Palm trees and white-sand beaches in a small tropical island with a rich undersea life.
Slide 1 of 8
A very small island. No one lives there but some resturants and bars, a perfect place to spend a day, awesome for swimming and snorkeling., try to explore the island. Make sure you order your food in the morning try to get there with a tour agency, it's cheaper, you can get a package for 4 activities with only 30 mil pesos or 10 usd Have fun
It is not a big place, but it's so pretty, i am going to give you an advice, the beach were the boat lefts you has many rocks, so if you walk a bit there is another beach that one doesn't have many rocks, and the sea it's more calm
Inexpensive boat trip. snorkeling, beach swimming, other activities, iguanas, beer and cocktails. very nice way to spend 3-4 hrs and worth the tour price. all tours in San Andres are super reasonable.
The Island is small and really beautiful, love it. They should limit the number of tourists per day to preserv the environment 😫 Food in "restaurant" is delicious 😍
The islands ia great, lots of animals, drinks and food. Much better than the aquarium.
Not a must! Expensive, and nothing much to do To crowded for such a small little island Beautiful landscape, but nothing else

Natural phenomenon where a hole in the beach shoots out ocean water when there are strong waves.
Slide 1 of 8
Amazing opportunity to see waves coming and to see it blow through the hole! Grab a cocktail and enjoy the time. Decent gifts as well in the shops
This should be a quick stop to see the blowhole. It's not a most see but pretty interesting. The locals will make you buy something like a drink to take a photo with the blowhole. If you wait long enough, you could see a pretty big explosion of the sea through the hole. It's cool, but be prepared to wait in a line for a photo.
Proceed at your own risk. I went there, and the natives said it was free, but they will insist and persist that you buy a drink!!! When i went there was no wind. It was just a hole. If you end up going to the hole, they get very mad if you don't buy anything!!! Our piña coladas were not good.
Check the tide before coming and expect paying at least 20-30k per couple ITS NOT FREE even though they say it, they’ll charge anyway or you will not be allowed through, and after they secure your money then they will mention there was no wind/high tide The worst part is that the drinks taste worse than hand sanitizer
The blowhole/s here most of the time are just a lil hohe in the rocks, nothing happens. Its supposed to be free, but the scamming locals in the area will rip you off for parking, try to charge you to see it and force you to buy something from them. They also get aggressive if you don't want to comply. Definitely not worth the hassle and unless it's big swells there is nothing to see anyway. My advice, avoid this area. It's not worth risking your safety. Very disappointing and frankly quite dangerous.
Agree with other reviews. Not that impressive and vendors make you buy things from them. Basically a hole in the ground that the waves push water up through and didn’t when we were there. Implication seems they’ll mess with your car if you don’t buy things.
We were touring the island with our mule so we gave it a quick stop. You can park on the side of the road, so you don't need to pay or buy a drink for parking. As soon as you park there are very aggressive touts telling you that it is required to buy a drink to see the hole. This is a lie, it is open to the public. Just keep walking and walk through the many drink shops to get to it. We did start talking with one of the shop owners named Oscar who was not aggressively selling and was very nice. We ended up buying a drink from him. We visited at low tide with almost no wind (or waves) to make the water shoot through. You could still feel the warm air pushed up. It was actually a cool experience because we jumped in the water at the shoreline and swam up under the reef to the bottom of the hole. It was a cool alternative way to experience it.
Stopped by for a bit and was rushed by vendors trying to sell their food or drinks to us. The waves weren’t that strong so not much to see or experience. Will try again in future and let you all know how it was.

I went 2 different times: The 1st time it was to swim and see the sunset. It has a perfect view of the sunset. Entrance is 10.000Pesos and they have a board to jump from sitting area and shade area. They don't charge you extra to sit or ve in the shade like most of the places in the island. There are drinks and very few snacks which have a regular price for the island. The service is top notch very friendly people. One of the few places of the island where I didnt feel pressured or taken advantage of. 2nd time to scooba dive. Paid 110.000pesos for about 30 mins of scooba and it was worth every penny. Countless species of fish of colours I've never seen and corals that look from and other planet that I never could have imagined. The dive instructor was dilligent and helpful. Again an honnest company who will give you the bedt service with the best price.
This place is amazing. Great view. It is a bit far from the center of the city, but if you take but to get there from the downtown, it takes around 40 minutes to arrive and it costs 3.600 Colombian pesos. The entrance to West view and piscinitas is 5.000 Colombian pesos per person. There you can dive and see a lot of marine fauna.
It's a small bar with plastic chairs and sunbeds, a lot of local people. They don't accept dollars for the entrance ( 3 doll per person) only card, but inside, you can not buy the drinks if u don't have pesos. You can enter the water by jumping 4m high, water slides, or metal staircases. Not recommend
La Piscinita is a great spot to spend a couple of hours enjoying the sea. The entrance fee is 10k per person, and honestly, 1 to 2 hours is plenty to enjoy what it offers. There are lounge chairs where you can relax between swims, plus diving boards and a slide that make it fun for both kids and adults. If you bring snorkeling gear, you can spot some small fish in the clear water, which is a nice bonus! It’s a simple place but well worth a visit for a refreshing dip and some light snorkeling in a relaxed environment.
Fun and beautiful place for a good price
Amazing experience! The water was fanatic, there were plenty of fish swimming with us while in the water. It can get a bit crowded at times though. A must to visit when in San Andrés.
It was amazing, definitely not to be missed.
An excellent place to visit... behind to west view ecological and turistical park, is a place similar attended by native people and you don't have to pay the entrance, only to drink and eat something there

I found this the best beach on the island. Beautiful sand, blue water and some nice places to drink and eat. But most important, despite most other beaches this beach is really deserted. We have been here for multiple days and enjoyed each day. The only downside was the strong wind. But that was not beach specific.
After reading all the reviews we decided to come and take a look. After our visit inwoll.say this. Their are plenty of beautiful beaches here. But this is not it.
Best beach in San Andrés in my humble opinion
After reading the reviews we visited but were disappointed. Dirty beach with a difficult to swim in water not for kids. Lots of opportunists around to try and charge you to park your car or motorcycle. Much nicer places on the island less touristy.
Best beach on the Island
This beach is amazing! Turquoise peaceful water all over the beach, a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun! Not so close to the center, so you should have your own vehicle to go there and enjoy
If you want to avoid crowds this is your place. Sunny, amazingly warm water, beautiful sand, you name it.
This beach needs a serious cleanup. Otherwise the water is clear and not so crowded.

It's a great place to learn about Henry Morgan and his life, people there is very nice
They tried to entertain the visitors and to justify the price of the entry, but to be honest, I think they forced things too much and the overall quality of everything was not good enough.
It was ok, if you have the time do it, but if you are in crunch, I might skip it. Is all run by locals, so that's also a nice way to help out, and learn some history about the Island.
did not like. it was all pretty cheap and they also change for guests to use the bathroom. literally someone brought some stuff to put in there house made of plastic and called that a museum. I would not recommend to waist your time here. The bathroom part is the thing that piss me off the most ( I saw an employee peeing in the trees lol)
I've paid 30.000 COP so you don't have to. Everything is made up. Nothing is authentic. All plastic. The cove itself is made up. A bare minimum storytelling poorly delivered with no effort, a bunch of lazy people positioned at different steps of a loop parroting short sentences in poor English, you're done in 10 mins. Save your money for an arepa. You're welcome.
Overpriced and not that great or interesting. Lot of mosquitos. I guess its fun for kids who like pirates but I didnt really enjoy. People working there are friendly though
Terrible! This place is so bad I can’t believe people actually go here. Of course, I spent the $20,000 COP entry fee and joined the tour so I’m guilty of being a patron too. Unfortunately, I have nothing positive to say about this excursion - - AVOID IT! The people who work here are all very nice so I feel bad writing a negative review. But, I am simply being honest in my review of this terribly disappointing experience.

If you’re looking for a slice of paradise, Cayo Acuario is a **must-visit** 🌊. This stunning island feels like a dream come true, with **crystal-clear waters** that shimmer in shades of turquoise 💎 and warm sands that beckon you to relax 🏖️. The snorkeling experience is simply **breathtaking** 🤿🐠. Swimming alongside colorful fish and spotting stingrays in their natural habitat will leave you in awe 🌟. The calm and shallow waters make it perfect for beginners and families 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. If you're into photography 📸, you'll love capturing the views here—especially with the nearby Johnny Cay in the background 🌅. Pro tip: Bring a waterproof camera to capture those underwater marvels 📷🌊.
It's a beautiful, place. I went there twice and it's pretty nice, the island is crowded but full of fish so go for the fish and swim with them.
Excellent location to do shallow snorkeling. You must wear sea shoes or your feet will get cut up by coral and rocks. A lot of fish of different varieties can be seen. Also manta rays are close by, most boats will take you back to San Andres over the manta rays so you can see them there. take money so you can rent a locker to store your stuff while snorkeling. also money necessary to use toilet (cheap but you need to pay around 30 cents US to use bathrooms. snorkel masks can be rented here as well. TAKE A LOAF OF BREAD WITH YOU TO HAVE FISH COME RIGHT UP TO YOU/
Cristal water with a good variety of fish. Bring water shoes for sure as it does have spiky rocks in some places
Make sure u have sun block there is no shad there.

(Translated by Google) This place is heavenly. The sea is calm and the waters very crystal clear. You can practice searching and walk to the boat that is stranded at a shallow depth. You can buy food and drinks. An excellent place to visit!!! (Original) Este lugar es paradisíaco. El mar es calmado y las aguas muy cristalinas. Puedes practicar buseo e irte caminando hasta la embarcación que está encallada a poca profundidad. Puedes comprar comida y bebidas. Un excelente sitio para conocer!!!
It has potential but we found it a bit dirty... The beach could be really nice because the views from there are really unique (a little island and a sank boat). Unfortunately, like in so many places in this island, the beaches are quite dirty... It's a shame. The beach also has a few restaurants reasonably priced to stay for lunch which is convenient.
(Translated by Google) It is the cay you arrive at from Rocky Cay beach. The truth is, it's not a big deal. The nicest thing, if you like swimming, is to cross there. Because the water doesn't even reach your shoulders and all along the way, if you are guided by the buoys, there is sand on the ground. So you can cross it calmly, as long as it is enabled. It depends on the tide, whether it crosses or not. Once you arrive, you see a ship anchored and burned nearby. There are some palm trees. But it is not to stay for more than 10 minutes. Obviously don't forget to bring nautical shoes. Because when you reach the key there begins to be coral. Obviamente no olviden llevar zapatillas náuticas. Porque al llegar al cayo comienza a haber corales.
(Translated by Google) It's a key and that's it. The best thing is to cross there, although at high tide it is a bit risky, there are parts where you have to swim because you don't touch the bottom. (Original) Es un cayo y ya. Lo mejor es cruzar hasta allá, aunque con la marea alta es un poco arriesgado, hay partes donde toca nadar porque no se toca el fondo.

(Translated by Google) A beautiful beach with a lot of movement! If you can see the difference from the main beach of the island, it is the amount of local people who enjoy this place, many told us to be careful with our belongings, but the truth is that the 2 days we were in that place, we did not We have neither experienced nor seen any event that makes us feel uncomfortable or afraid. The only thing that can be said is that there are a lot of people, the platform is narrower and therefore the space is limited, but it is a beautiful place.
(Translated by Google) This is another aquarium from San Andrés Islands. Swimming to the stranded ship and diving there is a wonderful, unique and special experience. It's a wonderful location for snorkeling, with cliff jumping and a pleasant waterfront area. There's a nice restaurant across the road for lunch. However, please be aware that the diving boards can be slippery, and there's coral and sea urchins in the water, so swim shoes are recommended. I would also suggest bringing your own snorkeling gear.
The most beautiful place in the island! You have great snorkeling here it’s quiet and there are 2 nice restaurants / places to sit. Definitely a good place for your afternoon-evening
Nice place, nice vines, nice swimming. Not the best place for snorkelling but overall it's good. Can find some food and drinks (also across the road) but don't expect a lot of convenience. Nice that you can also get some packed icecreams. The place can rent you gear for snorkelling which is great. I highly recommend it.
Arrived by buggy (there is parking just across the road, next to the restaurant), around 10am and at that time there was plenty spots in the shade. Great spot for snorkel and we also used the slide and jumped from the platforms. We had a good time but not sure we would spend there all day. 5000 cop for lockers.
Absolutely loved. Well organized. Great views and clear water with lots of beautiful fish (good for snorkeling). There are two jumping platforms and a toboggan. You can also rent life jackets for a fair price. The restaurant's kitchen seems to be clean, but we did not take any chances to eat there. There is a nice restaurant across the road. To pay attention: there's no first-aid kit available at the facility. The EMS on the island is not well planned for minor injuries. As an open knee the we saw a woman being cared out there. Be aware of the rocks while swimming and going up the stairs.
Great experience. Lots of fish to swim with. Slide is fun. Come early as it's a small area and lots of people. Only 8000 pesos entrance and life vests are 5000 or 10000 depending on type. Take the "El Cove" bus from downtown for 4500 pesos each way... about 30 minute ride.
The staff was not friendly at all, seemed like they would want to be anywhere but not there. They feed the fish with bread, so people can see them really close to the shore. We were there on a Sunday and it was full of people. The chairs were dirty and we had to go one by one in the water so our things will still be there when we return. They close at 5pm, so can’t stay for the sunset. Unfortunately, on that side of the island there aren’t many sandy beaches, so we gave it a try. For a swim it’s okay, as they have a leader, but not worth the money.
Great experience to spend the day in San Andrés. The best part for me was swimming with all the fish around, there were many! I loved it At the end of the safe area, you could see a stingray swimming touching the ground (I felt pretty safe, it was quite deep) The slide and the trampoline are also a great thing to experience! Note that if you don’t have swimming goggles, you’ll have to buy one there, they don’t rent it. We paid 45,000 COP (approximately 12 dollars at the time) and they have other options.

This is highly recommended, as the church sits on the highest point in San Andres, with a 360 view of the island at the stiple. Yes, there is an entry fee and its worth the value, which helps keep the church building up and the private school. Be prepared to climb the staircase, as its tight and narrow as you get to the top. This is a church, so be respectful and don't go with bathing suits on or with your shirt off. People are complaining about $10,000 pesos to enter, but spend $20,000+ pesos for alcohol at the bar.
Great views. Interesting history. We were the only people to go up to the top that we saw.
Nice service! The congregation is very welcoming and the monument well taking care of.

Having been to other beaches in Colombia where I was constantly harassed by vendors this has been an amazing experience so far. I rented a tent and the sand is beautiful the water is clean and it's almost like bath water. No loud music or anything what others have said yes it could be a little bit crowded but really it's not a big deal.
Great beach right in the center of everything! There is plenty of shade or sun. You can rent a tent or umbrella for a fee, and you’ll get beachside food and drink service. There are occasional vendors walking through trying to sell you things but it is minimal. The water is crystal clear and the beach itself is very clean. Along the beach is a nice promenade with shops and restaurants. This beach is often very lively and busy, and many people bring speakers to listen to music and dance!
Beautiful and amazing beach! I'm totally in love! The color of the sand, the color of the water - absolutely amazing! A bit crowded and so many people asking every 5 second if you want coconut water or the African braids, but that's normal everywhere so let's say it's bearable.
The beech is amazing but San Andres administration lacks good administration like everywhere else in the island. They don't enforce not littering and no dog on the beech ( as they also have a sign posted) The sunrise is great to watch and water is a good water to enjoy and swim in. There are plenty restaurants and some coffee shop in walking distance.
Super clean beach with sun shades and chairs available for rent. The sea is nice and warm with clear water, so great for snorkelling. Beach vendors are friendly, and you can get a nice fried fish delivered directly to your beach spot. Safe area with beach patrols and life guards. Consumption of alcohol on the beach is permitted.
People have trashed this beach. We were distressed on our first morning in San Andres to walk out onto this beach and find it covered in trash. Straws, bottle caps, cans, wrappers, and many other types of trash were all about and mixed in the sand. I walked fearing that I would step on broken glass or cut my foot on a bottle cap. At the end of September there was also tons of Sargasso seaweed covering the beach and floating in the water too.
Beautiful beach with nice soft sand. Very crowded at times but overall great experience!
The beach is beautiful The white soft sand is just fantastic and the water is delicious, there are nice chairs to seat at the beach and is right next to a comfortable walk near small shops were you can find food , drinks and other things, however there's too much seaweed at the beach and could get a little crowded since is not a very long beach

Randomly saw this place on Google maps and Franklin gave us the best tour and told us more about the island than anyone! Definitely would go back to this sanctuary! Alligators and Iguanas and cool birds! Add this to your tour of the island! Only 5.000 COP!
Very nice place to visit in the middle of San Andres. Kaimans are very nice and interesting to see. Just pay attention to all the guides that want you to pay useless money to them for not showing you anything. You can do everything on your own and you don't need a guide. Amazing also the bar there and just chilling there smoking and drinking some beers. Entrance is about 10k if I remeber well.
This was a cool stop on my trip to San Andres. There was a Cayman who seemed to be very eager to eat some fish that were provided by the staff. Unfortunately, the path around the pond was closed due to rain. The whole area is very cool and has a great vibe. Also our guide spoke perfect English.
It's a chill little place that you can probably make an afternoon of. We hired a local guide and you do have to pay a small entrance fee to get in there is a bar or two here where you can buy drink and food. As far as I know there isn't much do here maybe a trail or two but it's very quiet and a unique place so if you have the time you can stop off for a visit
Very cheap entry, community led guiding, a bar with kitchen. Guides were super friendly.
My friend suggested we check this out since this used to be a fresh water pond that people would use to smuggle animals through. It’s completely safe and the people working there are very kind. They speak English too so it’s convenient for those who struggle with Spanish. Entrance is 5mil ( Apr 2023 ). There’s drinks served there and they get the crocodile to come out. There’s a black line that goes around the pond which I’m assuming is for the crocodiles not to pass.
Wow, what a special place. Just 5000 COP per person entry gets you a tour of the peaceful lake surrounded by caymans, wild horses and native birds. Our guide was wonderful and pointed out the various local plants while his dog followed along. He also picked off mangoes straight off the trees for us to eat, and they were absolutely delicious. Cannot recommend stopping here enough; it was a little slice of calm paradise in busy San Andres.
Well worth a visit when you were Visiting San Andres Island. So cool to see the comments and enjoy the Beautiful late and have a beer at the little local reggae bar.

Amazing experience. Very nice plants and beautiful tower where you can see the island from above. I con highly reccomend it. Not very expensive either (10k or 20k cop) can't remember right.
If you have time to spare and you are tired of the beach, then visit. It has a nice view of San Andrés, but that's it!
The view from the tower offers a stunning look at the seaside, which is definitely worth enjoying. The hike is quite short—shorter than I expected—but still enjoyable. I recommend setting aside about 1 hour for the visit. It’s a pleasant experience overall.
An excellent repository of native and brought in plants are in the gardens. The tour was excellent and this is a must visit place. This may not be in your to do list in the island, however this is an excellent place to learn about the botanical history of the island. The view from the mirador is a must to see as well. The place can get very hot, hence don't forget your water. Watch out for the iguanas that could come out in your way.
It's a beautiful place to visit and to learn about the Nature, and for to do something diferent. The wiew over a 4th floor in that site it's simply amazing, You can look The sea, the jungle, The beach, The city at 360°...
A nice place to take a walk and learn about the flora and fauna on and around the island. The walkways are nice and the view from the tower is amazing. Would highly recommend.
