haven’t spelt this correctly) was a wonderful host, a 4th generation of the Perrazzo family and his passion for the history and culture of wine production and Ischia tradition pours from him. Great sense of humour mixed in, and a few dashes of celebrity mixed into the history of the place. The wines are beautiful and to hear the methods of production and hard work that goes into them makes them sing all that more on the palette. Highlight for me was of course seeing the ancient Roman cave, housing many thousands of bottles of wine, and a walking history of wine making equipment and machinery. Thank you for a wonderful evening! Danny & Naomi
An amazing experience with Marco at Perrazzo wine tasting room in Ischia Porto. So much history, and Marco showed us the Roman cave that holds thousands of bottles of wine, and told us it’s fascinating history as well as famous visitors and clients, whilst we enjoyed tasting 4 of their delicious wines. An unexpected highlight of our day!
There aren’t enough stars to explain how amazing our experience here was. Marco was the most accommodating , knowledgeable, and fun guide as we learned all about Ischias history and the history of the beautiful wines we tasted. Every wine had a unique profile and it blew us away that we left the winery with several bottles of each it was that good. The cave was a very cool feature to explore and there were many artifacts from this wine making family spanning back to 1880. I cant recommend this tour enough don’t miss out!
Marco was an amazing host for my boyfriend and I. We drank his incredible wine and explored the Roman cave attached to the shop. Marco made our experience in Ischia very special. Highly recommend!
The owner of the shop is was very lovely and told me and my family the full history of wine making and also beautiful stories of Ischia island. Highly recommend making a stop here once you are in Ischia.
Incredible experience! Owner Marco is a brilliant storyteller and makes even better wines. A must on any trip to Ischia!

Great picture place!
A really nice aqueduct, weird smell around it though
An overlooked wonder of Roman ingenuity.
Worth a walk to this. Take a minute to look along the whole length. Impressive.
(Translated by Google) The Ischia Viaduct, built in the 18th century because there was actually no other way to get water from A to B. A triumph of necessity! Of course, they could have settled for a simple structure, but no - the Bourbons opted for a monumental bridge that looks like it would challenge the Seven Wonders of the World. And why? Because water has to flow stylishly. Practical? Absolutely. Exaggerated? Naturally. But at least it worked and still looks like it was meant to last forever.

(Translated by Google) Interesting to see the whole thing live and outside of well-known places. The section of the aqueduct is approximately 1 km and is adorned by a "city gate" through which the main street runs. Not a highlight (except for history enthusiasts), but nice to take with you and reach directly via the ÖVP.
