Jasna Góra is a significant spiritual site in Poland, established by the Paulite order in 1382. The monastery houses the revered Icon of the Black Madonna of Czestochowa and various other sacred artworks. Pilgrims are drawn to this location due to reported miracles associated with the Black Madonna painting in the Chapel of Lady. The site also features an information center that offers guided tours in English.
A truly magical place. Visiting Jasna Góra Monastery was an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere is filled with peace and spiritual energy. You can feel a deep sense of calm and sacredness the moment you walk through the gates. A must-visit for anyone seeking reflection, history, or simply a moment of inner peace.

A heathen here. A pretty magnificent church. Our tour uses a local tour guide who takes us through the church while the Mass is in progress. He's also very thorough with the small museum. The church is dedicated to Black Madonna (the Virgin Mary), mother of Jesus. Reportedly, she possessed extraordinary power.
Irene E — Google review
I love this place a lot. As soon as you walk through the gates it feels like you enter a little village on its own!!! It's a really peaceful and sacred place. I can only recommend ^^

Gorgeous buildings and surroundings. We were lucky enough to be there while mass was on. The sound of singing fills the place with reverie. There are multiple areas of the compound that are well worth a visit.
Andrea B — Google review
Wonderful shrine, a must-see while around Krakow. The icone of our Lady, the beautiful church, a very interesting treasury and museum, and breathtaking view at the top of the tower, all these make this place a magical one.
Nizar K — Google review
My visit to Jasna Góra immediately gave me a sense of falseness and incoherence. The sanctuary presents itself as a place of humility, compassion, and deep spirituality, yet the atmosphere felt strangely performative, almost staged. The devotion is grand, but the emotional tone is rigid — more about preserving an image than expressing genuine faith. What impressed me most was the strong contrast between the values celebrated inside the sanctuary and the social attitudes often seen outside of it. Poland proudly defines itself as a deeply Catholic nation, yet frequently promotes restrictive and exclusionary positions toward migrants, diversity, and LGBTQ+ people. This tension becomes glaring when compared to the very teachings the sanctuary claims to elevate. Below are some of the biblical passages that highlight this contradiction: Hebrews 13:2 “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.” Galatians 3:28 “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Mark 12:31 “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” Seen through this lens, Jasna Góra becomes a symbol of a broader national paradox: a powerful religious identity that often seems disconnected from the empathy, openness, and inclusion that the Gospel itself demands. Instead of spiritual harmony, the visit raises difficult questions about the gap between religious image and social reality.

A beautiful and spiritual place with incredible history. The monastery is impressive, peaceful, and filled with meaning. A must-visit when in Częstochowa.

This is considered to be a sacred place with a miracle-making icon. This historical place is visited by the Pope, too. The architecture with inside decoration of the churches is beautiful! The entrance is free. There is a large parking behind the cathedral complex. Many pilgrims come here every year.

Old-fashioned match factory with a production line from 1930 & a museum about its history.
Really cool museum, very unique, very recommended, but you need to call someone to open it. Only Polish speaking guide, but the machines are amazing 😍
Andrea P — Google review
One of the oldest match stick producing factory of Poland. It was off production after the whole factory was burnet by a fire. They actually show you the video where fire fighters are trying to put off fire and also how the machines use to work. Its been maintained by a very old polish family who are living in the same building and do not talk any English. It would cost you 10 zloty.
Dheeraj K — Google review
In fact, the impression is very mixed. On the one hand, one cannot help but note the uniqueness of the place, after all, this is the only such museum in the world and the involvement of the guide deserves respect. However, the condition of the place leaves much to be desired, financing is needed, the excursion is too short, and the ticket is expensive. Also, remember that you need to call in advance and arrange a visit. Considering everything described, I will give a rating of 3 and 1 in advance for potential
Aleksander G — Google review
This place has huge potential to be a good tourist attraction. But it is dilapidated, sad and looks like abandoned factories I so much like to visit. There are several bio robots that play an audio recording, they speak only polish. It is advisable to visit this factory if you want to see what things would be like everywhere if communism had not fallen. Admission is 10zl, you have to activate the bio robots by ringing the bell at the entrance on the street.
Mantas Z — Google review
One of a kind place to see. Since it is very old and pretty much left in the state that it was operating in for a century+, you can miss it and not know you did so pay attention to an old, faded sign. You can park right in front of it on the street for free. One guide, former retired employee, is working the tours so if the doors are locked, he is giving a tour. Call the number next to the door and wait few minutes. The guy is really great and very passionate about the whole thing. 20 PLN fee for a guided tour. Factory operated till 2010 and stopped, frozen in time with all equipment left as was that day. Definitely worth a visit.
Michael M — Google review
One of a kind, former match factory, interesting machines and history told by a guide who was an employee ages ago. It is worthwhile to get there being around
Amarok S — Google review
There is no person all time at the location. If the gate is closed, their is contact number at the window. Entrance fee 20 zt. (June 2023). If you’re a foreign tourist who doesn’t speak polish or russian, visit is not worth it.
Evgeni D — Google review
it was interesting to see matchmaking process which looks like frozen in time you better to call in advance, as I understand, nowadays only single man drives the whole museum, so the door might be closed

I recommend visiting the Pauline Monastery if you have an interest in medieval fortresses. The impressive halls and knightly armor will leave a lasting impression. Both the exterior and interior of the monastery offer numerous fascinating features. Don't miss the opportunity to climb up to the tower, which provides a stunning panoramic view. However, please note that access to the tower is only available until 5:00 PM.

The Muzeum Górnictwa Rud Żelaza w Częstochowie, also known as Muzeum Częstochowskie, exhibits antique machinery and underground excavation displays that showcase the rich history of ore mining in Poland. Visitors can explore this fascinating museum, which provides English explanations for a better understanding. With its compact size, a quick 20-minute visit is sufficient to appreciate the exhibits.
It's nice if you like industrial history

I would say its a display of how iron ore mine use to look or what the employees of the mine used in daily activity. They charge you 14 zloty but they have a English audio guide who explains everything on display. They have some of the oldest fossils of some of the sea creatures.

(Translated by Google) A museum located on the route of technical monuments, which is a must-see. It is located in the park near Jasna Góra. Staszica and was arranged in underground corridors built in the 1970s. Former mine workings were recreated here, equipped with mining equipment from the now closed iron ore mine in Szczekaczka. The tour lasts about half an hour and is accompanied by a voice-over presenting further elements of the museum's equipment. Individual pieces of mining equipment and equipment are, of course, also additionally described. I also recommend it to families with smaller children. The tour is quite short, and children will never get bored 🤪 (Original) Muzeum znajdujące się na szlaku zabytków techniki, które trzeba koniecznie odwiedzić. Znajduje się w podjasnogórskim parku im. Staszica i urządzone zostało w zbudowanych w latach 70 XX wieku podziemnych korytarzach. Odtworzono tu dawne wyrobiska kopalniane wyposażone w sprzęty górnicze pochodzące z zamkniętej już kopalni rud żelaza w Szczekaczce. Zwiedzanie trwa około pół godziny a uprzyjemnia je głos lektora przedstawiający kolejne elementy wyposażenia muzeum.

Staszica w Częstochowie is a pleasant green space located near the monastery. Divided into two sections, the southern part features a small kids' playground, a charming pond, and a garden gazebo that hosts music events in the summer. On the quieter northern side, there's an additional playground available. The park is well-monitored with numerous cameras and generally considered safe.

A nice park close to the monastery. It is split into two parts. The south side contains a small playground for kids, a nice pond, and a garden gazebo which is used as a music venue in the summer. The north part is more quiet, though there's another playground there.

A museum about the history and evolution of the city. Cozy and Interesting. Last part of the museum is a tower with an impressive viewpoint, where you will have a panoramic overview of the city. Only for this view, it is worth to go. The staff is very charming and attentive. In all museums and monuments I visited in Czestochowa, the assistance was always outstanding. Important!! By paying one ticket to any of the museums of the city you will have free access to all museums and some other places, I would recommend asking in the museums so you can get all the information.

(Translated by Google) Passed by, but overlooked. Interesting but uninteresting. Photogenic, but not noteworthy. What a pity! Because the City Hall in Częstochowa is a place not only interesting from the outside. And those who visited him know this! When we admire the building, we will always want to go inside. Why? Because we have already been there and experienced an interesting adventure. Stories about old Częstochowa are captivating. The guide really inspired us to discover the city anew. She invited us to the top of the clock tower, with a panorama reaching to the Castle in Olsztyn. She showed paintings and photographs by contemporary artists. She led the way through the glass floor that connected the exhibition rooms with a corridor. There is never a dull moment in the Town Hall. Instead, there is cordiality, history and an outline of history. Don't skip the City Hall in Częstochowa and let it take your attention. It's worth it! (Original) Mijany, ale pomijany. Interesujący, ale niezajmujący. Fotogeniczny, ale niegodny uwagi. A szkoda! A wie to ten, kto go odwiedził! My już zawsze podziwiając budynek, będziemy mieli ochotę wejść do środka. Dlaczego? Bo już tam byliśmy i przeżyliśmy ciekawą przygodę. Pokazała obrazy i fotografie współczesnych artystów. Warto!

(Translated by Google) I suggest starting your visit to Częstochowa's museums from this place and purchasing an all-day ticket here, which allows entry to virtually all Częstochowa's museums. The building itself is distinguished by its interesting architecture. It is located on Biegański Square. It was built in 1828 for the administration of the growing city. In 2006, the building was thoroughly modernized and adapted to the needs of people with mobility limitations. It is equipped with, among others: in the elevator. An observation tower was also built, from which you can see the panorama of the city. It is worth seeing the permanent historical exhibition showing the history of the city. It is presented in a very interesting and modern way. I don't think children will be bored here either. W 2006 roku budynek został gruntownie zmodernizowany i dostosowany do potrzeb osób z ograniczeniami ruchowymi . Wyposażono go m.in. w windę.

Monumental basilica at the heart of Czestochowa❤️ I was lucky that it was 1st day of Month of the Virgin Mary There was a procession from the church to Back Madona ( Jasna Góra) , lots of brass bands, a choir, trumpet sounds and a beautiful spiritual atmosphere 🙏

After Jasna Gora, this is the second top spot in the small city of Czestochowa. From the outside it is magnificent. Inside is a whole different story. Very peaceful and very quiet. When I was there , there was only one person and it was really chilling. However, everything was very beautiful.

(Translated by Google) The church is located at Biegański Square. In 1869, in this place, the Orthodox church of St. was built in the Byzantine style by the tsarist authorities. Cyril and Methodius. After World War I, the church was taken over by the Polish state and handed over to the Roman Catholic Church. After World War II, the church was thoroughly rebuilt in the style of an early Christian temple. The side walls were covered with wooden paneling and the windows were equipped with new stained glass. (Translated by Google) Praise You, God, for the parish of St. James the Apostle in Częstochowa—for the shrine where the journey of trust begins, prayer follows, and where hearts learn to follow You, as James followed Christ! Here, every pilgrim, like the apostle himself, becomes a traveler of hope—not for an earthly goal alone, but for an encounter with You, the God of the living. This place is the beginning of the pilgrimage to Our Lady of Częstochowa, but above all, it is the place where You call: “Follow Me!” Be glorified, Lord, in the shrine where the journey of the spirit begins, in St. James, who was the first to respond, and in everyone who follows You with an open heart. Deo gratias! Deo gratias!

Water park
Swimming pool
Park Wodny Częstochowa is a well-maintained and cost-effective water park with both outdoor and indoor attractions. On hot days, visitors can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool and spacious grassy areas. The indoor area offers various attractions including slides, jacuzzi, wild river, artificial waves, water jets, and bubble pools. Additionally, there are options for lane swimming. The park also features a shop selling swimming goods.
Excellent place with affordable prices. The sauna area is just perfect.
Tomasz S — Google review
Worst place, don't recommend to visit. If you want to go to the sauna you need to be naked, it's Sodom and Gomorrah water park.
Pavels D — Google review
Nice place, warm water, few jacuzzi and not many slides but they are great 😊 Overall coll aqua park👍
Alfredo F — Google review
Very good, spacious, tidy and well maintained. Cost effective as well. In hot days like the one I visited you can use outdoor swimming pool and large grass land to relax and catch some rays. Don't like the sun? No problem, go and enjoy indoor area with all the attractions, slides, jacuzzi, wild river, artificial waves, water jets and loads of bubble. Lane swimming available on top of that. Perfect.
Piotr C — Google review
Somehow, I have no idea how, but I get ill after both of my visits there. My children too. The locker we were given were in two separate places far from each other. I had to drop one locker and get my things in one locker with my child so we would be together because I had no one but me to look after them. I doubt it was on purpose, but it was not something to be OK with.
Mikomi J — Google review
Park has many fun activities to offer, especially during summer when you can go outside without paying extra. It's good to take something you can sit on (like a blanket) to lay on the grass outside
Jakub K — Google review
The Saunarium is nice - in theory. In practice it is not quite like that, because if you go there at 4, when it opens, everything is still cold. It is not comprehensible at all that they do not heat it up before, so that everything is ready when they open, especially that you also have to pay for the time you are just waiting until it is as hot as it should be. Only the Finnish Sauna was warm, but not as hot as it was described. Nevertheless, the Aquapark itself is nice, which is why three stars can still be justified. But do something about that Saunarium, else next time I will want my money back!

Suddenly no water in the shower 15min before closer and 5pln/min fee after official closure time in case. Simply stressful for normal guests with family

Bar
Great place for lovers of nature. You can chill while drinking a beer and enjoy beautiful view on the lake. Wake park offers beaverages and snacks. Worth visiting!
Ania K — Google review
It was not a good experience. Lemonade is a SCAM. It's just overpriced water with a hint of some flavour. No real lemon. It's 14zl for just some flavoured water. I raised the concern but there was no action. We also hired a paddle boat and were later threatening us that they were gonna call police since one of us entered the water and we bumped into the shore. Other people who hire a water paddle board or skate can enter the water but others are not. It seems illogical firstly and secondly no one warned or instructed us about the regulations. How is one supposed to know the rules. Don't recommend.
VANDANA K — Google review
Expensive beer - 14 PLN, waitress was "not very Nice and polite"...
Petra L — Google review
Its ridiculous. They put wake boarders in the water, but say that everyone else is not allowed into the water. They threatened us with police.

Amusement center
So much fun for little ones. Separate age zones (up to 3 yrs old and higher), climbing zone, ball pools, games arcade, and recently added giant water pillows! Excellent Café. Animators that play with children and organise games with prizes. Good place for Parents to relax. One of not many play centres, that have plenty of daylight, not just electric bulbs. Highly Recommended.

(Translated by Google) A place friendly to both children and parents, but not entirely delightful. On the one hand, the space is large and well-arranged. There is room for ball pools, slides, a space for shared play and obstacle courses. There is also a café area with a lot of tables. The current animator entertains children. Unfortunately, there are also disadvantages, for which I deduct stars. The biggest disadvantage is the bar/cafe menu. There is not a single healthy snack - only fast food or cakes and sweets. Secondly, the omnipresent excess of ball machines and gaming machines not sufficiently separated from the playground area. Thirdly, the music in one of the rooms is too loud for toddlers. And finally (although this is the smallest fault) the room is not the first novelty. In general, I do not advise against it, but you can find better places to play with children. Z jednej strony przestrzeń duża i dobrze urządzona. Największy z minusów to menu baru/kawiarni.

(Translated by Google) I give it five stars. In fact, the building and the hall have seen their best days, but the owners keep it clean, there are many attractions, there is plenty of space and the child has no right to be bored. In addition, we were very warmly welcomed by an employee of Magic Land, so I rate the visit as a plus and I will definitely go back there with my child.

(Translated by Google) The gallery was established at the end of 2018. The originator of the idea was the architect Maciej Żelasko, who saw the potential of this place (basements under the current medical clinic) during the revitalization of the building - a former office building of the now defunct Stradom textile factory. Atmospheric place, exposed walls and brick vaults. Exhibitions and other cultural events take place here, such as musical performances, workshop training, and meetings with interesting people. Discussion meetings of the "Foto Plastykon" photography club take place one Wednesday a month (the third). Entrance through the clinic to the basement level, or from the parking lot at the back of the building directly to the stairs to the Gallery. Miejsce klimatyczne, odsłonięte ściany i sklepienia ceglane.
