Very beautiful nature, lots of space for walking and picnic. From my point of view it's not fair not to be included in Italy's tourist spot. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to get there without a car. Convenient if you have your own car, there is room for parking. Not very many places to eat and all cafes are not open till the end of the day.
Rickety old cable car took us up to top of mount faito standing only - cable car is accessible at end of train station platform to be fair if the weather had been clear the views would have been amazing there is 2 small restaurants and toilets at top bus down was something else very narrow roads very fast driving
Get away from the hot weather of the city - we had 22 degrees and there was 32 in the city. Nice walk in the woods in the shade, beautiful views on the mount Vesuvio and the city.
Great place to visit with staying in Castellammare di Stabia. Funicular goes up every 20 min., round trip costs 8 eur. per person. View point is 10-15 min. walk, also there's few bars if you want to grab a drink or snacks.
Beautiful hiking trail with certain level of difficulty but manageable in general. Entrance to the trail is convenient to access via a cable car ride from Castemarre di stabia train station.
Mount Faito is a mountain that is part of the mountain chain of the Lattari mountains: 1,131 meters high, has access from both Castellammare di Stabia and Vico Equense and can also be reached by the cable car of the same name, managed by the Autonomous Authority Volturno, from the station of Castellammare di Stabia.
One of my favorite days during my two week Italy trip was the day spent taking the cable car, talking to Nicola (the owner of the bar connected to the Cable Car area) about where to hike and eating his delicious food and drinks, hiking along the road there, reaching the church and great view, hiking back through the forest, ending with a few more snacks and drinks and taking the cable car back to town.
Amazing path, great views !

One of My Favorite Seaside Escapes near Vico Equense Just at the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, right before entering Vico Equense in the province of Naples, you’ll find several charming seaside resorts — and Scraio Mare is definitely one of my favorites. While the nearby beaches like Bikini and Capo La Gala are more famous, I keep coming back to Scraio for a few very specific reasons. The overall atmosphere is refined and never overcrowded. The number of loungers is limited, which makes the experience feel more relaxed and exclusive. The staff is always kind and professional, and the beach itself — although relatively small and rocky — is pristine and scenic. One of the highlights is the natural layout of the sea: the central area is like a natural swimming pool, enclosed by rocks, while on the sides you can swim into the open sea. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the presence of a cold sulfur spring that flows directly into the sea. This creates a unique hot-and-cold contrast, where icy fresh water meets warm sea currents — something I’ve never experienced elsewhere in the area. Prices are fair for the quality offered. A day with two loungers and an umbrella costs around €60, and parking is €7 extra — but everything is very close and well organized. There are two food options: a more casual bistro and a proper restaurant upstairs. Both serve high-quality dishes with a good selection of wines and prosecco. Some menu items are slightly above average in price, but justified by the setting and quality. I recommend going during the week, as weekends tend to be quite crowded (as is common around the Amalfi Coast). But midweek, it’s peaceful and perfect for a relaxing day by the sea. Scraio has been around forever — my aunts used to come here back in the day, and they’re now in their 80s. It even had its own stop on the old Circumvesuviana railway line. There’s also a beautiful hotel above (though run separately), adding to the historic charm of the place. So if you’re in the area — especially in early summer — treat yourself to a day at Scraio Mare. It’s a slice of local history and a truly unique coastal experience.
Beautiful place but expensive and really smelly ☹️Sunbed costs you 20€ per face, umbrella 10€ and so on. Beer cost ca 4€.
Top of the line private beach with a matching price. Beautiful well protected bays, unique sweet water steam, nicely built area. Expensive? Yes, but you get a a treat sometimes.
Very nice place, clean and cosy, there is a parking&restorant too....we had one unpleasent moment with a rude female manager, who alaud her self to interfere in personal phone call, asking for silent, even though beach is empty and there is no "no phone " sign .
Nice spot to swim and eat, great view!
Nice beach but 40€ for 2 sun beds is over the top! Plus 5€ parking if you want an umbrella that will cost you 10€ more….. However it is clean and you have showers and changing rooms.
Three stars only for the beautiful location, but of course this is only a part of the overall experience. The entrance fee is excessively higher than the average (all inclusive price is around 25€!!!) and the same applies to the restaurant, without any special merits. Staff and property are generally quite rude as well.
The service was horrible. Very small portions. Stratospheric prices. The staff is confused and does not speak any major foreign languages except Italian. For a green salad, it took more than an hour to have it. The excuse: something was lost in translation between the waitress and the kitchen. Besides all, they do not really care about apologizing to customers for their wrongdoing. Too bad!

And just like that it was over! Salvatore and I would like to thank the IL Bikini Family for sharing their piece of heaven with us. The night was all that and more!!! On August 2, 2024, my husband and I exchanged vows in front of fifty- five beloved friends and family members in a story book setting. Pictures or not, the memories will last forever for it was truly an extraordinary experience. IL bikini property speaks for itself in unbelievable beauty of rocky cliffs, wavering sea views and the perfect setting for the sun to kiss the earth before disappearing only to set the stage for a black galaxy of stars. We laughed, ate, drank and danced the night away. Our guests felt blessed and shared countless times what an incredible evening they had. To IL Bikini's yin and yang - Roberta and Ornella who are both very different only to complement one another in the end!! These ladies created a beautiful setting, ensuring that all the little details we requested came to life. Thank you for sharing our vision and making it your own. The flowers were a captivating touch that dressed the environment to perfection. The food was exquisite in flavor, variety and the spaghetti vongole was to die for. Thank you for all your hard work, time, patience and creativity in making this event a truly memorable one for us and our guests. All the best, Salvatore and Danielle Russo
Pleasantly surprised. Beautiful and comfortable private beach for ultimate relaxation. The price for sunbeds aren't cheap but we had a very chilled great day. Drinks and food from the bar we're surprisingly very reasonably priced. Lads could have been a bit happier on arrival, they seemed annoyed we were there. Downside - you don't get a towel, have to rent for €5. Note that you will be disappointed if expecting Ibiza beach club vibes as there is no music or anything else there to do.
The quality of the beach doesn't reflect the price, which is starting from 60 euro for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella. The view is nice though and the water is crystal clean. Also don't expect that the bus will arrive on schedule (the matter of fact at all).
I felt very uncomfortable during my visit because I noticed people secretly taking photos of women. This made me feel unsafe. I would advise visitors, especially women, to be cautious.
Fantastic restaurant by the beach! Great food good service! Parking guy charged us 5euros which I think is a bit much. Would come back to the restaurant!
I'll write this review as I have read some bad ones about this place, however our experience was great today 8/8/22, I booked up online for a €7 deposit and yes it is quite expensive (€70 for two sunbeds and an umbrella on the beach) and we needed four in total as the children are 18 and 14 so not little, so €140, ouch. but we arrived around 1015 and the parking guys pointed is to the spaces across the road, not a problem, unless you get there early you probably won't be able to park inside the complex but the parking across the road is plenty big enough, they gave us a ticket and said you need to pay at the reception the €5 for parkong, no problems, they were kind enough to speak English as my Italian is very poor. The guy on the reception desk was polite, told us we need to pass the tickets to the guy on the beach, again when we got to the beach, we were met by another.member of staff, I can't remember his name but he was extremely polite, he actually apologized for not speaking English to me, I had to apologize back for not speaking Italian, I said I'm in Italy I should try harder, he was most helpful. Beach was clean, sea was warm, albeit a pain to walk on without flip flops or aqua shoes (definitely think of getting those if you go to the beach 😉) showers nearby and a changing room to use. We ate from the café and the 'toast' and 'maxi toast' were nice, 3 ice creams were not to badly priced all together €14 Lunchtime we had the meatballs, chicken salad and club Sandwich three cokes and three big waters, €61 which again is pretty high but knowing it was a beach club it was ok. Again the lady behind the counter explained all the dishes to us which was really good of her. We were there about 6 hours I guess and yes it was kinda pricey BUT the staff were great and the facilities beds/toilets/changing area were all very clean and tidy, to be honest we wished we had found the place sooner in our holiday, not at the end. NICE PLACE, GREAT STAFF, GREAT FACILITIES 👌🏻👍🏻
A nice beach resort, friendly staff. 2 beds and 1 umbrella cost 60€ and 5€ for parking. You have free shower and clean toilettes.
Great beach! I had a glass of wine in local bar! Great music and atmosphere!♥️

Nice lido/bagno. Spacious, clean water, good facilities, and reasonable prices. Of course, umbrellas and sunbeds have their own charges: €45 for three sunbeds and one umbrella. However, we loved it and did not regret spending the day there. The food selection is simple but offers good portion sizes and quality. Lovely crowd of all ages and backgrounds. Friendly crew.
Spent a fun day here, a little expensive but worth it, and the ability to book specific chairs online was great. Good food and wine for lunch, and everyone there seemed Italian, so it felt like a very authentic experience. Be prepared for cold water though, but it was refreshing with the high temperature.
Really nice place 10 minutes away from Sorrento by train. Price was 35 euros for 2 sunbeds and a parasol. Facilities are top notch, lots of showers and clean bathrooms. Staff is also very friendly and speaks English. Restaurant prices were reasonable and food was good. Will definitely go back!
Great beach club, very exlusive with pretty people, great food, great service !!. Price is 25 euro per seat, you should reserve in advance. Parking is available 15-20 euro per day
One of the best lido in Vico Equense, Sorrento. The lido has a really nice restaurant and bar and great spotless facilities. The staff is very attentive and helpful. Extra controls and cleaning has been put in place due to COVID-19 with temperatures checks at the entrance. The bar offers a great selection of food and drinks and the restaurant quality is great. I will dedicate go back and I highly recommend it.
Experience ruined by an incredibly rude staff member at the bar/restaurant today who verbally abused my partner (when I was not there) and then refused to apologise. A complete coward. Beware of this venue as a foreign visitor, unfortunately the tide of anti-tourism has reached this spot. To clarify response below, there is absolutely no mistake in terms of which business this was (anticobagno.it)
Was really hoping there was a bar/restaurant at the bottom of this super long hill..and there was. Actually a bunch of them. This place was pretty crowded. But my gf and I were able to get a seat near the bar and with a water view (every seat has a water view) very quickly. Got the gnocchi (A, exactly what I wanted, cheesy, tomato saucy goodness), and fried calamari/squid (B+, lightly fried, no marinara sauce. My gf prefered this to the gnocchi. We actually switched plates). And two grande beers. 30 euro. Awesome views. We should have gone swimming.
Great beach in Vico Equense. We didn't eat here but had a few beers and rented a few sun beds. We were actually there quite late in the day and the nice owners let us in for free and even gave us a shuttle back to the top of the hill. Beautiful place to spend the day in Vico.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Castle is perfectly situated, down quiet side street, a stones throw from Vico centre. Around a 7 minute walk from the Circusuviana railway station, linking Naples to Sorrento and all that's in between. Boat excursions are available from Seiano harbour just a short walk away. The pool was perfect and well attended, and the private beach was beautiful, really well situated, with some great snorkeling. We will definitely return.
This place is wonderful! Walkable to various restaurants and the shore. Great views. Feels secluded and is quiet even though in town.
This is the most beautiful place, now we had it virtually to ourselves for we went in late September. The views are breath taking, weather good yes it rained but early morning.
The Castello Giusso is private appartments. The whole area is secured and not open to tourists even if tours guide recommand it as an essential visit in Vico Equense! Decieving false publicity!
Beautiful old castle. Stayed for a few days in early January. Short stroll into the town. Beautiful views.
Amazing wedding venue! If you are looking for an Italian fairytale wedding location this is it.

Didn’t go inside and it was not open, but the church has a very interesting and impressive door. Overlooking the cliff and sea view.
A hidden gem. A stunning view of the ocean in front, while quiet, cool, and peaceful inside the church.
Beautiful church and spectacular view. Here are three wedding ceremones per day and three years waiting list.
The church itself was a marvel, but it was the harmony of its grounds, the breathtaking view from the front steps, and the unexpected art exhibit that made this visit one of the most divine experiences of my life.
Beautiful peaceful place
Lovely view while we were there they had a classical music concert playing on a wide screen
If visiting Amalfi Coast, don't forget to visit Vico Equense, a dramatic scenery, a town at the edge of a cliff. Unmissable.

We went on a rainy day, travelling from Sorrento 9km away. We we're pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem in a former convent. We were quite lucky it was slow, as the director was extremely welcoming, and provided the perfect tour of the highlights of the museum. Fascinating history of the famous finds housed within, some more than 350M years old!
Fascinating collection and display of minerals and fossils from around the world, including a nice section displaying many of the different forms of rocks from nearby Vesuvius. Our experience was made all the more pleasant by one of the staff who gave a tour of the collection. His enthusiasm as he took us around made this visit the highlight of our day.
One of the staff showed us around and he was so so passionate and excited to talk about the minerals/fossils in the museum. It's definitely a hidden gem of gallery, and there's a ton of history to learn from it as well. I highly recommend this place.
Though it's small, it has some great specimens and the curator was so helpful and rightly very proud of the exhibits and there history.
The staff were very informative and friendly, it is hidden out of the way, but definitely recommend a visit if you're interested in Vesuvius.
An excellent museum, too often overlooked, with lots of local information and specimens. Perfectly sized for children!
The entrance was a bit hard to find as the building was under renovation. The curator was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and engaging. A lot of fun pieces (though the place may look small). Really enjoyed our time there
Highly recommend. While the main entrance construction works are ongoing, enter at the Ist. Ss. Trinita' E Paradiso entrance. Walk straight through and up the stairs. Very interesting exhibition.

From the entrance, where on the right and left there are two rooms of the bell tower, a circular plan develops, like the Pantheon in Rome, with a high drum and large dome with lantern. On the main axis there is the entrance hall on one side and the main altar with presbytery on the opposite side. Seven radial chapels in neoclassical style open into the walls and a large pipe organ opens onto the choir loft. Flanking the facade, slightly concave in the central part and divided into two superimposed orders, are two symmetrical bell towers. Great alternative for super crowded Sorrento beaches. Clean sand and clear water. €12 for a sun bed and €6 for an umbrella. €7 for Aperol Spritz in a local beach bar. Clean toilets and shower for €0.5.
Beautiful beach with clear water and a relaxed vibe. Sunbeds and umbrellas are well organized, and the bar offers good drinks and snacks. The staff are friendly and helpful, making it a great spot to spend the day by the sea. There are a lot of stones as you enter the water making it difficult to advance.
We wanted a day to enjoy on the beach in our area. We looked around on maps and found this place. It is way down what appears to be a service street. We felt like we were going to far and in an area we weren’t supposed to be then around a small curve and past the trash cans and there it is. The beach was crowded. They said sun beds are €10 each and an umbrella was €5 so total was €25 for the two of us. We picked a couple open chairs in front. We were there 5 minutes and a couple moms showed up with their 4 kids and had them put their chairs right in front of us. The beach itself and this beach club area just felt dirty. They were washing off some of the chairs when we arrived. The beach area just had debris on the rocky beach and area with the chairs. It would feel nicer if they just raked up the area. We sat there in the sun for about 30 minutes then decided to walk down the street to book a semi private boat tour to Capri the next day. On the way there we heard nice relaxing music on the other side of an 8’ high fence. We found an opening in the fence that led to a restaurant so we peeked in and saw sun beds. We asked and they said they rent them for €20 each and the umbrella was included. Total €40 for the two of us. We then booked our boat ride for the next day. Went back to our area gathered our things and left this dirty crowded area to go to a clean relaxing beach. So we spend the €25 here for 30 minutes and felt it was worth it to spend another €40 to enjoy a more relaxed area. This area was was less expensive and felt like it was mostly locals and only a few travelers like ourselves. So locals will probably go with the less expensive location because they go more often but we just wanted something nicer, cleaner and more relaxing. They did offer food and drink at this location but we were not there long enough to enjoy.
Clean beach, it’s visibly taken care of, friendly people, food is good compared to a small beach bistro, nice view. 4 stars only, because it’s kind of expensive (30 Euros for 2 beds and an umbrella), and the beach itself is small and a bit packed.
Super expensive chairs and sun umbrellas, also the beach itself isn't good
A real Italian holiday experience
If you call this beach.
(Translated by Google) The beach is fairly small. The platform area is much nicer than the crowded beach, and there's very little space between umbrellas. Hot showers only cost €0.50, and there's no hand shower for a quick rinse. There's a reasonably well-stocked restaurant, which makes excellent coffee; a bit more organization at the cash register would be enough. The sea is beautiful. Sunbeds for non-residents cost €12, umbrellas €6. We paid €8 for parking for about six hours, using a private parking lot a little earlier. Overall, I recommend it and plan to return, but only in September. Superb peak with breathtaking views. Bit of a scramble for the last 100 metres but not too bad if your reasonably fit or a reasonable experienced hiker. Well worth it for the views on top. Loved the little box on the top with a visitors book and oddly some tea bags!
Spectacular! It took me 2 hours to reach M. S. Michele (Molare) from the cable car, passing through Santuario S. Michele, which was closed. I then continued on an easy path (300) to Croce Della Connochia, followed by a leisurely walk (338a I believe) through an enchanted forest and joining up with the road back to the cable car (336C). This stretch took me about 2h30min. I am reasonably fit, but not a very experienced hiker. The only sections that made me nervous was the cable car and the short scramble up Molare. All the path signs were well maintained.
Grandiose ending of my Italy vacation, with bombastic views on the Vesuv, the gulf of Naples and the Amalfi coast. Sheer lunacy!
Great, varied hiking area. Having an online map or paper map is helpful as sign posts are found only on some of the junctions
Can be hiked as part of the Ring of Faito. Take the Cable car from Castellamare (8 Euro round Trip), follow signs to St Michele church first, then Monte Molare and then finish the loop by following the path to Croce della Conocchia (3-4h hike). Monte Molare has the most stunning views but the little climb up there is for more advanced hikers. The rest of the loop is fairly easy though.
Very beautiful views but the track is confusing and very tedious, but i suppose that also adds a certain ‘natural’ vibe to it, since there’s hardly anyone there.
Sorrento peninsula highest peak. Stunning views on Salerno and Napoli gulf
Wow views, highest point for miles

Wonderful bar with sun deck. Staff are friendly, and helpful. Try the gin basil smash - amazing!! At Sunset it’s the most beautiful place ❤️
Nice place with mediocre food and super inflexible manager. Unfortunately we didn't like the experience at all.
We found this gem whilst holidaying in Vico Equense last week - it was fantastic! The views, food, staff and atmosphere were unforgettable - we will definitely visit again next year! The sunset was stunning too, so all in all a perfect experience!
A very kind and relaxed service with decent drinks and food options. I wish toilets were cleaned a bit better and changing rooms didn't act as storage facilities, but otherwise they guys are doing a great job. Very reasonable prices as well! I'd be back in a minute!
What a lovely find. 100% Recommended. Beautiful views and lovely staff. Very reasonable prices and wonderful food. If your staying in sorrento, take the train to vico ((€2.40)) then bus to Marina D'Aequa (€2.20).🙂
Beautiful location, especially if you dislike sand! Steps down into the sea. Great, friendly staff. Service at your sun bed. Good food. Definitely worth a visit.
Wonderful experience at Murrano Mare!! Excellent food, wine & cocktails. The octopus was delicious. Wery attentive staff especially Olivio. Would recommend.
Excellent place, staff is wonderful, sunsets are amazing. The deck is large and have plenty of sunbeds!!!

It is located on the second floor of the new municipal house of Vico Equense and houses around 40 works by the Neapolitan school master. These works were donated by the heirs Gregorio Asturi and Annamaria Asturi. European landscapes, views of the surrounding area, wheelchairs, maternity and self-portraits are some of the themes of the works preserved in the museum. It is possible to visit the room for free, but only by reservation because it is usually closed. Highly recommended!
