Just one word- Amazing. it is out of main highways , but must to visit. is one of the most important centers of the Italian Renaissance, whose architectural legacy it still fully preserves (is UNESCO World Heritage Site). It is home to one of the oldest and most important universities in Europe, founded in 1506.
Wow. What a stunning place. Cannot recommend it enough. Gorgeous fortress. Beautiful churches throughout. Picturesque with incredible views. And a delicious little gelato place. Wow. We didn’t go inside the fortress - we just wandered around and took in the beauty. Highly recommend the trip.
Long time wanted to visit Urbino and finally managed today. Despite heavy rainfall I felt in love with this unique and immensely charming place. Palazzo Ducale and National Museum of Marche are stunning. I wrote some comments and complains of bareness in most of rooms. But masterpieces on display are more than enough to compensate. Highly recommended.
The Castle of the Dukes of Urbino is enveloped in an atmosphere of mysticism and grandeur, as if it had emerged from the pages of a centuries-old legend. Its grandiose walls welcome guests with exquisite beauty, as if inviting them to explore the secrets of the past. Once inside, you are immersed in majestic halls adorned with exquisite works of art, each whispering its unique story. The majestic halls and incomparable gardens create a unique atmosphere, as if immersing you in a fairy tale world. A visit to the Castle of the Dukes of Urbino is not just an excursion, it is an encounter with grandeur and beauty that will leave unforgettable impressions for a lifetime.
Interesting spaces, visited on the first Sunday of the month when entrance is free
Amazing experience to visit this gigantic palace. The art works are breathtaking as are the architectural features. Don't miss the absolutely unique inlaid doors, such artistry.
Drove from Ravenna through hills and beautiful road. Structure located over the hills with having a good overview on the area around. Paid parking is provided in the front and back, which back is bigger and more organized. Facility presenting an art belonged to Renaissance. It is big museum with many paintings, curved stones, carpets, statues and dishes in different stories. Not only a palace, but also a protected city on the hills with narrow alleys with so many steps. At least consider 2 to 4 hours to see the palace and the city. If you rely on English communication, Good luck!
Majestic structure, impressive from outside. It's worth a visit, there is an interesting collection of paintings and ceramics inside. More impressive from outside than inside but definitively worth 2 hours visit, while strolling around the beautiful Urbino.

Overwhelmingly beautiful... The hunting charm of the renaissance is still felt in every corner, every stone and every painting. Photos, videos and pets are not allowed. The ticket costs 4€ and there is an affordable souvenir shop in the RDC.
It does not matter if you don't have a doctorate in Arts, you will appreciate this place, the name and the other worldly ability of this painter and his father. Please visit and get a real feel for the artist.
Leaves a lot to be desired. If you expect to see any works by Raphael, you will be disappointed. There are many other works displayed but not much is offered in the way of explanation and half of them are unlabelled anyway. There are several empty shelves so there is possibly more to see in the tourist season. I would recommend a visit if you are an admirer of the artist and know what to look for. The museum bookshop is well-stocked but virtually only has Italian literature. The entrance fee is 4€.
Not much original work left, mostly copies, the house itself is nice.
We didn't enter the house, but we noticed something strange. During the day, there is a 'plate' to indicate that this is the birth house of the famous painter. In the evening, the 'plate' is gone. Maybe some fans see it as a collector's item? If you believe this review is useful, then please 'like' it.
This is a private museum, so it's won't contain too many real work, most work is copy. entrance fee for 3.5 euro, well, personaly I think it's a little bit high consider the content. But in a way, I think it's worth this value since you can experience the track of young artist, and you won't miss the fresco made by Raffaello when he was 14
You feel the medieval atmosphere in this house. You can wander from one room to another and imagine how families lived here, cooked food, met friends. I highly recommend this place if you want to get this feeling.
Interesting place, worth seeing if you are nearby. Admission is € 3,50. Several works of art by several famous artists including Raffaello

Impressive very antique fresco's, a must see.
Beautiful old church. The oratory is best known for its late Gothic style fresco cycle (1416) by the brothers Lorenzo and Jacopo Salimbeni. Brothers Lorenzo Salimbeni (1374-c1418) and Jacopo Salimbeni (c.1370/80 - after 1426) were Italian medieval painters representative of International Gothic style.
Never miss this small place, fantastic fresco
Spettacolo, vale molto a vedere. A small pray church but they are absolutely worth to visit

Beautiful museum and palace must visit if in Urbino. The view from the top of the tower is breathtaking! With a Raphael painting too!
Great middleages and reinassence art collection and beautiful palace
Excellent collection of art and furniture in the Palazzo Ducale di Urbino that houses the National Museum of the Marche. As noted before Federico Montefeltro gathered together a collection of art that rivaled those in Florence and Siena. Well preserved pieces in this huge palazzo and I'm sorry I can't find the picture of the Duchess's prayer room, but it was spectacular. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Umbria or northen Marche.
Lovely renaissance art collection, set in the historic ducal palace with splendid views of the surrounding countryside. Visited during a quiet period and spent about 90 minutes to walk around the exhibition.
A beautiful city full of history
Some decent exhibits in a fabulous building but there is inadequate signage so that whilst exhibition rooms are theoretically numbered there is no indication which room is which. Hence it's possible to waste a lot of time trying to find exhibits of interest. There are people sat in chairs in each room who appear to be there to provide information but our experience was that in the main they knew even less than we did. Won't be returning.
It's a great collection of art! Must to see and enjoy
Very interesting and beautiful place! A lot old art of works. Palace impressed, because of its beauty and design. Very polite stuff.

Urbino is a beautiful medieval city. My wife and I chose it for our stay during the World Cup in Pesaro. Urbino is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cathedral in Urbino is dedicated to the Assumption of Mary. A beautiful building of historical value.
Beautiful church with interesting things that you can light up
Beautiful, quiet, clean, peaceful, elegant- and does bring appreciation for God Nd the Labour to make this beautiful building.
A majestic and elegant church in a beautiful small town.
Surprisingly bright inside and in contrast with the surrounding brick building outside.

A lovely park with a stunning view of the castle.
Must see! Best visata in Urbino. It is very calm and peaceful here, the rumour from cars does not reach here. The best thing is to make a picnic here. It is free entry, two entrances.
Beautiful park with fantastic views out across the rooftops of Urbino.
Nice view on the city. Peaceful and not too crowdy...
The park is very small. It has a playground for children and amazing views from the top of the hill. Great place to sit down and relax after walking in town. .
Panoramic point of view. A Must if you're in Urbino. There's a bar if you want to drink something. Perfect selfie point

Good landscape... Cozy view ✨️
I consider it Urbino's best viewpoint: both the valley and the town itself can be admired. Definitely a must see place.
Amazing panoramic view of the hills of Urbino and also the Duomo. The fortress is also a beautiful sight.

Boy this place is amazing. Not easy as such to get to but it was worth it. The frescoes and art work are excellent and you can feel the history everywhere you walk and cast your eyes. Please visit these places.
(Translated by Google) In one of those streets of Urbino, where walking on stone slabs is deeply evocative, you may happen to come across that wonder that the human eye does not know and cannot describe other than admiring in silence and discretion which is called the oratory of a brotherhood. In the circumstance, the traveller, finding himself before his gaze the building which houses the oratory of San Giuseppe, did nothing but enter the building, pay a cumulative ticket which also allowed him to visit the other oratory located on the same street, dedicated to the Baptist and climb a staircase to access the treasure chest in which the beauty, the enchantment, the magnificence of the works of art present in the rooms shone in all its splendor. Brandani's nativity scene, the church, the sacristy and the wedding chapel are the jewels that the oratory places available to the gaze of the traveler visitor who, admired by this sight, can only be delighted with joy.

Home to important confraternities of Urbino, they are certainly worth a visit, also considering the fact that the cumulative ticket costs 5 euros.
(Translated by Google) The Oratory of San Giuseppe, located a short distance from that of San Giovanni, is the seat of a confraternity built in 1515, thanks to the noble Albani family from Urbino, who made it one of the richest churches in Urbino. After climbing the entrance steps, on the right you enter the chapel of the Nativity scene created by Federico Brandani between 1545-50. The rectangular space is covered in pumice stone and tuff, whose scenic effect recreates the setting of a cave. The Nativity scene is made of plaster with life-size figures. In the representation, under a simple hut, the Virgin participates in the adoration of the shepherds, while the ox and the donkey, masterfully modeled, warm Baby Jesus. Sitting on the ground and slightly apart, is Saint Joseph absorbed in deep meditation. The church itself is of modest height, sumptuously decorated on the walls, in the vault and in the apse basin, by Carlo Roncalli. The high altar is made of fine marbles and, above it, there is a large marble aedicule, donated by Pope Clement XI in 1732. It has two columns in red porphyry, from the Pantheon, and in the center it houses a statue depicting Saint Joseph, from the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano. To the right of the altar there is a Madonna with Child. In the sacristy you can admire a wooden cabinet painted with landscape views by Alessio De Marchis, a splendid example of furniture from the Marche region. Seduto a terra e leggermente in disparte, sta San Giuseppe assorto in profonda meditazione.

(Translated by Google) The Oratory, still today the seat of the San Giuseppe brotherhood, was built between 1,503 and 1,515 thanks to the financial support of Duke Guidobaldo da Montefeltro and his wife Elisabetta Gonzaga. Due to the strong humidity present in the rooms, the San Giuseppe Oratory was completely renovated between 1,682 and 1,689. The distance that separates the Oratory of San Giovanni Battista and the Oratory of San Giuseppe is reduced to a few meters and the necessary entrance ticket (5 euros per person well spent) is unique. Tip: leave your car at the convenient and economical Mercatale car park and prepare for a not too demanding uphill road. Less spectacular than the other, it nevertheless presents some very interesting works: primarily the life-size stucco nativity scene by Federico Brandani, but also the marble altar with the replica of Raphael's "Marriage of the Virgin" and the wooden wardrobe painting by Alessio De Marchis. The church itself is remarkable with its frescoes and decorations. Well worth a visit if you are in Urbino. It is free to enter and obviously maintained by volunteers. An oasis in the centre of the beauty of Urbino
Not the biggest garden, but interesting. Has a large collection of Apothecary plants. Also, a quiet place away from the hustle & bustle of the main town. Worth a visit if you're passing by.
Beautiful and informative. My 2 year old son loved running around the narrow passageways and looking for little lizards. I learned so much about the history, origins, and medical uses of so many plants. Very lovely and highly recommended for all ages.
Not open now! If the inside is as nice as the outside, it is worth more than Average (3stars)
Thoroughly unpleasant racist spinster on reception with an obvious loathing for tourists. Whilst she was happy to let in an Italian couple with a dog, we were not granted entrance. Why they should employ such an anti social, vile and rude women, God only knows. Well not worth the visit!!
It is good, actually. Nice tubers.
Nice botanical garden. You can take beautiful pictures there and children love the information

(Translated by Google) The Museum is located on the right side of the Cathedral and was officially created in 1964. The visit is divided into 7 rooms plus the Old and New Sacristies, which unfortunately were not open at the time of my presence. Both painter's works and liturgical furnishings and sacred vestments are on display. On the left side of the Cathedral there is the Oratory of the Grotto, which can be visited with the same ticket costing €5. (Translated by Google) Walking in the heart of the historic center, in front of the Palazzo Ducale, I entered the Church of San Domenico, one of the most important religious buildings in Urbino. Built in the 14th century and remodeled in the 17th century, it is striking for its Gothic facade in white stone, decorated with a large portal and an elegant rose window. The interior, more sober, houses valuable works of art, including frescoes and paintings from the Marche school. Well-preserved Gothic-Renaissance architecture Central and scenic location Intimate and silent atmosphere Can only be visited at certain times or during religious events Rather bare interior compared to other Italian churches Ideal for: Lovers of sacred art, history and the Urbino Renaissance A sober and harmonious jewel in the heart of Urbino. Some of the finest wines & hospitality in the region. The tasting was as delicious as it was informative & the ethos of this family run winery is totally on point.
We visited Cantina Terracruda the night before our wedding in Fossombrone, as all of our wine had been specially chosen from their vineyard. It was such a special and memorable experience. From the start, the communication via email was warm, responsive, and helpful throughout the year, and they even kindly agreed to open early just for us. When we arrived, we were greeted with a genuinely warm welcome from the family owners, along with two very friendly spaniels who reminded us of our own dog back home! The owner was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable, and he gave us a private hour long tour through various vineyards, offering stunning views and a wonderfully informative insight into their work, all in brilliant English. His enthusiasm for the land, the grapes, and their family run business was wonderful to see. We then explored the winery and production, before sitting in the sunshine in their lovely courtyard to taste 12 different wines, paired with delicious antipasti, fresh bread, and olive oil. Each wine was distinctive and we were guided through them with explanations and written tasting notes. It was the most extensive and engaging tasting we’ve ever done! We were having such a lovely time that we couldn’t resist purchasing a bottle of our wedding wine, Boccalino, to enjoy in the garden overlooking the rolling countryside. The accommodation was also fantastic - spacious, clean, and charming, with access to a variety of lovely gardens, seating areas, and a large pool. It was the ideal place to relax and finish our final wedding preparations. For the quality of the wine, the setting, and the service, we felt it was an absolute bargain. It should have cost double! We couldn’t recommend Cantina Terracruda more highly and would love to return in the future. We’ll definitely be in touch to see about shipping some wine to the UK! Grazie mille to the entire Terracruda team for such a memorable experience.
Had an amazing tasting experience with the Itineris project. Luca was extremely knowledgeable about the wines and was very welcoming. The place is stunning, surrounded by beautiful hills. We tasted several types of wine produced by Terracruda, including their three versions of Bianchello, two ancient grapes Incrocio Bruni 54 & Garofanata, and their Spumanti. Would highly recommend a visit if in Le Marche.
We enjoyed a very informative wine tasting session. Panoramic views and healthy well run organic vineyard. Hosts are very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. Eleanora who did our presentation was both knowledgeable and friendly. We tried approximately 12 different wines with breads, cheeses & meats to complement the wines. Absolutely brilliant session, great value and highly recommended. Very reasonably priced high quality wines. You should definitely take the time to visit this spectacular place
Great place for tasting perfect wine and celebrate birthday
This is a fabulous B&B with 4 apartments and a terrific swimming pool attached for the residents use. The views are breathtaking and within easy reach of the Adriatic coast if you want a day at the beach. San Marino is 75 mins away, Rimini about 55 mins away and Numana where you can join a guided tour of.tye Turtle release at the Two sisters beach. Onsite @ Terracuda Cantina there is a winery and shop for thos partial to award winning local wines. Maria, Luca, Carlos & Leonora all made the stay a great break. Everything in the area is well priced and the wine is available on site. Highly recommended to stay here, if not for you then at least arrange a wine tasting tour ( about 9 wines with some cheese, bread and meats ) the grounds, the factory and the shop.
Lovely staff and very enthusiastic and interesting explanations about the origin of the wines. We are looking forward to spread the word about the great wines we tasted and bought at this place.
Charming winery and fields just outside of Fratte Rosa. The tasting room has a gorgeous, breath-taking view of the surroundings and pool. The owner took us to the processing room and fields to walk among the grapevines. I'd love to go back as a guest!

If you were not imported by those places then I suggest that you do not have a pulse. Everything that you thought Italian hilltop fortresses were or should be like come true in this place. It is simply amazing but you need to not be afraid of young people, this is a university city and hills. And if you are, do visit this place anyway. Your soul will thank you. And seek out the surprise Botanic gardens too.
The most wonderful place to relax.
It's a great place, where is situated the university, and the most famous attractions from Urbino. In Christmas time were put decorations, and trees around all the historic centre for a beautiful Christmas holiday experience
The ancient town of Urbino has been included since 1998 in the UNESCO world heritage list. It is actually a small town for today's standards, but it is nevertheless an important one, because of its history, mostly related to the Renaissance and to relationships with the surrounding regions, most notably Tuscany. In these times the city expressed also a Pope. Urbino is also the hometown of the world famous painter Raffaello Sanzio. Additionally, and most related to nowadays, Urbino is a renowned university city, where many students flock from other Italian regions and even from abroad. Both features of the city, its history and its university, make Urbino an expensive city, where finding a home is not easy for everyone.
After having spent the university years, coming back is always a pleasure. every wall is a piece of history, every street a new discovery. Do not stop in the main passages too much time because even the narrowest street hides some unique and rare work of art. just a fantastic city.
Lovely historic square after our uphill walk. Very atmospheric yet empty on Saturday evening.
Beautiful city in which you can view from miles away when entering the city center. So many restaurants and stores to visit. Many museums as well.
Very nice city. Intersting. Clean. Some historic places.
