La Vigna Di Alberto is a renowned restaurant in Barano d'Ischia, known for its farm-to-table experience and stunning views. Situated high above Lacco Ameno, the restaurant boasts its own vineyards and vegetable gardens, reflecting Chef Alberto Iacono's dedication to organic farming and sustainable cuisine. Guests can indulge in a variety of dishes, from handmade pastas to grilled meats and seasonal vegetables, all prepared with fresh ingredients.
Went jul24. don’t take online, WhatsApp or email booking - by phone only. Don’t speak English, so booking is hard for some of us. Restaurant not sign posted, just a door bell. There is a car park but it only takes cash and Italian only instructions . An Italian friend booked over the phone for us, but when we got there, there was no sign of our booking. Kindly they managed to squeeze us in. This is an extremely local , old school restaurant- one of only a handful on the island . They produce their own red wine, but I’m afraid it wasn’t to my taste. We were served the mixed starters before sitting down and before being shown any menu. The starters consisted of four or five mixed courses including mussels and tomato sauce, pizza, bread and mozzarella with tomatoes. we were presented a menu for the main course and I ordered pasta with a fillet steak. However a sirloin steak arrived which was a lower price point on the menu, however they still charged the price of the fillet steak. Steak was under-seasoned - tried asking for salt and pepper a few times but it didn’t arrive, so steak went uneaten. In summary a fantastically beautiful and local restaurant though quite challenging for non-Italian speakers.

WOW. We had a great experience here. This was something different. This was BY FAR our favorite spot on our trip to Ischia! We had accidentally found this restaurant, thanks to google maps, reading the positive reviews and have tried to see the „old Italien school“ restaurant. Entrance is a little difficult to find, one must ring at to enter. Accidentally, we got a table without reservation and so many great things to say! The food was absolutely delicious and so very fresh. The staff were so kind and welcoming. We loved the atmosphere with live music and overall location. Stunning view from above we had. Highly recommended.
Nathalie K — Google review
The food was excellent! The mushroom risotto was the best dish we have had in our vacation. The music and vibes were amazing. We really enjoyed our dinner there. They got us three appetizers, and we got to choose the main dishes and the dessert from a set menu. If you want to try authentic italian dishes, this is the place that you should visit!
Haneen B — Google review
An authentic experience. Any tourist who doesn't understand that old school Italian authenticity should probably stay away. No compromises here. They do what they do and do it well.
Steve D — Google review
Mystic place with wonderful atmosphere, delicious food and kind service. Local food, bus stop is in front of the restaurant.
Desislava S — Google review
A great experience with amazing food and friendly staff. A true hidden gem. Worth the drive up the hill. Keep an eye out for the gate though, there is a big car park opposite.
Oscar S — Google review
Food was amazing, the atmosphere is also mesmerizing. However the staff could be a bit more smiling and welcoming. Personally for me it felt a bit awkward. The wine that they produce tastes amazing! It is written online that they take card, but when you go there the first think they say is that they take only cash! You also don’t get a lot of food for the money! Dishes are not kid friendly, since they are chilli/peppery. Overall ok experience, concerning taste and location, but I would not go there again.
Dima G — Google review
The restaurant is situated at a very nice and different location with views from the island's mountains. The menu is fixed with a limited amount of choices, but is designed in order to have them all work together extremely well. All of the dishes we got to try were very good and all of the portion sizes were abundant. We received various appetizers, some bottles of water, pasta, risotto, meat, sausages, and three different desserts and ended up paying a stunning low bill of 60€ for 2 people. The staff was very friendly and service was extremely fast and efficient.

Pizza restaurant
Ristorante Pizzeria la Bella Napoli al Porto has a rich history, with its roots tracing back to the opening of the first La Bella Napoli by Chef Serafino in Monterone in December 1980. The restaurant quickly gained popularity for its delicious cuisine and mouthwatering pizzas. After 30 years, Ciro and his friend Leopoldo revived the renowned name by opening Ristorante Pizzeria la Bella Napoli al Porto.
As if these guys needed my praises: the whole gang is so pleasant and relaxed, attentive and helpful, and despite its prime tourist venue location it offers an extremely good value for money. It’s not cheap if you go beyond pizzas and such but every euro extra is worth it. The food is of the highest standard, creative and traditional at once, the house tagliatelle with porcini and squid floored me and the pistachio ricotta biscuit cup was the coup de grace that rolled me over to the Spiaggia di Chiaia like a contented pussycat after 💝
Christopher P — Google review
Will not even exaggerate saying it's in the current top-3 of my favourite restaurants. I visited it at the end of March, right after the opening. Been the only visitor, warmly met by staff and had absolutely wonderful and chill time. Tried a delicate tasting seafood pasta with a nice local wine, complimented by delicious bread. Great experience and my absolute recommendation

Good pizza. Delicious plates. Grilled vegetables and eggplant parmigiana were delicious. Beautifully located right in front of the port of Forio.

Wasn’t expecting anything but it was perfect, 5 out of 5! Table was given in seconds, food was served in less than 5 min, and the pizza was soooo good! Also rabbit was great. Prices are ok, too! Definitely recommended!

Booked ahead to have a lunch & 2 seats for a swim & lounge - did not disappoint! Food was amazing, fresh produce. We got the specials & 2 mains - everything was delicious. Service was great & everything was perfect. To top it off - turns out that they had already reserved our seats at the island, which was the best spot! ❤️ Thanks so much for an amazing day.

2 days in a row! And definitely coming back. Giorgio provided the best service ever. He was super sweet, fun and very professional. My favourite waiter in Italy! 💕 Such a beautiful place with the nicest staff. Mauro and Tatiana were friendly and so welcoming.
Marisa D — Google review
We had a phenomenal dining experience here. On a night where the seas were rough - we by chance got blessed to dine with the place to ourselves. From the wine, to the food, to the service, we couldn’t thank the team enough. This has been our best evening in Ischia! A gardenia between two thorns..
Angie D — Google review
We just went there to have aperitivo. The place location is perfect. The view is looking to napoli procida. I love the view. The drinks were good too. But aperitivo variety was very limited. They could have added a few more different things. There is a parking lot above the venue. The staff was kind and helpful. We paid 21 euros for 2 drinks.
Betül Y — Google review
The servers in the restaurant were a little pretentious. One of them was friendly, the others were not. They brought me the wrong entree and i said “that’s not what i ordered” and this pushy/grumpy server said “it’s good, you will like it” instead of sorry??? Bc it took so long i went along w it. Food was fresh and good, we still had fun. It wasn’t transparent they automatically charge you per person for the beach club on our lunch bill. We didn’t want 5 chairs, only 2 but they tried to charge us 100€. …they need share that info upfront. I’m ok w spending more but i think better service is expected at these prices.
MM S — Google review
I can only give this beach club 5 stars! It was exceptional. It is truly the most magical garden by the sea and if I could I would have spent every day here. Absolutely worth a visit. Great location, fantastic value for money, lovely staff who managed to accommodate us without a reservation. Great food and service (by Marco). This was not an obnoxious type beach club - it had a great vibe and was relaxing.
Melissa R — Google review
Dream Stay! Incredible service from Mauro:From the moment we arrived, he took care of ordering a taxi for us. He made sure to introduce us to Ischia and all the must-see spots. Throughout our stay, he helped us organize our trips, even going so far as to fetch croissants for us from town in the morning. The location is idyllic; we felt perfectly isolated from the more touristy center of Ischia. The food was delicious.
Élizabeth G — Google review
I stayed at an airbnb on the property and can say these are some of the kindest and caring people you will meet!! I stepped on a sea urchin my last day here and not only did they offer helpful remedies for the sting, they also regularly came by our patio to check on me for the next several hours. I can't comment on the food (great coffee and apertivo though) as we didn't get a chance to have a meal there but they could not have been kinder!!! The water and beach club are absolutely stunning. 10/10 place and 100/100 people!

Ristorante Pizzeria La Tinaia is a delightful culinary gem that offers a diverse menu featuring pizzas, meat and fish dishes, as well as tempting crepes and ice cream. This charming venue welcomes guests all day long, making it an ideal spot for any meal. You can savor traditional options like the classic bruschetta or indulge in vegan-friendly sides such as fried potatoes and zucchini. The pasta selections are equally enticing, with spaghetti topped with rich tomato sauce being a standout choice.
Super delicious and such a nice atmosphere! I had the best seafood risotto I’ve ever tried here. The service was excellent as well. Sitting outside was very pleasant, the temperature was just right. Overall, a wonderful experience.
Selina W — Google review
This is the busiest place in town. Italians usually eat late but to get in they are going early, the place is packed by 8pm. They take your name and you can wait outside, looked like a 30-40 min wait. They do takeaway pizzas & you don’t have to wait as long, they discount the by €2 so 2pizzas cost us €11… bargin and best pizza I’ve had (though I’m not a lover of pizza) these were not soggy, dough light & toppings tasty. The rest of the menu sounded great, the only place that did risotto but I didn’t want to wait that long. They don’t take reservations just just come & see
Tina H — Google review
We really enjoyed our first visit, so we came back just a couple of days later! It does get crowded, but the service remains professional and efficient, so the wait time is very reasonable. The food is tasty, and the prices are truly some of the best in the area. Highly recommend!
Milena M — Google review
We had a wonderful evening here the other night and loved it so much we went back again tonight. We enjoyed the bruschetta, grilled fish, fresh limone pasta, tomato salad and gelato to finish it off. The servers are friendly and patient with our attempts to order in Italian. The food is amazing and at just the right price. Grazie La Tinaia - we will be back!

Delicious food, amazing prices, and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. The lemon spaghetti is absolutely sensational — a must-try! I definitely plan to come back.

A wonderful restaurant in the heart of Forio. Pizza and eggplant parmigiana were absolutely delicious and the lambrusco wine was fabulous. Great service and nice atmosphere. We are looking forward to going back on our next visit to Forio.

A very lovely restaurant with a beautiful inner garden. I almost always order melanzane alla parmigiana — and here they were absolutely the best!! 🩷 The Ischian-style rabbit was excellent too. Great atmosphere and really nice staff. 🌿🍆🍷

Situated in the charming village of Ischia Ponte, Ristorante Aglio olio & Pomodoro is a delightful fish eatery known for its classic recipes and fresh catch-of-the-day dishes. This chic yet traditional restaurant is located at the edge of Ischia Ponte, where notable films like 'Brilliant Friend' have been filmed.
We stopped in for lunch just as the rain started coming down, and we were greeted by the owner, Dorian. (Yes just like Dorian Grey)! We settled in for a nice lunch, sharing some patatas bravas and steak tartare followed by a traditional Neapolitan cucine povere dish, egg cooked in tomato sauce. It was delicious, reportedly just like his Nonna made! Then we had gnocchi with pumpkin sauce and spaghetti with anchovies. All very tasty and an enjoyable diversion from the rain. And yes, Dorian looked younger when we left, see him and his cook in the photos!

This place is definitely a gem. It’s also very cooly decorated on the inside, but the terrace is a lovely place to sit for lunch. The staff were so kind! Everything tasted great and it was reasonably priced. I would come back!
Anne N — Google review
First place we had food in Ischia, and a place we have returned to multiple times since. As I mention in other reviews, I'd take or leave seafood. This "menu d'Terra" here is simple but brilliant. I could have their sorrentina for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their Aglio e olio is subtle and delicious. The restaurant was quiet this time of year when we visited, but it's off season. I know this place is in the middle of a great corner of the island , so atmosphere is normally great around here.
Conor C — Google review
A restaurant with a great atmosphere and very pleasant and fast service. My wife and I ordered the grilled calamari and the meal was one big taste buds concert. The prices fully correspond to the quality of the food served. I can only recommend the restaurant.

We visited this establishment with my mom on our trip, not knowing anything about this place, but we were captured by the cozy atmosphere. We were looking only for a light lunch, since the temperatures were high. Food was amazing, drinks too, ingredients are high quality, the staff was kind and helpful, and very accomodating. Prices comparable with other similiar restaurants in this area. We highly recommend this place.

Nestled in the charming village of Sant'Angelo d'Ischia, Da Pasquale Pizzeria Ristorante is a hidden gem that beckons pizza lovers to venture off the beaten path. Tucked away among winding streets and steps leading from the beach, this quaint eatery may be easy to overlook, but it’s well worth seeking out for its mouthwatering pizzas.
Wonderful! Someone recommend this restaurant as an authentic and well priced option, we were extremely pleased! Delicious food and nice atmosphere. Fresh quality ingredients with good service. We had a nice wood fireplace pizza, stuffed pepper and vine ripened tomatoe salad with olive oil and balsamic. Highly recommended 👌

We loved this place. We felt welcomed and we enjoyed meeting the people around us and the staff was very friendly. It was nice to watch the pizza chef make the pizzas and the flavor was very good and they were hot which is the only way food should be served. We were only here for 3 nights and we ate here twice. They deserve the score they have been given and I believe they’re doing their absolute best to deliver great food and service. Give this place a try for sure!

Authentic small pizzeria in Sant'Angelo. They are polite, welcoming and provide quick service. Be prepared that during busy hours, there might be a waiting line in the street, but it does really worth it, the food is great and not expensive at all. Highly recommended!
Balázs B — Google review
O am traveling alone and they were able to seat me right away. The service was excellent and my pizza arrived at the table VERY quickly. They have a large menu with many options. That atmosphere is great. It’s casual and cozy and I found the prices to be fair. I would highly recommend if you are looking for pizza while in Sant Angelo.
Tara M — Google review
Busy and well-run restaurant in the winding layers of Sant' Angelo. Truly a pizzeria, but some other nice plates as well. Great variety of toppings and combos are also available as calzones (folded in half before cooking) or pinched over on four corners! And the crust is one of the best anywhere! Open kitchen makes it fun to watch the pies go in & out of the large wood-fired oven. Very relaxed atmosphere, even when it is busiest between 8 - 9. People took breaks from their meals to stroll outside with glasses of wine, and generally made for a fun vibe. And, the food was great. Quality ingredients, generous portions and delicious combinations. And very reasonable prices! This is a gem of an eating experience!

Absolutely amazing, from another word. One of the best pizzas I had traveling Campania. Had the Siciliana, with anchovies, capers and garlic and no cheese, the tomato sauce was insanely tasty, I will really miss it in my life from now on.

We ate here twice during our stay, in the evening. It was always busy (good sign) when other places were empty! The pizza was SOOOOOO good, lovely little place and the staff were super nice. We did have to wait but it was only about 10 minutes before a table became free. We'll be back next year!

I must disagree with another review that claimed non-locals didn't feel welcome at Ristorante Bar da Coco'. The food was delicious, and every staff member greeted customers with a smile and showed great patience. While the Italian server spoke limited English, they still provided excellent recommendations for what to eat. All the dishes were fantastic, especially the seafood options like fried anchovies and spaghetti di mare. Ischia is a popular tourist destination, attracting visitors from around the world.
A seafood lover's dream! The ocean views are as stunning as the flavors. The fried calamari was perfectly crisp, and the octopus, tender and delectable. Service was prompt and friendly, making the dining experience truly exceptional. A must-visit for any seafood aficionado! 🌊🍽️ Limited parking in ZTL area. Wait for hours when ZTL Is non activ

We were really looking forward to dining here, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. Upon arrival, we were told that outdoor seating was unavailable for guests without reservations — which we would have understood — except that just 10 minutes later, other walk-in guests were seated outside. We waited about 1 hour and 30 minutes for a salad and risotto. The dishes arrived in the wrong order, with the salad served after the risotto. The salad itself was underwhelming (as you can tell by the photo), and the olive oil and vinegar only arrived as we were finishing it. The risotto was ok. We wouldn’t recommend this place.

2018 review: Best seafood risotto on the island. Must visit 5/5 2024 review: this place used to be cocogelo and I've been over 50 times. It's always been one of the best restaurants on the island. I must say this time it was a total disappointment. The food was tasteless and the server did not listen to instructions. When specified one of the people at the table wanted a dish with no fish head.... he says ok I got something for you. And brings out 3 fishes on a plate with heads. There was no language barrier since we speak fluent italian. I am leaving the review in English so tourists can avoid what used to be a once great place.
Alfred B — Google review
I do not do reviews like this ever but I was so disappointed. Do not even attempt to go here if you are American. I sat with my sister for over 30 minutes while they waited on everyone around us and completely ignored us. Even trying to get their attention they blew us off. All while the table next to us was accidentally Served 2 bottles of wine instead of the one they ordered because two different servers were willing to take care of them instead of acknowledge us. I do however highly recommend this place down the street with great service and a very cute atmosphere. O’Puosto

The waiters are attentive and polite. Great view of the castle. Baby calamari fritti is to die for. Their batter is not thick. Ask for cocktail list. If you’re using a non-EU card, make sure you let the waiter know NOT to accept conversion.

Whether you’re popping in for a quick bite or settling in for a sunset dinner, Gino makes you feel right at home. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and love good food, great service, and genuine Italian hospitality!

Absolute best bruschetta O had.You would not expect to gave this kind of great experience in a beach shed.Thank you for great service and food! Will return back!

We arrived with a family of 3, and asked if we could sit in a table of 4, which had 2 tables together. We were told no, that it is for bigger company. After us came a party of 3, and they were okay to sit to that table. We ordered 8 euros lasagnes and it came out from the microwave, so we really didn't feel to try any bruschetta or anything else after that. And won't be returning.

Probably the best bruschetta in our trip in this small unassuming place. Massive portion, fresh and tasty. We also had the pasta pomodoro and a salad. Drinks were reasonable, service was quick!

Don't judge this place by the outside. What looks like a Shack from the street is actually an oasis on the water and it has everything you are looking for! A family run business and Gino leads the crew with an attentive eye and multilingual charm. The prices are more than fair especially considering the views from every seat of the water. The food is truly impressive with large portions (we shared a panini) and great taste. No air conditioning needed as fully covered and ocean breezes are free. Bathrooms and beach area as well. Overall a fantastic pit stop if you are in the area.

If you're seeking a delightful dining experience away from the typical beach shacks, Ristorante Deus Neptunus in Sant'Angelo d'Ischia is the perfect choice. With its charming white stucco exterior accented by blue trim, this restaurant exudes a breezy elegance that invites you to unwind. You can savor your meal on the lovely terracotta-tiled terrace while soaking in stunning views of the vibrant village below or enjoy panoramic vistas of the sea and sky through expansive indoor windows.
Incredibly romantic setting with exceptional food and atmosphere. Me and my fiance came here to celebrate our engagement, we had incredible wine with extremely fresh pasta with catch of the day, and spaghetti with clams, and some very tasty fried shellfish with a green salad. We also had a very delicious cheesecake and some lemoncello to finish. There was a very entertaining musician belting out Italian classics, who really made a great atmosphere. We also had fantastic service from all the waiting staff The views are the best in santo angelo, an incredible glow at sunset and amazing views of the bay. This is the greatest place for a special dinner, and will certainly be back

This restaurant was everything we were hoping for. The atmosphere, the service and the Mediterranean food was memorable. We ordered a variety of items for ourselves and 3 children and everything was fresh and delicious. The octopus, clams, mussels and fish were amazing!! Now that we are back home in the states, we definitely wanted to write a review to share this restaurant so others will have the chance to go!!

Having stayed in Sant’Angelo for a week, we tried pretty much every restaurant for lunch or dinner. This is by far the best for atmosphere, location and most importantly food. We luckily booked the seagull table which adds to the experience! Excellent service and the best food we had all trip. Highly recommend but reserve early if you want prime seating

This is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever been to. The team were kind enough to accommodate us even when we didn’t have a booking. I would really recommend eating slightly earlier at approximately 7:30pm-8:30pm so you can see the most magnificent sunset!

Very good short pasta with fish of the day (cod) and same short wide tubes with tuna and basil. Nice salad and grilled zucchini. Amazing views of the sapphire sea glimmering like a galaxy of diamonds. Terribly dissonant and annoying American ‘80s covers in the background, though.

This restaurant is a must when visiting Ischia! My wife and I enjoyed every part of it. The food was delicious, the staff were so friendly and the live music/atmosphere had everyone singing and laughing. The views from the patio were world class. Can not recommend enough :)

Taverna Pietro Paolo Detto Stalino is a delightful culinary haven that you simply must experience during your visit to Ischia. Nestled in a charming alley, this cozy eatery offers an inviting atmosphere where the love for food shines through every dish. With a menu brimming with fresh, homemade options, their standout Tomato and Mozzarella Bruschetta has garnered rave reviews—many even deem it world-class!
I would give this restaurant 100 stars if I could. Everything is 100% perfect. We stayed close by for 3 nights and ate here on our first and last night. A great choice of menu. Like a previous reviews The Tomato and mozzarella is amazing... I personally would go as far as to say The Tomato and mozzarella Bruscetta is world Class. I don't think it could be bettered. The chips (French fries) are homemade And Not frozen. On my visits I had Bruscetta both times. Obviously. I also had a tomato and mozzarella based Penne pasta And the steak. All of which I could highly recommend. To finish desert we had a kind of doughnut in batter... My god it was Beautiful. I envy anyone going And I intend to return. Thankyou to this restaurant. You do an amazing job. Very pleasant staff. All are a credit to their predecessors. You would make them all proud ❤️

We ordered one kind of wine, brought another. Chicken with cherrry tomatoes for 2 person 13,50€, ischia fish 13€, sardines 8,5€, fried potatoes 4€, donuts 4€, sprite 3€. It was tasty. We was waiting very long. Doesn't pay attention, when we want to pay. Service didn't like, but the chef of the kitchen produces a delicious meal.

The place is in Maronti beach’s area even if a bit off the beaten track. We decided to come here because of the good reviews and were not disappointed at all. The food was delicious: we had parmigiana di melanzana as starter and pasta aglio olio e peperoncino and pasta with clams as first dishes and everything tasted great! On the top of that Vincenzo, the owner of the place, is a very special person. He came to speak with us few times and made us feel at home. The only regret that we had is that we couldn’t eat anymore! (You might want to book a table in advance because the place is often fully booked, especially during summer).

A true gem in Ischia. We walked for 3 km to get to here and almost got lost, but when we finally arrived it was all worth it. The place, the food, the service, the view, everything was perrrrrfect!

Take the water taxi from Sant Angelo to the restaurant, 4euros per person per trip. You walk a narrow alley until you reach what looks like a hole in the wall. A cozy atmosphere and relaxed sitting. Food is fresh and cooked inside the kitchen just for you. Prices are good. Food is all cooked to order. They take Visa. TiP: bring Mosquito repellant and thank me later specially in summer.

Umberto a Mare is a charming and refined restaurant nestled beneath the Santuario del Soccorso, boasting an impressive history since 1936. With its stunning terrace overlooking the picturesque Bay of Citara and the enchanting lovers' rocks, this eatery offers breathtaking views that are particularly magical at sunset. Under the guidance of grandson Umberto, guests can indulge in exquisite seafood dishes like marinated raw Mediterranean amber jack and sweet paccheri with squid, sultanas, pine nuts, and cinnamon.
Beautiful restaurant with the best view of sunset. The food was excellent and service was amazing. This was my favorite meal on the island. Opportunity for improvement: We were sent here from our hotel as a recommendation. When we arrived we were 1 of 3 couples there. The host very loudly said "for two? Do you have a reservation?" We said "no" he proclaimed "ok you can sit here but you don't have a reservation". This would not have been an issue if the seats were actually filled. The best seats were not filled and I didn't quite understand why we were set aside and unable to sit in a better location.

This hotel has an amazing location on the Tyrrhenian Sea in Forio. And by “on the sea” it is on the sea!! Our balcony doors opened to the water. It is only a 6 minute walk from the ferry. It is adjacent to the Chiesa Del Soccorso. The rooms are a bit tired but for the price it can’t be beat. The staff is very attentive and the breakfast very tasty!
Tom D — Google review
Umberto a Mare boasts stunning views, but that’s where the positives end. The staff was incompetent, when I asked how the caviar was served, the waitress casually said “on a piece of bread,” dismissing my clarification about blinis. The food was bland and nearly inedible, a real disappointment. The only saving grace was the lovely bread paired with fantastic olive oils. Sadly, not enough to redeem the experience. Avoid unless you’re just there for the scenery.
Andreas J — Google review
Disappointing experience overall. The service was slow, inattentive, and unprofessional, which set the tone for the evening. The food itself wasn’t terrible, but it definitely didn’t stand out or justify the prices - it was just average at best. If you’re looking for a fine dining experience, I’d recommend taking your money somewhere else.

We had a reservation for sunday evening. Sunday morning, we learnt my wife's uncle passed away, and had to go back in France in Urgence. This was the priority and we took flights in the afternoon and evening and forgot to cancel the restaurant, which, in those circumstances, seem understandable. We sent an email to them to explain. This is the answer we got (picture). They are sorry but they don't care, this is small restaurant and we knew cancellation policy. Do you really want to eat in a place who lost total humanity ? I won't...
Philippe C — Google review
We went for the restaurant, the place is gorgeous if you want to go there to Watch for the sunset. Food was good but just as it less than the restaurant on the main walk, what separates this place to the others it’s the price and the location, but you are paying just for this last one, not for the food. Portions need to be increased as they are just a tentative to look “gourmet”. The spaghetti with Ricciola was totally missing fish traces, the Coffee dessert is a simple mascarpone cream that obviously taste good. Good food, great place but totally overpriced for the food! Service was not up to prices, with many misses such as not serving the wine.

The place is really nice and the view on the sea is breathtaking. We went for a dinner, so I can judge the restaurant quality. I will give 3 out of 5 stars because the check was really high compared to the quality of the meals, I've loved one of them but the appetizers weren't so good. I was with my friends, we were 7 at the table and on 508 euro bill they asked also for the 8 euro , I think that it could have been nicer to delete the 8 euro from the bill. In the end, is good but be careful

Ristorante "Terra e Sapori" is a charming family-run establishment that invites you to indulge in the rich flavors of Abruzzo. With a cozy and well-maintained ambiance, guests can enjoy their meals in a bright dining area or one of three intimate rooms. The outdoor garden provides a delightful space for children to play and offers the perfect setting for romantic summer dinners under the stars.
We traveled to many places in Italy in three weeks (Firenze, Lazio, Umbria, Roma, Napoli, Amalfi, and Ischia) and ate at lovely restaurants in all of them, but this was the best restaurant we encountered, in a beautiful setting near Forio on the island of Ischia. It featured absolutely delicious, local food, impeccably prepared by the chef Margherita and presented by her husband Marco and daughter Anna, in the refurbished stone wine cave of an old vineyard. (All the food was excellent, but don't miss the rabbit dishes!) They were kind and generous hosts, and took the time to help us choose our dishes and select wines and liqueurs to go with our meal. It was such a magical experience that we ate there for four nights in a row (which was easy to do, as we were staying in the vacation home they run nearby on their charming property). The food was so delicious that I didn't even stop to take pictures most of the time, but I have included three here, showing the sunset from the outdoor terrace, delicious spritzes prepared by Anna using local liqueurs, and the antipasti platter. We can't wait to go back!
Graham S — Google review
The restaurant had a great atmosphere. It was my fault not to check the menu beforehand because I wasn’t expecting to see no seafood options when I got there. My husband tried the rabbit and found it kind of dry. I had to order normal steak and it was normal. Bucatini with rabbit was good. Cocktails are super cheap, 6 euros per. We were surrounded with bees and the restaurant tried to do anything possible to help us. However I still find it weird that a restaurant on an island doesn’t have any seafood options.
Schiatta M — Google review
This restaurant has a true authentic Italian menu and atmosphere. Think farm to table. The steak is delicious. It was actually our second time here and so glad that we went back. We took a route getting there where the road was very narrow. Be sure to check your navigation for the more direct way in and out. The wait staff was attentive and the ambiance was romantic. So glad we went again.
Jennifer C — Google review
You must visit this spot if you are vacationing in Ischia. I suggest making a reservation so you can try the rabbit cooked in a terra cotta dish with bucatini. It was delicious! The property itself is beautiful; the restaurant is a former wine cellar and felt very romantic. We arrived on a scooter which helped navigate the long, winding driveway but I did see others arrive in cars, so it’s not a must. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind.
Kay B — Google review
This place was recommended by some friends, and they were absolutely right. 🤩🥳💯 Located on the hill of Forio, it's easily accessible by scooter (recommended as the street is really narrow). 🛵🗺️🚦 The food has been amazing, from the fried pumpkin and cheese filling to the traditional rabbit with pasta. 😋🤤💯 If you are visiting Forio, you shouldn't leave without visiting Terra e Sapori. 🇮🇹🍽️✨ Thank you, Anna, for the amazing evening! 🙏💖😊
Fon P — Google review
Easily our best meal in Ischia. As others have mentioned, it is a bit of a trek up a narrow hill, but well worth it. The location and restaurant itself are stunning. We had the appetizer combo, mix meat entree, and pomodoro pasta. All phenomenal. Only gripe was the wifi was weak and they didn’t have physical menus so had to use the servers phone.
Tyler P — Google review
An amazing restaurant all around! Stuck on hoping it stays a hidden gem but also wanting to share it with the world! Great views, phenomenal food and the sweetest family that owns it. If you’re visiting Ischia, don’t miss the opportunity to dine here. And get the rabbit!
Melinda H — Google review
Romantic, great location, local and high quality. Service on points The rabbit portion was rather small and not a lot of meat. We’ve had a tastier and more meaty version on the island. The local wine was excellent and light.

This is my favorite restaurant on Ischia. This was actually the second time we ate here, and it was even better than two years ago. We had the set menu, portions were generous and each of the courses had distinct flavours. We paired it with a lovely bottle of a local natural wine (Bajola). Our dinner was genuinely exciting and outpaced the other Michelin guide restaurant in the town of Forio. When we return to Ischia, returning here is a no-brainer!

We had chef’s tasting menu (4 courses and dessert,65€) - it was amazing, super innovative fish dishes. If you want a non-standard Italian dining experience, I highly recommend it. The service was also excellent- friendly, polite, with dishes coming one after the other but not too quickly. Enjoyed it a lot. Nestled right on the dock in Ischia Porto, Taverna Antonio is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in authentic Italian cuisine. The menu features an array of traditional dishes, including housemade gnocchi with mussels and delightful desserts like fig tarts and tiramisu.

We stumbled upon Taverna Antonio by pure chance—and what a find. They were fully booked for the night, but graciously squeezed our party of two in, and thank god they did. As a foodie, I thought I had seen it all… but octopus carbonara? Game-changer. It’s been two days, and I’m still thinking about it. We also shared the mussel scarpariello, which was packed with flavor, and what I believe was the Ischian bruschetta—a simple yet perfect mix of tomatoes, olives, capers, and sardines. We dug in so quickly I didn’t even get to photograph it. Everything was fresh, thoughtful, and rooted in local tradition with a creative touch. The restaurant is family-run, and Antonio himself was our waiter—charming, attentive, and clearly proud of what they’ve built. You can tell the space was recently redone; both the interior and exterior are beautifully styled, blending modern polish with island soul. Even the pottery was custom and adorable—another detail that made the whole meal feel special. The only (minor) downside wasn’t even their fault: the restaurant next door had harsh fluorescent lighting that interrupted the otherwise lovely ambiance. But once the food hit the table, we barely noticed. Taverna Antonio is the kind of place you remember—not just for the food, but for the heart behind it. If you’re in Ischia, make a reservation. You’ll be lucky to get in.

When visiting Ischia, make sure to stop by Ristorante da Emiddio, a charming family-run eatery that boasts stunning views of the port and Vesuvius. This delightful spot is renowned for its seafood pasta dishes, particularly the linguine allo scoglio brimming with shrimp, squid, mussels, and clams. Not to be overlooked are their delectable Neapolitan pizzas that perfectly complement any meal.
We had an amazing lunch here, although spent way more money than planned, but it was worth every penny. The seafood salad was amazing, especially since it was made for four of us, we all got a huge portion. My seafood pasta was also very good, and all the local wine we enjoyed with it. I've been visiting Ischia for over five decades and have enjoyed countless wonderful meals along the Porto. Unfortunately, my recent visit to Ristorante Emiddio—just to the right as you arrive in Ischia Porto—was my first truly negative dining experience on the island. Although the food was "ok," the bottom line: Ristorante Emiddio was a scammy, disappointing experience. There are far better options along the port. Do yourself a favor—keep walking.

A very simple yet great reataurant on the port of Ischia. The combination of good service, good food, and location is what makes the restaurant a good place to visit.

Of course if you’re eating along the bay here you expect to overpay and that’s totally okay. What is not okay is ordering a salad, having it go to the wrong table, discovering it has moldy tomatos, saying something getting not even a “sorry” then waiting ages for your food only to try and having terrible food, paying a coperto for FOUR EURO A PERSON and then an argument over said tomatos at the end. Absolutely wild stuff. I’m never reviewing on google but I HAD to write this because it was so terrible.

Ristorante Cantine Pietratorcia is a renowned winery with two restaurants on Ischia, one nestled among the vineyards of Panza and the other in Forio. The restaurant offers an intimate and charming setting away from the island's resorts, providing top-notch service and excellent food. The wine selection includes the famous native Ischitan wine, Biancolella, known for its heroic viticulture due to its inaccessible vineyard locations.

The best eggplant parmigiana I’ve ever had in my life (coming from a vegetarian who always orders this dish everywhere). The family who owns the place is so sweet. We went for lunch and dinner (it was that good), and neither disappointed. Their house wine selection was also delicious (we tried all of them), and the atmosphere is exactly what you would wish a place like this to look like. I can’t wait to go back. Thank you for the hospitality, for the dedication at what you do, and for keeping your roots. Grazie mille 🫶🏻

Since I live in Naples, my expectations are kind of high. I made a great search to find this restaurant but the food wasn’t perfect. It was good but not perfect. To begin with, octopus carpaccio was mid, combining it with corn was weird. The squid was also mid but the pumpkin sauce was good. Gnocchi lacked salt, it was also very mid. The best thing was the gamberi I tried. The atmosphere and the environment was very good. 2 antipasti, 1 pasta, 2 secondi and 1 bottle of wine was 150 euros.

We were able to get a last minute reservation here and it could not have turned out to be a better night. Luigi, Vanessa, and Antonio were so fun and inviting. From wine recommendations to giving us some fresh grapes from the vineyard to taste, they truly made our experience a 10/10. Would highly recommend ❤️

My husband and I enjoyed our last dinner on Ischia at this lovely family owned and operated restaurant. The atmosphere, wait staff and food were all top notch. We enjoyed the Eggplant Parmigiana, the pasta was perfectly cooked and the special fried Cod with caramelized onion and ginger carrot sauce was spectacular. Their homemade Lemon cake and Chocolate Lava cake were a decadent way to end the meal.

A big surprise to us. Really good food. Maybe even the best parmigiana I ever had. Fish on point. Wines of course also since that is their main competence. We saw the kitchen crew. Very sympathetic people. Service was also top notch. She could easily handle a Guide Michelin restaurant with her presence. Very nice rural area. PS: During the last years, I saw many overrated restaurants across Italy. Restaurant where people with just a few reference points said "best food ever". Oftentimes I left these restaurants from simple Osterie to Michelin disappointed. Here, I can say that this restaurant is underrated. They want to impress.

During a recent vacation, I stumbled upon Ristorante Il Delfino and was impressed by its outstanding food and service. The owner, Giuseppe, showcased the fresh fish they had caught that day, adding to the remarkable experience. The warm ambiance of the place made me feel welcome, prompting me to return for a second night. With their delicious bruschetta and fresh fish dishes paired with delightful wine selections, this restaurant truly offers the best of the best.
The best place we ate in Ischia, amazing seafood and lovely staff. 100% recommend, would have eaten here every night if given the chance!

We came two persons for the late dinner. Antipasti MIX was amazing and cost 25€, but pasta with prawns and other with some kind of crab were tasteless :( Also the fish was offered as fillet, but came out as a full fish which cost around 70€. So i total with bottle of wine (20€), beer for my husband and some side dishes, we spent 180€. Everything would be nice and the price would be ok, if taste in all dishes would be better. In this case, price was way too high.

It could have been a full score but don’t serve me hot rosé. Even if you brought a ice bucket. You have the best tomatoes ever. Fish good. The view is great. But you are to buzzy. On the beach. Outside serving. WC. No parking. A bit upper. Good on fish.

We happened upon Delfino one night on our recent vacation. Food and service were remarkable that we went back the next night! Giuseppe, the owner, brought out the fresh fish they had caught that day. The place was so welcoming that they invited us to a family confirmation for a 3rd visit!!

Nestled along the picturesque Riva Destra in Ischia Porto, Un Attimo Di Vino is a hidden gem that seafood lovers simply cannot miss. This charming restaurant boasts a delightful terrace with stunning views of the yachts, making it an ideal spot for both lunch and dinner. The menu is a seafood lover's dream, featuring an array of fresh carpaccio, delectable seafood pastas, and expertly grilled fish.
The owner served us wines from ischia which were delicious. We are well here. Expert cooking with the freshest ingredients. The fish carpaccio was delicate and delicious. Excellent bread too. We sat outside on the terrace and the locals were chatty. Quite an experience. The inside of the restaurant is an Aladdin’s cave of wine.

Awesome. The owner waited on us. He recommended we choose a fish in the cas and he would make it 3 ways Ceviche Pasta Baked in slivers of potato Wow! So glad we went with his recommendation. Incredible lunch. Go with the flow, let the master lead you to a great meal and mangia. We also discovered a great white local wine that was a great accompaniment.

The best dining experience in my life! Amazing atmosphere, right off the harbor. The owners son plays piano and it's played throughout the restaurant. Pick your own freshly caught fish out of the case and the chef prepares it in three ways; appetizer, a first course pasta dish, and then a second course filet. OMG, it was so good. An absolute MUST if you visit this island!
David L — Google review
Must visit. In 4 weeks in Italy, this was one of my favorite meals. The food, the atmosphere, and the service were all perfect. Still sitting on the patio as I write this, happy and full. I got their suggested menu of the day. The best choice. The service and staff were so friendly and welcoming, which sadly can't be said everywhere.
Tracy G — Google review
Try un attimo di vino for different experience - the head chef welcomes you into “his home” takes a fresh white fish that was caught at 7am and turns it into a 3 course meal - carpaccio/steam fish salad, a pasta and his take of fish and chips. His son came and played the piano for us and he was amazing. The chef came to introduce each course to us. Personally I think it is a bit pricey for what it is. It cost 100 euros for 2 people and you didn’t have a choice but to go with the fish of the day in 3 ways + bread with olive oil + 2 glasses of wine + bottle of water. But it is something a bit different if you like fresh fish and you want more of an experience.
Steph — Google review
The owner and staff were so friendly and wonderful. From choosing fish to choosing wine they were helpful and knowledgeable. They then prepared the fish in 3 courses - carpaccio, pasta and fillets. Each course was delicious, and wine perfectly matched. Even eating alone they made you feel very comfortable and it was really fun.
Jessica S — Google review
The restaurant has only a three meal course based on a selected fresh fish. The first is carpaccio, the second pasta and the third fish fillet with chips. Carpaccio and pasta are very tasty but for me the fish was a bit poor. As for the price we paid 400 euros 7 person with a bottle of wine and 4 bottles of water. So around 60 euros per person. Very expensive for the taste and the fact that we found fish scales in most of the dishes.

Ristorante La Grotta da Fiore is a charming restaurant nestled atop Mount Epomeo, offering a rewarding stop after a challenging hike. The establishment is carved into the tufa on the mountain peak and provides breathtaking views across Ischia. The menu features fresh, local dishes including pasta, fish, and salads. Hikers can follow specific trail markings to reach this hidden gem with an enviable view.
Great place! A little work to get there, but well worth it! We parked down the road near a place called Miscillo Sapori and then hiked for about 20 min. The food was very good and the portions were generous. Definitely would recommend and highly suggest to reserve a table if you are planning to have a dinner in the evening. The website has a few numbers to message/call. Google provided hours are wrong and the place was open until 9pm on the day of the review.

Lovely family run restaurant on top of a mountain only accesable on foot. No you cant bike there (yes we tried), you have to leave your bikes aprox 1 km down the path. The food and price were good but the view breathtaking.

This place was a treat. The location is truely beautiful, just underneath the top of Monte Epomeo it’s the perfect reward for your hike up the mountain. The restaurant offers stunning views and everything is made by the family running the place, from the wine and limoncello to the sausages… The hosts were very friendly! I would love to return here :)

I am from Ischia and I eat in this place since ages! Is always amazing to be here! Great atmosphere, incredible food, and a view of 360 degree of the island and the iconic Aragonese Castle! Worth the trekking if you want to be there for lunch or even better for sunset! But for an evening dinner is always better to book in advance! Definitely a MUST do experience if you are in Ischia.

We made the relatively steep 3 km walk from Fontana, which is about one hour, to reach to restaurant at the top of Monte Epomeo and its amazing panoramic views of the island. Sitting at a table on the front terrace, we had the Spaghetti Epomeo, omelette con coppa and insalata pomodori con cipolla, which were all excellent. The owner guided us to another extraordinary view through the back of the restaurant and was kind to share the story of his grandfather travelling up the mountain by donkey and carving out the rock face, where the family-owned restaurant sits today.
Jakob E — Google review
This restaurant was recommended to me by a local on the bus to Monte Epomeo, and the bruschetta specifically. She was 100% correct in saying the bruschetta was delicious! The view was phenomenal, I stopped in to eat after taking photos at the peak. Many tables were "reserved" on the terrace but I still managed to find a table with a great view. The bruschetta and freshly squeezed OJ were both delicious. Would recommend!
Emilie W — Google review
The food was so good and the view amazing (although it was a little bit cloudy). Unfortunately we won't remember these positive things: There was a beagle, who doesn't belong to this restaurant and he looked very sick, he kept harassing our dog (jumping on him, licking him) and we couldn't keep him away. As we were concerned about our dogs health, we were glad, that at some point the owners of he restaurant lead him away. But apparently this dog comes there every day looking for food. We wouldn't go back while having a dog with us.

We had a wonderful lunch at Ristorante La Grotta da Fiore. The food was incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and the portions were generous. Every dish was delicious, and we especially appreciated the explanation about the rabbit and how it was prepared—it’s clear they take real pride in their cooking. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The waiters and owners were genuinely friendly and attentive. You can tell they truly care about the service—they don’t just bring food to the table, they make sure you enjoy the full experience. To top it all off, they surprised us with a big bag of fresh basil and some chillis to take home! 🤩 Such a thoughtful gesture. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic food, kind people, and a memorable dining experience.

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with this restaurant. The food was not cooked as expected, the beef was not cooked as requested and the pork was not cooked as well, was pink inside. The potatoes were also not tasty, not fresh but frozen. We waited a lot for the food.

Don't be scared away by the recent reviews about rips-offs. I just went today and the "coperto" (cover charge) was just 3 Euro/person (pretty standard). If you're at all worried, just go and ask before you sit down. The menu was not in english but there were two waiters that spoke english and they were very helpful getting us to find something great. The view is amazing. Go just for the view. Glad we arrived RIGHT at 12:30 when it opened for lunch as the parking lot is small and we were able to park, get seated, and place our order all before the place became filled with locals.

If you’re not careful, you will walk by Ristorante da Bellezza without noticing, and miss an outstanding meal. Operated by Nuncia and her family, she does all of the cooking. The best bruschetta I have had and my Italian friends who ate with me agree. Ripe, firm, vibrant red tomatoes mixed with the right amount of garlic, olive oil, and basil grown on the premises. Homemade bread with just enough of the bruschetta seasoning soaked in. Eggplant simple yet perfectly balanced flavors and oils you will want to soak your bread in. We had the seafood of the day. Molto bene! Fresh caught, light breading, a touch of salt. Moist when called for, crunchy when appropriate. It was unassuming but applause the most authentic meal we had while staying in Ischia.

Food was amazing! We ordered 3 portions of the Spaghetti Frutti di Mare and a spaghetti Puttenesca. They give you complimentary bruschetta which was so simple and delicious. All the seafood was super fresh and pasta cooked perfectly. The woman who runs the place has a very friendly energy and makes you feel very welcome in the restaurant. Her mother does the cooking so the experience is very authentic! Reasonable prices for the quality and portion of the food too. Not to be missed and ofcourse there is an incredible view from the outside terrace to enjoy while you eat. Will definitely return during our stay in Ischia!

O Padrone do' Mare is a seafood restaurant that offers attentive and polite service. The portions served are generous, particularly the 'fish soup' which needs to be reserved in advance. Despite being called a soup, it's more like a plate filled with various seafood delicacies such as clams, mussels, octopus, squid, shrimp, and fish cooked together. The food is described as finger-licking good and the portion size is huge.

Honestly it could be much better. Portions were small, service not at the top as well. Pasta with crevettes with only 3 shrimps, pasta vongole was empty. we had the pleasure of dining at this Michelin-starred restaurant last night, and we were absolutely blown away. The food was incredible, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was simply magical. The restaurant is located in a small, romantic setting with only 4 tables. The garden is absolutely stunning, with beautiful flowers and plants, and a stunning view of the city. The food is innovative while still portraying traditional Italian cuisine, with a focus on using fresh, seasonal ingredients. The dishes are beautifully presented, and the flavors are simply incredible. We had the tasting menu, and loved every single course.

What can I say? The drive to this restaurant felt like Frodo and Sam’s trek to Mordor—except our quest was for some truly fancy POH-TAH-TOES. And yes, it was absolutely worth it. We and ALL the diners around us had to ask for the waiters' attention several times. The boss/manager/owner was chatting with his italian diner friends instead of helping his own staff. The food is extremely ordinary: The service fee IS NOT WORTH €7! Finally, the table we were assigned was dirty, it even had an empty bottle of wine with a chiller next to me that was NEVER removed during our entire service. The hostess who charged us, in a bad mood… This “restaurant” is the typical tourist trap, NOT RECOMMENDED.
Kalia M — Google review
The mushroom pasta was breathtakingly good. The best wine I’ve ever had in my entire life. Try their local red wine, you will not regret it!
A — Google review
I never expect great things from a tourist restaurant, and this one was no exception. Apart from the beautiful location, there's not much to save: the appetizer with peppered mussels and cold cuts was decent. The pasta with porcini mushrooms, on the other hand, is forgettable – watery, bland, and flavorless. The ribeye was good (difficult to mess up), although they didn't inquire about my preferred level of doneness (luckily, it arrived rare, as I prefer, but not everyone likes it that way), but it was accompanied by a meager serving of "vegetables" (essentially half a grilled zucchini). The bill was in line with the prices in the area, but beware: there was an error, albeit a minor one – I was charged for an extra bottle of water, so make sure to carefully check the bill. Very slow service.
D C — Google review
Good food (except the salad as another reviewer has already said) but CAUTION when ordering as we ended up two unnecessary and not very good 8 euro salads because the waiter asked "chips or salad with that?" as if an included choice. They wouldn't remove it, so I won't go there again. Anyway, I felt this was disingenuous as we could have ordered anything from the contorni (side dishes) if we had wanted. This is a cheap tactic from an otherwise decent and relatively expensive place. Also,, don't like the fact that the colourful plates that dress the table are recycled countless times without being washed. And everyone touches them and some look a little grubby on close inspection but sometimes you are expected to eat off them.......
Will B — Google review
Overpriced for what it is. We had an aubergine pasta, carbonara pasta and a Bresaola salad. The two pastas were okay, none of us finished them. The salad in the other hand was delicious, but ruining a salad is difficult. We also had regular 3 beers and paid 75 euros. The service was good and friendly.
Diego A — Google review
We didn't like the salad with tuna 12eur. Steak was not good, lot of rat for 24eur. Wine was ordinary for 6.5eur per glass. We left the food, waiter didn' t care if customers are satisfied. Manager was aggressive, German speaking Asian guy. He however suggested us another salad or desert instead. We didn't want anything more, he forced us to pay or to go to police. We left the place hungry, nervous and unsatisfied. Never going there again.

Went to La Pace early July 2024 and was amazing. Surreal feeling that you can only get there by boat and arrive to a fabulous atmosphere with a deserted island vibe. Your boat anchors and the restaurant’s taxi boat takes you to the dock. So fun! Food was amazing. Lots of incredibly fresh seafood, delicious pastas and great dessert. Prices were reasonable. We went on a Sunday with the Boat to this wonderful restaurant. They come to pick you up with a little small boat to bring you a shore. We enjoyed the food immensely I had tomatoe bruschetta and barbecued chicken. The chicken was from a good farm. My wife had the fried fish. We took a green salad and we shared a baba. We had the rosé wine and a bottle of water. €130. I honestly did not want to leave the view was mesmerising and the service was very kind and quick even though this was Sunday the busiest day of the week. Thank you very much. This is a big improvement from last year only less point your toilet must be improved.

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately, the food was mediocre... the club sandwich with grilled eggplant and egg was tasteless; the toast stuck to the roof of my mouth and smelled strongly of eggs. The almond chicken was really good with a spicy, sweet sauce, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to save the place because it was really hard to digest. I kept it in my stomach until the next day (I came at 8 PM for dinner). Prices were medium-high, but that's justified by the central location. The waiters, however, were okay! I camerieri invece erano ok!

Bar Epomeo is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, offering a great place to relax and enjoy quality food and drinks. The bar provides classic bruschetta, caprese with buffalo mozzarella, as well as beer, wine, and limoncello. Situated in a beautiful garden with coastal views, it's an ideal stop before or after hiking up Mount Epomeo.
Beautiful location to sit in the garden with a view down to the coastline. The food was very tasty we had the zingara and Bruschetta. The tomatoes used are just incredible. Highly recommend a stop off here just before or after the hike up to Mt. Epomeo.

Good views. We weren’t hungry so only had a bruschetta and some drinks. They brought us pastries and limoncello, which we’d not ordered and to which we said no. At the end they gave us a bill for €23 not itemised. Would avoid for aggressive service

Random prices for espresso. Second day was half of the price :) Other than that, it's ok.

Local bar. Local style. Lots of trekking people comes in. WC. Water. Coffee. Bus station outside. Friendly staff

It’s a bar. Calice di vino is like 300ml and is good wine. La zingara is enough for anybody.

Best Sfogliatelle on the island. We also loved the Bruschetta. Nice outside area. Reasonably priced. I can totally recommend this bar before and/or after your hike to Monte Epomeo.

Good capuccino and sfogliatella. The view is awesome and the staff is friendly

Your options are bruschetta or a meat/cheese plate. They have beer and wine, and ostensibly limoncello. It will likely be the best meal of your life, after the climb to the top and back (it doesn't seem like much, 800 meters) but Epomeo takes it out of you.

Additionally, customers can enjoy a refreshing coffee or Prosecco at the bar inside before making their selection.
I didn’t try the pasteries here but I bet they are as good as the gelato I had. We visited lots of places in Ischia that make gelato, and this place was the best.

This qualifies as the "out of the way eatery" that's worth the trip. Kinda hard to get to. Follow the signs and drive slowly. Their speciality (in my opinion) are the "semifreddi" pastries. There are many varieties of chocolate, lemon and pistachio among others. It's worth the trip.

It was tricky to contact them at the beginning because of the contact links in the web, but they were super nice and helpful when I messaged over WhatsApp. Unfortunately, I had to cancel before I could order, for personal reasons, but their cakes look great and they quoted me a very fair price, so I'll definitely be keeping them in mind in the future!

After tasting, both were excellent, but we fell in love with the pistachio one. And what a hit with our guests! Giardini Poseidon Terme is a large thermal park in Forio, Ischia, offering over 20 pools with healing thermal waters and a private beach. It's known for its pleasant combination of nature and thermal resources, featuring pools at different temperatures, waterfalls, sunbathing areas, wellness and beauty treatments all set amidst lush Mediterranean vegetation. The location provides panoramic views and various amenities such as a solarium, gym, and vineyard for leisurely walks.
An amazing experience! Went with my family, including a toddler and 6 month old and found it convenient and kid friendly enough. While the children aren’t allowed near the hot/ cold pools, there is a large enough area for them with 3 pools and ample seating. The space is gorgeous with every detail thought of. Highly recommend and will be back!

Proof if any were needed of the geothermal activity in the Bay of Naples. Although children are not permitted to enter the main hot pools, there are pools where they can happily play if supervised by an adult so it isn't too restrictive. My wife had a great time in the hot pools and sauna while i looked after our little one. For us this was a great day out from Sorrento where we were staying and involved an enjoyable ferry trip from Sorrento harbour,

Such a beautiful park! My husband, 1.5 year old son, and I visited for the day. Kids aren’t allowed in the thermal park so we stayed by the kids pools and switched off enjoying the spas. Such a relaxing experience at a great value. We got lunch at the cafe as well. The pool areas were clean and spacious and everyone there was respectful. One of the highlights of our trip.

Wow. Amazing day trip from Sorrento. Can’t recommend enough. Tons of restrooms and changing areas. Hundreds of chairs and umbrellas free of charge. Free locker to leave belongings. Affordable delicious food. Mostly locals

Super clean, nice and relaxing atmosphere. There are free lockers and many changing areas. Two restaurants for breakfast and lunch, not too many choices, but there are some still. You need a whole day to visit everything and enjoy the park’s diversity.

Great experience for a day. The entry is 50 € per person for the whole day. You can choose in any area a sunbed for the day. They have a bar open all day with drinks, desserts and sandwiches and a restaurant with food till 4pm I think. The pools are clean and with Ward water from 32 to 40°. It's worth the experience for a day if you stay 7 days on the island.

Bar Calise is a historic bar located in the central Piazza degli Eroi, surrounded by greenery and featuring a private garden filled with plants and flowers. The elegant and refined atmosphere offers a wide selection of fresh pastries, biscuits, vegan croissants, and plant-based milk for a delightful cappuccino. It's a popular spot for locals to enjoy an 'Espresso and Cornetto' while avoiding tourist crowds.
A lovely cafe in Ischia, Italy @barcalise.ischia, along the port serving some delicious pastries and cakes! The ambience makes up for the lack of seating space. You can stand and sip your cappuccino or espresso like the locals do. Charming!
Hemen B — Google review
Fine for a quick coffee while you wait for your ferry. If you sit down they expect you to pay right away, which is fine, but order everything at once.
Jenny J — Google review
We had a very sad experience in Calise bar. We arrived yesterday and ask for two orange juices and two cream and cherry croissants. We decided not to seat on the table (the cost would have been around 100 per cent higher then the normal, which is however already quite high). We stepped out to find a place to seat when we realized the orange juices had a very light taste. My boyfriend then said to me that she noticed that after making the first cup of juice they took another cup and added half of the juice in the second cup and mixed both with tap water to make two juices with one…. Then we didn’t want to complain about it but decided to stop to a side area always belonging to the Bar Calise and have our breakfast there. There was no one there, not even one from the bar personnel to speak to. So we just seated. After less than 5 minutes a guy came to us and warned us about the extra coast for the service on table, with a very unwelcoming attitude. We then replied that we payed for two orange juices but had only one in fact. We were very upset about the treatment we had. The two points of our review are only for the croissants which were doubtless amazing.
Sandra C — Google review
A real Italian atmosphere. Everybody comes in to have an espresso at the counter. I had a large cannoli and a cappuccino. Delicious!!! First, you pay at the cash register and then you collect your order from the counter with the ticket given. Felt like rush hour
Ileana V — Google review
Very bad experience. We went here because Lonely Planet recommends it. Big mistake: I should have read the google reviews instead. First, you order, and then before you are served, you have to queue to pay. Now, of course, this is the kind of place frequented with less than respectful people. So inevitably, you have half a dozen people trying to cut the line. When you ask them politely to respect the line, you are disrespect, and even the owner at the cashier brushes you aside. Well I can spend my money elsewhere and I recommend you do the same. Very limited space inside, very sparse selection of food. Very disrespectful service. I recommend to stay away.
Ricardo L — Google review
Try the filled croissant and cappuccino while you wait for your ferry, delicious!
Nico G — Google review
Can’t say what is the food like because we were not served. We signaled/told three different waiters that we would like to order but none of them came to our table. Even though one of the waiters was standing at the table right next to us and extensively talking to the customers (probably friends)… After 25 minutes of being totally ignored, we left and we will not return

Classic Italian cafe !! If you don’t know what to do they get frustrated but I get that lol- the good review is because the croissant ischitana was the best pastry I had in Italy!! So good~ got it and a macchiato at the bar right before catching the ferry back to Naples :)

Ristorante Casa Celestino, located on a breezy patio with a beautiful view set in the cliff, offers a delightful dining experience. The seafood salad and prawns with lemon zest are highly recommended dishes. The restaurant's friendly staff and stunning sunset views make it an ideal spot for a memorable birthday celebration. Visitors from London were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional seafood and the special birthday message from the staff.
Easily one of the top two meals in Sant' Angelo! With a gorgeous setting and comfortable seating, divine service and unique dishes, it is a great experience. The menu is not extensive but has delightful and innovative versions of the local dishes. They are served professionally and with pride. Their care of the diner is obvious, with great attention, constantly fresh utensils, friendly discussion of menu choices and just enough check-ins. Be prepared to try to understand a little Italian as this is an "authentic"experience! But don't worry, it will be fine. We loved this experience. We would rush back there in a second!
Steve R — Google review
Good quality, yet generally overpriced (@ dinner time), especially the primi piatti. I have seen a lot of miniature portions going around in this restaurant. Tuna tataki is of decent size (pictured), very good taste, but with a near absent caponata. Excellent atmosphere if you sit at the edge of the terrace (otherwise not much).
Stefano C — Google review
Amazing place, great service, sadly the most important part for us was the food and it was not good enough! We had a seafood platter which cost 36€. On this platter we had 1 oyster, 1 prawn, a tuna tartare with no taste or seasoning, some mango droplets on the plate that could've just been beige coloured water drops, a tasty carpaccio and fish bathing in olive oil. The presentation was quite beautiful, but for 36€, you'd hope to eat something which fills you up and tastes great! The service was truly great though and the wine was well recommended! Also, the oyster was clearly not alive as it didn't react to touch or acidity!

Extremely slow service, so beware. Amazing views, great ambience but high prices. They made us wait legit 20 minutes before they came to take our order. We got their tuna tartare and it was delicious, definitely smaller than usual portion tho. Cod confit was yummy, however, involtino, which is the fried fish, was disappointing. There is even live music after 9:00 pm which was cool. Overall good experience.

A birthday I will never forget. Being from London, I assumed that I simply did not like seafood. As it happens, I have never had true seafood in my life until I came here. What a special restaurant. An absolutely stunning view of the sunset over the oceans and two edges of the island, beautiful decorations in the restaurant and incredibly friendly staff who all spoke perfect english. The food was absoultely stunning and they even did a special birthday message for me. Getting to and from the restaurant is also very easy, with a huge parking lot nearby for about €2 an hour, followed by a beautiful walk along the mountain with shops and cafes around. I doubt I will ever go to a restaurant as beautiful as this for the rest of my life, certainly a once in a lifetime experience! Worth every penny. Do not miss out!

Beautiful view, set in the cliff, lovely food and very friendly staff! I had the steak tartar which was great and the fish “confit” which which just delicious, unique and beautiful, I highly recommend it! I also had some oysters which were lovely but were €7 each (French , Italian and sustainable, always comes at a price) I didn’t have a reservation but went at 7.30 and was able to get a table. I think it’s the best time to go because you get to watch the sunset. Thank you!!!

A Morning Ritual We’ll Never Forget Our experience at Botania Resort was made even more special by the incredible presence of Luisa, the morning yoga instructor. Luisa is a truly magical and radiant soul—graceful, grounded, and full of warmth. Her classes felt like a sacred invitation into the day, guiding us gently yet powerfully into alignment of body, mind, and spirit. Each session was original, creative, and deeply personal—tailored to the moment and to those in the room. Luisa’s presence is both calming and uplifting, a beautiful balance that supported us in waking up with intention and clarity. She didn’t just lead a class; she held space, offered care, and invited connection—with ourselves, each other, and the day ahead. Luisa is a true asset to Botania. What makes this hotel special are the countless little private hideaways scattered throughout the property. I loved discovering the outdoor cabana beds charming benches tucked into quiet corners and even swings where you can just sit and breathe. It's like having your own secret Garden with multiple spots to find your perfect moment of Zen. The staff were incredibly accommodating and hospitable throughout my stay. They really made me feel welcomed and cared for. The food was another highlight, the nuance of flavours and artistry in each dish was remarkable. The 3 day a week Yoga sessions with Luisa were absolutely fantastic too. The live music was also top notch - an unexpected welcomed addition to my experience. The proximity to the thermal baths was the perfect bonus, making it so convenient to enjoy the full wellness experience without hassle. If your looking for a high quality place to truly replenish your vitality and find some peace, Botania Relais and Spa is absolutely ideal. I will definitely be back.

Our stay at Botania Relais was pure magic from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special, and they even surprised us with an upgrade to a stunning suite with a private pool. The property itself is truly remarkable, surrounded by lush greenery, beautiful flowers, and a profound sense of peace. It feels like a hidden paradise. I only had the chance to try one of the restaurants, Il Corbezzolo, but it turned out to be the best meal of my entire vacation. The food and ambiance were phenomenal. Botania Relais exceeded all expectations. I can’t wait to come back!

From the moment we arrived, we knew we’d discovered something special. While the property isn’t situated directly on the beach, that turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Nestled among vibrant gardens and lush greenery, the setting felt peaceful, secluded, and refreshingly different from the typical beachfront resort experience. If you do want some sand and sea, a beautiful beach is just a short five-minute stroll away—easy and convenient. But honestly, we found ourselves completely enchanted by the grounds. The landscaping is stunning, the atmosphere is serene, and everything feels thoughtfully curated. One of the standout aspects of our stay was the staff. Every person we interacted with was genuinely kind, attentive, and committed to making our experience memorable. It’s rare to come across such consistently warm and detail-oriented service. The food was fresh and clean, the ambiance was calming, and every moment felt like a breath of fresh air. We’re leaving with full hearts and already dreaming of our return. This has, without question, become one of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed.

This review is long overdue, but I must share what an absolute treat it was to have our wedding reception dinner and aperitivo here at La Lampara in July 2023. The dinner created by Chef Ciro Calise was so delicious and stunningly beautiful. We had five courses and each course was a work of art. Many guests - all passionate "foodies" said this was the best food they've ever had. We want to thank Anna and her team for organizing the most beautiful and memorable wedding evening for us. We had been looking forward to the dinner at La Lampara for over a year and wow did it deliver!! It surpassed our expectations in every way. The views were breathtaking and the entire evening was just magical. And I want to call out a special thanks to Chef Ciro and his team for accommodating our guests' special dietary restrictions. One of my friends can't eat egg, dairy or gluten and Chef Ciro not only accommodated her for each dinner course, but made her a special plate of appetizers just for her at the aperitivo hour. It made her so happy she was practically brought to tears. Thank you to everyone at La Lampara for being so wonderful to work with and for giving us the wedding dinner and evening of our dreams.

We usually have a rule about avoiding hotel restaurants, however La Lampara is an exception. We had a long lunch here with friends and a young baby. This is an elegant venue with an upscale menu. The service was extraordinary and the food was considered and well presented. The stunning view is the cherry on top. We really enjoyed talking to our waiter who was incredibly knowledgeable about Italian wines. The on-the-house amuse bouches were heavenly and interesting. We also greatly enjoyed our other dishes. Well done to the chef! We highly recommend a dinner or lunch here if you consider yourself a foodie!

This was one of very few places open for lunch on a weekday in the off-season. We came dressed in our touristing clothes since we were hiking up to the castle, and I was a bit worried we were underdressed for the restaurant. However, the staff was kind and not judgemental. They even brought us a complimentary shrimp and calamari carpaccio appetizer. I had the risotto al limone, and my husband had a fried calamari and shrimp dish. We were pleasantly surprised with the large portions - being such a fancy restaurant we expected the portions to be tiny! The food was delicious! Distillery
Ischia Sapori is the only liqueur factory on the island of Ischia, offering a variety of traditional Italian liquors. Their signature Rucolino is a locally famous liquor made from arugula grown on the island, while their Limoncello is crafted from organic lemons from their orchard. The intense and bitter flavor of Rucolino makes it an excellent choice as a digestive after meals.

(Translated by Google) Typical Neapolitan traditional liquor shop. The workhorse is Rucolino (trademark registered by them). Rucolino ® is a rocket bitters 70 cl. 30% vol. Arugula is a vegetable species used for its leaves which are eaten alone or often add flavor to salads. Rucolino, with an intense and bitter flavor being based on rocket, is excellent as a digestive at the end of a meal. The characteristic taste is ensured by the "wild rocket" (which grows in abundance on the island of Ischia). A particular aroma and a marked flavor are obtained from the leaves. Rucolino can be served either iced (much better) or at room temperature. The flavor of the herbs is vaguely reminiscent of bitter Montenegro or even more so Jagermeister. Another sales point is located at the beginning of via Roma. This store is smaller but always well stocked. Chalet Ferdinando a Mare is a unique seaside restaurant located in the village of Sant'Angelo, offering a one-of-a-kind culinary experience. The restaurant is situated just 2 meters from the sea on the Fumarole beach, where they utilize geothermal cooking techniques to prepare their dishes. The food, including seafood, meat, and vegetables, is cooked under the sand using hot vapors from underground volcanic fumaroles.
We had a wonderful afternoon on the beach here with a delicious lunch cooked in the sand! We would highly recommend.

Great restaurant right on the beach. Views are incredible and real authentic vibe. The tuna salad was incredible, and the bruschetta looked amazing! We went for the octopus and the squid which were also delicious, but would recommend the bruschetta and salad more. Great service !

(Translated by Google) The chalet da Ferdinando is exactly on the fumarole beach, reachable via - a long walk (20-30min) - boat with €3 -cars available €4 that drop you off and pick you up from the car park. I recommend booking because there are relatively few places available and it is only open for lunch. The menu is not very extensive: there are a few selected things and everything cooked is done through fumaroles i.e. directly in boiling sand at 100 degrees so the food is practically steam cooked. Prices are high. Octopus costs €20, chicken €12, salad €15, two slices of bread (bruschetta) with cherry tomatoes €8 seems excessive to me. Things are good, very spicy with turmeric, pink pepper. Cover charge €1.50 and water €2.50. However, what I didn't like and which influenced my final opinion was the change in price on a couple of things on the bill. It was a real downfall of style. Luckily I always check prices and accounts and therefore I didn't let myself be "ripped off". It's not for the difference of a couple of euros but it's the gesture that annoys. I recommend it to try something relatively different but I wouldn't go back.

(Translated by Google) I came here for lunch with my boyfriend. They made us sit on the terrace overlooking the sea, beautiful scenery. Why did I give two stars? Because the menu is quite limited, you can find fumarole specialties with different types of crustaceans and molluscs. At first I decide to take the finished mussels. The catch of the day, finished. So I take the prawns (I am offered cooked and with a side of mozzarella) so I accept. Too bad about the price and quantities, in my opinion very small for the sum of €30. I was served 4 prawns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Obviously they didn't feed me. My mistake. My expectations were certainly not met, it is unacceptable to serve only 4 prawns for €30. Look at the photo.. My boyfriend instead got the octopus, which unfortunately was a bit tough. We also took a salad with tomatoes, there were some strange pungent vegetables on top... maybe better not to include them if they are not edible. For the rest all good, service normal. Suggestive place just for the fumaroles and their special cooking! 2 stars. 2 stelle.

Visited this restaurant for lunch whilst at San Montano beach and what a great surprise! Everything was excellent, from the first approach of the service staff, to the quality of the meal, I cannot fault it. My husband had the seafood risotto which was plentiful and so delicious and I enjoyed the candele ragu with three types of meat in a tomato onion sauce which was excellent! Excellent value for money, not only for the quality of the food but also for the service by Gian Luigi and location. Highly recommend when visiting the area!

I ordered the truffle risotto but was served what felt more like rice with milk and onions—there wasn’t even a hint of truffle or any of the flavours you'd expect based on menu description. Edit 6/17/18: Wonderful experience again. One of the best places to sit on a beautiful evening directly next to the see with the sun setting on the Aragonese Castle in full view. Delicious gnocchi con zucchine e gamberi (Gnocchi with zucchini sauce and shrimp) and very fresh. They let you know on the menu that your meals are cooked to order so this is not a place for a quick bite! /// This is homemade Italian food made by family members in the kitchen. It’s fresh and delicious. I ate here multiple times while I was exploring Ischia and the service was gracious each time. I was able to request that they prepare me the ragù of rabbit that is typical of Ischia and With a day or two request they had prepared it for me and it was superb. The seating and views are spectacular, especially near sunset. The fried anchovies (alici) were crisp, white, and fresh.

With two dining areas, one overlooking the sea and another indoors, it is perfect for both warm summer days and cooler spring or autumn evenings.
I came to Ischia from NYC on my first ever solo trip. I was lucky to meet the owner Pietro on my first night, and ended up dining here on both my first and last night of my four night stay. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, the food is delicious, and the live music was such a nice surprise. my experience was somewhat mixed. On the positive side, the location is lovely, with a nice atmosphere that makes for a pleasant evening out. The restaurant has a cozy setting that feels welcoming, and the staff were polite and courteous throughout my visit. Service was a little slow at times, but everyone I interacted with was kind and tried to make the evening comfortable. The food itself was okay — nothing particularly bad, but also not the kind of meal that leaves a strong impression. Some dishes were nicely presented and tasted fresh, while others felt more average. It’s fair to say that the kitchen delivers solid, straightforward meals, but compared to the wide variety of excellent dining options on the island, it didn’t really stand out. The part that I do feel is important to highlight is the dessert. Unfortunately, the desserts were a real disappointment. While the main courses were passable, the sweets simply did not meet expectations at all. They tasted poorly prepared and were far below the quality you would hope for in a restaurant. I would honestly recommend avoiding the dessert menu entirely, as it does not add to the experience and may leave you ending the meal on a negative note. Overall, I would give this restaurant 3 stars. It’s not a bad choice if you are nearby and want a decent meal in a pleasant setting, but I would suggest skipping dessert and perhaps exploring other restaurants on the island if you’re looking for something memorable.

Fantastic - the staff where I was staying on the island recommended I visit, and I was greeted by the kind and good humoured Pietro. He (and all the staff) were friendly and helpful. The staff at Portobello Restaurant were incredibly welcoming, the cuisine was exceptional, and the setting had a magical ambiance. This dining experience in Ischia surpassed all others. To reach the restaurant, it is advisable to have your hotel arrange for their shuttle service as walking up the hill can be challenging and potentially dangerous. The location of Portobello is superb, with tables situated right by the water's edge.
I had an outstanding dining experience at this restaurant in Ischia! The food was absolutely delicious – everything was made with fresh ingredients and full of authentic Italian flavor. Another big highlight was the staff: extremely kind, friendly, and attentive. They made us feel right at home, always smiling and ready to help or recommend something from the menu. I rarely choose to eat on the main strip of destinations, however having caught a glimpse of the level of food being served I was curious. My curiosity was more than rewarded. Portobello is a proper, family run restaurant serving the kind of food that you remember for a long time. I’ve enjoyed a lot of pasta in my life, in-fact in my career I work across the premium food industry. That’s why I wasn’t expecting Portobello’s Mazara spaghetti dish to be possibly the best pasta dish I’ve ever eaten. Sweet Mazara red prawn meat, a silky tomato bisque, perfectly cooked pasta, the whole dish was balanced, moreish and unique. In my opinion this dish would shine in any restaurant in the world. All of the other dishes followed a similar level, with a smooth carbonara with good quality smoked pancetta shining through, moreish grilled breads, good wine and very fresh squid.

The food here was incredible and the setting is beautiful, especially compared to many of the restaurants nearby. The terrace offers great views of the port and the plants and flowers really make it a special setting. This was my favorite restaurant on Ischia.

Beautiful place in Ischia Porto, close to the sea. We had dinner with a nice view on the sunset over the harbour. Sea dishes are superb, as well as pasta. Booking suggested.
Marco A — Google review
Extremely horrible service!!! We came in and saw a nice empty seating area, nicely asked the staffs (two ladies) whether they were available. But they answered me rudely with a no. Totally understood that and took the other available table. However the staffs that served us still did not show a friendly attitude and far away from being hospitable. We decided to walk out (we still paid water bottle that we have opened). Best decision ever. Watch out of coming here if you wish to get a nice experience in Ischia. Many other restaurants around offer top notch service.

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and weren't disappointed. The other restaurants are by the harbour side, but this one is up some steps, which means you get a lovely view of the harbour. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful when choosing things from the menu. The food itself was delicious sea food and wasn't too pricey. Highly recommended it if you like good food, good wine and a great view of the harbour!

This place has great service and good prices for food and drinks. Would absolutely regiment this place if you want good food with a great view by the sea.

This place is really good if you want to dine literally on the beach, so for the atmosphere, this is a definite 5⭐️ especially when not too busy. As to the food, I felt this was good, but just average good, which needs to be considered in the frame that, in general, the standards of the cuisine is very high in this part of Italy. Great wines.
Stefano C — Google review
Bagno Tre Stelle is a true gem by the sea. The seafood pasta I had here was the best I’ve tasted in Europe – fresh, perfectly balanced, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is relaxed and authentic, and the service made the experience even better. A special thanks to Phillipo, the manager, who was very polite and welcoming. I would definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

A lovely restaurant which is very close to the seaside with a beautiful view of the sea. Food is very delicious, staff is very nice and friendly to us

It was our fourth time dining there this year and it was amazing as always. The only thing better than their food is the view. I highly recommend the mussels and crouton dish!
Michael W — Google review
Amazing food and service! We ate here every day in Ischia, and Ilario and Filippo are great hosts. We ate pasta, bongole, bruschetta, and a lot of other things, but the best has to be the rabbit which is famous here in Ischia. The cheese cake was really good as well, unlike anywhere else. It is a perfect spot on the beach where you can watch the sunset while drinking really good local wine. 10/10 experience, we would come back again. Many love from Serbia

Top beach location but food is average. The fish/crustaceans in my deep-fried shrimp/squid plate did not have the clean fresh taste that I expected.

Found this place with high ratings and drive on scooter from Forio. Do not miss this place! Dreamy beach location, five star food, gnocchi florrentina, peppered mussels and lemon sorbet was incredible… the perfect spot for lunch! Highly recommend!

Ristorante Pizzeria Da Umberto is a long-standing family-run establishment on the picturesque island of Ischia. Known for their emphasis on locally sourced vegetables, this restaurant offers a wide range of delicious dishes suitable for both vegetarians and vegans. Their menu includes staples such as pasta, pizza, espresso, gelato, cornettos, and sfogliatelle. While these items are usually reliable choices, it's important to note that occasional disappointments can occur with some dishes.
My wife and I had lunch here today. We both had a pizza, which we both loved. Very reasonable price. Paying €35 for 2 pizzas and drinks. The staff were very friendly and attentive. There were a few tables occupied around us but it was a lovely atmosphere, especially just watching the world go by. Would love to go again and probably will before we leave Ischia.

I ordered lasagna, as I started to eat I found it to be very cold in the centre. Obviously straight from the fridge and popped in the microwave. I sent it back but not a word of apology from the staff. I received a replacement which seemed to have been microwaved to a temperature akin to the surface of the sun and was almost completely devoid of any form of meat. After I had finished I noticed a large crack in the bowl which judging by the colour must have been there for some time. A perfect breeding pIace for bacteria especially given the temperature of the first food offering. Basic food hygiene. I pointed this out to the waiter who just didn't seem to care. The place looks okay on the outside but is a typical tourist trap that dishes up bland badly prepared food to tourists who will never be back. Avoid this place I'm sure there will be better. The reply from the restaurant is nonsense who makes cracked tableware. My wife eating her meal has nothing to do with the state of my meal !!!!

The views from the roof top are beautiful. The food unfortunately was not the best. We tried the steak and it was not cooked all the way through, we asked if this could be done a little more, but due to waiting our chips went cold and when the steak came back it was awful. They literally reheated the steak and bought it back. Just don't have the steak.

Great spot on the strip to have a nice dinner. Food was a little salty but otherwise very nice. We ordered quite a bit of food. Pasta was done very well.
Roger G — Google review
Friendly service which unfortunately doesn’t compensate for the bad food. Everything seemed to have been made with cheap, tasteless ingredients. Pasta with mussels and tomatoes contained about 10 mussel shells of which 3 were empty and 2 were shut tight (therefore not edible). Didn’t leave much for the tastebuds except pretty plain spaghetti with little to no garlic, a mere smidgen of olive oil and a couple of little tomatoes. Asking for more oil, pepper and salt resulted in a basket of pre-packaged olive oil in a 1-portion plastic sachet. Same for the salt and pepper. Not very environmentally friendly, nor a particularly good sign for the food. It was so bland. Why not put out some salt and pepper mills and a nice bottle of olive oil? This is Italy! Salad came without any dressing/oil too. All in all a culinary disappointment. Not cheap either. But the staff were very friendly.

Wonderful fresh food and great family service. I’m only sorry it’s too cold to have the terrace open view. Very grateful to the Lady who recommended me to come here!

Had lunch here. Ordered a carbonara and a bolognese. Bread was put on the table in a basket. It contained 3 pieces of baguette which we didn’t touch. My carbonara was without doubt the worst I’ve EVER tasted. The tiny bits of bacon, so few, were more fat than meat. The bolognaise was equally tasteless. We had two Aperol Spritz which were very weak. When we asked for the bill we had been charged 7 Euros for the bread Total 55 Euros. Needless to say we didn’t leave a tip. Such a shame because we had a drink at a bar on the beach which served drinks and snacks and was far nicer! We should have stayed there ! AVOID !
Denise R — Google review
Had an absolutely wonderful meal here! Got the 60e set menu and wasn't even charged any extra for another glass of wine or limoncello. Great family restaurant vibes. Strongly recommended
Geordie — Google review
the food here is really good, especially the lemon pasta which is very unique. Been here two years in a row and is an amazing location for sunset dinner. However, the service is really odd. The staff are not attentive once your food has arrived, so it is very hard to ask for more drinks or any dessert. Also, the old man with white hat that runs the place is good at the start of your reservation, but then very pushy at the end about service not being included and then expecting a tip. This is not very common in Italy, especially as the service was quite poor overall.
Meg W — Google review
This restaurant was a disappointment. First they had trouble understanding our order. Then I didn’t get the side dish I ordered. The fish tartar contained a lot of small pieces of bones. The food was okay, not more. When we had finished we asked to pay and waited. After 15 minutes we asked another waiter (the boss) for the check. Still nothing happened. We had to ask a third person and after that it took ten more minutes before we could pay. The check contained the side order I never received! This place need to improve their service.

Loved the Neapolitan pizza here, such a simple pizza but so flavourful with garlic and herbs, cooked to perfection. Service could’ve been better :) The view is fab though!!! One of the best locations in Ischia for a dinner with a view.

At the very end of a seaside street full of restaurants, you find this lovely terrace where you can enjoy the sea in a calm atmosphere. That’s the must of the place. And the friendly service. And the food too, of course :) P.S. Don’t miss the house wine with peaches. Expensive but very charming.

We had lunch here and we asked for the fresh fish that had been caught that day and we wanted the most of it raw and ceviche, then followed by some cooked fish dishes too! It was all excellent, we paired a couple of different white wines with our feast and the setting was perfect, the food was perfect, the company was fabulous and we received excellent service and a memory to last a life time! The breads were sensational!

What can I say other than this is honestly the best restaurant in Ischia! So good we went twice! Coming from Australia and with kids sometimes the vibe in restaurants is different to us tourists compared to the locals but not at this place! From the amazing and beautifully presented food - their seafood is phenomenal and pasta dishes superb - to the welcoming and friendly owner and his father and all the staff who go out of their way to make sure you are having a great time. The location is right on the water and the views are just beautiful. They take great pride in their food and hospitality and being a family run establishment you know it's going to be top quality. If you are looking for amazing food and a great night out please don't hesitate! Fantastic with kids also!

Had an unforgettable lunch at Cap e Fierr. The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Service was attentive and welcoming throughout the meal. After lunch, the experience got even better: the restaurant is right on the beach, and the owners kindly set up chairs and an umbrella, allowing us to spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing by the water. A perfect combination of great food, warm hospitality, and a stunning seaside setting. Highly recommended.

Service, food and atmosphere were amazing! It was a really nice touch that servers told us if there is anything else that’s not on the menu that we would like to try, to let them know, and they will make it for us. The menu was very well curated, so there was no need to ask for anything different. Definitely worth a visit!

We only stayed 1 night so only had breakfast. The room was lovely, spacious, fantastic queen size bed with the softest pillows, I had an amazing sleep. Breakfast was great, lots of choice of food, cooked, cold, fresh fruits, cereals and pastries. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Would stay here again.

Sophisticated nuanced perfection. The best meal by far we had in Ischia.
Geoff D — Google review
While the atmosphere is great because the beach is right there in front of you. The owner pushes food you did not even order and makes you believe he wants you to try a little. He keeps telling you that he wants you to ‘try’ something and then the bill comes with an amount that does not match the order. And watch out for portions, it is a sample of what you see on the menu. Very dishonest restaurant practice and it does not reflect the warmth and Hines of people in southern Italy.

Whenever we see uni pasta (sea urchin pasta) on the menu, it’s a must order for us. The fiery host/server told us that theirs was especially creamy, and it did not disappoint! It was creamy, savory, umami, delicious! The server was also energetic and friendly, and super fun to talk to. The atmosphere was quiet and beautiful. Must try in Ischia!

We loved it so much that we returned for dinner hours after having lunch! Every bite of food was delectable - the fish is SO fresh it's noticeable with every bite. Some of the best octopus we have had, delicious wines. I'm allergic to dairy so they made me a special dairy-free dessert without asking when we returned for dinner. Such a wonderful place! And if you love cats, they have many :)

Perfect place for our first dinner in Italy. We had the tuna carpaccio (very fresh!) and mussels (Excellent with a little kick!). My husband had the squid ink pasta (Very good) and I had the Sea Urchin pasta which was incredible, such a light but pure flavor! Would return!

An unforgettable culinary experience in Ischia! Il Ricci Officina del Gusto is a charming family-run restaurant with a beautiful story — founded by the grandparents of the current chef, and today his mother and aunt warmly serve guests at the tables. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, and the menu even includes a heartfelt dedication to the grandparents, which truly touched me. Highly recommended! ❤️

The extraordinary food the excellent and friendly team, every Friday/Saturday night with music entertainment. Can’t wait to our 2026 summer holidays to arrive to be there on the island and be dining over the I Ricci 🥰

Unassuming location, however that's not something the owners have much control over. The service was was wonderful! I ordered fish of the day which was delicious ( the grilled fish skin a little bitter but not overly so). My lady ordered pistachio pasta and liked it, especially the shrimp. I recommend visiting this place, perfectly adequate price to quality ratio. Very affordable house wine was a big plus!

Cute local family-run spot - I felt like grilled vegetables that night and and the server accommodated me by adding some delicious parmesan on the fresh arugula salad. Seemed like the fish dishes were nice, I would go back to try. Good bread and red Ischian wine - I accidentally knocked over and spilled/broke the glass and felt so bad about it, but they were incredibly kind and brought me another one as soon as they swept it up. Very friendly people!
