Rebuilt sanctuary on a bluff known for its centuries-old Black Madonna statue & vast sea views.
Slide 1 of 8
A recent build of a basilica over a number of ancient sites. You can still see the older version behind and above the new building. Great views and astonishing decor inside.
Tindari is an immensely powerful sacred mountain atop which sits the sacred shrine of The Black Madonna of Tindari. The shrine is a powerhouse of sacred healing energy and ancient magic! Be sure to visit the basilica as well as the Greek historical ruins and talk to the kind local shop keepers as well! If you want to know more about the Black Madonna within Christianity I highly recommend you read Jean Hani’s book “The Black Virgin: A Marian Mystery” before going to Tindari so you can fully appreciate what you are experiencing there!
Most Beautiful Chapel on the Island! Quite possibly the most beautiful chapel I have ever seen. I can’t imagine how long this must have taken to build. It is so ornate throughout. From the amazing stained glass to the marble floors to the most beautiful mosaics I’ve ever seen. This would have been difficult anywhere, but you add the fact that it is on top of a giant mountain from centuries ago? No idea how they did this. And it’s gorgeous on the outside as well, with an incredible view. If you only get to visit one chapel in Sicily, make it this one! Absolutely worth your time (you can even visit the Roman ruins next door). Also, there’s free parking part way up and a bit of a walk to the chapel. Be prepared to walk through several vendors, but I recommend getting some flavored peanuts to make the rest of your day more flavorful.
In Sicily, I visited quite a few churches — from those in Monreale to Cefalù, Palermo, and Syracuse — and I must say, this one was among the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful.
Visited as part of our Youth Jubilee program. The church is beautiful beyond words. The ceramics were just beautiful. If it wasnt because of our tight schedule, i would love stay abit longer to pray and enjoy the scenery.
Beautiful place on the cliffs. The story of the Black Madonna is also very interesting. I recommend visiting together with the archaeological park (which is closed mondays)
This is certainly worth the walk up the hill from the resort of Marinello. Beautiful building and stunning views
Parking is below the sanctuary and you go up with a bus, cost us only €1 per person. The church is absolutely beautiful and huge, Well kept and clean Stunning views over looking the Laghetti di Marinella over a sunset

A lovely beach with crystal clear water and most important not so busy. A good 25min walk on the beach to reach punta marinella but I would definitely suggest it if you want some peace and quiet. There is also a boat service to take you there for 8eur if walking is not your thing.
A beautiful lagoon with small salty pools. Pleasant for a walk and refreshment.
Travelled by boat from Olivieri for €6 return You will need an umbrella and own food/drinks, nothing on the beach. Beautiful clear water but does go deep after a few meters , lots of fish & just refreshing to swim. Well kept Beach and not crowded
Amazing place- other worldy feel to it with a spit of beach dividing the sea. Little inland lakes. Partly sand but mixed mainly with shingle. Sensitive feet will need water sandals. Sea temperature so warm here .
Absolutely stunning! We had a nice walk out to the spit and back. Bring your own beach umbrella, food and water if you plan to stay long as there aren't shops around (yay).
Although the walk to get there is somewhat challenging with your feet sink in the sand, it's all worth it once you get there.
A good beach, interesting small lakes and a nice view with a castle on the hill.
most gorgeous walks, incredibly clean place with lovely restaurants nearby.

An amazing archeological site minutes walk from the sanctuary of Tindari. A small but complete sample of life in Roman times. Awesome views of the sea. Very much worth the Visit. Access to the main carpark and there's a bus every 15 min, so no need to climb up the hill. 2€ each return.
Ancient theatre. Beautiful seaside location. Occasional special performances.
The theatre is a highlight, with panoramic views across the beautiful bay. I feel it lacked English commentary on the already sparse Italian information boards. Though my imagination could fill in the blanks, it would have a lot more impact with more information. I recommend the audio guide if you can find it.
Lovely old ruins right on top of a big hill overlooking the sea. Some well-preserved mosaics were a particular highlight. Recommend parking next to the big church and walking the last bit as the streets are very narrow.
The museum is very detailed and worth visiting at least once. Unfortunately, receptionist in the ticket office quite rude and considering that this place should survive from the tourism - very inattentive. No other staff around to ask for any help or directions. Toilets seem better day.
Very interesting and worth visiting. We were surprised that there were not many people there.
20-30 minutes you go around it. Beautiful x Entrance costs €6 per person.

This place, was absolutely beautiful spot for a dinner, with breathtaking views of the beach and wonderful atmosphere here ! From the moment we walked in we fell very welcome, we ordered some cocktails to start with and they were outstandingly good ! The food menu had good variety of choices and it was very tasty! We both enjoyed our dinner and few drinks, we were so impressed buy the staff , who were excellent !!! We would like to say a big Thank you to Elena, who welcomed us and made our visit so much easier and so much fun (spoke really good English!). Also Francesca, for her impeccable knowledge of local beauty spots and friendliness! Valeria who cooked for us delicious meal! Chefs Specials are definitely worth a try! It was so good that we returned the next day! And it was constantly wonderful service from all the staff , so thank you Jiuseppe for looking after us on our second visit! We definitely will be back to see you all again! Xxxx
What a lucky find! We were riding along the coast from Milazzo, looking for a place to hang out for a while and get some coffee. This place was perfect! The location is awesome, and so is the environment, plenty of sitting places right along the coast. Our drinks were yummy, service was terrific, and we would definitely return
Very nice setting, day-beach club with friendly staff. Food is very Good and cheap. We had a nice early evening Aperitivo + pasta & sardines (specialty of the day) Would recommend!
Beautiful beach with stunning views! Lovely service and a delicious fruit salad. Highly recommended! 🌊☀️🌴
The baldacchino is 28 euros after 1st of July, 2 sunbeds + umbrella in the garden are also 28 euros or 19 euros at the sea. Nice atmosphere, small menu but decent prices for everything. Not many tables available. Would come again😀 P.s. Sea isn't too shallow, so not ideal for children.
We cought some nice waves, also some great pictures at the cliffs in the water. The food and the staff were nice, also the prices were pretty normal.
We have been there during our stay in Patti several times. Since we have been there before the high season has started we had most of the space in the beach club for our own. The facility is in good shape and the staff is enormous friendly and customer oriented. All foods and drinks we had were delicious. The price range is on the lower end. We would recommend to step by and enjoy the club, the beach and have a great time there during your stay. Thanks to the whole team.
A great spot for breakfast/lunch, also serves very good and cheap drinks especially relative to the view and place. Absolutely 10/10 everything was perfect, if I'm ever in Mongiove again this is the first place I'd return again.

Really worth a visit. Amazing mosaics uncovered when they were developing the road. Well preserved, the villa spreads over a large area, with clearly defined rooms, and remnants of their previous use.
The place is very interesting BUT is closed! Since few months is because of "renovations" closed. We were here 2 years ago for the first time and was very interesting. The nice lady from the main entrance didn't know how long it's going to be closed
Now 5 euro entrance. Car park is under a fly over. Site is now covered with a roof to protect it and seems to have been cleared. Small museum on site. Toilets (no paper)
Off the beaten path. Under a highway overpass is this little gem of a Roman villa with great mosaics.
This is an interesting archeological site that has basically been abbandoned. It desperately needs maintenance, with dust and thorny plants everywhere, covering walls and even on the walkway...
Lots of historical significance located almost under the Autostrada
Very nice place, lots of art and history

(Translated by Google) In Patti, an important Sicilian clerical and social hub overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, the life of this charming, clean and tidy Sicilian city and its history revolves around true artisan institutions, such as that of the Buzzanca JOLI' family which continues the great Pattese pastry tradition that since the early 1900s with the Gran Caffè Galante, an Art Nouveau monument, unfortunately now closed due to lack of generational continuity. Joli' represents the history and continuity of the traditions of Conventual pastry making from the Poor Clares to the Benedictines......The city of Messina and its province are the safes of precious recipes handed down over the centuries from pignolata to sweets of Arab origin to pastries with cream to the processing of almonds, Martorana fruit, not to forget the Granitas, the only territory in Sicily that you can enjoy 365 days a year, the Messina area has always had an absolutely prominent place in all Sicilian pastry making. ....the Irreras, the Doddis, the Venutis, Rosario Scandaliato, Billè (apart from Mr Sergio il mariulo), Lillo Freni, Antonino Carbonaro, Buzzanca, the Ventaglios and others who won't mind me if I don't name them.. .. but absolutely the great reference for pastry chefs in the last 70 years has been Charles Jeni, the "Michelangelo" of Messina pastry art.... .Returning to the Joli' pastry shop of the Buzzanca family, here you find that love and passion in carrying on the conventual tradition of the Poor Clare nuns such as the "Pasticciotti Pattesi", sweet ravioli filled with very fine minced meat seasoned with almonds and herbs. who deceived those who were fasting during Lent. A recipe that the nuns of the monastery of Santa Chiara handed down, in fact, these desserts were born even before the "Modican mpanatigghi" and then the fantastic strawberry cake the setteveli, not to mention the cannoli with sheep's ricotta and crunchy peels etc. The journey it's worth everything to delight yourself and enjoy caresses on the palate! Well done... really good staff and owners and thank you for giving us the opportunity to still be able to enjoy delights that have years of passion and sacrifice behind them for an art that makes the difference in this area. I was told several times that it would arrive in just 5 minutes, but these promises were not kept. When the brioche finally arrived, I was told that the granita, a key element of the breakfast I had ordered, was no longer available. I understand that there may be bad days or unexpected setbacks, but in these cases a sincere apology is enough to remedy the situation. Instead, when it was time to pay, when asked what had gone wrong, a sarcastic response was given: "you who came here". Being famous is not enough to have customers, you also need to know how to treat them, especially in the event of a mistake. This Hotel to me is like going to visit your family. It is a very clean hotel the location can't get better. Everything is near by. The people greet you with respect. The beach side has an umbrella and chair all included in price can't get better. Then you also have a DJ named Cicco, he is such a beautiful person he is.awesome you feel good and also the others make you feel great. This is the second time for me and I hope to come every year. I did my research but found Park Phillip to be #1 , 5 star Hotel for me. Hope you will have the opportunity to go and enjoy your stay there.
My in-laws made a booking with they're friends of San Giuliano for 2 weeks in the month of June/July. They thoroughly enjoyed Hotel Phillip and the staff. The pictures online doesn't do the hotel justice, in real life it is way better. The room was good sized, clean and well maintained. They just wished their room had a bidet. The food served was above average and quite abundant. But the selling point of this hotel is the amazing staff, friendly and helpful. To Silvia & Massimo, thank you so much for the amazing service. From Carla & Italo (San Giuliano)
Very convenient location to visit the Eolian Island. Staff is very helpful and service is attentive. Good place for family as the beach is just opposite the hotel and it's very clean. The hotel is smaller than an average resort and more suited to people who prefer a relaxing a place which is not overcrowded. Food is good and so is the entertainment. We are considering coming back again next year.
(Translated by Google) We just returned to our hometown of Rome, carrying with us a truly special and fantastic experience. We spent the first week of September at the Park Philip Hotel. What can I say, it's like home. The staff is always helpful and courteous, and they always try to accommodate every request. Excellent food, fantastic entertainment, and a wonderful sea. The hotel also has a beautiful, large pool. The rooms are quite large, modern, and always smell great. The cleanliness is top-notch. If you can't stand the small stones under your feet, I recommend bringing beach shoes. The only downside, if we can call it that, is that they don't have a reserved parking lot, so you have to be lucky to find one nearby. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff, and...see you next time! Erika
(Translated by Google) Fantastic stay! We spent an unforgettable week at the Park Philip Hotel: a property right in the center of Patti Marina, overlooking the sea and well-connected via the train station. We had the opportunity to relax, enjoy the crystal-clear sea, and the restaurant's numerous specialties: top-quality ingredients, cooked with care. For each meal, we were offered different alternatives than the previous day (a choice of two dishes for the first and second course, with the addition of a third dish for those who didn't like the ones suggested). We really enjoyed the vegetable buffet, which was also excellently cooked. Typical dishes were often featured. The staff also contributed to making our trip wonderful: Mr. Massimo with his friendliness and helpfulness, Giada with her kindness, Ms. Silvia with her impeccable breakfast, the dining room staff with their dedication and patience, Mr. Ignazio with his friendliness, and the lifeguards with their helpfulness. The entertainers were very friendly and unobtrusive. Special thanks to the housekeeping staff, always helpful and impeccable. This is our third time staying at this property, and we're sad to leave. We're sure we'll be back. Martucci Family (Original) Soggiorno fantastico! Famiglia Martucci
