Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in Ischia

WOW. We had a great experience here. This was something different. This was BY FAR our favorite spot on our trip to Ischia! We had accidentally found this restaurant, thanks to google maps,reading the positive reviews and have tried to see the „old Italien school“ restaurant. Entrance is a little difficult to find, one must ring at to enter. Accidentally, we got a table without reservation and so many great things to say! The food was absolutely delicious and so very fresh. The staff were so kind and welcoming. We loved the atmosphere with live music and overall location. Stunning view from above we had. Highly recommended.

The food was excellent! The mushroom risotto was the best dish we have had in our vacation. The music and vibes were amazing. We really enjoyed our dinner there. They got us three appetizers, and we got to choose the main dishes and the dessert from a set menu. If you want to try authentic italian dishes, this is the place that you should visit!

An authentic experience. Any tourist who doesn't understand that old school Italian authenticity should probably stay away. No compromises here. They do what they do and do it well.

A great experience with amazing food and friendly staff. A true hidden gem. Worth the drive up the hill. Keep an eye out for the gate though, there is a big car park opposite.

Food was amazing, the atmosphere is also mesmerizing. However the staff could be a bit more smiling and welcoming. Personally for me it felt a bit awkward. The wine that they produce tastes amazing! It is written online that they take card, but when you go there the first think they say is that they take only cash! You also don’t get a lot of food for the money! Dishes are not kid friendly, since they are chilli/peppery. Overall ok experience, concerning taste and location, but I would not go there again.

The restaurant is situated at a very nice and different location with views from the island's mountains. The menu is fixed with a limited amount of choices, but is designed in order to have them all work together extremely well. All of the dishes we got to try were very good and all of the portion sizes were abundant. We received various appetizers, some bottles of water, pasta, risotto, meat, sausages, and three different desserts and ended up paying a stunning low bill of 60€ for 2 people. The staff was very friendly and service was extremely fast and efficient.

Will not even exaggerate saying it's in the current top-3 of my favourite restaurants. I visited it at the end of March, right after the opening. Been the only visitor, warmly met by staff and had absolutely wonderful and chill time. Tried a delicate tasting seafood pasta with a nice local wine, complimented by delicious bread. Great experience and my absolute recommendation

Good pizza. Delicious plates. Grilled vegetables and eggplant parmigiana were delicious. Beautifully located right in front of the port of Forio.

Wasn’t expecting anything but it was perfect, 5 out of 5! Table was given in seconds, food was served in less than 5 min, and the pizza was soooo good! Also rabbit was great. Prices are ok, too! Definitely recommended!

We had a phenomenal dining experience here. On a night where the seas were rough - we by chance got blessed to dine with the place to ourselves. From the wine, to the food, to the service, we couldn’t thank the team enough. This has been our best evening in Ischia! A gardenia between two thorns..

We just went there to have aperitivo. The place location is perfect. The view is looking to napoli procida. I love the view. The drinks were good too. But aperitivo variety was very limited. They could have added a few more different things. There is a parking lot above the venue. The staff was kind and helpful. We paid 21 euros for 2 drinks.

The servers in the restaurant were a little pretentious. One of them was friendly, the others were not. They brought me the wrong entree and i said “that’s not what i ordered” and this pushy/grumpy server said “it’s good, you will like it” instead of sorry??? Bc it took so long i went along w it. Food was fresh and good, we still had fun. It wasn’t transparent they automatically charge you per person for the beach club on our lunch bill. We didn’t want 5 chairs, only 2 but they tried to charge us 100€. …they need share that info upfront. I’m ok w spending more but i think better service is expected at these prices.

I can only give this beach club 5 stars! It was exceptional. It is truly the most magical garden by the sea and if I could I would have spent every day here. Absolutely worth a visit. Great location, fantastic value for money, lovely staff who managed to accommodate us without a reservation. Great food and service (by Marco). This was not an obnoxious type beach club - it had a great vibe and was relaxing.

Dream Stay! Incredible service from Mauro:From the moment we arrived, he took care of ordering a taxi for us. He made sure to introduce us to Ischia and all the must-see spots. Throughout our stay, he helped us organize our trips, even going so far as to fetch croissants for us from town in the morning. The location is idyllic; we felt perfectly isolated from the more touristy center of Ischia. The food was delicious.

I stayed at an airbnb on the property and can say these are some of the kindest and caring people you will meet!! I stepped on a sea urchin my last day here and not only did they offer helpful remedies for the sting, they also regularly came by our patio to check on me for the next several hours. I can't comment on the food (great coffee and apertivo though) as we didn't get a chance to have a meal there but they could not have been kinder!!! The water and beach club are absolutely stunning. 10/10 place and 100/100 people!

This is the busiest place in town. Italians usually eat late but to get in they are going early, the place is packed by 8pm. They take your name and you can wait outside, looked like a 30-40 min wait. They do takeaway pizzas & you don’t have to wait as long, they discount the by €2 so 2pizzas cost us €11… bargin and best pizza I’ve had (though I’m not a lover of pizza) these were not soggy, dough light & toppings tasty. The rest of the menu sounded great, the only place that did risotto but I didn’t want to wait that long. They don’t take reservations just just come & see

We really enjoyed our first visit, so we came back just a couple of days later! It does get crowded, but the service remains professional and efficient, so the wait time is very reasonable. The food is tasty, and the prices are truly some of the best in the area. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful evening here the other night and loved it so much we went back again tonight. We enjoyed the bruschetta, grilled fish, fresh limone pasta, tomato salad and gelato to finish it off. The servers are friendly and patient with our attempts to order in Italian. The food is amazing and at just the right price. Grazie La Tinaia - we will be back!

A wonderful restaurant in the heart of Forio. Pizza and eggplant parmigiana were absolutely delicious and the lambrusco wine was fabulous. Great service and nice atmosphere. We are looking forward to going back on our next visit to Forio.

If you want to try authentic and best local food for pizza and carne then this I the best place to eat with family and friends. The queue is long so make sure you rese e in advance in order to avoid long waiting time

This place is definitely a gem. It’s also very cooly decorated on the inside, but the terrace is a lovely place to sit for lunch. The staff were so kind! Everything tasted great and it was reasonably priced. I would come back!

First place we had food in Ischia, and a place we have returned to multiple times since. As I mention in other reviews, I'd take or leave seafood. This "menu d'Terra" here is simple but brilliant. I could have their sorrentina for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their Aglio e olio is subtle and delicious. The restaurant was quiet this time of year when we visited, but it's off season. I know this place is in the middle of a great corner of the island , so atmosphere is normally great around here.

A restaurant with a great atmosphere and very pleasant and fast service. My wife and I ordered the grilled calamari and the meal was one big taste buds concert. The prices fully correspond to the quality of the food served. I can only recommend the restaurant.

We visited this establishment with my mom on our trip, not knowing anything about this place, but we were captured by the cozy atmosphere. We were looking only for a light lunch, since the temperatures were high. Food was amazing, drinks too, ingredients are high quality, the staff was kind and helpful, and very accomodating. Prices comparable with other similiar restaurants in this area. We highly recommend this place.

A wonderful local spot in ischia ponte . Me and my family enjoyed a nice lunch . The kids shared a pizza and me and my wife hade a spaghetti alle vongole and a frittura di calamari . Everything was on point ! Haven't bin in ischia ponte for a while ... but aglio olio and pomodoro was def worth it !

We loved this place. We felt welcomed and we enjoyed meeting the people around us and the staff was very friendly. It was nice to watch the pizza chef make the pizzas and the flavor was very good and they were hot which is the only way food should be served. We were only here for 3 nights and we ate here twice. They deserve the score they have been given and I believe they’re doing their absolute best to deliver great food and service. Give this place a try for sure!

Authentic small pizzeria in Sant'Angelo. They are polite, welcoming and provide quick service. Be prepared that during busy hours, there might be a waiting line in the street, but it does really worth it, the food is great and not expensive at all. Highly recommended!

O am traveling alone and they were able to seat me right away. The service was excellent and my pizza arrived at the table VERY quickly. They have a large menu with many options. That atmosphere is great. It’s casual and cozy and I found the prices to be fair. I would highly recommend if you are looking for pizza while in Sant Angelo.

Busy and well-run restaurant in the winding layers of Sant' Angelo. Truly a pizzeria, but some other nice plates as well. Great variety of toppings and combos are also available as calzones (folded in half before cooking) or pinched over on four corners! And the crust is one of the best anywhere! Open kitchen makes it fun to watch the pies go in & out of the large wood-fired oven. Very relaxed atmosphere, even when it is busiest between 8 - 9. People took breaks from their meals to stroll outside with glasses of wine, and generally made for a fun vibe. And, the food was great. Quality ingredients, generous portions and delicious combinations. And very reasonable prices! This is a gem of an eating experience!

Absolutely amazing, from another word. One of the best pizzas I had traveling Campania. Had the Siciliana, with anchovies, capers and garlic and no cheese, the tomato sauce was insanely tasty, I will really miss it in my life from now on.

We ate here twice during our stay, in the evening. It was always busy (good sign) when other places were empty! The pizza was SOOOOOO good, lovely little place and the staff were super nice. We did have to wait but it was only about 10 minutes before a table became free. We'll be back next year!

Food was tasty, we liked especially chickpeas with octopus and fish of the day and a very nice view to Aragonese Castle.

We were really looking forward to dining here, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. Upon arrival, we were told that outdoor seating was unavailable for guests without reservations — which we would have understood — except that just 10 minutes later, other walk-in guests were seated outside. We waited about 1 hour and 30 minutes for a salad and risotto. The dishes arrived in the wrong order, with the salad served after the risotto. The salad itself was underwhelming (as you can tell by the photo), and the olive oil and vinegar only arrived as we were finishing it. The risotto was ok. We wouldn’t recommend this place.

2018 review: Best seafood risotto on the island. Must visit 5/5 2024 review: this place used to be cocogelo and I've been over 50 times. It's always been one of the best restaurants on the island. I must say this time it was a total disappointment. The food was tasteless and the server did not listen to instructions. When specified one of the people at the table wanted a dish with no fish head.... he says ok I got something for you. And brings out 3 fishes on a plate with heads. There was no language barrier since we speak fluent italian. I am leaving the review in English so tourists can avoid what used to be a once great place.

I do not do reviews like this ever but I was so disappointed. Do not even attempt to go here if you are American. I sat with my sister for over 30 minutes while they waited on everyone around us and completely ignored us. Even trying to get their attention they blew us off. All while the table next to us was accidentally Served 2 bottles of wine instead of the one they ordered because two different servers were willing to take care of them instead of acknowledge us. I do however highly recommend this place down the street with great service and a very cute atmosphere. O’Puosto

Delightful place to eat. Highly recommended by Christian who sells the best liqueurs on their Main Street. Has an amazing view. Nicoleta makes the best pasta and even better desserts. Thank you!!

Great simple and flavoursome food. The dishes were well prepared, the team was very Italian which is actually something I learn to appreciate :) the view of the castle and location is amazing. The toilets are clean and pleasant .

The waiters are attentive and polite. Great view of the castle. Baby calamari fritti is to die for. Their batter is not thick. Ask for cocktail list. If you’re using a non-EU card, make sure you let the waiter know NOT to accept conversion.

An absolute gem right on the beach! Gino is a wonderful family-run Italian restaurant with the friendliest staff and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Their homemade bruschettas are out of this world—fresh, flavorful, and made with real care. You can taste the authenticity in every bite. We arrived with a family of 3, and asked if we could sit in a table of 4, which had 2 tables together. We were told no, that it is for bigger company. After us came a party of 3, and they were okay to sit to that table. We ordered 8 euros lasagnes and it came out from the microwave, so we really didn't feel to try any bruschetta or anything else after that. And won't be returning.

Probably the best bruschetta in our trip in this small unassuming place. Massive portion, fresh and tasty. We also had the pasta pomodoro and a salad. Drinks were reasonable, service was quick!

Don't judge this place by the outside. What looks like a Shack from the street is actually an oasis on the water and it has everything you are looking for! A family run business and Gino leads the crew with an attentive eye and multilingual charm. The prices are more than fair especially considering the views from every seat of the water. The food is truly impressive with large portions (we shared a panini) and great taste. No air conditioning needed as fully covered and ocean breezes are free. Bathrooms and beach area as well. Overall a fantastic pit stop if you are in the area.

This restaurant was everything we were hoping for. The atmosphere, the service and the Mediterranean food was memorable. We ordered a variety of items for ourselves and 3 children and everything was fresh and delicious. The octopus, clams, mussels and fish were amazing!! Now that we are back home in the states, we definitely wanted to write a review to share this restaurant so others will have the chance to go!!

Having stayed in Sant’Angelo for a week, we tried pretty much every restaurant for lunch or dinner. This is by far the best for atmosphere, location and most importantly food. We luckily booked the seagull table which adds to the experience! Excellent service and the best food we had all trip. Highly recommend but reserve early if you want prime seating

This is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever been to. The team were kind enough to accommodate us even when we didn’t have a booking. I would really recommend eating slightly earlier at approximately 7:30pm-8:30pm so you can see the most magnificent sunset!

Very good short pasta with fish of the day (cod) and same short wide tubes with tuna and basil. Nice salad and grilled zucchini. Amazing views of the sapphire sea glimmering like a galaxy of diamonds. Terribly dissonant and annoying American ‘80s covers in the background, though.

This restaurant is a must when visiting Ischia! My wife and I enjoyed every part of it. The food was delicious, the staff were so friendly and the live music/atmosphere had everyone singing and laughing. The views from the patio were world class. Can not recommend enough :)

The best dinner I had in Ischia was this blue spirulina spaghetti with zucchini and shrimp. It was a first time to try, and was delicious. Can’t wait to go back! Compliments to the Chef.

Don’t skip! One of those places where you never want to, nor feel like you have to, leave. Don’t sleep on the wine with peaches.

We ordered one kind of wine, brought another. Chicken with cherrry tomatoes for 2 person 13,50€, ischia fish 13€, sardines 8,5€, fried potatoes 4€, donuts 4€, sprite 3€. It was tasty. We was waiting very long. Doesn't pay attention, when we want to pay. Service didn't like, but the chef of the kitchen produces a delicious meal.

The place is in Maronti beach’s area even if a bit off the beaten track. We decided to come here because of the good reviews and were not disappointed at all. The food was delicious: we had parmigiana di melanzana as starter and pasta aglio olio e peperoncino and pasta with clams as first dishes and everything tasted great! On the top of that Vincenzo, the owner of the place, is a very special person. He came to speak with us few times and made us feel at home. The only regret that we had is that we couldn’t eat anymore! (You might want to book a table in advance because the place is often fully booked, especially during summer).

A true gem in Ischia. We walked for 3 km to get to here and almost got lost, but when we finally arrived it was all worth it. The place, the food, the service, the view, everything was perrrrrfect!

Take the water taxi from Sant Angelo to the restaurant, 4euros per person per trip. You walk a narrow alley until you reach what looks like a hole in the wall. A cozy atmosphere and relaxed sitting. Food is fresh and cooked inside the kitchen just for you. Prices are good. Food is all cooked to order. They take Visa. TiP: bring Mosquito repellant and thank me later specially in summer.

This hotel has an amazing location on the Tyrrhenian Sea in Forio. And by “on the sea” it is on the sea!! Our balcony doors opened to the water. It is only a 6 minute walk from the ferry. It is adjacent to the Chiesa Del Soccorso. The rooms are a bit tired but for the price it can’t be beat. The staff is very attentive and the breakfast very tasty!

Umberto a Mare boasts stunning views, but that’s where the positives end. The staff was incompetent, when I asked how the caviar was served, the waitress casually said “on a piece of bread,” dismissing my clarification about blinis. The food was bland and nearly inedible, a real disappointment. The only saving grace was the lovely bread paired with fantastic olive oils. Sadly, not enough to redeem the experience. Avoid unless you’re just there for the scenery.

Disappointing experience overall. The service was slow, inattentive, and unprofessional, which set the tone for the evening. The food itself wasn’t terrible, but it definitely didn’t stand out or justify the prices - it was just average at best. If you’re looking for a fine dining experience, I’d recommend taking your money somewhere else.

We had a reservation for sunday evening. Sunday morning, we learnt my wife's uncle passed away, and had to go back in France in Urgence. This was the priority and we took flights in the afternoon and evening and forgot to cancel the restaurant, which, in those circumstances, seem understandable. We sent an email to them to explain. This is the answer we got (picture). They are sorry but they don't care, this is small restaurant and we knew cancellation policy. Do you really want to eat in a place who lost total humanity ? I won't...

We went for the restaurant, the place is gorgeous if you want to go there to Watch for the sunset. Food was good but just as it less than the restaurant on the main walk, what separates this place to the others it’s the price and the location, but you are paying just for this last one, not for the food. Portions need to be increased as they are just a tentative to look “gourmet”. The spaghetti with Ricciola was totally missing fish traces, the Coffee dessert is a simple mascarpone cream that obviously taste good. Good food, great place but totally overpriced for the food! Service was not up to prices, with many misses such as not serving the wine.

The place is really nice and the view on the sea is breathtaking. We went for a dinner, so I can judge the restaurant quality. I will give 3 out of 5 stars because the check was really high compared to the quality of the meals, I've loved one of them but the appetizers weren't so good. I was with my friends, we were 7 at the table and on 508 euro bill they asked also for the 8 euro , I think that it could have been nicer to delete the 8 euro from the bill. In the end, is good but be careful

The restaurant had a great atmosphere. It was my fault not to check the menu beforehand because I wasn’t expecting to see no seafood options when I got there. My husband tried the rabbit and found it kind of dry. I had to order normal steak and it was normal. Bucatini with rabbit was good. Cocktails are super cheap, 6 euros per. We were surrounded with bees and the restaurant tried to do anything possible to help us. However I still find it weird that a restaurant on an island doesn’t have any seafood options.

This restaurant has a true authentic Italian menu and atmosphere. Think farm to table. The steak is delicious. It was actually our second time here and so glad that we went back. We took a route getting there where the road was very narrow. Be sure to check your navigation for the more direct way in and out. The wait staff was attentive and the ambiance was romantic. So glad we went again.

You must visit this spot if you are vacationing in Ischia. I suggest making a reservation so you can try the rabbit cooked in a terra cotta dish with bucatini. It was delicious! The property itself is beautiful; the restaurant is a former wine cellar and felt very romantic. We arrived on a scooter which helped navigate the long, winding driveway but I did see others arrive in cars, so it’s not a must. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind.

Easily our best meal in Ischia. As others have mentioned, it is a bit of a trek up a narrow hill, but well worth it. The location and restaurant itself are stunning. We had the appetizer combo, mix meat entree, and pomodoro pasta. All phenomenal. Only gripe was the wifi was weak and they didn’t have physical menus so had to use the servers phone.

An amazing place, with delicious food and incredible hospitality! We had lunch at Saturnino and finally got to taste the local rabbit anf were totally charmed. Thank you, you are doin a great job! Also, I need to mention the bathroom, because not only was it beautifully decorated, but the “melograno” fragrance from Dr. Vranjes made it like a magic place.

This is my favorite restaurant on Ischia. This was actually the second time we ate here, and it was even better than two years ago. We had the set menu, portions were generous and each of the courses had distinct flavours. We paired it with a lovely bottle of a local natural wine (Bajola). Our dinner was genuinely exciting and outpaced the other Michelin guide restaurant in the town of Forio. When we return to Ischia, returning here is a no-brainer!

Everything was delicious. Tasty and yet delicate. The restaurant is curated into the very details, looking perfect for any kind of event. The staff is attentive and nice.

We had chef’s tasting menu (4 courses and dessert,65€) - it was amazing, super innovative fish dishes. If you want a non-standard Italian dining experience, I highly recommend it. The service was also excellent- friendly, polite, with dishes coming one after the other but not too quickly. Enjoyed it a lot. You have to reserve in advance in a summer season because there aren’t so many tables and it gets full!

We stumbled upon Taverna Antonio by pure chance—and what a find. They were fully booked for the night, but graciously squeezed our party of two in, and thank god they did. As a foodie, I thought I had seen it all… but octopus carbonara? Game-changer. It’s been two days, and I’m still thinking about it. We also shared the mussel scarpariello, which was packed with flavor, and what I believe was the Ischian bruschetta—a simple yet perfect mix of tomatoes, olives, capers, and sardines. We dug in so quickly I didn’t even get to photograph it. Everything was fresh, thoughtful, and rooted in local tradition with a creative touch. The restaurant is family-run, and Antonio himself was our waiter—charming, attentive, and clearly proud of what they’ve built. You can tell the space was recently redone; both the interior and exterior are beautifully styled, blending modern polish with island soul. Even the pottery was custom and adorable—another detail that made the whole meal feel special. The only (minor) downside wasn’t even their fault: the restaurant next door had harsh fluorescent lighting that interrupted the otherwise lovely ambiance. But once the food hit the table, we barely noticed. Taverna Antonio is the kind of place you remember—not just for the food, but for the heart behind it. If you’re in Ischia, make a reservation. You’ll be lucky to get in.

I would give more than 5 stars if I could!! Very clean and delicious place to eat! The stuff are so polite and nice with babies while a lot of restaurants in Ischia don’t accept babies! Our little baby girl was so welcomed by them and we will go back to eat another dinner there before our departure! Thank you so much 🙏🙏

I visited tonight with my partner and we were very impressed with the restaurant. The staff were really friendly, welcoming and efficient service. We only went for a light dinner and to share a couple of dishes. However, the food we had was just incredible, by far the best Italian food we have ever had! Simple and delicious! Just fantastic, we hope to return during our trip to try some seafood 🦐

My wife and I had lunch at Taverna Antonio yesterday, and we were very impressed. Obviously, the location is fantastic, but the service and food were even better. Perfectly cooked fish and octopus, then one of the best tiramisu we've ever eaten! Delicious!

Fish of the day was turbot, which was prepared amazingly. We tried the melon with prosciutto and the mussel soup - also amazing. Service was great. Will come again.

What a rip-off! They pushed a langoustine as a "good option," then charged 40 euros for it. Plus, 16 euros for simple bread for four, even for my 4-year-old. This place is a money grab; just steer clear. Stay away of this place

I've been visiting Ischia for over five decades and have enjoyed countless wonderful meals along the Porto. Unfortunately, my recent visit to Ristorante Emiddio—just to the right as you arrive in Ischia Porto—was my first truly negative dining experience on the island. Although the food was "ok," the bottom line: Ristorante Emiddio was a scammy, disappointing experience. There are far better options along the port. Do yourself a favor—keep walking.

Of course if you’re eating along the bay here you expect to overpay and that’s totally okay. What is not okay is ordering a salad, having it go to the wrong table, discovering it has moldy tomatos, saying something getting not even a “sorry” then waiting ages for your food only to try and having terrible food, paying a coperto for FOUR EURO A PERSON and then an argument over said tomatos at the end. Absolutely wild stuff. I’m never reviewing on google but I HAD to write this because it was so terrible.

Horrible place! They charged us 16 euros for bread and didnt mention about the price for Langostine. They just want to rip you off!

The best eggplant parmigiana I’ve ever had in my life (coming from a vegetarian who always orders this dish everywhere). The family who owns the place is so sweet. We went for lunch and dinner (it was that good), and neither disappointed. Their house wine selection was also delicious (we tried all of them), and the atmosphere is exactly what you would wish a place like this to look like. I can’t wait to go back. Since I live in Naples, my expectations are kind of high. I made a great search to find this restaurant but the food wasn’t perfect. It was good but not perfect. To begin with, octopus carpaccio was mid, combining it with corn was weird. The squid was also mid but the pumpkin sauce was good. Gnocchi lacked salt, it was also very mid. The best thing was the gamberi I tried. The atmosphere and the environment was very good. 2 antipasti, 1 pasta, 2 secondi and 1 bottle of wine was 150 euros.

We were able to get a last minute reservation here and it could not have turned out to be a better night. Luigi, Vanessa, and Antonio were so fun and inviting. From wine recommendations to giving us some fresh grapes from the vineyard to taste, they truly made our experience a 10/10. Would highly recommend ❤️

My husband and I enjoyed our last dinner on Ischia at this lovely family owned and operated restaurant. The atmosphere, wait staff and food were all top notch. We enjoyed the Eggplant Parmigiana, the pasta was perfectly cooked and the special fried Cod with caramelized onion and ginger carrot sauce was spectacular. Their homemade Lemon cake and Chocolate Lava cake were a decadent way to end the meal.

A big surprise to us. Really good food. Maybe even the best parmigiana I ever had. Fish on point. Wines of course also since that is their main competence. We saw the kitchen crew. Very sympathetic people. Service was also top notch. She could easily handle a Guide Michelin restaurant with her presence. Very nice rural area. PS: During the last years, I saw many overrated restaurants across Italy. Restaurant where people with just a few reference points said "best food ever". Oftentimes I left these restaurants from simple Osterie to Michelin disappointed. Here, I can say that this restaurant is underrated. They want to impress.

Superb experience. Set in an idyllic small holding & vineyard. Fabulous menu, of deliciously superb cuisine. Great wines (including their own). Friendly and welcoming staff. Definitely one of the best restaurants on the island.

We came two persons for the late dinner. Antipasti MIX was amazing and cost 25€, but pasta with prawns and other with some kind of crab were tasteless :( Also the fish was offered as fillet, but came out as a full fish which cost around 70€. So i total with bottle of wine (20€), beer for my husband and some side dishes, we spent 180€. Everything would be nice and the price would be ok, if taste in all dishes would be better. In this case, price was way too high.

It could have been a full score but don’t serve me hot rosé. Even if you brought a ice bucket. You have the best tomatoes ever. Fish good. The view is great. But you are to buzzy. On the beach. Outside serving. WC. No parking. A bit upper. Good on fish.

We happened upon Delfino one night on our recent vacation. Food and service were remarkable that we went back the next night! Giuseppe, the owner, brought out the fresh fish they had caught that day. The place was so welcoming that they invited us to a family confirmation for a 3rd visit!!

Awesome. The owner waited on us. He recommended we choose a fish in the cas and he would make it 3 ways Ceviche Pasta Baked in slivers of potato Wow! So glad we went with his recommendation. Incredible lunch. Go with the flow, let the master lead you to a great meal and mangia. We also discovered a great white local wine that was a great accompaniment.

The best dining experience in my life! Amazing atmosphere, right off the harbor. The owners son plays piano and it's played throughout the restaurant. Pick your own freshly caught fish out of the case and the chef prepares it in three ways; appetizer, a first course pasta dish, and then a second course filet. OMG, it was so good. An absolute MUST if you visit this island!

Must visit. In 4 weeks in Italy, this was one of my favorite meals. The food, the atmosphere, and the service were all perfect. Still sitting on the patio as I write this, happy and full. I got their suggested menu of the day. The best choice. The service and staff were so friendly and welcoming, which sadly can't be said everywhere.

Try un attimo di vino for different experience - the head chef welcomes you into “his home” takes a fresh white fish that was caught at 7am and turns it into a 3 course meal - carpaccio/steam fish salad, a pasta and his take of fish and chips. His son came and played the piano for us and he was amazing. The chef came to introduce each course to us. Personally I think it is a bit pricey for what it is. It cost 100 euros for 2 people and you didn’t have a choice but to go with the fish of the day in 3 ways + bread with olive oil + 2 glasses of wine + bottle of water. But it is something a bit different if you like fresh fish and you want more of an experience.

The owner and staff were so friendly and wonderful. From choosing fish to choosing wine they were helpful and knowledgeable. They then prepared the fish in 3 courses - carpaccio, pasta and fillets. Each course was delicious, and wine perfectly matched. Even eating alone they made you feel very comfortable and it was really fun.

The restaurant has only a three meal course based on a selected fresh fish. The first is carpaccio, the second pasta and the third fish fillet with chips. Carpaccio and pasta are very tasty but for me the fish was a bit poor. As for the price we paid 400 euros 7 person with a bottle of wine and 4 bottles of water. So around 60 euros per person. Very expensive for the taste and the fact that we found fish scales in most of the dishes.

Lovely family run restaurant on top of a mountain only accesable on foot. No you cant bike there (yes we tried), you have to leave your bikes aprox 1 km down the path. The food and price were good but the view breathtaking.

This place was a treat. The location is truely beautiful, just underneath the top of Monte Epomeo it’s the perfect reward for your hike up the mountain. The restaurant offers stunning views and everything is made by the family running the place, from the wine and limoncello to the sausages… The hosts were very friendly! I would love to return here :)

I am from Ischia and I eat in this place since ages! Is always amazing to be here! Great atmosphere, incredible food, and a view of 360 degree of the island and the iconic Aragonese Castle! Worth the trekking if you want to be there for lunch or even better for sunset! But for an evening dinner is always better to book in advance! Definitely a MUST do experience if you are in Ischia.

We made the relatively steep 3 km walk from Fontana, which is about one hour, to reach to restaurant at the top of Monte Epomeo and its amazing panoramic views of the island. Sitting at a table on the front terrace, we had the Spaghetti Epomeo, omelette con coppa and insalata pomodori con cipolla, which were all excellent. The owner guided us to another extraordinary view through the back of the restaurant and was kind to share the story of his grandfather travelling up the mountain by donkey and carving out the rock face, where the family-owned restaurant sits today.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a local on the bus to Monte Epomeo, and the bruschetta specifically. She was 100% correct in saying the bruschetta was delicious! The view was phenomenal, I stopped in to eat after taking photos at the peak. Many tables were "reserved" on the terrace but I still managed to find a table with a great view. The bruschetta and freshly squeezed OJ were both delicious. Would recommend!

The food was so good and the view amazing (although it was a little bit cloudy). Unfortunately we won't remember these positive things: There was a beagle, who doesn't belong to this restaurant and he looked very sick, he kept harassing our dog (jumping on him, licking him) and we couldn't keep him away. As we were concerned about our dogs health, we were glad, that at some point the owners of he restaurant lead him away. But apparently this dog comes there every day looking for food. We wouldn't go back while having a dog with us.

We had a wonderful lunch at Ristorante La Grotta da Fiore. The food was incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and the portions were generous. Every dish was delicious, and we especially appreciated the explanation about the rabbit and how it was prepared—it’s clear they take real pride in their cooking. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The waiters and owners were genuinely friendly and attentive. You can tell they truly care about the service—they don’t just bring food to the table, they make sure you enjoy the full experience. To top it all off, they surprised us with a big bag of fresh basil and some chillis to take home! 🤩 Such a thoughtful gesture. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic food, kind people, and a memorable dining experience.

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with this restaurant. The food was not cooked as expected, the beef was not cooked as requested and the pork was not cooked as well, was pink inside. The potatoes were also not tasty, not fresh but frozen. We waited a lot for the food.

Don't be scared away by the recent reviews about rips-offs. I just went today and the "coperto" (cover charge) was just 3 Euro/person (pretty standard). If you're at all worried, just go and ask before you sit down. The menu was not in english but there were two waiters that spoke english and they were very helpful getting us to find something great. The view is amazing. Go just for the view. Glad we arrived RIGHT at 12:30 when it opened for lunch as the parking lot is small and we were able to park, get seated, and place our order all before the place became filled with locals.

La Rosa dei Venti is never a disappointment. It's definitely the best pizza on the island of Ischia. The dough is soft and thin and it doesn't leave you with the sense of being too full. The toppings are abundant and original. I visit every time I am on the island.

Ristorante Bellezza is a lovely family-run restaurant. We felt like we were invited to a family dinner – very warm and welcoming. The food was incredibly tasty, and we enjoyed it while watching a stunning sunset. We would recommend this place to everyone visiting Ischia!!!!

If you’re not careful, you will walk by Ristorante da Bellezza without noticing, and miss an outstanding meal. Operated by Nuncia and her family, she does all of the cooking. The best bruschetta I have had and my Italian friends who ate with me agree. Ripe, firm, vibrant red tomatoes mixed with the right amount of garlic, olive oil, and basil grown on the premises. Homemade bread with just enough of the bruschetta seasoning soaked in. Eggplant simple yet perfectly balanced flavors and oils you will want to soak your bread in. We had the seafood of the day. Molto bene! Fresh caught, light breading, a touch of salt. Moist when called for, crunchy when appropriate. It was unassuming but applause the most authentic meal we had while staying in Ischia.

Food was amazing! We ordered 3 portions of the Spaghetti Frutti di Mare and a spaghetti Puttenesca. They give you complimentary bruschetta which was so simple and delicious. All the seafood was super fresh and pasta cooked perfectly. The woman who runs the place has a very friendly energy and makes you feel very welcome in the restaurant. Her mother does the cooking so the experience is very authentic! Reasonable prices for the quality and portion of the food too. Not to be missed and ofcourse there is an incredible view from the outside terrace to enjoy while you eat. Will definitely return during our stay in Ischia!

Very tasty food and friendly stuff. The atmosphere is perfect for a nice dinner, will definitely come back. Also good to mention that here you will pay 10% tip from your bill unlike other restaurants that have a fixed tip (2-4€) per person.

Honestly it could be much better. Portions were small, service not at the top as well. Pasta with crevettes with only 3 shrimps, pasta vongole was empty. Thats shame for an italian seafood restaurant. Also the waiters had some attitude towards us since we have entered the place. Maybe it was personal but dommage!

we had the pleasure of dining at this Michelin-starred restaurant last night, and we were absolutely blown away. The food was incredible, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was simply magical. The restaurant is located in a small, romantic setting with only 4 tables. The garden is absolutely stunning, with beautiful flowers and plants, and a stunning view of the city. The food is innovative while still portraying traditional Italian cuisine, with a focus on using fresh, seasonal ingredients. The dishes are beautifully presented, and the flavors are simply incredible. We had the tasting menu, and loved every single course.

What can I say? The drive to this restaurant felt like Frodo and Sam’s trek to Mordor—except our quest was for some truly fancy POH-TAH-TOES. And yes, it was absolutely worth it. If you’ve done your homework, you already know this place deserves its 2 stars. If you’re on the fence, don’t be—it’s the real deal. No food pics here; they wouldn’t do it justice. You’ll just have to experience it for yourself.

I don’t think that words could do justice to our experience - and it was an experience, not just a meal - at Dani Maison. From the second we walked in, we were immersed in the most stunning setting. Every element of the night was perfection. It’s a night we’ll never forget!!

We and ALL the diners around us had to ask for the waiters' attention several times. The boss/manager/owner was chatting with his italian diner friends instead of helping his own staff. The food is extremely ordinary: The service fee IS NOT WORTH €7! Finally, the table we were assigned was dirty, it even had an empty bottle of wine with a chiller next to me that was NEVER removed during our entire service. The hostess who charged us, in a bad mood… This “restaurant” is the typical tourist trap, NOT RECOMMENDED.

I never expect great things from a tourist restaurant, and this one was no exception. Apart from the beautiful location, there's not much to save: the appetizer with peppered mussels and cold cuts was decent. The pasta with porcini mushrooms, on the other hand, is forgettable – watery, bland, and flavorless. The ribeye was good (difficult to mess up), although they didn't inquire about my preferred level of doneness (luckily, it arrived rare, as I prefer, but not everyone likes it that way), but it was accompanied by a meager serving of "vegetables" (essentially half a grilled zucchini). The bill was in line with the prices in the area, but beware: there was an error, albeit a minor one – I was charged for an extra bottle of water, so make sure to carefully check the bill. Very slow service.

Good food (except the salad as another reviewer has already said) but CAUTION when ordering as we ended up two unnecessary and not very good 8 euro salads because the waiter asked "chips or salad with that?" as if an included choice. They wouldn't remove it, so I won't go there again. Anyway, I felt this was disingenuous as we could have ordered anything from the contorni (side dishes) if we had wanted. This is a cheap tactic from an otherwise decent and relatively expensive place. Also,, don't like the fact that the colourful plates that dress the table are recycled countless times without being washed. And everyone touches them and some look a little grubby on close inspection but sometimes you are expected to eat off them.......

Overpriced for what it is. We had an aubergine pasta, carbonara pasta and a Bresaola salad. The two pastas were okay, none of us finished them. The salad in the other hand was delicious, but ruining a salad is difficult. We also had regular 3 beers and paid 75 euros. The service was good and friendly.

We didn't like the salad with tuna 12eur. Steak was not good, lot of rat for 24eur. Wine was ordinary for 6.5eur per glass. We left the food, waiter didn' t care if customers are satisfied. Manager was aggressive, German speaking Asian guy. He however suggested us another salad or desert instead. We didn't want anything more, he forced us to pay or to go to police. We left the place hungry, nervous and unsatisfied. Never going there again.

Went to La Pace early July 2024 and was amazing. Surreal feeling that you can only get there by boat and arrive to a fabulous atmosphere with a deserted island vibe. Your boat anchors and the restaurant’s taxi boat takes you to the dock. So fun! Food was amazing. Lots of incredibly fresh seafood, delicious pastas and great dessert. Prices were reasonable. Our best day of the trip was a boat charter with stop here for lunch. Run don’t walk!

We went on a Sunday with the Boat to this wonderful restaurant. They come to pick you up with a little small boat to bring you a shore. We enjoyed the food immensely I had tomatoe bruschetta and barbecued chicken. The chicken was from a good farm. My wife had the fried fish. We took a green salad and we shared a baba. We had the rosé wine and a bottle of water. €130. I honestly did not want to leave the view was mesmerising and the service was very kind and quick even though this was Sunday the busiest day of the week. Thank you very much. This is a big improvement from last year only less point your toilet must be improved.

Beautiful stop on a boat trip. Was recommended by our skipper that we stop here for lunch. Only accessible by boat. Service was great, food was delicious and portions were generous. A highlight of our trip.

Great small family eatery. You can reach this place only by the boat. Freshest ingredients, simple yummy dishes. I think they just picked the veggies for our salad from their garden.

Your options are bruschetta or a meat/cheese plate. They have beer and wine, and ostensibly limoncello. It will likely be the best meal of your life, after the climb to the top and back (it doesn't seem like much, 800 meters) but Epomeo takes it out of you.

We ordered two birthday cakes 5 days before and the ladies were super helpful through whatsapp but mind you, ask for the whatsapp business number. The cakes were perfect, as the model shown and very tasteful . Thank you very much!!!

This qualifies as the "out of the way eatery" that's worth the trip. Kinda hard to get to. Follow the signs and drive slowly. Their speciality (in my opinion) are the "semifreddi" pastries. There are many varieties of chocolate, lemon and pistachio among others. It's worth the trip.

It was tricky to contact them at the beginning because of the contact links in the web, but they were super nice and helpful when I messaged over WhatsApp. Unfortunately, I had to cancel before I could order, for personal reasons, but their cakes look great and they quoted me a very fair price, so I'll definitely be keeping them in mind in the future!

Such a beautiful park! My husband, 1.5 year old son, and I visited for the day. Kids aren’t allowed in the thermal park so we stayed by the kids pools and switched off enjoying the spas. Such a relaxing experience at a great value. We got lunch at the cafe as well. The pool areas were clean and spacious and everyone there was respectful. One of the highlights of our trip.

My boyfriend then said to me that she noticed that after making the first cup of juice they took another cup and added half of the juice in the second cup and mixed both with tap water to make two juices with one…. Then we didn’t want to complain about it but decided to stop to a side area always belonging to the Bar Calise and have our breakfast there. There was no one there, not even one from the bar personnel to speak to. So we just seated. After less than 5 minutes a guy came to us and warned us about the extra coast for the service on table, with a very unwelcoming attitude. We then replied that we payed for two orange juices but had only one in fact. We were very upset about the treatment we had. The two points of our review are only for the croissants which were doubtless amazing.

Tuna tataki is of decent size (pictured), very good taste, but with a near absent caponata. Excellent atmosphere if you sit at the edge of the terrace (otherwise not much).

Amazing place, great service, sadly the most important part for us was the food and it was not good enough! We had a seafood platter which cost 36€. On this platter we had 1 oyster, 1 prawn, a tuna tartare with no taste or seasoning, some mango droplets on the plate that could've just been beige coloured water drops, a tasty carpaccio and fish bathing in olive oil. The presentation was quite beautiful, but for 36€, you'd hope to eat something which fills you up and tastes great! The service was truly great though and the wine was well recommended! Also, the oyster was clearly not alive as it didn't react to touch or acidity!

Extremely slow service, so beware. Amazing views, great ambience but high prices. They made us wait legit 20 minutes before they came to take our order. We got their tuna tartare and it was delicious, definitely smaller than usual portion tho. Cod confit was yummy, however, involtino, which is the fried fish, was disappointing. There is even live music after 9:00 pm which was cool. Overall good experience.

A birthday I will never forget. Being from London, I assumed that I simply did not like seafood. As it happens, I have never had true seafood in my life until I came here. What a special restaurant. An absolutely stunning view of the sunset over the oceans and two edges of the island, beautiful decorations in the restaurant and incredibly friendly staff who all spoke perfect english. The food was absoultely stunning and they even did a special birthday message for me. Getting to and from the restaurant is also very easy, with a huge parking lot nearby for about €2 an hour, followed by a beautiful walk along the mountain with shops and cafes around. I doubt I will ever go to a restaurant as beautiful as this for the rest of my life, certainly a once in a lifetime experience! Worth every penny. Do not miss out!

Beautiful view, set in the cliff, lovely food and very friendly staff! I had the steak tartar which was great and the fish “confit” which which just delicious, unique and beautiful, I highly recommend it! I also had some oysters which were lovely but were €7 each (French , Italian and sustainable, always comes at a price) I didn’t have a reservation but went at 7.30 and was able to get a table. I think it’s the best time to go because you get to watch the sunset. Thank you!!!

I loved discovering the outdoor cabana beds charming benches tucked into quiet corners and even swings where you can just sit and breathe. It's like having your own secret Garden with multiple spots to find your perfect moment of Zen. The staff were incredibly accommodating and hospitable throughout my stay. They really made me feel welcomed and cared for. The food was another highlight, the nuance of flavours and artistry in each dish was remarkable. The 3 day a week Yoga sessions with Luisa were absolutely fantastic too. The live music was also top notch - an unexpected welcomed addition to my experience. The proximity to the thermal baths was the perfect bonus, making it so convenient to enjoy the full wellness experience without hassle. If your looking for a high quality place to truly replenish your vitality and find some peace, Botania Relais and Spa is absolutely ideal. I will definitely be back.

Best hotel in all of Ischia! We absolutely loved our stay here. My husband and I stayed for a week in May as we were in need of a very relaxing vacation. This review is long overdue, but I must share what an absolute treat it was to have our wedding reception dinner and aperitivo here at La Lampara in July 2023. The dinner created by Chef Ciro Calise was so delicious and stunningly beautiful. We had five courses and each course was a work of art. Many guests - all passionate "foodies" said this was the best food they've ever had. We want to thank Anna and her team for organizing the most beautiful and memorable wedding evening for us. We had been looking forward to the dinner at La Lampara for over a year and wow did it deliver!! It surpassed our expectations in every way. The views were breathtaking and the entire evening was just magical. And I want to call out a special thanks to Chef Ciro and his team for accommodating our guests' special dietary restrictions. One of my friends can't eat egg, dairy or gluten and Chef Ciro not only accommodated her for each dinner course, but made her a special plate of appetizers just for her at the aperitivo hour. It made her so happy she was practically brought to tears. Thank you to everyone at La Lampara for being so wonderful to work with and for giving us the wedding dinner and evening of our dreams.

We usually have a rule about avoiding hotel restaurants, however La Lampara is an exception. We had a long lunch here with friends and a young baby. This is an elegant venue with an upscale menu. The service was extraordinary and the food was considered and well presented. The stunning view is the cherry on top. We really enjoyed talking to our waiter who was incredibly knowledgeable about Italian wines. The on-the-house amuse bouches were heavenly and interesting. We also greatly enjoyed our other dishes. Well done to the chef! We highly recommend a dinner or lunch here if you consider yourself a foodie!

This was one of very few places open for lunch on a weekday in the off-season. We came dressed in our touristing clothes since we were hiking up to the castle, and I was a bit worried we were underdressed for the restaurant. However, the staff was kind and not judgemental. They even brought us a complimentary shrimp and calamari carpaccio appetizer. I had the risotto al limone, and my husband had a fried calamari and shrimp dish. We were pleasantly surprised with the large portions - being such a fancy restaurant we expected the portions to be tiny! The food was delicious! Visited this restaurant for lunch whilst at San Montano beach and what a great surprise! Everything was excellent, from the first approach of the service staff, to the quality of the meal, I cannot fault it. My husband had the seafood risotto which was plentiful and so delicious and I enjoyed the candele ragu with three types of meat in a tomato onion sauce which was excellent! Excellent value for money, not only for the quality of the food but also for the service by Gian Luigi and location. Highly recommend when visiting the area!

Great lunch at the hot springs! Staff was attentive and polite. Food was great! Had the risotto and crispy rice with Tuna. Luckily they had heaters since it was very rainy and chilly!

Most incredible mussels I have ever had. Packed with lemon, capers, garlic, white wine, and thyme - with big crispy crouton soaking up the sauce at the bottom. Give the salted fish a miss (over cooked). The lemon cream pasta is delightful.

Food was good, just a little something missing. Not that great value for money. Still very good for a restaurant in a park :) Tequila Sunrise was bomb 🍹

We were lucky and it was not crowded, the service was excellent (multilingual waiters with a sense of humour, timing, and professionalism), the food was delicious, the drinks were generously poured, and of course the views were amazing.

I ordered the truffle risotto but was served what felt more like rice with milk and onions—there wasn’t even a hint of truffle or any of the flavours you'd expect based on menu description. We ended up just filling our stomachs with something pretty tasteless. That said, the staff were fantastic, and the location and atmosphere were really lovely. Friendly turist trap. Expensive. I will definitely avoid this place for the future.

The personnel are very nice and the food is great with a wonderful view of the sea. The service is very good and this restaurant is a must try, it was the best restaurant we have been to on our trip.

Good decoration, nice vibe, but the experience of being tricked & fooled was awfully unpleasant. The waited offered us to grill a full tail of red snapper without advising the price and ignored our question. We the check came, It carries an expensive tag of 97 Euro 😒 !

Beautiful restaurant for lunch. Spectacular waterfront view of the castle 🏰 and the port. Staff were very friendly and Professional 👌🏼 Luigi, Adriano and Simona were very helpful and very passionate, They offered us Limoncello at the end, which was the best we ever had. Highly Recommended!

Edit 6/17/18: Wonderful experience again. One of the best places to sit on a beautiful evening directly next to the see with the sun setting on the Aragonese Castle in full view. Delicious gnocchi con zucchine e gamberi (Gnocchi with zucchini sauce and shrimp) and very fresh. They let you know on the menu that your meals are cooked to order so this is not a place for a quick bite! /// This is homemade Italian food made by family members in the kitchen. It’s fresh and delicious. I ate here multiple times while I was exploring Ischia and the service was gracious each time. I was able to request that they prepare me the ragù of rabbit that is typical of Ischia and With a day or two request they had prepared it for me and it was superb. The seating and views are spectacular, especially near sunset. The fried anchovies (alici) were crisp, white, and fresh.

We had a really excellent evening here. We were brought sparkling wine on arrival due to having to wait 5 or less minutes for a table, which of course we were happy to wait. The servers were all very friendly and the food was excellent. We had a really good aubergine tomato dish and fried fish to start. The pasta was excellent, especially the swordfish dish. Good wine and tiramisu too. All in all a really great evening with very hospitable and welcoming staff.

Absolutely delicious food!! Service was amazing - I didn’t feel like fish today so I asked for non fish/ sea food pasta and was offered a variety of options. I chose the carbonara and it was delicious!! My boyfriend was blown away by his pasta with sword fish. Amazing experience with beautiful view 💕

I’ve been coming to Ischia with my daughter for the past six years, and this remains our favourite restaurant. Really good food, decently priced (both of which, unfortunately, becoming rarer in Ischia Ponte) and super friendly staff. Was sorry it was closed today as wanted to return and leave a big tip. We leave the island tomorrow but will pay another visit next time we’re back.

Fantastic meal. The service and home style feel was evident from the second we sat down. The seafood is incredibly fresh and the prices are super reasonable. I would recommend this to all.

Probably one of the best restaurants of the area, we got some drinks to make us wait and some limoncello offered at the end, food was great, one of the best tiramisu I ever had (and had a lot!) Et le patron parle francais!

We absolutely loved this place. Right at the harbour and in a pretty area. The food was absolutely perfect. We had a pizza and a pasta, and every dish we saw arrinving on the tables around us looked amazing. We loved the waiters and they were charming took very good care of ever person in the restaurant, and made sure to give a person experience.

Only one word - perfect. First you will be welcomed with cup of prosecco. The staf is so pretty, helpful and friendly. You are like at home. I haven't eaten more fresh and tasty mix of fish. Salad we ordered was fresh and tasty too. At the end my wife try ice cream and once again - top one. Atmosphere is wonderful. Highly recommend to be visited.

We came here for lunch and had the fresh sea bass, the owner brought both fishes to the table to choose and suggested on the wine to accompany the meal. We returned for an evening meal in which it was super busy but the staff still made you feel special. Great spot and one of the best restraunts on the port

While the main courses were passable, the sweets simply did not meet expectations at all. They tasted poorly prepared and were far below the quality you would hope for in a restaurant. I would honestly recommend avoiding the dessert menu entirely, as it does not add to the experience and may leave you ending the meal on a negative note. Overall, I would give this restaurant 3 stars. It’s not a bad choice if you are nearby and want a decent meal in a pleasant setting, but I would suggest skipping dessert and perhaps exploring other restaurants on the island if you’re looking for something memorable.

Fantastic - the staff where I was staying on the island recommended I visit, and I was greeted by the kind and good humoured Pietro. He (and all the staff) were friendly and helpful. Most importantly, the food was exceptional and reasonable value for money. The pudding - the croscatina - was as good as else I ate during my stay. I'd go back just to eat it again.

I rarely choose to eat on the main strip of destinations, however having caught a glimpse of the level of food being served I was curious. My curiosity was more than rewarded. Portobello is a proper, family run restaurant serving the kind of food that you remember for a long time. I’ve enjoyed a lot of pasta in my life, in-fact in my career I work across the premium food industry. That’s why I wasn’t expecting Portobello’s Mazara spaghetti dish to be possibly the best pasta dish I’ve ever eaten. Sweet Mazara red prawn meat, a silky tomato bisque, perfectly cooked pasta, the whole dish was balanced, moreish and unique. In my opinion this dish would shine in any restaurant in the world. All of the other dishes followed a similar level, with a smooth carbonara with good quality smoked pancetta shining through, moreish grilled breads, good wine and very fresh squid.

One of the best restaurants I have been to in the world. The staff was soooofriendly amd accommodating.. I told Gabriel that I only have 45 to 50 mins and he brought my food so fast, it was fresh and tasty. I even requested for the bolognese to be pork free and he accommodated that too. Other staff were super friendly and caring too. The decor was amazing, views were breathtaking 😍 The food was out of this world. Soooosoooo soooo tasty. Dessert was great too. Absolutely amazing experience ❤️

Before our ferry back to Sorrento, we decided to stop here and eat. It had great views and service! I wish i asked the woman for our name but regardless BOTH women who waited on us were awesome. The food was good.

We've been to this wonderful restaurant on the port of Ischia three times, each time trying different dishes. Portobello stands out from the others in terms of quality and quantity! The carbonara was excellent, and the seared tuna in a pistachio crust was delicious. One of my favorite things was the gnocchi, truly sublime. They also have my favorite wine, Amarone... delicious...

We just ate here for dinner! The staff were amazing! So so friendly, warm, welcoming & attentive no matter how busy they got. The food was delicious & portion size was large for the price! Amazing view right beside the water!

We went there as a couple after a busy day in Procida and arriving by ferry to Ischia. We were tired but the friendly staff quickly made our day better. They are welcoming and very friendly, asking how you feel about the food, smiling. It is just a very nice, relaxed atmosphere. The food is, of course, very tasty. Do not hesistate, this is a really nice place.

The food came really quickly, we really enjoyed it. The restrooms were really clean too. Overall the best experience we had in Inschia-we tried quite a few restaurants-, would definitely dine here again.

We were there tonight , they accepted us even though we didn't have a reservation , I found it nice from them. Then we ordered the food , the fish was clearly from the refrigerator and was smelling suspicious for the main menu. They made us pay for 1200gr of fish even though we didn't even have 200gr on the plate . See the picture The main dish had some potatoes and that's all. The Ambiente was nice with live music. With all respect , the place is overrated and I'm really disappointed about the food .

The terrace has a wonderful view of the harbour and surrounding scenery, a great place to dine while the sun sets. Enjoyed the mixed fish grill, tender tuna and tasty squid. The octopus was overdone for my taste and the toasted bread with oil was also verging on burnt. Welcoming to kids, friendly service and nice wine.

Outstanding seafood and views of the bay in Ischia. Try the Finta Zuppa. Delightful owner and waiters. Could not be more beautiful, enjoyable and relaxing. Pass all the others by and look up for the terazzo.

The food here was incredible and the setting is beautiful, especially compared to many of the restaurants nearby. The terrace offers great views of the port and the plants and flowers really make it a special setting. This was my favorite restaurant on Ischia.

Beautiful place in Ischia Porto, close to the sea. We had dinner with a nice view on the sunset over the harbour. Sea dishes are superb, as well as pasta. Booking suggested.

Extremely horrible service!!! We came in and saw a nice empty seating area, nicely asked the staffs (two ladies) whether they were available. But they answered me rudely with a no. Totally understood that and took the other available table. However the staffs that served us still did not show a friendly attitude and far away from being hospitable. We decided to walk out (we still paid water bottle that we have opened). Best decision ever. Watch out of coming here if you wish to get a nice experience in Ischia. Many other restaurants around offer top notch service.

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and weren't disappointed. The other restaurants are by the harbour side, but this one is up some steps, which means you get a lovely view of the harbour. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful when choosing things from the menu. The food itself was delicious sea food and wasn't too pricey. Highly recommended it if you like good food, good wine and a great view of the harbour!

This place is really good if you want to dine literally on the beach, so for the atmosphere, this is a definite 5⭐️ especially when not too busy. As to the food, I felt this was good, but just average good, which needs to be considered in the frame that, in general, the standards of the cuisine is very high in this part of Italy. Great wines.

Bagno Tre Stelle is a true gem by the sea. The seafood pasta I had here was the best I’ve tasted in Europe – fresh, perfectly balanced, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is relaxed and authentic, and the service made the experience even better. A special thanks to Phillipo, the manager, who was very polite and welcoming. I would definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Amazing food and service! We ate here every day in Ischia, and Ilario and Filippo are great hosts. We ate pasta, bongole, bruschetta, and a lot of other things, but the best has to be the rabbit which is famous here in Ischia. The cheese cake was really good as well, unlike anywhere else. It is a perfect spot on the beach where you can watch the sunset while drinking really good local wine. 10/10 experience, we would come back again. Many love from Serbia

Found this place with high ratings and drive on scooter from Forio. Do not miss this place! Dreamy beach location, five star food, gnocchi florrentina, peppered mussels and lemon sorbet was incredible… the perfect spot for lunch! Highly recommend!
