Hiking area
Short hiking trails through a scenic forest access these large waterfalls with dramatic cascades.
Slide 1 of 8
Very nice, easy hike of 50 mins. You can park in the closest parking for 10 euros, and P3 which is 10 minutes away is for free. We went sunday around 12, and there were still places. There are 3 waterfalls, first one is 20 mins, second another 15 mins and the last around 10 mins.
Must be seen, parking available till 10 am after that not so much. Prices in bar and restaurant little bit high but food is excellent
Great hike! Easy, and paths are made well. Beautiful scenery everywhere you look
Amazing place but I would not recommend the climb for people with reduced mobility or small children. Highly recommended bringing your own food, there are places to eat on the bottom of the place next to the parking lot but they want 23 euros for a hotdog and 5 euros for a coke. Absolutely outrageous
Highly recommended to visit. Very beautiful place for nature lovers
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. Easy 15 minute walk to the falls. Beautiful!
Great for children for all ages. Difficultly of the row is medium for lazy people 🫣
Parking ticket for the daily is 10euros if you park close by the hiking trail entrance. The waterfalls are so nice!!! to get to the top is 55 min . It’s totally worth it! They also have amazing food and drinks at entrance!

Castle
Sights & Landmarks
Grand medieval castle on a hill, open for tours to see the elaborate frescoes & furnishings.
Slide 1 of 8
Really cool medieval castle full of history, scenic views, and relics. We happened to show up right before the start of a tour. The tours are only offered in German and Italian. We grouped up with the Italian your being that we speak Spanish. They do give you an English handout which has some of the tour details. Most of the tour info is included in the handout. Regardless, our tour guide took the time to give us some tidbits in English during the tour. We were grateful to have Margarita as our guide. This place was super cool with so many things to see. Unfortunately for us, it was closing time right after our tour. Make sure you come a bit early to be able to see the rest of the exhibitions and visit the gift shop. And lastly, don't forget to leave a tip at the end of the tour. Enjoy y'all!
Nice... one of the 400 castles in South Tyrol. Visitable with guided tours in german or italian. Big but not sup big castle yet the tour takes you through 20 rooms and displays castle life fom the middle ages to 1800s. Cool. Tip a car parking is situated next to cadtle yet to find you will have to drive a bit further on the main road
Really cool medieval castle with informational plaques in German, Italian, and English. Guided tours are on the hour in German and Italian and are the only way to go into the rooms. If you choose the courtyard tour (€7), you still get a very cool experience walking up the tower and see great views of the valley. Definitely worth checking out if you have an hour or so! The walk from the bus station felt more like a hike and there’s construction on the roads currently (may 2024) forcing us to walk on gravel and mud.
The guided tour is definitely worth it!
Great small Castle to visit. Park your car in town, enjoy the walk to the castle and join a guided tour. The castle might not be as big as others, but the guided tour and the well equipped rooms (original furniture, books, etc.) make it worth while. Take your time exploring the castle, some areas are not part of the guided tour, but still accessible, such as the tower, the garden, kitchen and the old ice cellar. Afterwards there is a small restaurant nearby, where you can enjoy a good meal and a perfect view over the Ahrntal region.
1hour tour with a great guide (It, Ger, Eng), check the opening hours first, many websites are incorrect as Google. Also dont trust googlemaps with 15min walk from downtown Campo Tures, as the road is quite steep once oit of the town. That said add 10mins for quick walk or 15mins for sights. Or take a car just bellow the castle with 90min free parking. The castle dates back to 12th century with lots of remodeling but keeps its stone look. On the tour you will get to see about 10chambers, courtyard, tower, catwalk. Well kept wooden interiors, amazing library and decorations. Nice views to the valley. Good way to spend 90min walking trip once in the region. Review of 4stars as 5stars belong to Ducal Palace in Venice :) enjoy. 10€ adult
Small castle is worth visiting only with the guided tour, which occurs more or less hourly, so there's usually a good chance to catch one. Price for visit+tour is fair. Currently, there are a few expositions which can be seen without a guide.
Lovely little castle. Well worth a visit if in the area. Information regarding parking is not clear. There is free parking at the castle. Dogs are welcome in the courtyard and sounding area but not inside for the guided tour. Kennels are available for free but are very small.

Wellness center
Spas & Wellness
Slide 1 of 8
Amazingly good wellness center packed with different recreation zones, various types of saunas and swimming pools. Very spacious, tidy, stylish areas, nice furnishings. Pure retreat and relaxation. Sauna zone naked only, swimming pools require swimwear. Once in a live time experience to attend the sauna show (the one places outside the main building) believe me this is HOT. Definitely worth coming, 25,5 euro for a full day. No much pics from here due to the privacy, there a loads of them on the official website.
Paid 53€ to borrow two sets of towels and slippers, which was more than the entrance fee itself. Swimming pool part was closed - but no signs of this before entering. Not a relaxing experience, at least not for the wallet.
The sauna part is absolutely perfect! The mountains views, the perfection of the crafts and architecture, silence, beauty.
A very nice family friendly place. Even if you don't have anything you can buy it at the shop for a good price. Once inside there are a number of pools to choose from including outdoor ones with a great kids are. All in all a wonderful place to relax for the day for a very low price.
First they changed opening hour from 21.30 to 19 and when we arrived the Bademeister (lifeguard) have decided to close the outside pools due to wind without notice at 17.30. It’s no hard wind at all, someone who wanted to leave early?
Fantastic spa. Worth the visit and nudity observed
Dear Cascade Staff, Thank you for making our spa day one of the most memorable of our entire vacation. Everyone of the staff members we talked to was very polite and professional. I have to say a very special thank you specifically to Antonio and Silvia, who went out of their way to make sure we had the most relaxing experience possible! Highly recommend making this a priority if you are in the area.
A beautifull wellnesscenter with indoor- and outdoor pool. As from the first opening, we had the opportunity -presented by Hotel Markus- to visit this pool in wintertime. For us a yearly returning and highly appreciated TOP evening during our school ski holidays!

Awesome. Also great bar.
The parking is 10 euros for full day but even for 4-5 hours you will pay 7-8 euros. Toilets near the parking for both gender and clean. There is a restaurant just beside the parking. I suggest cooking before 9:30 on a weekend to get a spot.
(Translated by Google) Leave your car in the paid parking (€10 per day, or free within a 20' walk) close to the waterfall bar, you will have two options: take the normal path or, indeed, the Path of San Francesco. The Riva di Tures waterfalls are located in the Vedrette di Ries Natural Park and can all be reached on foot via signposted paths. They are fed by the Riva stream which collects water from the glaciers that dominate the town of the same name. In the initial part you cross a beautiful forest and, after about 20 minutes, you reach the 1st waterfall with a height of about 15-20 metres. Continuing along the path of the Path of St. Francis you will come across places of meditation and prayer dedicated to the Patron Saint of Italy. After about 40 minutes you will arrive at the 2nd waterfall with a height of 30-35 meters... the explosive water shows the strength of nature! After another 45 minutes you will reach the 3rd waterfall (this last stretch, although a little more challenging, is also passable with children and the fences are always present), imposing and "noisy" and which marks the end of the waterfall route that here they reach 40 meters in height. An undemanding trip (with suitable trekking shoes given the sometimes rocky and slippery terrain) in a pleasant setting that is worth discovering. P.S.: I recommend proceeding after the third waterfall and also visiting the Chapel of S. Francesco and S. Chiara. Where possible, don't go on weekends, because it's very crowded.

(Translated by Google) If you want to take a not too demanding walk and see 3 waterfalls, one more beautiful and majestic than the other, come and visit the Riva Waterfalls. Park your car at the start of the trail. 2.00 euros per hour or 10.00 euros for the whole day. Consider that in 2/3 hours you can do everything without running. You will find the first waterfall after 15'. The second waterfall is still a 15 minute walk and the third is a few more minutes. The path is marked as the route of San Francesco. After the third waterfall you can see the little church at the top....a slightly more difficult staircase to climb, but it's worth it. Parcheggi l'auto all'inizio del sentiero. 2.00 euro l'ora o 10.00 euro x l'intera giornata.
(Translated by Google) The trail starts from Campo Tures and in about 2 hours leads to the Church dedicated to San Francesco and Santa Chiara, at almost 1200 meters above sea level. The route is marked by stages marked with the phrases of the prayer of San Francesco, where those who want can stop to meditate and rest. From a naturalistic point of view, you encounter the three waterfalls of Riva, one more beautiful than the other. In my opinion the route, all immersed in the shade, can be easily tackled by the whole family. If you really don't want to get to the top, you can stop at one of the waterfalls.

The trail is very easy and straightforward, passing by works of art and meditation areas dedicated to Franciscan spirituality, amidst tall fir trees. The Canticle of the Creatures offers a different pace to the walk, transforming it into a contemplation of the beauty of creation. Following the entire trail, you'll reach the three stunning Riva di Tures waterfalls, and you can descend on the flyline, a special harness that runs along a rail and takes you back down to the valley in just a few minutes. A great experience for the entire family and of every experience levels. They have rafting for young kids to day long trips for the big kids. Booking is very efficient online or by telephone. They’ve plenty of changing facilities and parking. Highly recommend
We had an awesome time with Steffi! The rafting part was about 1.5 hours and it was plenty of fun, with the guides keeping things interesting with games. Expect to get wet! There’s even an opportunity to jump off a bridge into the water.
We did the easy rafting. Nice and kind guide and a great experience. Rafting is about an hour and the rest of the time you go out of the boat to the waterfall and with the bus to the location.
Amazing and the staff and guide were wonderful! Truly memorable.
We did a rafting tour with this company which also included a short hike to a waterfall (which we were able to walk behind), a jump into the river and some swimming in the river. We did some more advanced rafting before, so it was an easy river to raft on. The parking situation at the meeting spot was a little tricky.
SUPER FUN EXCELENT EXPIRENCE 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯 AND DIEGO IS THE 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐. Only the photos where expensive 30 euro😭💔. (Sorry) . DEFINATLY RECOMENDDDDDDD
Although it was a grey and cold day, the rafting was very nice! The guides are very skilled and really fun. They really try to make it even more entertaining with a lot of different challenges and interactions with the other groups/boats. I would really recommend doing this when in the area.
We did both rafting and canyoning. Great team, the trips were fantastic, Patrick as a guide is a blast, I would love to do another tour with them. Highly recommended!

Great views and incredible nature! Enjoyable summertime and wintertime. You can reach the start of the Speikboden lifts via car or preferably via bus from nearby towns. Prices are still lower than for the larger ski areas. Kids area, restaurants, ski and equipment rent.
What a gorgeous mountain region! I do appreciate the Tour we made, well-constructive trails, beautiful scenery, no stress from massive crowd, several different levels of hiking trails available. We enjoyed The rolling mountains cover with early snow surround the green valley and clear blue sky above that is so surreal! The truth nature is supposed like it without man-made ingredient. There are some hiking trails we could choose but for the sudden snow fall and my physical weakness therefore the shortest and easiest trail - Zirbenweg is our best choice. Ö
Summer review: amazing views from the panoramic trail, very well marked too, but no water/fountains in the whole area and all the huts sell half a liter for 3 euro (which is about double the standard cost)
We have been to Speikboden two times now and really love it. The ski instructors are so knowledgeable and fantastic. We skied with Doris this year and the other year with Charly. They improved our skiing so dramatically. I would say the instruction is some of the best instruction for any sport I have done in my life and I have taken extensive riding and swimming instruction. This is a very family- and kids- friendly ski resort with a variety of terrain and great food options. We love skiing down to Mittlestation which is a traditional "hut" or large cabin. The food is incredibly good, especially their pasta with ragu in a pan and rosti, which is grilled potatoes in butter with two eggs and parma ham on top. For the holiday season this year they had a huge snow castle and giant igloos you can go into and have drinks. Also we rented sleds and you can ski down from the top of "Speiky-way" all the way to the village 7 km below then take the public bus with your pass back to the ski resort. So much fun.
Granted in summer the views are great and true hikers will enjoy the trails that follow the high ridges from peak to peak. But if you're coming here with kids expecting lots of activities like Plose or Klausberg you'll be dissapointed. Besides a small playground, mini hay jump and neglected petting zoo (where baby rabbits are manhandled by overeager children) there's not much to do and considering the price of the lift ticket you're better off at the above mentioned destinations where you can go-kart down a mountain or enjoy a hair raising bob-run. Enjoy the journey!

This is one of the most fun things to do in this area. During the walk to the starting point of the fly-line you pass 3 beautiful waterfalls, the next one more beautiful than the first one. The last one is the most impressive. After your climb, which takes about 30 min, you can fly down again trough the trees and past the waterfalls (€12 per person, only cash). The fly-line isn’t very fast so you have enough time to enjoy your surroundings. You can park near the Rivas Wasserfallbar (paid) and at the bar follow the most left path (see arrow). The signs at the start are not clear, when you start the walk they are easy to follow.
Such a fun adventure! We were able to park in the small lot by the cafe and hike up to the starting point. Great signage and directions to get to the starting point!
Highly recommended for all ages! Long and slow trip (about 5.5 minutes). Children can be with their parents. Costs 11 euro per adult, 10 per senior (above 60) You can buy a photo of yourself for another 5 euros (something like that). If you don't have cash, you can pay with credit card at the end of the zipline
Lovely experience! Enjoyed it a lot and would do it again! 9€ (adults) / 7€ (kids until 14) and around 5mins flying in the forest next to waterfalls... Must do if you are here.
Was a great experience , the omega itself is about 6-10 min, was very fun and the price is fair
It was a life experience. (You have to climb about 30min to reach the starting point, not a hard trip)
Young or old, the fly line at the waterfalls is the perfect activity for everyone in the summer months or in early autumn. We enjoyed the hike around the waterfalls leading to the Flyline. Queuing was uncomplicated but please have patience and the price was in line what you would expect; credit cards were accepted. The views coming down throughout the forest were wonderful. Souvenirs and photos are available at the end of the fly line. Car parking and toilets are easily accessible however I would avoid the Bar to have some snacks as the prices are just absurd.
Very nice hiking place with a breathtaking view of 3 waterfalls. The flyline going down the mountain passing beside the waterfalls is a geat idea and an exciting experience. 👍👍👍

Thanks to a document from 1309 it became known that Hugo VI of Tures had wanted to found a convent, never built, in honor of Santa Chiara. Once the castle fell into ruin in 1982, the municipality of Campo Tures decided to recover this very ancient church and dedicate the newly created chapel to San Francesco and Santa Chiara at the end of 10 meditation and prayer stations that accompany the visitor along the ascent to the three waterfalls of Shore. In the chapel there are two statues dedicated to the Saints, a crucifix with an altar and some benches, while a spiral staircase leads to the lower floor where the crypt of San Damiano is located. The building, built at the beginning of the 16th century, has a Gothic structure typical of the time, but its interior has undergone numerous alterations with overlapping styles. The things that most attract attention are the high altar with an altarpiece containing wooden sculptures, the stained glass windows, the pulpit and the baptismal font of ancient workmanship. Above the door leading to the single nave there is an organ of an unusual shape. The area of the church is surrounded by a wall ABOUT 2.5 m high, inside which there is the lovely cemetery, where the wrought iron crosses and the flowerbeds full of brightly colored flowers stand out.

Nice little museum where you can learn how wool is made into yarn. There is a little shop as well. My kids liked learning about the different steps it takes to make yarn. We were the only ones there when we went through.
(Translated by Google) the guided view of the processing and production of wool is wonderful. the two owners fascinated us with the history of their business, in which they still use ancient machines and still work and sew everything by hand. the workshop (Tuesdays at 5pm) for adults and children on felt processing is unmissable, a truly great time for everyone. a gem, to do again! (Translated by Google) For many years we have been coming on holiday to this splendid paradise that is the Aurina Valley and we take long walks especially along the path that runs through the entire valley, from Campo Tures to Ca di Pietra, equipped with benches and fountains to cool off. I don't give the fifth star due to a significant problem in my opinion: I don't forbid anyone from enjoying these paths, but having bicycles pass at high speed among pedestrians with children, strollers, dogs and elderly people risking being run over is not the best, especially if the bikes come up behind you and don't even warn you. Couldn't something be done about this? Furthermore, you managed to ruin the town and the typical food festival in the street by removing your beautiful Tyrolean music and your wonderful ballets, playing music that... Okay, let's forget about it... You are throwing away years of sacrifices served to keep the only paradise left intact, too bad, this valley is wonderful as it is, don't ruin it!!!
(Translated by Google) During our July holiday in the Aurina Valley, precisely in Selva dei Molini, we visited Campo Tures several times, where it is extremely pleasant to walk in peace in the pedestrian centre, but above all along the various walks on the banks of the Aurino stream. Great is the care given both by the administration and by private individuals to the order and cleanliness of the environment, many compliments for all this. Even when the heat makes itself felt, there are cool places to relax, such as in the central park with very tall trees, benches and tables. Worthy of special note is the presence of two charging stations for electric vehicles.
(Translated by Google) All very nice, the only negative note is that walking along the Ahrntal valley on the path is increasingly a risk because the speed of the cyclists jeopardizes the safety of pedestrians, children and dogs on a leash, the cyclists come up from behind at full speed without acoustic warning, and sooner or later someone will pay a high price, and as is customary in this country afterwards, perhaps, measures will be taken..... How sad!
(Translated by Google) Campo Tures was a magical and wonderful place, and it would still be so if only the policy of "new" and "redoing" had not, in the space of a few years, distorted the structure, appearance and urban planning of the town ( something, to tell the truth, common to all of Alto Adige), making this place unrecognizable and without identity. A clean sweep which, towards the end of the 1990s, deliberately and stupidly erased the history and characteristics of almost the entire area, making it anonymous and conformed to the tourist-commercial dictates of a mentality devoted only to consumption and profit .

Largest gothic rural church of Tyrol!!!
(Translated by Google) The parish church of S. Maria Assunta is located in the locality of Tures, along the Valle Aurina road approximately halfway between Mulini di Tures and Campo Tures. On the internal wall of the surrounding wall numerous gravestones have been collected and well arranged, testifying to the past of the entire valley.
