A truly magical place. Visiting Jasna Góra Monastery was an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere is filled with peace and spiritual energy. You can feel a deep sense of calm and sacredness the moment you walk through the gates. A must-visit for anyone seeking reflection, history, or simply a moment of inner peace.
A heathen here. A pretty magnificent church. Our tour uses a local tour guide who takes us through the church while the Mass is in progress. He's also very thorough with the small museum. The church is dedicated to Black Madonna (the Virgin Mary), mother of Jesus. Reportedly, she possessed extraordinary power.
I love this place a lot. As soon as you walk through the gates it feels like you enter a little village on its own!!! It's a really peaceful and sacred place. I can only recommend ^^
Gorgeous buildings and surroundings. We were lucky enough to be there while mass was on. The sound of singing fills the place with reverie. There are multiple areas of the compound that are well worth a visit.
Wonderful shrine, a must-see while around Krakow. The icone of our Lady, the beautiful church, a very interesting treasury and museum, and breathtaking view at the top of the tower, all these make this place a magical one.
My visit to Jasna Góra immediately gave me a sense of falseness and incoherence. The sanctuary presents itself as a place of humility, compassion, and deep spirituality, yet the atmosphere felt strangely performative, almost staged. The devotion is grand, but the emotional tone is rigid — more about preserving an image than expressing genuine faith. What impressed me most was the strong contrast between the values celebrated inside the sanctuary and the social attitudes often seen outside of it. Poland proudly defines itself as a deeply Catholic nation, yet frequently promotes restrictive and exclusionary positions toward migrants, diversity, and LGBTQ+ people. This tension becomes glaring when compared to the very teachings the sanctuary claims to elevate. Below are some of the biblical passages that highlight this contradiction: Hebrews 13:2 “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.” Galatians 3:28 “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Mark 12:31 “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” Seen through this lens, Jasna Góra becomes a symbol of a broader national paradox: a powerful religious identity that often seems disconnected from the empathy, openness, and inclusion that the Gospel itself demands. Instead of spiritual harmony, the visit raises difficult questions about the gap between religious image and social reality.
A beautiful and spiritual place with incredible history. The monastery is impressive, peaceful, and filled with meaning. A must-visit when in Częstochowa.
This is considered to be a sacred place with a miracle-making icon. This historical place is visited by the Pope, too. The architecture with inside decoration of the churches is beautiful! The entrance is free. There is a large parking behind the cathedral complex. Many pilgrims come here every year.

Old-fashioned match factory with a production line from 1930 & a museum about its history.
Slide 1 of 8
Really cool museum, very unique, very recommended, but you need to call someone to open it. Only Polish speaking guide, but the machines are amazing 😍
One of the oldest match stick producing factory of Poland. It was off production after the whole factory was burnet by a fire. They actually show you the video where fire fighters are trying to put off fire and also how the machines use to work. Its been maintained by a very old polish family who are living in the same building and do not talk any English. It would cost you 10 zloty.
In fact, the impression is very mixed. On the one hand, one cannot help but note the uniqueness of the place, after all, this is the only such museum in the world and the involvement of the guide deserves respect. However, the condition of the place leaves much to be desired, financing is needed, the excursion is too short, and the ticket is expensive. Also, remember that you need to call in advance and arrange a visit. Considering everything described, I will give a rating of 3 and 1 in advance for potential
This place has huge potential to be a good tourist attraction. But it is dilapidated, sad and looks like abandoned factories I so much like to visit. There are several bio robots that play an audio recording, they speak only polish. It is advisable to visit this factory if you want to see what things would be like everywhere if communism had not fallen. Admission is 10zl, you have to activate the bio robots by ringing the bell at the entrance on the street.
One of a kind place to see. Since it is very old and pretty much left in the state that it was operating in for a century+, you can miss it and not know you did so pay attention to an old, faded sign. You can park right in front of it on the street for free. One guide, former retired employee, is working the tours so if the doors are locked, he is giving a tour. Call the number next to the door and wait few minutes. The guy is really great and very passionate about the whole thing. 20 PLN fee for a guided tour. Factory operated till 2010 and stopped, frozen in time with all equipment left as was that day. Definitely worth a visit.
One of a kind, former match factory, interesting machines and history told by a guide who was an employee ages ago. It is worthwhile to get there being around
There is no person all time at the location. If the gate is closed, their is contact number at the window. Entrance fee 20 zt. (June 2023). If you’re a foreign tourist who doesn’t speak polish or russian, visit is not worth it.
it was interesting to see matchmaking process which looks like frozen in time you better to call in advance, as I understand, nowadays only single man drives the whole museum, so the door might be closed

The most incredible and spiritual place!!! Love it!
Beautiful place around the czestochowa. peaceful to sit and enjoy fountain with ducks in pond. public toilet too so enjoy without worry.
Nice looking park with big playground for children, public toilets, attractions and fountains.
Large parking lot, very convenient and close to the church. There's no sign for the parking fee, just pay with grace and drop some coins into the jar as you wish.
A nice park close to the monastery. It is split into two parts. The south side contains a small playground for kids, a nice pond, and a garden gazebo which is used as a music venue in the summer. The north part is more quiet, though there's another playground there.
Nice park, lots of cameras, mostly safe. Nice pond with koi fish and ducks, plenty of benches, beautiful trees and paths to walk around on. Food nearby, bathroom for pay, but often closed. Good place to walk the dog but technically not allowed it's tolerated.
Our car broke down and very nice mechanic stayed 1,5 h over his work time and fix it, so we could continue with our road trip. He was very kind and professional and didn't charge anything extra for the extra hours. Very recommend!!

Antique machines & underground excavation exhibits highlight the history of ore mining in Poland.
Slide 1 of 8
It's nice if you like industrial history
I would say its a display of how iron ore mine use to look or what the employees of the mine used in daily activity. They charge you 14 zloty but they have a English audio guide who explains everything on display. They have some of the oldest fossils of some of the sea creatures.
(Translated by Google) A museum located on the route of technical monuments, which is a must-see. It is located in the park near Jasna Góra. Staszica and was arranged in underground corridors built in the 1970s. Former mine workings were recreated here, equipped with mining equipment from the now closed iron ore mine in Szczekaczka. The tour lasts about half an hour and is accompanied by a voice-over presenting further elements of the museum's equipment. Individual pieces of mining equipment and equipment are, of course, also additionally described. I also recommend it to families with smaller children. The tour is quite short, and children will never get bored 🤪 (Original) Muzeum znajdujące się na szlaku zabytków techniki, które trzeba koniecznie odwiedzić. Znajduje się w podjasnogórskim parku im. Staszica i urządzone zostało w zbudowanych w latach 70 XX wieku podziemnych korytarzach. Odtworzono tu dawne wyrobiska kopalniane wyposażone w sprzęty górnicze pochodzące z zamkniętej już kopalni rud żelaza w Szczekaczce. Zwiedzanie trwa około pół godziny a uprzyjemnia je głos lektora przedstawiający kolejne elementy wyposażenia muzeum.

City Hall
Slide 1 of 8
A museum about the history and evolution of the city. Cozy and Interesting. Last part of the museum is a tower with an impressive viewpoint, where you will have a panoramic overview of the city. Only for this view, it is worth to go. The staff is very charming and attentive. In all museums and monuments I visited in Czestochowa, the assistance was always outstanding. Important!! By paying one ticket to any of the museums of the city you will have free access to all museums and some other places, I would recommend asking in the museums so you can get all the information.
I wasn't interested in the museum inside, more the building itself and this felt unimpressive to either the church in front of it or the ones at the end of promenade
(Translated by Google) Passed by, but overlooked. Interesting but uninteresting. Photogenic, but not noteworthy. What a pity! Because the City Hall in Częstochowa is a place not only interesting from the outside. And those who visited him know this! When we admire the building, we will always want to go inside. Why? Because we have already been there and experienced an interesting adventure. Stories about old Częstochowa are captivating. The guide really inspired us to discover the city anew. She invited us to the top of the clock tower, with a panorama reaching to the Castle in Olsztyn. She showed paintings and photographs by contemporary artists. She led the way through the glass floor that connected the exhibition rooms with a corridor. There is never a dull moment in the Town Hall. Instead, there is cordiality, history and an outline of history. Don't skip the City Hall in Częstochowa and let it take your attention. It's worth it! (Original) Mijany, ale pomijany. Interesujący, ale niezajmujący. Fotogeniczny, ale niegodny uwagi. A szkoda! A wie to ten, kto go odwiedził! My już zawsze podziwiając budynek, będziemy mieli ochotę wejść do środka. Dlaczego? Bo już tam byliśmy i przeżyliśmy ciekawą przygodę. Pokazała obrazy i fotografie współczesnych artystów. Warto!
(Translated by Google) I suggest starting your visit to Częstochowa's museums from this place and purchasing an all-day ticket here, which allows entry to virtually all Częstochowa's museums. The building itself is distinguished by its interesting architecture. It is located on Biegański Square. It was built in 1828 for the administration of the growing city. In 2006, the building was thoroughly modernized and adapted to the needs of people with mobility limitations. It is equipped with, among others: in the elevator. An observation tower was also built, from which you can see the panorama of the city. It is worth seeing the permanent historical exhibition showing the history of the city. It is presented in a very interesting and modern way. I don't think children will be bored here either. W 2006 roku budynek został gruntownie zmodernizowany i dostosowany do potrzeb osób z ograniczeniami ruchowymi . Wyposażono go m.in. w windę.

Shopping mall
Shopping
Spacious, modern shopping mall with name-brand stores, restaurants, a movie theater & playground.
Slide 1 of 8
I believe it is the biggest shopping mall in Częstochowa , and you need to keep it in the list when you visit the city. Design is very nice with amazing views to the city and mini aquarium spots. Many many shopping markets are here. There is many cafes ( I recommend SoCoffee 👌 ) Food Hall is big with many options ( I recommend Zdrowia Smak 😍 ) One negative 😅 no phone chargings - only the cafes
Everything what you need from typical, well organized Shopping Center with good, wide range of chain brands and those much more posh boutiques. Fine food court, modern facilities, cool features like huge aquariums with fishes from around the world 🐠🐟🐡🌎 makes the time spent there much more interesting. ...but according to the most recent Mall trends might be not enough to especially travel to this place.
Great shopping centre with loads of shops and unique entrance design.Nice eating area. Also in the center there are some fish aquariums. If you are nearby , i would recommend visiting .
You can find everything in Galeria Jurajska only not on Sunday! Though it's mentioned on their website and even main entrance that Galeria is open on Sunday until 9 pm. But you can get into it only through the parking area K5 or back entrance, only smoking shop, kids area, some places on food court and cinema are open. I suppose they should mention that "cinema and food court only" are open on Sunday at the entrance and on the website because it's very confusing especially for foreigners
This is one of the leading shopping malls in Czestochowa. The corridor is wide. The food court is soacious too. Large parking area, both inside and outside. There are play areas outside including a beach volleyball court. Easy to access from the highway. All leading brands operating in Poland are present here.
Greatest shopping mall ever!!! Filled with so many affordable shops and fast food places - great!
ultra cute fishes 🐟🐡🐠 and chilling spot
Nice place Galleria Jurajska 🙂 Not overcrowded 😍 with some very nice shops 🙂

Very good exhibition of Bartosz Fraczek. Best recommendations.
Travelled with a friend especially to see Beksinski's work,I checked the website multiple times to make sure the exibition will be open on the day we go, when I went to the museum it turned out that all exibitions are currently closed and I didn't get to see artworks I've been dreaming to see for years. I asked why it wasn't stated that the exibition won't be open in the website, and only got an apology. In the end of the day, we saw no paintings and ended up 100zl short for a hostel, and another 100zl for train tickets.
You can see modern art here. But the main attraction is exhibition of excellent paintings and photographs of one of the most prominent Polish artist - Zdzisław Beksiński. Highly recommended!
Very energetic Art-point because of the positive (creative) leadership of pani Anna Paleczek-Szumlas. Thanks for such an expression for the job and possibility to work in good team! Are details of the Extraordinary in Gallery always.

Monumental basilica at the heart of Czestochowa. Pure, ethereal, grandiloquent, perfect space for reflection accompanied by the songs of the choir. Much less burneded than older temples, it allows the mind to clean itself from the unnecessary worries of the material world.
Monumental basilica at the heart of Czestochowa❤️ I was lucky that it was 1st day of Month of the Virgin Mary There was a procession from the church to Back Madona ( Jasna Góra) , lots of brass bands, a choir, trumpet sounds and a beautiful spiritual atmosphere 🙏
After Jasna Gora, this is the second top spot in the small city of Czestochowa. From the outside it is magnificent. Inside is a whole different story. Very peaceful and very quiet. When I was there , there was only one person and it was really chilling. However, everything was very beautiful.
Very beautiful, there was a lady there who was very friendly and said we could go in and showed us to go to the front.
Apart from the Jasna góra monastery it's probably the most impressive church in the city. Beautiful architecture and stained glass windows.
Beautiful place to visit. Says it's one of the largest cathedrals in Europe. I can well believe it. It's cavernous.
A very nice baroque architecture cathedral. There's no one inside when I was there at 1pm.
Very impressive building!!

A place to commemorate the deportation by train of several dozen thousand Jews from Częstochowa to a concentration camp in 1942. Next to the monument are the ruins of the station building. (Original) Pomnik skromny ale pełen symbolizmu (pęknięty mur, gwiazda Dawida z szyn). Autor dobrze wyczuł temat. Miejsce upamiętnienia wywozu w 1942 r. pociągami kilkudziesięciu tysięcy częstochowskich Żydów do obozu koncentracyjnego. Obok pomnika ruiny budynku dworca.

These events should be remembered and treated with great respect and understanding. Unfortunately, not everyone knows about it and that is why the monument recently fell victim to vandalism with a very controversial message, especially regarding this monument... Należy pamiętać o tych zdarzeniach i traktować je z wielkim szacunkiem i zrozumieniem.
(Translated by Google) An interesting monument dedicated to a historical event. The place reminds us of the character of this part of Częstochowa. An old station in complete ruin next to the square. Next to the monument there are boulevards on the Warta River and Galeria Jurajska where you can relax, eat, a playground for children surrounded by a fountain and flowers. Obok pomnika bulwary na Wartą i Galeria Jurajska gdzie można odpocząć, zjeść, plac zabaw dla dzieci w otoczeniu fontanny i kwiatów.
